The Gnomes of Az-cz are glad to announce the beginning of the first Nations States Kleptochase Championships. We thank the eight nations that have signed up and welcome them to the competitions. We hope that they enjoy their experience here and decide to compete in future events.

Before proceeding to the actual knockout round we will have seven group matches. Like any group matches, these matches will be played until their is a winner. However we will be keeping track of the replays. For chasers with more wins than losses the more replays a chaser has the worse he or she will be ranked. For players with more losses than wins, the more replays a chaser has the better he or she will be ranked. In other words, replays will push you towards the middle. However a chaser with five wins will always be ranked ahead of a chaser with four wins, and so on. The results of the seven group matches will be tallied and used to determine seeding for the knockout round. The top 32 chasers, regardless of group, will advance to the knockout round.

Here are the groups:

Groups A and B will compete in Az-cz City, Groups C and D in Mil-Bax and Groups E and F in Es-Ef. The knockout rounds will all take place in Az-cz City. Here is the schedule for the knockout rounds:

Round of 32 Technique
Round of 16 Strength
Quarterfinals Speed
Semifinals Maze
Finals Maze

There will be no reseeding after each round so that the winner of the team seeded 1st and the team seeded 32nd and the winner of the team seeded 16 and the team seeded 17th will meet in the second round, no matter what.

As a special bonus, the eight chasers who advance to the quarterfinals will automatically earn an exemption for all events on the Kleptochase tour for one year, and the other eight chasers who advance to the round of 16 will earn exemption to all of the majors. The 24 chasers who advance to the knockout stages but fail to make the quarterfinals will all also be invited to take part in tour qualifying.

Also, in light of incidents that occurred in the AOKCC, we want to remind chasers that they are not allowed to purposefully break the course, nor are they allowed to leave the marked course areas and travel outside of those areas. As you have been warned any chaser seen doing so will forfeit their match and multiple incidences will lead to stiffer pendings, at the discretion of the Kleptochase Rules committee.

We wish all chasers an enjoyable experience and good luck. Remember "steal from those with, give to those without"

OOC: It's probably a good idea to refresh yourself with the rules by reading over the wiki again. Kleptochase Wiki (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Kleptochase) Feel free to take some liberty in describing the obstacles, traps and locks you encounter during the chases. As for the scorinating schedule, the first matches will be posted at 3:00 pm Japan time August 30. That would be 6:00 am UTC I believe. Each match will then be posted as close to 24 hours after the previous round as possible.

Also TLC and Islands of Qutar have improperly distributed points. TLC racer Nathan Keane has 10 points too many. Those must be removed. And Qutar, Jack Thursby has 10 points too many in technique, please move those 10 points to another category or categories.

Joshua Trengrove against Starblaydi Thoror Azrantahim, in the first Speed matchup. From what has been seen of the Starblaydi national team. Well, they suck. Joshua is expected to make a great start against the Starblaydi Dwarf and wether he can translate his 6 out of 6 wins in the group stage to the NSKCC, The hopes of the nation are on Joshua's shoulders. The only question is can by the end of the group stage, in the round of 32, can he get past the Technique hurdle.

Peter Harden, up against Az-Czer Slow-Bro. Well, Speed is not this gnome's forte. It is expected even Peter Harden, who finished 3rd last in the Atlantian Oceania rankings would win against this slow poke of a chaser. This may be the start of a new re-emergence for the Bazalonian chaser.

Maria Heatherton is to face Mr Speed, Milchaman David Kinch who is expected to dominate the Bazalonian in the first course. Maria who only managed 1 win out of the 5 in the AOKCC group stage is expected to continue on in her losing streak.

Andrew Rather, to face another Starblaydi Dwarf Nurri Tezbaktahir, it is unsure exactly the result of this matchup as the dwarf has shown his speed abilities in the AOKCC, which happen to be slightly better than Andrew's but then Andrew has been working very hard since then and we are unsure exactly how much progress has been made.
The Mice of Miceland
30-08-2006, 04:48
Runner SprintMouse arrived in Az-Cz City for the NSKCC, looking at the schedules he looked at his first opponent, Kiyana Yishala from Liverpool England. Not even realising that the Liverpool England team had a kleptochase competition, he managed to find some times and results of Kiyana he scoffed at the chaser, "This guy will be easy. Talk about this so called 'human superiority'. I'll run rings around him." thought the mouse to himself as he arrived in Az-Cz.

Lumber StrongMouse was in Mil-Bax he was to face Pavel Kiernovic from the Lowland Clans, not having had any experience or knowledge of the people from the Lowland Clans Lumber StrongMouse just assumed they would be a cake-walk for him. Going the perfect 6 in the AOKCC group stage most people where and he didn't expect Pavel to be any different.

Andreas SteepleMouse, also in Mil-Bax, was to face Vilitian Ootaniz Riiatzor, Andreas performed quite will in the AOKCC but not as good as Lumber or Runner. But still Andreas is still expecting to do well against the Vilitian as Andreas managed to see the Vilitian in action during the AOKCC.

Peter SneakyMouse, the only mouse in Es-Ef. Facing the Milchaman Schreider Martin. The only course that is expected to be close for the mice in their dominance in Kleptochase. Schreider Martin and Peter SneakyMouse are about the same skill level and this one could go either way.

Damn what a big pool. That was the first thing Kochenon thought as he prepped for his new challenge. This was merely more practice for him before the tour as despite a sub par record in qualifiers he had done quite well and actually advanced to the quarterfinals where he lost. But that did not matter as he qualified for the tour. Now he looked at the group:

Joshua Hoffman Quakmybush- Well AO man. How did he do in the AOKCC? 2-4-5 in the group stages, ok and a loss in double octos. Will only do worse, probably one win.
Tobias Churchill Lowland Clans- He got a late start. Should Win.
Kiyana Yishala Liverpool England- Look at last.
Morgan Sullivan Qutar- Look up.
Viliama Riistamii Vilita - Another AOKCC chaser, but he is from Vilita so let me check, 4-2-1, that's good, uh oh and in the playoffs? He lost in octos. So there we are, my main competition.
Runner SprintMouse Miceland- Wait, I remember him. Hopefully I don't get him on speed nope, few! now time to see how he did. Another quarterfinalist. This group wasn't getting any easier.
Sid Vaine Tocapa - Well maybe actually it just did. Another should be win.
Marty Kochenon Milchama

That meant of course that Marty should have 5 maybe 6 wins. That should be enough for the top 32.

---------------------------------------

Respect was on the agenda for Davy Kinch last time. This time though the agenda was different as he needed to actually win and maybe qualify for at least the majors if not more. With only one speed, his real strength Kinch needed something in technique but that would depend on his opponents. So he decided to look:

Group D
Davy Kinch Milchama
Ootaniz Riiatzor Vilita - He's fucking Vilitan. And more importantly he lost to Marty in octos. That meant one thing, time to check up on him and his strat. This would be a tough match.
Khazrar Meterrzibarn Starblaydia- In any sport he would be scared but all Starblaydians sucked at kleptochase. They had been lucky to get one chaser to the final. He was sure he could win.
The Pink Panther Qutar- Isn't that a diamond? Well I'll steal the diamond along with winning the race.
Alan Cheescer Raging Penguins - Oh s---. Somebody from Raging Penguins. He knew that he would probably expect a sword fight or quite possibly a gun battle before that chase got done. He knew sneaking across those weapons was a good idea.
Rudolf Giessen Quakmybush- One of the sucky Quakian chasers. This of course meant that Kinch could capatalize. A win would be good here.
Andreas SteepleMouse Miceland- He did get to octos before losing a very good Alfred St. Jacque. He should be tough.
Maria Heatherton Bazalonia- She sucked in the AOKCC and shouldn't be expected to improve much here.

Well that amounted to 5 of 7 chasers in the AOKCC. Meaning a lot of good matches, Kinch still knew if he took 5 that would mean cleaing and that's all he wanted.

----------------------------------------
Martin was mad, and with reason. He had a 4-2 record and was ready to get somewhere in outrounds. Then it all went away when he faced Iololai Morai from Vilita. He was determined for revenge and MORAI WAS IN HIS GROUP! Martin now just needed to figure out the course. A maze course. Easy peesy, Morai was going down.

As for everybody else, he decided just to look at who could be trouble:

Peter SneakyMouse might pose a threat. Yep he went 4-2 in the same situation that Schreider was in. That could be trouble, definite trouble.

Wk-Gy, the Az-Cz chaser. His coach told him that Az wasn't sending anybody good or of actual value but he was still from Az which was always a threat.

Then the fucking Starblaydi, Khazrar Meterrzibarn. He made it to octos even if he did have a crappy record in qualifiers.

How many did that make? 3 to be feared and one he could beat. 5 wins, 6 wins, a sweep? All realistic possibilities. Martin was quite happy.

--------------------------------

Luppers training had gone well. He had gotten better at strength and felt better in technique and maze. Now he was ready to win more. Since he finished the AOKCC on a 4 chase losing streak, he knew that his first opponent was key. His first opponent was: Luther Gardner from TLC. This should be a win and he was off to a good start. Now he looked at the rest of the group:

The Ninja Qutar- You always have to fear a person with that name. However, he was new to this competition so maybe Luppers had a chance.
Marian Luppers Milchama
Gruuuughhm Raging Penguins- Oh s---. Someone from Raging Penguins. He was expecting anything.
Andrew Rather Bazalonia- He did alright in the AOKCC. He did get to quarters so you have to respect that. This would be tough.
Nurri Tezbaktahir Starblaydia- He was the lucky Starblaydi finalist. Fucking bastard! Luppers knew he would beat him and beat him bad.
Levi Jonasson Winchestia- He did make to Octos so he was also one to fear. Although Luppers did feel confident for some strange reason.
Luther Gardnder Lowland Clans
Blase Ontopa Tocapa- Another sure win.

He decided to look at the groups again and he realized something bad. He had the second worst group behind Group C. He needed to be able to come out of there mostly unscaved or else he might not just make it to the outrounds. He needed wins and fast and Luppers knew how to get them.

MD 1 RP Cutoff

OOC: A note on the draws and on the rankings. The note on draws:

L-Draw means that the eventual winner drew this match as the law, or came from behind to catch the other chaser.

T-Draw means that the eventual winner drew this match as the thief, or that he was caught by the other chaser.

As for the rankings, both the group rankings and overall rankings have no differentiation between chasers with the same record. This means for example that Martin Wilson and Marian Luppers are both tied, but both are ahead of Jack Thursby. The same can be seen for losing records. This will be basically true until match day 5 and the final differentiation won't be set until the seedings for the top 32 are out.

Anyways, here are the results for MD1:

Opening day of the world championships

Here in the capital no real upsets presented themselves. Trengrove and Petrovic both had some troubles but in the end showed their class to earn their first wins. Runner Sprintmouse, Kochenon, and Riistamii all also looked good on opening day.

In Mil-Bax things also went entirely as expected. Tomoai, Lumber Strongmouse, and Alfred St-Jacques all showed their form and Andreas Steeplemouse, and Davy Kinch won as well.

Es-Ef also went basically to form. Nurri Tezbaktahir got off to a good start in trying to defend his second place finish in the AOKCC, Schreider Martin had a tough match against Peter Sneakymouse, but found the win and Morai also found victory.

As for the Az-cz runners both struggled and were beaten easily. As these are not top flight Az-cz runners and this is a weak even for both, no is suprised by this turn of events.

Maria Heatherton nearly pulledd out an upset against her opponent, David Kinch, She pulling out 2 draws before the loss. Maria catching the Milchaman in the first run as the law preventing David from winning. The 2nd run forced the Milchaman into the law position with Maria just out edging the Milchaman to the target. Unfortunately the Milchaman in the law position had caught Maria just shy of the exit. Denying her an upset win. The third and final run before the sudden death get to the target. The Milchaman pulled it out where it counted, he was apparently a bit dismissive of Maria in her Speed and that probably allowed her to take the early draws but David's speed was there when it was called on.

Andrew Rather, faced Starblaydi Nurri Tezbaktahir. The dawrf that managed to somehow get to the Finals despite being lowly ranked at the start of the knock-outs. The match was a close one the Bazalonian just missed being the theif as the Dwarf just beat him to the target. Andrew chased the Dwarf hoping to cause a draw but he just failed. All the time he either caught glimpses of the Dwarf or had heard the dwarf's heavy footsteps up ahead. And in the end the Starblaydi just managed to keep ahead of the Bazalonian and in the one run the Bazalonian lost to the obviously lucky Starblaydi

Peter Harden, he had the easiest opponent of all, Slow-Bro from Az-Cz. Despite being from the host nation and from the home of Kleptochase. Slow-Bro sucked in the Speed events. Whether it was the perception in Az-Cz that Speed courses wheren't real kleptochases, or whether he was just a poor kleptochaser. Either way Peter Certainly showed who the dominate Speed Kleptochaser was.

Joshua Trengrove, The Bazalonian had high hopes for the NSKCC, if only he could get through the Round of 32. His technique was quite poor compared to his other courses, specialising in the Strength. In this speed course he was against Thoror Azrantahim, who in the first run managed to get to the Target first as Joshua got temporarily lost in the course. However when he had fuond his way. he managed to catch up to the Starblaydi with the target causing a draw. However Joshua managed to remember the map more and since he didn't make any serious mistakes took the lead against the Starblaydi and never looked back taking the 2nd run with style.

Kochenon was right about Hoffman. He was easy. One time later and Kochenon had wrapped it up easily beating him like a drumb on the speed course. He expected victories like these but not neccesarily against the more experieced chasers who competed in AOKCC.

Meh he was Quakmybushian, tommorow the opponent will be better and harder. He checked the opponent, he was from TLC so maybe not, but it was strength so Marty did need to watch out. That was all in the future, right now he needed to study the map.

--------------------------------

Kinch had had more problems then he should have had in despatching Maria Heatherton but it was all good as he won in the end. There was a quite a scare there though as after he won the first chase she took the object and it looked bad for Kinch. But he figured out quickly where the target zone was and stopped Heatherton.

The third time though was all Kinch as picked a lock in a new record, for him, and speeded out to win. It was a good day and a good life. Now he needed tommorow to be a good day.

4 chasers qualify for next round

We're in double octofinals of the NSKCC, also known as the NS Kleptochase Championship Cup. The Milchamians veterans of the AOKCC have done well as they all qualified for this round of 32 with winning records.

Now to sum up all of what has happened to each chaser: Starting with Marty Kochenon:

Kochenon has been the most successful chaser so far in international kleptochase as he made the quarterfinals of the AOKCC thus qualifying himself for the Tour in Az-Cz. After going 4-3 he faces Runner SprintMouse from Miceland who had the same record and was also a veteran of the AOKCC. Kochenon seemed confident in victory as he was facing SprintMouse with no pressure on a technique course. There were also in the same group and both got to the quarterfinals. Kochenon lost the group meeting.

The next chaser up in the schedule is Davy Kinch:

Kinch went 5-2 in the competition which got him a spot as the favorite against the only Liverpool English chaser Kiyana Yishala. Yishala went 4-3 and Kinch is expecting a win considering his superior experience. The least known of the 4 chasers Kinch has been constantly searching for respect and is starting to get it from his teammates and those in Az-Cz for his inspired runs. He expects a deep run in this tournament.

After him come Schreider Martin.

Martin had an indentical record to Kinch at 5-2. He was the most successful chaser inside Milchama but has not been able to translate that success to the international setting where he was upset in Double Octos by a Vilitan who then went 1-6 at this tournament. This failing has made him mad and he plans on making the quarterfinals of this tournament. His opponent in Double Octos in The Pink Panther from Qutar. Martin said he would go right, then left then center and demolish the Panther like a bug. He seemed ridicoulously confident in victory but then that is just the way he is.

Finally there is Marian Luppers:

Luppers after a fantastic 3-0 start in the AOKCC has fallen on hard times as since then he has gone 4-7. However those 4 wins were in the group stages of this tournament so he did go 4-3. He is facing a tricky chaser from Quakmybush Alfred St. Jacque who did very well in the AOKCC. Luppers still seemed confident of victory however some experts are saying that he will be the lone Milchamian chaser to be eliminated at this stage or at least the most likely chaser to be eliminated at this stage.

Chasers to watch out for:

Some random people that you may want to watch if you flick on kleptochase on the TB.

Lumber StrongMouse- With only two ever losses and one tie in international competition the guy is great. However, he did lose in octofinals of the AOKCC despite not even tying a round before that. He is still unbelievable and a true threat to anybody.

Vladimir Petrovic- Another person from Quakmybush. Petrovich was the only undeafeated chaser during the NSKCC. With 5 draws though he could be beatable and he is against somebody from Az-Cz so you never know. We expect at least in octos appearance from Vladimir.

Raging Penguins still has two chasers, including one called Untrustworthy Penguin so anything is up for grabs there.

Finally watch out for any Vilitans or Starblaydis they get really really really really really really really really lucky in outrounds in kleptochase. Despite no news reports or any coverage from either nation they still had 3 or so spots in the AOKCC semi final.

A fan song about Maria Heatherton

"How do you solve a problem like Maria?
how do make her good at Kleptochase?
How do you find a word that means Maria?
A shitty runner, crappy thief, JUST SUCKS."

Many a thing I know I'd like to teach her
Many a thing she needs understand
But how do you get it through, past her thiick head
How do you make her understand, right now?

Oh How do make her good at Kleptochase.
How do you make her know how and what to do?"

.................

Joshua Trengrove, faced Vladamir, the man who he thought stole the AOKCC from him. IT should of have been his, but this was the Technique course, and it was Joshua's weakness. Joshua's weakest course. Now it was quite a surprise to those that watched, Joshua actually managed to perform adequatly in a Technique course, no major problems nothing broken. He didn't want to feel the way he did back in AOKCC with the who 'breakgate' affair. But yes, he had to come back from behind and caught the chaser. The second course just did not go Joshua's way. Vladamir was ahead for the entire race, Vladamir was just way more experience in Technique chases. In the round of 32, which is another technique race he faces Winchestian Dallas Pederson. The question is can Joshua make through the round of 32? We'll wait and see.

..........

Andrew Rather and Peter Harden both won their matches and will face each other in the Round of 32. Say goodbye to one of them.
Raging Penguins

Alan Cheescer peered across the table at the other chaser remaining from the team the Not-So-Grand Dutchy had sent out. The penguin was looking suspiciously unagressive, which meant that somewhere, beneath those deceptively peaceful black and white feathers, and behind that beaky mask of serenity, was a boiling penguin rage.

Alan Cheescer scooted back a few inches.

"Sqauuaaaaawell, Whaddya want, monkey? I'm a busy bird, y'know," Untrustworthy demanded, "I haven't got all night."

Alan glanced furtively around the room, and, satisfied that there were hidden listening devices and secret survellience camera's everywhere, he reached behind him, to a small coffee table, upon which sat a large stereo, and a typewriter. He turned the stereo on, inserted a CD, and turned the volume up full blast. Queen's "A Night at the Opera" exploded out of the speakers.

Cheescer then cafefully lifted the typewriter up, and set on the table between the two Raging Penguinians, and typed out, in old Penguinian:

-I am up against an opponent twice my skill. You are also mismatched. Can you rig it?

The penguin looked annoyed. He could certainly rig it. He was untrustworthy, and as such, he knew untrustworthy people. Untrustwothy people, who, say, could spike an opponants energy drink with a slow acting sedative. People who could, while resetting the course, accidentally leave a door hinge loose, open to prying crowbars, or leave bits of rotting fish oil, invisible to the naked eye, but quite evident to a penguin's senses, in places where no plank would trigger a trapdoor. He wasn't annoyed by the human's request. No, he was annoyed because he hadn't brought his new set of special FlipperFingers™, and as such, he couldn't type.

Instead, he delicately typed out, with his beak, another message, this time in the obscure language of Outish Troglodytian.

-Look, how do yoooooou want it rggied-riggged? Cut theee crapp. . .

Alan Cheescer looked at the message, and was confused. Outish Troglodyitan relies on certain amounts of vowels and consonants being used and repeated in a certain order, and a slight misspelling or over-enunciation can cause a word to have a totally different meaning. This is a large reason for the amount of wars Troglodytians had before they were conquered by the penguins of Bloco'yce, and later bought up by the humans of Raging Penguins. What Cheescer read was:

-Look, how do [Sagging Bottom] want it [KILL YOU!]-[Meat]? Cut [Under-garments] [Wife/Female/Slave*]. . .

He stared at the stoic penguin, and typed out
-What did that say?

Untrustworthy didn't have the ability to roll his eyes, as his eye muscles don't move that way, but he did his best.

-How do you want it Rigged?

Alan stroked his chin, and shook his head for the benefit of the cameras. The Stereo was blasting out "The Prophet's Song", and far off, in a secret observation post, an entire team of surveillence specialists would be rocking to the tune once they listened to their tapes.

Cheescer licked his lips.

-I want [Loose Rocks**] Tezbaktahir's tools to break as he trys to use them, I want his clothes to keep him off balance. I want him to smell of alchohal. I want him to believe himself under the influence of alchohal. I want his friends to think that he took a nip sometime in the morning. I want the alarm to go off early or late, depending on who gets to the target first. Can you arrange that?

-Depends. What do I get in return?

-A new set of custom tools, new bird-belts, a headbutting helmet. Four thousand Curses in cold, hard, cash. A 2007 Furrari-Cuddililac.

-Not enough.

-A guarenteed spot in the cushy cell next to the wardens office in the Bloco'yce Prison for the Dangerously Rich and Criminal. Bail posted on demand. Preferential Treatment by officers of the law.

-It is Agreed. You shall have your rigged match. I shall have my money, tools, car, jail-treatment, and head-butting helmet. A good deal. On more thing...

-Yes?

-...Is it true that you are Phether Tuks' illegitmate son?

Alan Cheescer's face grew stony when he read the last sentence. Instead of replying, he pulled the paper out of the type-wirter, ripped it up into confetti, and ate it. He turned the music down, and put the typewriter next to the stereo.

Untrustworthy Penguin left the room, thinking of his soon-to-be Furrari-Caddililac and his rooming in the Bloco'yce Prison. Hallway cameras recorded him whistling "I'm in love with My Car" all the way to the payphone. They did not record him talking at the phone, nor did they record him putting a strange muffler-like item to his beak when he spoke into the reciever. Instead, all the camera's in the area mysteriously started looping their tapes for about fifteen minutes, until they snapped back to veiw an empty corridor. Any attempts to trace the calls turned up remote calls to far away places like Tibijectinajicistanopolous, where the people on the recieving end spoke a language unheard of except by natives and, perhaps, Fnab-Fnab, of The Team. More mysterious, was the discovery that Tibijectinajicistanopolous doesn't actually exist, which, it turns out, isn't very surprising. Niether, it appeared, did the penguin named Untrustworthy Penguin.

With just three calls, the arrangements had been made. With just three more calls, any tracing attempts had been foiled. With just three sentences, this RP has just turned a whole lot more mysterious, and has probably stimulated more questions than it could have ever answered.

*It is an interesting fact that the terms for wife, female, and slave are all synonymous in Troglodytian, and thus are all spoken with the same word. It was once thought that this gave some insight into Troglodytian culture, however, such a silly, Foriegn notion has long since been discarded as foolishness, as the Penguinian term for 'woman', when said in a Tough, Rugged, and not-at-all-Abusive, but rather Manly tone, means both female and slave at the same time. Go on, try it.
See?

**Nurri translates into "loose rocks" in Outish Troglodytian, unfortunately. However, this appears to have not impeded the conversation. Untrustworthy probably thought that Cheescer was insulting his opponent.

A look at the round of 32

Vladimir Petrovic is definitely the favorite. The champion of the AOKCC, he is also the only undefeated chaser in qualifying. Coincidentally he faces the only remaining Az-cz chaser, the last qualifier Wk-Gy.

The mice also have a strong contigent. Lumber Strongmouse replicated his strong performances from the AOKCC group stage, again earning six wins. Steeplemouse sits behind him in third and Sneakymouse is in 4th. The mice can definitely be considered strong threats to win the tournament.

The AOKCC second place chaser Nurri Tezbaktahir came in sixth and has a decent chance to replicate his impressive results.

Last times strong chaser Joshua Trengrove is one of three Bazalonians still remaining but hasn't turned in as strong of results this time around. He has to come through Dallas Pederson to get through the round of 32.

Another chaser we think has good chances is Schreider Martin. He sits in 9th place, but could be quite dangerous. There's also a good chance he could face country mate Kinch in the round of 16 with a birth to the tour on the line.

We believe the champion will come from that group, but it's quite possible someone will suprise us. Let's see what happens.

Imagine a hallway. A very dark, dirty hallway, with crumbling brick walls, and a dying lightbulb hanging low from the ceiling in altering intervals ranging from 20 feet to 11 feet. Now, imagine the floor of this hallway, a wooden floor, with rotting planks and small gaps, warped sections forming slight bumps, and occasionally, the faint suggestion of a trapdoor outline. Now imagine, a man, walking very carefully. A tall, skinny man, with a dull black swimming cap on his head, and very, very quiet shoes. Tools; small crowbars, small screwdrivers, small drills, small hammers, small meathooks, small everything hang from his many, many belts. In his hand, a small, florescent light, with shutters. He has come in through a ceiling vent, which he has replaced with care. Far behind him is a door. Far ahead of him is a door.

Now, imagine the hallway from the viewpoint of a cross-section, the man creeping quietly, stealthily, along. The floorboards, aching to creak, to crack, to make a commotion, beneath his padded feet. Underneath these floor boards, imagine a forty foot drop.

Now, imagine this drop. A sheer, concrete vault, with walls set at 75Âş angles, forming a rectangular prism, with the wooden floorboards of the hallway making a five foot wide top, and the base, forty feet down, fifteen feet wide.

Now, imagine this base. It too, is concrete. But it is not bare. It is covered with twelve feet of sewage. Not garbage-filled, litter-strewn sewage, but utterly filthy, excrement and tainted-water sewage.

Now, imagine the hallway once again. The creeping man has tiptoed fourteen feet from where you first imagined him. Imagine, if you will, a three foot wide gap in the wooden floor, two feet from his quietly treading toes. Imagine as well, that this gap is covered by a piece of paper-board, well painted and disguised in such a way, that only carefull examination could distinguish it from the wood around it.

Now, imagine the stealthy man, creeping forward. Suddenly, his foot stops midair, and then slowly returns to where it had lifted off from. He stoops, and sniffs the air around the false floorboards. He gingerly touches the boards, using a long, straight wire. He nods to himself, and investigates further. Upon judging the distance between himself and the wooden floor beyond, he prepares himself, and makes a long, well-practiced step, which lands his foot perfectly upon the most solid plank of wood three feet away.

It also lands upon a tripwire.

Now, imagine the hallway, in cross-section again. Imagine it from the direction in which the man was moving. Now, look at the bottom of the floor. At the far end of the hallway is a system of pulleys, springs and coiled rope, arranged so cleverly, that is turns one half of the floor into a large trapdoor. This trapdoor is triggered by two devices. One, the doorknob of the portal on the opposite side of the hallway. The other, the tripwire which has just been trod upon.

Alan Cheescer screamed as he plummeted downwards.

************

Elsewhere, the penguin who called himself Untrustworthy scurried away from the sound of the alarm and the man who was in pursuit. The man was in no hurry to catch the penguin, as his face was still aching, despite the bandages which had been applied to stop the blood inflicted by the angry bird the first time he'd been tackled.

The untrustworthy bird triumphantly dove through the last obstacle, a crocodile pool, perforating two unlucky reptiles and doing thousands of dollars worth of damage to an Az-cz zoo at the same time as he reached the end.

Petrovič knocked out, St.Jaqcues is left

The semi-finals are upon us at the NSKCC and their is one Quakmybushian chaser left. Not Vladimir Petrovič like every one expected but, Quakmybush's second best chaser in Alfred St.Jaqcues, he hopes to advance to the finals by defeating the man who defeated Vladimir. Alfred and Vladimir are very good friends, so after Vladimir's loss they shared information. In an interview with Alfred he said "I really want to win, I'll do what ever it takes." The match against Milchimian Schreider Martin will take place tommorrow.

Schreider Martin to the finals

That's right everybody Schreider Martin has most definitely redeemed himself after his poor performance in outrounds in AOKCC. The double octos proved to be his toughest match as he barely beat The Pink Panther of Qutar. The first try he was the law but the pink panther went right into his grasp for an easy tag. The second round the Pink Panther got lucky and had to stop right in front of Schreider's target zone and easily tagged him. The third round though there was no such luck for the Panther and Martin easily stole the object and got the win.

Since then though he's been on a rampage as he beat Kiyana Yashala of Liverpool England in octos (Yashala beat Davy Kinch in doubles). Then in the quarterfinals he was against Vladimir Petrovic. Petrovic had won the AOKCC and had gone undeafeated in the tournament up to that point. However, it was not to be for long as Martin figured out the speed course easily and Petrovic to school as he upset him in one round. (Petrovic beat Marty Kochenon in octos)

Then in the semi final round Martin was against another Quakmybush chaser in Alfred St. Jacque. St. Jacque thought he knew Martin but he did not know the course and got lost quickly before Martin out thieved him to be first to the object and first to the target zone for the victory. (St. Jacque eliminated Luppers in double octos)

Now it's him against Tocapan Rii Klenh in the finals, in another maze course. Martin expects success and with his track record who can bet against him.

This is also only Martin's second opponent this outrounds who did not before meeting him eliminate another Milchamian. Martin said, "I'm just glad to get the bid. With two chasers on the tour and another 4 trying to qualify it seems like Milchama will have a lot of chances of success on the tour. Also with my experience doing this and other things to build on this could be a big deal for me."

The only Milchamian chaser who could be reached for comment was Marty Kochenon who said, "Martin is a great chaser and he's showing the skill that made him dominate the Milchama circuit before the whole AOKCC thing. I'm confident he'll win."
