So, the question is simple. Anyone want to RP a zombie outbreak at one of my Universities? One of the best parts is my nation is overarmed so firearms/ weapons/ ammo will be abundant.

basically it'll be centered on a small outbreak at the University of Alabama's research lab spreading all throughout the state. This will include everything from taking back the state to figuring out the cause to cleansing everywhere. The first page will probably be just character development then I'll introduce the virus (based on the Zombie Survival Guide with some modifications)

What type of characters are you looking for?

really any standard-human character is welcome. I'd like to pull in our normal characters (Kowalski's), some from my Toga Party, and some from the Jedi RP (minus powers). Think dawn of the dead (new one) zombies with the starvation issue from 28 days later.

Basically the only think I don't want is Jedi powers--especially telekinesis, healing, and lightning. Similarly, think 2010 era technology and limited use of nanites.

And I chose a university because I'm at UA now so I know the layout (and I can help y'all with pictures) So welcome and I'll get the thread up and running by midnight tomorrow.

A little bit of backround: Leo has been interested in only three things in his life:Knife throwing, his girlfriend Cassie, and computer programming. He came from a poor family, so he grabbed at whatever scholarship he could get. It is his first year at UA, so he doesn't know the grounds very well. He does karate, and has volunteered for a gene therapy program that increases speed, strength, and dexterity at a severe loss of stamina, and a "roid rage" type of response (means he gets pissed and fights for about five minutes, then gets too tired to fight. He does a lot of damage though. This is optional, I have no problem deleting it.)

A little bit of backround:Cassie met Leo when they were 14. He had just thrown a knife that cracked a window in her home. She was from a rich family, so she had no trouble getting into college. She is a zombie fanatic, after watching several zombie movies when she was fourteen. She always carries around the Zombie Survival Guide, and insists that there are zombies. She planned on majoring in either some sort of music or Graphic Design. She also plays track and cross country.

Equipment: None really. She wasn’t expecting to need any sort of equipment. However, if you want to call it equipment, she does have her motorcycle, a Suzuki GSX-R 1300 Hayabusa, and her guitar.

Renee is attending UA based on it gave her the best scholarship out of high school. She isn’t a great student, but not a bad one either, and is fairly well liked among those who know her. She hasn’t had any sort of training or anything like this, so she is, of course, slightly out of her element. She didn’t play any sports in high school or anything of such, but is the type of person who can stay in natural shape. She is fairly attractive, and recently single. Her current goal is to just survive the outbreak.

Unless you’re a computer. He has a robotic dog too, but that’s staying behind this time.


Apparently human time travelling meddler in other peoples affairs, variously known by innumerate titles, whose powers consist of plot and an ability to not die, variously by the power of plot, and by total cellular regeneration under limited circumstances. Goes about the universe in a surprisingly compact vehicle that looks like a 1960s English Police Box. Doesn’t really do much fighting, although he’s good at various forms of such, mainly notable for intellect.

He has an alarming habit of appearing where there’s trouble, which is why he’s here. If questioned, he’s likely to claim to be a guest lecturer of some sort, with a bodyguard and intern/secretary.

Outwardly human associate of the prior. Highly proficient with most forms of weaponry, excellent linguist. Piercing gaze. Known for wearing long coats and varying his level of subtlety according to whim. Highly possessive of his sword, but tends to otherwise adopt locally styled weaponry. Rarely surprised and an excellent actor.

Notes: The last isn’t my character (Hell, none of them are, the first two are ripped off without shame) but will likely be played by Revenia. Background:

Michael is a student at UA. He is 80% blind in both eyes, but doesn't let that effect his daily life. He was able to join the Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (Mc/JROTC) at his high school, and moved on to be a cadet in the ROTC at UA. His friends affectionately refer to him as Turtle, because of knack for pulling the hood of his jacket over his head when frightened/intimidated. In spite of this, he is a good fighter, who trained for 5 years, and still practices, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Other than the black hooded jacket he wears, with the word "Disturbed" written on the hood, the one item he always carries is a medium-length hunting knife his father bought him. The blade is made of stainless steel, and the hilt is made of bone. He is majoring in music, and is a practicing guitarist/vocalist, particularly in genres relating to Metal.

Ms. Solar is a visiting professor of anthropology, specializing in the mythic aspects of various cultures - but then again she lived through most of the mythic aspects of various cultures - she merely looks human, though the only powers she currently has 'available' to her is her races life span - she's not an adult, yet <yes she can be injured and even killed, it's just that the children of the sun are "generations born and dieing "...>

She drives a battered, but nearly indestructable Range Rover that she ships with her where ever she goes. She has skills in big game hunting - both with bow and rifle - and is also skilled with large calibur pistols.

Has an old Holland and Holland custom built Royal Double side by side in .465 H & H and a new D.E. in 50AE in the way of immediately 'at hand' weapondry...

hey, I'm off to MEPS. Keep on going, just realize that this will end approx 15 May or before because of basic training. Just go ahead and RP t where the EMP hits today, zombies will breach on Friday, we will fight for about a week or so, leave the BOM next Sunday and find refuge elsewhere by Monday. Go ahead and run like normal. Mlasha's going to be hitting on the sniper and compete with him. Also mention the girls all have seen some form of hostile action and the like along with battle scars. That's pretty much it for me.

Ok, you're going to be in a second group of people we meet up with later. RP having been at Newhall (the police station) and working from there when its breached.

ok, seeing as there's only about four or five left RPing and I leave for 3 months in three days we also have 3 options.

1) have someone else RP for me
2) put the RP on hold until I return
or 3) abandon it all together.

I, personally vote for 2, and maybe we'll be able to get some things worked out with the details by then. But what say y'all
