Imitora

Ok, so its time again to try this one last time. The redundancy in that statement is, well, mind boggling. Anyways. I’m gonna try this one last time, a nice solid, well done, hopefully completed, street racing role play. You can consider this the sign up thread. However, there will be rules. This is Nation States, this isn’t Vietnam.
First, some OOC rules:
1. Please, I’m begging you, if you are going to get involved, at least have a grasp on how to use the English language. I’m not looking for English professors, I’m not looking for people who write for a living, I just mean, please, know how to spell and say what is going on. If, like me, you can’t spell for shit, then type up your post in word first. If your character speaks “street” or whatever type of slang, that’s fine, just put it in quotes. But do not type up the entire post in slang or leet or what ever it is.
2. No uber cars of doom. Really. I’m not saying you can’t have a fast car, I’m not saying you can’t even have a super car, but no 3 second daily driven race car that runs on alcohol and jet engines. If you want to use a car that is unique beyond a production run model, then just show me in some way shape or form that it is possible. Even remotely. I don’t mind, I’ve seen some really unique cars, so I’ll most likely approve it.
3. Do not even bother posting if you can’t post at least a paragraph. I want depth, I want character. I want this RP to go smoothly, and I also want it to be quality. I don’t want one word, one sentence, one line posts. Post what your character is thinking, what they want to do, what they feel when something happens.
4. I want characters with back stories, with motives, with reason to be where they are. If they aren’t Imitoran, then tell us why they came to Imitora, what brought them here, why the race, why they have their car, stuff like that. If you want to play as an Imitoran, then what brought them to racing, why do they race, stuff like that.
5. If you wanna play a naturalized Imitoran, please contact me beforehand, we need to work things out. I have no problem with it, but certain character traits need to be established.
6. Except for certain case by case situations…no vampires, no elves, no aliens, no robots, no uber soldiers, nothing like that. I want normal people. If your character is ex-military, its fine if they were special forces. However, if they have been training since they were two and can carry nine hundred machine guns with five thousand rounds for each while hiking up Mt. Everest backwards and naked while battling off the evil Zergs with a pocket knife…then no. Therefore, you can assume that I need to pretty much approve most characters, and cars. If you need any help with coming up with a car, just tell me.
7. I don’t want to hold everyone’s hand and guide you all through this. Please, feel free to interact with other characters, to get involved in story lines, make your own. As the GM, I want this RP to run smoothly and go easy, but I don’t want to moderate every and any little thing. So, make your own stories, have your own things going on, don’t expect me to do everything for you. Unless you want to make a major event, in which case you run it by me first, take your own actions. In case you over step your bounds a bit, I’ll inform you, but I wont kick you out or hold a grudge or make your life hell.
On to the IC rules:
1. The Imitoran street racing scene is heavily divided between the different styles. All the styles are accepted, but divided. Don’t expect to show up in some show car to the serious racers, and be well expected. On the same token, taking a one thousand wheel horse power Poopra to the subbed and dubbed SUVs will again end you in a world of problems.
2. Imitorans are not a group easily amused. It takes more than just flashing some cash and showing up in a hot car to get beyond a nod of notice from an Imitoran. Actions are really where it counts. Most Imitorans have “been there, done that, got the t-shirt, and signed up for the frequent visitors program.”
3. Bringing spies over will in turn bring in my counter intell types. You don’t want to deal with my counter intell types, so just don’t put yourself in that position.
4. As GM, I have the right to change, modify, or add rules at any time, most of which would only benefit the group.
So, start tossing up some characters, and lets see what we can get going!
