Subantarctic Islands
08-04-2007, 15:46
From the Desk of the President Elect of the Confederacy of Subantarctic Islands.
Government House.
South Georgia Island.
Greetings members of the international community,
It is with great pleasure that I announce the new formation of the Confederacy of Subantarctic Islands, following a split from the overly-oppressive and dictatorial United Continent of Antarctica. This new confederacy consists of the Islands of South Georgia, South Sandwich Islands, Kerguelen, Crozet Islands, Marion Island, Herd Island, Gough Island and the Amsterdam and St Paul Islands respectively. Our newly founded capital is placed in South Georgia and we would request that any official communiques be addressed to the above.
We are concerned that the United Continent of Antarctica may not take kindly to our new founded independence and as you may gather, as a newly founded member of the international community of states we are somewhat in a weakened position at the time-being. We would welcome the support, diplomatically or otherwise, from other nations whom seek to defend democratic states and will repay such kindness in due course. All discussions on such matters are welcome.
Long live the new confederacy! Vive le Penguin! Vive le Islands!
Faithfully,
Arthur Donahue
President Elect Of the Confederacy of Subantarctic Islands.
