After a devestating Civil war, and the re-launch of the QFL, Qazox finally has the infrastructure to host the Women's World Cup, and formally announces its bid to host said tourney.

Depending on the number of sign-ups, there will be 3 to 5 qualifing groups, hopefully with an equal number of teams. Also depending on the number of sign-ups, either the top 2 or 3 teams from each group will advance to the Cup proper. If need be a play-off will determine any remaining spots. The Top 5 teams in the new rankings will be seeded while the remainder of the groups will be randomly drawn.

<Stuff deleted>The Top 5 teams in the new rankings will be seeded while the remainder of the groups will be randomly drawn.

By the looks of it - Qazox, Jeruselem, Wentland and two others (probably Green Wombat and ECIAM) will be top 5 seeds.

The Ermines, after a dissapointing loss to jeruslem in the Quarters of WWC9, announce that they will be back and will throw their hats into the ring for hosting bids.

The GREEN WOMBAT BID:

An unseeded, random draw, with either 4 or 5 groups depending on the number of sign-ups. I'm planning on having at least half the teams that sign up advance to the Cup proper. (i.e: if 20 sign up then 10 advance to next portion, if 30 sign up, 16 advance, etc.) There will be a mininum of 8 teams advancing to the next part. The scorinator to be used will be one of my own creation.

Yes from -3 to +3 and you can use decimals as well (i.e: -2.05 or +1.66) but keep it to 2 decimal places please.

I'vebeen knee-deep in work and college work and once again I can't do the rankings until sometime next week, could someone else possibly do them? Just look at the Qazoxian Rankings NSWiki, and you'll be able to figure it out. (9=100%, 8=50%, 7=25%)

Also I would like to put this to a vote, as to ask the World Cup to take over, as since Chicanada left following WWC5/beginning of WWC6, this has basically gone to crap. From about 30 teams in WWC's 2-5 to 17 last time out and so-far 16 this one. If the World Cup Commitee refuses to take over, THIS POSSIBLY WOULD BE THE LAST WOMEN'S WORLD CUP for the forseeable future. It has been a great run over these last 6-7 months, but the writing is on the wall.

I tell you what, if nobody's voted yet, I'd like to cast my hat into the ring for hosting. See, back before I was part of a WWC that saw some...well, quite retarded rules put down by Liverpool England, one of which I believe was that any complaints would be met with a ranking point penalty. I expressed displeasure, and when LE told me that I should have hosted it myself, I told him that I couldn't, having only realised the host bids were being accepted after the voting was closed.

Anyway.

I want to get a chance at hosting something to prove I can do it without any cock-ups, and I figure this is a good place to start.

By a vote of 4-1 Qazox won the right to host Women's World Cup 10, but has decided to allow McPsychoville, a returning power to host instead. Qazox WILL host WWC 11 (if there is one) so NO hosting bids for that tourney will be allowed.

I don't think i'm ready for a World Cup hosting bid yet.. maybe after i graduate in May.. then i'll have time to host a World Cup (so maybe WC 36)

If i may ask. why haven't you tried to host a Cup yet?? (a JeruOx bid maybe...lol)

Well, hosting - my time zone will probably 12 hours difference between you and me. I cannot do this during the day as I have work which is very stressful (and sometimes destroys a weekend).

I do IT support ... for work and home (had to fix BSOD on my desktop yesterday, damn AMD Cool'n'Quiet)

I'm not discounting it yet, maybe getting a less stressful and busy job first. I like JeruOx! or Qazuselem

Time permitting, I will have the full thread up by Monday evening (GMT). I'd like to thank Qazox for giving me the opportunity to prove my hosting credentials (and that PsyQaz bid does not sound like a bad idea at all).

A few notes on the way the tournament will be run. Sixteen teams provides a nice 4x4 group stage and such, leading into the single elimination tournament we know and love. I will be using the Qazoxian ratings (below), and hope it will be a good clean fight, no punching below the belt, no fishhooking, no small joint manipulation, LET'S GET IT ON.

Qazox (4.281 points - 1st in the world)
Jeruselem (4.181 points - 3rd)
