Okay, my idea is that we take the Battle of the Alamo and put it in a Science-Fiction setting. Say an astroid, and with single-shot laser-guns. Maybe we make Jim Bowie an alien with a titanium knife. May be the "Texians" are fighting for a star-system's independence. Well maybe some of you think this idea smacks of Anime, but at least give me some imput or ideas.

How about if humans were invited to settle on an outlying planet of an alien-controlled solar system.
Davy Crockett would be a former member of the parliament of the Earth Empire
Jim Bowie could have moved to the planet to make some money and ended up marrying the daughter of the alien governer of the planet

It's a start! It would be a nice build-up with tensions rising between the aliens and the human immigrants.

If you want them to fight legions of evil Space Nazis, I'm your man ;)
I'd come in to wipe out the aliens, who are obviously untermensch, and then the humans. Would allow them to bond in the face of adversity etc etc *yawn*

Sure. You could either make-up a character or invision an historical one,
I'll make a guy up..what kinda tech we using..like....my guys gonna be some kind of army infantry officer.

Single-shot laser-rifles with nano-fiber bayonets. They are loaded by opening a special chamber and then letting the chaber cool, then inserting a battery which allows for one incredibly accurate shot, which once it has penetrated it's mark, procedes to destable it's insides.
Also are cannons that are charged by the sun and fire super-charged heat-rays every 70 seconds. And there are explosive Rocket-Propelled anti-matter launchers.
The "Alamo" would be built of shock-absorbant material.
