"Well," said Edwina Bluff when Anna Kumble returned from the Q-Cup, "we have a problem."
"Problem, EB? Why?"
"Well, some of those youngsters really came off well under you...I liked the look of young Barnfield...and Matsushita was a bit of a firecracker..."
"But you can't be thinking of including them, surely? They're only 17 at most..."
"Well, why not blood them?"
"Where will you fit Matsushita, for a start? The Pets have pretty much locked midfield in the 3-5-2. With me and Tricia. I know she's injured, but...oh, no, please don't..."
"I'm not dropping you, Anna, but I think we need some fresh blood in assistance. What's wrong with having her in the squad? Some assistance for Cadman and the psycho..."
"I'm not sure about the discipline..."
"Oh, they were RAVING about it in the debrief! They say they've never had so much fun..."
"Yes, I'm still getting it out of my ears..."
"But they respected you and got on well with Foy. I'm seriously thinking of including a few of them..."
"Well, you're the boss..."
"At least for the time being..."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, you know I said we need fresh blood? Maybe that applies at the top as well..."
"Blimey...who would take over?"
"Well, Anna...you're not getting any younger..."

The CFFM president Ariella Grahna saw the group and started to comment with the new coach Melissa Araguaia.
ARIELLA - Do you see chances for us to advance in this group?
MELISSA - Why not? Four teams will continue, maybe we can do it, we have improved since last year, when I was the assistant coach.
ARIELLA - Yes, last year's coach Fabrício Barglaux resigned after fighting against me. He didn't understand why I was picking the players for him.
MELISSA - This job is like a dream for me. Thank you for giving me this chance.
ARIELLA - Sure, but you have to pick the players that I chose.
MELISSA - No problem, I'll release the list tomorrow.
After the WWC 6, the former coach Fabrício Barglaux had a fight with Ariella Grahna and resigned. Then, the assistant coach Melissa Araguaia got his place. The team will probably have lots of players from last cup's team, but newcomers will arrive. Many players changed their clubs, as Clube Imperial started to spend lots of money to become a new force in women football. The team will get prepared to the competition.
Estresse Intenso
11-12-2006, 00:04
The doors of the Institute were going to be open. Finnaly some internal could leave the only secure place of the whole country, but only occupied by crazy people that have succumbed to the stress and became desperated and their doctors and staff. The best 23 women in football and the doctors are going to go to Noremark...
INSIDE THE INSTITUTE LANDAU
The director of the Institute, Doctor Rogério Landau was preparing the list with the 23 lucky women. The coach of the National Team, a famous psychiatrist, Doctor Ivana Sanidad, made some changes and showed them to Landau. He accepted and they will show the list tomorrow. Then, they started to talk about the group:
1. Ariddia (11)
2. Commerce Heights (UR)
3. Estresse Intenso (UR)
4. Green Wombat (17)
5. Qazox (1)
6. Sativaville (12)
"So, are you ready to coach all these mad patients and make them play football in such an important competition?"
"I'm sure I can make it. They still aren't completely calm, but they are improving and soon the stress will have no more effects on them."
"Good to hear this. But after so many years inside the institute, do you think that they will adapt well living a normal life?"
"Our staff will be looking at them, no need to worry. They will take their medicines at the right time, we'll control them."
"I hope so. I don't want to see any mad woman out of control. Our job is this: control them. That's why the Institute is a safe place, the place where all Estresse Intenso's athletes will come from."
"I know, Doctor Landau. You won't regret giving us this chance."
"Good luck, doctor. The life outside the Institute isn't easy, and you know this."
"Yes, we live in an anarchy."
"The Institute is the only place where people can find peace, although they are already crazy."

IC
Jeruselem's womens team (called the Angels, but they aren't angels at all)
Style = +1 (4-4-2)
It's 4-4-2 but it's really 4-2-2-2
Some of the schoolgirl team from the Q-Cup come in to replace retirees. No Dazza!
Coach - John Jerk, WWC5 and 6 coach
Reporter - Rashina Dallas (Dazza got herself pregnant again)
GK Jihad Jane, 28 - She's nuts. It's Holy war if you score a goal against her. Nothing get past the goal line without a fight.
GK Debbie O'Hare , 17 - Q-Cup I player. Hero on one game and fought her way into the team despite her frail emotion nature
DEF - Asha Mosha, 25 - Spends a lot of time standing around goal posts because she's tall.
DEF - Maggie Thatcher, 16 - Q-Cup I player. TOUGH girl, the iron lady of defense.
DEF - Frinzie Frodo, 16 - Q-Cup I player. The clown of the team which indecent jokes at Rashina's expense.
DEF - Stuka Bomba, 30 - Little German girl who crashed into defenses when you least expect it. Doesn't like too much attention from opposing defenders though.
DEF - Silly Filly, 20 - Small girl with little going except she tries 200%. Lack of skill is her problem but she never gives up at all.
DEF - Rashina Dallas, 23 - One of Debbie Dallas's daughters. Another Dallas girl to terrorise the women's soccer world. Professional gymnast before following Dazza into the soccer field. CAPTAIN, Q-CUP captain too as Dazza can't play when she's having kids.
MID - Faith Fumbles, 19 - Distant relative of Dazza Dalllas's husband. Someone who can trust to do a job without fuss or drama.
MID - Monique Alexander, 16 - 16, Q-Cup I player. Likes sex, lots of it like Dazza. Models with some mob who do pr0n.
* MID - Farrah Sheba, 29 - Megababe! Does modelling on the side.
MID - Sassani Alba Fa Jihad, 32, plays everygame like it's holy war. Prone to red cards
MID - Slepie Head, 17 - Q-Cup I player. Sleeps a lot during the day, but no sleepie head during the game. Like a mobile phone type girl.
* MID - Mousi, 33. Single name player. Quiet as a mouse, the quiet achiever on the team. VICE CAPTAIN.
STK - Lindsay Lohan, 24 - Name of an actress and she is one on the field as well. Has some skill when she tries.
STK - Cue Epie, 27 - A dumb version of Dazza Dallas without the personality. Skillful but sometimes need a whack in the head to get a message.
STK - Natasha Greski, 17, Q-Cup I player. Lethal left foot to the ball and people she doesn't like.
* STK - Bobina Grosso, 28 - Tall striker who make life really hard for short people.
* Retiring players
<<AND>>>
<<Pretty much anything excepting death, destruction and red cards. No RPing Rashina as well but you can make her a goal scorer. Comments about Rashina's lack of inhibition is fine - just do it>>

Womens World Cup 7 - Cafundeu's chosen 23:
Nickname: The Golden Girls
See the 23 players:
Goalkeepers:
1-CAROLINE Frescho (Team: Atlético Jutense)
Height: 190cm - Weight: 62kg - Age: 30 years old
After a year, she continues playing very well and the supporters still know that she can help the team a lot. She still has a lot of resistance and is still good in saving penalties. Has good form and morale and continues to play in the same team.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: B - Morale: A - Form: A
PLAYED THE WWC 6
12-DENISE Marçal Pelenghi (Team: Clube Imperial)
Height: 186cm - Weight: 70kg - Age: 22 years old
A newcomer in the National Team, Denise has been playing well for Clube Imperial, the oldest team of the country, which is beginning to became bigger, signing very good players. She has good reflexes, but became too nervous when playing important games, but is a great player for the team, and is very nice with the other players.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: C
22-JULIANA MELLO (Team: SC Lasft)
Height: 186cm - Weight: 66kg - Age: 20 years old
Isn't a great goalkeeper, but plays very well, having good performances and never making bad mistakes. She also is very happy with her current life and her form is good. But her talent is lower than the ability of the other goalkeepers of the National Team. But maybe she can play in the next World Cups.
Rating: C - Team Relationship: B - Morale: A - Form: A
Right Defenders:
2-VANESSA Van Tocco (Team: Clube Imperial)
Height: 178cm - Weight: 58kg - Age: 22 years old
The niece of the emperor signed this year for the rich Clube Imperial. Still very obedient, professional and offensive, isn't very liked by her team mates. But it's the first choice of the coach for the right-back position, and has improved since the last WWC.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: D - Morale: B - Form: A
PLAYED THE WWC 6
15-LUANA Hissenfeller Sawini (Team: Penders)
Height: 177cm - Weight: 57kg - Age: 21 years old
One of the most talkative members of the new National Team, Luana made friends in all the clubs that she passed(only two). Now she is one of the best players of Penders and a very good option for the country. She is very fast and has a good passing and dribbling, but doesn't finishes and tackles a lot. She is still a bit immature, and became nervous in important matches.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: B
Left Defenders:
6-Marcela Alves Nogueira "RAPOSA" (Team: SC Lasft)
Height: 160cm - Weight: 50kg - Age: 21 years old.
Substitute of Gabriela Tamarov in the WWC 6, she impressed the whole country with very good performances and is now very famous. Changed clubs with Gabriela and took her place in the starting team. She is still very fast and can create good plays only touching the ball once.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: A
PLAYED THE WWC 6
13-GABRIELA Tamarov (Team: Dunboor FC)
Height: 168cm - Weight: 62kg - Age: 31 years old.
Lost the place in the first team after playing very bad, but she is still in the NT. Changed clubs with Raposa, and since it is having a time of very poor performances, the worst of her whole career. She crosses the ball a lot and still doesn't obey the coach very much.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: C - Morale: C - Form: D
PLAYED THE WWC 6
Central Defenders:
3-Joana Guglielmi Moreira "MORENA" (Team: Atlético Jutense)
Height: 175cm - Weight: 63kg - Age: 26 years old.
Will try to correct the worst point of Cafundéu's NT: the defense. After Cris left the team for personal problems, the defense was never the same, surely the weak point of the squad. But she is a very experienced and secure, and can help her team mates with her tactic knowledge. She isn't as good as Cris, but is in a good form and anxious to play. She shots well and tackles well, and has some ability in the other areas. Still isn't very famous.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: A - Form: A
4-BEATRIZ Caravelas (Team: Submiria)
Height: 170cm - Weight: 60kg - Age: 24 years old
The twin sister of the midifielder Nanda still hasn't changed teams since last year. Got a place in the main team and is still the same, liking to clear the ball as soon as she get it. The less talkative of the team.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: B
PLAYED THE WWC 6
20-REBECCA SANCHEZ de Oliveira (Team: SC Lasft)
Height: 190cm - Weight: 70kg - Age: 28 years old
Sanchez is very violent, considered a monster in the field, but she do her job well, playing good games. Likes to be the last defender and is very good on one on ones, tackling easily the ball, but with poor passing, dribbling and finishing. Doesn't have a good relationship with the press and with the team mates, but can play some games.
Rating: C - Team Relationship: C - Morale: C - Form: A
21-SARAH Ohmar Águas (Team: Dunboor FC)
Height: 164cm - Weight: 56kg - Age: 23 years old
A fast and dangerous player, who likes to attack. She's short, but she can use her head to score goals and help the team, as she can jump very well. Her tackling isn't great, but she has good passing and dribbling, and a normal finishing. Her abilities aren't very good for a defender, but she fights a lot for the ball and because of that plays well in the defense. Also appears a lot in the media because of her personal life.
Rating: C - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: B
Defensive Midfielders:
5-LETÍCIA Cabral Olivieri (Team: Clube Imperial)
Height: 165cm - Weight: 50kg - Age: 23 years old
Still a star in the country's football, Letícia is a good weapon for the team. Can easily create plays and goal chances and make good passes. One of the beautiful women of the country, she is a model and is very famous inside and outside the field.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: B - Morale: A - Form: A
PLAYED THE WWC 6
16-VIVIANE PAQUETÁ (Team: Atlético Jutense)
Height: 165cm - Weight: 55kg - Age: 25 years old
After a quiet year, when she was involved in few confusions and hasn't made a very good year playing football. She still likes to control the ball and doesn't like to attack. Lately has for has been improving and she can be fit for the competition.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: B
PLAYED THE WWC 6
23-ALESSANDRA Pedrosa Refort (Team: Espinalense)
Height: 172cm - Weight: 61kg - Age: 33 years old
An experienced player, Alessandra is ready to help the team with her game knowledge and her long passes, the best of the team. She also is good in shooting from outside the area and to tackle, but can't dribble very well. Is reaching the end of her career and because of that her talent is limited.
Rating: C - Team Relationship: A - Morale: C - Form: B
Neutral Midfielders:
8-ALICE Alvarenga Moura (Team: Clube Imperial)
Height: 170cm - Weight: 60kg - Age: 21 years old
3 times winner of the prize of best midfielder of Cafundéu, went to Clube Imperial too in a millionaire contract, refusing an offer from Dunboor FC. She is very intelligent and can make perfect plays and dribbles. She now is happy with her life and can do her best.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: A
PLAYED THE WWC 6
17-JOSEANE Moreira Falcus Makas (Team: SC Lasft)
Height: 180cm - Weight: 65kg - Age: 29 years old
Got a major transfer to SC Lasft, and is the same player that played the WWC last year. Good in long passes and in tackling, but poor in short passes. Is the wife if the president of CCFM Samuel Makas and doesn't like the new coach.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: C - Morale: C - Form: A
PLAYED THE WWC 6
Attacking Midfielders:
7-Fernanda Caravelas "NANDA" (Team: Submiria)
Height: 172cm - Weight: 62kg - Age: 24 years old
The twin sister of Beatriz, she is the expert in set pieces. With good abilities she is one of the most liked players by the coach. She is avoiding the press and rejecting offer from bigger teams to have a more quiet life.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: B
PLAYED THE WWC 6
11-FERNANDA Xavier GARCIA (Team: Dunboor FC)
Height: 171cm - Weight: 65kg - Age: 22 years old
The best player of the whole team, the "Dribble Machine" humiliates her opponents with beautiful dribbles and plays, controlling the ball very well. She likes to create goal chances to her partners.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A
PLAYED THE WWC 6
14-Denise SOUTO MAIOR (Team: Clube Imperial)
Height: 178cm - Weight: 72kg - Age: 24 years old
Souto Maior is one of the most strange players of the team. She only use black clothes and lives in a small house, where she trains every day. She is a nice and quiet person, and when she is playing she impresses with good shots and passes, but her dribbling isn't so good. Can be one of the surprises of this competition.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: C - Morale: C - Form: A
Attackers:
9-ANA LAURA Lopes Veller (Team: Clube Imperial)
Height: 174cm - Weight: 58kg - Age: 24 years old
Signed with Clube Imperial this year. The top scorer of the last 3 national leagues, with more than 200 goals in 300 games, she is the most dangerous players of the team in terms of scoring. Is on top form and has a good relationship with the media.

PLAYED THE WWC 6
10-ANA PAULA Tobiashiy Klaeigh (Team: SC Lasft)
Height: 175cm - Weight: 60kg - Age: 28 years old
Good at heading and in dribbling, she is more creative than Ana Lopes, but can't score so many goals. Ana Paula is very good at heading. Good in dribbling too. She very loyal to her team and because of that the fans love her, but is a bit arrogant.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: A - Form: A
PLAYED THE WWC 6
18-ZÉLIA Vilela Lacerda de Jesus (Team: Atlético Jutense)
Height: 162cm - Weight: 62kg - Age: 32 years old
Didn't recovered the old form, but improved her ability, with better passes and shots, and good dribbles. She has a good positioning. Is trying to recover the old form and is slowly improving, and this WC is a good chance for it.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: C
PLAYED THE WWC 6
19-MARIA LÚCIA Batatais (Team: Atlético Jutense)
Height: 175cm - Weight: 60kg - Age: 19 years old
Bought by Atlético Jutense to replace Ana Laura, this young player has lot of things to learn, but is impressing everyone with her clinical finishes. Her dribbling and passing aren't perfect, but she can even takes free kicks. The media has a lot of interest in how well this young girl will play.
Rating: C - Team Relationship: B - Morale: A - Form: B
Staff:
Coach: MELISSA ARAGUAIA (Former assistant coach)

One of the best coaches of Cafundéu, Melissa has an enormous experience that can help a lot the National Team. Was the coach of Penders until 2005, when she was invited by the CFFC to help Barglaux to build the team, and now took his place as the coach. Height: 187cm - Weight: 92kg - Age: 58 years old
Has a lot of experience training young players and wants to help Melissa. He can improve the morale of the players very easy, as he is extremely fun. But when the players are playing, he wants them giving all their efforts, and shouts a lot from the bench. When the referee makes a mistake, he becomes very nervous and scares lots of referees.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Confidence: B
Spy and Physical Trainer: XAVIER Jordão Jacarezinho (Former SC Lasft)
Height: 202cm - Weight: 98kg - Age: 34 years old
Former physical trainer of SC Lasft, "The black monster", as he is called by his friends and by the press, is very good in helping the players to get in shape. He is very friendly and is friend of all the players and the directors. He is very intelligent too and can help the coach with many other things. His family didn't want to see him travelling to another country, but he wanted to take this opportunity.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: C - Confidence: B
Entertainer: SERGINHO MALLANDRO (Former TV Gazeta)
Height: 175cm - Weight: 88kg - Date of Birth: ???(above 40 years old)
The players and the staff need to be relaxed to play all the games. So, Serginho Mallandro's job is to make jokes, play games and help to make everybody happy. Sometimes he can be a bit annoying with his phrases like "Glu-glu", or "Bilu-bilu tetéia" and other ones, and even the directors don't like him very much, but he will stay with the NT.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: E - Morale: A - Confidence: E
Doctor: Dra. CECÍLIA KALAMARES (Former Juta Hospital)
Height: 172cm - Weight: 68kg - Age: 47 years old
One of the most famous doctors in Cafundéu, Cecília is well paid and got this well deserved position. Is ready to take care of any injured player or member of the staff(many times Serginho Mallandro when someone gets irritated with him). She has some assistants that can help her too, including the masseur Tonho Dozorno.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Confidence: A
(Obs: Ratings and the other stats were only made to compare the stats of the players between my team)
About RP, you can do whatever you want, but nothing too serious, like death and serious injuries.
The formation: Barglaux has 2 options of formations:
-The first one(most probably used) is to use a 3-5-2 putting Viviane in the defense and using the right and left backs as midfielders. It's a more offensive strategy but the quality can decrease. Style of +2(with wing-backs attacking) or -1(with wing-backs defending) See:
--------------------Caroline--------------------
-------Morena---Viviane Paquetá-------Beatriz---
--Vanessa-----------Letícia------------Raposa---
---------Fernanda Garcia-------Alice------------
-----------Ana Laura----------Ana Paula--------
-The second is to use a basic 4-4-2 using the best players of the team, but with lesser use of tactics. Fernanda Garcia can go to attack, changing it to a 4-3-3. Style of +1(4-4-2) or +2(4-3-3). The 4-4-2 will be used in the first game(Style of +1) See:
--------------------Caroline--------------------
--Vanessa-----Morena--------Beatriz----Raposa---
--------------------Letícia---------------------
----------Nanda----------------Alice-----------
---------------Fernanda Garcia------------------
----------Ana Laura------------Ana Paula-------

LANDAU INSTITUTE'S LUCKY WOMEN
23 lucky women won the right to leave the Institute for some time to play football. Here they are:
Goalkeepers:
1- Tamires ZVEITEL: Zveitel is a good goalkeeper, tall and strong. Her stress level is low, the stress make her shout sometimes without reason, but she is well controlled. The Institute's doctors think that she is one of the most talented players of the teams.
Age: 22 years old
Years in the Institute: 8
13- Berenice Frios SOFT: Soft is shorter than Zveitel, but has the same ability. Her problem is serious, one of the worst in the team. She thinks that every clown wants to kill her, and avoids them. Her control is more difficult.
Age: 30 years old
Years in the Institute: 28
23- Francisca IGELEN: Igelen isn't a good goalkeeper, but she was chosen because she can control herself without use of medicines. The stress made her obsessed with grass, so she only sleeps on grass.
Age: 18 years old
Years in the Institute: 7
Wing-Backs:
2- Antonieta YEYTS: Yeyts is obsessed with cleaning. She becomes very angry with everybody who complains about it, she wants to clean everything. She likes to use the right side of the field, and can run very fast.
Age: 28 years old
Years in the Institute: 2
3- Raquel POLSTER-HEICH: Raquel has a serious problem. She hates food, and doesn't want to eat or drink anything. Because of that the doctors have to make her sleep to give some nutrients by a probe. She doesn't remember how the life is outside the Institute. Likes the left wing.
Age: 21 years old
Years in the Institute: 20
20- Leandra AMARO: Amaro doesn't have a serious problem. She only fears the loneliness, and wants somebody near her everytime. But she is a gentle person. Can play in both sides of the field.
Age: 30 years old
Years in the Institute: 15
21- Maria Eduarda CLUDENT: Cludent has double personality. The strange thing is that both of them play football well, although one plays in the right side and another in the left side. Both personalities are very similar, but one can't stand the other.
Age: 18 years old
Years in the Institute: 6
Centre-Backs:
4- Jurema EVERENKE: Everenke became so nervous because of the stress that, without her medicines, she starts to fight with everybody who touches her. She is trying to control it, but she doesn't seem to improve.
Age: 25 years old
Years in the Institute: 12
5- Carlota TERCART: Tercart has amnesia. This happened because of the intense work that she was doing. An interesting fact is that if she do somehting now, she will forget it seven days later, no matter what it was. This is very difficult to control, since she can forget important things, but the medicines can make she remember some selected things, like play football.
Age: 27 years old
Years in the Institute: 13
12- Priscila LAFERRO: Laferro is kleptomaniac. The medicines don't make much effect. Inside the Institute it wasn't a serious problem, but now in Noremark it can give problems to her, so the doctors will be looking what she'll make.
Age: 18 years old
Years in the Institute: 2
14- Ivana NOVAES: Novaes is paranoic. After discussing with her last boyfriend, he started to go after her until she entered in the Institute. After that, she thinks that her boyfriend is in every place that she goes, and the doctors need to control her.
Age: 23 years old
Years in the Institute: 4
Defensive Midfielders:
6- Cíntia FONDERSON: Fonderson has a very strange mood. She can't show her feelings and becomes angry or happy with no reasons. She likes to play football and when she's playing the mood changes stop, without the need of medicines. Because of that she can be one of the most important players of the team.
Age: 20 years old
Years in the Institute: 14
8- Aline GHABAD: Ghabad sees things that doesn't exist. They are different things, sometimes are aliens, then ghosts. If she doesn't take her medicines, she can be distracted during the game by her visions. Luckily she know that they aren't real, but can't take her eyes out of them, looking at them with interest,
Age: 31 years old
Years in the Institute: 22
16- Carla HISSENFELDER: Hissenfelder is too anxious and hiperactive. Everytime she is doing something, maybe two or three things at the same time. In the field she is very fast and even when she isn't with the ball she is still running.
Age: 19 years old
Years in the Institute: 5
22- Valéria KOHLMEIR: Kohlmeir fears all insects, mainly spiders and ants. When she sees an insect, she stay quiet and scared, and doesn't move when she is still seeing it. She only returns to move when the insect leaves.
Age: 28 years old
Years in the Institute: 16
Offensive Midfielders:
7- Rafaela MAULNUS: Is completely sane, without any stress. Because of that doesn't need to control herself and doesn't need to take any medicines. She is also an excellent player, very good in set pieces, dribbling and finishing. She is the captain of the team and is very disciplined.
Age: 23 years old
Years in the Institute: since birth
11- Rachel SERRANO: It's the daughter of Gwen Serrano, who was also good in football. But like her mother, Serrano is antisocial and doesn't talk to anybody that she doesn't know. With her team mates and with the doctors she speaks, but very little. She has a very good relationship with the coach, who is trying to help her.
Age: 27 years old
Years in the Institute: since birth
15- Keyla ESTIFF: Estiff doesn't believe in nothing. If you tell her something, she won't believe, even if you prove. With her medicines, she can accept some things, like "your team is the white one" and "you need to shoot in that goal", but only if the doctors say it.
Age: 21 years old
Years in the Institute: 9
18- Nathália SAN JERLO: San Jerlo loves fire. After causing fires in more than 5 building, she went to the institute, where she sometimes causes a fire too. With the medicines she stops to want to put fire on something, but she continues to appreciate the fire and things burning. Outside the Institute she could be arrested, as she killed many people in her fires.
Age: 26 years old
Years in the Institute: 15
Attackers:
9- Silvana DE VRUM: De Vrum worships Landau. Yes, she thinks that the director of the Institute is a god and that the Institute is his temple. Everytime she prays for him and considers herself his highest nun. She creates rituals to increase the power of her "god". Landau seems to like that, and because of that De Vrum doesn't take any medicine.
Age: 24 years old
Years in the Institute: 22
10- Sabrina QUASTER: Quaster is beautiful, and because of that she thinks that her body is the most important thing of the entire world. She is extremely cautious, using lots of protections to play football and doesn't want to get hurt.
Age: 18 years old
Years in the Institute: 4
17- Stephany CATARY: Catary believes that she is a robot. She obey all the doctor's commands and her answers to certain questions seem all the same. When she walks, she makes a strange noise, and before the start of the game, she says something like "starting football mode".
Age: 32 years old
Years in the Institute: 13
19- Catarina BARCELLOS: Barcellos has depression. She needs the help of the doctors and some medicines. But she likes to play football and is starting to have a better relationship with her team mates. The doctors think that in 3 years she will recover.
Age: 22 years old
Years in the Institute: 4
COACH: Doctor Ivana Sanidad: Sanidad is a psychiatrist who helps most of these girls inside the Landau Institute. She has Landau's confidence and will control the players to play football.
Age: 51 years old
Landau also sent many other doctors to help the team, working as physical trainer, spy, doctor and other jobs.
The Formation: 4-5-1 Style of -1(used in the first game):

(ooc: To all
I have just realized that I have made a BIG HUGE FREAKIN error in the rankings. New Montreal States should have the Following pts and rank: 3.720 Rank of #10. I apologize to NMS especially, and to all of the other competors. as well. )
(Yes i know the rankings have been up for about 2 weeks, but i just caught it when i saw NR next to NMS in the group draw. Once again i apologize and blame my humanity)
ooc: I Believe the same is true for algal states, I should have 3.230 pts and be ranked 16th.
ic: The Algal Sports federation will release the roster shortly.

In the end it was injuries that helped to force Edwina Bluff's hand. No Yates and no Hunt meant replacements were needed.
And why not delve into the Little Tits?
Bluff picked a squad with an eye on the future. Laura Jones and Honey Weeks were out; Lucinda Rhodes nearly so but kept in for her experience with the 3 at the back. Zoe Pike was playing more in the middle at Petersfield which suited Bluff fine as she could take the number 3 shirt but behave as a left back.
Kathy Jackson, who was demanding to be called Asmodea or Az, was playing anywhere along the back line in the League, so she would be an excellent utility.
And how could the charms of little Luisa Matsushita be ignored?
1 Anne Foy, 30, goalkeeper, Esford Dynamo
2 Rachel Horne, 28, right-back, Newchurch Angels
3 Zoe Pike, 20, left-back, Petersfield
4 Anna Kumble, 31, midfield, Oldfield Borough
5 Lucinda Rhodes, 33, centre-half, Warpstone
6 Becky Stephens, 21, midfield, Petterham
7 Gwennie Saunders, 23, midfield, Petterham
8 Stacey Cadman, 27, midfield, Warpstone
9 Thalia Pellegrini, 27, centre-forward, Newchurch Angels
10 Kaz Flack, 21, centre-forward, Esford Dynamo
11 Rosie Dougall, 20, midfield, Petterham
12 Kirsten Cassidy, 20, goalie, Oldhill Academy
13 Conchita Quddus, 26, right-back, Petersfield
14 Az Jackson, 16, centre-half, Petterham
15 Sammie Grady, 22, centre-half, Oldhill Academy
16 Imelda Davies, 23, midfield, Oldhill Academy
17 Nella Horner, 16, centre-forward, Oldfield
18 Ellie Beavan, 27, left-back, Oxton
19 Sally Summers, 17, midfield, Northmere
20 Leigh Fraser, 20, midfield, Oldhill Academy
21 Katie Barnfield, 17, centre-forward, Oldhill Academy
22 Lisa Clark, 17, goalie, Bailey Street
99 Luisa Matsushita, 17, midfield, St Elmo’s
The main controversy concerned the kit. Royal blue as per, but with a bold silver sash across the shirt. Representing the runners-up finish at the previous World Cup.
An act of hubris, according to some. "No," explained Edwina Bluff. "I want them to look at their shirt and their team-mates' shirts and realize that they were second. First losers. It is a motivation for them to take that one step further..."

Lake Porter Sun
Covering the Women's World Cup for 28 years.
Well its looks like the Lady Oxen recovered from their horrible showing at the 1st Q-Cup where they were beaten not once but twice against today's opponent Green Wombat.
The Lady Oxen came out ready to roll, while the Ermines seemed complacent as Saundra Marci Harris, in her 1st start, scored just 4 minutes in the match, and that would be all Qazox needed. The Ermines quickly went down the pitch looking for an equalizer, but Gidget Zingarelli, also in her 1st start, proved up to the task deflecting 3 shots away.
The second goal came admist controversy as replays clearly showed Denise Vinson offsides, but no flag was raised so the goal stood as Qazox took a 2-0 lead in the 43rd minute.
Green Wombat's coach protested the match, during the half, but to little avail. Stefany Heisel added to her goal record in the 57th minute and Sonja Clay added the last goal in the 70th making it 4-0.
Overall an impressive win over a team that many had thought would contend for the group title, but if the Lady Oxen play the rest of the tourney like they did today, Jeruselem won't be the only team with back-to-back championships.

DAILY WOMBATIAN
Tough loss today for the Ermines as they were creamed by the defending champs from Qazox 4-0. The Ermines seemed too confident after their 2 wins agaisnt Qazox in the Q-Cup, and the Lady Oxen seemed ready to right those losses right away.
A poor start, but with the rest of the group either being newcomers or middle of the pack teams, the Ermines still have a shot at qualifing for the next round. But overcoming a -4 goal differential could be too much.
Here's the roster:
The Ermines will play a 3-4-3 with a +2.

SATIVAVILLE STONER
How Many Licks Does It Take to Get to The Center of a Tootsie Roll Pop?
A good showing today for the Lady Stoners as they held off a tougher than expected Estresse Intenso. Su Mathe, as is her wont, scored the winning goal in the 36th minute, but a hard tackle by E.I's Raquel Polster-Heich in the 60th minute, drew no card, but Su Mathe had to be taken out of a match for the 1st time. After the match, Head Coach Andrea Childress- Turner had this to say about Su's injury:
"It's a ***-damn shame that players like that Polster-Heich have to resort to injuring opponents in order to play defense. Right now Su' is having her leg checked out, and we hope that it is only a sprain or a strain, and not broken."
We do have an Update on Su Mathe's condition, and its not good, as she has broken two metatarsals in her foot. She is expected to miss the rest of the qualifing round, but migh be back for the Knock-out brackets, if we advance that far. Apolonia Santone will take Su's palce in the starting lineup for our next match against Commerce Heights.

OOC Since when does 2 - 0 = 3? :p , I get 1.5X?
<Cute brunette on camera>
"Hello folks, this is Rashina Dallas at the Women's World Cup 7 in Noremark! If you are used to Dazza doing her stuff, she's at home being a Mum and also quite pregnant. So I'm taking over reporting duties as well as the captaincy. I was the Q-CUP captain where we lost to Yafor 2 in the final. Qazox are defending champions here so we want that cup back, and it's my job to do it. We are in the Northern Group where we have Northern weather too, it's cold but I've been too colder places. In our group there's Haraki and Rordia, as well the hosts Noremark. Toranat are here too and then some team called Dumania. No, I'm not making these names up."
<Adjusts her dress>
"Sorry, I'm new at this. Standing in front billions of people, something Dazza does everyday and she's not even worried. Today's results. The hosts Noremark started with a bang - beating Rordia TWO ONE. The poor old Rordian team have not been doing well lately and well the host got the better of them today, and maybe a host might win this cup. It's never happened. No hosts have won a cup they have hosted. With cups going to Jeruselem, Qazox and Liverpool England - it's ironic only one of these teams have hosted a cup, and the Terminator chicks have won the cup in another nation. Current count, Jeruselem 3, Qazox 2, Liverpool England 1. History is against hosts winning unless maybe Jeruselem or Qazox decide to host."
<smiles>
"Hosts win but then Haraki were expected to beat Dumania. Didn't happen! Dumania - got one point with a 2 all draw. Very interesting game showing even new teams can show up veterans like Haraki! Not the start Haraki wanted with Jeruselem and Rordia in this group"
"Now, to our game. Toranat belongs to Quakmybush, a former host of this cup where we won. We've played them before and they know what they are up against, even minus a certain Dazza Dallas. But then you have me! Well, Jeruselem kicked off in style with a TWO NIL win to top the group taking advantage of the Haraki draw. It wasn't our best game as the new team had to put in some Q-CUP schoolgirls but the team did the job. OK, at times thing looked shaky but the girls kicked on and got the points - 3 points. All is well so far."
YAP YAP as my aunties calls it. Now, a lot of people ask where the hell does this talent come from in the Dallas family. Captains of the women's team include me, Dazza and of course, Mum, Debbie Dallas. As you all know, my grandmother was an immigrant - we worked the streets of Jeruselem before marrying a client, err, Dad. You say - a bunch of whores! But before that, she was a gymast before things went all bad. That's why us Dallas girls are so flexible although Dazza is the Miss Bendy. Helps with other things like ... you know what I mean."
"That's it from me. As Auntie says Sweet Dreams"
Noremark 2-1 Rordia
Dumania 2-2 Haraki
Jeruselem 2-0 Toranat
Noremark 2-1 Rordia
Dumania 2-2 Haraki
Jeruselem 2-0 Toranat

CAFUNDÉU’S WOMEN DEFEAT ALGAL STATES
In a difficult game, the girls of Cafundéu defeated Algal States’ National Team with a simple win. The goal was scored by the lethal Ana Laura, in the beginning of the second half. It was a calm game, with good goal chances for both teams but with a lot of respect and professionalism.
THE GAME
The game started with side attacks and lots of long passes. Both teams were trying to reach their main strikers and to shoot only when the player was already inside the area. 6th minute: Ana Paula dribbled a defender and passed to the right side of the field. Vanessa got the ball and crossed to Alice, who headed to the goal. Unfortunately, the goalkeeper of Algal States saved.
11th minute: Cafundéu attacked again, this time with Fernanda Garcia. She invaded the area and shot, but the ball hit the post and left the playing field. 15th minute: Algal States had a good chance. The midfielder dribbled a defender and passed to the main attacker of the team, who shot. Caroline made a great save. After these missed chances, both teams started to hold more the ball waiting for the best moment to score.
22nd minute: Algal States’ midfielder tried to score from a long range shot, but Morena headed the ball to a corner. After the corner Caroline got the ball. 25th minute: Viviane Paquetá made a good play in the right side of the field and passed to Letícia. She waited some moments to send the ball to the attack. Ana Laura invaded the area and shot, but the ball hit the post.
29th minute: Algal States shot the ball directly to the goal from a free kick. The goalkeeper saved. 34th minute: Alice created a good chance passing the ball to Fernanda Garcia in a good position. She dribbled two defenders and shot, but the goalkeeper saved. 38th minute: Raposa received the ball from Vanessa and passed to Ana Paula, who dribbled a defender and shot, but the ball went wide.
43rd minute: Beatriz Caravelas lost the ball inside her own area, the attacker dribbled her again and shot, but the ball went over the bar. In the last minutes of the first half both teams stopped to attack with strength and started to wait for the end of the half, wanting to start better the second half after talking with the coach.
Melissa put Luana in Viviane Paquetá’s place and Joseane in Raposa’s place. In the second minute of the second half, Cafundéu scored. Joseane took the ball that a defender was holding and passed to Ana Laura. She shot and scored the goal. After the goal, Algal States tried to attack, but Melissa’s formation was well made and the defense was prepared to avoid suffering goals.
9th minute: After a shot that hit a defender, an attacker of Algal shot, but the ball went over the bar. 14th minute: Vanessa passed to Letícia, who passed a long ball to the attack. Ana Laura couldn’t hold it, and lost a ball while she was trying to dribble two defenders. 20th minute: Algal attacked with three players. After many passes, one of the attackers made a weak shot, and Caroline could hold the ball easily.
25th minute: Luana took the ball from an attacker and started the attack. She ran all the field, reaching the attack dribbling many players, and crossed to the area. Ana Paula headed, but missed the goal. Cafundéu was comfortable with the result and started to hold the ball, doesn’t attacking very much. Algal States was trying to score, but the defense was doing a great job in protecting the goal.
33rd minute: Algal had a corner. An attacker headed before Morena, but Caroline made the best save of the entire game. Melissa put Souto Maior in Alice’s place. 37th minute: Fernanda Garcia received the ball from Souto Maior, dribbled two defenders and invaded the area. Then she passed to Ana Laura, who dribbled the goalkeeper and shot, but a defender saved kicking the ball before it enter in the goal.
40th minute: Algal had the last chance, but the attacker sent the ball wide. 45th minute: Souto Maior received the ball from Luana and shot from outside the area, but the ball went far away from the goal. After 90 minutes of a difficult game, Cafundéu defeated Algal States. Ana Laura said: “A difficult game, but we got this marvelous result. If we win more two games, I think we can get a place in the next phase.”
The coach Melissa was confident: “We’re more than ready to go to the second phase. We are strong and this game showed it. We’ll fight to win the next games and finish in a good position in the group. If we reach the second phase, it’ll be like a new championship for us, and we’ll try to win it, too.”

BE CALM NEWSPAPER: ESTRESSE INTENSO FIGHTS, BUT LOSES
The Landau Institute’s team played the first game of its history against Sativaville. After 30 minutes of a hard game, with many chances for both teams, Estresse Intenso suffered the goal. Before the goal, the Institute’s team had chances with Yeyts(shooting from outside the area), Maulnus(dribbling two defenders and shooting, but the ball hit the post), Serrano(heading after a corner) and De Vrum(in an individual play).
But Sativaville was stronger, and could find breaches in the defensive style of Estresse Intenso’s formation. After 30 minutes of pressure, Su Mathe invaded the area, dribbled Tercart and Polster-Heich and shot, scoring the goal. The last 15 minutes of the first half continued with Sativaville pressing Estresse Intenso’s defense. The Insitute’s players tried to scored, but couldn’t break the enemy’s defense.
The second half started slower, with fewer goal chances than the first half, but still very exciting. Estresse Intenso even had some chances, one with Polster-Heich, shooting after a rebound, and other with De Vrum, dribbling a defender and shooting, but the goalkeeper saved well. In the 60th minute, Polster-Heich made a bad foul on Su Mathe, who left the game injured. She apologized for the bad foul and said that it wasn’t her intention.
Estresse Intenso tried to attack. The doctor even put Barcellos and Quaster in the game, but Sativaville’s pressure continued. The doctor understood that the opponent team was stronger than the Institute’s team, so decided to defend a bit more to avoid suffering more goals. After more than 20 minutes of pressure, the game finished, with a result of 1x0 and victory of Sativaville.
Fortunately, all the Institute’s players took their medicines in the right time and amount before the game and no strange things happened. Sometimes Zveitel shouted with no reasons, and Quaster avoided body contact. But nothing serious happened and all the doctors did a great job. LITV showed the game to all the patients of the Institute, and they were very happy in see their friends playing.

Lady Fluer De Lys Win opener in WWC7
With their 1-0 victory over Anastasiania the Ladies have done well and now top the group let's take a look at the match now.
The game got off to a slow start as both teams sussed out the situation. Then Marceau picked up the pace and the Anastasianiaian keeper was up to the task stopping chances by Sillage,Rousseau, and Versaille the half ended 0-0 but the pace had been picked up so an uptempo second was to be expected. The second half started out like the end of the first half Marceau Dominating the play things looked shored up on the Anastasianiaian defense until Kalymon found Versaille on a Cross who took it in hard and burried the shot past the keeper at the 76th minute putting the game at 1-0 Marceau would then go to a defensive setup and choke any chances Anastasiania had. The game eneded 1-0.

Lady Moose Stumble to start off WWCVII
Well I don't know if this losing bug from the Q-Cup has caught this Team but stumbling out of the blocks isn't waht we want from the 4th ranked team in the world. The performance against Starblaydia was'nt enough as close as the loss was it's still not good enough.on to the game.
Starblaydia got off with some up tempo play pushing the Lady Moose to the limit but thanks to sharp goal keeping by Svenernsky held Rorysville in early then Rorysville managed to turn the tides and force the play to Starblaydia but the Starblaydian Defense held tight and the half ended 0-0.this game started to look like an INstant classic as both teams played the ball extremly well to start off the second half until Marie Hall took a bad penalty at the 89th minute tripping the Starybladian Forward in the box resulting in a Penalty Kick which was burried past a diving Svenernsky putting the game at 1-0 with only a couple minutes of stoppage time left as hard as the Lady Moose tried they couldn't tie it up and fell 1-0.

Wentland
13-12-2006, 22:04
Despite the radical inclusions in the squad, Edwina Bluff stuck with a line-up that more or less resembled the standard for the past couple of World Cups...
1 Foy
2 Horne 5 Rhodes 3 Pike
7 Saunders 8 Cadman 6 Stephens 4 Kumble 11 Dougall
9 Pellegrini 10 Flack
Captain Anna Kumble was anxious to get going. "C'mon, let's show those young 'uns what a REAL Wentland side is capable of..."
And they were capable of quite a lot. The first half was a whirlwind of attacking football as poor Quakmybush could not get past the Wentland 5-woman midfield. Saunders and Dougall were tigerish down the wings, and if the Lady Sharks could get past Stephens and Cadman in the middle, Kumble herself tended to drop back to pick up the pieces. Zoe Pike, former finalist in Miss Wentland, hardly had a thing to do in her international debut at left-back.
The first goal came in the 18th minute as the Flack Attack got off the mark in the campaign, picking up a deflected shot from Cadman and slotting past an off-balance Gretta. Flack also got the second six minutes later from a Dougall cross that saw the defence flock to Pellegrini and Thalia P, her goal drought long forgotten, pinched a third on half-time from another Dougall cross, this one driven low.
Half-time. "Job done, boss?" Wentland eased off in the second half and Bluff took the opportunity to blood a few of the Little Tits. Jackson in defence, Summers in midfield and Barnfield up front, in place of Horne, Cadman and Pellegrini. However no further goals resulted; indeed a Jackson mistake nearly let in Lidia but Rhodes cleared off the line as she dinked it over a rampaging Foy.
At full-time the score was still 3-0. "Not bad, boss..." smiled Kumble as she came off. "Although I seem to notice that we did a bit better without the sprogs..."
Anastasiania
13-12-2006, 22:05
The Anastasianian women's football side keeps up their record in Women's World Cups after a dull 0-1 loss to Marceau State. Voices in Anastasiania are now considering withdrawing funding to the team after yet another defeat.
Naturally, Anastasiania captain Ulrica Kackur disagreed with the dissenting voices. "We're playing better and better football," she said, "and it's only a matter of time before we win games. If the men's national team lost six in a row no one would have bothered to complain, cos everyone knows they're awful, and anyway they were pretty close to winning that harmony bucket last year, so they've basically given themselves credit. We haven't, yet, but anyone who watched today's game should see how close we were...to a draw."
This reporter, quite frankly, disagrees. Despite the change of coach and goalkeeper, the side still looked depressively weak in the challenges, and the occasional incisive break from Jen Maggart too often went into a Marceau State defender. Consider, then, that only Montegrande are ranked weaker than this Marceau State team, and it may be very, very tricky to get anything other than four defeats out of the Noremark tournament.
Anastasianian squad (star denotes first-choice players):
Keepers: Jenny Persson*, Tuila Paljonen
Defenders: Petria Chambury*, Susanna Roponen*, Lilla Kaljonen*, Jane Warwick*, Johanna Söderström
Midfielders: Stina Söderström*, Nina Carlstedt*, Kate Uptreed*, Jen Maggart*, Linn Wikborg
Forwards: Ulrica Kackur* (captain), Anna Rantanen*, Moona Valjonen

The Quakmybush Lady Sharks started off play in the Women's World Cup with a game versus Wentland. The game started off slowly it wasn't until the 39th minute when Thalia Pellegrini scored to make it 1-0 Wentland. That was the score at the half. The second half had a much quicker start with Kaz Flack scoring in the 46th minute making it 2-0 Wentland. Then finally Kaz Flack scored again in the 85th minute to make it 3-0 Wentland. This is how the game ended.

Covering the Women's World Cup for 28 years.
After a week's worth of blizzards and other horrible weather in Noremark, the Women's World Cup Council has moved the Cup to Rorysville, as they are the closet nation to Noremark, and also the only one that could handle the complexities of hosting on such short notice. That being said, the Lady Oxen finally resumed play against Ariddia, and were given a tough match, but held on to win 2-0.
Denise Vinson in the 42nd minute broke the scoreless tie, and Stephany Heisel added the 2nd goal in the 61st minute to provide the winning margin.
Up next for Qazox is Estresse Intenso, a new team to the World stage. I feel sorry for them as the Lady Oxen will roll, 5-0.

It had been a confusing few days. The bad weather necessitating a trip to Rorysville - again - and the extra confusion of having to take a trip via Quak Air, whose in-flight magazine had a bizarrely ficticious account of the opening game. "So you scored the first, eh, Sham?" grinned Rach Horne. "You missed out on a hat-trick..."
Because of the upheaval boss Bluff decided to stick with the same team again for the match with Cafundeu, much to the disappointment of some of the Little Tits, but the first hour certainly vindicated the boss' decision.
It was an especially good day for Rach Horne, who, perhaps piqued by the inclusion of dead ball expert Az Jackson in the squad, and, taking advantage of Imelda Davies' failure to make the team, had stepped up for penalty-taking and free-kick duties; and given a brace of opportunities she secured a brace of goals. The first from 18 yards after Viviane Paquetá climbed on Pellegrini, the second from the spot when Beatriz Caravelas panicked and handled a Dougall cross.
Pellegrini needled Horne at half-time. "I may have missed out on a hat-trick...but at least I've scored one..." "Hey, there's still time..."
Cafundeu had learnt their lesson and calmed down in the second half, the defenders standing up straight and not diving in where in the first they had been conceding free-kicks. However Horne got an entirely unexpected hat-trick on the hour, when she overlapped on the right with Gwennie Saunders and stayed up front when the resulting cross was half-cleared. A right-foot scissors volley later was the goal of the season and 3 for Wentland, 3 for Horne.
A triple substitution followed - Horne off to a standing ovation, replaced by Jackson, and Matsushita and Horner on for Pellegrini and Cadman. However the replacements destabilized the Blue Tits and Cafundeu poached a goal whilst the sorting-out occurred. Wentland stayed secure for the remaining half-an-hour, so no harm done, but Anna Kumble had another wry smile for her manager as the team came off.

Well The Lady Oxen are going back once again into the knock-out stages after a dominating 4-0 win over Estresse Intenso. The outcome of the match was hardly ever in doubt, despite Estresse Intenso's opening volley which saw them get 4 shots on goal in the 1st 10 minutes. But Ginger Zingarelli held firm, and it wasn't long before Qazox got on the board.
Denise Vinson scored her first of two goals in the 15th minute folling a misplayed ball at midfield by EI's Leandra AMARO. Vinson was left one-on-one with the keeper Zveitel, who mistimed her dive at the ball and it was 1-0. Stephany Heisel got the 2nd goal of the match following a brilliantly placed Corner kick by Andrea Hilton, which Stephany promptly headed home for a 2-0 lead.
Vinson would get her 2nd goal in the 34th minute, albeit with a bit of controversy. At first it seemed that she pushed the ball into the net with her hand, but replays showed that it deflected off her shoulder, so the goal stood. Jeanie Mosley in the 70th minute added the final goal. But in the waning moments of play, Ginger Zingarelli was given a yellow card for shoving a EI player during a corner kick. She did make a wonderful save to keep the shut-out intact on the ensuing penalty kick, but there was no need for a keeper in a game that is essentially over to start shoving other players to the ground.
Up next for the Lady Oxen is the surprising Lady Stoners of Sativaville, who also are 3-0-0 in qualifing. Should be a close game, but the Oxen are still a bit better, so Qazox wins 2-1, to win the group.

Coach: Good job Rashina, we qualified by the looks of it!
Rashina: Well, if we didn't it'd be a big shock to the nation.
Coach: Yes, true but all wins so far.
Rashina: We do want to avoid running to Qazox, Wentland and Roryville too early.
Coach: That too.
Rashina: You know our record in Rorysville is like?
Coach: That's right, they've hosted twice and we did not make the final once. 3rd and 4th I believe?
Rashina: Something like that.
Coach: Time to change that, this time.
Rashina: I hope so too. 3 cups is not enough for us, Jeruselem want more.
Coach: We can only do our best on the day really.
Rashina: That's not the Dallas way, all or nothing!
Coach: That seems to be way your auntie dresses.
Rashina: And that all isn't much either.
Coach: You seem driven, you know.
Rashina: Losing the Q-CUP, I want to prove something. Losing a final is no fun, rather be 3rd.
Coach: I think I've worked why you Dallas girls lead so well.
Rashina: Why's that?
Coach: Because you don't let things get in the way. If they do, you keep on coming back for more.
Rashina: Life is short - do it now I say. We don't expect perfection but we strive for it because striving for mediocrity is not the way forward.
Coach: Well, that's why this team works I guess. We want to get better and not sit around resting on our laurels.
Rashina: We are not number one - only way is win this cup.
Coach: Passion, that's what drives the team I guess.
Rashina: Oh yes, Passion. Passion for the game and winning as well. No passion - you're not going to succeed.
Coach: Speaking of passion, how's the love life?
Rashina: Err, yeah good. I'm not as bad as my auntie!

"I know, Rach...but if we don't give them a proper chance they'll never get it..."
"Oh, OK, then...but don't blame me if they screw it up..."
Edwina Bluff had decided for the Algal States game that she would make wholesale changes to the starting line-up. Give the main stars a rest. It was especially hard on hat-trick heroine Rachel Horne, but she felt it was something that needed to be done.
So the Blue Tits lined up as follows:
12 Cassidy
13 Quddus 14 Jackson 15 Grady 3 Pike
19 Summers 16 Davies 99 Matsushita 20 Fraser
17 Horner 21 Barnfield
***
"Not really working, boss..."
"I don't know...I think the youth will come through in the final few minutes...they're a bit younger and fitter than the Algals..."
"Hope you're right...one down is a bit of a blow..."
Nella Horner was buzzing around up front but could not latch onto the balls from midfield. Leigh Fraser was flattering to deceive with fancy footwork but no end product and Katie Barnfield could not escape her marker. Whereas at the back Az Jackson was not as well suited to centre-half as had been hoped.
On the hour mark Bluff made her move. It was not entirely expected. Quddus off, Jackson moved to right-back, and Pellegrini on to make it 3-4-3. Dividends nearly paid immediately as Pellegrini hit the bar and then the post in quick succession. But suddenly the Algal defence was finding it difficult to cope - and Barnfield was now finally finding space.
Which proved decisive.
Another ball aimed at Pellegrini saw a half-clearance and the buzzbomb Matsushita noted that Barnfield was suddenly free and unmarked 18 yards out. She managed to scuff a pass to the Academy forward who hit it first-time inside the near post for an equalizer. And with Pellegrini and Barnfield pulling the defence every which way Horner found herself with more room to manoeuvre and she notched a late winner when a Pellegrini shot was parried by the Algal goalkeeper.
"Yeaaahhhh!!!" yelled Matsushita at the end. "I TOLD you we wouldn't let you down, boss!!!"
Anna Kumble, watching from the dug-out, was not so sure. 2-1 was a good enough win, to be sure, but the Algal States were late entrants and unprepared. Were the youngsters riding on a fluke patch?
Cafundeu

Matchday 2: Cafundéu 1x3 Wentland
After the whole confusion, when Noremark had lots of problems in hosting the WWC and asked to federation to change the place and Rorysville was the chosen place, Cafundéu had to play against last year's runner-ups Wentland. The strong opponent and the fact that Cafundéu's players were very nervous in this game were important in the game.
In the first minutes, Cafundéu already made many fouls and received two yellow cards, and the players were missing many goal chances and giving breaches for Wentland players. And, in the twenty-first minute, suffered the first goal. Viviane Paquetá fouled Pellegrini and the referee gave a penalty to Wentland. Horne took it and scored.
In the twenty-sixth minute, another penalty. This time, Dougall crossed after a good play from the left side to Horne. Seeing that Horne would probably score the goal, Beatriz hit the ball with her hand, and another penalty was given to Wentland. Horne took it again and scored the second goal of Wentland in the match.
For the second half, the coach Melissa Araguaia helped the players to control themselves and Cafundéu returned to play well, having some goal chances, mainly with the attackers Ana Laura and Ana Paula and with the midfielder Fernanda Garcia. But, in the sixty-first minute, Horne scored the third goal of the match, and after that Cafundéu lost the chances to draw or win.
But, even with no chances to get a better result, Cafundéu was able to score. In the sixty-fourth minute, Ana Laura lost a good chance and Fernanda Garcia got the rebound, scoring a nice goal from outside the area. The goal gave some hope to Cafundéu, but they couldn't win the game, even playing better in the last minutes. A deserved win for Wentland. Melissa said that in the next game she would use a new formation to try to win.
http://spaam.mrdrake.net/flags/cafundeu.png CAFUNDÉU: Caroline, Morena, Beatriz and Viviane Paquetá(Souto Maior); Luana, Raposa, Letícia(Nanda), Aline(Zélia) and Fernanda Garcia; Ana Laura and Ana Paula.

Coach: Edwina Bluff.
GOALS: CAF: Fernanda Garcia 64'.
WEN: Horne 21'/26'/61'.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Matchday 3: Cafundéu 0x4 Rorysville
After the loss against Wentland, the coach changed Cafundéu's team a lot, and the new formation didn't bring very good results. Cafundéu started the game lost in the field, missing many passes and couldn't create goal chances. Good for Rorysville, which in the seventh minute scored the first goal of the match with Carrie Banner, after dribbling a defender.
Both teams continued the same after the goal. Cafundéu lost and Rorysville attacking well and playing much better. Rorysville had lots of chances, and Cafundéu only one, with Joseane. And, in the nineteenth minute, Rorysville scored another goal, this time with Alexandria Banner, heading the ball after a corner kick well taken.
Before the end of the first half, the game was very boring, as only one team could play well. Melissa saw that he chose a bad formation, and tried to change it putting Vanessa and Gabriela before the end of the first half. But this didn't changed many things, as in the thirty-seventh minute Michelle Manery was able to invade the area and shot to score the third goal.
The second half started, and Cafundéu seemed to start to play better, returning to the old formation. Goal chances were seen for both sides, and Ana Laura had two chances to score a goal, but missed both. But Terry Kanuch didn't missed the chance that she had after a mistake from Sarah and scored her goal in the match.
The last minutes of the game were the most equal ones, when Cafundéu could attack more and Rorysville lost the ball possession for some moments, but the golden girls still couldn't play better than Rorysville, and missed the chances to score a goal. Caroline made some good saves, but in the end Cafundéu lost the game. Melissa will put the original formation for next match, to avoid losing again. "We'll play with full strength."
http://spaam.mrdrake.net/flags/cafundeu.png CAFUNDÉU: Caroline, Morena, Sarah and Viviane Paquetá(Vanessa); Letícia, Joseane(Alice) and Fernanda Garcia; Ana Laura, Ana Paula and Zélia(Gabriela).

Coach: Diana Duvall.
GOALS: ROR: C.Banner 7' , A.Banner 19' , Manery 37' , Kanuch 64'.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Melissa announced that she'll use the 4-4-2 formation for the next game, with the following players: Caroline, Vanessa, Raposa, Morena and Beatriz; Letícia, Alice, Nanda and Fernanda Garcia; Ana Laura and Ana Paula. Style of +2.
The only doubt is if she'll really use Nanda in Joseane's place, but she'll only answer it few minutes before the game.

MD4-Algal States
The Lady Moose have qualified for the next round of the Women's World Cup with a victory over Algal States. The victory also moved the Lady Moose up to Second in the Ayre Plains Group. On to the match.
Rorysville took the field and took the initiative and pushed the play early with some great chances by Carrie Banner and Jordan Kielty.Kielty would get her goal at the 35th minute when she took the ball and charged forward riffiling a shot past an outstretched keeper.Algal States battled back to notch a goal in stopppage time of the first half and lock the score at 1 all after the first. Rorysville then again took the play almost toying with the Algalian Defenders at times until Erin Banner netted her First of the Tournament at the 63rd minute. Things settled into a well paced game with both teams taking chances and things stayed at 2-1 till the 87th minute when Lugano took advantage of a poorly passed ball and beat the keeper to put the game away for good.

One game away from history, as Qazox' Ginger Zingarelli has held the Lady Oxen's opponents scoreless for 360 minutes so far. That's right 4 straight shut-outs for Qazox! But today's was the toughest yet as a very improved Sativaville withstood 17 shots on net and 63% possession by the Lady Oxen, but couldn't keep Denise Vinson out of the net as she scored the winner in the 84th minute.
Sativaville, despite not having their best palyer, Su Mathe, for the last couple of games were also 3-0-0 heading into today's match. The scrappy Lady Stoners were lead by their stalwart in net, Helen Herr, whose play has vastly improved over the past few years. But Qazox is just too deep and to fast and that is how Denise Vinson scored her goal. She intercepted an errant pass at midfeild and just weaved through defenders like a skiier weaving through a slalom run. The shot wasn't as good as the run, a dribbler that took a weird hop just before bouncing over Kerr's right arm, as she dove to stop it.
Up next is Commerce Heights, and Head Coach Kylie Rena will be starting most of the subs for two main reasons. One, to get some of the newer players some playing time before the Knockouts, and two to rest up some of our older players. Still Qazox should have no problem winning, our guess? 4-0.

Wentland
19-12-2006, 20:50
Anna Kumble was aghast. "You're gonna play the sprogs again???"
"Not entirely," responded Edwina Bluff. "I think we need a slight leavening of experience, eh, Anna? You're up for that?"
"Well, yes, but I'm not certain that that's the right approach. Starblaydia are dangerous at times..."
"Good, so there's a bit of a challenge there."
The Blue Tits therefore lined up as follows:
22 Clark
13 Quddus 14 Jackson 15 Grady 18 Beavan
19 Summers 16 Davies 99 Matsushita 11 Kumble
10 Flack 21 Barnfield
They lined up accordingly. Anna Kumble cast a sly glance at Lulu Matsushita in midfield. "Why do you wear the number 99, then?"
"Cos they won't let me wear 69."
Kumble looked askance in disgust as Imelda Davies, no shrinking violet herself, smiled.
It took some time for the team to gel and they were lucky to go in at the break level. "Time for changes, boss?" asked Kumble. "No, let's leave it as is for the moment..."
And right from the kick-off Wentland took the lead. Sammie Grady interrupted a Starblaydi attack by heading to Matsushita. The livewire midfielder evaded a couple of challenges in heading forward, and when tackled Davies the bulldozer found the ball at her feet and moved on. 18 yards out she tried one, it ricocheted back off the post straight to the feet of Katie Barnfield, who managed to dig it out and prod it under the recovering goalkeeper.
Anna Kumble had to concede that the two Little Tits had done well, but still considered that it was Imelda Davies' run that had really made the goal. The second followed a few minutes later with a Kumble corner being glanced home by Grady herself, coming up for a rare (for her) goal. 2-0 and it was time to shut up shop.
Edwina Bluff played out the last half-hour experimenting with different formations, a tiring Summers taken off and replaced by Gwennie Saunders who played behind the front two, then Barnfield taken off and replaced by Fraser to make it 4-5-1, then Matsushita off for Rhodes to finish as 5-4-1. The constant tinkering interrupted the flow of the game and any attempt at a Starblaydi comeback and it petered out to a suitably dull 2-0 score. And with one game to go Wentland was favourite to head the group.
"There you go, Anna...seems like we've got us some good young 'uns..."
"Yeah, maybe..."

BE CALM NEWSPAPER: ESTRESSE INTENSO’S LAST THREE GAMES
Matchday 2 – Estresse Intenso 1x4 Green Wombat
For the second match, Estresse Intenso used the same formation of the first match, and the result wasn’t very good. The game started slow, with few goal opportunities, and De Vrum was near to score in the 12th minute, after a pass made by Maulnus, but missed the goal. And, in the 16th minute, Estresse Intenso suffered the goal. After a corner kick, a Green Wombat player headed and scored the goal.
After the goal, more goal opportunities started to be seen, but both goalkeepers saved their teams many times. And, in the 22nd minute, Estresse Intenso scored a goal. Kohlmeir received the ball in the midfield and invaded the area, passing to De Vrum. The attacker shot but was blocked. Maulnus got the rebound and shot with strength to score the second goal of the match.
The first half ended after lots of missed goal opportunities. Estresse Intenso was fighting hard to get a good result, but Green Wombat could control the game and show the power of its players in the right time. In the start of the second half, Tercart missed the ball inside the area and the attacker scored an easy goal. In the eleventh minute of the second half, the scorer of the first goal headed the ball again to score her second goal in the game.
After suffering two goals, Estresse Intenso couldn’t get a good result, but they still tried to score in some opportunities. One with Serrano, but she sent the ball wide. Another with Yeyts, but she missed. In the 32nd minute of the second half, Green Wombat scored another goal. The attacker that scored the second goal invaded the area again and shot to score another goal in the match.
In the last minutes of the game something strange happened. Yeyts fell on the ground and her clothes were dirty. Seeing this, she asked to be subbed to be able to clean her clothes as soon as she could. Sanidad had to put Amaro in her place. Another player that had to be subbed. Ghabad saw a ghost in the field and couldn’t play well because of that, so Hissenfelder entered in her place. The game ended 4x1.

Matchday 3 – Estresse Intenso 0x4 Qazox
Estresse Intenso started well the third game, using well the ability of its midfielders and exploring good counterattacks. Maulnus had two chances after receiving the ball inside the area, and Serrano and Kohlmeir had their chances too. But the goalkeeper Zingarelli saved Qazox in these first minutes. After that, Qazox started to play better and controlled the game.
In the 15th minute, Amaro, who substituted Polster-Heich who had some health problems, lost the ball when trying to create a counterattack. Vinson took the ball and shot the ball after invading the area. She gave no chances to the goalkeeeper Zveitel and scored the first goal of the game. In the 28th minute, Heisel scored heading the ball after a corner kick.
Qazox’s third goal was scored by Vinson again in the 34th minute. Marci Harris crossed the ball to the area and Vinson hit it and scored. Many Estresse Intenso players complained saying that she handballed the ball to score, and the media is still divided. After the third goal, Qazox held the ball until the end of the first half, and it ended after a foul made by Tercart.
The second half started with some missed goal chances of both teams, that weren’t finishing very well. But, after twenty-five minutes of bad football, Mosley scored the fourth goal of the game, dribbling the goalkeeper Zveitel. In the last minutes of the game, Zingarelli fouled Serrano inside the area. Maulnus took the penalty, the ball hit the post and was entering the goal, but Zingarelli saved.
The end of the game was very confusing, with many players complaining to the referee and De Vrum saying that her god would punish the poor referee. Of course Qazox deserved the victory, but E.I.’s players thought that the referee made many mistakes and that she can’t participate in such important matches, as she isn’t fully prepared for that.

Matchday 4 – Estresse Intenso 3x2 Commerce Heights
In the fourth match of Estresse Intenso, all the players seemed completely focused in the game and could defeat their opponents in a nice match, very close and with lots of opportunities. Commerce Heights started better the game, but missing many chances. In the 12th minute they scored the first goal of the match with a midfielder, shooting from outside the area.
After the goal, Estresse Intenso started to play much better, using short passes and reaching the attack easily. The opponents weren’t expecting such a good performance of Landau Institute’s players and weren’t prepared for that. In the 21st minute, Serrano shot from outside the area, the keeper saved but Maulnus got the rebound and scored the goal, pressing the opponents.
Estresse Intenso’s pressure was very good, and Commerce Heights started to lose the ball in the midfield many times. But the lack of a lethal striker made Estresse Intenso lose lots of good chances. And, after many minutes of pressure, Commerce Heights returned to make the game equal. But, before that, in the 43rd minute, Serrano invaded the area and crossed. De Vrum headed and scored the goal.
The first half ended with Estresse Intenso winning the match, but in the start of the second half Commerce Heights shown that it wouldn’t be easy to win the game. In the 53rd minute, a winger received the ball in the entrance of the area and shot to score the goal. After that, the coach started to make changes in the team to see if the team could win the game.
And the goal came. In the 71st minute, Barcellos received the ball and passed to Kohlmeir. The defensive midfielder entered in the area and passed to Maulnus who received the ball alone in the area. She had no difficulties to shot and score the goal that gave the three points to the Institute’s team. The coach was very happy with the result and lots of fans were too.

CAFUNDÉU LOSES IMPORTANT GAME AND MUST WIN THE NEXT
After losing the last three games of the Women’s World Cup, Cafundéu must now win the last game against Starblaydia. Yesterday they lost after a field battle against the girls of Quakmybush. After many goals, the opponents were able to get a good result defeating the golden girls by a result of 3x2. Although Cafundéu lost the game, it wasn’t a bad game like the one against Rorysville. The team had a good game, but luck wasn’t in their side.
THE GAME
The game started with both teams attacking with a lot of ability and players. Five players were attacking at the same time and both defenses had lots of difficulties to hold the opponents. In the 3rd minute, Quakmybush had the first opportunity with Fathiyya, after receiving a pass from Lidia, but her shot was poor and the goalkeeper Caroline could save the ball easily.
11th minute: Cafundéu had a excellent opportunity with Alice. The talented midfielder received the ball from Vanessa and shot from outside the area. The ball hit the bar and Ana Paula and Trix tried to get the ball, and the Quakmybush defender could take it. 18th minute: Another chance for Cafundéu, this time after Debby fouled Letícia. Nanda took the free kick and tried to score, but the goalkeeper Gretta made a great save.
23rd minute: Quakmybush attacked fast with Korinna. The attacker received the ball in the left side, dribbled Beatriz and invaded the area. She shot, but Caroline could make a good save. 26th minute: The first goal happened. Zaynab received the ball and saw Lidia in a good position. She passed the ball and the attacker shot to score the first goal of the game. 1x0, Lidia.
32nd minute: Quakmybush had another good opportunity after Morena fouled Nsonowa. Korinna received the ball and tried to score from a long range shot, but she sent the ball over the bar. 39th minute: Cafundéu replied with Ana Laura, who received the ball from Fernanda Garcia, invaded the area and shot, but unfortunately the ball went wide and she lost this chance.
45th minute: In the last minutes of the first half, both teams had chances to score. Taniqua received the ball, dribbled Raposa and crossed to Ester, who headed the ball but missed the goal. Cafundéu’s chance was with Vanessa, after she received a good pass from Letícia and shot the ball. It hit two defenders and then Ana Paula, but the goalkeeper Gretta was ready to catch the ball.
The second half started like the first, and many chances were missed by both teams. And, in the 14th minute, Cafundéu scored a goal. Letícia took the ball from a midfielder and invaded the area. Fernanda Garcia asked for the ball and received it. She dribbled a defender and shot to the goal, giving no chances to the opponent goalkeeper and scoring the second goal of the game.
The goal made Cafundéu attack more, and soon scored another goal, this time in the 18th minute of the second half. Nanda crossed the ball to the area in a corner kick, the defender missed the ball and Ana Laura hit it with her right leg to score another goal. After the goal, the coaches made many changes in their teams and new players were playing the match, as Alessandra and Ainslie.
Quakmybush started to reply. Ainslie got the ball and shot to the goal, but she sent the ball over the bar. But, in the 29th minute of the second half, Lidia scored her second goal in the game. She received the ball from Korinna, invaded the area and shot to the right side of the goal scoring a beautiful goal. After that, the coaches made more changes in the team, and Sofija and Maria Lúcia entered in the game.
The game was very difficult and lots of yellow cards were seen, but nothing too violent happened. In the 34th minute, Quakmybush scored the last goal of the game, this time with Korinna. She received the ball from Sofija, dribbled Raposa and hit the ball with her chest. The goalkeeper couldn’t get it, so she scored a very strange goal, that gave the victory to Quakmybush.
In the last minutes of the game few interesting things happened, as the teams were holding the ball a lot and weren’t reaching the attack. After some minutes, the referee ended the game and Cafundéu lost another game. The players were very sad because of the results, but they won’t give up and will play the last game to win, and win a place to the second round.
The coach Melissa Araguaia didn’t like the result, but she said that the team is improving and can win the last game to go to the second phase. She also announced the team that will play the next game: Caroline, Vanessa, Gabriela, Morena and Beatriz; Letícia, Alice, Joseane and Fernanda Garcia; Ana Laura and Ana Paula. The same style of +2 will be used, and the team will have a difficult work to do.

HERSTORY!!!
That's right the Lady Stoners made history today as they shut-out their 5th straight opponent, becomeing the 1st team ever to not allow a goal during the Group Stages.
Lead by Gretchen Bucci's hat-trick, Qazox easily dispatched Commerce Heights and along with old foe Jeruselem, Went 5-0-0 during qualifing.
Bucci, who was starting her 1st game, scored in the 24th, 49th and 75th minutes. Commerce Heights never was truly int he match, even though they had 5 shots on net on back-up keeper Carmella Bucklew, who recorded her 1st shut-out.
Up next in the round of 16 is Yafor 2, a good team, but one that cannot seem to ever get over the hump and win a title. Should be a great match, but Qaxox will prevail 2-1.
GAME SUMMARY:
Goals:
Bucci (1,2,3) 24', 49', 75'
Cards:
None
Current record: 5-0-0
Looking ahead to the Knockout rounds, there's a couple of interesting matchups in the 2nd round. 1st of which is Haraki vs. Starblaydia a battle between two top ten teams. 2nd is our match vs. Yafor 2, the 5th ranked team in the world; and the 3rd is Noremark vs. Sativaville, the winner will advance to the Quarterfinals for the 1st time in either sides history.
Looking down the road a bit, the brackets seem to have a couple of interesting Quarterfinal matchups, provided the teams that should win, do win. 1st could be a rematch between Rorysville and Jeruselem, both final 4 teams last time, but now only one will not advance to the semis. The other will be the Sativaville/Noremark winner vs. the Spaam/Quakmybush winner. The winner of that particular match-up will advance to the semis for the 1st time.
Also on pace to meet, in the semifinals could be Wentland and Qazox once again. Also on pace to meet in the finals.. if they survive the previous 3 matches would be Qazox-Jeruselem Round 3. Should be a very interesting couple of weeks.

Gary: OK, Rashina - let's look at our rivals.
Rashina: Sure coach!
Gary: Before we start, what's that shirt say?
Rashina: Oh, that. Auntie sent it to me - Quack my Bush!
Gary: Oh yes, I'm sure some people out there want to quack your bush too.
Rashina: But I'm picky about who quacks my bush.
Gary: Back to the task, before we go off track.
Rashina: Off track?
Gary: Firstly we play Ariddia. God, they almost failed to make it. Two wins, a draw and 2 losses. Not much of goal difference either.
Rashina: We'll beat them, don't worry. We've got the attack to tear into that team.
Gary: They only conceded six goals, but then scored only eight.
Rashina: We scored sixteen goals - I think we have firepower.
Gary: Moving on, if we beat Arridia we face Rorysville or New Montreal States.
Rashina: Rorysville - four wins, 1 loss, 14 goals and 6 conceded. Looking good and hard to beat. Unlucky to be 2nd to Wentland really.
Gary: New Montreal States, three wins, two losses. Nine goals scored and 8 conceded. Not so hot. Safe to say the hosts are going to win.
Rashina: Yeah, Rorysville should beat the Paladin girls and should face us. Damn!
Gary: Yeah, they beat us twice last time.
Rashina: I'm going make sure the hosts are not going have a cup. We are going for the revenge factor here.
Gary: We might run into Sativaville or Spaam if we make the semi.
Rashina: Well, that's much better than the other side of the draw I guess with those big teams.
Gary: Both of those teams have a 3 win, 1 draw and 1 loss record. Spaam scored 9 goals, and Sativaville only eight. However Sativaville conceded five while Spaam conceded six.
Rashina: Well, that's like Ariddia's record at the moment. The offense is not there like it is with us or Qazoz. We'll beat them due to our better goal scoring if we can get past Rorysville. If we lost to Rorysville, then I think Rorysville should make the final.
Gary: The other side - well Qazox with all five wins.14 goals and no goals conceded - they are the big threat!
Rashina: Yep, another super Qazox team.
Gary: Haraki - not going so well and then they face Starblaydia.
Rashina: Both teams are good, but Haraki could not beat us. Starblaydia did well in their group with wentland and Roryville in it. None can beat Qazox!
Gary: Marceau State are doing alright, but only 8 goals scored.
Rashina: Green Wombat are better at all, worse but then they are ahead of Arridia in the group. But then they can't match Wentland with the Annas in charge.
Gary: Wentland - 1 loss and four wins. 12 goals scored and only 4 conceded. Sure to make the final from there.
Rashina: Toranat could not handle the teams in our group - let alone Wentland.
Gary: OK Wentland vs Qazox semi, from the other side of the draw.
Rashina: I'd say that, I feel sorry for Haraki having play Qazox.
Gary: For us, we must get past Rorysville after Arridia - and that's the problem.
Rashina: Yes, those other teams are so lucky to have us and Roryville clashing early.
Gary: No Wentland vs Qazox final then!
Rashina: But a Jeruselem vs Qazox final is the one we want. Wentland too would be fine.
Gary: Rorysville, that's the key.
Rashina: We must beat the hosts, into the ground.

Lady Moose are on the Loose into the Playoffs!
MD5-Wentland
The Lady Moose know thier Oppnent in the round of 16 as they have advanced to the Playoffs with another thrilling victory this time over the 2nd ranked team in teh world let's look at the match
"This one could be billed as an instant classic number two versus number four to win the group" And with that introductiont we settle into a boistrous atmosphere known as Penn Stadium. The Crowd energized Rorysville early and they took the play to the Blue Tits early with some great chances. Kielty feed the ball to Carrie Banner at the 27th minute and Banner didn't waste that chance and put the score at 1 nill. Wentland started to get things going not too long after that Katie Summers took Kumble down resulting in a PK and the Blue Tits chance wasn't wasted as the goal was scored. Things seemed to settle in for the rest of the half the second half started out with the ladies falling behind the Blues as a goal at the 52nd minute put them behind things seemed out of reach for the Lady Moose until Carrie Banner stole the ball off a Blue Tit Defender and charged in on goal netting the tieing goal at the 82nd minute the Stadium errupted with emotion. The team waited in the dressing room, exhausted and disappointed, the magnificent unbeaten run come to an end at the hands of the hosts. And worried about what Edwina Bluff might say.
In the end she came in.
"Bogroll."
There was a brief sniff of relief. "I think I've been tinkering too much, ladies...I've unsettled you somewhat.
"But some good performances out there. Rachel, how many's that you've got now? 4? You're leading scorer! Not bad from right back.
"And that was an excellent second, Rosie. Lovely chip.
"Never mind about the hat-trick, these things happen. At least we know what to do if we play them again. Let's be honest - I'm glad we got one defeat out of the way when it didn't matter.
"Now it's time to prepare for the next match. And I think a day of pampering is what's needed...and no, Anna, it's not that muck farm you took the Little Tits to..."

BE CALM NEWSPAPER: ESTRESSE INTENSO’S LAST GAME
A nice last game in the competition, where the referee had one of her most easy job of her career, as no cards were shown. Ariddia could use all the ability of its players to defeat Estresse Intenso’s team by the result of 3x0. All the goals were scored during the first half of the game. The Institute’s players even tried to score to get a better result, but the opponent’s defense was very good and the attackers didn’t score.
Estresse Intenso was better in the first ten minutes of the game, controlling the ball and having some goal chances. The first one was with Serrano. She received the ball from Fonderson, dribbled an opponent and shot, but sent the ball over the bar. Another one was with Ghabad. The defensive midfielder shot very well in the eighth minute, but the goalkeeper made a good save.
After these ten minutes Ariddia started to control the game and dominate the match. In the first chance, scored a goal. A midfielder took the ball from Hissenfelder in the eleventh minute, invaded the area and passed to an attacker who shot to score the goal. The second goal came in the 32nd minute, when Tercart lost the ball in the defense and the same attacker shot to score again.
Ariddia didn’t rest, and soon was able to score the third and last goal of the game, and with the same player. She received the ball in the entrance of the area, dribbled Everenke, the goalkeeper and entered in the goal together with the ball. After the third goal, Ariddia waited for the end of the first half. Estresse Intenso tried to score, but missed opportunities with De Vrum and Maulnus.
The Institute’s team had good chances during the second half, but wasted them all. The best player of the team was the substitute Quaster. Ariddia’s players just controlled the ball waiting for the end of the game, and sometimes created goal chances that gave work to Zveitel. After the end of the game, the players went home, returning to the Institute and resuming their treatment.

CAFUNDÉU GOES TO HOME EARLY
The team lost its will to fight in this game. It was something incredible to see, how many talented women played so badly. Starblaydia didn’t play well too. And, to tell the truth, if they played well Cafundéu would be humiliated. This game was very poor and the supporters didn’t like it, even after seeing many goals. The game started with two goals, but after that only goals scored after mistakes and missed chances were seen.
The first goal was scored in the third second of the game. Yes, third second. Starblaydia started the game and a midfielder shot to the goal. Caroline didn’t expect the shot and the ball entered in the goal. The second goal happened in the second minute of the game. Beatriz lost the ball to an attacker. The opponent invaded the area, dribbled Morena and shot. Caroline failed and let the ball enter again.
After the two goals, Starblaydia retreated and Cafundéu started to hold more the ball. But even having the ball possession Cafundéu couldn’t attack. Many missed passes and chances were seen. But, in the 40th minute, Ana Laura was fouled inside the area. Penalty. She shot and scored the goal. In the last five minutes of the first half, both teams had their best moments in the game, with some good plays.
In the 43rd minute, Cafundéu scored the second goal. Joseane received the ball from Letícia and invaded the area. She passed to Ana Paula, who headed, but the goalkeeper saved. Alice got the rebound and shot to score the goal. The first half ended with four goals scored in few minutes, and all the other time was wasted with the poor performances of both teams. The second half started like the first.
In the 6th minute, Starblaydia scored the third goal. Caroline missed a goal kick, an attacker took the ball and crossed to the area. Beatriz headed and scored an own goal. The last goal of the game was scored in the 45th minute of the second half, when a winger took the ball from Vanessa and crossed to the area. A defender headed it and scored the last goal of the game, which eliminated Cafundéu. A deserved loss.

Rashina Dallas was standing on table
"OK, girls we are in the quarter finals now. No more Arridia but it seems Rorysville stands in the way. Now this is no easy game - they beat us twice last Women's World Cup. I want 150% commitment in training. We cannot fail - the stadium holds one hundred thousand people, and most of them will come from Rorysville as they are the new hosts. So, ignore the crowd! Yes, there will be some Jeruselemites out there but maybe a few hundred at best. This is it - if we lost, we will not make the semi for the first time since cup 2. Look, if we can beat the hosts, then we can be Qazox or Wentland. For this game, we want a big game as I don't think Spaam or Sativaville are as a dangerous as the hosts. We can't afford to lose this game for many reasons but the hosts will be filling that stadium up will all the locals that they can find. It's a huge game for all of us. Now, I want us to be training hard and no slacking. Also more penalty shoot-out practice too. I know you all hate it but we've lost enough of these damn penalty shoot-outs. It is time to turn the tide. We have three cups - and in 3 games, we can grab another one. I fully expect a Jeruselem vs Qazox final here, if we can beat the hosts. We still must beat Spaam or Sativaville too, but then we are expected to win that game. Now, let's have a good rest and then go for it. Train hard and be ready for a game which will not be easy. The hosts have a nation on their side as well as history - we have never won a cup in Rorysville. Now, it is time to change history. Dazza Dallas, the designated captain may not be here due to self-inflicted medical conditions but let's do it for Dazza. She's not here but we are so let's make it count. Let's prove we can win without Dazza. Remember, failure is not an option here. No second chances for replays and no Dazza to save us. It's all up to you as a team."
Wentland
21-12-2006, 23:23
Edwina Bluff decided that she would go back to basics. Start with the regular line-up; Petterham midfield, go with a sort of 3-5-2.
It seemed to confuse Toranat, who had been expecting an orthodox 4-4-2 and found they could not control the midfield. The full-backs were scarcely bothered as Dougall, Saunders and Stephens combined to strangle the Toranat outfielders and constantly fed irritating little passes to Kumble and Cadman.
The Blue Tits went in at half-time with a two goal lead, one of the little passing movements suddenly finding Kaz Flack unmarked eight yards out and onside. The Flack Attack made no mistake.
The second was a bit more prosaic, Rach Horne claiming it after a free-kick from 20 yards out, although it flicked off the wall, deceiving the Toranat goalie.
Edwina Bluff decided to rest her players in the second half and made substitutions on the hour. However that took the pep out of the Blue Tits and Toranat can count themselves unlucky not to sneak back into the game - Anne Foy's spectacular acrobatics keeping a clean sheet as Toranat poured forward. But 2-0 it remained and Wentland reach another quarter-final, keeping up their last 8 record from World Cup 2.

It had to end some time, but Qazox' shut-out streak ended only 9 minutes into the game against Yafor 2, but the Lady Oxen wouldn't break after an early setback, and advanced to the Quarterfinals once again.
Yafor 2's Star striker, who name was not released for publication, (due to some weird Yafor 2 law), stuck home with a excellent shot that passed just over Gidget Zingarelli's fingertips and after a WWC record 369 minutes of shut-out football, Qazox had allowed its first goal this Cup.
The early setback came just minutes later when Stefany Heisel was taken down hard by a Yafor 2 defender, who was promptly given a yellow, but the damage was done, as Heisel, had to be taken of the pitch on a stretcher. Heisel was examined after the game, and was diagnosed with a strained ACL, and will sit out the next match. Her replacement, Gretchen Bucci, the 18-yr old phenom, came and made in immediate impact.
Bucci took the ensuing free-kick, and after it was deflected intothe air by Yafor 2's keep, Bucci took a leap, and dove over a defender and somehow headed it home for the goal to tie the match up at 1-1 in the 17th minute.
Both sides attacked and countered rentlessly, but to no avail as they went into the locker rooms tied at 1-1. The second half saw more pressure but on by both sides, but the keepers held steady, escpecially Yafor 2's. She deflected 3 far post shots and took a hard spill on a corner kick, but whatever her name is, she played as if her life depended on it.
When the whistle blew, it was still 1-1, but Yafor 2 looked a bit more tired, and Head Coach Kylie Rena took full advantage sending in Gretchen Talley, who had played but 20 minutes so far in the cup. When the whistle blew to open up overtime, Talley took little time to tally the winner, scoring just 25 seconds into the overtime, and that was it, Qazox won and advanced to its 5th straight Quarterfinal.
In said quarterfanal, the Lady Oxen will take on Starblaydia, one of the few teams that has been able the past few years to beat Qazox. Should be a great match, but Qazox looks a bit better, 3-2.
In other Quarterfinal matches, Sativaville will take on Spaam, Rorysville and Jeruselem clash once again, and Marceau State will take on Wentland. We see the following teams joining us in the semifinals: Spaam--Jeruselem--Wentland.

Wentland
22-12-2006, 22:26
Sally Summers limped to the touchline. The biggest game in her career had ended sadly. "No way she can continue, boss," said physio/assistant Nikki Griffin, "the ankle's swollen."
"OK, Meld, you're on."
"At bloody last."
Imelda Davies charged onto the pitch, intent to prove her worth, having missed much of the Cup and having seen Rach Horne supplant her in penalty-taking stakes. Davies thundered into three tackles in the first minute on the pitch, getting a warning from the referee after one particularly virulent one on Kalymon that left the Mustangs star writhing in agony.
"Calm it, Meld...we're three up..."
"OK, OK..."
The resulting free-kick was partially cleared and the ball bounced in midfield. Davies flung her right foot at it to get it towards Flack up front - but Leniniev had beaten her to it to head back. Davies kicked Leniniev in the head and the student collapsed to the floor.
"Oh jeez...I didn't mean it..."
The Marceau State players were onto her like a flash. "Get away from her, you f***ing bitch...animal..."
The Wentland players, in their black change kit, piled in to calm the situation. "Don't be so bloody stupid, it was an accident..."
One of the assistants came onto the pitch to separate players from various scuffles. The fourth official was holding back Turcotte who was desperately trying to get to an impassive Edwina Bluff. And the Marceau State physio was on the pitch to treat the prostrate Leniniev.
After two minutes it calmed down. Anna Kumble had got Davies well away from the incident. Leniniev was stretchered off, holding a bandage to her head, to be replaced by Ingrid Lindstrom.
Meanwhile the referee was consulting her assistants and with a heavy heart the Blue Tits saw one point to Davies and the referee approached, hand in pocket.
Hand out of pocket.
With the red card.
"For God's sake, ref, it was a bloody accident..."
"I WARNED you a minute before...totally reckless challenge..."
"I didn't bloody SEE her...I went for the bloody BALL..."
Anna Kumble suddenly had a problem on her hands. She practically wrenched a part-tearful part-incandescent Davies away, whispering in her ear. "We've got eleven minutes to go to defend this lead...let's not ruin it now...we can appeal..."
Eventually Davies left the pitch and the game continued. But the Blue Tits were shaken by the incident and Marceau State were suddenly galvanized into action. Within two minutes a long ball from midfield confused Zoe Pike and Anne Foy and as they got in each other's way Versaille nipped in to pull one back. With three minutes to go it was 3-2 as Toulosse, brought on in a desperate attempt to save the game, was free in the box and tapped home after Foy pushed a Versaille drive onto the bar.
The 90 minutes were up and saw the Blue Tits defending desperately. Then the board came up. "SEVEN minutes? Where did she get that from?"
The Rorysville crowd, sensing a shock, roared the Marceau team onwards with renewed vigour. Edwina Bluff replaced Kaz Flack with Qutie Quddus to bolster the defence and the move paid immediate dividends as Quddus cleared off the line from a vicious inswinging corner. Quddus also made a last-gasp tackle to stop Toulosse from equalizing in the 95th.
As the seven minutes expired Anne Foy pushed a cross from Lelclair clear - only to Kalymon whose drive back was just over the bar. Wentland's defence collapsed in relief, that was surely it. But the referee thought the shot had taken a deflection and to Blue Tit disbelief pointed for a corner - and indicated there was still time to take it.
Wearily Wentland got ready to defend. Even Lemmeare was up for this one. Lelclair's corner was outswinging and Anne Foy advanced a long way to get a fist to it. Providentially her punch found Lulu Matsushita who had spotted that there could be a break on - and suddenly she had the whole pitch before her with no-one in the way.
"Go!!! GO!!!!" yelled Kumble, Horne, Pike, Quddus, Bluff, Herman, Martin, Belvedere and basically everyone in Wentland. And Matsushita went. The Marceau team were too tired to get back in numbers and only Lafleur and Lemmeare made much of an attempt to recover the ball. And as Lafleur tried a desperate tackle 30 yards from her goal-line Lulu released the ball in a bouncy arc to make it 4-2.
As soon as the ball hit the net the referee blew for full-time. There was initially some doubt that the goal had been awarded but the effervescent Matsushita's boundless celebration confirmed to the spectators that she had indeed notched her third international goal and the Blue Tits were in their fourth semi-final. Law of averages dictated that they were due a maiden World Cup win.
Then the result of the other quarter-finals came in. Qazox had brushed Starblaydia aside. And lay in wait.
The Lady Oxen. Again. Number one in the world, Wentland's nemesis. Edwina Bluff stared in anguish at the fixtures. That sodding defeat to Rorysville...it would have been bloody Spaam otherwise...eighth seed instead of top...

2 WINS DOWN...2 TO GO....
Qazox advanced to its 4th straight Semifinal after beating a game Starblaydia squad. Qazox will take on Wentland once again, with a berth in the finals on the line.
Qazox's Star striker, Stefany Heisel sat out this game due to her strained ACL, and her replacement, the 18-yr. old phenom, Gretchen Bucci, took her place. It might be permanent, after Bucci's 5 goals in 3 games, but Head Coach Kylie Rena has stated before injury will not lose a starting spot.
Bucci got the ball rolling in the 27th minute with a goal of a nice feed by Denise Vinson, and Qazox was up 1-0. Bucci repaid the favor in the 41st when her leading pass allowed Vinson to score before the half and the Lady Oxen had a 2-0 halftime lead.
Vinson would score once again, this time in the 70th minute making it 3-0. Starblaydia did manage to get one by Gidget Zingarelli, who didn't look a sharp as she has previously, but still was good enough to stop 8 shots on net.
Up next for Qazox is Wentland as mentioned earlier. This is the biggest rivalry in Women's Soccer, and it has been for 5 cups now. These two teams 1st met back at WWC 3 in Liverpool England. Wentland won that 1st match in the elimination round 3-1. The next meeting came at the 1st Summer Olympics where in the Semifinals the two teams met, with Qazox winning a thriller on penalty kicks. Qazox would go on to win the Gold, while Wentland would have to settle for bronze. The 3rd meeting was in the finals of Women's World Cup 4 at Rorysville/Marceau State. Once again the two teams couldn't settle it in regular or extra time and had to go to penalties. And Qazox won again when Kelli Renoir, thru injury scored the winning penalty to give Qazox its 1st Cup.
4 years later, in the semifinals of WWC 5, they met once again, but no penalties this time as Qazox won 2-1. And 4 years ago, once again in the finals Qazox prevailed in extra time 3-2. The 1st Q-cup saw the two teams drawn into the same group, and for the 1st time they drew 1-1 in the opening match, but Qazox won the reamatch a week later 1-0.
Overall Qazox leads the series 5-1-1, but only have scored 10 goals in the 7 matches compared to 9 for Wentland. Should be another classic, but I much as I do not want to admit this, Wentland has played better teams and has played more consistantly than has Qazox this cup. Wentland goes on to its 4th final in 5 tries 2-1.

THEY'VE DONE IT!!!!!!!!!
As the Knockoutround has progressed we've seen the women get stronger and stronger culminating in thier first trip to the finals after some thrilling victories in the Round of 16 and the Semi-finals not to mention the Huge win in the Quarterfinals let's take a look at the three playoff Games so far.
Round of 16
vs. #10 New Montreal States
The Lady Moose took the field energized and stormed the field with a flurrey of chances only to be answered by the NMS Goalkeeper. Until Carrie Banner Took control at the 34th minute and blasted a shot past an outstretched keeper.Sending the Crowd into a boistrious roar and version of the National Anthem. Rorysville would again take control and notch another this time at the start of the second half off the way they needed with a goal by Alexandria Banner at the 56th minute. Things leveled off until the 77th minute when New Montreal States notched a goal making it closer. But the game would end and the Lady Moose would go on to face thier Rival Jeruselem in the Quarterfinals a Battle of Number 3 and 4 in the Quarters would equal an instant classic.

Quarterfinals
vs. #3 Jeruslem
Well with all the marbles here we went again The fourth meeting between these two with Jeruselem taking the most recent in the Q-Cup Rorysville holds the all time series edge 2-1 with two thrilling shootout victories. This one started off with fantastic play on both ends the Young Dalas carring play at times but quickly answered by a suprising game from Erin Banner the half eneded as it started nill-nill.The second half started bad for the Lady Moose as Rashina Dallas netted a goal at the 62nd minute quieting the crowd. The Lady Moose seemed down and out until Erin Banner netted a goal on a header at the 74th minute tieing the game and setting the crowd a blaze with energy.as the half ended tied things had to be decided in extra time. Things looked over when Natasha Greski fired the ball but unfortunatlly for Jeruselem Irina Svenernsky made the save of the century keeping Rorysville alive and some even think that energized the team further RVAC Broadcast "Manery with the ball pushes it further the crowd is getting louder Summers with the ball moving forward a one two...... Summers back to Forrester... Forrester crosses it too Kielty...Kielty Fires It GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!! They've done it!!! Rorysville is moving on" The game would end and once again Jeruselemwent down at the hands of Rorsyville.

HAD TO HAPPEN SOMETIME... BUT WHY NOW??
Qazox-Wentland once again couldn't settle it in regulation or in extra time, but in the penalty shoot-out, something happened that hadn't ever happened before.. the Lady Oxen LOST!!!!
That's right, Qazox will not be in the WWC final for the first time in 16 years as they lost a hard fought match with the Blue-Tits from Wentland. So for the first time since WWC 1, neither Qazox nor Jeruselem will win a title, and one team gets to join the elite sorority of Women's World Cup Champions.
The match started as usual between these two powerhouses, defense, defense, and more defense. Neither side could get much attacking done, while the midfield paly on both sides was superb. Just before half time, Denise Vinson managed to get a good shot off, but Wentland's Anne Foy, in her 4th Cup, managed to deflect it away.
The second half saw some changes as Qazox subbed in Gretchen Bucci, for an not-quite 100% Stefany Heisel, which at the time seemed to be a great move, but one that would cost Qazox later. Bucci took little time to have an impact on the match, scoring in the 50th minute, giving the Lady Oxen a 1-0 lead.
But Wentland had an ace or two up their sleeve, as they, in the 70th minute, subbed in Katie Barnfield for Thalia Pellegrini, and Luisa Matsushita for Stacey Cadman, giving the Blue Tits less experience, but a faster team. Barnfield herself took little time impacting the match as she scored in the 74th minute tying the match at 1-all.
Neither side could get a decent shot on net the rest of regulation, so once again into Extra time they went. Bucci and Barnfield provided the action, with both ladies missing a couple of shots that could have ended it, but the whistle blew, sending it to Penalties one more time.
Up first for Wentland was Rosie Dougall, who missed just over the crossbar.
Qazox' Jeanie Mosley lined up her shot but Anne Foy got to it in the nick of time, edging it out of the near post.
Wentland's second shot went to Kaz Flack, who nipped it past Gidget Zingarelli to make it 1-0.
Saundra Marci Harris, who had been mostly quiet in the Cup, got Foy to jump right when she went left and it was tied at 1-1.
Gwennie Saunders was up next for Wentland, but her shot clanged off the far post.
Sonja Clay came up for Qazox, but surprisingly her shot cleared the crossbar by a good 10 feet, leaving it tied at 1-1.
Wentland's Becky Stephens had little experience at penalties, but she managed to sneak one by Zingarelli and it was 2-1.
Denise Vinson was next for Qazox and Anne Foy looked totally confused as the ball sailed right past her tying it again at 2-2.
Up next was 17 year old Katie Barnfield, and the pressure was mounting, could this young woman fulfill the dreams of an entire nation? She took a couple of steps back and lunged at the ball, and....just over the head of Zingarelli and Wentland was back up 3-2.
Now the pressure shifted to 18-year old Gretchen Bucci, would she crack under the pressure or would it turn her into a diamond? Bucci lined it up took her steps back and hit it off to the left...it curved...curved.. and OFF THE FAR POST......WENTLAND WINS!!!! WENTLAND WINS!!! Bucci sat on the pitch with her jersey covering her face, but she and everyone in the stadium and around the world knew what she was doing, and most were crying as well.
Up next is foreign territory for Qazox, the 3rd place match vs. Spaam. Will the dissapointment of losing such a match, effect how and who Qazox plays? I don't think that it will, and Spaam gets beat 3-1.

As usual the tickets for the semi final had been split four ways. 25% for each of the two teams, 25% for neutrals. And 25% for sponsors and Committee members, with the spares going on general sale.
It was with perhaps some surprise that the Blue Tits entered the field - side-by-side with their sempiternal nemesis Qazox - as they observed full three-quarters of the ground was royal blue.
Captain Kumble had the answer. She was going to save it for the final - if they made it that far...
***
"Time to throw the dice...Lulu and Katie, get changed..."
It was a shattered Cadman and desolate Pellegrini who came off. Both had been hurling themselves against the Oxen defence to little effect and could see their World Cup dreams rapidly vanishing.
But within five minutes all fatigue had been banished. KATIEEEEEE!!!!!
***
Rachel Horne was almost in tears. The knock on the knee was getting worse. She had tried to hooble through but to no avail and she had to come off. "Dammit...that's our best penalty taker off...on you go Conchita..."
"We don't want pennos, boss," said Nikki Griffin. "Four of our best five are not now on the pitch..."
We've got no choice...we can't break through..."
***
"Is NO-ONE up for this?"
The Petterham girls eventually stepped up. "All for one, boss..."
"Good, good..."
Katie Barnfield also stood up. "I'll take the last one...death or glor, that's what I like..."
Finally Bluff submitted five names to the officials. But it was with interest that she noticed Qazox were not ready.
***
The stadium was an absolute cauldron of noise. Supporting Wentland.
It had freaked out the Qazox takers. Their shooting had been erratic at best.
Unfortunately Dougall and Saunders had also been confounded by the noise and missed. Becki Stephens stood over the ball she had placed in a total panic. Both her ream-mates had missed. If she made it nought for three for Petterham the country would not forgive them.
But as the ref blew her whistle to take it she was still stood over the ball. In a royal blue funk she hurriedly took a couple of steps back and struck at the ball eyes closed.
She opened them to see the ball looping high as the goalie went low...and the ball dipped under the bar. "OH MY GOD!!!!! IT'S THERE!!!!!"
Stephens got booked for her exuberant celebration as she hurled herself into the crowd. But she didn't care. Wentland were in control for the first time.
***
"She looks terrified..."
"Funny choice, boss...an 18 year old to save the game..."
"Like a 17 year old to win it?"
"But listen to the crowd...it's virulent..."
"True...well, here she goes.."

"Last minute...Saunders...running herself daft...here's Flack...has she done it? She has done..."
The ball crashed off the underside of the bar. Katie Barnfield following in turned away in jubilation whilst a Lady Moose defender cleared for a throw.
The commentator continued. "Yes...no...the linesman says yes..."
The referee ran over to consult. Amidst a flurry of pointing she turned around and indicated a throw-in.
"No, it's no goal...the Blue Tits go mad at the referee..."
Edwina Bluff watched the video again and again and again. The ball was clearly over the line. By a good foot. Kaz Flack had been denied the greatest moment in Wentland history.
A dispirited Wentland took a throw in. The ball was lost to a Rorysville defender. A kick downfield, the Wentland defence was distracted as some people had come onto the pitch thinking it was all over. Carrie Banner hit it and it was now.
