RU and MST Ready

As the draws and schedules have been revealed, our two teams are prepped and ready to go. Raynor University got drawn into the conference known as the Great 6 and looks like the early favorite to win the conference. However they have tough test in week one, traveling to Oklahoma. The squad knows that if they can string the victory out of that web that they will have the early line to the championship. However lets not get ahead of ourselves here, the team will first have to prove that their style of play is effective at this level. Sure they went 14 and 0 on the way to the ECGCS (Elven College Gridiron Championship Seris) defeating Mar Sara Tech 42-21 in the championship game. But who is to say that thier passing attack can be as great at this level? The key to their success will be the lines ability to keep pressure of Alverez and for J. Smith to make the plays he's supposed to when a running play is called. Thomas and Forse should catch plenty of passes and TDs, so it will be up to Prescott and T. Smith to prove that they deserve their starting spots.

Looking over at our other entry, Mar Sara Tech, it is hard to gage how well or how poor they will perform. They had a 12-2 record in the ECGCS losing only to RU and Char Sara, who both won thier conferences. Still, the team has not yet posted their roster so we don't know if they will field the same team that performed so well. Suffice to say, MST will be ready for Coach Demanor always finds ways to pull out rabbits from his hat.

OCC: Is there an RP bonus? And if there is, how will it be incorporated?

Yes. I am using Madden 04 to simulate this and i will tack on a few extra points to your team.
Ex: A team thatss a 75 overall goes to a 76 or 77 depending on the RP quality. Max is 10 bonus points.

RU falls but Tech Rockets

It was going to be a test of how well their system was going to work in the international stage. It was going to be a close, hard fought game. And that it was, however not in favor of the RU. The team gave up a touchdown with 1:47 to go and couldn't produce late game heroics themselves.

if your using madden, i think thats unfair, since it depends on what team you use for a team on here, you could use the patriots for one team and the bills for another, see my point

The following appears in the Confluence Herald, 9/10/2006 (please note the player names in the article)

Firebirds Actually Win An Opener
Tonom Hakine Field, Confluence-- The Firebirds of Confluence University finally post their first opening win in 4 seasons- actually winning their first international game with a 24-10 victory of Alverin. Next up, the Firebirds host Bayshore, who comes off a 35-0 rout of Army of Bostopia.
QB #2 Mark Wittaker looked impressive, but a possible suspension hangs in the balance of a police investigation concerning a nightclub brawl in West Confluence. If he should be unable to play, former Mt. Stevens Tech QB Gregor Kumatz (#19) is ready to step in. Kumatz transferred at the end of the previous season, citing "personality conflicts" as his reason. Head Coach Herb Waylons is hopeful that Wittaker will not miss a game, but also seems confident in Kumatz's ability to lead the team to a second victory.
K Johann Renae (#1) kicked the team's lone field goal, a 41-yard attempt, his first on the year. HB #30 James Rahlt rushed for one TD, and Wittaker threw TD passes to WR #81 Tom Harztens and TE #84 Yves Salivan for the other two scores.

New Martentopis sports Update
Martentopian Universities Played Incredibly Well at the NS College Football league

Yes, it's true. Both of our National University League winners are playing incredibly well at the first NS college football league ever. Whinhich city played suprisingly well against West Virginia Team#1, contradictory to most expert predictions, becasue of the incredible blow the team suffered when well-known quarter-back Kolino Koln died in a car crash.

Whinhich City vs. West Virginia Team #1
41- 4
The game started well for Whinhich City. West Virginia's defence failed 8 times in the first quarter alone. The first point in the match was scored by a field goal from Kolino Koln's brother Chow Koln. Chow Koln would continue to score 21 more points.

New Teqilan vs. Ocala
30-14
New tequilan suffered a particularly bad first quarter, letting Ocala slip past their defences 5 times, themselves only doing so 2 times. By the third quarter, however, they were back on their feet, showing the perfecton they also showed in the National University League.

Sooners 27 Raynor 21
(OPU) Raynor- Paul Thompson threw for 228 yards and Adrian Peterson ran for 198 as the Sooners slid past Raynor University on the road. Raynor had it tied 14 to 14 at halftime. With Oklahoma WR/DB Drew Harris who had a 71 yard interception return for touchdown. In the first quarter he struck again catching a 36 yard pass from Thompson, but the extra point snap was muffed. But Raynor wasn’t out of it yet as they got in the end zone. Then with under two minutes to play fullback JD Runnels punched in on third and goal to put the Sooners on top 27 to 21.

In the Sports section of the Confluence Herald, 9/15:
Confluence Stages Late Rally to Defeat Bayshore 28-24
Tonom Hakine Stadium, CONFLUENCE- QB Mark Wittaker showed just what he's made of last night against Bayshore (1-1).
The sophomore quarterback, recently cleared of rape charges by the Confluence PD, lead the Firebirds (2-0) on a final 2-minute TD scoring drive, capped off by a 3-yard pass to Yves Salivan. The touchdown turned a 24-21 deficit into a 28-24 lead with 0:30 left on the clock. Johann Renae's kickoff went out of bounds, but the Firebird defense held them to only 8 yards on the next drive before forcing a interception into the hands of CB #34 Hank Taylor.
Last night's victory marks the second game in a row in which the Firebirds scored three or more touchdowns in a game. Next up, CU begins a 4-game road trip at Army of Bostopia (0-2), who is coming off a 27-6 loss to Alverin.

RU Earns First Win, Tech Falls In A Thriller

With a magnificent display of how an great air atack opens the way to a powerful running game, Raynor made Nova Tech look foolish quarter after quarter. The key to the victory was the calm way in which Alverez lead the offence to scoring drive after scoring drive, even when NT looked like they would mount a comeback.

Despite the loss, Tech proved that they are for real, and will be in every game no matter who the oppenent is. The only concern for the team from this point on is if their defence can stiffen up and allow them to defeat some of the tougher teams in the future.

I hate to point these out but:

#1- You just re-simmed the Week 2 match ups

#2- this thread is just about dead.

How about just calling it quits.. and try again in a week or so?

I'd hafta agree with Qazox this has been long dead I'd suggest we restart it all from Scratch
plus you also missed one of my 2 Universities

Since I have NCAA 2007 (for PS2) I could Simulate the season if we restart. I also have Madden 2007(for PS2) as well. There for iIcould theoretically could sim up to 151 teams. (119 NCAA+ 32 Madden- 151 teams)

The only change i would make is to ask teams to post a +4 to -4 skill rating. (+4= Juggernaut, -4= Cupcake, 0= Balanced)

I could sim a whole seson worth of games in like 45 minutes. and then just post them as needed.

I would post results with the following:

Final Score/Scores By Quarter
Total Yards (passing/rushing/receiving)
Penalties/Yds
Turnovers
Passing Stats for QB

All you would have to do is put in your players names and make sure that the total yards equal what is posted.

I'm going to re-launch this thread later tonight. I am not slandering your hosting abilities, Okie, but too be honest. i'm not quite sure you thought this through all the way before you did. I'm sorry if you maybe offended.

Hopefully i'll see some of you there!!
