The gun shot blast pierced the darkness of the night. The bullet exploded from the mussel of the small pistol and struck Salvatore Falcone in the center of his chest. The black clad assassin took aim again with his Beretta M1934 semi automatic pistol and fired another shot into the head of Salvatore Falcone. The bullet struck him in the forehead and exited out the other side his skull splattering his brains out in the back alley wall. The assassin was wearing black gloves and ran with his pistol out of the alley. The small hood dressed in black street clothes quickly jumped into a black Fleetwood Cadillac. The driver drove off away from the murder scene towards the farthest safehouse location on the other side of town. The body would be found in the morning by the local homeless residents looking to get scraps from the local Italian restaurant that dominated the small alleyway..
The newspapers quickly printed the story about the death of Salvatore Falcone. He was considered a major criminal underworld figure in the city. His death would send waves through out the elements of La Costa Nostra and the cities many street gangs. The infamous mobster known as “Big Sal” by his friends and associates was a well known man of respect on the streets of this city. He had been involved in lot of jobs for the local Barlucchi family. This mobster was a man on the make; He had wealth, power, and respect. He however made one mistake; He started trying to muscle in on Little Rastoria.
The place called Grayson’s complex was a city industrial area. It was also home to over twenty thousand Rastorian residents mostly illegal immigrants seeking to avoid being targeted by the corporate conglomerate known as Lichencrest Industries. This massive corporation had successfully taken over the chaotic state of Rastoria and built their Corporate Dominion upon it. They targeted elements they deemed dangerous to their takeover these political idealists/dissidents, Union supporters and dissidents, and last but not least the criminal elements of the country.
These criminal elements quickly realized that they had to unite in order to survive being cast out of their home country. They formed their own international crime syndicate that spanned several million members all across the globe. These gangsters and mobsters quickly entrenched themselves in places where Rastorians immigrated such as this city.
The Rastorian Syndicate or Rastorian mob as it was called by local authorities immediately made their hand felt in Grayson’s complex. They started a massive crime wave of extortion, racketeering, drug dealing, and trafficking. Grayson’s complex eventually became a profitable enterprise to the local Italian crime families.
These Sicilian families started sending in their soldiers to start their own enterprises within Little Rastoria. The Kingpin of Little Rastoria, Dmitri Kormav decided this had to stop. The Rastorian Crime Boss sent his enforcers to send these Sicilian punks a message.
The message was written in blood and bullets as the enforcers started to target mafia associates and made men that started entering their turf. It was becoming a bloody affair and now the Italian Mafia would take notice a Capo was just whacked outside his own restaurant.
The word on the street was that the Five Families and the Rastorian Syndicate were going to the mattresses. The authorities, the common people, and most importantly key people within these organizations began to gear for such a turf war. The streets were going to be spilling blood within the week….
