Special Olympics Proposal | Discussion
The title really explains it all, what would you guys say to a 3 or 4 day event for the disabled peoples of your nations? It would make some goodwill roleplays, show the lighter side of people and be less extreme on people to roleplay. The most basic of Track and Field events would be covered for the first few Special Olympics and we'll see how it turns from there. I'd be happy to organize the first Special Olympics with a basic scorinator from the people on #nssport.
Oh yeah, Ikeeans need a chance to compete somewhere :P
I've been saying for a long while that Paralympics would be nice, so Special Olympics would get my support too.
Problem is, you need to find someone both able and willing to host them. Which is a huge amount of work.

Well I don't see why we can't make both. Not as long or big as the real Olympics, just something for the roleplayers of NS to play around with. Miss the Olympics? Why not send some athletes that aren't able-bodied and join in on the fun?
I'd be interested in this too. I've been wanting to get involved in some of the sport RPs, but always seem to miss their starting up.

I agree, but as I said, you'll need someone who's willing and able to take on that much work (hosting).
