OOC: This is a closed sporting event. As in, it's an invitational, and all teams have been decided. However, everyone else is still welcome to post RPs about their teams if they so wish, if it somehow ties in with anything here.

FALE appoint Lunson as chairman
The FALE Board of Directors have unanimously appointed outgoing national team manager Thomas Lunson as the new chairman of the organisation, citing a need for continuity within the Liverpool England footballing structure. Lunson has already appointed his successor for the manager's job in Fmjphoneician Jorge Mendel, an attacking-minded coach, and has already laid out plans to restructure the domestic league.

His most important move so far, though, seems to be the organising of the 4th Four Nations' Invitational - the third Liverpool England has hosted, although the nation has never won the tournament, with The Belmore Family winning the inaugural cup which they hosted, and Starblaydia and Milchama picking up wins in the other two holdings of the event.

This time, it promises to be interesting, with three full-strength teams confirmed, the first time the FNI will see full 'A' national teams since the inaugural championship, with the second and third versions seeing "B", "C" and under-21 teams only.

Pacitalia (although it is speculated that Pacitalia will send their under-21 squad, as they do not have an established full strength national team that takes part in World Cups).

Format:
All matches are played in Liverpool England. Each team plays every other team three times in a round-robin group phase (9 games) [1 game every day RL time]. The top two teams will meet for a fourth time to decide the champion (hence a team with less points than another can still be the champion), while the bottom two teams will similarly do so, to save pride.

Basically, this isn't really a cup which is based around RP. I'd like it if you RPed, but in the past, this cup hasn't been associated with RP, which isn't a problem. If you RP, I'm willing to give a higher bonus.

Scorination:
NS FootySim, with standard -5 to +5 tactic style (+5 most attacking).
KPB points will be used, with Pacitalia being given the KPB points of the lowest team rounded downwards to the nearest 5.

Our top team has been a distinguished and perennial championship candidate in the Atlantian Oceanian Cup of Association Football (AOCAF), and is currently ranked fourth out of over forty participant nations.

A group of H1SR, H2SR and The League players (plus the oddballs from lower leagues) was waiting at the airport in Sike. There is no real reason why the Orange-Blues always depart from Sike kali to their tournaments except tradition. They were training in Asxenu, which is on the Hetaklian peninsula, took a domestic flight to Sike only to fly from there and not from Hetkali. The parties of the rejistani Liside Veran (Green list) are against that tradition since in their opinion, domestic flights are a waste of ressources. The new players were rather excited, the more experienced ones were also excited but did not show that. Hexatux or Jenji Y made the biggest changes in the A-team in a long time and many players feared they would be thrown out in case they mess up. The person, who was not excited at all was Lyku Xiu. This is not because he is cool like ice, but because he was worrying about his mother. His mother is no one less but Syku Xiu, the First Lentine of Rejistania and the nation was in a crisis due to the Okielahoma incidents. When they were on the plane, Lyku quickly fell asleep. Suddenly goalkeeper Hara woke him up. "Lyku, good news!!" he shouted through the plane "Kholkoh~si leave the League, just came on the radio!" After that. the Orange-Blues started celebrating.

Sharks Come Out Flailing Like A Fish Outta Water

The Quakmybush National Soccer team played their first match in the Four Nations Invitational. They took on host nation Liverpool England. The Sharks came out with energy. In the 7th minute Jon Fields rang a shot off of the crossbar. Then in the 12th minute Cory Sorley took a shot and Liverpool England's keeper Jake Wilkinson made a spectacular save to keep the score 0-0. The rest of the half went on without much action. The teams went to the locker rooms at 0-0. It was Liverpool England's time to shine in the second. Someone must have put something in their Gatorade, because it was not the same team from the first half. Less then a minute in Damion rang a shot of the post. Then in the 50th minute Liverpool England made it 1-0 when Damion came down the wing and fired a shot that found the corner, making it 1-0 Liverpool England. The Sharks made their best effort to come back in the game however it was more posts and crossbars. The game ended 1-0 Liverpool England. Althought the Sharks lost the game, however with Liverpool England being ranked further ahead then Quakmybush, it was a good match. The Sharks will next face Pacitalia, who came up short against Rejistania 1-0.

Orange-Blues win first match

The Orange-Blues tried to make up some sympathy after their embarrassing performance in anything resembling an official competition. The Orange-Blues defeated the Pcitalian national team by a not too convincing 1:0 win, but the fans were already satisfied that their national team did not lose highly. The Lasane emphasized on defense most of the time so chants from the Karelan period in Rejistanian history were satirically chanted.

Most of the time, the match was a painful stalemate in which the former victories of the Orange-Blues appeared highly ironic and even more far away than they were. The fans once again realized the mediocracy of the Lasane. The only positive impressions were Ka~nsu Kansu and Heje Kija. The 1:0 was more luck than skill: Linux Aseru's shot was indirected by the defender Comanescu'he.

A reminder that the final group standings only decide which teams play in the final or 3PPO; it is possible for the 4th placed team in the group stage to finish 3rd (as the Liverpool England u21s, who finished 8 pts ahead of the Fmjphoenix u21s, so cruelly found out last time around).

Liverpool England show attacking prowess
Liverpool England have continued their good start under new manager Jorge Mendel, racking up a convincing 4-2 victory over Rejistania. While most fans in Liverpool England expected the win, few were anticipating such a resounding win. Rejistania actually took a 2-0 lead going into half-time, with goals from Vetu Xeda and Lyku Xiu.

Whatever Mendel said at half-time must have made a difference, though, with four unanswered goals in the space of 20 minutes in the second half, starting with Damion's outrageous effort from 35 yards which even former national goalkeeper Adam Carrero, working as a pundit for Radio Sports Folenisa, admitted he probably would not have been able to save. Seth Fair added two goals while Cory Carson picked up the final goal 13 minutes from time.

After the match, Mendel was quick to praise his attackers, and confirmed rumours that the FALE had offered him a long-term contract running through the end of World Cup 33.
