Jeruselem
08-11-2006, 14:27
IC
Jeruselem's womens team (called the Angels, but they aren't angels at all)

Style = +1 (4-4-2)

It's 4-4-2 but it's really 4-2-2-2

Coach - John Jerk, WWC5 coach
Reporter - Dazza once again (yeah her)

GK Jihad Jane, 24 - She's nuts. It's Holy war if you score a goal against her. Nothing get past the goal line without a fight.
GK Megan Sunni, 21 - tall girl but quick mover. Doesn't say much unless you call her a lesbian.

DEF - Asha Mosha, 21 - Spends a lot of time standing around goal posts because she's tall.
* DEF - Zizzi Zidane, 28 - Headbutts people who irritate her.
* DEF - Fetha Gosha Asha, 28 - Throws the ball with one hand and sometimes halfway across the field.
DEF - Stuka Bomba, 26 - Little German girl who crashed into defenses when you least expect it. Doesn't like too much attention from opposing defenders though.
DEF - Silly Filly, 16 - Small girl with little going except she tries 200%. Lack of skill is her problem but she never gives up at all.
DEF - Rashina Dallas, 19 - One of Debbie Dallas's daughters. Another Dallas girl to terrorise the women's soccer world. Professional gymnast before following Dazza into the soccer field.

MID - Faith Fumbles, 15 - Distant relative of Dazza Dalllas's husband. Someone who can trust to do a job without fuss or drama.
*^ MID - Anna Goldstein, 32 - Not the JGN reporter but her 6th cousin. Small and hard to catch (CAPTAIN)
MID - Farrah Sheba, 24 - Megababe! Does modelling on the side.
MID - Sassani Alba Fa Jihad, 28, plays everygame like it's holy war. Prone to red cards
^ MID - Dazza Dallas, 26 younger sister of Debbie Dallas. Plays soccer the Italian way! VICE CAPTAIN. IQ of 140, TV reporter, geek and radio star. Attention whore from HELL. Married to Finn Fumbles now with one child.
MID - Mousi, 29. Single name player. Quiet as a mouse, the quiet achiever on the team.

STK - Lindsay Lohan, 20 - Name of an actress and she is one on the field as well. Has some skill when she tries.
STK - Cue Epie, 23 - A dumb version of Dazza Dallas without the personality. Skillful but sometimes need a whack in the head to get a message.
* STK - Jo Guest, 30 - Small short girl who is useless at headers but fantastic at milking free kicks (like Dazza)
STK - Bobina Grosso, 24 - Tall striker who make life really hard for short people.

* Retiring players
^ Anna Goldstein as official Captain as reward for her service to the Jeruselem team since she was a teenager. Dazza is demoted to vice-captain but is still the driving force behind the team.

<<AND>>>
<<Pretty much anything excepting death, destruction and red cards. No RPing Dazza as well but you can make her a goal scorer. Comments about Dazza's lack of inhibition is fine - just do it>>
Cafundeu
08-11-2006, 18:33
Womens World Cup 6 - Cafundeu's chosen 23:

The CFFC(Confederação de Futebol Feminino de Cafundéu - in English, the Cafundéu's Female Football Confederation), after a long time of preparations between the directors of the teams and the national coach, are sending the 23 players that will play the competition.

The coach of the National Team, Fabrício Barglaux, chose yesterday the players that he'll bring to the host country for the competition. The list didn't have major surprises, only with the call-up of Jessica Polaco and Sandra Batistinha. Most of the supporters were waiting for a call-up of his wife Tânia Barglaux, but she wasn't chosen.

The list is well-balanced, and was approved by all the members of the CFFC. The CFFC also said that that the host country can use the most famous referees of Cafundeu in the competition, Carla Almahda and Karine Lagos Souza, the first is more impatient but great with the rules and with good vision, and the second knows how to deal with the players but makes some mistakes. More details about the players and the coaching staff you can see below:

See the 23 players:

Goalkeepers:

1-CAROLINE Frescho (Team: Atlético Jutense)
Height: 190cm - Weight: 65kg - Date of Birth: 12/04/1977(29 years old)
First team player of the National Team for 8 years, it's one of the favourite players of the coach and the supporters. Has very solid appearances and is good in saving penalties, but isn't very good in corners. She has a high resistance too, it's very difficult to see her injured or hurt. She is very happy with her salary and personal life.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: B

12-RENATA MOTTA (Team: Cafundó do Juta)
Height: 186cm - Weight: 80kg - Date of Birth: 28/02/1970(36 years old)
Renata is an experienced goalkeeper who is reaching her final years in professional football. Although in last years she is overweight and had two sons, she can still play well and help the team. She probably won't be used in the championship, but her career was very successful.
Rating: C - Team Relationship: C - Morale: B - Form: C

22-ZENAIDE Cupuaçu de Souza Melo (Team: Dunboor FC)
Height: 185cm - Weight: 62kg - Date of Birth: 02/10/1982(24 years old)
Probably the second choice of the coach, Zenaide has improved a lot in her last seasons in Grama Verde, and this year she was sold to the huge club Dunboor FC. She was the best goalkeeper of Cafundéu's Second Divison last season and deserved a place in the NT after good performances and a regular style of play.
Rating: C - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A

Right Defenders:

2-VANESSA Van Tocco (Team: SC Lasft)
Height: 178cm - Weight: 60kg - Date of Birth: 18/09/1985(21 years old)
A good players, likes to attack and crosses well, but isn't very good in defending. She is extremely obedient and respect all the decisions of the coach, and it helped her a lot in winning a place in the first team, although this is disliked by her partners. Her crossings are lethal. Still young, can improve more with the experience to play such an important competition. It's the nephew of the Emperor of Cafundéu Hector Van Tocco.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: D - Morale: B - Form: A

14-JESSICA Polaco (Team: Royal Pollvogarad)
Height: 170cm - Weight: 58kg - Date of Birth: 01/07/1980(26 years old)
Playing in a minor team of Cafundéu's First Division, Jessica was surprised by her convocation. But she is a good right-back, more defensive than Vanessa, with a completely different style of game. She is very nice, and her teammates love her. Is waiting to go to a better club after the competition.
Rating: C - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: B

Left Defenders:

6-GABRIELA Tamarov (Team: SC Lasft)
Height: 168cm - Weight: 56kg - Date of Birth: 19/03/1976(30 years old)
Another good player of SC Lasft, Gabriela is a strange person. She became nervous easily and already fought with many players and refs. Her personal life is full of strange histories too. In the field, like her teammate Vanessa, she likes to attack and cross the ball in the area, but it's a bit more defensive and doesn't obey the coach very much.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: C - Form: B

15-Marcela Alves Nogueira "RAPOSA" (Team: Dunboor FC)
Height: 160cm - Weight: 50kg - Date of Birth: 30/12/1985(20 years old)
Won her nickname(that means "fox") because of her velocity and fast decisions, that made her famous. Likes to run very much and to pass the ball fast, touching it only one time. But she can't finish well and her tacking is normal. But she is a great option for the coach.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: B

Central Defenders:

3-Cristiana Mendoza Aragonés "CRIS" (Team: Dunboor FC)
Height: 177cm - Weight: 70kg - Date of Birth: 22/08/1976(30 years old)
Came from Spain and got a Cafundéu nationality in 2000. Is one of the most famous players of the country and won 6 times the trophy of best defender of the country(1998, 2000, 2001, 2004, 2005 and 2006). Doesn't like to attack, so she stays most time of the game in the defense, but her tackings are efficient and secure, without violence. Can be considered one of the most valuable players of the squad.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: A

4-NATÁLIA ALVES Craverna (Team: Military Force(PEG))
Height: 188cm - Weight: 72kg - Date of Birth: 18/11/1977(28 years old)
One of the few players that play in a foreign club(from Pegaladrão), Natália Alves is a good defender, but very irregular, making wonderful games and horrible mistakes. She is very tall, so is a natural option for a header to the goal. She trains hard and is very professional.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: C - Morale: A - Form: A

13-BEATRIZ Caravelas (Team: Submiria)
Height: 170cm - Weight: 60kg - Date of Birth: 23/05/1983(23 years old)
She is the twin sister of the midfielder Fernanda Caravelas. Plays in a medium-sized team of the First Division of Cafundéu, and is a regular defender with good protection of the ball, and likes to clear the ball as soon as she get it. She is very timid, but her teammates usually like her.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: B

21-SANDRA BATISTINHA (Team: Clube de Lux)
Height: 162cm - Weight: 56kg - Date of Birth: 29/06/1988(18 years old)
A promising young player who is in her second season as professional and already is in the National Team. But she is very weaker than the other defenders of the NT, and probably won't be used. She had some family problems and her husband(who was 10 years older than her) left her, so she is unmotivated and with a recent poor form. Has long black hair, dark eyes and a dark skin.
Rating: C - Team Relationship: B - Morale: D - Form: C

Defensive Midfielders:

5-LETÍCIA Cabral Olivieri (Team: Penders)
Height: 165cm - Weight: 50kg - Date of Birth: 08/10/1984(22 years old)
2 years ago she was the substitute of the star Isabelle Parauabebas, but 18 months ago Isabelle was pregnant and Letícia got her place. In the start of this year Isabelle had her son, but Letícia became a star in the football world, with excellent games and beautiful plays. She is very good in creating plays and passing the ball. Her defensive ability is normal and her finishing too. She is fast and has much will to fight in the games. Outside the field she is very famous too, she was one of the most famous top models of Cafundéu and is still one of the beautiful women in the country.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: B - Morale: A - Form: A

16-VIVIANE PAQUETÁ (Team: Atlético Jutense)
Height: 165cm - Weight: 55kg - Date of Birth: 28/11/1981(24 years old)
Viviane Paquetá is one of the most famous players of the country, but mainly because of her personal life than because of her talent. In the field he is a defensive midfielder who controls the ball a lot and waits for the best moment to pass. Sometimes she even returns to the defense to play as a defender, and she doesn't like to attack. Outside the field she gets involved in a lot of confusions, gets drunk easily and is a bad driver.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: B

20-Marina Machado Souza-Pilus "MAZINHA" (Team: Central United)
Height: 156cm - Weight: 50kg - Date of Birth: 02/04/1980(26 years old)
Mazinha is the main midfielder of Central United since 2001, but in the last years her performances weren't very good. She is having many problems with injuries(including a surgery in 2004). But most of the supporters still think that she can help the country. When she is playing, she likes to go to attack sometimes and shot many times from outside the area, and she is very good at it, although she lacks physical strength.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: C - Form: D

Neutral Midfielders:

8-ALICE Alvarenga Moura (Team: SC Lasft)
Height: 170cm - Weight: 60kg - Date of Birth: 12/02/1986(20 years old)
Alice won the last 2 prizes of best midfielder in Cafundéu, and she was only 18 years old when she won the first one! Her talent is enormous and her intelligence and knowledge of tatics is very important. She can create plays out of nowhere and can make perfect dribbles, passes and finishes. But she isn't very good in tacking and she fouls her opponents very much. She has a natural leadership, so she will probably be the captain of the NT. She is having some problems in SC Lasft with her teammates and with the salary, so she'll play for Dunboor FC next season, but her morale is low now.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: B - Morale: C - Form: A

17-JOSEANE Moreira Falcus Makas (Team: Elville EC)
Height: 180cm - Weight: 63kg - Date of Birth: 07/09/1978(28 years old)
Joseane played 8 years for the big club of Atlético Jutense, but last year she was transferred to Elville EC, a medium-sized team. She is a quiet but impatient person, and doesn't like training sessions. She is the wife of the Minister of Sports Samuel Makas and has one daughter. When she plays, she likes to defend and to disarm the opponent and to send the ball directly to the attack, and she do it well. In short passes she isn't very good.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: C - Morale: B - Form: B

Attacking Midfielders:

7-Fernanda Caravelas "NANDA" (Team: Submiria)
Height: 172cm - Weight: 62kg - Date of Birth: 23/05/1983(23 years old)
Twin sister of Beatriz Caravelas, Nanda is an expert in free kicks and penalties. Her accuracy is perfect. Her other abilities aren't special, she passes well, dribbles well, finishes well but isn't very good in creating plays. She is playing in the same team of her sister, but this year she got an offer from SC Lasft. Her personal life is very restricted and she doesn't like to be famous, avoiding the press. She also isn't very interested in winning more money.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: A

11-FERNANDA Xavier GARCIA (Team: Penders)
Height: 171cm - Weight: 66kg - Date of Birth: 15/12/1984(21 years old)
Penders is the club that reveals the most famous stars of Cafundéu, and Fernanda Garcia is one of them. "The Dribble Machine" is her nickname. She can dribble most opponents easily, and likes to humiliate them, and this is her major flaw(because she tries to make a wonderful dribble when she can do a normal dribble). She controls the ball and passes it very well. She finishes well, but she didn't try to finish very much, giving the goal to her partners. So, she can be considered the best player of the NT right now.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A

23-Daniela Capixaba dos Louros "DANI" (Team: Cardeais do Norte(DLH))
Height: 178cm - Weight: 78kg - Date of Birth: 02/01/1966(40 years old)
Out of form and approaching the end of her career, the NT was the homage given by the CFFC. All the players respect her and like her, and she is really happy to play this competition. She plays in a religious team of Deus Lhepague(another country) and will retire next year. She probably won't play, but her style is a risky style, shooting many times from outside the area.
Rating: D - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: D

Attackers:

9-ANA Laura LOPES Veller (Team: Atlético Jutense)
Height: 173cm - Weight: 58kg - Date of Birth: 29/03/1983(23 years old)
Ana Lopes is the most deadly striker of Cafundéu. She can score in many different ways, with her right foot, left foot, head or with strange ways. If she enters the area, half goal was already made. She can control even the most difficult balls and scores from every possible angle. But her dribble isn't perfect(she depends very much of the midfielders). She was the top scorer of the league last season with 40 goals in 50 games, a record, and is on top form. But she had a fight with her teammate Zélia(that is on the NT too) last week.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: A

10-ANA PAULA Tobiashiy Klaeigh (Team: SC Lasft)
Height: 175cm - Weight: 60kg - Date of Birth: 31/07/1979(27 years old)
Ana Paula is very good at heading. Good in dribbling too, she can create more plays than Ana Lopes, but it's less deadly. She scores a lot of goals too, but can't make incredible shots or plays, she is very solid and accurate. In SC Lasft the fans love her and because of that she rejected an offer from Dunboor FC last season. She is very confident and a bit arrogant.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: A - Form: A

18-ZÉLIA Vilela Lacerda de Jesus (Team: Atlético Jutense)
Height: 162cm - Weight: 63kg - Date of Birth: 13/08/1975(31 years old)
A classical "second attacker" that helps the striker to score, and she is very good at it. Dribbles well and passes even better. Her positioning is very good. Only her finishing that isn't so good(but isn't bad). Until few months her relationship with teammate Ana Lopes was very good, but they discussed and now the situation is misterious. Had a baby last year, so the form isn't at the top.
Rating: C - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: C

19-KELLY Ottwest Zacarias (Team: Corinthians II(BRAII))
Height: 188cm - Weight: 61kg - Date of Birth: 21/04/1984(22 years old)
This very tall attacker, that plays in a foreign club(from Brazil II). She has a lot of potential, but her ability isn't so good now. She is tall, but her heading is poor. She is very good at dribbling, but nothing really special. Her personal life isn't much known and she looks happy.
Rating: C - Team Relationship: B - Morale: A - Form: B

Staff:

Coach: Fabrício BARGLAUX (Cafundéu NT exclusive)
Height: 178cm - Weight: 85kg - Date of Birth: 02/12/1961(44 years old)
Former player of Central United male team, was invited in 2004 to coach the womens NT. His wife(Tânia, 35 years old) played most of the NT games, but she is out of the WC, a strange decision. He is a calm coach, and gives very much freedom to his players. His style of training isn't tough, and it's very relaxing, so the players like him. But in the field he is a good tactician and likes to see everything perfect. When he was a player, he was an attacking midfielder very good in dribbling. Is happy to be in this competition, but has some personal problems
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Confidence: B

Assistant Coach: MELISSA ARAGUAIA (Former Penders coach)
Height: 160cm - Weight: 71kg - Date of Birth: 29/06/1945(61 years old)
One of the best coaches of Cafundéu, Melissa has an enormous experience that can help a lot the National Team. Was the coach of Penders until 2005, when she was invited by the CFFC to help Barglaux to build the team. Likes the players that play in Penders and in Atlético Jutense, and dislikes Dunboor FC. Wants disciplined and obedient players and don't like confusions and fights.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: C - Morale: B - Confidence: A

Spy and Physical Trainer: XAVIER Jordão Jacarezinho (Former SC Lasft)
Height: 202cm - Weight: 98kg - Date of Birth: 30/05/1973(33 years old)
Former physical trainer of SC Lasft, "The black monster", as he is called by his friends and by the press, is very good in helping the players to get in shape. He is very friendly and is friend of all the players and the directors. He is very intelligent too and can help the coach with many other things. His family didn't want to see him travelling to another country, but he wanted to take this opportunity.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: C - Confidence: B

Entertainer: SERGINHO MALLANDRO (Former TV Gazeta)
Height: 175cm - Weight: 88kg - Date of Birth: ???(above 40 years old)
The players and the staff need to be relaxed to play all the games. So, Serginho Mallandro's job is to make jokes, play games and help to make everybody happy. Sometimes he can be a bit annoying with his phrases like "Glu-glu", or "Bilu-bilu tetéia" and other ones, and even the directors don't like him very much, but he will stay with the NT.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: C - Morale: B - Confidence: D

Doctor: Dra. CECÍLIA KALAMARES (Former Juta Hospital)
Height: 172cm - Weight: 68kg - Date of Birth: 01/09/1960(46 years old)
One of the most famous doctors in Cafundéu, Cecília is well paid and got this well deserved position. Is ready to take care of any injured player or member of the staff(many times Serginho Mallandro when someone gets irritated with him). She has some assistants that can help her too, including the masseur Tonho Dozorno.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Confidence: A

(Obs: Ratings and the other stats were only made to compare the stats of the players between my team)

The formation: Barglaux has 2 options of formations:

-The first one(most probably used) is to use a 3-5-2 putting Viviane in the defense and using the right and left backs as midfielders. It's a more offensive strategy but the quality can decrease. See:

--------------------Caroline--------------------
--------Cris----Viviane Paquetá-------N.Alves---
--Vanessa-----------Letícia-----------Gabriela--
---------Fernanda Garcia-------Alice------------
-----------Ana Lopes----------Ana Paula--------

-The second is to use a basic 4-4-2 using the best players of the team, but with lesser use of tactics. Fernanda Garcia can go to attack, changing it to a 4-3-3. See:

--------------------Caroline--------------------
--Vanessa------Cris---------N.Alves---Gabriela--
--------------------Letícia---------------------
----------Nanda----------------Alice-----------
---------------Fernanda Garcia------------------
----------Ana Lopes------------Ana Paula-------

So there's our schedule and the other teams in our Group. With the exceptions of Liverpool England and Sativaville, we've never faced these teams before, so there is an element of suprise that could happen. The match against LE on Day 6 is a rematch of WWC 5's semifinal that went to penalties. The winner of that match is most likely assured a spot in the Quarterfinals, while the loser, could go home early.

Tommorrow We'll preview our group and the others and give our predictions as to who will meet whom in the Knockouts and your votes from QSPN.com as to who the fans think will win it all.

The head coach of the Ermines kept looking at the schedule handed to her.

"SHIT" was all she could say.

"Ma'am?" her aide replied.

"Well.. we're just about screwed. The Defending Champs and the Hosts?? how the hell do they expect me to improve out team if we're stuck in the toughest group?" The coach wondered.

"I don't know that ma'am.. but what about the press conference?" the aide replied.

"Tell them I'm sick.. I'll do it tommorrow." the Head Coach answerd, pulling out a bottle of Ganja Vodka.

E - Toranat(18)

MD4 - Rorysville v Jeruselem (3)
MD5 - Jeruselem v Toranat (4)
MD6 - Jeruselem v Green Wombat (1)
MD7 - Jeruselem v Starblaydia (2)

Anna: Err, great Starblaydia and the hosts Rorysville ...
Dazza: Now, what's the matter? It's the hosts who worry us at all, it's err Starblaydia.

Anna: We shouldn't have trouble against Anastasiania, Toranat and Green Wombat but we might not finish in top spot.
Dazza: Hey, don't worry. We just get all the points we need and more. Jeruselem have never failed to make the quarter-finals.

Anna: But this could the first time. Look at Yafor 2 last world cup!
Dazza: Look, I've been captain in the mens and womens game - this team can do it. Come on, all we have to is apply ourselves. Look at our record, the last defeat was against Qazoz I think and before that Starblaydia. Only good teams can beat us.

Anna: I'm just nervous being captain - that should have been your job.
Dazza: I'm here and I'm here to help. We can sort this out. You've played enough games to work out what to do. Come on, you're retiring but retire with some style - a women's world cup.

Anna: Hey, how's the family?
Dazza: It's alright. My son is accident prone like his Mum - me, but not sure if he's going to be an extravert or intravert yet. Maybe he'll be balanced! God knows. He's in good hands with my sister's kids - they can take of him until I return.

Anna: How's Finn?
Dazza: Damn Protestants are still hassling him to return to their church - he's now a Catholic like me although people find it hard to believe that sometimes too. He's not going back, he's had enough of their mind control.

Anna: Better get back to the football. Err, how's this formation look? I just want some ideas to give to the coach.
Dazza: Swap those two around - Filly is slow as a snail on drugs. Why am I on the right and why Lindsay?

Anna: Good point, drop Lindsay and you are supposed to be in the left.
Dazza: Looks alright now!

Anna: Oh, this is for you. <hands Dazza a letter>
Dazza: Oh, movie role offer - in a porno.

Anna: Explains why it was sealed so well.
Wentland

Edwina Bluff had a problem.

The showing in WCV had not been as expected. There were few problems with the defence, save for an unusual lack of discipline that seemed to have taken Ellie Crisell and she was still doing penance for her possible World Cup costing red card.

No, the problems were up front.

Gemma Hunt had still not recovered her confidence after missing the penalty in the final of WCIV. Mo Sule had not really stepped up to the plate and Honey Weeks was past her best.

But the real disaster was the form of Thalia Pellegrini.

In recent international friendlies she had not found the net. Her club form had dipped to the extent that she was no longer an automatic choice. She was still the leading scorer for Wentland, but could she be included in the WCV squad? Could she be left out?

Bluff had fortunately found a star in the making. Kaz Flack - the Flack Attack - had been bedevelling defences in the Women's Premiership and had stolen Gemma Hunt's thunder at Esford Dynamo. Indeed her goals had been instrumental in the Dynamos reclaiming the title.

And there were other stars. The Petterham team had come from nowhere to real contention (and Cup winners) thanks to the midfield trio of Becky Stephens, Gwennie Saunders and Rose Dougall, who worked in harmony with each other to dominate the middle park. They were obvious inclusions in the squad, but the problem was accommodating them; best with each other in the middle, they did not mix well. It was a gamble choosing them as they really forced the formation to 4-1-3-1-2 or similar. Certainly after injuries put paid to Pui Lee's season the choice was easier.

So a few names were easy. But the others...

Bluff thought about it. She went for a walk. Eventually she decided. Toss a coin. Tails. Best of three.

She got her marker pen and wrote out the squad. There. It's settled now.

Half-an-hour later she screwed up the paper and threw it into the waste paper basket. It was full now.

CFFC's analysis of the group:

Northern States Group
A-Sativaville(25)
B-Cafundeu(UNR)
C-Qazox(2)
D-Spaam(12)
E-Montegrande(22)
F-Liverpool England(5)

In a press conference with NT director Erasmo Carlos Jowenguard and with the coach Fabrício Barglaux.

REPORTER: Mr. Jowenguard, do you think that Cafundeu can make a good job in the cup?
JOWENGUARD: I hope so. The group is difficult, but our team is well prepared and are ready to do their best. A good job isn't necessarily finish in second or in first, just play good games.

REPORTER: What about you, Mr. Barglaux? The team is ready for this group?
BARGLAUX: I can't say that we were expecting an easy group, but surely we weren't expecting such a difficult group. But we won't give up, we'll fight to win all the games, do our best and maybe even try to get a place in the second phase.

REPORTER: Did you already choose the formation for the first game?
BARGLAUX: Yes, and I can say it now. We'll play the first game in a 4-4-2, with Caroline, Vanessa, Gabriela, Cris and Natália Alves; Letícia, Alice, Joseane and Fernanda Garcia; Ana Lopes and Ana Paula.

REPORTER: There is one surprise. We weren't expecting Joseane in the starting eleven.
BARGLAUX: Yes, I know. The strongest options were Viviane or Nanda, but I think that the team needs to be more balanced for the first game, not too offensive or defensive. But in the next games everything can change.

REPORTER: Do you like this formation, Jowenguard?
JOWENGUARD: Of course. But, even if I don't like it, I have no right to complain. Fabrício is the coach and he knows what is the best for the team.

REPORTER: What about the rumors? Some influent people said that the president of the CFFC, Ariella Grahna, obligated Barglaux to drop his wife from the NT. Another is that you believed that Zélia would be a better second attacker than Ana Paula, and that the assistant coach Melissa Araguaia doesn't like the players that play in Dunboor FC. There are many others that I won't comment now.
JOWENGUARD: And neither I will comment these ones.

REPORTER: So, just to finish, what do you expect from this cup, coach?
BARGLAUX: I'm expecting good games, everybody trying to win. And I hope to see a good performance from my team, even against the best teams.

REPORTER: Thank you.

Rordettes World Cup Update

Rordia have just arrived in Rorysville for Women's World Cup 6. This is their fourth attempt at winning the trophy, and they are in the ISLANDS GROUP with Quakmybush, Wentland, Hakari and Okielahoma. With only two of these teams progressing to the Quarter Finals, Rordia's chances of going through look pretty slim.
But head coach Charlotte Mayer is optimistic. She said: "Last time round, we were in a much tougher group. And towards the end, fatigue clearly started to show in our players. But now we've got a three-day break after the first match, so that will help us greatly.
"Although we're not going to make it to the Quarters, if we finish 3rd in our group, I'll be happy. We'll get past Okielahoma, no problem. I also think we've got a bit of a chance of beating Hakari or Quakmybush, but Wentland will be a very tough obstacle."

In WWC5, Rordia finished 5th in their seven-team group, with six points and just one win. Rordian fans expect their team to finish 3rd or 4th in Rorysville, but one fan said "We're going to win the whole thing!". He was promptly arrested for stupidity.

The most notable change from the last WWC is the captain. Kelly Richardson resigned, and the armband was handed to her fellow midfielder Imogen Abergynolwyn. Before the team set off for Rorrysville, Imogen said: "Vill do our velly bess." Nope, I can't understand that, either.

Rordia will once again use a 4-4-2 formation, but they will use a +1 style this time round.

RORDIA'S SQUAD
Goalkeepers
1. Lucy Bare, 30, Eisenhower
Lucy has been our number 1 for three consecutive WWCs now. And just like a fine wine, she seems to be getting better with age.
13. Frankie Nowland, 24, Rordic City Bluebirds
Nowland has been promoted to Bare's understudy after Pauline Docker broke her leg. A high-profile move to Docker's Bluebirds has helped her greatly.
20. Ninija Omaboe, 25, Tigre Rossa
Uncapped goalie Omaboe is a big star in the Rordian league. Not because she's a celebrity, but she's 6ft 2in tall and weighs 18st.
Defenders
2. Claire Bayley, 24, Rordic City Redheads
The redhead hothead has become an integral part of the Rordia side. But 'Ginger' has been warned that if she steps out of line again, she will be dropped.
3. Joanne Childress-Turner, 30, Rordic City Bluebirds
Joanne is a big celebrity in Rordia, as she is married to Qazox's Andrea Childress-Turner. On the pitch, she is a very tough tackler.
6. Becky Lewis, 27, Tigre Rossa
Lewis is Rordia's vice captain, and always knows how to spur on her team-mates. She would have been skipper if it wasn't for an argument with Mayer.
12. Leona Statham, 23, Eisenhower
One of the Rordettes' rookies, Leona is renowned for her marking and passing ability. However, her strength is something that needs working on.
15. Alison Moreau, 33, Prenton County
Defender/singer Alison will retire from football after this WWC. She might also quit singing, after "Yelling Out Your Surname" reached #104.
17. Carly Reed, 22, Rordic City Bluebirds
Reed is an alopecia suffer, but she hasn't let that affect her football. She always knows how to mark an opposing striker out of the game.
Midfielders
4. Lucy Harper, 27, Catt City
Speedy winger Harper recently became a regular in the starting XI. But will her lack of WWC experience hamper her performances in Rorysville?
5. Nicki Cooper, 28, Rordic City Bluebirds
Nicki is skilful, a talented crosser, and the fans love singing her song. It goes "You're so vain, I bet you think this song is about you".
7. Imogen Abergynolwyn, 27, Rordic City Redheads
After Kelly Richardson gave up the armband, Imogen was made captain. She is one of the Rordette's best players, and she can turn a game around in seconds.
8. Kelly Richardson, 33, Xaviettes
Richardson is no longer captain, but she is still a key player in central midfield. She has many strengths - passing, scoring, heading, you name it.
11. Bianca Griffiths, 23, Rordic City Bluebirds
This scaredy cat is no longer one of the first-choice wingers. But she has vowed to win back her place, no matter what it takes.
16. Katie Phillips, 26, Tigre Rossa
Phillips can play just about anywhere in midfield. She will miss the first game with a calf strain, but she'll be back for the other three.
Forwards
9. Maria Baker, 24, Rordic City Bluebirds
She's a top-notch forward who is as prolific with her head as she is with her feet. She has recently regained the form that deserted her in the last two years.
10. Cortney van Kol, 25, Comté Sauvage
Foreign-born Cortney has scored more WWC goals than any other Rordette. Everyone in the country will be hoping that she continues that good form.
14. Bernie Hughes, 28, Catt City
Hughes is still in the squad, although the goals appear to have dried up. This could very well be the midget's last WWC.
18. Keira Larkin, 23, unattached
Newbie Keira is a free agent after her Eisenhower contract expired. But there are several clubs that are interested in this pacy and talented youngster.
19. Rachel McNiven, 22, Rordic City Redheads
McNiven is a promising striker who can score from just about anywhere. But when she shoots from six yards or less, she always seems to miss.

RORDIA'S SCHEDULE
Day 1: Hakari
Day 4: Okielahoma
Day 6: Quakmybush
Day 7: Wentland

Covering our 6th World Cup!!!

(ooc: the wiki is here:http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Women%27s_World_Cup_6 ..which is updated)

A close call for the Lady Oxen, but a win is a win so they say as Qazox edged out Spaam 3-2 today. Two early goals by Stefany Heisel, 17th and 32nd minutes, were wiped out by two quick goals to start the 2nd half by Spaam in the 47th and 50th minutes, seemed to stun Qazox. But Denise Vinson pulled a win out of her nether regions in the 66th minute with a goal that deflected off of not 1 but two Spaamians and right past the keeper, giving Qazox the hard fought 3-2 win.

Up next for the Lady Oxen is Sativaville, whom we've faced a few times before. The Lady Stoners are improving, but they are not in our league just yet. A big win here 4-1 over our former colony.
Wentland
13-11-2006, 07:42
"Easy! Easy!" The Wentland fans' chants filled the Insurance Policy Underwriting Arena, or whatever it was called, as the Blue Tits went nap against rank outsiders Okielahoma. The only thing that spoilt it for most of the fans was Hakari's similar easy win over the much better Rordia, which suggested it was going to be another second in group, with second phase against God United or some such.

Edwina Bluff however had another problem. She had started with Thalia Pellegrini. Easy chance for her to score some goals. But she missed three sitters in the first half.

In the end it was the Flack Attack, making her international debut, who got the opener on 33 after Pellegrini's miskick was parried back out to her. The Petterham midfield then got involved with Saunders driving home the second from an impeccable free-kick and the third on half-time went straight in from a corner, Trish Yates bending an inswinger that missed everyone.

The second half was more of the same, with Wentland pushing forward in an almost detached way and Flack scored her second from a Pellegrini pass. With six minutes to go the tired Okielahoma defence let Pellegrini through and Bluff thought this would be it; Pellegrini went around the goalkeeper but stumbled and could only prod the ball against a post. Kaz Flack joyfully swept it in for a hat-trick but it was another one begging for Pellegrini.

Finally Thalia got on the scoresheet in the final minute, getting her head to a corner and burying it in the roof of the net. Alas she was defending an Okielahoma attack.

An easy win, then, but still some concerns...

SATIVAVILLE STONER
Break me off a piece of that Kit-Kat Bar!

Well its a good start, as the Lady Stoners finally win thier 1st, first game with a 4-2 win over newcomers Cafendeu.

Goals were scored by: Cafendu- Ana Paula- 17th and 75th minutes
Sativaville- Su Mathe (2) 24th and 34th minutes, Jolyn Wigg 57th minute and Apolonia Santone 85th minute.

Overall a good start, but the road to the Quarters really begin tommorrow as Qazox is up next. Granted both previous meetings were close losses, but the Lady Oxen are at least a level or 2 above us. But Su Mathe is one of the best in the world, so we have a chance.

Ermines lost 0-3... kept scrolling along the bottom of the screen...

"WHAT the hell happened out there!!?!!" Yelled the HC at her players.

WE gave up 3 goals in less than 5 minutes after dominating the 1st 70minutes? I mean Hill who can you let 3 easy shots go in? Defense? why didn't you try to tackle out there.? seriously we should have at worst drawn and now we play Toranat next. I hope that you all take this next game more seriously than this one. If we lose tommorrow. the names are off the jerseys. you here me!!!?' with that the coach left the locker room, slamming the door behind her.

"what's her major malfunction?" asked Mikkelson.

the rest of the locker room just stared at the walls, ignoring the only outspoken member of the team.

OOC - Must do Borat vs Dazza thing

<Somewhere in the Jeruselem's hotel in Rorysville>

Tall guy with black hair knocks on Dazza's door

Dazza: Hello, who's there?
Borat: Hi, I'm Borat from Kazakhstan. I here to meet nice Russian soccer player!
Dazza: Me? I am Russian-German kinda but I'm a Jeruselem citizen. Err, you're that journalist right?
Borat: Yes, Borat top Kazakhstan journalist.

Dazza: Come on in.
Borat: What's your name?
Dazza: Just call me Dazza, Borat.
Borat: Dazza Russian - nice name.

<Door closes, pair sit down>

Dazza: How come you're not talking to the team captain, Anna Goldstein.
Borat: She's Jewish, Borat no talk to Jewish girls.
Dazza: What about the other girls?
Borat: You Russian and very naughty girl too.

Dazza: (giggles) OK, I am but I am the vice-captain of the team. We here to talk about Jeruselem's FOUR ONE win over Anastaiania or just me.
Borat: Borat don't understand football. Kazakhstan have no team. Talk about Dazza.

Dazza: That's alright. So what do you want to know?
Borat: Why nice Russian girl like you live in land full of Jewish people.
Dazza: Oh, Mum moved here to escape poverty and get some money.
Borat: What your Mum do for job? Russian girls very naughty in other countries.

Dazza: Well, we worked as a barmaid - and you know did other things on the side to survive.
Borat: Your Mum very naughty and you too.
Dazza: Guess so, but she's not doing that any more.
Borat: You have big family - very big family

Dazza: Yes, yes - lots of kids and lots of girls too. I have one son.
Borat: Not good - too many girls bad thing in my country, but if girls look like you it good. You make good wife but must have more sons.
Dazza: Well, I have one - for now.
Borat: Why you play football - no money. Girls no good at football, men much better.

Dazza: I have to disagree with you. I've been to three Women's World Cups, and two World Cups. And you bet other players fear me - Dazza is a name that scares many in the soccer world. I maybe small, short and good looking but I'm a mean soccer player - and RICH.
Borat: You make money by being naughty - wearing little like Mum.
Dazza: I do lots of jobs - all make money.
Borat: You former cheerleader - cheerleaders dumb.

Dazza: Yeah, I look dumb and act dumb but I am a MENSA member. IQ over 130 Borat - I know what I'm doing.
Borat: Dangerous people - intelligent beautiful girls like you. Me keep away.
Dazza: And emotionally unstable
Borat: You Russian, very unstable but still beautiful.

Dazza: Hey, you've been right looking down my dress. No bra.
Borat: No, Borat not looking.
Dazza: Just keep looking, I don't care.
Borat: Naughty Dazza.

Dazza: Well, it's getting late. Must get to sleep. Enough questions?
Borat: Yes, Borat must sleep too.
Dazza: Sorry, not here (winks)
Borat: I like Dazza
Cafundeu

CFFC report:

In the first game of Cafundéu in the WC, the NT lost against Sativaville. The result was 4x2. The coach Fabrício Barglaux tried to use a balanced formation to hold the ball and try some counterattacks.

The game started with many fouls in the midfield, and in one of them Sativaville was near to score with a header, but Caroline made a wonderful save. In the 10th minute, Ana Lopes passed to Joseane who missed a good chance.

Then, Cafundéu scored. After a corner kick, Ana Paula jumped to head the ball and score the first goal. Things were going well, but the defender Vanessa and Gabriela started to attack much and left the defense unprotected.

In the 23rd minute, Natália Alves fouled Sativaville's attacker and received the yellow card. One minute after Sativaville scored with Su Mathe shooting from outside the area. In the next minutes Cafundéu tried to hold the pressure that the opponent was making, but was unable to avoid the second goal. Letícia fouled Su Mathe inside the area and the ref gave a penalty. Su Mathe scored.

Cafundéu balanced the game in the last minutes of the first half and even had some chances, mainly with the midfielders Alice and Fernanda Garcia, but they missed all of them. Sativaville also had some chances, but Caroline saved Cafundéu twice, and the midfield worked well to retain the ball.

In the second half, Barglaux put Zélia in Ana Lopes' place, who was playing very bad. But this didn't change the situation. Sativaville was pressing and had the best chances, playing much better than Cafundéu. In the 8th minute of the second half, Sativaville scored with Su Mathe, but the ref disallowed the goal because the attacker fouled the goalkeeper. In the 11th minute Cafundéu had a chance with Alice, but she sent the ball over the bar.

One minute after, another goal. Jolyn Wigg received the ball in the left, dribbled two defenders and shot in the right side of the goal to score a beautiful goal. 3x1. In the 65th minute, both coaches changed their teams. Barglaux removed Joseane, who complained with the ref and was shown a yellow card and replace her with the free kick taker Nanda. Sativaville's coach wanted to rest Su Mathe for the next game and removed her from the game to put a defender.

But this change wasn't good for Sativaville, and Cafundéu started to attack more. In a free kick taken by Nanda, the ball hit the post, and in the rebound Zélia shot the ball in the face of the defender. With 15 minutes remaining, Cafundéu scored. Vanessa crossed the ball, Nanda headed to Ana Paula who kick the ball with strength to score.

Wanting to win, Cafundéu's coach put Kelly in Natália Alves' place, willing to score another goal. For some minutes Cafundéu pressed the opponent and had the chance, but Sativaville was superior and could break the defense in the last minutes. Apolonia Santonia received the ball alone in the area and scored. 4x2.

After the game, the coach and the players said that it was a good game and that the team played well. The coach will probably make some changes in the team for the next game.

Rordettes World Cup Update

Hakari 4-0 Rordia

Rordia couldn't have got Women's World Cup 6 off to a worse start - they were convincingly beaten 4-0 by Hakari.
After just five minutes, the Rordettes were behind. A critical defensive error from Leona Statham allowed a Hakari striker to fire a 20-yarder into the net. Leona was guilty of poor marking - now that's something you don't hear often. In the 13th minute, Rordia went further behind. Joanne Childress-Turner headed away a corner, but the ball ended up at the Hakari captain's feet. She then hit a piledriver past Lucy Bare to make it 2-0. Ex-Rordia captain Kelly Richardson then blasted Childress-Turner and said that she had made "a schoolgirl mistake". She was booked, although she hadn't used any foul or abusive language. Richardson clearly felt hard done by.
Rordia's defending continued to get worse, but Hakari wouldn't score again until the 42nd minute. Statham mis-kicked a clearance, and the ball went through Bare's legs and into the net. Head coach Charlotte Mayer thought enough was enough, and immediately replaced Statham with Alison Moreau. With the veteran now on the pitch, Rordia actually got better. They even had a shot at goal, but Cortney van Kol's effort was inches too high.
At half-time, Mayer made a bold substitution by replacing Maria Baker with Keira Larkin. But just before kick-off, Larkin got into an argument with a Hakari defender, who promptly floored her with a kung-fu kick to the head. The defender was sent off, and Larkin was stretchered off and replaced by Bernie Hughes. In the 64th minute, the Rordettes conceded a free-kick on the edge of the area after Childress-Turner handled the ball. The Hakari captain then curled the free-kick past the wall and into the net. 4-0. And to make matters worse, van Kol was sent off for two bookable offences in the 83rd minute. The full-time whistle couldn't come soon enough for Rordia, as they slumped to a demoralising demolition.
Mayer blasted: "That was an absolute nightmare. We were nothing short of pathetic, and any hopes of us reaching the knockouts have all but vanished. Getting beaten 4-0 in the first game won't do us any good at all.
"If there was a competition for the world's worst foul, that Hakari defender would win it hands down. Her kung-fu kick at Keira was absolutely diabolical, and she should be banned for life. If she was from Rordia, she'd be in jail by now! She's a disgrace."
There was another one-sided game in the Islands Group - Wentland easily defeated Okielahoma 5-1. Rordia start off at the foot of the group, and they'll have a mountain to climb if they are to reach the Quarter Finals.

RORDIA XI: Bare; Bayley, Statham (Moreau 42), Lewis, Childress-Turner; Harper, Abergynolwyn (c), Richardson, Cooper; Baker (Larkin 45(Hughes 45)), van Kol. Booked: Richardson, Abergynolwyn, Childress-Turner, van Kol. Sent Off: van Kol.

Noremark dissapointed against Yafor 2; Hopeful Against Misrantis

The Women's National Soccer Team of Noremark lost it's international debut against experienced Yafor 2, ranked 7th internationally, 5-0. Coach Niels Esenstergen put it bluntly in a press conference, saying "We played like a bunch of little girls... weak passing, weak defense, i'm actually shocked we didn't lose by more." Star player Katya Ivanik wept on the field at the end of the game. The team quickly packed it's equipment a the Twin Cities Stadium in Rorysville, and left faster than most spectators. Earlier today, Marina Yarosleva told reporters outside of the team hotel that, "last night's game was dissapointing, but we're going to rebound. I mean we can't do worse than last night."

Noremark plays against Misrantis, ranked 32, who was defeated at the hands of Marceau State, 4-2. The team will play at Val D'Or Memorial. Coach Esenstergen told reporters that if any game was to be won, it was the match against Misrantis. "Sure it's a little unfair, I mean they have men on their team. But our girls our tough, and I think they'll do well against Misrantis."

Before next match, the coach of Cafundéu NT Fabrício Barglaux put a piece of paper in the bench of the training center. The players and staff wanted to concentrate themselves for next game. In the paper, Barglaux wrote the starting 11 for the next game.

Here they are: Caroline, Cris, Natáia Alves and Beatriz ; Viviane Paquetá, Letícia, Alice, Nanda and Fernanda Garcia; Ana Lopes and Ana Paula.

This team is much more defensive than the team that played the first game, and has now a better set pieces taker.

Covering our 6th World Cup!!!
(ooc1: Got them in a bit early today Rory...GJ)

(ooc: the wiki is here:http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Women%27s_World_Cup_6 ..which is updated)

The last 2 days went by so fast, we couldn't get to press the results of the Sativaville match , but here they are:

QAZOX 5-Sativaville 2

(goals: QAZOX: Stefany Heisel(3,4,5)- 17th, 24th and 67th minutes, Sonja Clay (1) 40th and Jeanie Mosley (1) 85th.
Sativaville: Su Mathe- 36th and 56th minutes)

Qazox behind a better offense, easily dominated thier former vassals 5-2 behind Stefany Heisel's hat-trick. The match was never in doubt, but Su Mathe of Satvaville scored twice, cutting the lead to 2-1 and 3-2, before late goals by Heisel and Sonja Clay.

The next match was against Montegrande, and despite allowing Montegrande to jump out to 2 one-goal leads in the 1st half, the Lady Oxen held firm behind 2 more goals from Heisel and another from Risa Klyn to win 4-2.

Goals: Montegrande: #5- 15th minute, #6- 35th minute
QAZOX: Andrea Childress-Turner(1) [PK]- 29th minute, Risa Klyn (1)- 53rd minute, Stefany Heisel (6,7)- 62nd and 74th minutes.

Up next for Qazox is 2 days off to prepare for Liverpool England, who seem to be our biggest challenge to win the group.

SATIVAVILLE STONER
J--E--L--L--O!!!

We tried at least. After winning our 1st game against Cafendeu, we ran up against some pwers houses in Spaam and Qazox and got beat. Qazox thrashed us 5-2, while Spaam waffled us, 3-0. Any chance at qualification is almost dead as we still have to play LE. This group was a tough one, and the Lady Stoners will no go down without a fight, but despite Su Mathe, there is no other Stoner seemingly willing to step up and shine.

Up next is Montegrande, our last chance to gain points most likely. A close one, but Sativaville edges out a 2-1 win.

The Ermines sat in the Locker Room after coming back from a 0-2 deficit at half to beat Anastasiania 3-2...

"THAT'S THE WAY YOU BITCHES SHOULD ALWAYS PLAY" Bellowed the Head Coach. "We came back to beat Toranat, a better team than us and now we came back again. The way you've played the last 2 second halves is how WE SHOULD ALWAYS PLAY!!!"

"Miyasaka, way to go on those 2 goals against Toranat and the 2 today. Keep it up!!, Lambermont! Nice touch on the winner today. All of you did well, but the true tests are to come. Jeruselem and Rorysville. The Hosts and the Champs. If we play them as hard as we played the 2nd half, we could upset either of them.! But as usual, there's bad news. Mikkelson!!! Why in hell would you slide into someone from the back.. TWICE!!!! in the penalty area. lucky for you, Hill saved you butt on the last one."

"But. Coach.." Mikkelson started..

"BUT NOTHING.. You're sitting out the next match, thanks to your RED card. If we lose, I'm not gonna be happy that we lost because my best defender wasn't out there. Manx you're in for the next game.. DONT FUCK IT UP!!!" The coach answered, then left.

"Why the hell does she ride my ASS so damn much?" Wondered Mikkelson, determined to find out for herself.

<Jeruselem press conference>

Reporter 1: Dazza, where's the Jeruselem captain Anna Goldstein?
Dazza: Oh, she's just with the team doctor - there was a training accident yesterday.

Reporter 1: So, will she play next game?
Dazza: Oh yeah, we are just taking precautions with Anna. She's retiring and we want her to be fit for the campaign.

Reporter 2: Have you recovered from the disappointing loss to Starblaydia during the World Cup 31? You didn't take it well.
Dazza: I'm still smarting but I have plans for Starblaydia in this Women's World Cup. Oh yeah, I have plans.

Reporter 3: Why isn't the coach here?
Dazza: He likes to hide from the press - that's why he sent me and I happen to be vice-captain.

Reporter 2: Is the team ready for a fourth cup?
Dazza: If you have three, a fourth is better. We're ready - we fear only a few teams.

Reporter 1: You play the hosts next, are you going to be nice to the hosts?
Dazza: The hosts are really nice people but we are here to win a cup. Only a win will satisfy us really.

Reporter 4: This team is getting old with some retirements including your captain, are you going to retire?
Dazza: Not yet, I've been playing since I was fourteen. Only injury will stop me. And this team are getting older but the next generation are out. My sister's daughter Rashina is in this team - she's a future Dallas captain.

Reporter 5: You're a Mum now. Are you going to slow down?
Dazza: Me? No, I'm speeding up. Having kids has not slowed my down at all.

Reporter 2: Who's the biggest threat to your team?
Dazza: Apart from Starblaydia - Qazox. The Ox girls are my concern but the Wentland, Yafor 2 and Milchama team can will too. Oh yes, even Haraki!

Reporter 6: Do you think your onscreen antics spoil the Women's World Cup?
Dazza: No, I'm putting women in the headlines. If it wasn't for people like me - you guys would be talking about superstar men's players and not even covering this cup. I'm giving the Women's game a face - you may hate me but women want attention to their soccer tournament. If I wobble and flash a little flesh, so be it.

Reporter 4: What you think of this nation?
Dazza: A little cold but it's a nice place. Might even have time for a holiday but I like Nedalia best - that's after Jeruselem.

Reporter 1: People say you act too much, is that true?
Dazza: I'm acting now as myself. I only act as myself - only one Dazza around here.

Reporter 3: You're a geek - you don't look like one?
Dazza: Yes, I fix my own computer and other peoples too. I am the unofficial IT person in the Jeruselem travelling party. We have an official one but we rarely see him around.

Reporter 4: People call you many unpleasant things, how do you deal with it?
Dazza: Firewall, I say. They don't bother me - my team, my family and my nation matter. If some people hate me, so be it - because they envy me. They aren't confident so they criticise others.

Reporter 2: You're the pinup girl for Intel Jeruselem - how does that feel?
Dazza: Well, they chased me. I sell things - and I like computers. Hard Core Dazza. Well folks, have to go. Have to do some journalism for JGN! You know where to find me, I'm a fellow journo too.

<Dazza winks and wobbles off>

Reporter 1: Nice girl.
Reporter 2: Not many journalists look like that.

Wentland
15-11-2006, 20:22
"...the Quakmybush defenders are complaining bitterly to the referee, but there was a definite tug on Honey Weeks' shirt that pulled her short...2-2 and Wentland have a penalty with four minutes to go...who will take it?"

Thalia Pellegrini was adamant. "Give it here...I NEED a goal..."

"Sham, this might be our last chance..."

"Look, Meld's off injured...I've not missed a penno yet..."

"It's the captain's job, leave it to AK..."

"Or give it to Flack Attack, she's on another hat-trick..."

"No. I MUST do this. I nearly scored a couple earlier. Kaz has been lucky, just getting them in off my hard work."

On the bench, Edwina Bluff groaned as the number 9 placed the ball on the spot. If Thalia missed this, she thought, her confidence will be annihilated.

The referee blew her whistle and Bluff closed her eyes. She heard a cheer and a half-second later another, bigger, cheer. She opened her eyes and saw the Blue Tits piling up in celebration, ball in the net, a 3-2 lead that they were destined not to lose.

"YEESSS!!!!" yelled Edwina. "At last!!!"

"Great stuff, Kaz..." yelled Nikki Griffin on the bench.

"Eh?"

"Oh, following up like that...rubbish pen, but the goalie parried it out to Flackie..."

Two games, two hat-tricks for Flack Attack. Edwina Bluff was delighted for her new star. Maybe she didn't need Pellegrini after all...

She looked back to the pitch. One player had not joined in the celebrant scrum. A tall, olive-skinned, raven-haired beauty, a picture of tortured elegance as she stared and turned and walked back to the centre-circle. Wearing a royal blue shirt adorned with the number 9.

Anna: Well, that was a fiasco - I'm a lousy captain ... (head in hands)
Dazza: Hey look, we played the hosts at home with home crowd. The hosts had most of the crowd on their side. We've got plenty of games left to play - remember we've got no byes.

Anna: I can't face the press out there ...
Dazza: Yes you can. A captain has to take lead in times of good and bad.

Coach: Hey, what's the matter? It's not the 2nd round of World Cup you know.
Anna: I don't deserve to be captain, I'm letting the team down.

Dazza: Look, we have to lose a game sometime. Losing one qualifier is not end of the world.
Coach: You did score the only goal and even Dazza couldn't score today.

Anna: I'm not coping ...
Dazza: I'm go out there and feed the lions. You stay right here and talk with the coach OK? It's not all your fault - sometime the team can fail you.

Anna: But I can't motivate people like you Dazza.
Coach: I'll handle this, go outside and handle the press Dazza.

<Dazza goes outside>

Reporter 1: Dazza, is there panic after this loss to Rorysville? Jeruselem are in trouble on the table for the Rorysville group.
Dazza: No, none at all. We've had our two byes passed by. All we have to is win all the remaining games - and we can do that as we've done before.

Reporter 1: This team with many retirees soon - are they too old? Maybe time for new talent.
Dazza: We have retirees every Women's World cup but we have lots of youngsters here. You can't have too many youngster who have not experienced this kind of pressure before.

Reporter 2: Are the glory days of Angels gone - maybe the hosts win this cup.
Dazza: Now can you say that now? The only time to judge is when a team makes the final - we've done that 3 times and won all three. This is one loss against the hosts with a massive crowd for them. No panic.

Reporter 3: Does motherhood affect the performance of elite players like you?
Dazza: No, most of team are Mums and motherhood is something to appreciate. It does not make Dazza a worse player, sure that baby fat has to go but we know how to deal with that.

Reporter 2: Some people say the Jeruselem defense is fragile, and can be swamped.
Dazza: We're not System Karela but you don't win 3 cups on bad defense you ya? Offense scores the goals and defense wins the game by keeping the opponent out. It's simple.

Reporter 1: We don't see much of the current captain or coach, why's that?
Dazza: Last cup, our coach didn't appear on TV and no one was fussed. As for Anna, she's a little upset at losing but she's not running from the press.

Reporter 3: Who's going step up to be the next leader of Jeruselem team should things go bad?
Dazza: That's up to management, but as former Captain I could step and do the job. Saying that, I don't want to take a job belonging to another person.

Reporter 1: As a team player and also a reporter for JGN - and seemingly the Jeruselem PR person, you have biased reporting.
Dazza: I see no conflict of interest - I'm the team spokesperson and have been for this and the World cups too. I don't hide my biases - I say it as it is with my bias. No pretence of neutrality here.

Reporter 2: Some commentators say the Jeruselem sometimes just crumble at the wrong moment - a sign of weakness.
Dazza: We are team of humans - we are not the perfect Women's soccer team although we are close to what you'd call the best team so far. Just look at our record - we crumbles less than other teams. Some teams just crumble when they play us.

Reporter 1: Now, the last qualifying game against Starblaydia - that could determine who makes it.
Dazza: Yes, three teams - us, Starblaydia and Rorysville are in although it looks bad for us on the table. I do intended to take revenge on the Starblaydi team when we meet - like the last time we meet. We won. As I said before - I have plans for the Cherries.

Reporter 3: Finally, any plans to retire?
Dazza: Retire - maybe from professional football, but I have a career in journalism too. Retirement is not an option now, while I'm fit and if I can't play - I'm going to talk about like you guys do. And then there's those commercial and media commitments I have too.
Cafundeu
16-11-2006, 17:19
(Ice Bowl Stadium, Rorysville) - A game decided in the first minutes. This was Liverpool England against Cafundéu. The 5th placed in the ranking didn't have difficulties to defeat the monopolysts, scoring two goals in the first 10 minutes of the game. L.England didn't release the list of the names of the players, so we couldn't identify them.

The game started well to L.England. In the second minute, the defense of Cafundéu slept and the blonde woman that was wearing the number 8 shirt entered in the area and scored the first goal of the game. After the goal, Cafundéu continued with the defensive formation, but they made a mistake again. In the 8th minute, a tall woman that was wearing the number 6 shirt headed the ball and scored the second goal.

Then, Cafundéu seemed to start to play. Started to pass more and had some scoring opportunities, but L.England's goalkeeper was great. The best chances of the white team came with Viviane Paquetá, shooting many times from outside the area, with Fernanda Garcia, dribbling many players but failing in the finishes, and with Ana Lopes, who was playing better than she did in the 1st game.

But the second half of the first half wasn't dominated by Cafundéu. L.England also had many chances, but without the speed and strength of the first 10 minutes. Their best chances came with plays made by the woman with short hair that was wearing the number 7 shirt. The first half ended 2x0, without confusions.

The second half started and in the 5th minute a penalty. Beatriz made a violent foul in the number 2 of L.England and was sent off. Number 7 scored. Two minutes later another violent foul, this time made by Viviane Paquetá, who received the yellow card together with Ana Paula who complained. The first 20 minutes passed with no chances of goal for both teams, trying to win the ball in the midfield fouling the opponent. Numbers 3 and 6 of L.England received yellow cards.

Then, the coach of Cafundéu, Barglaux, made two changes in the team. Put Joseane in the place of Viviane Paquetá and Vanessa in Alice's place. The team was much more offensive trying to score, while L.England started to defend. The ball possession was still of L.England, with 61%.

But soon the changes modified the game. 2 minutes after, L.England was near to score the fourth goal, but the attacker missed a great chance. In the 30th minute, Letícia missed a good chance too. In the 33rd minute, Ana Lopes received the ball from Ana Paula in front of the goal, but sent the ball in the crowd. The game became more interesting.

Then, in the 37th minute, Ana Lopes was fouled near the area. Nanda took the free kick and scored the goal of Cafundéu in the match. In the last minutes, the game calmed down and no chances were seen. The game ended 3x1.

After the game, players lamented the bad start, but are looking forward to the next game. Captain Fernanda Garcia said "We can still win, I'm sure that we can win a game". Midfielder Alice said "Next game will be another chance for us", and attacker Ana Lopes said "I'm sure that I'll score in this WC sometime".

The coach had the same opinion: "Our next opponent lost all the games in this WC and we can give another loss to them. Our team is more than ready to defeat them - and said the formation of next game's team - I'll use: Caroline, Vanessa, Gabriela, Cris and Natália Alves; Letícia, Alice, Nanda and Fernanda Garcia; Ana Lopes and Ana Paula".

L.England x Cafundéu - Cafundéu's team: Caroline, Cris, Natália Alves and Beatriz; Viviane Paquetá(Joseane), Letícia, Alice(Vanessa), Nanda and Fernanda Garcia; Ana Lopes and Ana Paula.

Rordettes World Cup Update

Rordia 3-3 Okielahoma

Rordia squandered a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 with minnows Okielahoma.
In the 9th minute, Rordia got their first goal of the game through Maria Baker. She latched onto a cross from Nicki Cooper before curling a shot into the net. Six minutes later, she had made it 2-0 after heading in a corner from Lucy Harper. But she then blotted her copybook by getting booked for barging into Okielahoma's Traci Dickenson during her celebration. The Rordettes went further ahead in the 24th minute, as captain Imogen Abergynolwyn beat Jennifer Nichols from 40 yards out! Ten minutes afterwards, she won a penalty after being brought down by Dickenson - only to scuff her shot wide.
It then began to all fall apart for Rordia. In the last minute of first-half injury time, Savannah Campbell lobbed Lucy Bare to put Okielahoma back in the game. And in the first minute of injury time, Campbell scored a fantastic solo goal to make it 3-2. She dispossessed Baker before dribbling past five Rordettes and then firing a thunderbolt into the goal. Rordia were now only a goal up, and their players began to look shaky. Their strike partnership of Baker and Rachel McNiven never looked like scoring another goal, as they fired several shots high and wide. And a mishit backpass from Alison Moreau almost went in her own net, but Bare cleared just in time.
It was inevitable that Okielahoma would find an equaliser, and that's exactly what they got in the 76th minute. Ashley King took a free-kick, which went to her sister (or maybe just namesake) Lauren King. Lauren then volleyed from a tight angle, and hit the back of the net. The Sooners had done the improbable, going from 3-0 down to level the scores at 3-3! Despite a late substitute appearance from Bernie Hughes (in the place of the lacklustre Moreau), Rordia couldn't get a winner. At the full-time whistle, Abergynolwyn lost her cool completely and launched into a foul-mouthed tirade at her players. Morale in the Rordettes' camp has hit an all-time low.
After the game, head coach Charlotte Mayer left the ground immediately and hasn't been seen since. She is said to have sent her resignation letter to the Rordia WFA, but this has not been confirmed.
The other Islands Group encounter saw Hakari win a thrilling 4-2 encounter against Quakmybush. Hakari are definitely in the Quarter Finals, Wentland are almost certainly there, but Rordia have an outside chance.

LARKIN OUT OF WWC!
Rordia youngster Keira Larkin will not play any further part in Women's World Cup 6.
Larkin was kung-fu kicked in the head by a Hakari defender a few days ago, and has been in hospital since. The 23-year-old striker has been told that she suffered 'significant damage' to her brain, and it will take months for her to fully recover.
Nobody has been drafted in to replace Keira, although ex-Rordette Svetlana Sokolova has been seen talking to assistant manager Raquel Varney. Sokolova was in the Rordia squad for WWC4, but hasn't played for her country since.

Edwina Bluff had an idea.

She took Thalia Pellegrini to a theatre downtown, one that was closed for renovation. She had a largish key and let the two of them in.

Edwina silently led Pellegrini down to the front of the seating, all dark save for the weak limelight. Thalia was rapidly becoming terrified.

Edwina sat them down. "It's OK, Thalia...I think this'll work..."

She turned around and raised a thumb. Suddenly a bang on stage and smoke appeared.

"AAAAAAAAAARGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"

"It's OK...trust me..."

The smoke died away to reveal a man in a dark suit, one button done up. Around his neck was tied a black cape that was drawn around the man. Slick black hair, a neat black beard coming to a point.

Pellegrini was hyperventilating. "Wha...wha..."

A voice emanated from deep within the man. "I am Mystico...I am the Power Within..."

Thalia was almost shivering.

"Look into my eyes...in the middle of the eyes...not around the eyes..."

Thalia was transfixed.

"Concentrate...the watch ticks, ticks, ticks...seconds...minutes...

"You are very calm...you are very calm..."

Edwina Bluff slowly sidled out to allow Mystico to do his work.

***

An hour and a half should have done it, thought Edwina, as she returned to the disused theatre and she silently let herself back in.

As she looked at the stage, however, she was bemused.

Thalia Pellegrini was still in her seat, transfixed.

Mystico was bouncing around the stage with a balloon, yelling "I am a Blue Tit...I am very calm...I am going to score lots of goals..."

Oh dear, thought Edwina. Plan B time?

SATIVAVILLE STONER
DO THE DEW!!!

A good solid 4-2 win today over Montegrande has left the Lady Stoners, possibly only an upset win away from advancing to the Quarterfinals for the Women's World Cup.

Su Mathe was unstoppable as she score 3 times, in the 20th, 37th and 61st minutes, the last giving Sativaville a 4-0 lead. The other goal was scored by Jolyn Wigg in the 50th minute. But two late goals by Montegrande int he 73rd and 77th minutes, gave hope, but time ran out quickly on the victory.

The final game for the Lady Stoners is against Liverpool England tommorrow. LE is ranked in the top 5 and is the 1st ever winner of the WWC, so Sativaville mus bring their A+++++ game and hope that LE has a C- game for any chance to win. Our Prediction: Sativaville goes home again, LE 3-1.

<Hot redhead chick in a pink top and miniskirt>

"Hi, it's Razzle Dazzle Dazza Dallas here at the Women's World Cup, 6th edition in Rorysville. Yes, we lost to the hosts Rorysville last game but we're back in the top three now. We took on Toranat and they tried to wipe us away but the good old Angels returned the favour. We wiped them out of the Women's World Cup. Now, someone complained we don't score enough goals! Does a FIVE THREE scoreline convince people we can score goals? OK we conceded three goals but we weren't going to defend all game were we?"

<adjusts top to emphasis boobs>

"The Toranat team jumped out the blocks - scoring two really quick goals in the 10 and 12 minute. They were flooding the midfield and making my life really hard. We had trouble controlling the ball with their aggressive tactics and it looked like we were gone. But we are the World Champs! Never write us off - and they thought we would go all defensive. No way - God's angels fight wars, not wave white flags."

<wind blows up, skirt raises>

"Bad spot to stand. Oh well - where was I? Lindsay Lohan replied for the Angels after being tripped up in the attacking area by an opposition defender. She nearly muffed the penalty but it went in. So we were down ONE TWO in the 40th minute and still needed more goals. Half-time and Toranat were leading. Wouldn't you know it, my sisters daughter Rashina scored her first goal. I put in a high cross and Rashina decided to execute a Dazza-style bicycle kick because she's so flexible. She must learn from her auntie - me, and it went in. 2 ALL in the 60th minute. Toranat were trying to hold out and stopped attacking. Bad move - Jeruselem like teams who don't attack."

<a hat flies by>

"Next, me and Anna flew down the side to distract the defenders. Their players drifted away from the centre, and we stuck again. Bobina Grosso fired a swerving missile of shot at the goalie who didn't read the swerve and went to wrong way. We were leading THREE TWO in the 67th minute. They attacked in numbers to try to regain the point they had but I picked up the ball and sprinted all the way down the field past their weakened defenses. The keeper tried to run and stop me, but me chipped over her and it was FOUR TWO with 15 minutes left in the game."

<some Jeruselem players walk past>

"Faith Fumbles scored our last goal when she dived at a low cross from Anna Goldstein and put the ball between one of the defenders legs. Looked very strange but I think she was not aiming there at all. 5 minutes left and we were FIVE TWO up. They scored the final goal with all their players streaming forward including the goalie and well, it was still to late. FIVE THREE the final score."

<Dazza pulls some leaves out of her hair>

"The table? Rorysville lead on 9 points with Starblaydia 2nd with 7 points- they had a bye today. Jeruselem move from near the bottom to 3rd on 6 points and Green Wombat are 4th on the same points as Jeruselem. There is one win difference between 1st and 4th now - if any of top 4 lose, it's trouble. Anastasiana and Toranat are eliminated as they have byes to come. Now, we must win all those other games including the one against Starblaydia due to how close this is."

"YAP YAP. Joining me for YAP YAP is President of Dazza Dallas fan club, Pete Potter!"

Pete: Hey, Dazza looking foxy today - gets me excited.
Dazza: Control them hormones Pete, I don't want funny accidents.

Pete: It's official, we have over a million active members. Dazza's a popular Mum.
Dazza: Well, thats great but Rachel Kool is still more popular than me. A million people who think I'm the best thing since sliced bread - what a compliment.

Pete: Hey, I'm Rachel Kool fan too but you're my favourite.
Dazza: So how to you join? I can't join, it'd be stupid.

Pete: Just go to our web site www.dazzafanclub.com.jew and fill in a form. Membership fee applies but it's minimal. Check out the goodies you get when you join, like meeting the girl herself - like now.
Dazza: You're looking at something.

Pete: Your skirt is stuck - like upwards. Err, nice underwear, at least you're wearing some.
Dazza: Oh, I see. <adjust skirt back to normal>

Pete: We were here to talk about your autobiography.
Dazza: More details next show Pete - all I can say the book is called Attention Whore.

Pete: I like this job.
Dazza: Good to have observant fans. That's it from me and Pete. See you next time on Dazza's upskirt antics, yeah.

(Thunderdome Stadium, Rorysville) - Less than 20,000 people came to see the game between Cafundéu and Montegrande. It could be a good attendance, but it's a World Cup, so Rorysville didn't make much profit from this game. Both teams didn't have chances to go to the next phase, but could still defeat their opponents to finish in a better position.

Like Liverpool England, Montegrande didn't release the name of its players, so we could only discover the numbers of their scorers. Even knowing that there wasn't any chance to get a place in the next phase, both teams played well and the game was close, with many good chances and confusions.

The game started disputed in the midfield, with both teams trying to use the sides of the field to attack, crossing many times but missing the strikers. In the 11th minute, the left-defender of Cafundéu, Gabriela Tamarov, broke her leg after crashing with the post. Raposa entered in her place.

The game was boring, but in the 13th minute, a surprise. #11 of Montegrande shot the ball in the middle of the field and scored a wonderful goal. The goalkeeper was positioned in the middle of the area. 1x0 Montegrande.

After the first goal, the game continued with many long balls and side attacks. But after the 20th minute, it started to get better. Fernanda Garcia dribbled three players and was fouled. Nanda took the free kick but the ball hit the bar. In another play, Alice received the ball inside the area and shot, but the ball hit the post.

Montegrande had one big chance. #4 headed the ball, that hit the bar, the goal line and after that the goalkeeper Caroline saved. Cafundéu replied with a powerful shot made by Vanessa. In the 28th minute, confusions. Vanessa punched the #2 played of Montegrande, who replied with a kick. Both players were sent off. Two minutes after, Natália Alves received the yellow card. In the 30th minute, #6 and #10 of Montegrande received a yellow card too.

Another goal only in the 38th minute. Raposa ran from the left side and crossed in the head of Ana Paula who scored the first goal of Cafundéu. But, two minutes after, #11 of Montegrande scored another goal. The confusions stopped to happen and the game was more calm, with good chances. Alice had two great chances, but missed. Cris headed the ball in the hands of the goalkeeper after a corner.

In the injury time, Fernanda Garcia dribbled two defenders and shot in the right side of the goal, scoring the 2nd goal of Cafundéu. Montegrande missed an incredible chance in the 49th minute of the first half(injury time), after the #7 dribbled the goalkeeper and sent the ball wide.

For the second half, Barglaux put Viviane Paquetá in Nanda's place and Mazinha entered in Letícia's place. The speed of Mazinha and Raposa helped the team, but Cafundéu couldn't score. Montegrande started badly the second half, missing nearly all the passes. Ana Lopes missed a chance in the 8th minute.

21th minute: Montegrande scored with #8 who headed the ball to the goal after a free kick. 2x3. Mazinha passed to Ana Paula in the 25th minute who lost another chance. Many missed chances were making the coach Barglaux desperated, but Montegrande didn't have the force to counterattack and try to score again.

The second half was passing and Cafundéu still was unable to score. In the 30th minute, Barlgaux made a desperate move, taking off Alice to put Zélia. Two minutes after, Cafundéu scored. Zélia received the ball from Raposa, passed to Ana Lopes inside the area. The striker shot the ball and scored.

In the 33rd minute, Montegrande's #11 tried to dribble the goalkeeper, who had to leave the area because the defense was unprotected. But she couldn't dribble and was fouled by Caroline, who received the yellow card. A wasted chance.

In the 39th minute, another goal. Ana Lopes received the ball and shot with strength to score. 4x3 to Cafundéu. Barglaux was happy with the result. In the last minutes, Cafundéu tried to hold the ball and Montegrande couldn't attack.

But, in the 44th minute, Montegrande's defender shot the ball to the attack and #8 received the ball alone in the area and scored an easy goal. Cafundéu's players complained to the referee saying that the midfielder was offside and that the goal must be disallowed, but she didn't hear and the goal was valid. 5 minutes later the game ended 4x4.

Cafundéu's players continued to complain, TV programmes were divided: some think that the player was offside and some think that was all right. Attacker Ana Laura Lopes said: "I did my job today, scoring two goals, but an unpleasant situation happened in the end of the game and we couldn't leave the game with the victory".

The goalkeeper Caroline said: "How can the lineswoman ignore this offside? It was so clear as Dani's shirt(that is white and she didn't play the game). But I'll stop to complain. This passed and now we need to concentrate ourselves for the next game". Serginho Mallandro said the same: "Yes, let's think about the next game", and so did Xavier: "One point is good, better than nothing".

The coach didn't dislike the result, but wasn't happy: "We struggle to score two goals and suddenly all is destroyed because of a play in the last minutes. Maybe the ref can be punished or something. But let's forget this and think about the next game".

With Gabriela injured and Vanessa and Natália Alves suspended, Barglaux showed the formation for the next game: "It'll be: Caroline, Cris, Viviane Paquetá and Beatriz; Letícia, Alice, Joseane, Nanda and Fernanda Garcia; Ana Lopes and Ana Paula".

Cafundéu x Montegrande - Cafundéu's team: Caroline, Vanessa, Gabriela(Raposa), Cris and Natália Alves; Letícia(Mazinha), Alice(Zélia), Nanda(Viviane Paquetá) and Fernanda Garcia; Ana Lopes and Ana Paula.

Goals:MON: #11 at 13' and 40'. #8 at 66' and 89'.
CAF: Ana Paula 38' , Fernanda Garcia 45'+ , Ana Lopes 78' and 84'.

<Hot redhead in pink and a young man>

Dazza:
"Hi, this is Dazza Dallas and with me is Pete Potter, President of my fan club. It's all down the last game now as today was good day for Jeruselem in the Rorysville Group in the Women's World Cup 6. Everything went our way!"

Pete:
"Yes Dazza - today was good. And you are looking good as always!"

Dazza:
"Thanks Pete. It's good to have fans like you. Today, Jeruselem played Green Wombat and Rorysville took on our nemesis Starblaydia. Now, the way things were if we lost and Starblaydia won - then the final top two would be Rorysville and Starblaydia. It was all on the line!"

Pete:
"Yeah, I was really nervous today just watching."

Dazza:
"Jeruselem beat Green Wombat THREE ONE and to make life sweet for us - Rorysville beat Starblaydia THREE NIL. This means Jeruselem's goal difference vs Starblaydia changes dramatically as we gain five goals. In fact, when we won we moved to 2nd spot on 9 point and Starblaydia moved to 3rd spot stuck on seven points - and their goal difference coped a hammering. Rorysville have guarantee their position in the finals on 12 points. Green Wombat are stuck on 6 points and stay 4th - the others are out of the race altogether."

Pete:
"But Jeruselem, Starblaydia and Green Wombat are still in the race."

Dazza:
"Green Wombat's hope are really slim, Pete. They must win really well - like FOUR NIL. They cannot afford a draw or loss. They are playing Rorysville too - which means they must play so well, it's not funny. Rorysville beat us, what hope to Green Wombat' have if the top seed to lost the host? I expect Rorysville to beat Green Wombat. Mathematically yes - not reality no."

Pete:
"I see, if Jeruselem or Starblaydia win then they would be over 9 points pushing the Wombats out - and if the teams draw, then Jeruselem are over 9 points. So Green Wombat cannot make it"

Dazza:
"Exactly. Starblaydia cannot afford to lose - and they cannot afford a draw either. They need 3 points to get to 10 points - more than Jeruselem's nine. Now, Jeruselem cannot afford to lose or Starblaydia make it. If Jeruselem wins or draws - then the points situation means Jeruselem make it. Simple, Jeruselem need to win or draw and Starblaydia must win."

Pete:
"I love this girl, always having an answer. So Rorysville will make the finals with either Jeruselem or Starblaydia - Green Wombat cannot actually make it."

Dazza:
"The Islands Group is settle - Haraki and Wentland go through. Looking at the table - Haraki should top the table and Wentland should be 2nd. Great teams they are."

Pete:
"And some sweet looking players too, but none rival Dazza here"

Dazza:
"This guy is so unbiased" (smiles)
"The Northern States Group! It's tight with three great teams fighting it out. Qazox, Spaam and Liverpool England are locked in battle. 3 wins each and one will fail including Qazox - last year's finalist along with us"

Pete:
"Come on Qazox! You can make it - so you can meet us in the final again."

Dazza:
"I think Pete has high opinion of the Ox girls. And finally the York/Sherbrooke Group - Yafor 2 easily make it. But three teams are fightin over the remaining spot including our friend Arridia, the frenchie Marceau State and The Mushroom Kingship , homeland of Zak K Speed. Arridia have played all their games - so it's upto Marceau State and The Mushroom Kingship win their games. So exciting."

Pete:
"So it's that do or die game between Jeruselem and Starblaydia once again. Scary"

Dazza:
"Yes Pete, my plan is simple - take revenge. Preferably a FIVE ONE win. And no stepping back for a draw - it's a win for us but a draw would be OK. Losing is not an option Pete."

Pete:
"And now for the announcement, Dazza"

Dazza:
"My autobiography Attention Whore will be out soon. It's worth a read if you want to read about the life of former cheerleader turned Women's soccer player, model and journalist. It's juicy stuff - if you don't want to be offfended by bad behaviour then don't read it. Includes a few admissions and details of things I shouldn't have done when I was younger. Some bits are a little explicit sexually too so be warned."

Pete:
"A good read for Dazza fans. Recommended for all members of the Dazza Dallas Fan club."

Dazza:
"Hey, all members of the Dazza Dallas Fan club get a free DVD of my wedding along with the book. Yes that wedding which took place in the Jerusalem United Stadium watched by many thousands of fans from the seats and millions on TV. A good reason to join the fan club now. Do it guys and girls."

Pete:
"That was a great day - for a Dazza fans except the ones who wanted to marry her."

Dazza:
"Well, that's it from me at the Women' World Cup 6. All we need is a draw or win. That's it."

Anastasiania Embarrass Themselves

Five matches, five defeats. That was the grim reading for any fans of women's football in Anastasiania, after their side had been routed throughout the Sixth Women's World Cup in Rorysville.

Nevertheless, there have been some encouraging signs - once the major shock in the first two matches had been overcome, the team played good attacking football, and was unlucky not to get any points in the games against Green Wombat and Toranat. The main concern remains the goalkeeping position, where 28-year-old veteran Lisa Ulvhammar had a nightmare of a tournament, conceding a whopping 18 goals in five games including a couple of match-deciding howlers against Green Wombat and Toranat.

The defensive line struggled at times with the offside trap, a tactic commonly employed in Anastasiania since attackers don't have the pace they had in this World Cup event. However, in one-on-one situations, both central defenders Johanna Söderström and Susanna Roponen showed enough talent to be persisted with, and left back Petria Chambury also impressed with occasional quick runs.

In the midfield, there were players with flair, though only Jen Maggart (four assists, two goals) stood up with more than the occasional show of technical elegance. Both Marianna Moilanen and Jenny Sastvik struggled with positioning, often allowing the central midfield to be overrun, thus creating chances near the penalty area.

The standout player of the tournament for Anastasiania - if such she may be called after five defeats - was nevertheless striker Ulrica Kackur. Kackur scored five of the nine goals in the tournament, including a couple of exquisitely curled free-kicks, a header off a corner, a tap-in from close range and a shot from ten yards after a brawl in the goalmouth area. The 21-year-old Bräckvik player has considerable future in the game, according to coach Christina Wikborg, who resigned after the tournament "hoping that someone else will take this team into some kind of competitive standard".

18-11-2006, 18:24
(Northlands Colosium Stadium, Rorysville) - After a calm game, when few players received cards and the teams respected each other, Spaam defeated Cafundéu in the 6th day of the World Cup. All Spaam's goals were scored in the first half, and all Cafundéu's goal were scored in the second half.

Spaam didn't release the list of players, so another time we needed to see the numbers of their players. Cafundéu's players had to play with their black kits.

The game started slow, with few chances. The first great chance was in the 12th minute, when #10 dribbled Viviane Paquetá and shot the ball, that hit the post. Five minutes later Alice passed to Ana Paula inside the area, but the defense blocked the striker that couldn't finish.

Spaam's dominance was visible, and they scored in the 19th minute. #11 passed to #10 who dribbled the goalkeeper and scored without problems. Four minutes later, another goal. #9 received the ball alone and only had to put it in the right side of the goal. 2x0.

Cafundéu tried to react, and had two chances. The first with Cris, after a corner. She headed the ball but the defender saved with her head. The second was with Fernanda Garcia, that dribbled one defender and shot. The goalkeeper made a great save.

Spaam lost one chance in the 25th minute. #5 shot from outside the area and Caroline had to save the ball twice. But, in the 28th minute, another goal. #5 had another chance to shot from outside the area and this time she could score. 3x0.

Both teams had chances in between the 30th and the 40th minutes. For Cafundéu, Ana Lopes missed a good chance after a rebound, she sent the ball over the bar. In another one, Joseane kicked the ball with strength and it passed near the post. For Spaam, #11 tried to dribble the goalkeeper and lost the ball and, after few minutes, #10 missed a bicycle kick when she could do a simple shot.

The game was so calm that the ref didn't need to run very much. Fair play and good passes marked the game. The people that were wathcing the game liked the show. In the 41st minute, another goal for Spaam. #10 headed the ball and scored after a corner kick. The first half ended 4x0.

Both coaches changed their teams, Spaam put #20 and #17 to reinforce the defensive midfield sector and Barglaux put Zélia in Ana Paula's place, injured. The second half started like the first, but Spaam stopped the attacks. In the 16th minute the first chance of the second half. #17 shot the ball and it hit the post. Cafundéu had a chance with Zélia, but she missed too.

In the 25th minute, Barglaux put the old Dani in Joseane's place. The game became boring and without chances. But, in the 31st minute, a goal. Alice ran, dribbled two defenders and shot in the left corner to score. Two minutes later, another goal. Fernanda Garcia made a good play and passed to Ana Lopes who scored easily.

After these two goals, Cafundéu had two more chances(40th and 43rd minutes) with Dani(the goalkeeper saved) and with Nanda taking a free kick(sent the ball wide). In the last minutes Spaam had a great chance with #5, but the goalkeeper saved.

The coach said: "It wasn't a nice first half for us, the game was very boring, but we managed to score twice in the second half. Is all that I want to say".

Dani said: "We lost, a fair play match, the first half had some emotion but the second was poor, but we played better in it". Ana Paula said that her injury wasn't serious and she can play the next game. Next game's formation will be: Caroline, Vanessa, Raposa, Cris and Natália Alves; Letícia, Alice, Joseane and Fernanda Garcia; Ana Lopes and Ana Paula.

Cafundéu x Spaam - Cafundéu's team: Caroline, Cris, Viviane Paquetá and Beatriz; Letícia, Alice, Joseane(Dani), Nanda and Fernanda Garcia; Ana Lopes and Ana Paula(Zélia).

Goals:SPA: #10 at 19' and 41' , #9 at 23' and #5 at 28'.
CAF: Alice 76' , Ana Lopes 78'.

A late burst of goals spruced up what was becoming a thrilling 0-0 draw between LE and Qazox, wound instead a thrilling 2-2 draw as both teams edged closer to Qualification. While Qazox still is in first place, a shocking loss to Cafundeu tommorrow could sent the Laday Oxen home early for the 1st time.

After 65 minutes neither side had scored, but Stefany Heisel scored in the 66th to put Qazox up 1-0, her 8th of this Cup. LE quickly answered in the 74th to tie it at 1-1 and in the 79th went up 2-1. But Risa Klyn sent home the tying goal in the 83rd minute, her 2nd to finish it up at 2-2.

Up next is Cafendeu, a newcomer, who will be looking to score one of the, if not the biggest upset in Women's World Cup history. Not gonna happen Qazox 5-0 is our prediction.

In other news, Sativaville's own loss to LE 1-2 eliminated them from contention, despite Su Mathe's goal in the 4th minute. The Lady Stoners' Coach has stepped down and our own Andrea Childress-Turner is one of the front runners to take the coaching job.

<Hot redhead holding a microphone and basket of Cherries>

"Hey, it's me Dazza Dallas at the Womens' World Cup 6. Today we played Starblaydia again for the right to get into the finals. Anna's team including myself wanted to take revenge on the team called the Cherries - their team blasted our World Cup 31 team five one deny us a place in the quarter-finals and it was our turn change things around. We beat Starblaydia TWO ONE and we will in the finals and not Starblaydia. Make no bones about it, it was hard game but our womens' team is good - 3 times champs and we aren't going to roll over when defending our title. All I can say is watch the game on replay because you want to us beat Starblaydia here even if we can't beat them in the World Cup proper. Ladies and gentlemen, the Angels will fly once again and they picked the Cherries."

<eats a Cherry>

"These are yummy! Nice fresh local produce here. In the other game - Rorysville beat the Green Wombat team to top the Rorysville group. Rorysville, the hosts, won FOUR ONE so it's Rorysville and Jeruselem who progress. Jeruselem only lost one game - to Rorysville. Rorysville look like being a big danger here - right now."

<eats another Cherry>

"In the Northern States Group, Qazox and Liverpool England progressed. Qazox won their last game against Cafundeu, while Liverpool England's 2 ALL draw with poor old Spaam allowed the Terminator chicks to progress. If Spaam had won, they would have progressed."

<eats another Cherry>

"The Islands Group - Haraki and Wentland had made already, but Wentland grabbed top spot. Wentland beat Rordia ONE NIL and stole the top spot, due to a Haraki bye. The other teams were out of it a long time ago"

<eats another Cherry>

"And finally, the York/Sherbrooke Group. Yafor 2 topped the group, with a THREE ONE win over The Mushroom Kingdom. Yes, no losses for this Yafor 2 team at all. Arridia lost their spot because Marceau State grabbed one point in a might fight against lowly Noremark, who almost upset the Frencies in a FOUR ALL draw. Poor Arridia! They are on same WIN-DRAW-LOSS record and goal difference to Marceau State, but had scored one less goal. Yes one less goal and they were out."

<eats another Cherry>

"These are good. Have to get some of these. So the best eight teams are back - we almost made a mess of it but champs fight back when things go bad. Oh, YAP YAP or as some call it - Dazza sells stuff. Speaking of selling stuff, my autobiography is on sale now! Priced cheaply too, 40 shekels excluding postage and handling. It does have colour photos too, not just line after line of text. Dazza Dallas Fan CLub members get a free DVD if you get from the fan club. So, get my book and have a good read. A Russian version will be out sometime but not now - find Russian translators who are competant is hard in Jeruselem. That's it for me for now, sweet dream and take care of your man girls. I miss my family at home - my love to my husband and son as well as my sister - and her six zillion kids. And Mum and Dad too."

Wentland squeezed past Hakari by one goal to nil in today's Women's World Cup group qualifying match. The only goal was scored by Honey Weeks, who came on as substitute for the lacklustre Thalia Pellegrini.

The Blue Tits have kept faith with their all-time leading scorer, even though in today's match she seemed almost shell-shocked. On two occasions she was presented with gilt-edged chances but both times miskicked when it seemed easier to score. In the end manager Edwina Bluff had to take off the disconsolate striker who could only watch as her replacement clinched a crucial win.

Wentland are into the last 8 for the fifth consecutive time, although they still need a point from the final game to ensure they lead the group.

Cafundeu
19-11-2006, 23:44
(Cardinal Stadium, Rorysville) - The last game of Cafundéu in this World Cup was very good. The stadium was full of people and they saw a nice match. Cafundéu couldn't score in the solid defense of Qazox. The result wasn't so bad and at least Cafundéu wasn't the last placed in its group, finishing in front of Montegrande.

Before the game, the media tried to know the opinion of the coach Barglaux about the declarations of Qazox that they would win the game by a difference of five goals or even more. He seemed confident and said that it wouldn't happen and that the team would make their best.

Both teams were calm, ready for a peaceful and nice game, and, when the referee started the match, the show started. In the first minute, Risa Klyn got the ball and dribbled two defenders. Shot with strength but Caroline made a secure save. Two minutes after, Stefany Heisel fell in the area and asked for a penalty, but instead of that received a yellow card for simulating a foul.

In the 5th minute, Joseane dribbled a defender and passed to Alice. Alice waited some time to give the ball back to Joseane that shot and scored the goal, but she was offside. In the 9th minute, Julia Childress passed the ball to Denise Vinson, who made a horrible shot and lost a great chance.

In the 13th minute, Ana Lopes shot the ball, the goalkeeper gave the rebound and Ana Paula missed the chance. One minute after, Stefany Heisel dribbled Cris and fell near the area, this time was a clear foul and Cris received the yellow card. 15th minute: Olivia Garden had a chance after a corner, heading the ball over the bar.

20th minute: Fernanda Garcia dribbled three defenders, tried to dribble the fourth and was tackled, but the ball remained to Raposa who tried to shot from outside the area but missed the goal. 23rd minute: Andrea Childress-Turner received another yellow card after complaining with the ref.

26th minute: Andrea Childress-Turner tried a volley inside the area and missed, falling on the ground with pains. Nothing serious, but the coach changed her and put Shamia in her place. 30th minute: Letícia saw the path clear for her, ran inside the area and crossed to Ana Paula, who headed the ball in the hands of the goalkeeper. The game was very equal and both teams were playing very well, a great game, but after the 35th minute Qazox started to show all its force.

36th minute: Sonja Clay passed to Risa Klyn inside the area. She dribbled a goalkeeper and shot, obligating Caroline to make a wonderful save. In the corner, Sonja Clay headed the ball and it hit the post. 40th minute: Vanessa made a good play from the right and was fouled. The ref ignored it and Vanessa complained, receiving the yellow card.

42nd minute: Denise Vinson received the ball alone, with all the chances to score, but missed another incredible chance. After that, all the players seemed tired and the first half ended.

For the second half, Barglaux put Nanda and Viviane Paquetá in Vanessa's and Raposa's places. Kylie Rena put Andrea Hilton in Denise Vinson's place. The second hlaf started calm. In the 5th minute, Nanda missed a good chance from a free kick. Two minutes after, Viviane Paquetá was hit by a mini-radio thrown from the stands, but she was able to return to the game. Fair play was present in the game.

10th minute: Jeanie Mosley shot from outside the area and Natália Alves saved over the line. 12th minute: Stephanie McDonald took the ball in the midfield and made a good play, but Risa Klyn didn't dominate the ball. 18th minute: Ana Lopes disputed the ball with the goalkeeper and both fell in the ground. Both were okay, but received yellow cards after a discussion.

24th minute: A Montegrande supporter invaded the pitch asking for Qazox's players to score, and was removed by the security. The game calmed down and both teams attacked less, but Qazox held more the ball. 28th minute: Andrea Hilton received the ball and shot from outside the area scoring a great goal.

Later, Barglaux put Mazinha in Letícia's place and Rena put Sasha Foster in Jeanie Mosley's place. 30th minute: Sasha Foster missed a good chance after a corner. 33rd minute: Ana Lopes tried to score, but threw the ball to the fans.

35th minute: Stefany Heisel dribbled a defender, invaded the area and shot the ball to the right side of the goal, scoring the second goal. After that Qazox defended and hold the ball, and Cafundéu was unable to take the ball back. During 5 minutes Qazox passed the ball between its players, but Ana Paula took the ball but let it leave the field.

In the last minutes, the game stopped. And ended. After the game, CFFC's director, Ariella Grahna, said: "It was a nice first WC for us. In the game against Montegrande the referee made us lost two points, but, anyway, in general we liked it very much. Surely we'll play the next WCs and some other championships, maybe even trying to host one".

Ana Lopes said: "I liked it. I scored three goals and next time I'll score even more". Fernanda Garcia said: "Yes, now let's watch the remaining games".

The coach Barglaux said: "They said that they would defeat us with the result of 5x0, but they couldn't. They were thinking that we were trash, and we show them that we aren't. We are a good team that needs to be respected. No team could defeat us with more then two goals of difference, and maybe in the next World Cup we can get a better result".

Alice Grahna said too: "Yes, now only our referees are still in this World Cup. Carla Almahda whistled Ariddia x Marceau State and Noremark x The Mushroom Kingship, while Karine Lagos Souza whistled Jeruselem x Anastasiania. And maybe they can even participate in some games of the playoffs".

Edwina Bluff was discussing the quarter final line-up with Nikki Griffin.

The defence was easy enough. Foy in goal, Horne, Jones, Rhodes across the back. They'd adapted well to the 3-1-3-1-2.

Midfield picked itself as well. Kumble in a defensive, holding role. Stephens, Dougall and Saunders in the middle. Yates behind the forwards. Davies and Cadman ready on the bench to supplement.

Up front, however. Problems. Hunt was still not 100%, Weeks exhausted after her two appearances, and Pellegrini's confidence shot to ribbons.

Kaz Flack was the obvious choice. She was scoring for fun. But alongside her...

Bluff pencilled in a name. "You can't do that, boss," said Nikki Griffin. "That will finish her."

"No, she must start...I have the option for a change..."

"It's the quarter-finals...it's not the time to take the risk..."

Edwina Bluff frowned. "You're right...let me sleep on it..."

The next morning Bluff changed her mind. Again.

She had done this all with choosing the squad. Toss a coin? No, that's stupid. Look for an omen? Even more stupid.

In the end she went with the logical decision.

***

The camera panned across the Wentland squad as they lined up for the national anthems. Different reactions. Lucinda Rhodes determined; Kaz Flack excited; Anne Foy irrepressible; Rach Horne delighted; Anna Kumble inscrutable; Laura Jones firm.

And Honey Weeks nervous as hell.

A closer match than most expected, but the Lady Oxen will be moving on after a tough 2-0 win against a very pesky Cafendeu team.

Andrea Hilton scored a goal in the 73rd minute after being subbed in for Denise Vinson. Stefany Heisel added the 2nd goal in the 80th to end any chance of an upset. Andrea Childress-Turner was taken out with a leg injury in the 26th minute and at press-time her status for the rest of the tourney is unknown.

The match was marred with yellow cards as the referees seemd to whistle every contact as a foul. Both teams combined for 43 fouls, (Qazox 24- Cafendeu-19). Yellows were collected by Stefany Heisel (3'), Andrea Childress-Turner (23'), Julia Kidd (63') and Denise Vinson (45').

Up next is Haraki, surprisingly one of the few teams we've never faced before. Our styles are similar, but Haraki is known to sit back and wait for things to happen, while Qazox attacks without relent. I see a classic match, but Qazox will advance 2-1.

Sorry, double post.
Cafundeu
20-11-2006, 19:02
To end Cafundéu's participation in this WC, National TV's sports reporter Zeca Corujão will show his opinions about this competition:

Cafundéu's Performance: we didn't win, but we weren't the last placed ones. I know that the people were expecting victories and a good position, but we need to understand that this was our first participation, and it wasn't so bad. Maybe next time we can win a game.

Positive Surprises in the Team: Joseane was one surprise. Before the competition she was a normal bench player, but she played really well. Zélia also surprised too, she wasn't on top form(had a baby) but helped the team a lot in some games, and didn't have problems with her team mate Ana Lopes.

Negative Surprises in the Team: Vanessa was the main one. Although she is very determined, she is too confident and arrogant. The niece of the emperor was sometimes violent and even received a red card. Letícia was another one that didn't show all her potential. Many people say that Fernanda Garcia didn't play well, but I don't believe in this.

Montegrande's goal: Cafundéu's players and staff complained very much about the goal that was offside and was allowed. But this things happen in football, and we need to be ready to face these situations. Stop complaining, we know that she was offside, but there's nothing that we can do.

Violence: one of the major problems of the team. The team was too violent, receiving many yellow cards and even two red cards. Maybe they were too anxious and willing to win, maybe Serginho Mallandro made too many bad jokes during the WC, so they fouled more than the usual, but this really was a problem. Although the team was very honest and respected all the fair play rules during all the games.

Qazox game: the media pressured the players too much before the game against Qazox because of their predictions. I think that it wasn't necessary, the players felt nervous because of that. The predictions are part of the game and it's not a provocation. I'm sure that Qazox respect Cafundéu in the same way that Cafundéu respect Qazox. Both countries have good relations and in football this isn't different.

Coach and Directors: Barglaux, Jowenguard and Grahna talked a lot with the media. Barglaux surely liked the experience to be in a World Cup, and Jowenguard wasn't worried about the results. Grahna seemed more worried about the money and about the referees that Cafundéu sent to the WC.

Souvenirs: I saw many players and members of the staff carrying items that they bought in Rorysville. They liked the country and their people. I even saw Vanessa carrying a small radio. When I asked her where she found that, se said: "It fell in my head. Someone threw it from the stands in the game against Qazox. Now it's mine".

That's all.

One and done....hardly for the Lady Moose

The Lady Moose Continue thier Impressive unbeaten Streak with a hard fought win over Rival Marceau in Extratime The game shutdown the entire nation for the game as both Marceau and Rorysville Rival states that at one point were seperate nations showed that the war was still going at least on the field. On to the match-After listing to the State Anthems then the National Anthem was played and for the only time in the game the players, coaches and Fans were united. Then came the game underneth a deafaning roar of the crowd Marceau's Adrianne Lemaire took down Erin Banner in the box resulting in a yellow card for Lemaire and a Penalty Kick for Rorysville. Carrie Banner would take the kick and bury it past Lemmeare. with the score at one nill Rorysville and Marceau exchanged heavy tackles and very physical play word of a couple scuffles in the stands had filtered into the lockerrooms at half time both teams realised the enours moment they were involved in.The second half started with a bang as Dani Rousseau put the ball through Allie Slone's legs and went in unopposed against Svenernsky burying the ball into the twine and launching the Marceau Faithfull into Les Champions Victory song that song would propel Marceau as the started taking the play to Rorysville and once again cracked the defense and took a 2-1 lead on a Kristen Kalymon goal at the 67th minute. Rorysville would claw their way back into the game as the physical play continued and at the 72nd minute ugliness resulted in a Red card for Marceau's Michelle Lafleur as she took down Carrie Banner with a Horsecollar style tackle usually seen in the RVFL but as in the RVFL it resulted in a penalty Carrie took the penalty kick but Lemmeare answered things stayed as is until Rorysville finally broke through as Jordan Kielty notched her biggest goal of her young life at the 85th minute. with the game tied Extra time would be needed Rorysville charged harder and harder and showed why they were the Tops in the Tournament and one of the Top teams in the world as they notched the winner in extra time Setting the Stadium and the entire nation alive with Emotion Katie Summers's goal will forever be remebered as the Goal that put Rorysville into the Elite of the World. As for Marceau thier first venture into the Quarterfinals was a learning lesson and they can only get better from it.Now comes Rorysville's Chance for Vengance as Qazox bounced Rorysville in Women's World Cup IV and Rorysville would love to answer that one with thier own win and putting them into the Finals.

<Hot redhead in Pink>

"Hi, I'm Dazza Dallas at the Women's World Cup 6 in beautiful Rorysville. The quarterfinals have been played and many people are going home in tears and others are happy. 8 teams are in and four of them had to go home. Last four cups - Jeruselem were in the top 4, only did we fail in the 1st cup - and we made the top 8 then. Actually, this means we've never failed to make top 8 so far. Pretty good eh? Actually we nearly muffed in this world cup, but when it's finals time - Jeruselem are the Queens! and current champs"

<adjusts her hair>

"Firstly, our quarterfinal. We played ... wait for it, our friends Yafor 2 again. At this stage, Yafor 2 had not lost a game and Jeruselem scraped into the quarterfinals. Now, would Yafor 2 overcome us or will we just walkies all over them again? Now as you see I'm not crying, or being a complete sook - so you we won, well again. Yafor 2 scored an early goal but once again Dazza got to work - and made their life hell. They were so busy trying to contol me and Anna, the other team members got a little freedom and score a few goals for luck. I might not have scored but Lindsay Lohan actually did something, Mousi scored a rare goal and Sassani's jihad was complete. So we are back, Angels - God's angels of soccer death ... yeah"

"The Ox girls - they are so good, I might be mistaken for one of their team, apart from me being Dazza. Haraki took them on and Haraki are good team except when they play in the finals. The Ox girls took down Haraki and again progress to the top 4. TWO NIL to the Ox girls and well, they look good for another cup barring us and another team. Yes, Qazox cycling is good and so are the women's team. Err, and yes - they did beat Starblaydia twice in the other world cup, but we could not."

"Wentland - can they actually win one? First they had to deal with Liverpool England and the Blue Tits flew home with an extra time win TWO ONE. Wentland once again progress into the top 4 but can they break the hoodoo - because it's the hoodoo of running into red hot teams like us and Qazox."

"Oh, the hosts - the ones who beat us where Starblaydia failed. Last cup, they impressed and made the top 4 - losing to Qazox. This time, they don't look like fall over yet. Marceau State are a big improving team and it took quite an effort for the hosts to beat them. THREE TWO requiring overtime. The hosts roll on and Rorysville people are pushing their team into glory."

"The semis - look familar? Wentland crash into - Jeruselem. Well, they would have played Qazox otherwise so you can't be choosy can you? My tips - you know who I tip. Qazox take on the hosts Rorysville and it's the hosts who are seeking revenge for last semi-final. It could be Jeruselem vs Qazox or it could a Wentland vs Roryville final."

"Oh, this Polaris Energy Field stadium is like being some big UFO, without the South Park anal probes. 100,000 people - all watched us make the top 4."

"Read my book yet? Well, if you did - you found something out. My father isn't my biological father. Yes, my Mum is my Mum but well - Dazza's a child of a ... wild party. Mum got too friendly with local Jeruselem soccer player during a party and well, the result was me - which explains why I'm different to my sister. So want know who my real father is?"

<John Jerk, Jeruselem women's coach appears>

John:
"OK Jeruselem, it's time to confess it's me. DNA test verified it ..."

Dazza:
"Yes, my coach is well Dad. I was surprised but as you see John isn't tall nor is he the biggest fella around. And his knees aren't that good either."

John:
"Dazza's my daughter, and well I didn't know it until a few years ago. Well, looks like Dazza turned OK - it's funny coaching Dazza and not realising she's your daughter. Well, I'm proud of her despite me being an absent parent."

Dazza:
"I've got two Dads - now I cannot complain."

John:
"My new wife is as old as Dazza - a man over 50 like me is going to have problems now. One calls me Big Daddy and Dazza here calling me Dad."

Dazza:
"Well, that's it from me. I've have talk to Dad. Oh, John's wife is Russian bride - named Daria."

John:
"Good thing, I didn't marry Dazza. What a mess it would be ... an unholy mess. The Jeruselem girls are having a good laugh at me right now ... Dazza's my daughter, man."

"It's no good, boss...she'll have to come off..."

"Can she not be revived?"

"No, she's concussed...it'll only make it worse..."

"OK...get warmed up, Thalia..."

Honey Weeks was in agony as she was stretchered off. Not because of her injury but because Wentland's world cup dream was in tatters. With Kaz Flack substituted early on with a sprained ankle after treading on the ball, Weeks had just literally hit the post - heading the woodwork in a vain attempt to stop Liverpool England from taking the lead.

And there were scarce 8 minutes of extra time to go.

Gemma Hunt had come on and had the odd chance but Honey Weeks, 33 years young, was the most likely to score. And now she was off.

Thalia Pellegrini came on to sympathetic support from the neutrals and a roar from part of the crowd. Her goal famine had lasted 18 matches now and her confidence was in the floor.

But she was now on with Wentland's hopes on her.

She tapped the ball sideways to Hunt from the kick-off. It went back to Saunders who played it wide for Dougall to overlap. Young Rose was tired but desperate not to show it as she took on the LivEng defence and won a corner.

Tricia Yates came across to take. Laura Jones came up and it was aimed for her. A header...deflection...GOAL!!! GOAL!!!! GOAL!!!!!

A small pyramid of royal blue and white formed on the goal-line and it took some time to disentangle. And none other than Thalia Pellegrini was at the base of it, emerging with a look of beatitude on her face.

The replay showed what happened. Jones headed it towards goal but the keeper, static on the line, had it covered - until it struck a falling Pellegrini. The ball skidded off the bottom of her studs and between a defender on the goal-line and the suddenly hapless goalie and kissed the net. One-all.

A freak, certainly, but suddenly Pellegrini was her old self again. Darting this way and that, seeking space, and the whole Wentland team got a lift. With four minutes to go Rach Horne came up in support after Yates was tacked and chipped a delicate cross to the far post. Where Pellegrini pounced predatorially and buried a bullet header off the goal-line and into the back of the net. Two-one.

The final four minutes saw a frantic LivEng desperately trying to sneak an equalizer and Wentland nearly escaping for a match-winning third. And when Pellegrini was sent clear in injury time it looked like she would get her hat-trick. But instead she headed for the corner-flag, held it up...and kissed the turf in sheer relief as the final whistle sent Wentland into the World Cup semi-final for the third time.

All easy now, thought Edwina Bluff. Only Jeruselem. Heh.

Covering our 6th World Cup!!!

(ooc: the wiki is here:http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Women%27s_World_Cup_6.. and will be updated)

The first three times Qazox played in the Quarterfinals or Round of 16, they were beaten and left to fend in placement matches, but 8 years ago, they finallly broke through, and now it looks like they might not leave, espically after a 2-0 victory over Haraki, that was not as close as it seemed.

The match began slowly as neither side had but videotapes of the other, but Qazox' aggressiveness quickly wore down the midfield of Haraki and in the 16th minute, Stefany Heisel scored following a corner kick. Haraki tried to quickly score, but the Qazox midfield quickly squashed that chance, and only 25 minutes into the match, Qazox was up 2-0 on another goal by Heisel. The remainder of the match saw wave after wave of Harakian attack falter, but somehow The Lady Oxen couldn't capitalize on the turnovers, and only wound up with the 2 goals.

Up next is a re-match of the Round of 16 match 8 years ago, where it all started, Rorysville-Qazox. Rorysville dispatched their former colony Marceau State 3-2 in extra time. The Lady Moose have vastly improved over the last few years and this could be a match that could catch Qazox looking ahead to the finals where they could have a re-match with either Jeruselem or Wentland. Home field does help, but i think the Lady Oxen are still just a step ahead of the Moosettes, and will win 2-1 on penalties.

OOC - Oh great I lost another shoot-out

Anna Goldstein stepped up to take Jeruselem's fourth shot. The Lindsay Lohan had missed her shot completely, but Dazza and her Dallas relative Rashina had scored. The Dallas girls were always good at penalty kicks - it was a pity about the rest of the team though. Jeruselem's shoot out records in most competitions was woeful - except in the Women's World Cup where they did win a few including one over Starblaydia and one to win a final. Wentland lead THREE TWO in the penalties. If she messed this up, then Wentland would go though with one successful conversion.

She picked her spot and hoped the Wentland keeper would guess wrong. She hit her shot and and the keeper tipped over the bar. It was all over as the Wentlander who was up next converted. Jeruselem had lost a shoot-out and a chance to win their 4th cup.

Anna sat their crying - she would not be a champion in her last Women's World cup. Despite Dazza and her Dad (Jeruselem coach) attempt to console her, it was really all over for Anna. Retirement was nearing and Jeruselem would not retain the crown. Only one thing to play for 3rd spot, but no one remembers who came third. It was her first and only captaincy - and she messed it up, the only Jeruselem captain without a cup. Debbie Dallas, Penny Gadget and Dazza had one each - she had none.

<later>

Anna: I'm a failure (sobs)
Dazza: Hey, no you're not. Nothing wrong with being in the top 4. We came 3rd at my first attempt as captaincy - come one, cheer up. We have the hosts to beat and Dazza want revenge.

Anna: Rorysville? So Qazox won?
Dazza: Yes, Wentland vs Qazox final again. I think the Wentland girls will this one.

Anna: Still, we didn't make the final. It's a failure by Jeruselem standards.
Dazza: Look, we made the semis. We are going to beat Rorysville - Dazza's planning their downfall now.

John: Hi Dazza, you ready for the TV thing? I'll cover for Anna here - she needs time to get back to herself. She's doing a Dazza onscreen at the moment.
Dazza: Oh course, Dad! Err, oh you mean Dazza hates losing trip, hehe.

Anna: I'll just sit here and think. You and your Dad go on TV without me.
Dazza: Don't do anything stupid. That's Dazza's job.

John: Dazza, it's that top a little too well, breasty?
Dazza: What's wrong with it? That's what my Mum used to wear, remember?

John: Oh yes, your Mum was well rather attractive. I guess that will keep the viewers minds on something else other than the loss. You look like my wife, Daria too.
Dazza: Let's go! Time to rumble, err, wobble. Dazza's going to put in a show - to distract them from the fact we lost.

John: OK Anna, we'll be back. After Dazza's YAP YAP. No nudity, Dazza.
Dazza: Take care, Dazza's got to dazzle the viewers once again - and no nudity Dad. Just a little Dazza magic.

<John and Dazza leave>

Anna: I don't know how that Dazza keeps on rolling like that, she's so mentally tough. (sighs)

Women's World Cup Edition

THE DREAM IS OVER!

Thats the final we lost again to Qazox in Rorysville this time it was alot closer and we should all applaud the effort that the girls put on against the former champs no matter how we sliced it we were the odd team out is the final four we had the Three Time Champion the Champion of WWCIV and then there was 6th ranked Wentland problly the closest team to us they again made the finals and we would've faced them but in the end a hard fought loss gets us a rematch with Jeruselem who will be looking for revenge as we suprised them in the Group stages.let's take a look at the game now.

After comming out to a deafaning roar of the crowd Rorysville settled into thier game that got them this far patient and controled. Qazox tried as they might but were met with an answer at every turn.Risa Klyn had the best chance early on but Svenernsky had the answer in goal. ROrysville would hold down the team that they struggled so mightaly against in WWCIV then it happened the youngest starter in the Qazox lineup broke through Sonja Clay burried the ball past Svernernsky. and just like that at the 36th minute Rorysville was down but this time not out as they turned up the pressure and started attacking with some confidence the half ended with the score 1 nill but Qazox and the Fans could sense that Rorysville wasn't out. The Second half started with Bayshore Stadium being rocked by the Fans Singing the National Anthem in Unison at a volume that made it almost loud enough to be heard in Downtown Rorysville. That emotion would push The Lady Moose into an even more powerfull attack and then this
"Summers with the ball she moves it up to Kielty...Kielty moving forward she moves past the defense finds Carrie Banner alone Banner with the ball ShOOTS.....GOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLL!!!!!!!!! BANNER!!!!! what a magnificant goal Rorysville has thied the game at one all!"
with banners goal the stadium trembled and Qazox had to do something to get themselves back in control and quite the deafaning crowd. and 7 minutes later it happened when Risa Klyn found her way through the defense and drilled the ball behind Svernernsky putting them up 2-1 and again the crowd was silenced as they were stunnend. With that the game sttled back into a rythem of chances and attacks being answered by both sides. as the final whistle sounded Rorysville again lost to Qazox and Qazox for the third time in a row reached the Finals. As the Team Applauded the Fans at Bayshore Stadium the Crowd sent them off in style as all the girls had tear streaming down thier faces the Crowd sang the National Anthem then sang You'll never walk alone a song rarley heard in international events but heard throughout RV Celtic Games of the RVFA.We'll see the Lady Moose one more time this time from Marceau's Invasion Field in the Consolation game.

Covering our 6th World Cup!!!

(ooc: the wiki is here:http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Women%27s_World_Cup_6.. and will be updated)

History was made today as Qazox became the 1st women's team to make it to three straight finals, following a thrilling 2-1 win earlier today agaisnt hosts Rorysville. Sonja Clay started the scoring in the 36th minute with a wonderful gaol that weaved through 2 defenders and into the net. The Lady Oxen seemed in control as the half ended and for the first few minutes of the 2nd half, but Rorysville's Banner scored in the 47th minute to send the crowd in Bayshore Stadium which had over 105,000 fans, absolutely crazy. But the crowd was silenced just 7 minutes later when Risa Klyn broke the tie on a direct kick. The Lady Moose tried in vain to tie the match up, but after 90 minutes of play, Qazox was going to the finals once again.

In the Finals, they will face... Wentland, who knocked off Jeruselem on penalties. So its not the re-match, Qazoxians wanted, but still the Wentland-Qazox rivalry still will bring in the crowds. Hopefully this time we won't have to go to a shootout to decide it. I predict that the Lady Oxen will re-claim their crown, 3-2, in regulation.

THIRD TIME LUCKY?
Pellegrini penalty sends Blue Tits to final

When the Great Book of Women's Football is written, this match will occupy an entire chapter. Oh, the twists and turns of fortune, how can one discern the pattern when cascaded within like a whirligig of confusion?

It was not a match but a demonstration of skill, sublimity and passion. An occasion where the participants themselves rode the wave of spacetime as the mere playthings of Fate...propelled hither and yon as the reigning World Champions tried to make it a second on the trot and Wentland tried to make it a second final.

Jeruselem struck the first blow almost from the kick-off when Grosso rose above Laura Jones to glance home a header from a Goldstein chip. Forty-eight seconds and the Wentland dream had turned into nightmare.

An Angelic wave swept forward seeking the killer stroke to destroy the Blue Tits. Goldstein herself nearly doubled the lead with a free-kick that struck the woodwork. Lohan's cheeky backheel set Epie through who miskicked with the goal at her mercy. And Lohan was foiled - a theme to come - by Anne Foy's extraordinary acrobatics when a 30 yard lob had Triple X scrambling and scambling.

But gradually the Petterham Pets in midfield engaged with the game and produced some passing movement of their own. Rosie Dougall clipped the top of the bar with a dipping volley and Gwennie Saunders tested Jane with a drive from a Flack knock-down.

By half-time each side had had 9 attempts on target. And it was still 1-0.

The second half was more of the same; Wentland pressing, Jeruselem looking dangerous on the break. Flack saw Jane save brilliantly. A marauding Kumble from defensive midfield saw a point-blank header pushed away and Flack hit the post with the rebound. Weeks thought she had equalized from a Yates corner but Zidane cleared from the line. At the other end Bomba panzered her way through to bring out the best in Foy. Rhodes also tested Foy with a mistimed header that could have ended the game there and then.

With 4 minutes to go the teams were still separated by the first minute goal. But the gods themselves wished the sport be extended by 30 minutes and their instrument was Karen Flack. The Flack Attack held the ball up at the edge of the area as Yates came through...tap back to Yates, turn around and meet the Yates chip as sweet as a million pounds of sugar concentrated into a single drop and pipetted onto the tongue of heaven and Jane could only dive for the photo albums as the ball nearly brast the net asunder. 1-1.

And extra time. Which opened with a second Wentland goal. Substitute Pellegrini had come on for a tiring Honey Weeks and scored with nearly her first touch; Stephens hefted the ball forward and amidst confusion in the Angels' defence Pellegrini needed no second invitation. Her confidence is back and the ball was sidefooted past Jane. If only that had been done a minute earlier...

Now it was Jeruselem's turn to attack. And attack and attack. The Wentland goal was not used to such onslaughtery and after 102 minutes the equalizer came. After a corner was not properly cleared Dazza Dallas drove home from the edge of the area - and picked up the game's only booking with a celebration that was described by the referee in her report as "pornographic". Certainly the ball-boy had a smile on his face for the remainder of the game and had to hide behind the corner flag.

Jeruselem did not want penalties and pounded away at the Wentland goal. Wentland, with a penalty record second to none in incompetence, did not want penalties either and broke rapidly to seize a winner. But winner came there none.

And so come 122 minutes of gruelling action, 47 shots on target in total, one booking, four goals and a hundred thousand exhilarated fans, came the penalty shoot-out.

Jeruselem goal.Dazza Dallas put it straight down the middle as Foy sought the sanctuary of the left hand post.

Wentland goal.Imelda Davies had been brought on with six minutes to go especially for the shoot-out and she made no mistake - hard and high to the static goalie's right.

Jeruselem miss.Rashina Dallas followed her aunt's lead and went for the middle again, Foy had gone the other way.

Wentland goal.Rach Horne, right-back, calmly slotted it to Jihad Jane's left with a side-foot; Jane had been dummied to the opposite direction.

Jeruselem miss.Lindsay Lohan stuttered in the run-up and her weak shot was saved by Anne Foy going to her left.

Wentland goal.Captain Kumble came up and turned it in off the left post, as Jane again went the wrong way. Relief for Kumble who had mis-hit it...

Jeruselem miss.Anna Goldstein did everything right but score. Hard, high, accurate...only Anne Foy somehow got a hand to it and pushed it up and over.

And with 2 penalties to go Wentland needed one to go through.

Cue Thalia Pellegrini.

Perhaps Anna Kumble had sent her up because there was less pressure,
with a penalty in hand, or maybe it was because she needed a confidence boost, or maybe it was because her confidence was back. No-one knew.

Until she took the penalty.

She ran up to the ball with her body tilted to her left...Jane started going to her right in anticipation...and watched in agony as the ball floated ever-so-slowly about eight inches under the bar and gently kissed the fibres deep behind the line.

It was over...Wentland were in the final...only the third time ever for a Wentland outfit. With two runner-up finishes in world football (and a seven goal thrashing in the first) would the third final be the charm?

OOC - Well done everyone! Except my ability to win shoot-outs. Losing two in a row? Feeling sorry for Wentland too. So LE 1 (1 finals), Qazox 2 (three finals), Jeruselem 3 cups (3 finals). Yafor 2 and Wentland with two finals each and err no wins.

The tableau at the end was indicative of the match result. Firstly confusion as the Wentland players appealed for a penalty and the Qazox players claimed Garden had played the ball and the referee blew...

...then realization that the referee had blown for time.

Thalia Pellegrini stood with her hands on her head, uncomprehending. The prostrate Gemma Hunt - convinced she had been fouled - started after the referee until Anna Kumble grabbed hold of her. Rosie Dougall was on her knees with a thousand yard stare. Honey Weeks just dissolved into tears, a crumple on the pitch, her last chance gone.

It was over. Yet again Wentland had come close. Yet again the Cup was out of reach.

After a whirlwind first half from the Lady Oxen the Cup was a million billion miles away, Wentland going in two down and seemingly out of it.

Edwina Bluff went for the gamble. A triple substitution at half time, trying to shore up the defence and prop up the attack. Kaz Flack had had the situation overcome her and was doing nothing - Honey Weeks came on. The shape went to 4-3-3 as Ellie Beaven came on with her half-sister for Saunders. And Gemma Hunt replaced Stephens.

The Blue Tits came back with a vengeance. The experienced Weeks was not the fastest of runners but had an almost telepathic understanding with Beaven and the latter's cross was glanced home by the former with half-an-hour left to play. And as Wentland poured forward the equalizer came with eleven minutes left on the clock; young Rosie Dougall hovering at the edge of the area was able to profit after two tackles stopped both Weeks and Pellegrini to drive home through a Somme of a penalty area.

But the last ten minutes were all Qazox as they made substitutions and the fresher players made a difference. Harris and Foster in particular looked sparky and it took a magnificent save from Anne Foy to take the game into extra-time.

Alas, with no further options Wentland were against it. The first period was all Qazox and again Foy and desperate defending kept the Blue Tits in it. It was only a matter of time before the dam broke - but it nearly did for the Blue Tits, as a tiring Weeks was sent clean through but her chip bounced agonizingly off the bar. The despair could be read into Wentland faces and within a minute of nearly going 3-2 up they were 3-2 down as a half-clearance landed at Vinson's feet and the unattached forward curled it into the top corner.

Qazox celebrated and Wentland had eight minutes to rescue it. But there was no energy left and it looked as if Qazox had to make a mistake. And they did - very late a short back-pass found Gemma Hunt with one last burst suddenly nearly through. Decieta lunged back with a desperate tackle and ball and players collapsed together.

The Wentland players appealed for a penalty...the Qazox players yelled that Decieta had played the ball...the referee blew the whistle...and pointed...

...to the middle.

Women's World Cup Edition

Anyone for Leftovers?

A game that some say is meaningless but don't tell that to Jeruselem or The Lady Moose this game meant alot and Rorysville again was able to beat Jeruselem in the Rematch of all Rematches. On to the game.

Even thought they were playing in Marceau City a place where the Lady Moose Usually get booed the teams came out to a suprisingly boustrious and loud crowd The Rorysville supprters traveed to Marceau and enjoyed the fact that they didn't have to worry about thier cars as they wern't playing against Marceau in Marceau. The Roar from the crowd was great both sides singing thier national anthems even before the Anthems were played. After a Flyover by 2 MDF-3's stationed at Air Guard Base Marceau the teams were ready for the Game. Much like when these teams met they exchanged chances with Dazza Dallas cracking the score first at the 37th minute in past tme the Lady Moose might have felt beaten but with thier prevous win we knew how to come back ad did so in the stoppage time for the first half when Jordan Kielty Broke through and netted the tieing goal sending the teams into halftime tied .Teh Second half started with the teams excahnging chances and playing hard nosed defense after a hard tackle by Michelle Manery in the box Jereuselem's Jo Guest took the penalty kick and netted it past Svenernsky with Rorysville down 2-1 and with only 10 minutes left Manery would attone for her tackle when she booted the ball and it bent right in past Jihad Jane tieing teh game and sending the teams into overtime. Both teams fought hard through both Extra time halfs and in the end they needed a shootout. For Rorysville Carrie Banner,Alexandria Banner, and Katlin Forrester scored while Erin Banner and Jordan Kielty missed thier penalty kicks for Jeruselem Jo Guest and Anna Goldstein netted thier penaltys while the rest of the Jeruselem kickers missed out.Rorysville now has to be springboarded into the Elite class of Women's Soccer.

Covering our 6th World Cup!!!

TWICE IS VERY NICE!!!!

Qazox won its 2nd Women's World Cup in Rorysville against the same country they had beaten 8 years ago, and once again there was some controversy.

The 1st half was all Qazox' as Risa Klyn scored just 6 minutes in giving the Lady Oxen a 1-0 lead. Stefany Heisel, who was awarded the Golden Boot as best player after the match, scored in the 24th minute, giving Qazox a seemingly insurmountable 2-0 lead.

But a triple substitution by Wentland to start the second half, set up the dramatic finish. Honey Weeks scored in the 60th minute to cut the lead down to 2-1, and all the momentum seemed to be on the side of the Blue Tits. Rosie Dougall scored a goal in the 79th minute that went through 2 defenders and right past Juila Kidd's outstretched hands.

Now tied at 2-2, Wentland was relentless in trying to end it before the end of regulation, but 2 quick subs by Kylie Rena, Saundra Marci Harris, seeing her 1st minutes of the tourney came in for Sonja Clay and Sasha Foster came in for Andrea Childress-Turner, who will retire later today to take the Sativville Coaching job. With fresh legs out on the pitch, Qazox staved off all attempts by Wentland to win the match in the dying moments and then began the Extra time.

The extra 30 minutes began with Qazox's fresher legs, Harris and Foster wreaking havok in the backfield of Wentland, but Anna Foy's brilliance kept the Lady Oxen off the board. Wentland's Honey Weeks at the 105th minute launched a shot that if it were one inch lower, would have given the Blue Tits the lead, but it deflected over the net, and Wentland's last chance for victory was gone.

Less than a minute later, a streaking Denise Vinson found herself almost completey wide open with only Anna Foy in the way, and lifted a curling shot into the near corner to give Qazox the 3-2 lead. Only a minute before it seemed like it was going to be a shocking win, but now it seemed that Wentland had lost all of its chips.

Only a Qazoxian mistake would sent it to penalties, and that mistake happened int he last minute when Decieta slipped and Gemma Hunt slipped past her right to the edge of the box; a tackle and then a whistle. Was it over? Was there a foul?? Wentland claims that the whistle was for a foul in the box, and they deserved a penalty kick, but the referee blow the whistle, not for a foul, but signal the end of the match and Qazox had become champions once again.

Dazza's YAP YAP

Well, what a sad way to end my friend Anna Goldstein's career. Anna muffed the penalty shot which allowed Wentland to make the final, and Wentland proceeded to lose the Qazox again. Yes, then Qazox meet Wentland in finals, it's like Jeruselem meeting Yafor 2 in the finals.

And then we lose the 3rd placed game on penalties again! But we did make the top 4 again for the 5 cup in a row. Not the best of cups but I'm not blaming the captain here. We did lose three games this cup, compared to none last time but two were in the pointy end.

Well, we did lost to hosts twice - so and it turns out we have never won a cup in Rorysville. 3rd and 4th. NEXT TIME - things will be different in Rorysville, Dazza promises.

Anna's been a great player but never gets the applause because she shuns the limelight and I get all the attention for various reasons. Anyway, a lots of players are retiring but not me. I'll be back at the World Cup 32 unless I get myself pregnant again but you have plan these things - get pregnant before the world cup.

Some web site has voted me hottest looking chick of the Women's World Cup 6. I've won that poll for the last two as well. Anna Foy come 2nd! She's a bit like me, crazy but talented. Imagine that the Dazza Dallas and Anna Foy show! Err, it might be banned. Why? My lack of regard to being dressed and Anna's addiction to pie fights - still I think people will watch.

Speaking of naughty - Rashina's nagging me for my dresses. I think she's got a man in mind and wants to impress. What better than a Dazza Dallas special dress to get that man. I asked my sis Debbie who it was and she said it might be one of Ricky's son - yeah a little Ponty Stick. I've been to Ricky's place and boy, it's a nice place with lots of rooms for his kids. His oldest son has all my merchandise and well, I think maybe Rashina might be regular visitor. Oh yes, he's a real charmer too like his Dad. Ricky's wife is some girl too, I can see why Rick can't keep his hands off her.
