We're up to the 9th one already? Time does sure fly.

As usual all are welcome and any bids for hosting this thing are welcome as well. And now for something different, A WOMEN'S WORLD CUP HALL OF FAME. After 8 Cups, there has been enough RP's to warrant a Hall of Fame, so here are the rules for nomination, so to speak:

For every 5 Cups competed in, One place is earned.
For every 3 Quarterfinals reached, One place is earned.
For winning a title, One place is earned , but only once per team.

I will have a separate thread for the Hall of Fame,http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=516245 where you hopefully will place your players. There will also be 2 national teams inducted, Chicanda's, for founding the Women's World Cup, and the 2nd one is up to you. The nominees for that will also be placed into the HoF thread. A complete list of eligible teams and the total number of earned will be posted in that thread before Women's World Cup IX, and the first class will be inducted before the Final. After the initial induction class, each eligible team will be limited to ONE place after each Cup. Also each induction will include a national team. There will also be a NSWiki page upon which you can place your player(s).

Since i had to review all of the 8 previous Cups, here's a couple of Facts:

Only 5 teams have competed in all 8 Cups, (and for this purpose, WWC 2 and WW3 only those who made into the Group stages counted) and they are: Qazox, Jeruselem, Wentland, Haraki and Yafor 2.

Jeruselm is the only team to have made it least the Quarters in all 8 cups. Wentland and Qazox each have made 7 and only Chicanada and Yafor 2 have played in 5.

The team with the most appearances in the WWC with out making the quarterfinals: 6 appearances by Toranat.

Puppets that have made a WWC Quarterfinal: Sativaville (Qazox); Marceau State (Rorysville), Toranat (Quakmybush).

Toranat is the only puppet that has more WWC appearances than its Master, Quakmybush (6-5).

Ok enough facts, and down to business, Sign-ups are open.

9th times the charm and Qazox will finally tie Jeruselem. And my puppet will be hosting, if voted in.

We'll be back and looking for the 4th cup. Falling short is not an option ...

This is an official Hosting Bid for Every Citizen is a Man.

We will use the official ranks provided by Qazox.

The Format, If 16 teams sign up is as follows:

Four groups of Four, no byes. One Puppet in Each Group.

If more teams sign up, the format will be adjusted accordingly. Should 17 teams sign up, the format will be changed such that:

The defending Champion gets a Bye. 4 Groups of 4, all puppets in one group. Only one team advances from the puppet group, 2 from the other 3 groups.

Should 18 teams be signed up, there will be no byes, and two groups will have 5 teams. And on down the line.

Coocoostan Will play.

The Nation of Sativaville, has finalized its plans, for the 9th Women's World Cup.

Here is the quick nuts and bolts:

Depending on the number of teams that sign-up, (and it looks like it's stalled out at 17) There will be 3 groups. With the current 17 team confirmed, the Groups would have 2 groups of 6 and 1 group of 5. IF we get an 18th, then there will be 3 groups of 6.

The top 2 teams from each group will advance directly into the quarterfinals. The 3 third place teams and the best 4th place team (based on Win pct.) will face each other (Best 3rd vs. Best 4th and 2nd best 3rd vs. 3rd best 3rd.) and the two winners will advance to the Quarterfinals.

A projected schedule:

Playoffs: 2/18
Quarters: 2/19
Semis: 2/21
Final and 3rd place: 2/23

Teams will be randomly drawn, with NO WEIGHT given to Ranks. So there could be a group with 2 or 3 top ranked teams, and one with all mid-to-low ranked ones. I believe this way, it injects the possiblity of new teams advancing to the knock-outs.

This only shows that you do not take the voting process seriously and shouldn't even be granted a vote to begin with. Not to mention that you should be ashamed.

In addition, since only one host bid was put forward at the time that the voting begun, should not Every Citizen is a Man be awarded the hosting rights by default?

2nd part first: Um.. NO. I was just about to close the Host bids when you posted yours. And i'm not playing favorites although my "puppet" (ooc:my brother actually does the RP'ing for Sativaville and will be doing the Scorination for Sativaville. He couldn't post until earlier today...long story) is one of the Host canidates. I'm not casting a vote as currently it sits: 2-2, and I may be the deciding vote, and i'll catch a bunch os shit if my "puppet" wins. So unless within 24 hours there is a change in the votes, the voting will be extended until 2/10/07.

As for the first part, Jeruselem has been one of the very few here from the beginning and has RP'd in every cup, so please no critizism from a relative newcomer ok? Every one who signs up, even newcomers can vote, and trust me we don't want another Noremark.

I don't care if he's been here a year or a day... He cast a vote for a non-existant bid. It doesn't matter if the criticism is coming from me or aunt betsy, It's still a fact. It clearly was not a vote cast based on the hosting bids on the table (only one at that time that bidding was closed).

So let me get this straight...

1) You signed up "your puppet" as a host candidate
2) You never posted a bid for it, yet it still got votes, best not on the bid itself, but based only on the fact that it is "your puppet"
3) Yet, Despite 1 & 2, If Sativaville wins, your brother who has never posted before will be hosting the tournament should the nation who did not submit a bid until after the bid deadline is elected.

Perhaps this information would have been good to share to the voters before... well first off before the voting opened, and second off before you posted a bid thread stating that it would be your puppet hosting the tournament when in fact it will be hosted by your brother who has not even been here.


I officially move for Sativaville to be disqualified from the host voting for the Womens World Cup IX bid, not only for missing the bid deadline, but for giving a false impression to voters that despite there not being a bid, they were essentially bidding for a Qazox hosted tournament, when this actually turns out not to be the case.

Hey looky, at least I'm right upfront about my vote here. I voted Qazox/Sativaville because they've been here a while and I don't want another Noremark to happen. Sativaville was always intending bid for the WWC9. My puppet Jeru FC is not going to vote because Jeruselem and Jeru FC are owned by me.

Fair play, the name Qazox/Sativaville has been around for a while. But, now we know that despite previous claims to the contrary, these two nations are not controlled by the same user, and that the person who has been claiming to be the owner of Sativaville is not the one who will be in charge of the women's world cup if that nation is elected.

The Sativaville bid will be dropped. So Every Citizen is a Man will be the Host of Women's World Cup 9.

Second of all, Sativaville is still my Puppet, but I was going to have my brother scorinate the matches for me and post the RP's for the Cup, so there would be no Qazox/Sativaville bias. My brother has no interest in Nationstates, so I figured that an impartial person, who has NO STAKE AT ALL IN THE OUTCOME would be a good host. Sorry if it appeared that I misrepresented myself/Sativaville.

And for Women's World Cup X, you damn straight Sativaville will bid to host again, and will be scorinated by my brother.
