all hail Theede.

ATTN Leaders of Theede

Your declaration is a foolish one that the Empire of Okielahoma cannot and will not stand for. We cannot stand aside and allow you to "ingolf" the free nations of the world, no matter they be UN or not. You will not threaten or scare us with the threat of allies. You posess no allies greater than ours and we shall dispose of you as we see fit. The world shall be a safer place once we have removed the ticking time bomb known as Theede from its face. Oppose us and face total obliteration. Invade us and be smited. We will occupy your tiny nation until it has developed sufficient to our wishes. You have our ultimatum: Stand Down in the next 24 hours and apologize to the world, or face certain obliteration. Do this and many of your citizen's lives will be saved. As we speak the Okiean army mobilizes. A primary strike force of 200,000 is sailing out as we speak with logistical help from our protectorate of Questers. You must stand down or be destroyed.

So Theede beleives it may declare war on the entire world by itself General? Is that what I am hearing?
Yessir Mr. Emperor. This is the just of what they are saying.
And our response shall be?
Well sir we beleive that Theede may be a threat to some of our smaller allies. We are taking immediate action.
Good. Maybe it is time Theede learns the reprocussions of such actions. Declaring war on the world isn't something for a nation of 6 million to do. No sir not at all.
We have a task force of 200,000 leaving ports now, with logistical help from the Crown of course.
Incredible General. How have you mobilized such a large force so quickly?
That is interesting General. We had a massive war game planned for the next several months and we had naval, air and land forces all deployed. This force is now setting out for real war.
Very good General. I assume I will speak to you tomorrow near this time?
Yessir. Good day to you sir.

Once upon a time, in a world of antiquity...

In another reality armies were waging wars of conquest. While the Japanese attack the beaches of Corregidor, the nation of Theede put forth an ultimatum to the world at large...'Submit to us or be engulfed in a struggle that you will ultimately lose.'

At this particular time in history Auman, a massive nation with fascist leanings, was at the peak of its military efficiency...a level of military power that would only be outdone by later governments nearly a thousand years later. Dozens of Aircraft Carriers formed the core of the Fleets military power. Millions of Shock Troopers, heavily indoctrinated in the warrior traditions formed by the thousands of generations before them. An Airforce of peerless aces who had proven themselves of the hundreds of air battles of the Great Conquest.

The Military Junta that controlled the post war monstrosity that was Auman was a cold, calculated, man by the name of Antone Qarlo. Lean, a short man by standards of the day, Antone was a veteran of the Conquests who had earned his position by being the only high ranking officer to survive an assassination attempt...a trend that would decide Aumanii politics for generations...

'...And grain production is still far below what we project is needed to get through the next winter.'

'You will get enough food, Bratislav.' said Qarlo with an air of superiority. He sat, arms folded, on a plush leather chair, clad in an immaculately white dress uniform. Governor Bratislav Cornileu suppressed a frown as he looked at his own ragged suit. The disparity in life styles was huge, especially on the recently conquered states.

'Overlord...' Cornileu dared to ask a candid question of Overlord Qarlo, '...When are things going to get better?'

Antone was looking over his recently manicured hands before answering in a big brother fashion 'When you start doing your job, Governor. It is your responsibility to improve on your own lands...Self Governance is your right, and not a place for the Aumanii to be involved. How will you get back on your feet if you keep taking from foreign coffeurs?'

'But...we haven't the money or the resources to repair the damage the Army caused during the war!' said Cornileu desperately.

Qarlo laughed and stood up, 'No Bratislav. The damage Social Democrats you Siberans put in charge are the ones who blew up your libraries and sunk your freighters by refusing to submit to a proper authority.'

'You repair our pipelines and oil refineries, but you man our energy industries with Aumanii workers, but you cannot dare put the funds into rebuilding anything that doesn't benefit your own economy...' spat the Siberan Governor hatefully.

'Oh Bratislav...I wish you didn't have to say that. Troopers!'

Suddenly, a gang of Black Uniformed Shock Troopers burst into Qarlo's office. 'Take him to the pit.' Qarlo ordered the men. Cornileu was seized roughly and was dragged kicking and screaming from the office.

Trooper Zeg Tiphmadt sat hunched over a communications console, both hands holding a pair of large earphones, tightly, to his head, he was trying to pick through a jumbling of signals he had detected...a blurb sounded interesting.

C'mon! You were there a god damned minute ago...

"We, the the nation of Theede declare war against the world. We will engulf the world with our enlightened ideals of goverment. You may think us terrible, but in time you will grow to accept and love the ways of Theed and our allies. Hail the Father. Hail the Government. Long live our glorious Fascism."

A black gloved hand came to rest on Trooper Tiphmadt's shoulder. 'And what do we have here?' croaked the voice of Captain Yerft, 'I can see your...attentiveness...' He added.

'Listen for yourself, it's on a continuous loop, Sir.' said Tiphmadt, offering his superior his headset.

The bald old man held an earpiece to his head and listened, fiddling with a few nobs on the console he soon eliminated the crackling static that grained on his hearing.

'Well. That sure is something.'
