12-03-2007, 22:27
The Swilatian Islands Theatre in Serelian, Swilatia was selected to be the place where the first where the first WorldVision Song Contest. Originally this was to be held in Vilvek, although it was decided that being the loud and overpopulated city it is, Vilvek is not exactly the best place to have a song contest.
The stage has a large display behind it, on which animations can be shown, as well two other ones, although they are thinner and tilted. Also, therelights below the stage, which can ge used to make the stage surface apper ass something else, or to simple shine some light
Just outside of The Swilatian Islands Theatre, banners saying "welcome to Swilatia" and "Welcome to WorldVision" in various languages were hanging all over the place. As people walked into the theatre, an announcer started speaking.
"Welcome to WorldVision, here in Serelian! To all of you here, and to all of you watching this on TV, I am glad you are here, as we set a sign against war, and hear the music of the world!"

I've always lived a lonely life
A life of joys and pains
A life of constant wondering
where no one else stays
[chorus]
I've been all around,
Wandering to and fro.
Never setting my swag down
for more than a moment
and now my heart cries out
for someplace and somone to call home.
I was 18, I sought my fortune
in the world around me
Seeking to just have some fun
but then I was all alone
[chorus]
I had fun, friends and parties
but they didn't satisfy
I kept grouping for something,
someone to rescue me.
[chorus]
but then the parties ended,
my friends and my fun left
All I am left with is nothing
Nothing for those dark nights
[chorus]
[bridge]
but now I have found someone
and someplace to call home
Someone to stand with me
and now whereever I go
I am never alone.
[chorus (modified)]
I've been all around,
Wandering to and fro.
Never setting my swag down
for more than a moment
and now my heart's satisfied
with the love of grand woman.
Charlie Daniels sang his song on the stage with a simple but haunting accoustic guitar. The emotion of the song evident in his eyes. There was no flashy effects, just very simple and sedate movements that emphasised the point of the words. Once he had finished a tear rolled down his eye. and he said "I love you, Rita." and then left the stage

Being the host country, Swilatia has many of its fans sitting in the theatre, Swilatian flags waving all over the place. Many more, who were not able to, or did not want buy tickets, are watching the event on TV. They have already heard one song, and are waiting to finally hear Swilata's song.
On the other side of the Stage, things are not exactly so happy. As you would think, Swilajskie Bandyty, the band representing Swilatia, are rather nervous, since this is the first time they will be perfomining one of their songs in an international contest. This is be a bad day for everything to go wrong, so Swilajskie Bandyty are hoping things will go well, although they know that cazy things like complaining to some god will not really make things go better.
The squadron marching band entered the stage, and prepared for the performance. It was a rough translation of the original but it really worked well. The loud bass drum began, followed by trumpets and the snares, and then the men sung, their rough deep Stratorian accents working well with the song.
Bullets and shrapnel litter the air
boldest of bold would not care
be the blood flowing through the veins
of the mighty naaaation
be the sword fighting hard for
Strators great salvaaation
(Chorus)
FIGHT! FIGHT-FIGHT!
live for Strator, die for Strator
FIGHT! FIGHT-FIGHT!
Good of the nation, good of the people
FIGHT! FIGHT-FIGHT!
Nothing shall stand in our waaaaaaay
Die fighting for a great cause
enforcing the good of Strators laws
be the shield protecting well
the innocent and weeeeeak
be the arrow flying from bow
going to the evil you seeeeek
(chorus)
on the battlefield rise victorious
the win makes this war historious
be the flag swaying in the breeze
a banner to bring greater hoooope
be the canteen refreshing souls
help those in need to coooope
(chorus)
When the last enemy has finaly fell
let all who oppose us go to hell
be the marching band in the street
the triumph of war reachs hoooome
be the conquerer of many lands
so people can anywhere rooooam
(chorus)
(chant)x 5
FIGHT FOR THE FATHER LAND!!!
the crowed enjoyed it and many cheers were heard. In lines of three they exited the stage in traditional marching form. They did good.
Zwangzug
13-03-2007, 21:09
Benny calmly took the stage and gazed into the audience, blinding glare blocking his view. He closed his eyes slowly, then reopened them and looked down into the microphone.
"Your heart is entwined with another
I don't want to usurp your love
But knowing that you're right beside me
I know that I can rise above
(Chorus)
Any challenge I face
Since with you it's a race
To the stars
And no passion could best
The skill at any test
Which is ours
I hope you see
You're life to me
I'd never consider disturbing
You, yet I appear to have done
So, since you smile when you see me
And that tells me that I've half won
(to chorus)
Spiraling skyward, never look back
I'm left defenseless, there's no attack
Shadow, reflection, glimpse or a blink
Our minds surge as one, you drive me to think
You're able to connect with others
But somehow, I'm still linked with you
And we've just begun, so I hope
You'll be next to me the way through
(to chorus)"

Swilatia WorldVision group meeting
Yes, we are here because of the song Strator submitted. It really goes against the whole philosophy of the contest.
Why? I can say it does not sound good, as much of the audience would say, but why does it go against the contest?
Look at the lyrics of the song. Much of the song is pro-war, especially the last verse.
Why did you let Strator in?
Well, we thought they would enter a different song. Something that does not glorify war, and say that a particular nation is better then all others. I agree, we should not have let them in
So what do we do about this? Disqualify them?
Exactly.
I wish we could, although this would require support from other participating nations, we don't have a moment to lose, so let's get started on this!
Well, Swilatia's song will be on soon. We will start the campaign after we hear Swilatia's song.
Fine.
Ok time to Lovisan song - Hi Fi superstar.
our representant "Wet Fingers" present a clip.

Swilajskie bandyty, the band representing Swilatia, then took the stage, fires started burning on the screens behind them, red lights coming from below the stage. It looked almost like as if the apolacalypse was going to start right on the stage. And then the song started.
Saranisko wszedł
bo nikt nie podał głosu
Teraz cała Swilasja
wpada do chaosu
Nic nie pomogą następne wybory
(Translation: Saranisko walked in because no-one voted, now all Swilatia is falling into chaos. Another election will not help)
(Chorus)
Bo to Koniec Świata
Popatrz na zewnątrz
I zobacz że to prawda
Ale dlaczego to musi być prawdą
Dlaczego nie możemy
jeszcze trochę pożyć
(Translation: Because it is the end of the world, Look oustside, and see that this is true, but why must this be true, why can't we still live for some time)
Wojny wszędzie w świecie
I ataki terroryzmu
Teraz tylko w jednym dniu
giną tysiące ludzi
Niedługo już nie zostanie niczego
(Translation: Wars everywhere in the world, and terrorysm attacks. Now in just one day we lose thousands of people, soon there will be nothing left)
(chorus)
Za każdy samochód
mamy gorszę powietrze
Teraz w niektórych miast
Nie można oddychać
I tez z tego robi się gorąco
(Translation: For every car, our air gets worse, Now in some cities you cannot breathe, and it is geeting hot from this)
(chorus)
To jest koniec świata
Niestety to koniec świata
(Translatio: It's the end of the world, yes unfortunately it's the end of the world)

Brutland and Norden

(OOC: Formatted for readability: Italics ~ actions onstage; Bold ~ Song lyrics [that is what they are singing]; Small font ~ English Translation. The song is in Nord-Brutlandese... and for clarity, my characters: Adriana is a female, Kail is a male.
Enjoy :) )
Slow, sad flute enters.
Spotlights on, and band members except Kail are onstage. Adriana is lying down on a bed in the middle of the stage, with her feet towards the audience. The bassist and guitarist flank her on both sides. The drums are behind the headboard of the bed, behind Adriana. Slowly, the big-bellied Adriana rouses herself off the bed while starting to sing her lines:
Adriana: (melancholic and slow)
Tenebre at la sbatte di mattiore
Gloom at the morning's start
Feltreco la nune e la sempiore
Feeling the loneliness and the sadness
Carforeco ái caggio, cruteco ái mente
Piercing my heart, killing my mind
Percateco ái anime, lameco ai rente
Penetrating my soul, devouring me whole
Ci díe pasecía es a sempre di dispare
Another passing day is a forever of despair
Spotlight onstage slightly fades.
Bass enter. Flute stops. Guitar enter.
Another spotlight focuses above the audience.
Kail is suspended/levitated above the audience and sings his lines:
Kail: (sad and guilty)
Sgreco che la firmamento di la stellu
Looking from the firmament of the stars
Amezzo la lorice di la angèlu
Amidst the glory of the angels
La calore di can corpo, la sono di can vose
The warmth of your body, the sound of your voice
La forte di can amore, la toce di can pose
The strength of your love, the touch of your skin
Tanece piú ai... desantifidazione
Haunts me still... unsatisfied
Drums enter.
Kail and Adriana:
Sgrece croscal la c'hiasmo sadia
Look across the wide chasm
La divide manna sparrateco jio
The great divide separating us
Ai sentece ái amore e dolore... e
I send out my love and pain... and
Fuche pas Destine por bracheco jio
F*ck this Fate for breaking us up
Fuche la Clametto por tutto ca docce
F*ck the Claimer for what He did
Non ai succuberecha o ai docha oltrizio?
But will I succumb, or will I do something?
Drums cease.
Adriana stands onstage, as blood runs down her legs and pools beneath her feet.
Adriana: (pained)
Scien ai oevolgagnece in pas valle di ombre
Why should I wallow in this valley of grief
Chion ai oacroscece la c'hiasmo son unà colpre?
When I can cross this chasm with one blow
Ai oalentece iessal pas mondo di scorre
I can easily leave this world of sorrow
E sonecho son io riesco in passo storre
And be with you again in that place
Drums enter again as Adriana moves towards the bed and lays herself on it. Spotlight onstage slowly fades.
Kail: (encouraging)
Bence ai sognece io in ái brasu, ái amoresso
Though I want you in my arms, my love
Ai do della sece io succubereche e ti la truscosso
I do not want you to succumb and be tricked
Ti sporcoleta, ti forta, e ti brava
Be steadfast, be strong, and be brave
Solo jai sonecho riesco, non por nova...
Soon we will be together again, but for now...
Drums enter again, but there is no spotlight onstage.
Kail and Adriana:
Sgrece croscal la c'hiasmo sadia
Look across the wide chasm
La divide manna sparrateco jio
The great divide separating us
Ai sentece ái amore e dolore... e
I send out my love and pain... and
Fuche pas Destine por bracheco jio
F*ck this Fate for breaking us up
Fuche la Clametto por tutto ca docce
F*ck the Claimer for what He did
Do della succuberece, do oltrizio
Do not succumb, do something
Instrumentals. Still no spotlight on stage, but with a flurry of activity. Audience guessing the events onstage.
Kail tries to reach the stage but he couldn't. He holds out his arms as if trying to reach Adriana:
Kail: (doleful)
Lasce la reino versca ciarece ío ombre
Let the pouring rain share your grief
Lasce la torrento cavatece ío dolore
Let the flood wash away your pain
Lasce la barcoleno brece io relve
Let the rainbow give you relief
Lasce l'anemome sardece pas messaje
Let the wind carry this message
Con io della nunecho animasse
That you will never alone anymore
(growl)
Nove
Now
Kail and Adriana:
Sgrece croscal la c'hiasmo sadia
Look across the wide chasm
La divide manna sparrateco jio
The great divide separating us
Ai sentece ái amore e dolore... e
I send out my love and pain... and
Certece ío caggio por tutto jio ciarecci
Search your heart for what we had shared
Screce por la signo con io e ai innecci
Look for the sign that you and I had known
Al io della succubereche e io doche oltrizio
Then you won't succumb and you'll do something
Instrumentals.
As the instrumentals end, the spotlight onstage returns. Adriana is lying down on the bed, holding up a newborn baby boy. The infant thrashes and cries loud.
Adriana: (relieved and joyful)
Ma gecce tiche ibbene
It's gonna be alright
Ai ojeco la signo...
I am seeing the sign
(OOC: What happened onstage? Spoiler: She gave birth onstage! <-- Highlight this.)

"Did what I think happened happen?"
"If you thinking someone gave birth on stage, then probably yes, Glad they didn't show it though."
Two Bazalonians were watching the WorldVision tournament in the lounge room of their home. A third walked in to the room,
"hey, you know I hear that the Swilatians are actually quite upset with the Stator for their performance."
"Oh, yeah singing to go fight and die for Stator, a real good song for an international song contest." said one of the Bazalonians in the room with Sarcasm
"Whatever happens, I'm not voting for it."
Meanwhile in a room somewhere else, Bazalonian delegation had a meeting...
"What are we going to do about that Stator song?"
"Gahhh!!! Bug, Bug, Bug. EEEEEK!"
"Oh stop it you big girls blouse. I'll Get it for you." *SLAP*

Edward City
14-03-2007, 11:17
Edward & the Zombies, the group representing Edward City at the first Worldvision Song Contest took the stage, looked at the public and Edward Hört (band's leader) said: This song is a tribute to the people who died two months ago at the Edward City Zombie Outbreak (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Edward_City_2025_Zombie_Outbreak)
Lifes gone
within a mushroom cloud
Lifes gone
within a zombie's bite
You feel
you die
You feel
you die
Don't worry,
you're not dead yet
You feel
you die
You feel
you die
within a mushroom cloud
You feel
you die
You feel
you die
within a zombie's bite
Lifes gone...
You gave
your life
to save
your friends...
From the zombie's bite
You feel
you die
You feel
you die...
Thank you everybody!!!!, said Edward while leaving the stage.

The meeting, continued
So, what are our plans to get Strator disqualified?
Well, I've heard the bazalonians also think this contest is a bad place for it...
Okay, but one is not enough, we need more support? what are our plans to get it?
Well, when we find time to get on the... (gets cut off)
SHUT UP!
Do you not realise that we are in the middle of a very important meeting?
Do you not realise some-one's watching this? It must be Strator.
Well, If you are so sure about it, who don't you go and take care of it yourself.
It is nice weather we are having here in Serelian. I wish it was this good in the

To Switalia:
I have enjoyed seeing my squadron play, I have thought of maybe signing up every year, I feel it would help strengthen our nations political ties, do you not?
*cuts off*
Strator turns to his manager of operations for this event
"have the decoy spy get the attention of the judges and then prepare the other distractions for us to perhaps, change the outcome of this little contest towards our favor"
"Yes sir!"

The two men sitting in the small room were watching the t.v. screen. Both wore a pair of oversized head phones. One was fairly short, with sandy brown hair and was keeping his hands on the control monitors as he adjusted the feed and switched between camera angles.
The door to the dark lit trailer opened and a young blond in a grey suit entered. In one hand she held a tray with three containers of coffee and some local baked goods of questionable taste.
She put the tray down and looked over the shoulder of the man watching the screen. She tapped his shoulder. He smiled at her hand handed her a clipboard with notes.
"Here you go boss...my notes on what we have gotten."
The blond sat down and read quickly down the sheet.
"Alright so Charile Danials did an acoustic peice...I hope we got some close up shots of him in that..." She looked up with her questioning brown eyes.
"Yeah, he was easy really...keep reading" The black haired man turned back to watch the contest some more, the headphones slightly shifted.
"Strator did a nice military marching number apparently...I thought we'd be getting peace songs at this...."
"Yeah, me too...wish it were later in the program actually would likely go over better the third or fourth song in rebroadcast..."
"Another love song...then this pop ditty? I'm going to have to replay that..."
"Just keep going..."
"Wait...what is this note...Depressing end of the world..."
"Our hosts decided to tell us it was all over...war terrorism...it is the end of it all..."
"Heavy Techno Depresso...Swilatia Epresso..." the blond rymes for a moment.
"Huh...do they think I'm going to start pissing off corprate with this stuff? I hope they realize I"m going to demand a price cut in royalties for this crap...a live friken birth on stage...who do they think they are...Singers gone Wild? Some pissant reality T.V. show...Who Wants to Gross Us Out?"
She looked up at the screen..."what the...hell 'you feel you die?' could we get any more depressing!"
The door opened again and a young man in thick glasses looked in "Hey some of the countries are trying to kick Stator out of the competition Mrs. Blackstone."
"Well that's some good news...a bit of backscene drama to counteract the horrors of the actual songs." She stated as she stood to return the clipboard.
"Alright, Tommy see if you can line up some interviews with the judges about Strator's little contribution to this train wreak."
"Elliot, get me a line to whoever is running this disaster, we are going to have to try and get some...more happy songs on this thing or we might as well just can this thing. This is worse than Kazhikstan Idol with Borat, and half those contestants were donkeys!"

Um... what do you mean by "the judges"? every nation submits separate scores, and then it adds up to determine who wins.

"FULL TRUTH" by Arthur Ohlendorf & the Father Mulcahey Singers
The saints are crippled
On this sinners' night
Lost are the lambs
with no guiding light
The walls come down like thunder
The rocks about to roll
It's The FULL TRUTH
Now bare your soul
All we need is lightning
With power and might
Striking down the prophets of false
As the moon is rising
Give us the sign
Now let us rise up in awe
Rock 'n roll angels bring thyn FULL TRUTH hallelujah
Demons and angels all in one have arrived
Rock 'n roll angels bring thyn FULL TRUTH hallelujah
In God's creation supernatural high

OOC: did you sign up?
also, even if you did, i'm sure you could do better then blatantly rip off hard rock hallelujah.
IC: Everyone was shocked after hearing that song, and the theatre was silent. Later, though, the security walked onto the stage. They shouted "We have some-one breaking onto the stage!', and then then they were pulled off the stage, and out of the theatre. Then in was heard "So, since that song waqs not really entered, you will not be able to vote on it".
Bostopia
15-03-2007, 01:29
And next up is the Bostopian entry, from our very own Heads of State, which beat a song decicated to Dr.Vlad by some margin.
The lights on the stage go out, leaving the crowd only to cheer in anticipation of the next event...
PHWOOM! Green and gold pyros - the Royal Colours of Bostopia - shoot up into the air, and a geesemonkey runs onto the stage and then up a tree, being chased by the Emperor and Empress, who stop midstage, turn to face the audience, and a ditzy pop themed music starts playing
[Emperor]I was chasing through the forests, looking for my Empress one day (he was looking for me) When what caught my eye, to my surprise, t'was a Geesemonkey, upon that day! I went and chased it, but it climbed away into a tree (pelted him with twigs) And then it started, in the tree, dancing along to the shoutings of me!
[b]CRAZY GEESEMONKEY! Dancing up, dancing up, dancing up, dancing up the tree!
CRAZY GEESEMONKEY! Dancing up, dancing up, dancing up, dancing up the tree!
[Empress]I found my Emperor, by the tree, shouting and screaming, but with glee, I looked up skyward, and what'd I find, a crazy Geesemonkey, dancing in time, I was confused yes, didn't know what to do, but then I started screaming, til I went blue!
CRAZY GEESEMONKEY! Dancing up, dancing up, dancing up, dancing up the tree!
CRAZY GEESEMONKEY! Dancing up, dancing up, dancing up, dancing up the tree!
Upon this, the Emperor and Empress noticed the Geesemonkey had come down from the tree, and chased it offstage.
The arena erupted into a frenzy of cheers, with Bostopian flags being waved left, right and centre.
Alexandrian Ptolemais
15-03-2007, 04:36
Simon Windsor walked up onto the stage, appropriately dressed as an Empire Railways Guard
I'm an ordinary joker, shoving up and down the line,
Stuck in this bloody carriage of mine.
Shoving up from Alexandria and down to Ptolemais,
Even though my heart is in Wakefield on this damn line.
Wakefield, Wakefield, Wakefield half way on the line,
Up and down I go, to Wakefield on the line.
Arriving there in midnight is marvellous,
Especially with coal cinders in your mouth.
The food is brilliant and the drinks are to,
Don't forget the shielas, they'll give you a great time to.
Wakefield, Wakefield, Wakefield half way on the line,
Up and down I go, to Wakefield on the line.
You may be better off heading north or even heading south,
There's no chance for you in this hell hole in the middle.
Of course, there are always the shiela's to keep you company,
But I only have a minute till I blow the bloody whistle again.
Wakefield, Wakefield, Wakefield half way on the line,
Up and down I go, to Wakefield on the line.
I have been a guard for twenty years in this man's rail,
I have seen many sights over the years.
Nothing gets my heart betting more,
Than seeing a shiela at Wakefield on the line.
Wakefield, Wakefield, Wakefield half way on the line,
Up and down I go, to Wakefield on the line.
This ordinary joker may be shoving up and down the line,
Stuck on the Limited Express of mine
But my heart will be on Wakefield
On this bloody worthless line
Wakefield, Wakefield, Wakefield half way on the line,
Up and down I go, to Wakefield on the line.
Wakefield, Wakefield, Wakefield half way on the line,
Up and down I go, to Wakefield on the line.
The audience cheered and the five stars were flying proudly, from everyone within the venue

"Hmmm, this performance has been very interesting."
"What do you mean Tom?"
"Well, we have that woman from, what country was it again?"
"Brutland and Norden."
"Don't you answer that again; you hear me. Anyways, she gave birth on stage, I found it quite funny, maybe that deserves a high score. Then, there was that militaristic number from...what was that bloody country's name again?"
"Strator."
"How many bloody times must I say don't answer me. Anyway, I like the whole number, even if it is war like. Maybe a bit of Wagner was needed. Anyways, I heard they got a lovely little slave trade, perhaps an attractive slave or two would convince me to give them some more points."
"Tom, you know that if anyone found out about this, you would be thrown out."
"But, they will not find out now, will they? will they?"
"Of course.
"Then the have been all those useless love songs, and that idiotic number from, what was that country that had the election song.
"You mean.."
"Shut up, I know this and you are not supposed to. As I was saying, the country was."
"Swilatia"
"How many times..."
"Sorry."
"Anyways, why should I be made to feel bad because other countries don't know how to be democratic. If the Empire can ensure that I can vote for the Nats every four years, then certainly other countries should. Then of course going on and bloody on about how screwed we are. We are not screwed, maybe Swilatia needs to use some rope to stop their problems. Then there was that bloody song about zombies from..."
"Edward City."
"SHUT UP YOU IDIOT."
"Ok."
"Anyways, I do not care whether or not twenty thousand got sucked up into some mushroom cloud, they need halfway decent anti-aircraft guns."
"Then there was that priest that suddenly appeared without permission. Father Mulcahy I believe."
"Yes"
"Anyways, he should just stick to doing television comedy and get out of showbiz. They stole songs and even then they sounded awful. He really needs singing lessons, or better yet, lessons in how to be a Protestant. Ah well, our one is the best, and it is true; all the people down Windsor way are whores and sluts, and it is a pity that the guards vans are full of bodies everytime, nice place, just the wrong people."

"So there are no judges???"
"No ma'm apparently the nations that participate score and somehow...the votes are tallied and highest score wins..."
"So it is going to be a political f*** up?"
"Yes, Ma'm"
"Alright, well that last song about the monkey was..."
"Childish?"
"Yup...nothing like having royalty do a ditty about a greenmonkey"
"Geesemonkey..."
"Huh?"
"It was a Geesemonkey..."
Blackstone shook her head..."Green...Geese...who cares..."
She looked at the youngster again..."See if you can wrangle that priest in here...the one who just strolled on stage and bleated out a song apparently..."
"I'm not sure...the Corruptibles showed up with their lawyers a moment ago..."
"Dead priest walking...Who is this fellow?"
"Simon Windsor..."
"Well at least he can sing..."

Skag and Boz were chatting backstage before the band went out to perform.
"I can't believe we got away with it..."
"Well, we're here now...let's have some fun..."
***
The set was grey. Grey lights, corrugated steel, and the foursome went on stage in grey torn shirts. One on drums, one on bass, one on guitar, one on some weird sort of electronic trickery.
Then Wendy X came on, pouting, blonde, scarcely dressed. And the music started.
Pounding, repetitive beat. One chord guitar. One note bass. Electronic distortion and Wendy started yelling.
"Is the telly on?
Is the telly on?
Put the telly on
Put the telly on
We are Oblivion
We are Oblivion
The power is on
The power is onnnn!!!!!
This is it
This is it
Kommen sie mit
Wentland is s**t!
Wentland is s**t!
Wentland is s**t!
And this is it!
You wanted a war
You and your whore
You wanted a war
And this is your war
The same as before
It's all just a boooooore
It's time for the war
Can't take any more!
Wentland is s**t!
Wentland is s**t!
You're full of it!
Wentland is s**t!"
As Wendy repeated the chorus ad infinitum with her voice turned up to eleven, the band stopped playing and started hurling the set around. Occasionally applying the sheet metal to the instruments.
Wendy finished off the cacophony by taking some red paint and pouring it over her head whilst still yelling "Wentland is s**t!"
As the performance died amidst the chaos, the audience stared, spellbound as the band brawled amongst themselves to offstage. Wendy and Skint off the front, the others off the back.
"Well, that was the Wentland entry...I assume..."

This is an
SBC News Alert!
Jawalski: So, here we are at this whole "WorldVision song contest thing. Now what I am wondering now is how far we are throuh the songs.
Wiadzase: Only Rejistania, Ironwell, Fattyboland, Skgorria, and Every Citizen is a Man still have to present their songs, which means 5 songs to go, and then we have the voting.
Jawalski: Good! I'm glad this will end soon, not because I want to see who wins or anything, but because most of these songs suck, and I'm sure next 5 songs will as well. I can even admit our contribution to this pathetic excuse for a song contest. It's telling us that the world will end soon, even though we know it won't. Seriously, another election will help, because a Swilatian president can only serve 3 terms, consecutive or not. This is Saranisko's 3rd term.
Wiadzase: Sure, that ssong was terrible, but do you remember the useless love songs? That pop song, Hi fi superstar, which just kept repeating the same line? Or do you remember when some lady gave birth on stage as part of her song's act? And the whole depressing "you feel you die" song? Oh, and when F1 insanty just took the stage even though they did not enter, and sang a disgraceful rip off of the great song that is "Hard Rock Hallelujah"?
Jawalski, yes, I know that Swilatia's song is not really the worst, although I do hate that song the most because they are disgracing the nation of Swilatia in front of people from all over the world. Have you noticed what other countries are saying about our song? they are saying it sucks, and they are right. I'm glad a nation's scores for it's own song are fixed at zero, because thats the score it deserves.
Wiadzase: Come on. The songs from Lovisa and Edward City are much worse then this. Edward City's song is much more stupid and depressing, and I just can't fall in love with a song that repeats the same line over and over again.
Jawalski: Okay, fine, Edward City is the worst, then Lovisa's song is slightly better, and then there's our song, still as one of the songs that deserve a 0. However, I would like to know about those songs you did not tell me anything about.
Wiadzase: Well, fine. We had this rather childish act from bostopia, whiched inolved a monkey... er... geesemonkey. Also, we had this song from wentland, which was only entered into Wentlans's national contest as a joke, yet ended up making its way here into WorldVision. No, it's not that good. Finally, we have some millitary march from Strator, although WorldVision group has started a campaign to disqualify it.
Jawalski: Okay, that idea of disqualifying it is ridiculous, even though the song is terrible, and not the right thing for this contest. Why can't we just score it low?
Wiadzase: That's why it has just gotten of the ground not too long ago, and it has only 4 nations supporting it, which is very short of the required 10.

So, how's it going with the disqualification effort?
Well, we have the support of Bazalonia, and with their help, Rejistania and Bostopia
So, we have 4 in favour. Good that this is actually going somewhere, but we are still short of a 66% majority.
Well, maybe we should confront other countries with this ourselves. If there are 2 groups doing this, it will be done in time for them to not be scored.
Very well. So, where do we start.
We start by securing the area.
Why?
I'm betting that Strator is trying to bug us again
Okay, you go take care of it.
So, the contest is almost

"I can tell you now, they were both absolute shite; what was that country with that grassmonkey?"
"You mean."
"OH SHUT THE HELL UP."
"Alright, but for your information.."
"Another peep from you and your job opportunity with Channel Five is gone."
"Yes."
"Anyways, how can an Emperor and Empress do that, have a stupid song about a stupid grassmonkey. I don't think that His Majesty will subject himself to complete and utter humiliation now, would he?"
"Nope, Tom, and by the way..."
"Here we go again..."
"It was a geesemonkey from Bostopia"
"Geesemonkey, now tell me what the hell a geesemonkey is...geesemonkey...geesemonkey, all I see in my encyclopaedia is geese and that is it."
"Well, then how about the performance from Wentland?"
"All I can say is that Wentland is shit, and that my ears are ringing from that loud performance. I just hope that the next lot of performers are better, or else, I will have a tough decision; they have all been crap."
"By the way Tom, we got this message from Bazalonia."
"Interesting, I'll consider agreeing to support the attempt to ban Strator if the next lot of songs are not crap. Don't reply just yet because we have to see what is happening."

So, what are you here for?
Well, it's been like so much time withoout any songs, so I decided to wait here for the last 5, and to think of which of the last ten would actually deserve my vote, although I might give one to the last 5 insted, because the songs so far were not that good.
a vote?
Yes. It has been decided by WorldVision Group Swilatia, that the points being given out by Swilatia will be based on the results of a poll, with the most chosen option getting 12, second most 10, and then so on with 8-1.
Oh. Seems like something the nation will be divided on, since well, we havent really had anything that stands out as a good song yet. I would personally just abstain.
Well, we still have those last few songs. Not too sure if we can tell much from the titles though, and thats all we know right now.
Well, Melt the Ice Princess's Heart, sound like some crazy love song or something, but that's all. After all, these title are just so cryptic, and one of them is even in Rejistanian or something like that.
Well, I said we can't tell much from their titles, but I've heard the next song will be soon. We should go back in.

The Fattyboland WorldVision Organising Council (FBWVOC) would like to make the following announcement.
Due to a recent amount of backlash from the Fattybolander population about the winner of the Nationals, claiming she was a fraud and only got in for her connections with FBBC as their prime time weather girl it was discovered that although this may be true a more important discovery was made. SHE CANT SING TO SAVE HER LIFE.
For this reason the FBWVOC has held an emergancy meeting. The conclusion of this meeting was to recruit an upcoming music star from another nation to represent Fattyboland in Swilatia, as Fattyboland is to far away for the runner up to be sent in time, well too far away for a boat that is, Fattyboland has no airport facilities.
The New representative for Fattyboland will be Ha U Sun from Korea (south). We have been told she has been practising on the plane and will be ready to perform almost instantly when she touches down in Swilatia in a couple of hours. From all of us at the FBWVOC we would like to thank the audience and the organises of WorldVision for their patience and understanding.

Ha U-sun, a.k.a. Ha So-yeon, was formerly an actress specializing in erotic movies. The 23-year-old newcomer in the local pop music scene joined the ranks of female singers who pursue the so-called “sexy music.” The title song, “Question,” of Ha U-sun’s first album is a number in which she advocates her sensual image.
Ha U Sun touched down in Swilatia very early this morning after a long Air Korea flight from Seoul, in economy we might add. Despite all this drama she has managed to practise her entry and is fully prepared in every aspect. So now taking the stage here at the WorldVision 1 Finals in Swilatia is the Fattyboland entry Ha U Sun with her song Question (Please note it is in Korean)

Wiadzase: Why do you say that one's bad as well. I don't kow what to say for it, as I have not heard it yet, but who's gonna get the 12 points?
Jawalski: Look, if you have not heard it, you should be happy. You are one of the lucky ones. It's another pop song, and It's much worse then Hi Fi Superstar. Seriously, I have no idea what the lyrics are supposed to mean, and the song isn't even Fattybolandic, or whatever their national adjective is. It's korean.
Wiadzase: So you are saying fattyboland submitted a song from another country? Wait until WorldVision group hears about that! We'll be having another disqualification campaign.
Jawalski: So? The strator one is not going well, as the scoring is almost here, and support is only 5 nations. This means that they won't have any chance with disqualifying Fattyboland. Also, we can't just have them disqualifying whatever they want, or there will be no songs left.

The FBWVOC stands by its actions of recruiting talent from offshore in light of our national finals being corrupted by our national television broadcasting agency, FBBC. We are not aware of any place that states that nations cannot recruit talent from offshore to represent their country at the WorldVision Song Contest. Another thing that isnt stated is that songs should preferably be in english or the native language. Just because Korean is not a main language for the global community, so it may come across like jibber-jab for many non korean speaking countries, it is a language none the less. Yes, Fattyboland doesnt recognise Korean as a main language but Fattyboland has a large Korean population and it is spoken and used frequently in certain regions. The FBWVOC and the citizens of Fattyboland do not appreciate Swilatias commentry team of Wiadzase & Jawalski saying such things as "the song isn't even Fattybolandic, or whatever their national adjective is. It's korean." and Alexandrian Ptolemais's commentry team saying things like "I don't understand a bloody word of this crap, can't people speak in English in Fattyboland or something?". Yes people are free to their own opinion, but with the theme of the competition being peace and unity and having the eyes of the Nationstates world watching the competition the FBWVOC does not believe such things should be said about anyone.

OOC: Apologies all round, RL continues to bugger stuff up
IC:
A solitary man in a black suit walked onto the stage, a microphone in hand.
"Ladies and gentlemen," he announced, "Totalslava have been arrested for crimes against the State and as such cannot participate in this event. Our replacement is the Schutzstaffel's Marching Band and Choir, the most talented musicians in all of Skgorria!" He waved his arm and a column of uniformed soldiers marched on in their best dress uniforms. Their boots were polished, their helmets straight and their swastika armbands freshly pressed. As soon as the suited figure had left the stage, the soldiers formed themselves smartly into two ranks - musicians at the back, singers at the front. A large swastika unfurled itself behind them on the stage, clear for all to see, a flute began to play and the song was begun. (Song based on this with lyric changes - http://eri.ca/refer/ademeinl.MP3 )
"Onwards, the Fist of Righteousness,
Onwards! Onwards! Onwards!
We’ll crush all who stand before us now,
Onwards! Onwards! Onwards!
We fight for Ultimate Gloria
Gloria, Gloria,
Sieg Heil! Sieg Heil Skgorria!
Sieg Heil Skgorria!
Horrific blows will be felt
Onwards! Onwards! Onwards!
By the Gypsy, Jew and Bolshevik,
Onwards! Onwards! Onwards!
We fight for Ultimate Gloria
Gloria, Gloria,
Sieg Heil! Sieg Heil Skgorria!
Sieg Heil Skgorria!
We continue our all-consuming fight
Onwards! Onwards! Onwards!
To cleanse the land of racial blight
Onwards! Onwards! Onwards!
We fight for Ultimate Gloria
Gloria, Gloria,
Sieg Heil! Sieg Heil Skgorria!

Onwards! Onwards! Onwards!
To be weak we know not how!
Onwards! Onwards! Onwards!
We fight for Ultimate Gloria
Gloria, Gloria,
Sieg Heil! Sieg Heil Skgorria!

The soldiers then did a right-turn and smartly marched off.
Bazalonia
20-03-2007, 10:34
In newspapers all over Bazalonia the Headline "Not Happy, Jan!" was the headline, no one knew who exactly Jan was nor why she was unhappy. A pundit of the show noted there has not even been a mention of this Jan in relation to the WorldVision however he was drowned out.
Suggestions was raised that it was because of the Stator entry in the WorldVision Song Contest, other suggestions were made that it was because the Fattyboland song was in Korean and no one understood it, perhaps it was an international incident over the Alexandrian Ptolmais commentry team, or the latest suggestion. Over the Skoggrian entry.
Oh, my, A Nazi-nation. Who's words contained the phrase "To cleanse the land of racial blight".
The song sent a shiver down the back of every Bazalonian that watched it, most turned away disgust. Either way, could this song be worse than the Stator entry? Yes, it was worse, it was not only a call to arms. But a call to arms to perform "racial cleansing". Something that horrified many Bazalonians and the Bazalonian delegation had already contacted the Swilatians about insitituting some sort of screening process for the next WorldVision. If this was ever going to Rival the Rejistanian NSVision the Swilatians would have to keep out entries like this and the Stator.
Either way, many Bazalonians already knew which nations they were not going to vote for.
OOC: I wonder if any non-Australian will ever get "not happy, Jan".. eh. oh well.

To whom it may concern,
I highly regret the comments of my boss with regards to your singer's choice of language when singing his song earlier today. He was under the impression that the back office was a secure place were he could freely express himself without any repercusions. His opinions in no way represents the Alexandrian Ptolemais WorldVision Organising Committee or even the Empire. However, he does accept that his opinions may have some influence.
The problem is that my boss has a slight problem when it comes to tolerating those of opinions other than that of himself. You have probably come across the other comments of my boss regarding the other competitors and I have come through much abuse over the last few days - every time I have attempted to name something that my boss did not know, I was referred to as an idiot, and told to keep quiet; that is just the way things were done when my boss began in the music industry about fifty years ago.
I do hope that this explains the actions of my boss. If you have further issue, then please reply and it will be discussed with promptly.

To whom it may concern,
The Alexandrian Ptolemais WorldVision Organising Committee is wondering whether our back offices have been bugged or some form of eavesdropping device placed in them. The private conversations of the Head of the APWVOC, Thomas Henderson, somehow got into the hands of the FBWVOC, creating quite an incident. As you would understand, if you heard the conversations, this is quite sensitive and the APWVOC would not want the personal opinions of its members expressed to the media.

Wow, I never knew this contest would be a such a failure.
Relax, it's only the first. I'm sure as we get more editions, it will improve.
Well, the real problem is we have another fascist song, this one is not even being cryptic with what it is trying to say. It openly supports "ethnic cleansing". This song needs to be disqualified.
You know, I would love to disqualify them, but disqualifying too many songs will mess up the contest structure, and it's not going too well with disqualifying the strator song. We're better of just telling people to score these songs low.
I guess the whole worldvision thing is doomed. We tried to have an excellent contest, but instead we got this shit.
Well, maybe this edition of the contest is doomed, but that does not mean the contest is doomed.
So we can save the next edition?
Yes. If we ban fascist countries like Strator and Skgorria from this competition, we will not be seeing any more of this stuff. Who here supports this?
Everyone: I do!
Well, we haven't got a moment to lose! we need to get more nations support this.
That won't be too hard, people from other nations have already been suggesting such things.
Fascist, My country is not fascist, it is Stratorist, my own type of government based upon the ultimate state of Totalitarianism, it is a form of a "I do not give a shit about all you stupid people so long as you do not rebel" government, but not fascist, I am not willing to support the ideals of a man named Bernito, it sounds so stupid
Strator watched the Skgorrian performance on a giant battery powered flatscreen which his troopers carried in front of him as he walked
"Hmmm, This country, I like it, it takes balls to do something like that"
He turned to his second in command
"I want a meeting with whoever rules Skgorria as soon as this conference is over"
He looked at the two men carrying the TV as the held the television in front of him, they were average strength for soldiers and yet they had been holding the heavy 80' with a large transmission and wireless enetertainment system for over an hour whilst walking with it and they were not even tired. Strator looked at all the devices and realsied that with his giant portable TV, he had gone beyond stupid, he had invented wireless cable TV... He thought back to the Irish solar powered flashlight and sighed, at least he was not going to make something like that.

Emperor Boston was backstage, watching the other acts, and the ongoing Strator - Skgorria 'crisis', with some pleasure.
[Boston] Why didn't we think of that? A military tune played by the best brass in the country - literally - might not have won us anything but at least it'd display our prowess.
[Christine] But I like, totally loved the Geesemonkey song!
[Boston] Of course dear. But it won us the kiddie and idiotic young teenage girl vote back home.
[Christine] Ohh yeah.
[Boston] Exactly. Look, I'm going for a walk. I have two dressing rooms to visit...
[Christine] Who?
[Boston] Urgh, I thought the dramatic pause with "..."would have made it obvious. Strator and Skgorria of course.
Boston walked out the dressing room, singing the Anthem of the Bostopian Army.
[Boston] Our flag raised high, Bostopian eyes are watching, as we go prove, our might above the world! Veterans who served the call are watching over our souls, as we go fight, and conquer for our land! Veterans who served the call are watching over our souls, as we go fight, and conquer for our land!
The Stratorian government official placed in charge of supervising the marching band was A01 G34 No.135, he was a big man, who is ex-AIDS. No.135 was standing outside the dressing room when he heard somebody coming. He nearly laughed when he saw the mans face, he had no idea what a geesemonkey was, but this man seems to like them, he was the one that performed that strange song about them. Why people should be allowed to live after such a performance was a mystery to him but he decided let it pass without asking around. He stepped forward to question the strange man.
"May I know what you are doing here sir, I beleive there are no geesemonkeys here..."
The man was probably a big celebrity in his country, as he obviously was not used to that manner of speech. In Strator, all of the goverment officials who are not seat fillers say what they feel (other than criticising Strator in the slightest bit, or annoying him), except for No.035, for some reason No.035 did not speak freely about anything, he did not even give an opinion on anything.

"What am I doing here?" The Head of State pondered the question. He only really ever got that tone off of his assistant, and the Chairman of Vladmiristak.
[Boston] I am Emperor Boston of the Empire of the Confederate States of the East and West Isles of Bostopia. Is there a senior official of your nation's around? You see, I'm rather hoping to have a formal chat with someone about matters of state. Oh, and ignore the song, it was needed to ensure my wife and I won the voting back home ahead of a socialist band. Well, Rejistania said he's writing his RP, I got no response from Ironwell, and Eciam seems to be inactive.
Therefore, i think it's okay if we forget about Eciam, but the other two, we're waiting for their songs.
No.135 stood tall, proud of how well his body had aged, or maybe it was just that this man found him incompetent for the job...

The lights went off neearly completely except for an eery glow behind the stage, a shadow seems to hush on the stage. A spotlight pierces the darkness and shows Lyku Kynsu standing on the stage in a colorful majuvedan costume and an electric Kitar (a guitar which is tuned differently and has only 5 strings) in hand. In front of him is a microphone.
A sinister drum starts beating slowly. Lyku Kynsu stands motionless a few long seconds until he suddenly shouts "Sanja'iln sijan!" (Live today/now!). Four spotlights show the other members of Kurudi ri who entered the stage. The music begins loud and fast but nontheless melodic. The intro is a bit longer than in the version, Kurudi ri would play in Rejistania in order make the foreigners more comfortable with the harmonics.
The lyrics are sung slow and pondering over the rather quick music.
"Ima'ny 'tyjy kyjet'han,
kielikali'timisan"
(the leaf floats down the river, the 'town clock' ticks)
"neve tesha, neve tesha...
mi'aru'ta eriha"
(onwards, onwards, there is no end)
"Kansa'tan mi'aru xen'ra
Sijehi'oki'hasja"
(the divine spirit among us / Tomorrow surely is bright)
Kurudi ri starts playing the bridge to the chorus.
"Jea'iln, jea'iln! tesha'aru'ta salan, salan xen'visko alil shansa'ny ivaril!" (realize, realize! Time is not long enough to know stupid (ivaril is a majuvedian colloquial expression) laws by heart), the band plays with much energy and much dedication.
The second stanza begins:
"tani'iln je tani'xen?
xe'ma'ta visko mi!
Iln'mer'ela sanja meten!
xe'ma'oki koleni!
xe'mesit'ma'ta ve lanja
'va, siki ji kji reja"
(your nation or ours?
I can not say that
You slowly disvalue life
I surely can compare!
I maybe can no longer
life easy and spontanious.)
Kurudi ri starts playing the bridge to the chorus.
"Jea'iln, jea'iln! tesha'aru'ta salan, salan xen'visko alil shansa'ny ivaril!" (realize, realize! Time is not long enough to know stupid (ivaril is a majuvedian colloquial expression) laws by heart), the band plays it again, Meku, the Ta~okyist (a Ta~oky in its modern form is rather similar to a vibraphone) starts singing the second voice.
A C-section starts, not a real Kitar-solo since the rest of the band still plays albeit far less dominant. During this, Lyku starts singing some weird abbreviations which are legal codes, the band joins in by shouting its comments about
them:
"Sia Ieme, sia anhine, sia kurudi, sia lisidi" (youth (protection) laws, laws concerning "substances", tax laws, laws concerning political liside'ny)
"Sia Ieme" - "sejil!"
"sia anhine" - "sejil!"
"sia kurudi" - "sejil!"
"sia lisidi" - "sejil!"
After that part, the Rejistanians played the chorus again, and repated with higher and higher speed. Then, they ccame to an end on one note with the shout "JIE!"

"Can we speak about this somewhere, you know in a place that isn't bugged."
"I got some of the other guys to check this room, there are no recording devices here, speak your mind."
"Personally, I thought that performance was absolutely useless, I could not understand a word of it - it seems that no-one can speak English around here, and the interpreters are useless as ever."
"What do you mean Tom?"
"I remember, one time, they interpreted some phrase as invisible lunatic - turned out, they meant out of sight, out of mind."
"Ha, oh well, so are we going with the Stratorian & Skgorrian ban."
"Well, to be honest, no - the fact of the matter is that the Stratorians have done a pretty good number, yes it does glorify war, but the truth is that almost all the other songs are much much worse."
"Well, Tom, I hope the last two performances make all this travel worthwhile."

So, up in Serelian we have only 2 songs left.
Well, I'm not sure if the next two songs will be performed. I have heard that The Imperial Rock Love Force is ignoring their call to perform, and The Swilatia band is not in the theatre.
And what you're saying is...
Maybe we should start the voting now?
It will come soon enough, but we'll consider it.
Well, here's another thing. Some people have been complaing to us about songs that are in foreign languages, that they cannot understand them. Should we make a rule that songs should be in English?
No. People should be able to sing in whatever language they want. Restricting them to just one will go against the philosophy of the contest.

OOC: Dreadfully sorry for taking sooooo long. RL was quite obstructive these last few weeks.
IC:
As the lights slowly turned up, standing at centre stage was Damian Orlov, millionaire, globe-trotter, and guitar master of the Imperial Rock Love Force.
To his left stood Sasha Brightmoore, Republican Navy fighter jokcey and maistress of the triple stacked synthesizers.
Backing them up was Gendo Hasegawa, the mysterious Buddhist monk and bassist.
And atop of the platform was a mountain of a man. Still wearing the red luchador mask he was bound to by honour and blood was Lando "The Bear" St.Clair ready to bring it together in a drum cage.
"It's been a long time coming, here, on this stage." Damian said into the microphone, "A long time indeed. I just came back from the exotic and chille lands of the Scandinvans. I, I heard of princess looking for love and thought I was the man. Since I'm here on this stage, and not being fitted for a spiffy new prince hat I'm guessing you know how it went. She wasn't the right girl for my heart, but why waste a good song. There's still a lot of love left in me, tonight I'd like to share a bit of it with all of you. Hit it."
And with that The Bear hit the drums.
Climbing up a mountain of ice
Blazin 'cross the lonely tundra
Gonna win the race
To see your face
You live your life in unending splendor
A world of luxury
But now I'm here
here to set you free
I'm gonna open up the walls with the key of my heart
I'm gonna melt your ice with the heat of my love
And I'll start
To win the Princesses heart
On your golden pedastol
Highest of the high
Prisoner of order
It makes my heart cry
I'd climb Eveerst for you smile
Fight a war of love in a hard fought land
Solve the oldest of riddles
Just to ahve you for a while
I'm gonna open up the walls with the key of my heart
I'm gonna melt your ice with the heat of my love
And I'll start
To win the Princesses heart
I'm gonna open up the walls with the key of my heart
I'm gonna melt your ice with the heat of my love
And I'll start
To win the Princesses heart
After the instruments settled Damian grabbed the mike one last time.
"Thank you everybody, good night!"

So, here we are in Piosenka dla Swilasjii, again. Well, not exactly, we are not looking for a WorldVision song. To tell more specifically what is going on, all the songs have been performed, except Eciam, who's song we are not likely to hear. And that means it's scoring time.
Now, to make sure Swilatia's scoring choices are the opinions of the people, we will have a poll to decide who gets how many points. Now, how this will work is that you go to our website, www.piosenka-dla-swilasjii.swi, and vote in the poll for the song you liked the most. Then the song that gets the most votes gets 12 points, secnd place 10, then you go on with 8-1, and the rest get 0. Following along with the "don't score your own song" rule, the Swilatian song won't be on the poll.
----
OOC: This is a cue that the scoring starts. Give 12 points to 1 song, then 10, then 8-1. You may not give points to your own country's song. You may RP your scoring to work however you want, but in the end the same point system is used.

no you give your favourite 12 points, then 10 to second place, then 8-1 points going down the list, finally the remaining songs and your own get 0 points for you.

"And now Bazalonia, it's now time to reveal who you chose as your favourite song. First off... For 0 points.
Broken on the grand line, by Totalslava from Skgorria...
fight, fight, fight for the fatherland, by Strator from Strator and
La C'hiasmo, by Cercanto Ligna from Brutland and Norden.
Bazalonia these three songs will receive no points, as you have made the decision.
For one Point, Crazy Geesemonkey, by Emperor Boston and the Empress from Bostopia.
For 2 points, You killed the city, by Edward and the zombies from Edward City
For 3 points, Wentland is Sh.. uh, yeah, by The Oblivion from Wentland.
For 4 points, Question, by Ha U Sun from Fattyboland
For 5 points, Ordinary Joker, by Simon Windsor from Alexandrian Ptolemais
For 6 Points, Koniec Świata, by Bandyty Swilajskie from Swilatia
For 7 Points, Melt the Ice Princess's Heart, by The Imperial Rock Love Force From Ironwell
For 8 points, Double Helix, by Benny Angle from Zwangzug
For 10 points, Hi Fi Superstar, by Wet Fingers from Lovisa
For 12 Points, that leaves us with Jea'iln!, by Kurudi ri from Rejistania.
These have been your votes Bazalonia and together with votes from all around the world will make the results of the WorldVision contest. Thank you and Congratulations to all our performers. Especially Charlie Daniels and his Song "All Around" Thank you Bazalonia and goodnight.

Jawalski: So did you see the results of Swilatia's poll?
Wiadzase: No, but I would like to.
Jawalski: Well, I have them printed here. *hands scores over*
Wiadzase: This is not looking too good...
Jawalski: Well, let's see. Skgorria, Fattyboland, and Wentland don't really deserves points, so there should be no problem there.
Wiadzase: Yes, but go up and it starts to make less sense.
Jawalski: Well, Edward City and there terrible song is getting points.
Wiadzase: It's only 1 point though. That's nothing, it's only a few votes that keeep it out of a zero. Then we have 2 points to strator...
Jawalski: Well, I guess some people liked it, or thought of it as "the least of 13 evils". Besides, sure it is a millitary song, but at least it does not say anything about "racial cleansing" like Skgorria's song.
Wiadzase: And then 3 points to Brutland and Norden. Wow? Some people actually voted for that lady who gave birth on stage? Talk about bad taste.
Jawalski: Well, I can agree there, I would rather see Fattyboland or Wentland getting points then this song, but not sure if I can say the same with Skgorria.
Wiadzase: 4 to Ironwell?... They deserve better then this! that was a great song!
Jawalski: Well, they would have done slightly better if it were not for the idiotic teenage girls.
Wiadzase: What do you mean?
Jawalski: Well, look one result up. Bostopia gets 5 points with their geesemonkey act. It had to be the votes of the idiotic teenage girls. I see no other explaination for that childish song getting such a high result on our poll.
Wiadzase: Okay, 6 for Alexandrian Ptolemais, not sure if I can say anything about that... 7 for All around, form Bazalonia?
Jawalski: Well, It is starange that a useless love song does so well. Not sure if I can say too much here though, could we go on now?
Wiadzase: Okay. 8 points to Rejistania? How? That song is so useless.
Jawalski: Well, unlike in many of the other songs, the lyrics actually mean something. If you don't believe me, go on the internet and find a translation of the words. If you doubt that's what the real translation is, learn Rejistanian and listen to the song again. There is meaning in the song. It's not as bad as how Lovisa is gettign 10 points with their dance trash.
Wiadzase: Yes, I can't believe they are so high. They should be at the bottom. But whatever.
Jawalski: Okay, putting the rest aside, the 12 point song is... Double Helix by Benny Angle from Zwangzug.
Wiadzase: 12 points to a useless love song? Please kill me.
Jawalski: You have the sheet saying it. You already knew.
Wiadzase: SO? it's still a bad song.

The Zwangzug judges closed the final window, displaying Ironwell's performance. "Is it just me, or are most of these people just as bad as most of ours?"
"That last one was pretty decent."
"True."
"Okay, we have to give zero points to three of them..."
"That should be easy."
As it turned out, it was not: there was too much competition. They finally decided on "Question", "Wet Fingers", and "Onwards, The Fist of Righteousness". Reluctantly, they gave "fight, fight, fight for the fatherland" a single point.
This tedious process, in which they had to listen again to songs they hadn't liked the first time, continued approximately until "Jea'iln!", which they were glad to give eight points to: it would cancel out the others. The "pretty decent" song qualified for ten points considering the competition, and everyone was impressed by the Nord-Brutlandese translation and triumph of hope against the cynical world...or something.

The Rejistanian TV-R now showed short fragments of every artist and below that, a telephone number in arabic and rejistani numbers. The different moderators/translaters of the Rejistanian broadcast explained that now the televoting would start and the viewers have the chance to make their vote count (for only 800 lil'kansu'ny per call).
The rejistanian results later would be presented by Akaril Hetu, a rejistanian actor.

"So there you have it, with an invalid voting announcement from Edward City and the Rejistanians apparently refusing to announce who gets their one point you all have it here today."
But now, we are officially half way through voting with having 7 nations officially voted and 7 nations still to go.
Here is the current Leader board as collated from Bazalonian officials*"
Brutland and Norden: 52
Zwangzug: 51
Ironwell: 40
Alexandrian Ptolmais: 39
Rejistania: 37
Swilatia: 36
Lovisa: 34
Bazalonia: 29
Wentland: 22
Bostopia: 15
Edward City: 14
Fattyboland: 12
Skgorria: 12
Strator: 7
"There are plenty of interesting surprises there, and some not so. Best surprise performance is from Brutland and Norden who received no points from Bazalonia and yet have taken the lead from Zwangzug by a mere 1 point.
Those two have a commanding 10 point lead over a group of 3rd to 7th teams made up of Ironwell, Alexandrian Ptolemais, Rejistania, Swilatia and Lovisa. Only 6 points seperating those 5 teams. Bazalonia is next 8th, 5 points behind Lovisa and 7 points ahead of Wentland who is in 9th, Out on our own. Then another 7 points behind for the Emperor and Empress of Bostopia with their Crazy Geesemonkey song. Then it is Edward city, Fattyboland and Skgorria making up a close group of poor performers and Stator siting in dead last,
Still 7 votes to come in and the Nation is abuzz with excitement, this can still be taken out by everyone, well, almost.

So, here we are, more then halfway through the scoring, and The results so far... Well, they are rather surprising, that's all we can say. The places have changed very much from what it was after 4 scorings. Just take a look at the tabe. Oh, and yes there might be some mistakes.
B. Norden 56
Zwangzug 54
A. Ptolemais 51
Ironwell 47
Swilatia 46
Rejistania 45
Lovisa 39
Bazalonia 35
Wentland 22
Bostopia 16
Edward City 16
Fattyboland 12
Skgorria 12
Strator 8
So, we have Brutland and norden at the top, which is rather surprising, but Zwangzug is only 2 points behind.
Then as we continue down, we have Alexandrian Ptolemais, just 3 points down from second. Further, 4th to 6th places, occupied by Ironwell, Swilatia, and Rejistania, are just one point apart. there is no telling what happens to these countries. 6 points and 1 place down, we have Lovisa, at 7th. Then 4 points down, Bazalonia has a rather solid grip on 8th, as Wentland, who has 9th place, is 12 points lower. Finally in the lowest spots, we have a draw with Edward City and Bostopia both 16 points, Then Fattyboland and Skgorria with 12. Strator is in last with only 8 points.
So now, now we wait for the remaing 6 scorings...

The broadcasters went to a very apologetic Wentland panel chair, who announced that no-one had actually bothered to ring in with votes, apparently on the basis that everything was rubbish, apart from The Oblivion who were currently number 1 in the WentChart (even above The Pettes).
However the chair awarded some points, after making some arch comment about the contest being filled with commies and fascists.
12 - Rejistania and the incomprehensible thing
10 - Bostopia and the goosething
8 - Ptolemais and the train thing
7 - Brutland and the gynaecological thing
6 - Ironwell and the not giving us points thing
5 - Zwangzug and the helix thing
4 - Bazalonia and the acoustic thing
3 - Swilatia and the green thing (this was met by boos)
2 - Edward City and the zombie thing
1 - Strator and the nazi thing

"Yep, so do I - I bet one thousand Gold Denarii (about US$150k) on him winning. Ah well, I suppose it is for the best."

(Taken from the English subtitle of the Nord-Brutlandese show)
Stefano Rignello: Here we are at the TRNM studios to announce the Nord-Brutlandese votes for the WorldVision Song Contest 1.
Camilla Trossefini: Yes, and right now we are just waiting for the votes from the province of Brutland.
SR: Without the Brutish vote, votes from Norden and the Union Territories shows Zwangzug at the top, followed by Rejistania, Alexandrian Ptolemais, and Ironwell.
CT: As we can see, the Nordeners voted for Zwangzug by almost four hundred thousand votes. In the Union Territories, only Zwangzug got over a million votes.
SR: And as we have reminded you, people of Brutland and Norden, you cannot vote for our entry.
CT: We are doing well, aren't we?
SR: Um, well, not really, as in our round of voting we get 0 points. And frankly, I don't expect us to win either.
(Boos and Hisses from the audience. Somebody throws an overripe tomato and hits Stefano right in the face.)
SR: Damn! Now, this isn't the Throwfest (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/La_Truofeste)! You folks have to - (another tomato flies and destroys Stefano's cute styled hair).
CT: Well, I assume you didn't like -
(An audience member shouts: Stefano, go to Bazalonia!)
CT: Well, whatever.
SR: (wipes the tomato juice off his face and hair) We don't want this to evolve into a food fight, do we?
(*a bell rings*)
CT: Looks like the Brutish votes are in...
(they turn around to face the electronic board announcing the votes)
SR: Oh my God! The Brutish vote messes up all the rankings!
CT: The vote is pretty close... Stefano, you have a chunk of tomato on your shirt.
SR: Oh, damn.
CT: Shall we announce the points?
SR: Sure, do ahead. I think I got a tomato piece up my nose.
http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/6119/gnplvmcdcqe6.png (http://img403.imageshack.us/my.php?image=gnplvmcdcqe6.png)
CT: For 12 points, with a margin of three thousand votes, Alexandrian Ptolemais' Ordinary Joker by Simon Windsor!
CT: For 10 points, Rejistania's Jea'iln! by Kudiri Ri!
CT: This is amazing. The vote was really close. By a margin of 29 votes, for 8 points, Ironwell's Melt the Ice Princess' Heart by the Imperial Rock Love Force! Closely follows is Zwangzug's Double Helix by Benny Angle for 7 points!
SR: What? Zwangzug's got only 7 points? I voted for that song!
CT: Brutland's votes changed the ranking earlier.
CT: And for 6 points, Lovisa's Hi Fi Superstar by Wet Fingers!
CT: To receive 5 points is Edward City's You Killed the City by Edward and the Zombies!
CT: The 4 points goes to Bostopia's Crazy Geesemonkey by Emperor Boston and the Empress!
CT: 3 points goes to Swilatia's Koniec Świata by Bandietei Swilaskie!
SR: Hey, you totally messed up the name of the band.
CT: How will I pronounce that? The letter Y is not that used in Nord-Brutlandese.
SR: All right. Just hope there's no Swilatian in here.
CT: Ok, fine. I'll continue. For 2 points, Fattyboland's Question by U Sun!
CT: And for 1 point, Strator's Fight, Fight, Fight for the Fatherland by Strator!
SR: I thought that song wouldn't make it.
CT: Well, evidently it did, because of the Brutes. It ranked even higher than Bazalonia in Brutland.
SR: Wait, Bazalonia did not get in?
CT: Nope, Strator beat them by about 5,000 votes. Brutland voted differently than Norden, you know.
SR: It was such a nice song.
CT: Well, yeah, but we are not the judge, the Nord-Brutlandese are! Thank you Brutland and Norden for voting and watching. Good luck to all the contestants of WorldVision Song Contest! Bye!

As it became more clear that Skgorria's scores were not going to come, the WorldVision Group had decided to forget waiting, as it was already getting rather close to the time that the results would be broadcasted. So, while they were already know to some participating countries, the scores after 13 nations were to be shown, and used to decide the winner. However, to stay away from excluding them, it was decided if by some chance their scores are shown soon, the total scores, and the contest results, will be changed.
(program starts)
Okay, so now it is the day after the worldvision contest. We have heard many performances, some good, some not, it all depends on your opinions. Now, since this is a contest, and we have to show the scores, I have no time to wait with this. Now, the scores Shall be shown. At 21 points, we have Skgorria. Then, with 24 points to each, Strator and Fattyboland are tied. Up one we have Wentland, with 30, then Edward City with 32. Bostopia have 37 points, well behind Lovisa, who have 59. Next are Swilatia, with 60, and Bazalonia with 61. Then Zwangzug, who have 77. Now, in the top 4, we have Alexandrian Ptolemais, with 78, Ironwell with 79, Brutland and Norden with 81. And the winner is... Rejistania, with 86 points!!

Jawalski: Good!
Wiadzase: How is it good. Do you hate your own country now?
Jawalski: No, just the song. It is an embarrasment to our country. They do not deserve to represent us in an international contest.
Wiadzase: Well, it was at least better then the other songs that were on the national poll.
Jawalski: I'm not sure if I can agree with you on that. I voted for some other song. Don't remember which but it's not this one.
