IC: since no one has done it, I'm gonna open the sign-ups for the 20th edition of the highest hockey cup on NS! Please, do not provide any roster, style modifiers, etc. All this should be done in the RP thread once the host has been found (that means I'm NOT gonna host this cup).

Anyway, if you'd like to host, just notify it in this thread as well.

To close this introduction... The more we are, the funnier the cup will be (and the more threats there will be).

Y Sbortóanghii, having done surprisingly well in the last Aglukark-Cherry Cup (and their first ever competative... or other hockey experience), would be quite interested in trying again, though there's not much point our trying to host the thing five minutes after learning that it's possible to move deliberately upon ice. But, ah, since I'm moving to Australia in a few weeks and there after may not see a computer again for all I know, we may just vanish part way through. Of course there's every chance we'll be eliminated long before I pack my bags, but I'm not sure how long this competition will take in getting off the ground.

That said, whether we're there or not, we threaten to sink the Gulls' battleship.

(So that's a maybe, from Beddgelert/Beth Gellert, which is a lot of help, I know.)

Even though we're a small country, we have a big hockey following here, and our goalie is a bit on the tantrum-y side ;) Think Dan Cloutier or Ron Hextall.

Tourney - depending on amount of signups, will be a group round robin and then 8 ot 16 teams advancing (depending on signups)

Scoring - I will be using Oliverry's Hockey Scorinator 2.0.

Other - There will be a match everyday.

RP Bonus - Ranked on a scale of 1-5 to be subtracted from the teams rank. If the one seed rps it will be added to the other nations rank.

Jinkton City Arena - Capacity 20,000

This is the largest Arena in Quakmybush, most of the teams international games are played out of here.

What do you mean? How do you determine the "one seed"? What do you mean?

I guess he means that, for the #1 ranked team, if that team RPs, instead of removing a rank, it will add a rank to the opposing team

how will that work for knockout stages. It sounds like there would be an even greater disadvantage for being in a high RP group.

Setup-4 Groups of 6(or more if more teams Join)
Scheduling-1 Game against each Team within your group =5 Games in Group Phase then the two out of each group advance to the Quarterfinals. All Knockout Phase Rounds will be Best of 3 Series.
Scorination- A modified Version of NS Footy Sim (modified for Hockey Use) with a +/- 5 Rating( +5 being ALL out Attack and a -5 being a Trap)
unlike Quaks I'm not using a RP Bonus for the simple fact that I don't see the need
