Californian President cursed beneath her breath at this recent string of litanies from legal organizations, companies and other organizations within the nation... several of which had shown utter rage at having to re-adopt the old 'Standard' calendar year... The 'Californian calendar' had been created in the year 2070 to differentiate itself from the United States of America. Upon addoption the calendar added 260 years to the calendar effectively making it the year 2330. Now after several problems had arisen from the use of the calendar, the government had finally made up its mind on the matter.

Californian President Jennifer Jourgensen issued a statement that day forbidding the use of the 'Californian calendar'. Immediately ever news station picked up on it broadcasting it throughout the nation, the headlines of several newspapers throught the nation had adopted catchy phrases for the current situation including the Los Angeles Times, which had "TIME WARP THROUGHOUT CALIFORNIA!!!" for their headline. The Californian President wasn't taking this too lightly... some former and disenfranchised allies as well as other nations California had relations with were looking to use this opportunity to shuck out of legally binding documents, treaties, pacts and alliances with California.

Making her an appearance on television, the she made her point succintly "Good evening, my fellow Californians. For many decades now we have been using a calendar that few have been brave enough to point out has infact inflated by 260 years. During the time we have used this calendar we have faced many a problem with nations outside our borders having several logical problems with our use of this calendar... and ever since we've unofficially reverted to the Standard calendar in the year 2259 we have had a slew of problems with friends, allies, and organizations of California. Even some of our more disenfranchized allies have been trying to use this reversion back to the Standard calender as an opportunity to regain former possessions of theirs by using a loophole provided by our re-adoption of the Standard calendar. So I have made up my mind to rectify this situation with a be all-end all solution.

Any and all treaties, pacts, other legal documents and alliances with California that have been signed during the period of time that we have used the 'Californian calendar' year are still active. From this point on any year onward beginning with the adoption of the 'Californian calendar' will be reverted to the Standard calendar year... starting with the date we adopted the calkendar which would have been the year 2330 which is infact the year 2070... This will effectively render our current year on the Standard Calendar as 2261. Thank You.

P.S., The Gulf States, in case you're reading this. With this post making official my explanation for the so-called "jump backward in time", the year on the Treaty St. John's henceforth reverts from the year 2506 to the year 2246. Which means that the Treaty of St. John's is still active. Thank you.
