[Griffis] ...the cat was subsequently rescued by the local fire brigade, but in a bizarre twist of fate, ran up the nearest tree to provide yet another feel-good news story for tomorrow's bulletin.

And now onto sports, the Bostopia F1 team enters a new season in the NS F1GP, and here's a clip from today's press conference.

Sat behind a desk, which had been placed infront of a large white backdrop with the Bostopia F1 logo emblazoned boldly across the centre, was team manager Barry Sleed, and drivers Adam Teraining and Dave Prast.

[Sleed] Bostopia F1 is entering it's third season in the NS F1GP, and we hope to build on last year's successes, and majorly improve on our failures. While finishing third in the constructors championship, we were a whole 100 points behind first placed LEC LivEng Racing, and our top scoring driver, Dave Prast, finished 86 points behind the drivers champion, Troy Wilkins, of the aforementioned LEC LivEng Racing. We've improved during testing, but results on the track aren't given out by testing and pretty little press conferences.

Hopefully this season we'll get a few more podium results, and some 1 - 2 results, but we'll have to wait and see...

[Griffis] We're going to have to cut into the video, as we have breaking news coming out of Squigg, Port Flamerty State, it appears that the cat mentioned moments ago is about to be rescued, let's cross over to those dramatic scenes now, way ahead of schedule!

The SR04 was still a handful after testing and it was lower mid-grid for the race, neither the debonair Turner nor the rookie Stoddard able to cope with an excess of power over grip and the rear sliding out all over the place.

Jeff Jordan for once was not that bothered, he was still concerned about Roger. Even worse was Mrs Stoddard, who seemed to be paranoid about her younger son. "Have you rivetted the nosecone correctly? Is the rear wing on tight? That tyre looks a bit flat..."

Jordan was fed up with it. "Scott, can you please not bring your mother next time?"

"It's OK, boss, she's only here for my debut race. And for the Wentland GP, probably..."

[Griffis] Welcome back to Channel 9 Griffwitness News, Bostopia! We head onto sports news now, and at the Jinkton City Raceway, Quakmybush, Adam Teraining secured 4th place in qualifying, with Dave Prast gaining 8th. Let's cross over now to commentator and host, Jenna Reage. Jenna?

[Reage] Thanks Greg, yes, "Red 5" Adam Teraining in fourth place, a great start to the season, .420 of a second behind first placed man Yoni Carson of Hetz Va Kashet racing. However, both he and Dave Prast, who qualified 8th, will be starting on the dirty side of the track, but the team hopes that upgrades over the winter testing period and also practice starts will boost their chances of moving up the grid. However, we have just got word through that due to a holiday, team manager Barry Sleed won't be around from the 22nd of September through to the 7th of October, missing crucial parts of the season. Back to you in the studio Greg.

Impaler F1 gets off to a shaky start!

Impaler F1, the Formula 1 team run by Vlad the Impaler, has got off to a shaky start in the qualifying for the Grand Prix of Quakmybush at Jinkton City Raceway.

Alexander Hinton, the second driver, put in a time of 1:18.82 in his flying lap, getting 13th place on the grid. But team leader, Vlad the Impaler, on a very good lap time according to his intermediate timings, spun on the last hairpin, and had to use all of the small run off area to avoid the barrier. He brought the car back on track to finish the lap with a time of 1:20.65, 21st on the grid, the back row.

Good, and Bad starts for Good Car Guys Racing

Jinkton City Raceway in Quakmybush was the setting, engines were raoring with an exciting start to the WGPC 5 season. Cameron Troy had a very bad run finishing over 3 seconds off the pace. While Grahm Gait finished third in the qualifying. The race will take place tommorrow. This being a home race for both GCG, Gait was very happy about his run, he said "I just hope to get a podium, and maybe even a win to here that Quakmybushian National Anthem over the loudspeakers.

Welcome the CSS Sports Daily Race Desk,I'm Keith Mypastywhitebutt. Our top story is the return of NSGP F1 and our local heroes the Ukrops F1 team. in the off season, some shakeups happened in the orginization as both Maneger Mark Bacon and Lead Driver Whitney Pruitt both left the team, this means that Kyle Schwartz will mange the team while Brendan Langlois will move to full time driver. Our new test driver is a promising SWHF3 Driver named Esben "ORLY" Tipple from Vlavanios.

Now to the race being run in Quackmybush, Here's the #16 of Vlad the Impalier.*Vlad Spins off course and quickly ecorrects the car after doing flying 360* he would only get 21.

Here's Langlois had a lap that was good enough for 5th going but has a high speed off after an appairent suspension failure. His other best lap would get him a back of the pack 19th

Here Local Favorite Cris Weisner, here he is getting 10th on the grid

But Fastest time would go to Yoni Carson of Milchama as he beat out newcomer Willie Burns.

We hope you turnin to CSSRaceTVFor live coverage of the Quackmybush GP

[Nell] And it's a first place for Oleg Hasaganov of Hetz Va Keshet in the first race of the season, and following him for second place is Adam Teraining! That's 15 points for him, and 15 for Bostopia F1! A fine start to the season, but commisserations to Dave Prast of course who went out on the 39th lap after heating problems with the engine - namely, it was on fire.

Post-Race

[Reage] Adam, a move from fourth to second, how did you do it?
[Teraining] Well, the dirty side of the track did affect me, I dropped a place to Hasaganov, but then when Carson dropped out of the race I found myself in fourth and with a good, good chance for a podium finish, so I pushed much harder from there, nearly span out a couple times, but thanks has to go to the guys on the pit-wall for pit strategy getting me up into second.
[Reage] We head out next to the Orean Desert Circuit, a track which takes it's toll on the engines due to all the sand and grit thrown up, will you be worried Dave following your retirement in this race?
[Prast] Not really, my problem was that I unintentionally over-cooked the car, our launch system failed in turning off, meaning I was running on revs we'd want at the start of the race for greater acceleration for significantly longer than the first few corners. It was just a case of let's see how far we can go on this before it gives out, and apparently that's 38 and a half laps round here.
[Reage] Alright, thanks to you both, let's cross back to the studio.

After a strong showing at the GP of Quakmybush, OX-Cola racing headed into Qualifing for the GP of the Heartland and Frank Church qualifed 12th while Rookie William Burns, who finished on the podium at the GP of Quakmybush, spun during qualifing and will start 17th.

William burns had this to say after his spin-out:

I guess I took turn 9 a bit too fast and I just lost it on the dirt. Hopefully we'll turn it around and finish on the podium once again. I'd like to say hi to my Girlfrien Suzie Holden, Suzie see ya after the race baby I love you!!

Frank Church, 8-time Qazox rally champion had this to say after his qualifing run:

This track is more technical than the last one we raced at. I'm a technical racer and witha bit of luck and good pit stops, we'll be there at the end. (reporter asks a question about William Burns) What about William? He's young dumb and full of ***. Ok, he did finish third in his 1st race, but there's still nine races left and anybody can win at anytime. (Different reporter asks another question about William Burns). I thought this was my interview time. Guess not. I'm done for now bye.

Seems there's a bit of friction between the 37-yr old vet and the hot-shot 24-yr old rookie. Hopefully its kept off the track and things will settle down between those two.

*Cyril was disappointed in himself after his stint in Jinkton City, as was the team in general. In qualifying, he let his over enthusiasm and cockiness get the better of him making a mess of every corner he hit. The end qualifying time quickly brought him down to earth. It was bad and the team managers made certain he knew it. So bad in fact that dispite all his best efforts in the following race, all he could manage to do was crawl back up to 8th position.*

8th.

*It was alright for his team mate, Hosannah Jaffe, to perform below par. At only fifteen, simply competing was truely amazing. But not him, not Cyril. As a three time champion of the national Indy circuit, expections were high. Really high. The hopes of the nation were upon him, the pressure was immense.*

*He had to do better. Much better, or he was finished.*

----

*Cyril arrived at the harsh open land of the Orean Desert Circuit a new man. Unlike his previous cavalier attitude leading up to the disappointing Quakmybush GP, the Dracorian racer was uncharacteristically quiet and determined. Time normally wasted on press conferences and parties, had been spent studying circuit schematics and readouts, day and night testing along with continuous team meetings. The night before qualifying saw an exhausted Cyril Heliodoros ordered to bed at the ripe time of 10.15pm. He protested bitterly but his team manager, the wisened old race veteran Alan Johnson, would have none of it. Five minutes later, not even the penetrating chill of the desert night could keep him awake.*

*Cyril Heliodoros woke on the day of qualifying feeling fresh, determined and most importantly, ready. Upon arrival at the pits he was greeted by a sea of red rimmed eyes and gaunt faces, the main exception (of course) his co-driver Hosannah 'Jaffa' Jaffe whom was back to her usual highly spirited, energetic self after all the hystera she had let loose after Quakmybush - over gender confusion by the race commentators more than anything. She currently busied herself handing out coffees and smiles to all the auto-zombies currently inhabiting the NDAL Racing pit garage.*

*Cyril soon learned that the entire team had been disappointed with themselves over their poor showing in the last event. The engineering team had been up all night working on the cars, making tweaks as they saw fit trying to optimise the silver coloured machines as much as possible. Other members of the team had hung around playing whatever part they could. Meanwhile team boss Alan had simply sat back quietly for most of the night, giving out few pointers as he deemed necessary. Cyril didn't quite understand it - after all, it was mostly his fault he did badly not them - but he didn't say anything as he quietly listened to the list of changes to consider. He had enough racing experience to realise blame taking was a futile exercise at this level.*

*The effort paid off in the end. During the test laps Cyril was amazed at how well the car had improved. The balance was perfect, the cornering beautiful, the speed amazing - it was as if all the energy everyone had expelled over the last few days had been directly channelled into his racecar. It was fan-bloody-tasic. Everyone had done their part, now it was all up to Cyril...*

----

*Coming out of the last hairpin, bleeding as little speed as possible the Silver #18 Car of NDAL Racing came thundering down the main straight as it approached the start finish line to begin it's qualifying run. The audience crowding the grandstands weren't paying much attention to the glimmering cart from the faraway, unknown land. They were not expecting much giving the new teams last performance. Coming into the first hairpin, the #18 Car braked at the right moment and turned in well to take the first corner beautifully. The silver dracorian almost floated through the following long sweeping corners and came out gracefully as she came through the tight left hander and accelerated up to the first intermediate. The few people watching murmured, the time was good - the best so far.*

*More people started to take notice as the #18 Car roared down the back straight, handling the speed trap with gentle ease. Coming through the right hander into the left extended sweep more and more people watched in disbelief. Surely this wasn't the same car that struggled through Jinkton City, did they replace the driver? No, it says Cyril Heliodoros in the pamphlet same as before...*

*Coming to the end of the long sweeping right into the second hairpin the 18# Car now had the attention of most if not all of the gathered crowd. Many were thinking, 'this is it. This is where the luck runs out and the dracorian auto shows it's true colours'. No, the 18# car makes an excellent job of the difficult corner. 'How is that possible?' think most people. Going through the next intermediate and the time is astounding, now the crowd is cheering and the commentators are going ballistic. They're all thinking the same thing now: 'Is this a pole setting time?'*

*The last section is a tricky one and everyone is holding their breath. The silver dracorian handles the third hairpin well and lines up perfectly for the next right hander. A smooth transition is performed, and sets up the 18# car for the last hairpin which it rounds superbly. Back onto the main straight the silver #18 car of NDAL Racing - the car that at the start few people cared about - rockets down the main straight and across the finish line to wild cheers and thunderous applause. The final time: 1:19.46, a new track record.*

----

*Later, after the team had settled down after Cyril's amazing run everyone sat back and watched the remainder of the GP pack perform their respective qualifying. For a while, no one could top Cyril's time and the team remained elated, but then Adam Teraining from Bostopia F1 pulled an amazing lap time of 1:19.42. Soon after, Grahm Gait from the Good Car Guys went one step better, and edged ahead with an astonishing 1:19.41, a mere hundredth of a second ahead, to steal pole position.*

*Still, the mood in the NDAL Racing pit was still overjoyed - in one race they had gone from qualifying in a dismal 17th to lofty 3rd, and only five hundredths of a second seperated them from pole position.*

Daniels and Wilkins disappoint in Orean
The home crowd was treated in Orean to a very disappointing performance by the two LEC LivEng Racing drivers, who had also finished poorly in Quakmybush. The home crowd ended up jeering the measly effort of defending champion Troy Wilkins, while Mike Daniels fared no better.

The team, who are using a brand-new car, say they intend to switch back to the same car they raced with last season - the same car that scored points seven races running. Until then, Wilkins and Daniels will have to buck up - word on the street is that Chacoran driver Kristjan Durant, who has impressed for Chacor/Djacor-Rysonia in the Atlantian Oceania Open Wheel Championships, is being scouted by the team.

[Nell] Here comes Adam Teraining onto his flying lap! Well, he's slower than Heliodoros in the first sector...LOOK AT THAT! He's gone fastest through the second sector, he barely lifted the throttle for that corner! Teraining with a super chance to go pole and...THERE IT IS! TERAINING GRABS POLE IN THE GRAND PRIX OF THE HEARTLAND!

[Reage] Adam, a great position for tomorrow's race, qualifying second to a slightly quicker Grahm Gait, who put in a great performance to best you by tenths of a second!
[Teraining] Yeah I saw when I got back to the pitlane...he had a little bit more courage going into the final turn. Then, that extra bit of pushing always means there's the extra chance of falling rather spectacularly off the track. But then, this game is just one massive risk, so credit to the man for taking it.
[Reage] And your chances on winning the race?
[Teraining] The race? Oh, I think I stand a great chance, once again it's the dirty side of the track but I only need to get a good slipstream from Gait and there we go. Of couse, a good pit schedule would help also but I fancy my chances of going first in the Championship.
[Reage] And what about Dave, he didn't do badly.
[Teraining] No, you know, he's on a charge after the last race's disaster, so hopefully the extra motivation will do him good.

Here you see Brendan Langlois going off tack in turn 1; this would cost him dearly as he would place last.

This is the run of local favorite Troy Wilkins, he only Qualified 8th. As for his teammate he did slightly qualiying in 5th.

As for our own Chris Weisner He will be starting 4th after a flawless lap in the heat of Oren.

Be shure to turn into to CSSRace TV for Live NSF1GP Coverage

[Nell] AND CAR NUMBER 6 DAVE PRAST CROSSES THE FINISHING LINE! PRAST WINS FOR BOSTOPIA F1! Six seconds down the line is Grahm Gait and THIRD FOR ADAM TERAINING! A whole TEN seconds ahead of the LEC Racing Car!

On the podium, the two Bostopia F1 drivers stood to attention as the Bostopian anthemed was played by the band at the Orean Desert Circuit, before the trophies were presented.

[Nell] Before we go down to Jenna Reage, let's take a look at the tables. In the drivers tables, Adam Teraining is on 27 points, 2 ahead of Grahm Gait. Third is Hasaganov and our very own Dave Prast, who are both tied on 20 points each. In the Constructors Championship, Bostopia F1 hold a 21 point lead over Good Car Guys racing team. Alright, down to Jenna.

[Reage] Thanks Bryan! Yes, I'm here with Dave Prast and Adam Teraining! Dave, a great performance, coming from 7th on the grid!
[Prast] Ah yeah, you know, I felt like I'd driven a great race before I took the lead. Really, the only driver who gave me any trouble was Adam, I think that red number 5 has gone to his head!
[Teraining] Hah, that or I don't like being overtaken.
[Reage] Friendly rivalry there between the two drivers. Of course, the next race on the calender is the Northern Badlands Raceway in United Transylvania, a very fast circuit, any thoughts on that?
[Teraining] Yeah, you know, lots of long straights and that really helps the LEC guys, their car is very fast on the straights, so we'll just have to make sure we stay ahead through corners and pit strategy where they don't have such an advantage.
[Reage] Alright, well, that's all we have time for, let's hand back to the studio.

Goddeffroy Grand Prix had another good news/bad news race at the Grand Prix of The Heartland.

In good news: Stephen Visdomini followed up his sixth place start with a fifth place finish. This gives him eight points and a good 10th place in the standings, with plenty of racing to go.

In bad news: Dominic Seraine followed up his 20th place start with a 18th place finish, a full lap down.

"We really need to put together two good races from both of our cars at the same time," said team owner Peter Goddeffroy. "We've got the ability to do well and compete with Bostopia of LivEng, but we're still working out the new team kinks. Maybe next time."

Bob Turner kept up what he laughingly called his championship challenge with a consistent run to 7th. A fairly uneventful race between Weisner and the erratic Impaler meant he clocked up some potentially useful points.

But the main attention had been diverted to Scott Stoddard. An awful practice left him on the back row of the grid and following a near-stall at the start he completed lap 1 in 22nd and last place.

Then came the comeback.

Seraine was the first to be passed. Then Lafluer who had spun. Burns was a piece of cake as he had mechanical difficulties and dived for the pits on lap 4. Langlois was next, an audacious move into turn 4, and later that lap Hinton. And then Hasaganov and Troy and a load of others.

By half-distance Stoddard was 13th. The guys at the head of the field were a lot better and more difficult to pass but after a tense wheel-to-wheel battle with Church for 4 laps Stoddard pushed past at the final corner. Church lost it in defending his place and was out. Carson and Lacroix were battling with each other and Stoddard was getting closer and closer and closer until on lap 54 they caught the slowing car of Mike Daniels. The Hetz and NDA cars hesitated as they came up to a slow turn but Stoddard took his chance and banzaid his way past all three in a phenomenal move. Up to 10th and the remaining laps were spent battling with the pair as Daniels retired - but Scotty held on for a remarkable top 10 placing.

Stellar lie 5th in the table, despite having a car described as "porcine".

Starting at the back of the pack is never good and on lap 32, Frank Church proved why as he ran intot he back for fellow OX-Cola racer, William Burns. The accident took out Church and only 19 laps later, Burns was gone as well, due to engine problems caused by the Lap 32 wreck. Neither racer was made available for comment after the race.

LEC LivEng Racing confirm Durant as race driver
LEC® LivEng Racing™ today confirmed that Kristjan Durant will race at least two races for the team, in Qazox and Rorysville, in place of Mike Daniels. This comes after the Chacor-DR team in the Atlantian Oceania Open Wheel Championships confirmed that Janislav Modry would take Durant's Chacor-DR racing seat for two races.

The Chacor-DR statement in full reads:
"We are pleased with Kristjan's performances so far this season, although there is room for improvement. We can confirm that we have been contacted by the World Grand Prix Championship team LEC® LivEng Racing™ about releasing Kristjan from his races for the Chacor-DR team.

"While we have not yet issued a response to LEC LivEng Racing, Kristjan has indicated that he'd like to take a short break from AOOWC racing to carefully consider his future, and we respect his decision. Therefore, Janislav Modry will provisionally take over the Chacor-DR racing seat for two races, at Portland and Road America, afterwhich we will again evaluate our options."

The LEC LivEng Racing team did not issue a press statement, although Durant's agent, Michael Bagh, told some awaiting journalists outside Durant's home in Schimpol that Durant had "in principle, agreed a deal to drive for LEC LivEng Racing for two races. Kristjan thanks the Chacor-DR team for agreeing to let him take two races off, and has confirmed that he will race again for his nation later in the AOOWC if needed." Daniels was unavailable for comment.

Amazing what a smidge of wind tunnel work could do. A slight alteration of the rear venturi and the back end of the Stellar was sticking to the Northern Badlands raceway like it was painted on.

Scotty Stoddard was fastest in the warm-up and Bob Turner second. "Well," thought the veteran, "let's see what happens when the pressure's on."

As soon as qualifying opened Turner set a mesmeric time that was quicker than his warm-up time. Scott Stoddard was not going to let that get him down - and he promptly went off on his first flying lap at the second hairpin.

Turner whittled away at his time and set a pole when he stopped the clocks at 53"21, but Stoddard could not get a lap free from traffic once his car had been repaired and once again he was stuck on the back row.

"Well," said Turner in the press conference, "a good old 'un will always beat a good young 'un. Now, where's Miss Transylvania?"

TCR car almost ready for next season
Team uses unentered season for aerodynamic development

Twin Crescent Racing, off for the season after windtunnel tests found their aerodynamic package to lead to catastrophic loss of downforce at speed, has spent the fifth season of F1GP as a developmental season, choosing not to enter any races while a new aerodynamics package is developed.

Testing in late August found that the front bodywork of the TCR car, speculated to have been called the TCR 450, would allow a massive buildup of air under the body of the car, which, had it been tested in scale, would have led to the car either being entirely uncontrollable or even flipping over on straightaways when speeds approached 130 mph. The TCR 450 featured a slightly widened raised nose, which, despite what was thought to be positive airflow characteristics around the side bodywork of the vehicle, contributed to the excess air buildup that would overpower the downforce of the car and cause the front tires to physically lift off the ground, endangering the driver by compromising his ability to control the vehicle. Efforts at modification proved to be difficult, with TCR drivers James KeFlinger and Scott LeCroix being unable to enter the season. All this comes while the engine for the vehicle, developed all throughout the previous season, had reached maturity and was capable of peak horsepower ratings above 1100 hp, out of a 2.4 l engine. TCR's budget, rumored to be several hundred million dollars, seemed finally capable of providing the grunt of a GEM engine with an aerodynamice AE body shell, but as such problems arose, the team has put off the season.

TCR, when their vehicle has finished development, will petition to enter the remaining races of the season, again for developmental purposes. It is likely that TCR's standings would not be recorded, as a mid-season entry is unprecedented and may infact not be allowed. In it's four seasons of F1GP racing, TCR has finished no worse than fourth in the Constructer's championship.

STELLAR RACING TO PROTEST STEWARDING

Bob Turner has said he no longer considers the World Grand Prix Championship a sport after he was penalized for blocking Adam Teraining in the Grand Prix of United Transylvania.

"I raced my lap without blocking anyone intentionally," said Turner, speaking in front of video screens showing on board footage from Teraining's car of the lap 60 incident.

"I love the sport, I love the fans coming here, a lot of them from Wentland, but I don't consider it a sport any more."

Turner insisted that he did not block Teraining deliberately and said that if he was penalized for what happened this time then it would likely lead to problems in the future.

"If you see the video, then if this is blocking intentionally we will have a lot of problems from now on in racing."

Team owner Jeff Jordan was equally scathing.

"I don't understand the penalty, because we don't feel we impeded him," Jordan said. "This is a circuit where we are always trying to get a tow and being behind Turner so late was an advantage. Teraining was 100 metres behind Turner, so he got a nice tow, and I don't see it as a hindrance.

"I looked at Bostopia's telemetry, and Teraining gained time on the back straight and was quicker into the final corners than before. He lifted in the middle of the corner. To me, it looked like a mistake but he claimed he was losing downforce."

[Nell] TERAINING WINS! HE'S WON! TWO WINS IN A ROW FOR BOSTOPIA F1! PRAST IN THE LAST RACE, TERAINING IN THIS RACE! ABSOLUTE BRILLIANCE! Jaffe second, Church third, Seraine fourth, Hasaganov fifth and a sixth place for Dave Prast! Bostopia F1 with a PHENOMENAL start to the season, Teraining leads the Drivers standings over Gait by 16 points, and Bostopia F1 are ahead of Good Car Guys by a whole 38 points, that's almost two race wins in the Constructors Championship!

Post-Race Statement

The Bostopia F1 team are significantly confused at the decision from the stewards. The data from the race shows no blocking either way, as in a racing situation the driver infront would obviously attempt to block the car behind from overtaking, and as Bostopia F1 understands it, only weaving to prevent the car behind from getting past is illegal. However, as Teraining was catching Turner with a view of lapping him, then the stewards may have felt Turner did not get off the racing line quick enough for Teraining to pass. Although as it is, Teraining had to pit again anyway and therefore, Turner was able to un-lap himself without impeding Adam Teraining. We have spoken to Adam, and he has said that he did not feel he was significantly slowed by Turner. Adam did point out that he did indeed have to slow down, as all drivers do when coming up to a slower car, in order to stop them crashing into the backmarker, but this obviously did not affect Adam's race to the point where he lost position on-track.

Jeff Jordan was still incandescent about the penalty applied to Turner and decided to take matters up with the governing body.

"It's simple," said Mos Meisley, the President. "Stoddard would not get off line when being lapped. So we gave him a drive-through."

"YOU PULLED TURNER IN!!!" expostulated Jordan. "Not Stoddard. They were running together cos Stoddy had an off...Turner was LEADING!!!!"

"Er, what do you mean..."

"Look, the blue flags were being waved for Stoddard and you penalized Turner!"

"No we did not. We penalized Stoddard. We said "penalty for number seven", which is Stoddard."

"NO IT ISN'T!!!! ROGER Stoddard had 7 last year. This year it's SCOTT Stoddard in number 8..."

"Ah. Er."

*The Orean Desert Qualifer seemed almost too good to be true... and it was, in the end.*

*Cyril had gained a fairly clean start, managing to avoid the normal mess in the first corner. From that point onwards, it was a fairly uneventful race as most drivers concenrated on navigating the difficult circuit. Drivers were being so careful that it wasn't until lap 32 when the first retirement occured. The second didn't occur until about twenty laps later on lap 51. Most important of all however, Cyril had maintained his third spot position. He was in for a podium finish.*

*Dave Prast from Bostopia F1 was on a late charge but he was being followed closely by hometown favourites Mike Daniels and Troy Wilkins from LEC LivEng Racing. Having a better eye for the local conditions, the LEC LivEng Racing team had opted to leave their cars out when all others had gone into the pits. Only Bostopia F1 decided to take a similar risk, leaving Dave Prast out on the track while Adam Teraining pitted. The risk had paid off however, and now all three drivers were charging through the field thanks to their fresher rubber.*

*Cyril was on his own when the battling trio began to bear down on him. He cursed bitterly and knuckled down for the onslaught - he was not looking forward to giving up third. A few laps in and Dave Prast was all over him ducking and weaving, probing for a passing point while behind him the LivEng cars closed in on the racing Bostopian. Eventually Prast proved to be too good and managed to cut in on the tight left hander right before crossing the first intermediate. Cyril was now in 4th place.*

*As soon as Dave Prast had made it through he rocketed away from the silver dracorian, the grip advantage very apparent. Immediately the first of the LivEng cars was menacing Cyril Heliodoros aggressively trying to get around the upstart preventing him from keeping with the Bostopian competitor. But Cyril refused to budge - there was no way in hell he was going to give up another race position close to the end of the race.*

*Then, on lap 54 disaster struck.*

*Leading into the fourth apex Mike Daniels eventually lost patience with the New Dracorian and made a highly aggressive lunge down the inside forcing Cyril wide. Not about to give up the #18 started to move across to close the door.*

*It was at this point that the back end started to let go. Feeling the rear beginning to slide, Cyril desperately tried to pull back but by then it was too late. The car was already in a skid... right in front of the accelerating Daniels. Mike hit the brakes hard as the world in front of him turned all silver but the LivEng car could not stop in time and collided with the side of the NDAL vehicle, sending both cars off into the grass.*

*The collision sent Cyril reeling as the silver dracorian was violently shoved aside and spun about. For what seemed like hours, he sat back in a daze as the world spun around him. He started to feel sick, his vision replaced by stars. In moments however, reality rushed back him and he found him in the middle of a grassy field, face to face with an angry crowd. He had taken out one of their heroes.*

*He didn't think on it for his mind was in it's own state of rage. He had been sent off by some idiot driving on his opponents part and now his race was ruined. Reving the 18# car high to prevent a stall, Cyril pulled the damaged car back on to the track to salvage what was left of the race.*

*Video footage would later show how the #2 car of Mike Daniels had collided with the side of the #18 car of Cyril Heliodoros. The collision had occured into the side of the #18 car which was why it was able to continue at all, but the #2 car had hit from the front messing up the delicate steering and suspension setup. His race had ended. After much speculation the mishap was written off as a racing incident and no action on the part of the stewards. The local race fans were not pleased.*

*Once things had quietened down, team manager Alan Johnson had gone over the LEC LivEng Racing to apologise for the way the race had ended. Cyril however, was not sorry for in his mind he was the victim not that wildcard Daniels. He instead spent a lot of time brooding over what could've been.*

*This mood hadn't lifted by the time the Grand Prix of United Transylvania rolled around. First he made a number of key errors in qualifying, putting him in a mediocre 13th. Then, shortly into the race he spun out into a wall putting an end to his race.*

*Yet for the moment the team didn't care. Their young innocent upstart - Hosannah Jaffe - qualified 2nd... and stayed there. Where Cyril, a three-times national champion, had failed Hosannah had succeeded. The fifteen year old girl from the north had given the team it's first podium...*

*Or as Hosannah put in her podium speech - "YAY!"*

next time i get online I'll make a post about Twin Crescent wishing to participate in the rest of the season during practices and qualifying, the new aero bodywork that won't give spectacular Mercedes CLR flips, etc.

The 1st ever GP of Qazox came to Qazox National GP Raceway and the Ox-Cola Racers didn't dissapoint the home crowd as Frank Church and William Burns will start 4th and 8th respectively. Its hopeful that one of these two drivers will win at home and hopefully they will finish 1-2. However the tow teammates are still reusing to talk with each other over the incident that occured at the GP of of the Heartland. It is expected then that both drivers will do anything legally and maybe illegally to win at the other's expense.

AWFUL Just Awful. Despite starting in the top 8 bothof OX-Cola Racers failed to live up to the homecrowd hype and let personal differences get in the way of victory. On lap 24, Frank Church seeminly delibrately crashed into William Burns as both racers entered turn 5. Burns smacked into the retaining barrier, and was out of the race. Church however dented the left front and only 11 laps later his engine blew and had to withdraw from the race. All in all a very disapointing day in front of the 113,000 fans who came to see the 1st GP race in Qazox and they way both drivers acted they were lucky the fans didn't stone them to death.

Well with the GPRV upon us let's take a look at the newest cars that our drivers finally get to use in a season. The new RVMSF1-T3 features a much improved Engine that is alot more reliable than the T2 it's aero package is top notch. with that said J.S. Lafluer used the T3 to it's best at the Shutt Island Raceway in Qualification taking him to the 2nd Row in spot #4 hopefully his performance in the Race itself will be better than last week. as for his teammate Jaques Lacroix struggled with the new car and it showed as he wound up in the final row in spot #21 well see if he can adjust to the Course and climb up into the points as he did earlier in the season

well see you again after the GP of RV from Shutt Island

Will Durant permanently replace Daniels?
Following Janislav Modry's crash out of the Road America race in the AOOWC, questions have surfaced once again about Kristjan Durant's future. Durant is set to leave the LEC® LivEng Racing™ team after the Grand Prix of Rorysville, having been signed to only a two-race contract. However, Durant has indicated a willingness to stay on; indeed, his recent performances have been nothing short of unexpected.

However, with Modry's crash out of the race in the AOOWC, Durant faces a big decision to make. Chacor-DR are set to recall their star driver for the race in Toronto, with three races on the cards for Durant. Rumours now include that Durant will turn his nation down to permanently replace Mike Daniels, as well as Daniels taking the third car. However, it is almost certain that Daniels will race with Troy Wilkins as a team at the Grand Prix of Liverpool England at Cyclonesville, which will be the first time that track has been utilised as the nation's Grand Prix circuit.

It's a guessing game... and ultimately, only Durant guesses right.

Welcome to CSSRaceNet I'm Noah Sheeshavingmybaby!

And in today's headlines NF1GP Qualifying from the Schutt Island Race Coruse. This will NSF1GP's first ever stop on a public street course, and boy di it through fits for the drivers.especially witth the wet conditions during qualifying

Here Scott Stoddard crashes on his second lap and will start dead last.

Similar situation for UF1 Driver Chris Weisner as he had troubles with steering, but it would be found he had a suspension problem causing it.

Cameron Troy seen here put's down a lap of 1:46.871

He would almost loose it though to Rookie William Burns who laid down a lap of 1:46.872

as for the race things look to be better in Rorysville as the rain has left and tempurtures will be warmer. As for the race, what happens happens

From hero to zero. After his pole lap at Qazox everyone wanted a piece of Scott Stoddard. A rookie getting the fastest lap. Especially as after various fraught practice sessions he generally started from the back.

At the GP itself he nearly blew it at the start, getting bogged down and reaching the first corner sixth. But he kept it together for the remainder of the race and scored his best-ever finish. Nearly on the podium. Only a few seconds behind Wilkins and Carson.

But the press was not interested. The flavour of the month was Cyril Heliodoros. A rookie winning a race.

Scott set out to rectify matters at a moist Schutt Island. His first lap was very decent indeed. His second - well, he never finished his second. He stuffed it into one of the barriers at Tricorn House Corner. The car could not be repaired for the remainder of qualifying, which was highly annoying, as the three seconds everyone else found from their first laps would have seen him on the front couple of rows. But that's Stoddard; mercurial and erratic.

Bob Turner, tache bristling after being outclassed at Qazox, wasn't much better off. The slow street circuit did not suit his understeering style at all and he struggled to make the top 20. However he has assured fans that he has a special strategy for the race - will this make up ground?

Grand Prix of Rorysville

They had to go to a 1/1000th of a second, and so by 2/1000th of a second, (1:46.871 to 1:46.873) William Burns, after a dismal performance in Qazox, recovered and will start on the outside 1st row. Franck Church, also coming off a dismal performance, will start 9th, with a qualifing time of 1:47.17, only .30 seconds from the pole. With so many starting places being determined by 1/1000th of seconds, this race is shaping up to be one of the best of the season.

Grand Prix of Rorysville

For the first time all season, both of Ox-Cola's drivers finished the race and finished in the top-ten. William Burns who started 2nd, finished 5th, despite leading all but the last two laps when he was passed by Yoni Carson, who won the race. Frank Church who started 9th, dropped back to 17th at one point, but rallied enough to finish in 8th place. While neither driver has a chance to win the title, they both are fighting for a top-ten finish which will add 1,000,000 Zaqs to their earnings.

[Reage] Adam, you felt you had problems with the car the last couple races, but now you're back up to first on the podium - are the problems sorted?
[Teraining] You know, I do. We're coming up to some tracks that are very good for us, especially with our home Grand Prix coming up soon, so I'm very hopeful the mechanics can keep doing a fine job and setting the car perfectly as to how I need it.
[Reage] You're 25 points ahead of Troy Wilkins and 30 ahead of Dave Prast in the drivers championship - can you stay there?
[Teraining] You know what, I really think this is our year. All I have to do is keep myself infront of the pack position and points wise for the remainder of the season, but of course there's many races left yet, so it won't be as easy as I say.
[Reage] And could Dave perhaps give Bostopia F1 a one two and help toward a Constructors Championship?
[Teraining] Oh definately, he's a great talent.
[Reage] Thanks Adam, back to the studio.

William Burns, WGPC rookie continues to impress with his 3rd top 5 finish of the season, and has moved into 6th place in the overall standings with 4 races left. While Adam Teraining is running away with the title, Burns finds himself only 11 points out of second place and with more consistent finishes over the final races, he could become one of the few rookies to crash the Top three overall. On the other side, Frank Church DNF once again, causing some members of the Qazoxian media to wonder just what is going wrong over in his pits. The next race is the GP of Wentland at the historic Petterham Track.

[Nell] With four races left including this one, Adam Teraining must therefore keep earning the points. With 4 races left, Troy Wilkins could finish on 126 points if he wins every race. Adam could finish on 151 if he continues his winning ways. Adam needs to be 41 points ahead of Troy Wilkins following the Bostopian Grand Prix to win the title. Could he win the World Drivers Championship in his hometown, Fort Boston, our capital? It's setting up for a magnificent end to the season, and it'll all be shown live here on Channel 9.

More bad news for Adam is that he qualified 10th in his "Red Number 5" today, with Dave Prast managing only 19th, here at the Grand Prix of Wentland, coming from Petterham! We'll bring you full coverage of the race tomorrow.

There are two figures to remember folks...41 points...Channel 9. We now cross live to your local studio for a news update.

History was made earlier today at the GP of Wentland as a Qazoxian driver will start in the pole for the first time. Frank Church won the pole just edging out Yoni Carson. In an interview after qualifing, Church was qouted as saying "Finally got all them bugs out. and Hopefully they went into the other cars. If they did, then something truly historic win happen."

William Burns, the other Ox-Cola racer, qualified 12th and expects to move up fast during the race. With only a few races left both drivers need as many points as possible to earn the Top-ten bonuses.

As Scott Stoddard exited from his car, having broken the crankshaft on his third qualifying lap, some cruel Wents threw the odd copper farthings into the cockpit as a comment on the cut-price nature of the SR04. It had not been a successful model and for the home Grand Prix the best qualifying spot was ninth.

"See," claimed Jeff Jordan, "we should not have left Davenant."

All they could do was fuel Stoddard to the max to try to gamble on tactics. Turner would have to pray for rain...

..They come through the Railway bend and Frank church has the lead with only a quarter of a lap to go and....Frank Church was won the Grand Prix of Wentland!!!! Truly a historic day here at Petterham as Qazoz' own Frank Church was won the race and becomes the 1st Qazoxian driver to win a Grand Prix race. William Burns comes in 6th, just edging out Scott Stoddard...

...Now with 3 races left in the season, William Burns now sits in 5th place overall and Franck Church is 7th. As for the Constuctor's champion ship, Ox-Cola racing is now tied for 2nd place with LEC LivEng Racing. So far this rookie team has shown they could be a force to reckon with in the future.

"...and Turner is past another one...these damp conditions are REALLY playing into the veteran's hands...that puts him into third, behind Impaler, and the crowd is going berserk....

"...oh, there's a spinner...and it's the IMPALER!!! Off into the barrier and the rear wing's gone...Turner is into SECOND...can he win his home Grand Prix?"

Alas no. Frank Church drove safely and maturely and translated his pole into a Grand Prix victory. In an echo of the forthcoming Women's World Cup final it was Qazox and Wentland in the top two...and further down the field another battle between the two as Burns squeezed past a running-out-of-fuel Scott Stoddard who lost two places on the last lap trying to eke out those last drops of fuel. Fortunately Burns' drastic dart to get past the coasting Stoddard on the last straight fazed the following LaFleur and Weisner who missed the chance to demote Scotty further.

Mike Daniels injured in race
The LEC® LivEng Racing™ team issued a statement following the Grand Prix of Wentland, in which Troy Wilkins finished on the podium to help lift the team to second in the constructors' championship, announcing that Mike Daniels had suffered a suspected broken wrist and would be out for the remainder of the season.

"It's a blow to Mike and to the team, and Mike is very upset that this accident might have permanently cost him his race seat," Daniels' agent was quoted as saying. The official team release is as follows:

"LEC® LivEng Racing™ World Grand Prix Championship Team Press Release
Issued following the Grand Prix of Wentland at Petterham
Regarding injury to Mike Daniels

The LEC® LivEng Racing™ team confirms that our number two driver, Mike Daniels, has suffered a suspected broken wrist during the race at Petterham. During Lap 61 he radioed the pits to complain about severe pain in his left wrist, which team doctors diagnosed after the race as a broken wrist. Mike has been airlifted to the nearest hospital, where he will be observed before being transferred back to Liverpool England.

With this drastic occurrence, the team confirms that Mike will take no further part in this season, with Tim Owens, third driver for the team, taking over for the next race. Kristjan Durant will finish the last two races of the season in Cyclonesville and at Ashford.

We wish Mike all the best for a speedy recovery, and would like to assure him of his future in the team."

The recent successes of Ox-Cola Racing continued as Both Frank Church and William Burns will start the GP of Bostopia in 4th and 6th respectively. With only a few races left, both drivers seem locks for the top 10 with William only mathmatically alive for the overall title. The constructors title is still within reach, and if these two drivers have truly settled thier differences, then Ox-Cola's debut will be a highly successful one.

Tough day for Ox-Cola racing as both drivers had top 6 starting positions, but a caution flag came out when both were in the pits andwere lapped. William Burns finished the race a lap down and with 5 laps to go, Frank Church crashed out. So twith 2 races left, William Burns is now in 7th place and Frank Church is in 9th, both eliminated from the title chase. Ox-Cola racing is still alive, but barely in the constructors championship, now placed 5th.

Whoa.. The GP of Liverpool England came and went and neither of Ox-Cola's racer did well. Frank Church seemed to re-find that gremlin lurking in his engine and he only lasted 44 laps. William Burns wasn't much better, as he finshed in 10th. With only one race left, Burns currently sits in 8th while Church is in 10th in the overall standings. The constuctor's race is over as Bostopia F1 has clinched the title, but Ox-Cola Racing is in 7th place with 2nd place overall still a small possibility.

Wilkins concedes title race
Troy Wilkins, fresh off a podium at his home race, has shockingly conceded the driver's title to Adam Teraining of Bostopia F1. Wilkins, who can only win with at least a second placed finish in Casari and hope that Teraining does not score more than 1 (for 2nd) or 6 (for first) points, made the remarks at the post-race press conference, where Bostopia F1 celebrated their first team title.

"The team are obviously disappointed. First few races the car seriously underperformed, then we got Kristjan [Durant] in and he did well. The team isn't happy, we know that we could well have won a third title had the car been great from the get-go.

"Adam drove a terrific race today and was unlucky to crash. I've spoken to Kristjan, and it appears that his unfortunate retirement was a gearbox failure... and that's yet another thing for the team to work on.

"I'd like to congratulate Adam. I know I'm still mathematically within reach of defending my title, but full credit to Adam who's been brilliant all season. He truly deserves the title."

Too late in the season the Stellar had come good. Bob Turner picked up another Grand Prix victory thanks to a fuel gamble and looked good for a season-best third overall, with the Jordan team seeking another runner-up spot.

Casari had not gone well in qualifying, however, with Turner and Stoddard circulating together to try to slipstream each other into a decent time. It did not work. Especially when Stoddard tried to outbreak Turner in the final corner and both lost half a second.

Turner was cool in interviews afterwards - "a young pup clawing at the old lion" - but cooler still in the team truck. Indeed, he did not say a word in the entire debrief whilst Stoddard tried to apologize for four full minutes.

Tension in the Stellar camp come race day...

Congrats to Adam Teraining and Bostopia F1 on their championship, and hopefully we'll see you all, plus some more, for WGPC6, whenever we manage to get around to it.

The season is now over and for a new-team, with a rookie and an old-veteran, Ox-Cola racing did well in its first attempt in F1. Frank church finished the Gp of Casari in 3rd, jumping him past William burns into 8th on the season points total. Ox-Cola racing finished 6th place, beating out such teams as: Good Car Guys and Mooseledge Systems Racing. In fact, Ox-cola racing was one of three teams to palce both drivers in the top ten. Bostopia F1 and Hetz va Keshet were the others. All in all, a good debut performance, and with some luck, a contender for next years title.
