The Power of Industry

Austar Union

The Industrial Sector™, the Unione of Capitalizt States of Austar Union

Mr. Gregory Hells, one of the Unione's most powerful entrepreneurs watched over the giant megalopolis that sprawled over the entire country's eastward stretch. Massive plumes of smoke and ash rose higher and higher into the sky, polluting the Industrial Sector's mix of oxygen and nitrogen, and all those various elements that made up a wonderful thing called 'atmosphere'. The sky blackened as if were an overcast day, it had been abandoned by almost all natural form of life - having being declared a 'human disaster' by those nosy environmentalists. The only life that remained, were those depressed soul's who lived and worked here... a good portion of the Austarian population, and immigrants who lost recognition of their old educated skills from their home countries.

Cracking open a bottle of Red Wine, imported especially from the Dominion for this moment, a cheer came from the congratulating faces within his suite. Closing the curtains, the room became a world of its own in a place much more bleak. With red velvet and expensive decorations, this was the place from which Mr. Hells would work from directly - at least until the Plant had grown so productive that they might move or expand. It was one of the first of its kind and a move that would prove to be revolutionary in nature; government officials from the Goodchild administration had recognized an opportunity in Global Markets. And the manufacturing and smelting of Steel Alloys was an industry which was growing fast. Quickly establishing itself with clients abroad, Hells Steel Incorporated had plans to become the largest, and its source of iron ore and carbon being one the most reliable.

Earth Orbit, Sol

"At what speed do you think a one trillion ton freighter would fall at, if it were out of control and falling through the Earth's atmosphere?" joked the Captain.

"Har, real funny," crackled the display of the Orbit Traffic Controller. "But I'm still not bumping you up the list."

Indeed the ship he was in charge of was a one trillion ton freighter, bearing the massive logo of Hells Steel Incorporated on its side. Having come from a fairly longish journey from Mercury, the Captain recalled the first time he had been there - D'na Apollo. Once established as a place of research and weapons analysis, it wasn't long before permits had been issued to several chosen Austarian corporations that wanted to mine at the bountiful resources of iron ore and carbon - not that carbon was very hard to find anyway. Of course, restrictions and limitations had been put in place; they could only take so much that it wouldn't affect the geological structure of Mercury, much. They certainly wouldn't be carting away the entire planet, by any means. The Captain chuckled at this very thought.

He was interrupted by the voice of the controller. "Oh look, good news. It seems that a spot has suddenly made itself available for you to get yourself through. You now have full authorization from the Unione to make landing."

It didn't take long for the ship to respond to its commands, its helm groaning as the giant beast turned and made its descent toward the Atlantic, to a base near to the Azores. Hundreds of years ago the Union had undertaken an operation to restore civil order to those islands, after radicals had turned the place into murderous upheaval. The Union in the meantime had been rewarded with an island with which it had (eventually) turned into a massive space dock facility. Materials and transported goods were then redistributed to all over the Earth.

Advertising in the meantime would be sent to the various Arms Manufacturing, Cars Manufacuring, Corporation Giants that dwarved even that of newcoming Hells Steel. Contracts had already been established with many, but it would depend on the future of those contracts, the future of Hells Steel Incorporated. Save to say, it was bright.

OOC: Open to anyone really. Whether you happen to own a rival steel company or you are an employee of the world's smallest car production plant, it doesnt make a difference. And if you dont feel like posting, I guess it just gives me a chance to RP some of my nation's industrial heart out. :)
