The Holy Republic of Jihadiraq was created on April 25, 1991. We were, at that time under the rule of the Socviet Union, who had set up a puppet to rule us as a proxy for the soviets.
The Revolution chased the Russians out on that day, when in a historic campaing, the Party of the Righteous, a dissedent religious group, struck the Russians and took over the Embassy and the Shariff Palace.
The Revolution was supplied by a religious theocracy that shares the same Faith as we do. Many died chasing the Russians out.
Afterwards, The Party of the Righteous established the leading religious leader, The Grand Poobah as religious and secular ruler of the Holy Republic of Jihadiraq.
From there was created the Martyr Army, which consists of young men and women dedicated to the preservation of the Faith, trained in freedom fighting.
The Grand Poobah is the Fifth Grand Poobah since the Revolution. He occupies the Shariff Palace and is our Great and Glorious Leader.
