This thread is the Gay Pride March/Parade for all LGBT, LGBT-friendly and well-wishing nations to post hellos and messages of support, and to raise awareness of the LGBT population in the NS world.

The Wyysterian government sends its suuport in the form of a large float ridden by gorgeous dancers in rainbow coloured hot pants!

The Queendom of Analana sends a float full of careless gay university students of all genders, colours and clothing preferences dancing to 1980s Madonna hits.

The Republic of Kangarawa sends its support from TEP.

In celebration for the first NS Gay Pride Parade, and in celebration of the fabulous weather we've been getting lately here in Merric, we're happy to unveil our sponsored float reflecting the struggle those in the LBGT have faced - and continue to face - everyday. Each side of the float has a different depiction of an everyday scene: an gay teen living on the streets after beind kicked out of his house; a lesbian couple being turned down for an apartment application; a young gay man being beaten to death; a transgender woman being arrested outside a public restroom.

Adorning the top of the float as the centerpiece is an assortment of people, all different colors, genders, and ages, symbolically holding hands with broken chains around their wrists.

Yeah, we know, very sappy. But if you find it too somber, just enjoy some of those Wyysterian dancers in the float behind us!

Umm.. what is all of this gay pride stuff? can't we just do what we do and not have parades? i don't want a hetero pride parade.
It's like: "Hi, im special because i like dicks and not pussies, therefore i am colorful today and dancing, oh yayyy".

Absolutely nothing against homosexuality, I just think its unnecessary to be all overly enthusiastic over something that only has to do with what kind of body you find sexy.

The dancing students from the Queendom of Analana ignore those who don't appreciate the parade and cheer as "Material Girl" starts playing on the float.

Gay Pride is not about bodies or sex or getting naked (although those are sometimes added perks). Nobody can hear Imperial Coronado as the Tragic Kingdom of Gwenstefani's float passes by, featuring Queen Gwen herself, belting out a song she wrote especially for the occasion.

Altanar sends a float as well, created by the nation's Indigenous and Minorities Party (IMP), with the support of the Altanari government. The float celebrates diversity in all its forms, in keeping with Altanar's traditionally tolerant and progressive stance.

The KFC attacks generally were placed against capitalist figureheads, but this spawn of capitalist society must not be allowed to continue. The attack was planned, all it need was a permission passed by the big boss.

If by "attack" you either mean "hand out for free" or "sell", and by "KFC" you mean "delicious fried chicken-tasting food", then... yes! We'd love to have some vendors at our Parade.

Hello Everyone!!!

We have arrived! We apologise for being a little late, but we got caught in traffic on the way here. It seems the roads towards the NS-bigboards are not built for transporting floats that consist of the depiction of a beautiful peaceful lake, with little pink dragons and lots of gorgeous men frollicking.

However, we finally made it, and our mobile beach resort can join the party! I hope my frollicking frisky freedom-lovers do not disturb anyone...

And of course there will be a Cittanuovan delegation going to the obligatory debates etc on "30 years of fighting for freedom. What have we achieved?" and "Lesbian coconut painting: a workshop"

In a spectacular display, the sky is filled with dragons of many different colors, all hailing from the Draconic Empire of Cromotar, performing amazing aero-acrobatic maneuvers.

Jaffa Gays is proud to walk alongside our Gay brothers and yes our funny little lesbian friends too. Proud not of who we sleep with (but I do love you Cuddles) but more of our ability to stand up and be counted.

The Jaffa Gays float is a muted affair - designed by International Style Guru Tom Ford, the black float features a single pink rose delicately positioned on a cushion of softest chincilla fur. Subtle no?

OOC: C'mon, KFC is the coolest terrorist group. I like to attack everything, and with KFC, the attacks cannot be linked to my nation.

A small crowd of Durkons begin booing, hissing, and throwing overripe tomatos at the parade.

Greetings from Buffeytown. Sorry we are a little late. There was such a fight for the mirrors. Anyhoo we've made it. Behold our float. We have the 10 finalists of the Buffy - looky-likey competition. (Sarah Michelle Gellar is the one currently in 4th place).

We have a large display of pictures of Angel - all shirtless of course, and then on top of a huge giant marshmallow centrepiece - all bow down to Willow - flanked by Tara and newcomer Kennedy. (The fact that those 2 are in chains is not a bondage thing. It's to stop them fighting. Again.

All of the above are hurling gooide bags into the crowd containing the magical Buffeytown "think of a topping and it's yours" pizza and brightly coloured alcoholic drinks that actually make your head feel better the more you consume. Party-on dudes.

While the float of Citta Nuova drives down the main street, the cittanuovan men start dancing around. However, it seems they are waiting for something... They are not quite focused on Dana International's Diva. And everybody knows that if Dana's music does not do the trick, something must be up.

Wait, what is that? Across the horizon, a helicopter of the Citta Nuova Airforce is approaching the parade. Other parade-goers turn to watch and soon the parade comes to a practical standstill.

The helicopter continues to fly towards the Parade and once it reaches it, it becomes stationary and the doors open:

Rose petals blind the crowd, while they are coming out by the thousands, no millions!!!! Once all the rose petals have come down, it finally becomes obvious what or who is being transported towards the Parade.


It's.... it's.... OH MY GOD!!!! It is DANA INTERNATIONAL herself!!!! She bursts out in song immediately before even landing and it turns out that the helicopter is equipped with the biggest speakers seen by men and lesbians alike!!!

Well hell I guess its as good a time as any.

A very large and densely crowded float from the obscure Royaume of Querinos appears on mainstreet. It is escorted on all side by the incredibly dashing Querinos Royal Guard; clad in their exotic uniforms. The float is many tiered, brightly colored, and loud fast paced beats emanating from it. Up high on the last tier sits Roi Hephaestion Cururipur with both of his espoux, and with three of his sons; the royal family continuously wave their hearts out under the flag of Querinos, while other toss flavour berries.






OOC: Querinos is made up almost entirely of gay men, and any act or threat of violence will be perceived as an action of war

Two floats from Kelssek float by, one from the Kirkenes Pride Association, where much waving, kissing and general frolicking is taking place, and the other a much more sober group representing the Alliance of Conservative Homosexuals, who are enjoying the parade but nonetheless seem slightly uncomfortable.

See, this is what the parade is about. Both raging fags and conservative "alternative lifestyle"-representatives are welcome!

One of the great things about the Gay Society: significantly more tolerant than most other societies...

Those from the Tasman Pride Association dancing behind the floats in the parade signal to their families and friends who are there to support them to begin passing out water bottles to anyone who might be in need of one.

Unfortunatly due to international transportation issues we were not able to send a contingent of brightly coloured, hot pant wearing, angel winged male models, football players and firemen. Maybe next time :p
