In conjunction with the start of the 2007 Sports Expo in Etres Vrais, the people are also hosting a Still-Photography Festival (SPF) this year, leading up to the opening of the games. Participants will receive free airfare on Etres Vrais Aero (EVA) to Saint-Marcie-sur-la-Plage, a lovely, picturesque coastal city, perfect for the blooming photographer...
**GUIDELINES:: Participants must submit their photographs by hosting them somewhere else (I would suggest Photobucket.com) and linking them in a post on this fourm. All photographs must be submitted by 12:00 MIDNIGHT EST on JANUARY 2, 2007! THERE IS NOT MUCH TIME, THIS IS A "SNAPSHOT" CONTEST!
**THEME:: This year, instead of giving a set theme, we are giving requirements. For your photograph's inspiration, you have the following words, INTENSE, ROYAL, PLACID, NATURAL, CALM, SERENE. Pick one of the words and the image that came into your head. Capture the photo on a digital camera or otherwise and submit it. ***ALL PHOTOS MUST BE ORIGINAL** There is no artistic ability is searching on Google!
**JUDGING:: Photos will be judged by a panel of judges from Etres Vrais. They will be critiqued on: CREATIVITY, HOW THEY CONVEYED THEIR WORD, ARTISTIC ABILITY (was the photo captured correctly, is it blurry?, etc.)
**ARTISTIC STATEMENT: Tell us BRIEFLY about your photograph! Why did you choose this snapshot? What is unique? **ALSO TELL US IF SOMETHING IS SUPPOSED TO BE BLURRY, ETC., so we don't penalize you!!**
