Over two years gone from the international scene the Empire had fought a hard and long Civil War. Withdrawn from the international community the Grand Empire of Yavin was riped in shreds. Sadly over 80 million people died in the war and a city devestated by a Naquadah Bomb. The homeland had been ravaged by international superpower and they divided the spoils amongst themselves. An Emperor was thought dead and the small government neutralized. A planned out war went sour and ended up leaving its orchastrators on trial for war crimes.
With the Emperors return, and the empire stablized and had aquired new territories. Those which had given aid to the rebels or were corrupted by them had either been subdued by the empire or divided by her allies in joint operations to remove the mence with the technical know how to build a bomb equal to a gigaton nuclear warheads.
Now the empire was rebuilding and was to the point to rejoin the international community in world affairs. About the time the war started the Heartland, the first region to institute a regional government to help foster peace in the region, fell silent. For so long has the region neglected its presence in global affairs. The Emperor was instituting sweeping changes in the empire to protect it from ever having to face another Civil War like that again, and part of those changes was pulling the region out of isolation into the real world.

We are looking at openning up to national corporations that would like to have operations in the empire and possibly alliances.
