Aerionian National Stock Exchange <ANSE> Open to Foreign Investment

The Aerionian National Stock Exchange, headquartered in the Aerionian capital Astevane's Financial District, has announced that it is open to foreign investment. A number of company stocks are available for purchase, but not to exceed 30% total of foreign investment per corporation unless by special arrangement and approval, and a maximum of 10% total stock ownership in a corporation investment from investors in each nation unless by special approval. Foreign investment is limited to only two corporation choices per nation. It is noted that all funds must be converted through the Royal Central Bank (The Grand Kingdom has a centralized banking system, with the Royal Central Bank as the only primary national bank in the nation) into Aerionian Gold Leaves <AGL> <A£> (Approximately equiavelent to US dollars)

Wealthy individuals from foreign nations may profit further by going through brokerage firms, such as Jaston & Makreu, or Kashan for purchases below 1% ownership.


OOC Explanation
(Doing this by percentage, basically an financial entity from your your nation (IC: An individual, corporation, or government from your nation) purchases a percentage of stock ownership in an Aerionian corporation. Up to 2 corporation choices per nation total. Entities from your nation can only purchase 10% total stock ownership in each of the 2 corporations you choose. So for example an extremely wealthy individual from your nation could purchase 5% ownership, and a corporation could invest 5% in your first choice corporation , and your government might choose to invest 10% in your second choice corporation. Also, 30% maximum foreign ownership total will be allowed in any 1 Aerionian megacorporation (So only 3 nations (ICly: Foreign Investors from these 3 Nations ) will have ownership in any single Aerionian megacorporation)

COST: Stock ownership in these megacorporations is costly, for an average of what 1% stock ownership is like we may say around A£50 million Aerionian Gold Leaves. Therefore unless your nation is huge it is unlikely the investing entities from your nation will be able to purchase up to the full 10% allowed per each corporation. This cost is because these are Aerionian Megacorporations with monopolies over these industries, and each of these megacorporations owns huge subsidiaries. Also some of these megacorporations may have international interests as well. The Grand Kingdom of Aerion has a HUGE population.

Just as a note, the Crown (Currently the Crown Board composed of the Royal Family in absence of an Crowned King) owns 10% of every Aerionian Megacorporation by Royal Prerogative and a Royal Representative sits on every one of these corporations’ Board of Directors.

OOC: HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Place the name of the individual, corporation, or your government and the percent of their stock ownership purchase in the corporations you chose. Multiple individuals, corporations, and governments are allowed for a total of 10% corporate ownership maximum in each of your 2 corporation choices. As another example, an individual may purchase 1% (A£50 million worth), a corporation 3% (A£1 and ahalf billion worth), and your government 6% (A£3 billion) in your 1st choice of corporation to total 10% of that. Then your second choice you could just decide to have an corporation purchase 2% (A£1 billion) worth and that would be it because your nation may not have that many financial entities (individual, corporate, or government) interested or that can afford it.

After putting your stock ownership interests in a post, the corporation you are investing in will then approve or disapprove the purchases.

The Royal Central Bank is perhaps unique in the Grand Kingdom of Aerion. It serves the function of a central bank, but with its various branches it is also the primary commercial bank, investment bank, and even creditor in the Grand Kingdom of Aerion. It could be said to have a monopoly on banking. They can set the rates, and benefit from the rates. The Governor, and 7 member Executive Board of the Royal Central Bank decides interest rates, and make other decisions on monetary policy and that a central bank makes.

The Crown by Royal Prerogative appoints the Governor of the Royal Central Bank and the Executive Board. The Crown also by Royal Prerogative has an permanent seat on the Executive Board, whom it usually sends a Royal Representative to. The investment, commercial, retail, and creditor divisions are under the "Royal Bank" with its own Board of Directors, subordinate to the Executive Board. It should be noted that many megacorporations have their own banks, that operate solely for their employees, but are also a way for the megacorporations to have control over their employees.

It is often noted that the Crown has some of its financial assets in the Crown Bank, a private bank with the assets of the Crown and much of the assets of individual Royal Family members. Aerionian Gold Leaves are converted into Crown Notes, the private currency issued by the Crown Bank. This currency is backed up by gold commodity. A Crown Note is made of paper, making it deeply ceremonial, as opposed to the electronic currency of the majority of the Kingdom on things such as credit-chips. The Crown Note is highly respected as it is known to be backed by gold.. The starting Crown Note is worth $50,000 Aerionian Gold Leaves. The Royal Family often uses this for greater payments or for ceremonial times. The Crown Prince has often been using them for charity presentations.

Some of this gold is stored in the Royal Vault in the Royal Palace, which also has other valuables of the Crown and Royal Family such as the Crown Jewels.
