The National Government had held Maraccedia since its creation for 10 years. The National Government was mainly lead by the centrist Liberal Party, which although was likened by supporters of the party, was deeply opposed by right wing and left wing parties. At last, on the 1st of November, the Government was dissolved in order for the General Election on the 22nd.

The Seats up for election are for both the House of Peoples and the House of Representatives. Both houses are based entirely on Proportional Representation.

The House of Peoples

Liberal Party - Proportion of Vote: 62% - Number of Seats: 248

Conservative Party - Proportion of Vote: 21.5% - Number of Seats: 86

Socialist Party - Proportion of Vote: 10.5% - Number of Seats: 42

Democratic Alliance - Proportion of Vote: 4.5% - Number of Seats: 18

Maraccedian Coalition of Progressive Greens - Proportion of Vote: 1% - Number of Seats: 6

Kernow Gwlasek Kyfvewy - Proportion of Vote: 0.3% - Number of Seats: 1

Other Parties without enough votes to sustain seats - Proportion of Vote: 0.2% - Number of Seats: 0

The Liberal Party takes the House of Peoples with a majority of 148 seats.

The Liberal Party have an overall majority by controlling one more State Council than its opponents.

Henceforth, the Liberal Party shall become the Party of Government for Maraccedia and shall do it's duty to serve and protect, to embellish and continue embellishments, to help and deliver and ultimately to create a better Maraccedia for all Maraccedians.

The Emperor and Senate send its congratualtions to the Liberal Party for succesfully winning a corruption free election and maintaning fairness and and equality at all times. As always we fully support the Maraccedian Government and its continuous work on maintaning peace and Aesopian Culture.
