Cape Libertad

From the Desk of the President Elect of the People's Republic of Cape Libertad and Dependant Territories:
Leaders of the World,
It gives me great pleasure to announce the establishment of our new republic following the overthrow of the despotic absolutist monarch regime in our small nation. The people, with their unfaltering support, have shown that they support our Socialist Party of Cape Libertad (SPCL) to take our small nation to a new future of social justice, equality and respect of human rights.
Our newly established regime is keen to begin a stringent process of modernising our ailing services and reorganising our instable economy. We are particularly keen to purchase modern medical, educational and agricultural equipment and of course modernise our neglected armed forces. This is to be funded by the selling-off of the contents of the former Royal Treasury which includes some billions of monies as well as overseas accounts, artifacts and jewels. A socialist society has no need of royal treasures and the sums amassed by the former royal household are best put to use in the improvement of our society. We welcome any proposals from foreign nations.
