The Kelssek Broadcasting Corporation (la Société Radio-Kelssek) is Kelssek's public, independent broadcaster, producing radio and television programming in English and French. Already arguably the East Pacific's most prolific and reputed broadcaster, the KBC's renowned World Service reaches to the world and was one of the pioneers in the use of Internet podcasting.

The KBC's efforts to expand its global reach have so far extended mainly to satellite broadcasting and the distribution of satellite receivers through Kelssekian embassies. While the satellite receivers have been very successful in radio, because most people do not have the appropriate satellite dish antennas KBC Television's reach is still limited.

Therefore, the KBC has decided to expand its television reach through cable and terrestrial broadcasting, and so is now offering its programs to the world. National governments, cable providers, etc. are invited to carry KBC television broadcasting, which can be delivered through communications cables, digitally, or through satellite. The KBC will fully bear the cost of signal delivery to the service provider and encourages all the channels to be made available on its most basic subscription plan; but as a condition of this offer, at least KBC Newsworld and Premiere (or RDI and Galaxie if the country's primary language is French) must be available on the most basic plan. Audio-only channels of KBC Radio services can also be provided.

Any nation which would like terrestrial relay stations for broadcasting the KBC World Service or Radio-Kelssek Radio Monde on FM or AM will also have them installed. The relevant agency should provide a suitable site, with KBC bearing the cost of installing and maintaining the transmission equipment.

As the Kingdom is opening its airwaves to broadcasting companies from other nations, the government accepts KBC's offer. KBC will be assigned the frequency of 510 MHz (Channel 20). As we have done with other foreign broadcasters, we would like to ask if it is possible to have broadcasts be made in our language of Nord-Brutlandese. If not, the state-owned network TRNM asks permission to dub or subtitle your shows.

The nation of Az-cz would be quite happy to recieve broadcast from Kelssek, but are confused about the plan. Broadcasting the channels is free for the nations recieving the broadcast?

Az-cz is quite enthused for stronger relations with Kelssek. We'd also like to invite Kelssek to consider moving to Atlantian Oceania, the worlds premier sporting nation.

Az-Cz: To clarify, KBC covers the cost of broadcasting our channels. You won't pay anything extra to make the KBC available. However, that doesn't mean we'll pay for a TV for all your residents, or to lay a cable network; much as we'd like to we really haven't budgeted for that.

Brutland and Norden: We welcome the opportunity to broadcast terrestrially. We welcome the TRNM to provide subtitles or dubbing where appropriate. In the case of the latter we do ask that the original audio be provided through the second audio program.

Ariddia: The KBC welcomes the opportunity to broadcast in Ariddia and thanks the government of the People's Democratic Socialist Republic.

La Habana Cuba: While we understand that your government may be upset over the occasional editorial criticisms published in The Red Flag (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/The_Red_Flag), nonetheless we hope that your nation will reconsider in the future. Few Errinundrians own televisions. The culture here is to view broadcasts on large screens in public places. These screenings are popular social activities.

Local committees decide by popular vote upon the content screened in these public spaces.

The Ariddian broadcaster, P.I.N.A., is generally the preferred foreign broadcaster, however if your content is interesting enough then committees may well select your programs.

Sarzonian Communications Oversight Committee Chairman Frank Browers had a habit of thinking out loud. In the case of the KBC's request to bring Kelssek's broadcasting in English and French to Sarzonia, this certainly qualified as one of those times.

Efforts by the governments of both Sarzonia and Pacitalia to repair fractured relations also meant that selected other nations that were friendly to the Pacitalians might also come along for the ride. One such nation was Kelssek. Downloads of PBC news with limited coverage of Kelssekian events wasn't enough for the approximately 2.1 percent of the Sarzonian population who claimed Kelssekian origins.

Even though French was hardly on the radar screen among Sarzonian foreign languages, English was the official language. Thus, the English language broadcasts by the KBC certainly had at least a niche audience. The fact the Incorporated Sarzonian Government was looking to establish ties with Kelssek certainly didn't hurt.

Browers smiled as he saw the result of the vote. Four votes to none in favour of passage. He recused himself because he wanted to cast a tiebreaking vote in the event that were needed, but with the vote count being unanimous without his vote, his feedback wasn't necessary.

"Hey Cindy," he all but chirped as he walked in and saw his secretary.

"Yes Frank?"

"Send the following message to the KBC."

Public International News Ariddia and the Kelssek Broadcasting Corporation have announced a new collaborative program, Réseaux. The show consists of reports and documentaries on world events and current affairs, produced by PINA and the KBC and jointly presented on both networks. It will begin regular screenings on KBC Newsworld on Thursdays beginning February 22, 2007. Viewers receiving Premiere or KBC1 can also watch it on Fridays at 8pm KCST (12 noon UTC).

While we cannot accept KBC TV, KBC Radio is welcome in the tiny but radio-addicted Empire of Yulka. Every citizen owns a radio that they carry with them as they play and work (a healthy alternative to being amused by TV). The Empress also wonders if you have any plans for a radio-broadcast health and workout program to promote healthy habits. If not, you are still warmly welcomed.

After a long debate amongst members of the Senate a vote was held on the "KBC to Fattyboland Act". This Act would introduce English based KBC programs to Fattybolanders all over the country. The Vote was 45 Yes and 27 No. Planning will begin for the construction of new transmission towers soon, with the first tower expected to go up in 4 months in the Capital City of Vina.

We regret that as the KBC's non-entertainment programming is largely of a current affairs, informational and documentary nature, we do not have specialised health programmes. However, health topics are frequently discussed in our programs like The Current, which recently devoted a week to investigating the obesity epidemic in the developed world, and in our science programs where discoveries and research involving health and fitness are regularly reported.

KBC may be able to broadcast in The Grand Empire of Magnus Valerius, so long as it can get Valerian (OOC: a Slavic language, pretty much Russian with Greek and English loan words and pidgin, using the Latin alphabet :p), Greek, German, Magyar, Gaelic, Japanese, and Farsi language programming to cover all Valerian subjects. English may be the lingua franca of the empire, but to be fair to everyone, it is good to have programs in languages we all can understand better.

Our KBC World Service does offer 28 hours per week of Japanese and Russian, plus 14 hours per week of German programming. They can be accessed via shortwave and on satellite, or with your permission, we could set up relays locally to allow people to tune in on FM/AM.

The territorial government of les Îles de l'Éxterieur (the Outer Islands territory) have passed a law requesting SRK1 to broadcast in the territory. The Federal Government in CCL also welcomes the KBC to broadcast across the mainland. Well, in my mind people were going to specify what they wanted, but few have done that so my assumption is that in those cases they have been getting the international general programming channels (your usual drama, comedy, etc.) Premiere and Galaxie, and the news channels Newsworld or RDI, depending on the country's dominant language, which is what I suggested in the beginning.

In short, it's up to you to tell me what you want, but the standard is general programming channel + news channel.

The government of Snefaldia isn't really looking at getting into foreign broadcasting, so what I'm looking at doing is have two KBC channels- one carrying domestic Kelssek news, and the other international- and having the SBC and SPM companies carry various other KBC programs, a la local US radio hosting NPR and PRI programs as well as BBC World Service things.

To summarize: domestic and international news channels, and package deals with SBC and SPM. D'accord?

Kelssek, seeing how I often listen to your broadcasts (With glee, I might add) I'd love to have Warre offer land one the main island, Warre, for KBC to develop as a relay station. Not a huge amount of land, but enough land to do so, regardless. Likely in one of the suburbs outside of Lumina.

We'd love to have you broadcast in Lurikastan. We'll have you broadcast from Salo, with a network of Low-Power repeaters across the country. KBC one will receive the call letters LKBC-DT (on channel 2) KBC 2 will be LKBT (channel 9) KBC world will be LKBW (channel 102) and KBC Sport will be LKLT (channel 201). We hope that your channel achieves success in Lurikastan.

Q-DISH network and KBC? Sounds like a win-win situation for both parties involved. KBC would gain massive international penetration in markets they have not dreamed of. Nations like Colaville, Spikopia, and Nunchuckland. Q-DISH network would gain the 2nd largest international news source, after PINA, and it would also provide most of our French speaking nationals in SaxerVilla and St. Nash, programs in their native tongue. We will also comply with your wishes that most of KBC's programming be available on basic-programming packages. KBC Sports will have to be a premium channel, as Q-DISH Network current contracts with those channels would be voided if we carried any non-Qazoxian sports channel on any basic satellite package.

We will even offer you any channel number that you desire for your programming, provided that it is not currently in use by any other of the fine channels we carry. (Channels 46-54 are available as a KBC-block if desired)

Once again, the union of both of our companies would only enhance both of our international profiles and not to mention more advertising revenue, which would be split 50-50% with the KBC.

I refer to the recent discussions between our two organisations regarding your proposals to carry KBC programming in Fujisawa.

I regret to inform you that we are unable to accept the proposal for your company to have exclusivity with regard to KBC programs and to make the KBC a premium service, as this is against our goals as a public broadcaster.

It would, however, be acceptable to place KBC domestic channels on a premium service as long as KBC Premiere and/or KBC Galaxie as well as KBC Newsworld were available on your most basic service. I would also advise you that it may be difficult to entice people into paying extra for KBC programming which is freely available via DBS with an appropriate satellite dish.

We are committed to making access to the KBC more convenient around the world, however, and we are eager to reach an acceptable arrangement with your company. I look forward to your response.

The Iglesian Archipelago gladly welcomes every internationally-avaliable Kelssek Broadcasting Corporation broadcasts. KBC has channels with great quality programming (with a great variety on it) and it has very professional news investigation. We trust on the biggest Kelssekian broadcaster.

Can we also broadcast RTI's internationally-avaliable television (the television station is IGTV, which stands for Iglésias TV) and radio (the radio station is RIG, which stands for Rádio Iglesiana, or Iglesian Radio) channels, please? IGTV Internacional (or IGTV International) is the internationally-avaliable television channel, while RIG Internacional (or RIG International) is the internationally-avaliable radio channel.

Zwangzug radio broadcasters have reserved multiple sets of wavelengths in different parts of the country for KBC stations. If possible, KBC Radio Two and KBC Four would be broadcast from Ilinge, and Radio Three and Espace Musique would be broadcast from Thertria (all four on FM wavelengths). KBC World Service would be broadcast on AM wavelengths from both locations.
