After years of bloody civil war and isolation Clandonian Prime sees a new threat of a organsised insurgency against government forces. The small army fought against the anarchists. With outdated equipment and facing a enemy with modern weaponry due to support from anarchist nations in the region President Urkov anounced a modernisation plan to update the outdated airforce with begin a more structured system of command.

'I ask the civilised nations of the world to come to aid of Clandonia Prime we ask for military and economic support to fight these rebels who could push CP into another bloody civil war where more lives could be lost.'

The Presidents words come only hours after the devestating attack in the North of the country in the city of Minskian where a car bomb killed 32 civillians at a shopping centre. In response military forces went on an incursion into the mountainous regions but were forced back. Attacks have increased after the end of the isolation period in which the anarchist members of Parliament argued that it would cause grave concern and walked out of Clanon City. Many in the government are hopeing for outside support as the country possibly slips in to bloodshed again.

CPNN: Breaking News

We are getting reports of a massive car bomb in the capital Clanon City in the government district of the city. In a statement the Anarchists issued a statement admitting responsibilty for the attack where rescue workers are saying that up to 120 people could be killed as the car slambed into a glass fronted building where members of the Interior Ministry were meeting to discuss the rising carnage.

General Roger Gutenberg from the Ministry of Defence anounced that the crackdown would route out all and not spare one anarchist. With the budget today many have looked at the government to increase defence and security spending. But still many inside look outside of Clandonia Prime for help.

CPISF Outpost
2200 Hours

The two guards saw the truck aproaching from the road they prepared to stop it. This was a dangerous part of the country, on the border with bandit country in the North where the anarchists had pratically free movement. The truck starting to accelerate towards the road block by then it was too late the Gunner on the top tried to stop it with a volley of gunfire from L7 GPMG by then it was too late the explosion ripped through the outpost killing the 20 soldiers who were part of the Interior Security Force. The burning building lit up the night sky as ammo and fuel containers exploded. People ran away screaming as the emergency services arrived picking up the wounded.

Another day another attack something had to be done......

The PDSRA expresses its condoleances for the loss of life in Clandonia Prime, and urges insurgents to cease their terrorist activities and open peaceful negotiations with the Clandonian authorities.

We would like to know, however, who these rebels are, what their grievances are with the authorities, what their ideals and goals are, and so on. Deplorably, the word "anarchist" is very often misused.

It has come to the attention of the Democratic Empire that an uprising has occured in the nation of Clandonia Prime, a country which lies in our direct sphere of influence in the home region of Golden Triangle. Therefore, we feel obliged to offer our assitance as a neutral peacekeeping party in Clandonia Prime. If we are given permission, we will immediately begin deployment of a small force to assist Clandonian forces in keeping the peace between the government and the insurgency.

Please, respond as soon as possible. We wish to prevent further bloodshed, and can only do so when given permission to operate by the rightful government of Clandonia Prime.

1800 Hours
Northern Frontier, 34th (Northern) Signal Regiment HQ

The young private stood on guard looking out of the tower over into the dry landscape, the cold steel on the SA-80 was hurting his hand, he went into his pocket and go out his gloves just as he had picked up his helmet something caught his eye, looking through the SUSAT he saw something, he went to the Spyglass to get a thermal image.

Just then the low whine of a mortar fire, as the incoming rounds hit the camp. Striking the dish of a microwave communication system.

'INCOMING!!' Came the crys and screams as the rounds hit all around blowing up Land Rovers.

In the bunker an urgent draft was being relayed to the CPAF base to the East, Prilius Airbase where a fighter detachement was being scrambled to bring in close air support for the outpost. The SU-30's brought down cluster munitionary on the fleeing anarchist rebels but the damage was already done the HQ was smoking and 22 were dead another bad day.....




1900 Hours, Northern Army Command
In retalition a counter attack was being planned armour was arriving from the 1st Armoured Brigade from the South. Elemements of the following units were being drawn in:

* 1st Mechanised Division
* 1st Artillery Brigade
* 1st Mechanised Brigade HQ and Signal Squadron
* 10th Mountain Mechanised Brigade

The plan was to reach the rebel held village to the North in a valley, push forward using Challenger and Stallion tanks after artilery bombardment from MLRS and AS-90 support. The operation would push forward, to take the abandoned airstrip that had been in rebel hands where the 1st CPISF Specialised Urban Warfare Unit and 22nd Special Air Service brigade would clear the remaining tunnel network before it would be blow by the 2nd Combat Enginers.

2320 Hours

Northern Clandonian Aralen Mountains

The rebel held village of Akranlah was under attack in retalition a sleeper cell in Clanon City had detonated a truck bomb outside the CPISF garrision guarding the foriegn embassy district. In an operation CPISF units were engaged with local police in a gun fight in the municipal block areas, and had to call in air support to finish the group off bringing down a entire block of flats as an SU-30 had launched a missile into the side.

Meanwhile several thousand miles to the North rebel units were advacing causing fierce oposition to Clandonian units. AWACs support newly arrived was co-ordinating the battle bellow. The new B-1B Lancers were really helping, a commander of the 10th Mountain had called in airsupport on a hill line demolishing what appeared to be a rebel munitions dump. Stalion tanks were clearing the way through the mines and defences as the Challenger's rolled through. The operation was going well.

The 3rd Marine Division landed on the beaches, rifles at the ready as they set up positions to welcome the Third Infantry Division and Fifth Armored Division. One of the regiments advanced to Clanon City in order to make contact with the local government forces and establish a suitable base of operations. All was going as planned so far, with little opposition to the newly arrived Cravanians.

They knew this could change any second, though... And the Imperial Marines were ready for it.

Message to Cravan Military

We welcome you to our country, we have provided space for a command HQ at the Clanon City airport on the military side. We will provide supplies and anything needed at your request. We currently have a military operation going on, the peacekeeping is rather a perilous situation and we say now that the rebels will not distinguish between you or anyone else for that matter in terms of how the bullets fly.

The newly formed Allied States of Brisetonia is offering to send a force of 15,000 (10,000 Combat, 5,000 support) troops to the be-seiged nation of Caledonia

Prime Minister Jason Brisebois had this to say:" We cannot stand idle while anarchist harm innocent civilians. We will do what it takes and stay as long as we have to until this nation is secure from the rebel threat. If our offer is accepted, we would be willing to send the 2nd Light Infantry Division. They would be escorted by Elusion Class general purpose SUV's, UH-60 Blackhawk transports and it's marine flagship, the Frigate "Colonial." This would not be a peace-keeping mission. This would be a full scale offensive against the rebels."

Brisetonia awaits a response. In the meantime, an advance force of 250 troops is moving towards the nation on board the "Colonial"

1300 Hours

The operation had been a success the village was levelled, the body count had confirmered over 3000 rebel forces dead. Inbedded media teams were being shown around the battlefield with their military relations officers, showing victorious Clandonian Prime forces and the ruins and remains of the anarchist rebels. The sonic boom of SU-30's overhead signalled the firepower of the Clandonian military might had won the battle. Then came the breaking news on peoples tv sets, the ocean city of Firious had just had what was described a 'major inocent'.

1345 Hours, 40 minutes after reports

'Do the media know that it was a radiological weapon, well they will look at these pictures!'

The scattered mass of a photos from a recon aircraft showing the mushroom cloud, and the burning city bellow of the oil reinfery. The device was a small, no more than 10 KT's but the damage was done.

The Minister for Health stood up,

'Estimated civilian casulties are in the thousands, we are looking at about 8000 dead, the emergency operation is underway we have rescue teams heading there now.'

'The fallout will proberly go Westwards due to the prevailing winds meaning the rest of the country is safe for now, I've already told the Cravanian's about this and wired a message to the ADAN leaders.'

The country was in chaos, as the media learnt of the helicopter cameras proned on the glowing mass as military fighters told them to back off, not to hide for their own saftey the red glowing tarmac was highly radioactive. Firecrews were overwelmed by the blazes, in NBC gear they had praticed as CPISF evacuted people away, with the roads melting from the heat and fires out of control the order was given to abandon the city as the fires raged on.
By special powers of the 2000 Terrorism and Interior Security Act President Urkov, who's family had been caught up in city, granted special powers for the CPISF and armed forces to use any force to stop the terrorists. CPISF raided the offices and homes of suspected anarchist charity workers and political sympathisers who had conections to the North, local party officials deemed those prisoners of low value to be executed by the police others were taken away for torture to extract information under the new powers then they would meet the same fate a volley of 5.56mm to the head. For the second time of the year warplanes went in patrol over major cities as tanks and apc's went in to create road blocks. Police forces were put on the highest alert and flights were cancelled at airports as the strict lockdown security features went up.

CPISF NBC teams were searching the nation for any possible secondary devices and had done a controlled explosion in the Western province of Yorkshran on a factory. SU-30's had bombed the Northern Provinces border with the lands to the North which the terrorists knew as safe haven with no government control they had free reign. Now it was truely war, and Clandonia was prepared to stop these people at all costs.

Prilius Airforce base, North East Clandonia
1955 Hours


The B1-B Lancer stood on the runway, an armourer carefully wheeled in the trailer, two NW-590 Tactical Nuclear Warheads stood on it, bought through black market back channels for a full blown nuclear retalition after the attack eariler on. The targets, two areas across the border in the unknown lands no one would know the mission was classified of the highest order. The cover story was ready, a horrible acident in a rebel bomb factory. The sun was setting, as the bomber went off into the dark skys ahead. Only 400 miles to the North, weather forcasters had predicted the wind paterns, radioactivity would be blown out to sea.



2200 Hours, the aircraft turned away the tiny parcels floated down on their parachutes wings folded back it went to its maximum speed to get away from the blast. The small 200 KT blasts were picked up by military commanders back on home soil, the mission was complete all rebel forces had been systematically wiped out in one big swoop. The war was now over, a message of surender was published by the last few rebels as they marched North, surviors of the blasts their days were numbered as their hair and the signs of radiation sickness started to set in.

Not having received a response from the Clandonian authorities, the PDSRA condemns the horrendously disproportionate violence used by both sides, and extends its sympathies to innocent civilians caught in the crossfire of two murderous organisations.

Brisetonia would like to follow their lead, condemning this violence. Our nation feels the use of nuclear weapons went too far, and was completely unnessicary.

The death toll from the Firious attack is in the 10,000s of thousands dead, 300,000 injured and long term estimates suggest that around 200,000 people will die from cancers and radiological complications.

Perhaps you should put your selves in our shoes before your governments question the actions of another democratic soveriegn nation.

Nuclear Weapons should only be used as a last resort. We feel that a full scale military operation could have reduced the total loss of life. We were willing to contribute close to 15,000 troops for that cause.

The operation is finished now, our swift and decisive strike was done on inteligence work and via the Ministry of Interior at a crucial time, convential forces were out of the question so a un-convential option was used. We decline your offer of troops, your nation is unknown and this is an internal conflict that is none of the outside world except our friends and allies.

Aralen City Airport, 2200 Hours

The regional jet flight boarded, the last flight of the night to Clanon City on the South. The Clandonian Prime Airlines flight CPA-0369 Boeing 667 was used to these frequent flights, like a bus service almost. The 160 passengers and 12 crew members plus the flight crew were settling in their seats, the flight was made up with mostly business passengers, the odd member of the armed forces on leave.

About 15 minutes into the flight, 6 men got up and started shouting and one appeared to pull out a gun. Passengers started screaming as the men ran to the front trying to open the cockpit door as the navigator, the only licensed firearm operator ran across and fired his Glock 18 into one of the hijackers hitting him across the torso, the others responded getting him in the head with a shot. The others rushed the cockpit shooting the pilot through the back of the head. They ordered the co-pilot to take control in the direction of the capital. This was not good.....


2225 Hours, Clanon City ATC

'CPA flight 0369 please respond, you are of course and in the flight path of restricted military airspace please change your course of action'

No response.....

'I repeat again flight 0369'

No response, the young controller called over his supervisor who tried again, he knew this was not good and going to be a very long night..... He picked up the phone, and dialed the number of the Military command on the military side of the airport, General. Lewis answered it, he was was just preparing to go home for the night.

'What!'

The hijacked plane had been controlled by anarchist forces, even after the nuclear bombings inteligence sources suggested the problem had not been eradicated. The only possible thing was done, full alert status had been maintained but many had relaxed.

The General rang up the MoD, because of the time of the day no one knew what to do and after about 20 minutes of ringing around he got someone who got President Urkov from a dinner in the capital for the Business of Clandonia Prime United. The order was given, full military alert as pilots scrambled to their planes 6 SU-30's were scrambled from Clanon City Military Airbase as the entire Chiefs of Staffs were brought in for emergency briefings.

The fighters began their pre-planed escort the plan was to force it down onto the ground at Clanon City military side where the garrision of 80,000 men would be able to settle any hijackings. CPISF counter terrorist forces were being prepared, the next 8 hours would be crucial the plane still had a good 10 hours away from the capital.....

The terrorists had been in communication and had landed peacefully, they demanded the release of prisoners. The military and Interior ministy was having none of that, the aircraft had been parked under an access hatch, special forces had gone up through to the planes avionics hatch got into the plane, the terrorists then proceeded to kill several hostages before blowing up the plane.

There were 26 surviors who were rushed away, in retailtion and to please the dead relatives of those killed all prisoners of anarchist affiliation were promidently shot on live tv beamed across the nation on the satellite news channels with viewing figures in the 14 million. Bombing missions from B-2's went across the border again striking with Storm Shadow MK2's deep into the ground with cluster munitions.
