IC
Jeruselem's womens team (called the Angels, but they aren't angels at all)

Style = +1 (4-4-2)

It's 4-4-2 but it's really 4-2-2-2

Coach - John Jerk, former DI4 coach.
Reporter - Dazza once again

GK Jihad Jane, 20 - She's nuts. It's Holy war if you score a goal against her. Nothing get past the goal line without a fight.
GK Megan Sunni, 17 - tall girl but quick mover. Doesn't say much unless you call her a lesbian.

DEF - Stacey Fathom, 29 - ball thief expert especially when attacks are slow
DEF - Zizzi Zidane, 24, headbutts people who irritate her. Has headbutted Marcia for being too talkative before.
DEF - Fetha Gosha Asha, 24 - Throws the ball with one hand and sometimes halfway across the field.
DEF - Stuka Bomba, 22 - Little German girl who crashed into defenses when you least expect it. Doesn't like too much attention from opposing defenders though.
DEF - Chris Tuggarnong, 28, Junior Weightlifter turned soccer player. Can throw other players around just for fun.
DEF - Rashina Dallas, 15 - One of Debbie Dallas's daughters. Another Dallas girl to terrorise the women's soccer world. Professional gymnast before following Dazza into the soccer field.

MID - Sadda Hussein, 30 - same kind of person as Saddam Hussein on the soccer field. VICE CAPTAIN
MID - Anna Goldstein, 28 - Not the JGN reporter but her 6th cousin. Small and hard to catch
MID - Farrah Sheba, 24 - Megababe! Does modelling on the side.
MID - Sassani Alba Fa Jihad, 28, plays everygame like it's holy war. Prone to red cards
MID - Dazza Dallas, 22 younger sister of Debbie Dallas. Plays soccer the Italian way! CAPTAIN. IQ of 140, TV reporter, geek and radio star. Attention whore from HELL.
MID - Mousi, 25. Single name player. Quiet as a mouse, the quiet achiever on the team.

STK - Sister Merci, 29 - Another Nun who plays soccer. Not as crazy as her precedessor but a more refined and technical player.
STK - Cue Epie, 19 - A dumb version of Dazza Dallas without the personality. Skillful but sometimes need a whack in the head to get a message.
STK - Jo Guest, 16 - Small short girl who is useless at headers but fantastic at milking free kicks (like Dazza)
STK - Bobina Grosso, 20 - Tall striker who make life really hard for short people.

Dazza: Hey, there's two former winners and a semi-finalist in here! That's if you exclude the host.
John: Yeah, I know.

Dazza: This is going be tough indeed. All the top 3 are potential winners and then the host is pretty good too.
John: Well, the team must be at it's best now.

Dazza: Well, I got lots of shouting to do.
John: I know. I do the coaching, you do all the shouting.
Wentland
07-10-2006, 11:51
The crowd was expectant. The excited hubbub had reached fever pitch just before kick-off. The Blue Tits’ performance in World Cup Four had captured the nation’s heart. A magnificent finals appearance and a heartbreaking penalty shoot-out defeat endeared them to all and sundry…the Wents buying up tickets for the finals in Quakmybush in record numbers to see whether they could go one better.

There had been some forced changes. Pui Lee was injured and therefore unable to make it. Janet St Clair had not recovered from her previous injury, but it would have been churlish to drop any of the WC4 defenders.

And Sara Elgan’s sickness in World Cup Four presaged something a bit more serious – she was pregnant…no chance of an appearance at World Cup Five as she recovered from the birth. But Anna Kumble was back from her maternity leave and Lucinda Rhodes graciously returned the captain’s armband.

The club game had gone from strength to strength, but with the Old Rivalry between Oldhill and Oldfield capturing attention at the top of the table a new team had arrived in the WPL. Petterham had been promoted thanks to their three woman midfield of Saunders, Dougall and Stephens and the trio had been called into the World Cup squad as a result. It was a gamble, but worth it, thought Edwina Bluff; Jemma James was still inconsistent and Rani Khan too much of a card magnet.

“So what’s the line-up, then, darling?”

“Hold on a second…let me fetch my programme…”

The glossy brochure had full-page studio pictures of the 23 that were going to don the royal blue for the World Cup finals. A special silver change kit had been commissioned to match the runner-up finish; the bronze kit was on stand-by just in case they ended up with a double clash. But the faces varied from the smiling goalie Anne Foy carefully caked in mud via the steely stare of Imelda Davies and the ebullient Petterham trio.

http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/7296/wentlandwsu6.png

1 Anne Foy, 28, goalkeeper, Esford Dynamo

2 Rachel Horne, 26, right-back, Newchurch Angels

3 Ellie Crisell, 27, left-back, Newchurch Angels

4 Imelda Davies, 21, midfield, Oldhill Academy

5 Lucinda Rhodes, 31, centre-half, Warpstone

6 Laura Jones, 31, centre-half, Newchurch Angels

7 Tricia Yates, 20, midfield, Oldhill Academy

8 Stacey Cadman, 25, midfield, Warpstone

9 Thalia Pellegrini, 25, centre-forward, Newchurch Angels

10 Gemma Hunt, 26, centre-forward, Esford Dynamo

11 Anna Kumble, 29, midfield, Oldfield Borough

12 Kirsten Cassidy, 18, goalie, Oldhill Academy

13 Conchita Quddus, 24, right-back, Petersfield

14 Zoe Pike, 18, centre-half, Petersfield

15 Heather Jay, 30, centre-half, Great Bellstead

16 Gwennie Saunders, 21, midfield, Petterham

17 Honey Weeks, 32, centre-forward, Oxton

18 Ellie Beavan, 25, left-back, Oxton

19 Becky Stephens, 19, midfield, Petterham

20 Leigh Fraser, 18, midfield, Oldhill Academy

21 Mo Sule, 26, centre-forward, Oldfield Borough

22 Rosie Dougall, 18, midfield, Petterham

23 Katy Torpenhow, 36, goalie, Petersfield

A musical note sounded and the lights in the arena dimmed. The scene before was suddenly wreathed in dry ice as a spotlight picked out the tunnel entrance.

The crowd shuffled to their feet as the Wentland national anthem sounded. Pride filled the hearts of those watching…and those coming out before them…

There were still doubts however about the wisdom of this particular choice. After all, was it REALLY a good idea to have a musical about World Cup V?

Style is +3. RPers can do what they like with the Blue Tits apart from kill them.

Rashina: Auntie!
Dazza: Hey Rashina, all excited eh?
Coach: Hey girls. Ah, the family is here.

Rashina: She's my Auntie.
Dazza: Hehe, true but I'm only 22 and she's 15. It's odd being called auntie.
Coach: God, two of you on the team. This will be interesting.

Dazza: I played when I was 14 in Women's World Cup 2, so this little Dazza is just doing what Dallas girls do.
Rashina: Mum was the best player ever!
Coach: Oh you're Debbie Dallas's daughter. You did look familiar.

Dazza: She's a defender like Debbie too. But you know she moved to midfield later. Anyway, I'm keep this one under control.
Rashina: This is so exciting. Whoa!
Coach: I think Yafor 2 would be just so happy to have two Dallas girls playing (laughs)

Rashina: I was supposed to play in the under 21 team but there is no under 21 team.
Dazza: I've never played in one either, so don't worry. You're in a real world cup team.
Rashina: Cool!
Coach: She's excitable, like you Dazza.

Some official: Hello everyone, err who's Dazza here (looks confused) - there's two Dazzas?
Rashina: She's Dazza
Dazza: Me, me.
Some official: Err, who's the little one then?

Coach: A relative.
Some official: OK, here's the captain's armband. You are going to confuse everyone.
Coach: Well, both short blonde and crazy. Yes, but one is crazier - Dazza.
Dazza: That's my job!

Coach: <coughs>
Rashina: Coach, you alright?
Dazza: He's OK, former smoker. Happens once in a while.
Coach: Yes, don't smoke. It's going to kill you.

Covering our 5th World Cup!!!

The group the Defending champions have been drawn into looks tough, but the Champs are here to defend their title and should qualify for their 4th straight quarterfinal apperance with a 2nd place finish.

Other group teams:

Chicanada- three time third place squad.. a bit older, but probably the toughest team Qazox will have to face. Prediction: 1st in group.

Starblaydia- Getting better each time out, they could surpass Chicanda or the Lady Oxen, but not yet. Prediction 3rd.

Ariddia- Good solid team, but the top of this group is tough to crack so 4th place is best.

Rordia- 2nd time they've been here, will do better, but not good enough. 6th in Group.

Algal states- been a while since they've been in, so who knows how good or bad they'll be. 5th place

Rordettes World Cup Update

Rordia are in Quakmybush ahead of Women's World Cup 5, which will be their third WWC. They have been put into GROUP C alongside Qazox (the reigning champions), Chicanada, Starblaydia, Ariddia, Algal States and Funnia Lan. The Rordettes face an uphill task to qualify - only two of the seven teams in this group qualify.
Head coach Charlotte Mayer said: "This is a nightmare group for us. Realistically, there are four teams fighting for two qualifying spots, and we're not one of them. All we can do is learn from the giants, and also try to whip the minnows.
"Last time, we came 3rd in our group with just one win. We obviously want to improve on that, and when we come across Funnia Lan and the Algal States, only victory will do. We have a squad of top players including Cortney van Kol and Kelly Richardson, so if we get fewer than six points, you'll know who to blame."

Rordia's most difficult opponents are likely to be current holders Qazox, who they faced in the group stage last time round. One Rordette who is especially looking forward to their clash is Joanne Childress-Turner. The centre-back recently got married to Qazox midfielder Andrea Childress, having fallen in love with her in Rorysville.

A huge majority of the squad that took part in WWC4 have been chosen again for WWC5. Five players have been dropped, with five new ones coming in. With a good mixture of youth and experience, Rordia believe that they can make their country proud. The squad were cheered as they got on the plane that took them to Quakmybush. If they come back having finished 5th or higher in the group, they can expect a similar reception.

Rordia will again use a 4-4-2 formation throughout the tournament, with a +2 style.

RORDIA'S SQUAD
Goalkeepers
1. Lucy Bare, 28, Eisenhower
A part-time model, Lucy is the side's undisputed number 1. At club level, her net is rarely breached, thanks to her cat-like reflexes.
13. Pauline Docker, 25, Rordic City Bluebirds
The 6ft 8in shotstopper is likely to be deputy to Bare. However, she has made a string of good performances for her club in recent months.
20. Frankie Nowland, 22, Catt City
Nowland is one of the WWC rookies in the squad. It has been said that boss Mayer is only taking the talented youngster to make up the numbers.
Defenders
2. Claire Bayley, 22, Rordic City Redheads
'Ginger' Bayley has made the left-back spot her own since Justine Montréal was dropped. However, she does have a tendency to lose her cool.
3. Joanne Childress-Turner, 28, Rordic City Bluebirds
Joanne is the team's unpretty lesbian. The tough nut is married to Qazox star Andrea Childress-Turner, whom she will face on Day 3.
4. Tracy Walker, 24, Tigre Rossa
She is good with her head, despite being only 5ft 8in. But heading isn't her only strength - she can also stand in as captain when Kelly Richardson's injured.
6. Becky Lewis, 25, Tigre Rossa
Becky always finds a way to stop opposing strikers from scoring. Off the field, she has several boyfriends - most of whom have played for Rordia's mens team.
15. Alison Moreau, 31, Eisenhower
The experienced centre-back seldom makes a mistimed tackle. She is also a popular singer, and her album "Bert" recently went double platinum.
18. Carly Reed, 20, Rordic City Bluebirds
Carly is bald, as she has had alopecia since she was seven. But what she lacks in hair, she makes up for in her strength and marking ability.
Midfielders
5. Nicki Cooper, 26, Rordic City Bluebirds
Nicki loves herself, and the fans love her as well. Since a big money move to the RC Bluebirds, she has become one of the best players in the league.
7. Imogen Abergynolwyn, 25, Rordic City Redheads
This long-named lass proved at the last WWC that she's more than just a pretty face. The prolific assister is an invaluable member of the Rordettes.
8. Kelly Richardson, 31, Xaviettes
Richardson is Rordia's captain, and by some way the team's best player. She scored four goals in her last three league games this season.
11. Bianca Griffiths, 21, Rordic City Bluebirds
At the tender age of 21, Bianca has become a regular starter. She is excellent at passing, but she can get scared very easily.
12. Gwen Hill, 24, Xaviettes
Gwen is new to the national side, but has been a consistent performer at club level. Her dribbling and trickery have always mesmerised defenders.
16. Katie Phillips, 24, Tigre Rossa
Katie's crosses make her one of the best wingers in the country. But she is very versatile, and can also play in central midfield.
Forwards
9. Maria Baker, 22, Rordic City Bluebirds
This season alone, Baker hit the net 24 times for the Bluebirds! However, she has struggled for Rordia in recent matches, and scored only once in WWC4.
10. Cortney van Kol, 23, Comté Sauvage
Cortney was our top scorer at the last WWC - with three goals. The only foreign-born player in the squad has continued that fine form in recent friendlies.
14. Bernie Hughes, 26, Catt City
This pint-sized brunette is one of the fastest players in the team. She moved to Catt City last year, and turned the strugglers into title contenders.
17. Stacey Bourne, 23, Xaviettes
Long-haired Stacy has become a back-page regular this year. Partly because of her scoring form, but also of her fiery temper and prima donna status.
19. Rachel McNiven, 20, Rordic City Redheads
McNiven is the Rordettes' youngest player, having turned 20 last month. She can score from almost anywhere... except from close range.

The opening tableau was of 29 young girls from the chorus, all dressed in their nation's kit, and all moving to one of four areas on the front of the stage when their names were sung out.

"Qazox!"
"Lovisa!"
"Lowland Clans!"
"Milchama!"
"Kilani!"
"WENTLAND!"

To an involuntary cheer from the audience.

The Wentland character moved to the front, into the second group from the left, and shook hands with future opponents.

These are the teams...
These are the teams...
These are the teams
With their own dreams,
With their own hopes,
With their own fears...
Two will succeed
And for the others tears...

The tableau then faded as the chorus made their way to offstage and 11 actresses dressed in Wentland kit came on stage left - and 11 actresses dressed in Spaam kit entered stage right...

Covering our 5th World Cup!!!

With today off, the Lady Oxen took in the Sights of Quakmybush and were impressed with the local's knowledge of the Women's World Cup.. despite thier home team having competed in one previous cup. Qazox begins thier title defense tommorrow against Starblaydia. The Lady Oxen have only played Starblaydia once before a 3-1 win way back in the 2nd Cup, A win that put Qazox into the quarterfinal that year. Should be a close match with Qazox winning 2-1.

The Lady Stoners opened play earlier today facing one of the stronger teams in their group, Milchama. and the match ended in a 1-1 draw. The Lady stoners came out surprisingly focused, trying to improve on the results fo the last cup, and so far they seem to be better. The 1st goal was scored by: Jolyn Wigg in the 30th minute. Milchama's #3 scored the tying goal in the 76th minute. A very decent effort put forth today by Sativaville as they prepare for Marceau State tommorrow.

A tough start today for the Ermines of Green wombat. a 4-1 loss to Haraki, one of the top-teams in the world, shows the Ermines have a very looong way to go until they are able to win the Women's Cup. Haraki's #4 scored twice in the 14th and 28th minutes, while #5 and #2 for Haraki added late goals in the 78th and 83rd minutes respectively. the lone bright spot was #77 who scored the 1st ever Ermine goal in the 60th minute. Up next is Toranat, a team who qualified for the Cup in their 1st try, despite losing their 1st game. A team whom the Ermines are trying to emulate.

Rordettes World Cup Update

Ariddia 1-1 Rordia

Rordia's WWC5 campaign has started with a promising 1-1 draw against Ariddia.
In the 3rd minute, Rordia had a real chance to open the scoring. But Maria Baker sent her show too high and too wide. Baker was then guilty of missing several more sitters in the first half. And at the other end, Ariddia's strikers were equally inept - their shots either ended up in the stand or in Lucy Bare's arms. But despite their poor shooting, Ariddia somehow took the lead in the 27th minute. One of their strikers had a shot at goal, which hit Bare on the head, and then deflected off Becky Lewis' back and into the goal! Rordia were so unlucky to go a goal down.
But it only took ten minutes for them to claw an equaliser. Baker crossed the ball to Bianca Griffiths, who fired home a header. Griffiths celebrated as if Rordia had won the World Cup, but then decided to stop when Joanne Childress-Turner joined in. The Rordettes continued to put pressure on Ariddia, but the half-time score remained 1-1. At half-time, Rordia boss Charlotte Mayer decided to take off Baker, even though she set up the equaliser. Stacey Bourne replaced her, but as she left the dressing room, she allegedly told Mayer: "I should have started in the first place, you b****."
In the second half, Bourne put on an amazing display, but some world-class saves from Cécile Granville stopped her from putting the Rordettes ahead. After 62 minutes, the game saw its first card - a red one. Ariddia's Marjolaine Collins and Rordia's Imogen Abergynolwyn got into a nasty argument which eventually turned into a fight. Collins was red-carded, although Imogen somehow escaped with just a ticking-off. Throughout the second half, the referee continued handed out cards to Ariddian players but not to Rordians. Eventually, with two minutes to go, Rordettes captain Kelly Richardson asked the ref to send her off to pay Ariddia back! She duly obliged. And so, the game ended 1-1 in goals and 10-10 in women.
Mayer said after the game: "This is definitely a decent start. We've faced a bigger team and come out with a draw. Hopefully, we can build on this one and get a few more good results in this tournament. Who knows - we might even finish higher than 5th in our group!
"I learnt two things about Kelly Richardson today: 1) She's professional. 2) She's foolish. She was very kind to ask the referee to send her off and make the game fairer for Ariddia. But she is now suspended from the game with Algal States, and we can't afford to lose her."
There were no surprises in Group C's other matches - Chicanada won 3-1 against Funnia Lan, while Starblaydia thrashed Algal States by a 3-0 scoreline.

RORDIA XI: Bare; Bayley, Walker (Moreau 75), Lewis, Childress-Turner; Griffiths, Abergynolwyn (Phillips 67), Richardson (c), Cooper; Baker (Bourne 45), van Kol. Sent Off: Richardson.

QUAKMYBUSH- The WWC 5 has already started and the montegrandean lady jaguars began losing again. Even when classifying is extremely tough, because only two of the eight teams in the group pass and the group has great teams as Rorysville, New Montreal States and Yafor 2. However, the lady jaguars, despite their two bad presentations in WWC3 are now number 24 of the world and a better start should be accepted. However, the defeat against Rorysville, even when it was tight, shows that again the montegrandean ladies aren´t starting the championship with great style and form.
If the lady jaguars want to do a better stand this time, even when the team doesn´t qualyfy, it is necessary that the style and entusiasm of the team improves, and 6 games are left for the lady jaguars to show a better performance this time.
In the next game, against Misrantis, a team that was already smashed 4-1 by New Montreal States, we expect the lady jaguars of Montegrande finally show the south american style the people is proud of, and the montegrandean ladies win their first match in WWC5.

Dazza Dallas wearing a World Cup XXX cheerleader uniform

"Hi this is Dazza Dallas, Jeruselem Women's World Cup team captain and official reporter. Today in Group D Jeruselem had the bye so I didn't get to go on the field and kick ass. Instead I watched other teams kick ass."

<hangs onto hat>

"Err, now if look at the results - there's a few typos on names, but hopefully that will be fixed next time round. Firstly, the Terminators aka Liverpool England showed Lovisa the door. They took all the points TWO NIL and start with a bang. Lovisa were simply outclassed by the first world champ. Yes, the Terminators take the lead in Group D and probably because Jeruselem had the bye too. Oh yes, a Jeruselem World Cup bus driver gave the Terminators their name too in a competition."

<swats a fly>

"Err, sorry. Milchama took on Sativaville and was expected to win but they didn't. It was a 1 ALL draw and dropped points for the Milchama team - Sativaville were really happy. But both teams got points and it's better than been poked in the eye with longsword. Milchama is a favourite but they needed the win to keep up with teams like Liverpool England. I think the coach would not be happy with Milchama performance today."

<swats another fly>

"The host Quakmybush played the Frenchie team, who's nation hosted the last Women's World Cup - that's Marceau State. The two hosts took each other on and well, no one won. In fact no one scored either, so 1 point each and no goals. Well, I really expected Quakmybush to win with the home support and all, but maybe they are just getting started up. So - the Terminators win and everyone else draws. Great for Jeruselem who had the bye. We are 2nd last on the table but you can't do much during a bye."

<swats another fly>

"Man, where do these flies come from? Oh, dead frog here. Poor fella"

<moves to another spot>

"That's better. Now, the team play their first game next match day. Me and the girls will be ready to get back our crown. We lost one game during Women's World Cup 4 - the semi-final against eventual World Champs Qazox, and lost two games in total during the last 3 world cups. So, this team has a high benchmark to beat. No room for losing at all.

"Yap yap time. People maybe asking why I'm wearing a World Cup XXX cheerleader uniform? Well, if you looked on www.jbay.com - these are hot items. Limited edition and restricted for sale only during the World Cup XXX. These sold for 30 shekels but now? Try 10,000 shekels! I'm wearing an item people are willing to pay 10,000 shekels for. Not all sell for this price - only special ones. The ones signed by me and Rachel Kool. Guess I'm worth money eh? This is Dazza Dallas for JGN at the Women's World Cup 5. Sweet dreams!"

Strange beginnings

The Dames en Rouge played their opening match of the fifth World Cup today against Rordia. The “red and black” ladies were hoping their belatedly good performance in the previous Cup would continue, and carry them further than ever before.

The team’s captain, Hanifah Kyaw ( http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Hanifah_Kyaw), said she was “pleased” to be in Quakmybush, “a very interesting country” despite the cold weather, and that she was “confident” Ariddia would do well.

The outcome of their first match, however, was one few could have predicted.

It did not begin too well for either side, with strikers from both teams sending the ball wide on numerous occasions, or providing easy shots for goalkeepers Lucy Bare and Cécile Granville to save. In the fifteenth minute Najmah Majrashi slipped a beautiful shot in between two Rordian defenders, only to see it hit the top bar.

In the 27th minute, however, it was Majrashi who took her country into the lead, with a bizarre and rather comical shot off goalie Bare’s head. Majrashi quickly made sure her opponent was unhurt, before running to the side of the pitch for a brief celebration with her team mates.

The Rordettes soon equalised in the 37th minute, as Granville stumbled and failed to block a shot by Bianca Griffiths.

In the second half, strikers on both sides seemed to experienced a renewed flow of energy, but skillful playing by the keepers kept the score at one-all. The game will probably be remembered, though, for a sudden argument between Marjolaine Collins and Imogen Abergynolwyn, which finally resulted in Collins being shown a red card. The midfielder walked off the field, scowling, and leaving her team one woman down with almost half an hour still to go. Nor did the matter end there, as Awe Esh was later sound a questionable yellow card after a tackle, Najmah Majrashi was yellow-carded for taking a free kick too quickly, and Kanika Gikenyi was immediately yellow-carded too for protesting, and pointing out that a whistle had been blown by a spectator.

Team coach Juanita Jimenez later commented that the referee’s decisions had been “disgraceful”, and insisted that “Ariddian players are well-known for their sense of play.”

But the surprises of the match were not over. With two minutes left to play, Rordette captain Kelly Richardson walked up to the referee. . . and asked to be sent off! It soon appeared she was protesting against the red card given to Collins, and the supporters of both teams cheered. After the match, Ariddian players went to fetch Richardson from the bench and hoisted her up onto their shoulders, parading her round to field to the sound of applause. It was a unexpected end to a bizarre game.

Asked what had sparked her argument with Abergynolwyn, Marjolaine Collins said only this:

“I don’t want to discuss it. In retrospect, it was silly of me, and I apologise to Imogen for what I said to her. I also apologise to everyone in Ariddia for being sent off like that and giving my team a handicap. But,” she added defiantly, “I did *not* deserve a red card!” She concluded by thanking Kelley Richardson for her “really great sense of fair play. She’s a true example of what this sport should be about. I’m grateful, but in the end I don’t think she should have done it. She’s a very good player, and her team is going to need her.”

Collins will miss out on the next game.

Dames en Rouge secure win

After a draw in their first match, within a group which includes Starblaydia and Qazox, the Ariddian ladies urgently needed to gather a few precious points. The team from Funnia Lan were a mystery, with most of the Dames en Rouge confessing they knew nothing about their opponents’ country.

Heather Chuwong replaced red-carded Marjolaine Collins among the starting eleven, and performed the ulek ( http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Ulek) with her team-mates, in an impressive display of confidence and determination. This was despite several of the players having complained of stomach pains earlier in the day, apparently due to not being used to Quakmybush cuisine.

The ladies appeared in good form, however, and Hanifah Kyaw scored the opening goal in the ninth minute, on a corner kick. Funnia Lan’s defence took a while to adapt to the Ariddians’ strategy of constant attack, and, after repeated waves bringing the ball perilously close to the Funnialanite goal cage, Lai Es was able to increase her side’s lead in the twenty-first minute.

Driven by an apparent wish to score as many goals as possible, the Ariddians moved ever forward, their midfielders constantly in their opponents’ territory, and Funnia Lan eventually made the most of a somewhat weakened defence. It was 2-1 by half time, but there was little doubt as to who was dominating the match.

Spirits were slightly dampened in the second half when midfielder Uha Teh sprained her ankle and limped off the field, but it soon appeared her injury was not excessively serious. And Lai Es cemented her team’s lead by scoring her second goal of the match in the fifty-ninth minute. After that, the ‘Red Ladies’ cautiously began to defend more, and held on to a reasonably comfortable lead, taking a three point victory for their three goals.

“We’re off to a good start,” team captain Hanifah Kyaw said. “It’s rather exciting, really. Now we have to find out what we can achieve against teams ranked higher than we are.”

Covering our 5th World Cup!!!

A very dissapointing day for the Lady Oxen as they lose a heart-breaker to Starblaydia 1-0 on a goal in the 87th minute. Juila Kidd played brilliantly, but a accidental mis-play by Stephanie McDonald knocked the ball into the net for an own goal. The team dominated the 1st half and most of the game, but couldn't find the magic touch they showed in Rorysville/Marceau State. a tough loss, but with 5 matches left, there is still time to recover. Up next is Rordia which will feature Wife vs. Wife as Andrea Childress-Turner of Qazox will face off vs. her better half (hopefully not on the pitch) Joanne Childress-Turner of Rordia. Which wife is better?? Hopefully ours as Qazox wins 3-1.

The Ermines of Green wombat earned their 1st ever points coming back from a goal down with 15 minutes left to earn a 1-1 draw with Toranat. Toranat's Kalysta Chrysanta opened the scoring in the 30th minute, but the Ermines held firm and in the 75 minute, #77 once again scored, to tie the match. A late push by the Lady Rockies made it interesting the last 5 minutes, but #33 held firm and finsihed with 13 saves.

A good day for the Ermines but tommorrow's game vs. Risa-Aramour, should be better as a win is possible.

Mmmmm- open-face club sand-wedge

The Lady Stoners earned their 1st win of the 5th Cup today coming back twice from a one-goal deficit. Marceau State's Carrolyn Versaille opened the scoring in the 18th minute. But the lead didn't last too long as Su Mathe tied it in the 25th.

Carrolyn Versaille scored again this time in the 56th to give Marceau State a 2-1 lead, but once again, Su Mathe tied it up in the 64th. The winning goal came in the 72nd minute as Apolonia Santone scored from 25 yards out on a ball the Marceau keeper should have caught.

Up next for the Lady Stoners is Lovisa, a new-comer to the cup. Sativavill'e experience should carry the day in an easy win.

Rordettes World Cup Update

Algal States 0-2 Rordia

Rordia have won their first game of WWC5, as they got a comfortable 2-0 win against minnows Algal States.
The Rordettes needed only six minutes to go 1-0 up. Maria Baker, who did so poorly in the last game, fired a 25-yard volley past the keeper and into the net. But five minutes later, Baker suffered a serious injury. She crashed into the Algal States keeper, and ended up on the floor clutching her knee. She had to be stretchered off, with Stacey Bourne replacing her. Meanwhile, at the other end of the pitch, the Algal strikers had a hard time. They were constantly denied by Rordia's defence and rarely had a serious shot at goal.
In the 32nd minute, Cortney van Kol fired a cross to Stacey Bourne, who then dived under pressure from one of the defenders. Rordia were awarded a penalty, but van Kol and Bourne argued over who was to take it. This resulted in both players getting yellow cards. Van Kol got her way, and easily slotted home the spot-kick to make it 2-0 Rordettes. In injury time, Bourne so nearly got a goal of her own, but her shot just scraped the post. At half-time, all of the Rordians were beaming with delight... except Stacey.
Algal States could have pegged one back in the 57th minute. They won a penalty after Joanne Childress-Turner handballed, but the spot-kick sailed into Row Z. Meanwhile, Rordia's strikers were beginning to lose composure, as most of their shots went off target. Their only shot on target in the second half was after 72 minutes, as Stacey Bourne headed Nicki Cooper's cross into the net. But the goal was ruled out for offside, and Bourne was understandably angry. However, that miss did not hamper a good day's work for the Rordettes.
Rordia boss Charlotte Mayer said: "I'm definitely pleased with how my players did. They showed real passion and made light work of Algal States. Becky Lewis put in a sterling display as captain, and she'll definitely give Kelly Richardson a run for her money. But this is where the hard work starts, as we face Qazox and then Starblaydia."
Rordia's next match against Qazox is particularly significant for Joanne Childress-Turner. Her wife is Andrea Childress-Turner, who is a midfielder for the Lady Oxen. Joanne said: "I love Andrea, and she loves me, but that won't stop us fighting for our country. I will be very determined to get Rordia a win, and Andrea will do likewise with Qazox. But may the best wife win."
Also in Group C, holders Qazox suffered a setback as they lost 1-0 to Starblaydia. Ariddia registered an easy 3-1 victory against Funnia Lan.

RORDIA XI: Bare; Bayley, Walker, Lewis (c), Childress-Turner (Moreau 69); Griffiths, Abergynolwyn, Phillips (Hill 55), Cooper; Baker (Bourne 11), van Kol. Booked: Walker, van Kol, Bourne, Griffiths.

"Hi this is Dazza Dallas from JGN at the Women's World Cup 5. As you can see, everyone's gone home and the cleaners are hard at work. I'm the reporter and captain of the Jeruselem team as you should know already. Today Jeruselem played their first game - and against a top team Milchama! They aren't any old team - they are good, but Jeruselem are better. Now why I do say that? Because we beat them FOUR TWO. No laughing at my team - Jeruselem are twice world champs and we're not here to be girls, but women. An excellent day all round with lots of goals for the purists and excitement. I'm not going to go into who scored but please watch the JGN highlights - talking about goals is useless if you can't see it. OK, I score two goals but one was kinda fluky. It involved two opposition defenders and goal post ... you gotta watch it to believe it. I smacked the ball, it hit one defender in the back and then it deflected into the legs off another - bounced up and under the goal bar. The keeper was shocked, someone so small could kick all ball so hard."

<flicks hair>

"In other games, the host Quakmybush scored a win over Lovisa. The hosts showed some passion and skill today as they took all the points home to leave Lovisa winless. This is what Quakmybush folks want to see, not scoreless draws. Of course, when the run into us - we'll see a real game. Sativaville scored an exciting THREE TWO win over the last hosts, Marceau State. This means Quakmybush and Sativaville lead Group D with four points each! We are 3rd with one win and the Terminators had the bye so they'll be back! Err, that wasn't a joke."

"Now, shock of the day? YAFOR 2 lost to NMS 0-1. 2nd seed lost. NMS are good team but really, Yafor 2 should have at least draw. Non-shock of the day - Wentland draw with Spaam, well the entire group drew as well"

"Yeah, now you want hear goss? You got it. Firstly, our coach was thinking of doing something Karelan but he worked out we didn't have enough defenders. As you can see, Jeruselem's system works - quarter-final, 3rd and two world cups so far. No need to change! Next thing - I'm not married yet so all that crap schools talk about is crap. I'm just waiting for the question! Err, no I'm not pregnant either. Too busy - maybe after a World Cup eh."

"Now, it's true I do own three sports cars. Two Ferraris and a Mazda MX-5. That's it from Dazza at Women's World Cup 5. Jeruselem start with bang and smack someone FOUR TWO. Sweet dreams everyone and my love to my boyfriend back home!"

The Wentland-dressed actresses cheered. Then the Spaam-dressed ones.

Then repeat.

The commentary droned..."and a draw is not what the Blue Tits were looking for...changes have to be made..."

The lights faded to black as the music died away.

The cheers died down, and the spotlight picked out a couple of supporters at the back of the stage discussing the line-up for the next match.

-She’s dropped Cadman!!
-And Kumble too…
-Yates is missing with a touch of flu…
-But there’s three new girls…
-Who are they, Lou?
-They’re gonna introduce themselves to you!

[heavy drumbeat starts with shouts from backstage]

-I’m Gwennie!
-I’m Becki!
-I’m Rosie!

[together] One two three, let’s go!!!

[three girls in the navy blue shirts of Petterham, with polkadot trim, move to the front of the stage and start with synchronized dance moves]

Pick us
Pick us for your team
We’re gonna shine like a light beam
We’re gonna provide a winning sheen
We’re the best girls you’ve ever seen
And why?

Cos we are the midfield
And we shall never yield
If you watch us with eyes peeled
You know that our success is sealed!

Watch us
Watch us destroy the rest
You know that we’re really the best
Just you put us to the big test
And we’ll play with enormous zest
And win

Cos we are the midfield
And we shall never yield
If you watch us with eyes peeled
You know that our success is sealed!

Covering our 5th World Cup!!!

The Lady Oxen, the defending champs, could only manage a draw with Rordia, in what became known as the Childress-Turner Derby. Both Childress-Turners scored, Joanne of Rordia in the 39th on a penalty kick during a corner attempt, and Andrea of Qazox in the 56th also on a penalty kick after being taken down in the box. The weird thing.. both were fouled by they're significant others. It is believed that this is the 1st time that a married couple not only played versus each other, but both scored in the same game.

The draw keeps Qazox towards the bottom of the Group with a match against Funnia Lan next. Anything but a victory will be disasterous for the Lady Oxen.

Mmmmm- Beer

The Lady Stoners won their biggest match so far 4-1 over newcomer Lovisa yesterday. Sativaville was in control though out, and after three matches, actually lead Group D, even though Liverpool England and Jeruselem have only played 2 games so far. But still, with an upset over either team, the Lady Stoners could advance past the group stages for the 1st time. Goals today were scored by: Su Mathe, who completed the 1st hat-trick in Sativville history, in the 23rd, 42nd, and 77th minutes giving her 4 so far. The other goal was scored by: Apolonia Santone in the 14th minute, her second straight game with a goal. Lovisa's only goal came in the 65th minute.

The Ermines looked like skunks out on the pitch today as they lost 4-0 to Risa-Aramour, a team that hasn't even posted a roster (ooc: What's up with that???). #33 looked a bit lost out there as the defense acted like a sieve allowing Risa-Aramour to control the ball for over 80% of the game. A tough loss, but a needed wake-up call for the Ermines. Up next is Wentland, a two-time semifinalist and last Cup's Runners-up. If the Ermines even score, a moral victory wil be achived. Prediction: 5-0 Wentland (at half).

The three new midfielders then completed a complicated dance routine to a backdrop of cheering crowds simulating the three goals that they scored against the Mushroom Kingship. Rosie crossed one for Gwennie to head home; Gwennie played a through ball for Becki to steer in; Becki backheeled one to Rosie for a sweet, sweet strike.

We told you we would win
We're the best there's ever been
It would be a massive sin
If we did not face the team of Ermine!!

The song ended to whoops of delight from the audience, who had been copying the dance moves during the song. It was up and running now.

Rordettes World Cup Update

Qazox 1-1 Rordia

The Childress-Turner Derby between Qazox and Rordia ended in a 1-1 draw. But at the end of the day, Joanne's Rordians were the happier side.
The match had a dull start, but things started go get more exciting in the 23rd minute. A shot from Qazox's Stefany Heisel was blocked by Tracy Walker, who sent the ball up 60 yards to Bernie Hughes. Bernie's shot was stopped by Julia Kidd, but the ball went to Cortney van Kol, who blazed over. From that point on, Rordia started to take control. In the 39th minute, they won a penalty after Joanne Childress-Turner was fouled by her Qazoxian wife Andrea. Van Kol wanted to take the penalty, but Joanne eventually got her chance from 12 yards. She easily slotted the ball past Kidd, and Rordia were 1-0 up against the reigning champions!
Despite being 1-0 ahead, Rordia started to lose concentration in the second half. Qazox dominated the half, and gave the Rordettes a real run for their money. And in the 56th minute, Qazox got the chance to equalise from the penalty spot. This time, Andrea Childress-Turner was scythed down by her other half Joanne! Andrea scored from that penalty to take away Rordia's lead. Losing the lead really dented the Rordettes' confidence, and they began to really struggle - only Lucy Bare's saves prevented them from going behind.
In the last 20 minutes, the game started to get ugly as both teams fought for the lead. Rordia got four yellow cards in that period, and Bianca Griffiths' booking means she will miss the next game. And in the 89th minute, Qazox had a great chance to win the game after Alison Moreau fouled Denise Vinson just outside the area. Julia Childress took the free-kick, only for Lucy Bare to make an amazing save to deny her. When the final whistle blew, Joanne came up to Andrea and gave her a long hug. Both Childress-Turners had ended the game with a goal, and as they walked off the pitch hand in hand, they received a standing reception from the crowd.
Rordia's head coach Charlotte Mayer refused to speak after the game, as she wanted Joanne to speak on her behalf. Joanne said: "This is a great result for us as a team - we've faced the holders and come away with a point. It obviously doesn't get much better than this. I have to say that Andrea did very well out there today - she's not just a pretty face. I hope that she and her Qazox team-mates do well in this competition."
Group C also saw a 1-1 draw between Chicanada and Ariddia. Algal States won the battle of the minnows 3-1 against Funnia Lan.

RORDIA XI: Bare; Bayley (Reed 73), Walker (Moreau 60), Lewis, Childress-Turner; Griffiths, Hill, Richardson (c), Phillips; Hughes (McNiven 73), van Kol. Booked: Hill, Phillips, Bayley, Childress-Turner, Griffiths, Moreau.

BARE IN INJURY BLOW!
Rordia have been dealt a cruel blow after first-choice goalkeeper Lucy Bare broke her wrist in training.
Bare had saved one of Cortney van Kol's trademark thunderbolts when she suffered the injury. She will now definitely miss the games against Starblaydia, and is also touch-and-go for the games against Funnia Lan and Chicanada. Pauline Docker is likely to start in her place.
Van Kol said: "I apologise to Lucy for accidentally breaking her wrist. I've now realised that it's not a good idea to fire a thunderbolt at a team-mate in training. From now on, I'm only trying it on opposition keepers." Bare said: "At least it wasn't from close range."

<Cute woman holding a laptop talking to a teenager>

Dazza
"Hi this is Dazza Dallas from JGN at the womens' World Cup V. I'm with a special guest. This is Roe McMann from Jeruselem - he looks like any teenager chatting me up, but he's not. He's the author a new computer game! Roe you explain the new game."

Roe
"Well, Dazza. It's really a person simulator. What you do is put in statistics of the player in question. From that, the computer system can work out what this player is capable of on the soccer field. The personal stats are used work out the biomechanics of the person. The more info you give the system, the more accurate the results are. It can predict how well a player can kick, throw, run and their endurance. From this, you get a bunch of stats which a coach can use to work out how to use a player."

Dazza
"Sounds good. Now, I've got this program installed on my laptop here. I've already put in all my information. OK Roe, I click this?"

Roe
"Yes, give it some time."

Dazza
"Now, a coach gets this info - what does tell him?"

Roe
"You can spot underperforming or overperforming players right away. With that you can concentrate on the players you want to work on and not waste time on the ones who don't need the attention. It's good for players who don't know what they are capable off too."

Dazza
"Here ya go. It says here Dazza Dallas is small compact player with lots of speed and energy. However it says, she's burnt out by 90 minutes and prone to injuries. Best used in shorter stint as an impact player, and best played later in the game. Main attributes are pace and ability to move quickly around opponents but not the type of person you'd want in defense. Put in midfield. It also says I'm a charming person with emotional swings. It also says I'm a nymphomaniac. Well, the summary is quite correct! This is good."

Roe
"Yes, I put myself in there and it said I'm totally useless at soccer. I am useless at soccer. The personality bit is calculated from your starsign information and you did put down how many times you had sex per year."

Dazza
"True, this is great. I want to buy a copy! What's it called?"

Roe
"Oh, that. I market it under "Football Profiler". Dazza, you can have one for free. In fact, I'm giving it away to Jeruselem FA as my contribution towards the World Cup."

Dazza
"Thanks! This is handy. I'm going to work out my family. Oh, now for the results from the latest game! Jeruselem, my team beat the Frenchies THREE NIL and stay undefeated. It was an easy win and once again they can't beat us still. The Terminators terminated the hosts QuakMyBush THREE NIL as well, so the two ex-champs are on the winning run. Sativaville smashed Lovisa FOUR ONE, and so no shocks really. The top seeds won again. Milchama had a bye today. The other results are boring too as the winners were the best teams around."

Roe
"The next version will allow images to be imported and some 3D graphics. It means you can import those bikini shots, Dazza."

Dazza
"Great idea. Can't wait. So how much for this commercially?"

Roe
"It's user based. The term user really meaning per PC - for 1 to 5 licenses, 200 shekels each. For 5 to 50, 175 shekels each and 150 shekels per user for over 50 users. Renewal is 50% of the purchase price - and you get updates. If you don't renew, it will work but you don't get any updates. Cheap really. It does not run on 32-bit processors or operating systems at all. Only 64-bit because it is CPU intensive and I want to run on the fastest CPUs. Oh, no copy protection apart from the activation of the serial number. That's why it's cheap, I want people to buy it. It was really fast on your laptop, Dazza."

Dazza
"This is a quad-core Core 2. Maxed ram and overclocked, running LatinOS 64 Extreme Edition. So what are the minimum system specs?"

Roe
"Nice, wish I had one of those! Well, you need a 2Ghz 64-bit processor, 1 gig of RAM, 5 gig of hard drive space and a DVD drive. The system specs are on the web site. Only Windows 64-bit versions and LatinOS 64 is supported. Sorry, no Mac version yet - I will get to it one day or someone help me out."

Dazza
"Go to JTech, my friend. Custom laptops for the techies. Tell them Dazza wants them to give you a discount too."

Roe
"Thanks Dazza, will do"

Dazza
"This Dazza Dallas signing off for JGN. All you coaches out there, get this software. Football Profiler is cheap and you'll need it! "

Wentland
12-10-2006, 21:44
As the song finished, the other Wentland "squad" members surrounded the three Petterham girls and raised them high, cheering and laughing all the way.

As they were doing so a figure from the edge of the crowd dropped her arms and stepped away, walking slowly to the front of the stage, glancing back on occasion. The actress had the Mohican haircut for which Imelda Davies had been famous - and the music changed to a single high violin note.

That used to be me...
That used to be me.

A piano cut in slowly playing plaintive chords.

I'm twenty-one...
And my career's all gone...
My entire future's blown
And I've no past to call my own...

"Imelda" started to get louder as the music swelled.

Oh why did I make those mistakes?
A mistimed pass against the Pancakes
That led to their goal...
And tore out my soul...
Replaced by those polka-dot flash in the pans
The three minxing maidens who ruined my plans
But I'll show 'em that Imelda can play
And get back to the first team again some day
Oh yes! I'm not finished just yet...

The music got quieter again...

But maybe my fate is all set...

"Imelda" looked back at the celebrating players.

That used to be me...
That used to be me...

Not twenty-two...
And what can I do...
I'm not now in the team
And all I want to do is scream...

Oh why did it happen to me right now?
I should really still be taking my bow
And not on the bench...
Which gives me such a wrench...
I want to get back and start playing my game
The midfield destroyer, yes, that's my aim
But we need steel for the next game play
So maybe my sit-out will soon go away
Oh yes! I'm not finished just yet...

Milchama not in Women's World Cup, Milchima doing well though

Despite a sign up and other things the Milchama Attackers have not actually been playing in the most recent edition of the Women's World Cup. The girls have sat comfortably at home as a team called Milchima has taken their place. This new team though has not done that well as they only have 4 points after 3 games. The coach Quin Temple said, "I was getting ready for the cup and then suddenly I saw Milchima and I told the girls, 'well it looks like we're not going to play.' It kinda sucks for them because they were psyched for the cup and I felt that we could go far if our newspaper decided to care."

The Milchima team is led by Haley Chanso and Galit Newsbaum. They are known for their 1-8-1 System Hisisim formation and their love of the midfield. Milchima are expected to start losing more as their unranked will make them easy targets for the more experienced teams. The Coach though was not so convinced "We have done well to this point, I am sure we can continue this success." I wouldn't have guessed it but we'll let the coach talk. As for their nick name of the Squared Sevens it says that 49 was their year of independence and the 49ers was cliche for some reason so the Squared Sevens sounded better.

I agree.

The Same roster as last last time

Well we no longer have the suspense of what the roster is for the Milchama Attacker (nor with the nickname as we're the Attackers). Also the coach for the Attackers was revealed to the general international public, the coach was Milchama footballing legend Quin Temple who retired before the Warriors got to play internationally but was the all time leader in MFL goals before Marc J. Floren. The 45 year old Temple does not have much manager experience but has helped both Great Alexandria and the Norman Spartans on numerous occasions. The roster was unveiled to a small crowd as the rest didn't really care. As they are fairly anynomous there will not be biographies for many of the players. As they are called the Attackers they will play in the suicidal 0-0-10 formation which of course will be +5.

Gk: Sofia Carlisle- A great goalie who has played excellently despite her nearly impossible task without any defenders whatsoever to stop goals.
F: Lisa Salas
F: Jennifer Shamrito
F: Casey Farem- Key to the attack as she is really fast.
F: Elana Kilinin- The star and most famous player on the squad. She will be the key to success or failure in all their endeavors.
F: Terry Makil
F: Maurine Collins
F: Galit Woosar- Another tall striker who will be counted on to score goals.
F: Caroline Steardt- The top goal scorer in Milchama women's history. Her goals will be key for them.
F:Erin Johnson
F:Erica Lamern
Subs:
Gk: Marge Mattie
D: Kate Bartlett
D: Analese Shapiro
D: Molly Rooter
D: Megan Jenson

This is of course assuming that the Attackers get to play this cup although that is looking like a big if because the Milchima Squared Sevens look set in our supposed spot. There is always next cup for the girls who look ready to dominate after this craziness.

Covering our 5th World Cup!!!

The Following Score is not, repeat NOT a misprint.

QAZOX 10- Funnia Lan 1

A record-setting day for the Lady Oxen as they annihilate Funnia Lan 10-1. That's right TEN goal scored, which set numerous new Women's international records, for most goals scored in a match (10), most goals in a half (8- 1st half), Largest Victory margin (9) and Stefany Heisel herself set a record with 6 goals, all in the 1st half.

Funnia Lan was completely over-matched and by the 35th minute Qazox had a 7-0 lead. Head Coach, Kylie Rena was unsuccessful in her petition to have the match ended at the half, and used all three subs before the 1st half was complete..

The first of the many goals was scored by Sonja Clay, in the 1st minute, setting another record for fastest goal to start a match (13 seconds). It got even uglier when in the 4th minute, when Stefany Heisel started her scoring run. Stefany would add goals in the 11th, 17th, 24th, 30th and 35th minutes, givign her 6 in about 30 minutes. Funnia Lan then took down Stefany in the 37th minute, giving Sonja Clay a chance to score on the penalty kick to make it 8-0. HC Rena then subbed in: Gretchen Talley and Saundra Marci Harris for Clay and Heisel. The other sub was Alice Springs for Gk Julia Kidd, who by that point probably had fallen asleep in the net.

In the second half, Qazox held back thier offence, but in the 61st minute, Risa Klyn scored to make it 9-0. Funnia Lan did manage to score in the 73rd minute, but Jeanie Mosley capped the match in the 77th to provide the TENTH goal. All in all a mismatch like that should not happen in the Group stages, and bring up the question of Qualifying rounds. The Lady Oxen still have work to do as their next opponent is Chicanada, and i don't think Qazox will score 10 goals against them now do you? A win is needed to give Qazox a chance to qualify.

SATIVAVILLE STONER
Mmmmm- Land of Chocolate

The Lady Stoners continue to impress at the 5th Women's World cup earning a 1-1 draw with the 1st ever champions, Liverpool England. With only 2 matches left, and tommorrow LE and Jeruselem play each other, Sativaville with a win over the hosts, Quakmybush, will be all but qualified for the Cup. LE scored 1st in the 43rd minute, but emerging star, Su Mathe, scored her 5th goal of this Cup in the 84th minute, to shock LE into a draw.

Once again Up next is the Hosts Quakmybush, a win will give Sativaville 3 so far this Cup, matching thier combined totals from their 1st two apperances. It should be a close one.
Green wombat
13-10-2006, 06:09
Well, we didn't lose as badly as predicted, and the Ermines actually lead for the 1st time, but still came up short against powerhouse, Wentland 3-1.

The Ermines came out swinging so to speak and in the 13th minute, FOR #79
gave Green wombat a 1-0 lead. The Blue Tits then seemd to wake up and proceeded to score 3 times in the next 18 minutes, giving them a 3-1 lead that wouldn't be touched. Anna Kumble scored the 1st two at the 19th and 24th minutes, and Gemma Hunt added the last one at the 31st.

Up next for the Ermines is Spaam, a team that does stumble agaisnt weaker competition. We can be that stumble, but Spaam ekes out a win 3-2.
Rordia

Rordettes World Cup Update

Rordia 2-5 Starblaydia

Rordia's unbeaten record was ended with a 5-2 thrashing by Group C leaders Starblaydia.
The Rordettes were outplayed from kick-off to full-time. And it took Starblaydia just two minutes to open the scoring, as one of their strikers sent a 30-yard thunderbolt into the net. In the 17th minute, that same striker got on the scoresheet again - this time, after heading in a corner. Rordia's defence looked really vulnerable, and the Starblaydi strikers were cruising. Rordia's day got worse in the 25th minute, as goalkeeper Pauline Docker suffered a broken leg after an accidental challenge from the Starblaydi captain. On came Frankie Nowland for her first WWC appearance, but just three minutes later, she fumbled a Starblaydia shot into her net. 3-0 to the group leaders.
At half-time, Rordia head coach Charlotte Mayer was fuming. She used both of her remaining substitutions at half-time, and the Rordettes started the second half much better. In the 50th minute, Tracy Walker sent a long ball to Maria Baker, who rounded the Starblaydi keeper and fired into the net. But five minutes later, Starblaydia had regained their three-goal lead. The same striker that had scored twice in the first half had managed to get another one in the second. She'll be going back to her hotel with the match ball...
The scoreline became 5-1 to Starblaydia after 68 minutes, when one of their defenders beat Nowland from 45 yards out. This humiliation became too much for Rordia winger Nicki Cooper. Three minutes later, she was sent off for swearing and using abusive language. But although they were down to ten women, the Rordettes managed to come out of the game with a second goal. Cortney van Kol fired a shot at the keeper, who managed to block it with her first. But van Kol was then on hand to slot in the rebound and make the final score 5-2.
Mayer fumed after the match: "That was simply pathetic. Our fans deserve more than this. Our entire defence had gone AWOL, and we've lost another keeper to injury. That has to be one of the worst Rordian displays I have witnessed since I became head coach."
It was a great day for Qazox, who annihilated Funnia Lan 10-1. Chicanada are also in good shape after beating Algal States 4-2. Rordia don't have a match tomorrow, so if results go their way, they could still have a chance of qualifying for the knockouts!

RORDIA XI: Docker (Nowland 25); Bayley (Reed 45), Walker, Lewis, Moreau (Childress-Turner 45); Phillips, Abergynolwyn, Richardson (c), Cooper; Baker, van Kol. Booked: Abergynolwyn, Bayley. Sent Off: Cooper.

KELLY TO QUIT AS CAPTAIN!
Kelly Richardson has announced she will step down as Rordia captain at the end of Women's World Cup 5.
Richardson, 31, has been the team captain since the aftermath of the WWC2 debacle. But she feels that she is no longer the inspirational skipper that the Rordettes need.
She said: "I have been captain for a very long time, but now I feel it's time for someone else to take the armband. This is a really tough decision, but I feel it's in the best interests of the Rordian team."
Becky Lewis is favourite to become the new captain, after she skippered the side in their 2-0 win over Algal States. But bookmakers also have short odds on Lucy Bare or Imogen Abergynolwyn getting the nod.

In the Jeruselem's World Cup team dressing after the game

John Jerk, Jeruselem coach walks in

Dazza: Hey, boss.
Anna: Hi Coach
John: Hey, girls. I was just using that new software Football Profiler. It's pretty good. I think I'm making some changes to the team from the information.

Anna: Big ones? We won FIVE ONE today. We're doing pretty good.
John: Not big changes, just making the defense work better - I think the attack is fine as it is.
Dazza: Good then. So, I'm starting later or what?

John: Depends - Against weak opponents, you will start. Maybe I'll start you later in the bigger games so you last longer.
Dazza: So I can snooze longer then?
Anna: Dazza likes her sleep.

John: Err, no sleeping in Dazza.
Dazza: You gotta try.
Anna: We all know Dazza's natural environment is a bed. (laughs)

John: Well, I'll tell you the changes later.
Anna: We rotating the keepers again?
John: Only during the qualifiers - one keeper for the finals unless there's an injury.

<Gay looking guy Elton walks in>

Elton: Hi girls. Anyone want a wax or anything today?
Anna: Not me, I'm fine.
Dazza: Got any of that red hair dye?

Elton: Yes, no blonde left though.
John: well, I don't have say much today. I have to some work, see you all girls.
Team: See ya coach!

Elton: Well, let's go Dazza. You're going be redhead.
Dazza: See you tonight Anna for the game plan for the next game. Got to have my new look today.
Anna: See you Dazza and Elton

<Dazza and Elton leave>

Elton: Dazza, you're going to so fabulous.
Dazza: Hey, why are you male beauty therapists gay?
Elton: We're just like you girls you know. Your boyfriend is cute.

Dazza: I'm glad someone else agrees too! He's scared of gays though.
Elton: well, I'm just act less gay then

Dazza: Don't think that will work. He can spot a gay person miles away. And no you can't borrow my dresses Elton.
Elton: Maybe just once?
Dazza: No, you're too fat anyway.

No decisive lead

The Dames en Rouge were, once again, hoping for a win – this time against Chicanada – in the hopes of edging ahead in Group C. The Ariddian ladies looked fit and eager while performing the ulek, and there have been fewer reports of upset stomachs, as the team adapt to the local cuisine.

Having conceded only two goal in two games – a record for Ariddian women – goalkeeper Cécile Granville looked particularly confident. The ladies appeared to have found their ideal and most effective style.

Unsurprisingly, it was midfielder Hanifah Kyaw who scored the opening goal of the match, in the sixty-second minute. . . bringing about a sigh of relief from Ariddian spectators. The Dames en Rouge, while displaying solid skills, had until then been unable to crack the Chicanadan defence.

Ariddia’s lead lasted only until the seventy-seventh minute, however, when the excellent Cécile Granville was finally defeated, and Chicanada successfully pulled off a draw. Ariddian coach Juanita Jimenez was not entirely displeased with the result.

“We haven’t lost a match yet, we’ve conceded on average only one goal per game, we’ve scored more goals than anyone else in this group, and we’re in second position. Those are good statistics. Of course, it’s all still far too close for comfort, and we need to do much better, but the girls just need to keep up their good efforts.”

After a tense opening match, the Ariddians managed a second consecutive game without being handed any cards of any kind, but Jimenez denied they were being excessively cautious.

“Watch them play. I don’t think ‘excessively cautious’ applies here.”

MD 4-Thats right the Lady Moose continue on thier unbeatten ways with a win over Kilani 2-1. The game was far more out of reach than the score dictated Carrie Banner again scored extending her streak to 4 straight in this cup and 7 straight in International Play tieing a Rorysville Record held by Mike Jasper on the Men's Side and beatting her previous mark by a game. Her goal was a breakaway goal that was bent past an extending keeper at the 10th minute then Rorysville would strike again at the 34th minute with a goal by Kattie Summers Rorysville would turn it's focus to defense and not surrender a goal until the 68th minute when an errant pass got picked up and riffled past an outstreched Svenernsky. The game would end at 2-1 and Rorysville would remain 2nd on a goal Differental in Pool A as New Montreal States Tied Montegrande 1 all and the Lowland Clans got on Misrantis 4 nill. RV 2-1

After prolonged applause for the solo, the "team" went off stage and the spotlight focussed on some fans who were on the side of the stage.

Music played as a commentary revealed that the Blue Tits were losing to the Ermines. The fans took up a chant.

"Kooom-BLAAAAAY!
Kooom-BLAAAY!
Kooom-BLAY!
Kooom-BLAY!

Louder and louder until the commentary shouted "it's THERE!!!! And it's Anna Kumble with a free kick..."

"Kooom-BLAY!

"Penalty...Kumble to take...GOAL!!!"

Covering our 5th World Cup!!!

A day after a historic win, Qazox got another as they beat the Founders of the Women's World Cup, Chicanada, for the 1st time 2-0. The win, coupled with Starblaydia's shocking 2-1 loss to Funnia Lan (yes.. the same team we beat 10-1...), Qazox now finds itself in good position to qualify with 2 games left.

The 1st Lady Oxen goal was scored by Sonja Clay in the 39th minute, off a great cross sent into the box by Andrea Childress-Turner. Chicanada responded with counterattacks of their own, but Juila Kidd stoned all 11 shots she faced, earning her a shout-out. The capper came in the 72nd minute when Jeanie Mosley scored her 1st goal.

Up next for Qazox is Ariddia, a team we have faced a few times. Should be an easy win, but close as Qazox wins 2-1.

Well, its been fun, but the Ermines have been offically eliminated from the Cup after a 4-0 loss to Spaam. This young team has shown flashes of brilliance, but experience and talent have proved crucial for advancement. The team has declared themselves into the next Cup and with 2 years of training, they should be more competitive next time around. The goals were scored by 4 different players, whose names were not readily available.

Up next for the Ermines is thier last match of this Cup against The Mushroom Kingship, who also have been held winless so far. They are a young team as well, and the Ermines might have a chance for victory. Ermines in a close one, 1-0.

Sativaville still holds its destiny in its own feet, but a loss to the Hosts, 3-0, makes the last game against Jeruselem very important. Quakmybush came out strong with the crowd solidly in their favour, and the noise proved to be Jacinda Klages' undoing as she let in 3 goals in 7 minutes. The 1st came in the 23rd as Rica Lidia scored off a headed corner. The next came at the 28th minute, when Rica Lidia scored again off a corner kick. The last goal came in the 30th minute when Rosamond Nsonowa was taken down hard in the penalty area by Lauryn Bonato, who was promptly Red-carded. The ensuing pentaly taken by Nsonowa gave the Hosts a 3-0 lead they would ride to the end. Su Mathe was held scoreless, but drove the Quakmybush defence crazy thoguhgout the match. Up next is a well needed day off in prepreation for the best team in the world, Jeruselem.

Cute redheat in red dress on TV

"Hi this is Dazza Dallas for JGN at the World Cup 5. Ah, big game today. We played THE TERMINATORS. Yes, I'm going to say that again, TERMINATORS. Sounds good eh? Oh, anyone notice a difference - Dazza's a strawberry redhead. I'm still cute and desirable."

<winks at camera>

"Well, now back the game. Taking on the former world cup winners Liverpool England isn't something you take lightly. Actually I didn't even play most of the game. Both teams were evenly matched and no one could break the deadlock with defenses working hard. Both teams wasted chances and the keepers didn't make a mistake either. One big fight was going on and no one could land a blow as both former winners just could not make the break. The coach finally put me on the field and all hell broke loose. I think the Terminators team plan broke down - it looked like they were tagging the entire midfield tightly. We had removed a defender, which was a risk and things changed. I got double teamed constantly and this freed up the Jeruselem attack a little more. They paid far too much attention to me, and then Rashina decided to attack pushing an amazing pass to Cute Epie. They scrambled but with the defense thinking I would be one to attack - it was too late. Cute Epie scored the winner. Great game!"

"In other games, Milchama had beat Lovisa who's lost all their games. Score was TWO NIL and Michama get a win they needed. Lovisa are out - too late now. Marceau State had the bye and well, are in trouble - guess who play next?. The hosts Quakmybush beat Sativaville who was leading this group and fell back to 2nd because we won. Quakmybush needed a win and got it THREE NIL."

Now a look at the table of Group D with two game left! Stuff appears on screen for a few seconds

Group D
Jeruselem 1-0 Liverpool England
Milchama 2-0 Lovisa
Quakmybush 3-0 Sativaville

"Jeruselem, that us, lead and our bye is gone. No losses and the only teams who could beat us, have been beaten. So, I think we'll be the top dog as we should be - we are top seed. Sativaville are 2nd but have a bye to negotiate. This means they need to win their last game - and they play us. A loss for them would really hurt. 3rd to 5th are on 2-1-1 record. All have completed their byes. All these teams need wins as competition behind Jeruselem is hot. All these teams want us to win because they want us to wipe any of their competition unless they play us, then they want to win. The last two need god's help. So, for us - one more win. The others fight it out. It's really tight and all we can do is win and help whoever takes their chances. If we lose the last two games - then we are in trouble but I think this team is winner."

<scratches under skirt>

"Hehe, sorry about that. Hope I didn't offend anyone! YAP YAP time. Lots of football girls send me email about asking what they should do to help get that hot soccer guy. Well, firstly be a good player and prove yourself in the pitch. If you're no good, no guy will notice you. And for God's sake, try to look good all the time and take care of your health. Now, look at me - health and not some skinny skeleton. I'm all curves with a lot of real muscle for sport. So you are good player and look good, but dress well too. Don't look like Nun! Show a little flesh because that's why guys want to look at. OK, I'm show a little too much sometimes but you get the idea. See it's simple. AND be yourself - not someone else. I'm Dazza and that's who I am. Call me a whore, but I'm myself. The real test is to get out in the beach in bikini, with your girlfriends. OK, and see who those beach guys look at - is it you? One last thing - some girls walk like stuffed bit piece of cardboard. No, don't to that - wobble! Yeah, shaky shaky. Like this"

<Walks around a sexy wobble>

"That's it from the Women's World Cup V. Sweet dreams all. Me thinks I got someone excited out there."

The Rordettes have just finished training, and are about to get onto the team coach. But head coach Charlotte Mayer had an announcement to make.

Charlotte Mayer: Girls, there's something I want to say!
(Everyone stops talking and listens to Charlotte)
Charlotte: Only 17 of you are getting onto the coach. There are three of you that I thought didn't put any effort into training today! Those three will have to WALK to the hotel! And those three are...
(Charlotte pauses for five seconds)
Charlotte: Katie Phillips... Claire Bayley... and Tracy Walker.
Katie Phillips: But boss, every one of us put 100% into training today!
Charlotte: No! The three of you I believe don't give a s*** about training. I will not accept this attitude, and you're not getting on the coach!
Claire Bayley: But boss, the hotel is five miles away!
Charlotte: Shut it! Stacey's our prima donna, and she doesn't moan about having to walk five miles!
Tracy Walker: This is not the right way to treat us, gaffer! We're footballers, not slaves!
Charlotte: Why don't you three shut up? The rest of us are itching to go to the hotel!
Katie: And so are we!
Tracy: Why won't you let us on board?
Charlotte: SHUT THE F*** UP! You three, start walking! The rest of you, hop on!
(Katie, Claire and Tracy start walking while the others get on the coach)
Charlotte: Micky, let's get rolling...
Coach Driver Micky: I would if I could, Miss Mayer. But we've got a flat tire!
Charlotte: Well why didn't you sort it out before we got on here?
Micky: We don't have any spare tyres!
Charlotte: Oh Jesus Chri... go get one then!
(Micky gets off the coach)
Micky: I'll see what I can do.
(Micky heads off to get a new tyre)

Two minutes later, and Charlotte can still see the three underperformers walking along, albeit quite slowly. She yells at them to walk faster.

Charlotte: HEY! YOU THREE! STOP BEING LAZY AND START WALKING FASTER!
(Katie, Claire and Tracy run around a corner and are now out of sight)
Charlotte: That'll teach them a lesson. If you're lazy, you're not on the coach.
Kelly Richardson: Boss, I think you're being a tad too harsh on them.
Charlotte: I'm the boss around here, Kelly, and I punish players when they're not performing!
Kelly: But wouldn't it be a better idea to...
(Suddenly, everyone hears a car crash and three girls screaming)
Kelly: Oh God, that might be them! (Runs off the coach) I've got to see if they're okay!
Charlotte: Once you're off the coach, Kel, you can't come back on!
Stacey Bourne: Boss, how long will the spare tyre be?

Kelly rushes to the scene, where Katie and Claire are sobbing next to a wrecked car. Underneath the car is a bloodied and bruised Tracy, who is seriously injured.

Kelly: What happened?
Katie: (Still sobbing) A car lost control and crashed into Tracy!
Kelly: Is she alright?
Katie: I don't know! She might be dead!
Kelly: Have either of you called the ambulance?
Claire: Not yet!
Katie: There isn't a phone box for miles!
Kelly: Have you got your mobiles on you?
Claire: No, the gaffer confiscated them after Nicki made a prank call to her!
(Kelly gets down on her knees to check if Tracy is alright)
Kelly: She's still breathing!
Tracy: Somebody... get... ambulance!
Kelly: Don't worry Tracy, we'll get help as soon as we can!
(Kelly gets back on her feet)
Kelly: Katie, Claire, stay there and look after Tracy! I'm going back to the coach!
(Kelly rushes back to the coach)
Charlotte: Back so soon, Kel?
Kelly: It's not funny, boss! Tracy has been hit by a car and needs urgent help!
Charlotte: Is it real, or are you trying to get the rejects on the coach?
Kelly: It is real, you insensitive b****. Follow me!
(Kelly and Charlotte get off the coach and rush to Tracy. Katie and Claire are still inconsolable)
Katie: She's finding it very hard to breathe! If she doesn't get help within minutes, she could die!
Kelly: Boss, where's your mobile?
Charlotte: F***! I've left it on the coach!
(Charlotte runs back to the coach)
Kelly: Hurry up, boss! She might not last much longer!

Will Tracy survive? Find out soon...

The audience applauded, but they were not looking forward to the next song...how would the production represent throwing away a 2 goal lead to the nearest rivals?

With slapstick.

The actresses representing the Wentland defence came out with clown make-up on and to a circus music pranced and pratfalled around the stage.

"Oi, you!"

"Who, me?"

"Yes, you!"

"Duck!"

"No, a goose!"

*parp*

"What do you call a defender who heads an own goal equalizer in the last minute?"

"I don't know, what do you call a defender who heads an own goal equalizer in the last minute?"

"Ellie!"

*parp*

"I don't think that's very funny!"

"No, but this is!"

*parp*

After a few minutes prattishness the clowns came to the stage front.

We blew it against Haraki
We drank far too much saki
But they were wearing khaki
We didn't know who to marki...

And they all slumped to the ground.

"Hi this is Dazza Dallas reporting from the Women's World Cup V for JGN. We've qualified! We beat the poor old hosts FOUR NIL. Quakmybush found out what real World Champs play like! My team have qualified. No need to explain the result really, we can take it easy next game."

<smiles>

"We're looking good, you like me. 17 goals scored in 5 games and 3 conceded. Who needs Karelan tactics, when you have a team like Jeruselem. We play Sativaville next. We don't need to win, but we want to. So Quakmybush lost 0-4 so what about the other teams? Milchama BEAT the TERMINATORS. Milchama won TWO ONE and the Liverpool Englanders look shaky now - yes, losing against us is perfectly OK, but expected them to win more games than two. Marceau State beat Lovisa FOUR ONE, but both teams won't qualify. The ex-host had a good game but not when it counted in the end."

<smiles again, does a little jigg and a cheerleader handstand>

"I'm just so happy. The table? Milchama are two points ahead of Sativaville and three ahead of Liverpool England as well as Quakmybush. Lovisa have the bye and will be last so they won't impact on the results. Sativaville play us - so if they lose, then they will drop from 3rd to lower down. It's really up to Liverpool England, Milchama and Quakmybush to win. If we beat Sativaville, these teams can pounce. Remember, only the top 2 make it. I think Michama will make it, they are 2nd and are best placed to qualify. Sativaville need to beat us - with a good goal difference and the other two need to win anyway. So, we are through and FOUR teams fighting for the other spot."

"In Group A, we have three teams fighting for two spots. Rorysville, New Montreal States and Yafor 2 are in the hunt. 1 point between these teams. Yafor 2 are 3rd and really need the win or else they can't make it. Yafor 2 need to make it or we can't play them in the final. Come on, it's important they make."

"In Group B. Haraki have made it - easily. Wentland, Spaam and Toranat fight over the last spot. Wentland should make it - they must. They are a good team but Spaam and Toranat can spoil things for them."

"In Group C, the World Champs must be scared. You have Jeruselem trashing the opposition, and then the Qazox girls have a fight to their hands. Chicanada and Starblaydia are really to pounce - and the World Champs lead by goal difference at the top. Qazox should survive and he hope Chicanada make it too because the only team which scares Jeruselem is Starblaydia."

"That's it from Dazza the redhead. Sweet dreams and see you all later. It's time to party after that! And Dazzas knows how to party, maybe too well some say."

Covering our 5th World Cup!!!

The Lady Oxen are only a win or a Starblaydian loss away from defending their Cup after a 3-1 win over Ariddia today. Qazox came out strong with two early goals, one by Jeanie Mosley in the 14th minute and the other by Andrea Childress-Turner in the 24th. Ariddia came back with a goal in the 40th minute by Najmah Majrashi. Les Dames en Rouge started the 2nd half peppering Juila Kidd with shots, but none went in and on a counter-attack, Mosley scored her 2nd of the game in the 66th minute, giving the Lady Oxen the 3-1 lead.

Up next is Algal states, a young team, but dangerous as they have been here before. A win will clinch the Group, a Qazoxian first, while a draw or loss, coupled with a Starblaydian win, will send the defending champs home.

The Ermines 1st Women's World Cup ended in disappointment with a tough, 2-1 loss to the Mushroom Kingship. TMK scored both goals early as Annet Diggs scored in the 15th minute and Tina King scored just 6 minutes later. Only a 85th minute goal by MID #9 kept the Ermines from being shut-out for the 3rd time. Green wombat didn't finish last as that dishonor will go to Lovisa with an 0-0-6 record, but there's no reason to celebrate as there is much work to do for the next Cup.

The worst thing about a bye?? the waiting... waiting for the day to end so you can sleep, waiting for the other teams in your group to play and waiting to see just what you have to do tommorrow to get into the World Cup.

Tommorrow, the biggest game in Sativaville history (even bigger than the matches with Qazox) will take place vs. Jeruselem. #1 in the world, only 2-time champs, winners of 20 of their last 21 overall (ooc: just guessing) and 5-time qualifer for the Cup. Going up against them? Sativaville, who only had 2 wins total in their previous 2 apperances and last place twice in their group. Mismatch? Yep. David vs. Goliath? Yep. Easy win for Jeruselem? Unfortunately, yep. Jeruselem 4- Sativaville 1.

Rordettes World Cup Update

Funnia Lan 2-2 Rordia

Rordia have been eliminated from WWC5 after a shock 2-2 draw with Group C's whipping girls Funnia Lan.
The Rordettes were without defender Tracy Walker, who is critically ill in hospital after getting hit by a car yesterday. Their defence looked quite shaky without Walker, and they conceded the first goal after just six minutes. And after getting that goal, Funnia Lan took Rordia to the sword and peppered shots at their goal. After just 18 minutes, Rordia boss Charlotte Mayer thought enough was enough - and made her first substitution. The off-form Claire Bayley was taken off to be replaced by Carly Reed. Just ten minutes later, Reed helped her side get an equaliser. She sent a long ball to Bernie Hughes, who fired a rocket past the Funnia Lan keeper and into the net.
Mayer fired a barrage of swear words at her team in the half-time team-talk. But it appeared that the b******ing hadn't done them any good. Four minutes into the second half, and a Funnia Lan winger sent a shot through keeper Frankie Nowland's legs to make it 2-1 to the minnows. The winger was then booked for overcelebrating, and then Mayer was sent off for giving her the finger. After 55 minutes, that same winger almost increased Funnia Lan's lead, but her goal was ruled out for obstruction. The winger was then given a second yellow card for shouting at the referee.
In the 69th minute, Hughes got her second equaliser of the game - a cheeky backheel past the goalie. But the Rordettes knew that a draw would almost certainly eliminate them, so they pushed on for the winner. And in the 88th minute, they got their chance as Rachel McNiven was brought down in the area. PENALTY! Up stepped captain Kelly Richardson to take the penalty... but her shot hit the bar and ended up in the keeper's arms! Richardson knew that she had ended her country's hopes of progressing, and as the final whistle blew, she was absolutely devastated. As her dejected team-mates walked off the field, Kelly sat on the penalty spot and wondered: "What if?".
After the game, Mayer said: "That was a dreadful performance from us, and we're clearly not good enough to go through. There's always next time, but the players know that none of their places are safe. There could be a mass cull before the next World Cup."
Also in the group, current holders Qazox won 3-1 against Ariddia, while Chicanada scraped a 1-0 win against Starblaydia. Qazox, Chicanada and Starblaydia are now fighting it out for two quarter final berths.

RORDIA XI: Nowland; Bayley (Reed 18), Moreau, Lewis, Childress-Turner; Griffiths, Abergynolwyn (Hill 70), Richardson (c), Phillips; Hughes, van Kol (McNiven 63). Booked: Reed, Hughes.

TWO CAREERS WRECKED!
Tracy Walker and Pauline Docker may never play professional football again.
Yesterday, defender Walker was hit by a car just after she finished training. She was left with multiple injuries, including several broken bones, a broken leg and significant brain damage. She also lost a lot of blood, and is now so critically ill that doctors believe she might not last the night.
A doctor from the local hospital said: "Realistically, Tracy's career is over. There is very little chance of her recovering enough to play professional football again. And if she does recover, it will take a very, very long time."
Meanwhile, there's also bad news for goalkeeper Pauline Docker.
She broke her right leg against Starblaydia a few days ago - this is the third time this has happened to her. Her doctor has advised her not to play football again, as it could potentially cripple her. Docker is currently thinking about whether she should retire or not.

Back down the hill

After yet another draw, this time against Algal States, the Dames en Rouge crashed in their challenge against the Lady Oxen. Only Najmah Majrashi, displaying her usual skill, was able to safeguard the team’s honour, scoring a single goal in the fortieth minute. Hopeful supporters are already pointing out that the Ariddian ladies achieved numerous shots on goal in the second half, but the amazing Qazox goalkeeper Julia Kidd was able to keep her country well in the lead.

The Dames en Rouge have now dropped from second to fourth place in Group C, and have conceded as many goals as they have scored: eight. Ominously, the one opponent they have yet to face is probably the most dangerous: Starblaydia’s Cherries.

“We can take them,” Ariddian captain Hanifah Kyaw said simply, with perhaps more confidence than she actually felt.

Meanwhile, the entire Ariddian team have expressed their sympathies and best wishes to two Rordette players injured yesterday and today.

“Our thoughts and hearts are with Tracy Walker and Pauline Docker,” Kyaw said. “There’s not much more I can say. . . It’s a bad shock for Pauline, and what’s happened to Tracy is awful. We’ll all be wishing her the best.”

The clowns left the stage to laughter...but the Ellie Crisell clown ripped off the motley, smeared the clown make up and approached the front of the stage, as the music merged into something a bit more dangerous...

Slow...heavy guitar...occasional feedback...squealing treble...big lugubrious drumbeat...

I couldn't help it...
I couldn't help it...

A long ball forward...
Easy to clear...
The Toranat striker
Was nowhere near...

The rain had fallen...
A little wet puddle...
Just keep my feet
And there's no muddle...

I ran to the box...
And started to slide...
And the Toranat player
Was coming inside...

I threw myself forward...
To get there first...
But the Toranat player
Had put on a burst...

I didn't get the ball...
I didn't get the ball...
It was a disaster
I fell over
Over
Over
And their player fell over

It was a red, red card...
It was a red, red card...
It was a red, red card...

And now I sit
And watch the team...
Seeing the ten girls
With the World Cup dream...

We need not to lose...
What can I do?
Still need a win
To know we go through...

Oh, I've let them down
And we're going out...
I can't stand it...
It'll be a rout...

The music picked up, faster and faster, as "Ellie" went through the chorus.

She collapsed to the stage as ten girls in Wentland kit returned to the stage and the music crashed to a halt - before picking up with the verse just before the chorus.

-I'm sorry, I blew it...
I'm sorry, I blew it...
Was it a disaster?
Did we lose?
Lose?
Lose?
And are we now out?

-It was a nil nil draw...
It was a nil nil draw...
It was a nil nil draw...

And the song concluded with a massive cymbal crash as they all slumped to the stage in exhaustion and relief.

From: Dazza Dallas - official captain, spokeschick and reporter for the Jeruselem Women's World Cup team

RE: Potential end of careers

I am sending my condolences to you both for taking injuries which might end your careers. I too an injury prone and sometimes I feel like giving away the life of soccer player and concentrating my other profession, journalism which you know I'm pretty good at too.

I am enclosing two personally signed copies of The Dazza Dallas DVD for you as sign of sistership here. We maybe rivals on the soccer field, but players should leave their chosen professions on their own terms - not in untimely manner. If you do cannot play on the field, take up a media position. It's good money and you still get to travel with the team.

I'm lucky if do get injured I have a great job at JGN, talking rubbish for good money. Hopefully someone out there can help you too.

God bless and sweet dreams

THANK YOU FROM RORDIA!
Injured duo Pauline Docker and Tracy Walker have received support from the captains of two opposing teams.
Ariddia captain Hanifah Kyaw and Jeruselem skipper Dazza Dallas both sent their best wishes to Docker and Walker. The Rordian duo have both suffered career-threatening injuries in the past few days.
Pauline, who broke her leg a few days ago, is extremely grateful. She said: "I'd like to thank Hanifah and Dazza for giving us their best wishes. When I read their messages of support, I felt extremely heartened, and I'm sure Tracy felt the same way. Sometimes I wish that more footballers were like them.
"In Rordia, our national motto is 'Siamo Uniti', which means 'We Are United'. It is definitely a case of 'Siamo Uniti' in the Women's World Cup as well."
Tracy was hit by a car two days ago, leaving her critically ill and very close to death. Her condition has improved over the last 24 hours, although she is still seriously ill.
Her mother Sandra read a statement saying: "Tracy is very thankful to Hanifah and Dazza for supporting her during this difficult time. She is pleased that, although they are not from the same team as her, they still care for her. She also would like to say that, if anything happened to an opposing player, she would do exactly the same as they did."
Dallas also said in her condolence letter that, if either Pauline or Tracy were forced to retire, she would recommend that they get a job in media. Pauline said: "Moving into media is something that I am considering. There are several options, but media is near the top of my list."
Rordia will play against Chicanada in their final WWC5 match. Pauline is expected to be in the stands to watch her team-mates take on the giants.

Covering our 5th World Cup!!!

The Lady Oxen will defend their title after a 4-1 win against Algal states yesterday. Qazox was in no danger of losing after 2 quick goals by Jeanie Mosley, who has emerged as a dangerous threat in front of the net, in the 17th and 29th minutes. Algal states answered with a goal of thier own in the 40th minute. But in an extended injury time in the 46th minute (2st minute of injury time,) Stefany Heisel scored to give the Lady Oxen a 3-1 halftime lead. Stefany Heisel also finished the scoring in the 67th minute to end the match 4-1.

Up next for Qazox is the quarterfianls and a re-match of the Final of WWC 4 against Wentland. The Blue Tits’ will be looking for revenge, but i think the Lady Oxen have their number. In another classic QAZOX 1-Wentland 0 once again on penalties.

SATIVAVILLE STONER
Going home-D'oh!

Sativaville played thier butts off last night against Jeruselem, but still lost 3-1. Jeruselem is just that good, even when they play with subs. Sativaville's Su Mathe scored in the 30th minute giving the Lady Stoners a 1-0 lead, but Jeruselem is just too deep and only 6 minutes later they tied the match on a goal by Jo Guest. The Angels pounded the back of the net once more before half as Mousi scord at the 44th minute mark giving Jeruselem the lead for good. The last goal came off the foot of Bobina Grosso int he 63rd minute, providing the winning margin.

Overall I give the Lady Stoners a B+ for this cup. They fought hard, won the games they should have, and didn't get blown out of the water against some of the best teams in the world. Next Cup, with a favourable draw and more experience, this team could qualify.

We need a win
A draw won't be enough
And the defence of Risa
Is somewhat tough
Time for attack
Going for a score
We don't want to
Leave things before
We get to the quarters
Last 8's a must
If we lose now
The World Cup's a bust...

A commentary filled the auditorium as the players on stage danced and re-enacted in ballet style the 4 goals in the final group match. Three for the Blue Tits before Risa-Aramour pulled one back.

We're into the quarters
We're three games away
From World Cup glory
So who do we have to play?

The jaunty upbeat music was suddenly replaced by a crashing chord of minor-key doom.

Rordettes World Cup Update

Chicanada 3-2 Rordia

Rordia's WWC5 campaign has ended with a 3-2 defeat against Chicanada.
The Rordettes didn't start off very well, and after just 20 seconds, they were 1-0 down. Their defence fell asleep, as a Chicanada striker nutmegged Lucy Bare on her comeback game. But Rordia equalised in the 8th minute, as Cortney van Kol ran around the Chicanada defence before sidestepping the keeper and firing home. Van Kol had now matched her WWC4 tally of three goals. However, her game ended early, as she suffered a knee injury in the 20th minute. Her replacement, Stacey Bourne, then set up the goal that put Rordia 2-1 up. In the 25th minute, Bourne's corner kick fell to Maria Baker, who sent a diving header into the net.
Chicanada's players then started to get nervous, and conceded several needless fouls. And when Bianca Griffiths was brought down after 39 minutes, Rordia had a great chance to go further ahead. However, Baker's shot went too high and too wide. The Rordettes then continued to pile pressure on Chicanada's defence. Luckily for the three-time semi finalists, their keeper made several top draw saves to deny Rordia. But as the half-time whistle blew, Rordia were surprisingly in the lead. As things stood, Chicanada were heading out of WWC5 at the first hurdle.
But in the second half, Chicanada turned on the style. In the 63rd minute, their captain sent a scissor-kick past Bare to equalise. And just three minutes later, one of their strikers fired a 40-yarder into the net. Chicanada were now 3-2 up, and their quarter final spot looked safe. In a last-ditch attempt to salvage a point, Rordia replaced Joanne Childress-Turner with Bernie Hughes in the 80th minute. But the new 3-4-3 formation didn't quite work, and the Rordettes ended their campaign on a low note. But Chicanada's players were celebrating - they're through to the quarter finals once again.
Rordia head coach Charlotte Mayer said after the game: "We could have won this game, but for three minutes of madness. We lost concentration in that period, and we've really let ourselves down. But 5th place isn't too bad a finish, and we're only behind Ariddia because we conceded a goal more than them. But I expect us to do better in WWC6."
Qazox trounced Algal States 4-1 to win the group. Chicanada take 2nd place, while Starblaydia are 3rd despite beating 4th-placed Ariddia 3-2. Rordia sign off in a respectable 5th place, with Algal States in 6th and Funnia Lan at the bottom.

RORDIA XI: Bare; Bayley, Moreau, Lewis, Childress-Turner (Hughes 80); Griffiths, Phillips (Abergynolwyn 45), Richardson (c), Cooper; Baker, van Kol (Bourne 20).

Rordia's players will not be heading back home just yet, though. They are staying in Quakmybush for the next few days, so they can tour around the country. They will also check to see how well Tracy Walker is doing in hospital.

Cute redhead in a Rordian team strip

"Hello everyone, it's Dazza Dallas again at the Women's World Cup 5. The last qualifying game is over and the quarterfinalists have been decided. OK, our position was never it doubt but others were. I'm wearing Rordian team strip to show my support for the Rordian team members who got injured. The Jeruselem team feel sorry for them and wish them all the best for the future. If they can't play soccer, let's hope they will be on TV just like me talking about soccer. You know - "

"Group A was settled with two draws. Rorysville played a great 4 ALL draw with New Montreal States, and both teams progressed. Why, Yafor 2 failed to beat their opponents and the top 3 stayed as it is. Yafor 2's NIL ALL draw, was a wasted chance. If they won, they would have made it easily and removed New Montreal States from the top 2. That did not happen and well, for the first time you will not see Yafor 2 in the finals. I think from this Yafor 2 will need a shake-up as they had it all to win and lost it."

"Group B. Haraki won again and topped the group. Wentland won their game which was needed as Spaam trashed their opponent NINE ONE. Lucky Wentland as Spaam did their best and just failed. Goodness me - NINE ONE, that's a hammering."

"Group C. Poor old Rordia. They lost two team members and then lost to Chicanada 2-3. The World Champs Qazox beat their opponents FOUR ONE and topped the group. So the Ox girls and Chicanada progress. Starblaydia also won but since the top 2 won, they did not make it either."

"Group D. We won as expected but Milchama choked. The hosts QuakMyBush BEAT them but the hosts were out already - and then the Terminators won their game. 3rd placed Sativaville played us which mean the other two teams were happy. Happy Terminators and they progress."

"RIGHT, let's preview the quarterfinals!"

"Rorysville take on the former World Champs, the Terminators. Tough game as the Rorysville team look good and hot to trot. The Terminators have not been great lately even from the last Women's World Cup, but they are champs still. I think Rorysville will take this out but the Englanders will fight all the way."

"New Montreal States take us on. The States have to be at their best - because with Yafor 2 out, the other faves are us, Qazox and Wentland. We're not going into this game underprepared as the top 8 teams are all good. They can win anytime anywhere but if you look at Jeruselem - we beat the Terminators and Milchama from our group. We are the form team and everyone fears our ability. With two cups, you can't argue. Well, I'm picking well you know which team!"

"Haraki look good - and Chicanada are in their way. Two teams undefeated - us and Haraki so Chicanada will need to perform. They will need play as if they play Jeruselem as Haraki have only drawn one game and won the rest. Haraki is my pick."

"THE BIGGIE - the finalists from the last World Cup clash. The World Champs Qazox take on Wentland team. It's a pity this has to happen but one of these great teams has to go. You know, it's hard to pick but Wentland. This might just be Wentland's cup but we're going try get our cup back."

"YAP YAP TIME. yes it is. Now, someone asks about my modelling career. OK, I'm pretty busy with playing soccer, media commitments and doing my journalism, so I don't have much time for modelling - in fact not much time. I do a bit here and there usually not wearing a lot because that's what people ask to do. I do get a quite a good hourly rate for it probably because everyone wants to see Dazza. No, I'm not professional model - too busy. If I do retire from soccer actively, I might have more time. That's it from me - sweet dreams you all especially my boyfriend out there."

The stage was filled with smog and a sense of foreboding and doom. When the dry ice cleared there were 11 women stage left, 11 women stage right.

Staring at each other.

The music had died down.

Silence.

Utter silence.

Then one from the left stepped forward. And one from the right did likewise.

Both had something dangling from their lips.

A referee approached, timid, dressed in black, with a small box.

The lid flicked open and each took out a weapon.

And stepped forward to the front of the stage, side by side.

They turned their backs on each other.

And a new, strange, otherworldly tune played...

Like this. (http://mfile3.akamai.com/14123/wm2/muze.download.akamai.com/2890/us/uswm2/_!/112/106112_1_01.asx?auth=daEc.d4bcbecubddec.cqcJapbubSbicubp-bfnvkx-Ci-cggce&aifp=1234&obj=v60501)

Third time is not a charm for Wentland

For the third straight time, Qazox has beaten Wentland, and this time it was over before the half, instead of a shoot-out. The Blue Tits, bent on avenging two penalty-kick shoot-out losses ina row, came out on all cylinders, but a costly moment by Ellie Crisell int he 17th minute, gave Qazox an opening and they ran through it. Crisell was called for a hand-ball after a free-kick by Anna Kumble. Crisell was understandibly infuriated with the call, but head-butting the ref was not called for. An immediate Red-Card was given, and Wentland was a woman down.

The Lady Oxen took advantage of their extra-woman and in the 23rd minute scored on a goal by Stefany Heisel, her 9th of the tourney. After the goal, both teams seemed settled down a bit and perimeter and looked for oppertunities to score, but Wentland's team couldn't stay with the faster Lady Oxen, not with only 10 people. In the 41st minute, a crossing shot was deflected by Anne Foy, but instead of having it cleared out, Denise Vinson lasered the ball right past Foy off the far post to give Qazox a 2-0 lead.

In the 2nd half, Qazox stayed back and for most of the half, kept the Blue Tits from any decent shots, but once again Anna Kumble somehow found the back of the bet in the 78th minute, giving some life back into the tired Wentland team. But having to play a person down for 73 minutes will wear down a team, and over the last 12 minutes of play, Wentland couldn't maintain any sustained attack and it was over.

Up next for Qazox is Chicanada, 1-0 winners over Haraki, who now are 4-time semi-finalists. Can Chicanada make their 1st ever final or will the Lady Oxen reach the finals for the 2nd time in a row?

In other action Jeruselem held off a determined New Montreal States 2-1 and Liverpool England, advanced to it's first semi-final in 16 years beating Rorsyville 4-1. Will the much anticipated Jeruselem-Qazox rematch happen? or will Liverpool England shock the 2-time champs? We'll find out in a couple of days.

Redhead in a standard Jeruselem angels strip with mud and stuff on it.

"Hey everyone, I'm back. Girls hide your boyfriends because Dazza is on TV now. hehe! Women's World Cup is hotting up - yes the action is hot and so are some of the players like err me. Well, the quarter finals are over - four stand and four are gone"

"Liverpool England are the terminators and they are back with the Arnie attitude. Rorysville crumbled to the Terminators. The Englanders won FOUR ONE and they march on to another cup. Yes the first winner is back like Arnie said. Very impressive from Liverpool England and once again RorysVille fail to deliver when it counts. So The first world champs are back and they want this cup."

"Once again we make the semi-finals in the last four cups. Yes, that's impressive and we have won 2 of 3 so far - and when we win the semi, we've won the final too. New Montreal States put up a fight but went down 1-2 to the Angels. We have two cups so - two former champs march into the semis. You can see why former champs are good, eh? A really tight game with usual temper tantrums and dummy spits but Jeruselem fight it's way through to final four. You can see why other teams fear us - we don't like losing. Only TWO ONE but it's a win all the same."

"Poor Haraki - they were doing so well and they play a shocker against Chicanada. Chicanada played well and deserved to win but Haraki really should have done better. They are capable of so much and when it comes to big games, they fail. Chicanada progress with ONE NULL and are back as a power in women's football."

"The clash of last year's finalists. As predicted it was close but the current champs once again beat Wentland. The OX girls will be defending the crown and with two ex-champs really to pounce, they are still on track. wentland are such good team who are so unlucky not to win one cup. Always in the top 4 but never win one - same can be said for Yafor 2 who failed to make the top 8 for this tournament. Why teams like Jeruselem, Qazox and Liverpool England always get in the way."

"Now - the semi matchups. Chicanada escaped Haraki and then run into a fire. That is they play us! Chicanada have never made a final compared to Jeruselem's two finals. We'll be ready and we want our cup back. Get ready for firework because we aren't going want to repeat our loss to Qazox last time. For us, not winning this cup is a failure - such is our standards now. The big one - the champs against the FIRST Champs. Liverpool England vs Qazox. The Ox girls may not play God's angels but they are not intending to be Terminated either. "

"The semis - current champ, two former champs and a new contender. Either Qazox will do a Jeruselem, Jeruselem will take a hat-trick, the Terminators take back the cup or we have a new name on the cup. Don't miss the games and don't miss the final either. Women's football is alive and well - these girls mean business. No Yafor 2 or Wentland to fight it out - it's a pity but that's football"

"Yo, I have a new DVD to sell you. So you have the Dazza Dallas DVD and all the other ones? Add this to the collection. Dazza dug out all her old video tapes and found a heap of ones from her cheerleader days. Now what are you going call a DVD like this? Dazza does Dallas of course. What else you you call it? You've seen me wiggle and dance in TV, well - what me do it properly. Our hour of my best cheerleading. You see I was a part-time cheerleader when a coach asked my try out some football. He didn't think I had it until I had few training runs he was impressed, so that's why I'm a soccer player now."

<does a hand-stand on one hand>

"See, Dazza can still do it. Sweet dreams everyone and watch the semis, or I'll send around some Mormons."

BACK TO THE FINALS!!!

In an ergregoius error, it was reported that Qazox was to take on Chicanada in one semi-final, while Liverpool England was to take on Jeruselem int he other. But it was found out after the paper went to press, that in fact Qazox would Take on Liverpool England and Chicanada would take on Jeruselem. Our Humblest apologies for this error.

As for the match itself... one word: Offensive, in a positive way as both teams scored thrice and had to go to penalties to settle it.

The offensive expolsion started in the 14th minute when Qazox' Denise Vinson scored to give the Champs a 1-0 lead, but LE hung in there and in the 29th minute, they tied the match at 1-1. Both sides continued to attack and press the defences, but neither keeper allowed a shot in until the 44th minute when LE scored off a misplayed clear-out by Stephanie McDonald, allowing LE to take a 2-1 lead into the half.

The Lady Oxen had came and have comeback from 1st half deficits before, and they came out in the 2nd half looking to tie it up early, but another Stephanie McDonald mistake gave LE a 3-1 lead in the 50th minute. Head Coach Kylie Rena hadn't subbed out Stephanie McDonald ever in the last two cups, but with the chance at a repeat slipping away, she subbed in the rookie defender, Decieta, and hoped for the best.

Decieta's sub provided a spark for the Lady Oxen when just 4 minutes later, she blocked a point-blank shot with her face and revelled in the blood pouring out of her mouth. After that chilling display of bravery, Qazox began to work the ball deeper into LE's side and in the 67th minute, Risa Klyn scored to cut the lead down to 3-2. But the damage was done as LE couldn't mount any offense, due to the weird vibes that Decieta gave. With less than 10 mintes to play, Kylie Rean decided to use her last two subs and sent in Gretchen Talley and Saundra Marci Harris, giving Qazox a 7 woman attack. The strategy worked and less than 2 minutes after the subs, Stefany Heisel blasted her 10th goal of the Cup past the LE keep in the 86th minute.

Both sides worked hard in Extratime, but neither side had much to give after the long match, so once again Qazox was in penalties, and Qazox hasn't lost one yet. Sonja Clay ame up and promptly scored easily faking out the LE keep. Le's 1st shot went over the crossbar, to the shock of their kicker. Risa Klyn and LE's 2nd traded goals as did Jeanie Mosley and the LE 3rd. Denise Vinson and LE's 4th both scored leaving the score at 4-3. Up cme Stephany Heisel, and with one flick of her foot, Qazox was back in the finals.

Jeruselem walked over Chicanada again 4-1, setting up the Final every one wanted JERUSELEM-QAZOX. The 1st time ever that 2 champions will meet in the Cup Final. Will Qazox repeat thier 1-0 upset of Jeruselem in the WWC4 semis? or will Jeruselem take back what they claim is rightfully theirs? All i know is this will be a great match.

"Hey viewers! It's Dazza Dallas at Women's World Cup 5 again. Now, who's in the final? Well no Yafor 2 but another team will take their place, a really good team that is. The two semis are over and well, it's a clash of the champs in the end."

"Chicanada's record against Jeruselem is quite bad and well things did not change. We ran over them FOUR ONE. Chicanada might have pipped Haraki ONE NIL but when you play Jeruselem - you have to be really good. My team are here to win and take it all! We mean business and when we mean business - we win. Losing for Jeruselem is not the option at all. Oh yeah, Dazza's wants to hold that cup - and one more game we will or won't. Chicanada did well to make this far but you must be at your best against us. They were not and got crushed by God's angels. Oh yeah. Watch the replay on JGN or JGN cable - we were good but I feel sorry for Chicanada still, but I can't hand out semi-finals to other teams. They must beat us like Qazox did."

<does a sumersault>

"Sorry, just so excited. I think you just saw my undies, but Dazza doesn't care! The other semi. The current World Champs took the first world champs. Qazox played Liverpool England and the current champs won - JUST. An exciting game with both teams striving for victory and at the end of extra-time, 3 ALL. Nothing separated these teams are the Ox and Terminator girls threw themselves into the fray with all they had. Both teams were simply deserving to win but there's no mercy in semi-final - one must win. You know we are happy didn't play these teams in the semi, we might have lost like the last world cup to Qazox. 3 ALL and penalty shootouts, and the Ox girls won 5-3. Yes, the Terminators could not match the Ox girls and we have cracker of a final!"

"The current world champs Qazox take on the two time world champs Jeruselem. It's the dream final isn't it? Both teams are good and deserving - they both have cups and want more. So it's my team want revenge for last world cup against a team who had fight off Liverpool England just to get here. People - don't miss it as we're going to make sure the cup comes to it's real home, Jeruselem."

"Right, 3rd placed play-off. Liverpool England take on Chicanada - we came 3rd last world cup but I think the Terminators will this one."

"I've had reports of shops being cleaned out of my new DVD - Dazza does Dallas. In one report, a junior male soccer team turned up and took a whole stack of my DVDs. Thanks for the support, guys. I'm putting Jeruselem women footballers on the map. Once upon a time, Jeruselem had no women footballers and no one knew any if there were, now everyone knows who Dazza is. I'm putting me on the line and promoting women's football. I'm not saying we are better than men, far from it. I'm saying we can play together and work together in the same team and succeed. Dazza like her guys too because I learn from the men too and some are really cute too. No more laughing at the Jeruselem teams either as underachievers. We mean business and winning is what Jeruselem can do - including 3rd women's crown. watch out, here comes Queen Dazza!"

Covering our 5th World Cup!!!

SO CLOSE...BUT YET SO FAR AWAY

The match the World had been waiting for was over before it even began as Jeruselem jumped out to an early 2-0 lead and held on to win 2-1, giving the Angels thier 3rd World Cup in 4 tries. The Lady Oxen came into the match expecting the usual Jeruselem attacks and tricks, but John Jerk had a few tricks up his sleeve, and they worked. Not to mention that Dazza was back and pissed off..somewhat.

Usually Jeruselem's best player, Dazza Dallas plays Midfield, but Jerk moved her up onto the Front line, and 5 minutes into the match, the move payed off as Dazza jumped in front of a leaping Olivia Garden on a corner kick, and promptly headed the ball into the net giving the Angels a 1-0 lead. The Lady Oxen have been down before and come back, but the presence of Dazza seemed to rattle the defending champions and it showed just 10 minutes later.

Dazza Dallas entered the box looking for a pass from Sadda Hussein, but was taken down by Olivia Garden, giving Jeruselem a penalty kick. Dazza was chosen to take the kick and Juila Kidd had no chance as she dove left and the ball went right and Jeruselem had a 2-0 lead just 15 minutes into the match.

Head Coach Kylie Rena called a timeout and talked to her team, and the words spoken seemd to calm the Lady Oxen down a bit. The rest of the 1st half saw both side repeatedly stoned by the defense and the keepers and they went to the locker rooms with the score 2-0.

Qazox came out in the 2nd half, with a different tactic, a 2-2-6, with Gretchen Talley placed in the front, giving the Lady Oxen more speed to counter Dazza's play. The tactic seemed to work at first as Stefany Heisel scored her 11th goal of the tourney just 8 minutes into the 2nd hald, cutting the lead down to 2-1.

With momentum now on their side, the Lady Oxen seemed primed to climb their way back into the match, but the stellar defensive play of the Angels proved too much, for even Qazox to break, and when the final whistle blew, Jeruselem had regained their crown 2-1.

(ooc2 toJeruselem: I gave you the TOUR de QAZOX title...you could have given me a 2nd Cup...lol.. Seriously.. GJ and I'm gonna take it back next Cup! :p )

(ooc3 to all: I'll have the new ranking up either tommorrow (Fri.) or on Saturday)

"Hey, you should know who I am by now. I'm Dazzas Dallas and guess what this is? No, it's not the World Cup but close - it's the Women's World Cup! It's ours once again. 3 times in five cups - Jeruselem is a champion. This is ours for the next four years. We beat current World Champs Qazox TWO ONE. Oh yeah and scored the two winning goals - as a forward. Yes as a forward - I've never done that before but it worked. Qazox fought back but our defense is the best in the cup - THE BEST. So, party on people as me and girls are coming home with this!"
