POOL E
Matchday 1: vs. #39 Rordia, at Wildcat Stadium, 5pm QST.
Matchday 3: @ #34 Toranat, at Rangers Stadium, 6:30pm QST.
Matchday 5: vs. #12 New Montreal States, at Wildcat Stadium, 12:00pm QST.

Matchday 8: vs. Toranat, at Wildcat Stadium, 8pm QST.

The Lady Oxen have semmingly drawn a rather easy group with the only competetion being NMS, whom Qazox has split two previous meetings. Toranat, surprising qualifiers at the last cup, seemingly have a more difficult task to repeat and Rordia has a slightly less of a chance than Toranat.

SATIVAVILLE STONER
God-Dammit Who ate my Doritos??
The Lady Stoners make a return to the Women's World Cup after being suspended due to high levels of Marijuana use prior to the Liverpool England hosted cup (damn stringent drug tests). With more liberal drug testing policies in Rorysville and Marceau State (this year's hosts), The lady Stoners mark will hopefully do better than in the last one they participated in. Here is the newly re-formed roster:
Sativaville will play +2 style with a 4-2-4 formation. (starter in Italics)

Style = +1 (4-4-2)
It's 4-4-2 but it's really 4-2-2-2
Coach - Holly Cambridge
GK Jihad Jane, 16 - She's nuts. It's Holy war if you score a goal against her. Nothing get past the goal line without a fight.
GK Marcia Materazzi, 27 - Can insult anyone, anywhere. Big tall girl and likes to talk more than Rachel Kool (which is scary). Like to punch people too, outside the football pitch.
DEF - Stacey Fathom, 25 - ball thief expert especially when attacks are slow
DEF - Zizzi Zidane, 20, headbutts people who irritate her. Has headbutted Marcia for being too talkative before.
DEF - Fetha Gosha Asha, 20 - Throws the ball with one hand and sometimes halfway across the field.
DEF - Stuka Bomba, 18 - Little German girl who crashed into defenses when you least expect it. Doesn't like too much attention from opposing defenders though.
DEF - Chris Tuggarnong, 24, Junior Weightlifter turned soccer player. Can throw other players around just for fun.
DEF - Cicino Canabaro, 27, Master defender in the Italian sense - likes to act too.
MID - Shinita Habashi - 26, Buddhist Japanese girl who like to kick hearthen ass
MID - Anna Goldstein, 24 - Not the JGN reporter but her 6th cousin. Small and hard to catch

MID - Sassani Alba Fa Jihad, 24, plays everygame like it's holy war. Prone to red cards
MID - Dazza Dallas, 18, younger sister of Debbie Dallas. Plays soccer the Italian way! CAPTAIN. IQ of 140, TV reporter, geek and radio star. Attention whore from HELL.
MID - Mousi, 21. Single name player. Quiet as a mouse, the quiet achiever on the team.
STK - Sister Merci, 25 - Another Nun who plays soccer. Not as crazy as her precedessor but a more refined and technical player.
STK - Cue Epie, 15 - A dumb version of Dazza Dallas without the personality. Skillful but sometimes need a whack in the head to get a message.
STK - Penny Lane, 29 - Beatles fan and corner taker
STK - Sophie Olmat, 30, daughter of a diplomat. Played for fun and was so good, they made her permanent. VICE CAPTAIN

The Same roster as last time
Well we no longer have the suspense of what the roster is for the Milchama Attacker (nor with the nickname as we're the Attackers). Also the coach for the Attackers was revealed to the general international public, the coach was Milchama footballing legend Quin Temple who retired before the Warriors got to play internationally but was the all time leader in MFL goals before Marc J. Floren. The 45 year old Temple does not have much manager experience but has helped both Great Alexandria and the Norman Spartans on numerous occasions. The roster was unveiled to a small crowd as the rest didn't really care. As they are fairly anynomous there will not be biographies for many of the players. As they are called the Attackers they will play in the suicidal 0-0-10 formation which of course will be +5.

F: Elana Kilinin- The star and most famous player on the squad. She will be the key to success or failure in all their endeavors.

F: Caroline Steardt- The top goal scorer in Milchama women's history. Her goals will be key for them.

Goalies
1 Maria Sharas
Age - 1106
A veteran of the Hartdale Hawks, she stands tall in net and is ready to shoulder the burden of the team and try to lead them onto victory after having decent success in the previous WWC.
0 Pamelia Goodson
Age - 1036
Pam is a quality backup who is starting to blossom into a true number one goalie. Is likely to take over Sharas spot when she retires. Until then, the young star continues to hone her skills in domestic games and sits waiting her turn on the bench.
Defenders
11 Liliam Kries
Age - 1247
A solid force in the back, who uses her great footwork and patience to frustrate strikers all throughout the match. Was the first woman to win Defender of the Year in the Premiership. However, age is starting to catch up with her, and has lost a step or two from her prime, but is still the best defender on the backline hands down.
17 Ashley Walker
Age - 1223
Ashley is a talent through and through. She started her career as a striker and has moved her way back through the years due to an unfortunate knee injury during her prime. Though not as tough as she once was, she can still create magic off of set pieces and the occasional run.
4 Sarah Parker
Age - 1152
Sarah has been playing football for nearly a century and has earned a reputation as a crackdown centerback both at home and abroad. She uses her unnatural hieght and muscle to bully strikers off the ball and clear it safely.
12 Allison Cooper
Age - 1083
People have a hard time finding Allison on the field, not because she isn't there, but because of how short she is. Yet her size is a deception as she is as quick as a cheetah which leaves many strikers wondering where she came from. In additon, she has been working on joining the attack, to help alleviate the pressure off Night.
6 Brandy Hardsworth
Age - 741
Younger sister of Placibus, Brandy is as stout defender as her older brother. Still coming into her talent, she is one of those rare talents that just needs to blossom. With the help of Grace over the last four years, she has nearly cracked the starting line up.
21 Gabriel Manderine
Age - 1258
Like Brandy, Gabriel is the sister of a Marauder, but she is as well known in the ESF as her brother. Her age is starting to get to her however and she finds herself coming off the bench despite her talent and reputation. Has announced her retirement after the Cup.
27 Samantha Iclen
Age - 1085
A good defender in her own right, she just lacks that spark that would get her a starting position. Yet the competition posed by her presence makes the starters work that much harder, making the team better as a whole.
Midfield
Marsha Stone
Age - 1147
Marsha is simply one of the most charasmatic players the ESF has ever produce. Add that to her great physical talent, and you have a killer combination. She is the midfield general and everyone on the team respects her play and personality and rises their play to meet hers.
Victoria Riot
Age - 34
Unlike everyone else on the team, Victoria is not an elf. After immigrating from Assegai, Victoria was placed on the Marauder and now Lady Raider roster because of her cousin who plays on the Assegai national team. She proved that allowing immigrants to the team is not a bad idea, however she is retiring after the Cup.
Christina Applegate
Age - 918
A youngster compared to most on the sqaud, Christina has been groomed to be a perfect holding midfielder. Her defensive awareness is amazing and so is her ability to free strikers on great runs.
Daniel Yi
Age - 1104
A troubled player emotionally, but brilliant on the pitch. Having gotten medication for her mental problems has allowed her to break the starting line up. She has amazing talents for the offensive game, and the only thing that will keep her from rocking the Cup is if she forgets to take her meds..
Rosemary Redhorn
Age - 1043
Another holding midfielder for the squad. Her shakyness in pressure situations has cost her the starting job, and put her on the bench.
Amanda Young
Age - 1072
Your typical midfielder that is nothing special, but you know she will do her job game in, game out.
Gloria Rolich
Age - 1157
About the same as Amanda, but does possess a flare for the dramatics.
Forwards
Kyla Night (C)
Age - 1082
The "Devil's Kiss" looks to continue to give defenders nightmares with her simply unbelievable offensive talent.
Victoria Icecloud
Age - 1050
Victoria is wonderful off of set pieces, but her reckless play is what makes her a liability at times, yet with Sar's retirement has allowed the forward to start. Grace only hope she isn't making a mistake by letting her on the pitch
Mary Orealus
Age - 927
Another one of the youngsters who made it onto the squad. She is here mainly as a spectator to watch and learn from her betters.

How she loves to play
23 Kirsten Cassidy, 17, goalie
Baby of the team
Mature beyond tender years
She wants the one shirt
The team, it was announced, would be playing in their traditional royal blue shirts, white shorts and blue socks, but the change kit had changed to a strange all bronze effort that looked like a dirty orange. Allegedly in celebration of the Olympic performance but maybe because the yellow one had run in the wash. Just in case, an all black kit had been brought as third choice.
The team played with an attacking +2 formation and the Wentland press stated that anyone else reporting on matches could say what they liked, but they should not declare any of the players dead. "That's His Majesty's job," they japed.
There was one question, though. Janet St Clair's injury was keeping her out of the squad - but what about Anna Kumble? Where was the captain?

"That's OK, Anna, it's great news for you."
"Look on the bright side...Meld's calmed down a bit, she can play central midfield."
"I'm missing a left-winger, though. Pui's not really working now as the game's got more physical so I might put her out there. I don't want to lose her ball skills."
"That'd make sense."
"I'm gonna make Cindy captain. She's the most experienced. Oh, for some decent midfielders, though...I can't bring Carol back, she's gone past it..."
"How about young Fraser?"
"Yes, I just wonder whether it's a bit too soon for her. Still, nothing ventured."
"Well, good luck to the team..."
"Thanks, Anna...keep safe...who knows, in another eighteen or so years we'll have Kumble mark 2 in the team..."
Anna Kumble laughed. "I hope so."

The montegrandean lady jaguars roster
The montegrandean squad is willing to make the nation forget their poor first performance in the WWC3 with their player smore experienced than before, and a more intelligent but still quite offensive style. The people is expecting this great sports party to start with their team trying to achieve greater level of football than the observed in WWC3, conserving the most of the players, who with two more years of experience are preparing to do their best now in the WWC4. The formation is 4-4-2 and the style modifier is +2.
Starters
1- GK Antonieta Pavez (24 years old, Libertad san Arturo): The promising young goalkeeper that was a reserve for WWC3 is willing to repeat the great performances in Libertad, which finally won the championship
2- RB Miranda Escudero (25 years old, Sierra Bonita FC): Even when she didn´t make a good performance in the last women world cup, the coach believes this could be her opportunoty to show the world her talent as a defender.
6- CB Alejandra Torres (30 years old, Captain Deportivo Teirepué): One of the oldest players in the team, she is needed to lead the defense of the lady jaguars to do a better WWC than the last one.
3- CB Soledad Ramírez (21 years old, Red Star Montegrande): Even when her inexperience came to be decisive in the weakness of the defense of the lady jaguars the last WWC, she expects, two years older, to fulfill all the expectatives her numerous fans have.
4- LB María Gracia López (25 years old, Libertad San Arturo): With her technical skills and speed she made a great campaign in the local league, with 8 goals in the league. She expects to maintain now her good moment.
77- RM Fátima Kayrouan (22 years old, Deportivo Árabe): Famous in all the country because of her agility, she and her sister Mariela lead the team to the 3rd place of the league, with a quite spectacular style. She wishes her first WWC to be perfect.
19- CM María Sofía López Campos (19 years old, Libertad San Arturo): This young talent of the midfield is finally in the starting formation of the team, after watching the games from the bench in WWC3.
10- CM Graciela Belmar (20 years old, Red Star Montegrande): Even when this hasn´t been her best year and certainly she was nervous and unaccurate the last world cup, she is may be the most talented player on the team, she is expected to show with Romina Glahn all the quality they couldn´t deliver in WWC3.
7- LM Lirayen Enríquez (24 years old, Libertad San Arturo): May be the less impressive player of the midfield, but her good year in Libertad and the fact she was one of the few players that made a good participation in the WWC3 makes her a key part of the starting squad.
9- RS Romina Glahn (21 years, Red Star Montegrande): As beautiful as ever and expecting to do a better performance this time, her talnet and technique and her marvelous understanding with her teammates promise for this World Cup.
11- LS Mariela Kayrouan (26 years, Deportivo Árabe): The top scorer of the revelation team of the last season expects to repeat her gymnastical goals in this WWC.
Reserves
12- GK Inés Pizarro (27 years old, Defensor Montegrande): She is the second option for goalkeeper and unless Antonieta Pavez is injured she would probably watch the WWC from the bench
15- DF D Emilia De los Ríos (22 years old, Vista Hermosa AC): In her second WWC she is again just a substitute, but is more probable for her to play now.
13- DF María Gracia López (25 years old, Red Star Montegrande): She didn´t make good performances neither in the last WWC nor the last season, but she stills has chances to return to the top of montegrandean football.
6- DF Alejandra Monteurbino (28 years old, Deportivo Che Guevara): Even when she is a mature and solid defender, she wasn´t included in the WWC3 and could be a good option either for this time and for further world cups.
8- MF María de los Ángeles Godoy (25 years old, Red Star Montegrande): This talented player has struggled to recover from a serious injury and is waiting to return to the field and do all she couldn´t do in the last world cup.
5 MF Trinidad Urrutia (25 years old, Sierra Bonita FC) : Solid and powerful center midfielder, could enter the field if the team needs to defend a result.
16 MF Gabriela Román (27 years old, Libertad San Arturo): Good chance for right midfielder if Fátima Kayrouan fails to fulfill the expectations of the coach.
17 MF Alexa Gómez (21 years old, Alejandría FC): Young promise of the inner regions of the country, called the "young amazon", because of her courage and physicial potence, could enter the field to do magic.
28- FW Patricia González (31 years old, Deportivo Che Guevara: Couldn´t score in the last world cup, may be this is her lucky championship.
18- FW Francisca Almeyda (23 years old, Vista Hermosa AC): Young and powerful striker who waits for her chance to enter the field and score.
Coachs
Head Coach: Martina Suárez (49 years old)- Even when the team failed miserably in the last women world cup, Martina Suárez was kept as coach of the team, with the objective of doing a good performance this time and forget the noightmare of WWC3. She has recently announced, that this will be her last WWC as coach of the team
First Assitant Coach: Isidora San Pablo (31 years old)- Now Martina Suárez has announced her future retirement as head coach, Isidora San Pablo is expected to be the new head coach of the team, althuough this depends on the results the team gets this world cup.
Second Assistant Coach: Trinidad Cuneo (36 years old)- Captain of the team in WWC3, she is expected to be the connection between the coaching staff and the team and to assure the best morale for their former teammates.
If the rival posts before me, he or shecan hand out yellow and red cards. injury my players (but with moderation, no killings nor ended careers) and choose my scorers, although not godmod scores or other events...

TV Montegrande News
Raul Santos: Here is from Marceau State Raúl Santos, accompanied by the two arabian beauties of the lady jaguars, Fátima and Mariela Kayrouan.
Mariela Kayrouan (laughing, as her sister): If you say so...
Raúl Santos: You know that all the people of Montegrande is expectant of the performance of the lady jaguars this WWC. How high or low do you think are the chances of the jlady aguars in this WWC?
MK: Even when we are in the same group with great teams as Mcpsychoville and Swilatia, that defeat the lady jaguars the last world cup, as well as one of the host nations, Marceau State, we are training to do our best and achieve great results this world cup and even when we know that qualyfying to the next stage is difficult, we are optimistic and only hope to show how much has the montegrandean women football improved since the last WWC.
FK: However, I would like to remember the fans even when we will give our all in the field this is a very difficult group and the expectatives doesn´t have to be as high as they were in the last WWC, to avoid the enragement of the people if we fail.
RS: And as new members of the squad, ho do you feel about your teammates and the coachs?
FK: All my teammates have been great with me and my sister, and Martina Suárez is a very skilled coach and also a very warm person. In my case, I have inmediatly became a friend of many of the younger players, like Romina, Graciela and María Sofía, who were in the last WWC and taught me some valuable things for this world cup, and really we are having a great time being in this team.
MK: We have certainly a great relationship as a team and is probable that this situation will last at least for a long time. The players that were in the last WWC have been very warm with us and I have nothing wrong to say about the coachs or the federation.
RS: Fátima, how do you feel about being in the midfield with other two quite talented young players as Graciela Belmar and María Sofía López campos?
FK: Well, we are not only good friends, but also have learnt to play as a unit and pass the ball, acting as a unit more than three good separate players. I wish we can do the same in the WWC and qualyfy for the next stage.
RS: And Mariela, who would be the top scorer of the jaguars, you or Romina Glahn?
MK: I really don´t care who is the top scorer of the team as long as we can understand each other and win the most games possible. And as a socialist nation Montegrande is, this is the way we were taught to play...
RS: You are seemingly very proud of being from Montegrande, but how do you feel about your arabian inheritage?
MK: Well, our family came to Montegrande long years ago and even as you say we are really happy of being montegrandean, we try to keep our arabian traditions and inheritage, specially Fátima, because its an important part of ourselves keeping our traditions of origin, as most of the montegrandean arab colony does.
FK: Arab language and culture has been an important part of our lives we are really proud of and the ancient knowledge of our ancestors will be kept as a remainder of where we came from, what we are, even when we are really happy with montegrandean nation.
RS: It has been a pleasure being with you, but now we have to say goodbye. This is Raul Santos, for TV Montegrande.
MK and FK at the same time: The pleasure is ours!

Jeruselem Government News
Dazza's Yap Yap - 1st of September, 2006
I don't what some people were thinking, but they decided to appoint an 18 year old the captaincy of the Women's World Cup IV. Yes, that's me. So I'm the team captain, team reporter and resident genius bimbo. I think someone older should have this captaincy, but it's not up to me.
There's a lot riding on this cup, as defending champs. We've won the last two and Liverpool England won the first. As usual we see Wentland, Yafor 2, Chicanada, and Liverpool England as the main rivals. We've done really well last two world cups - 1 loss, to Starblaydia as expected. So, the standard is set and well, we really can't do much better.
We are yet to see the Yaforite roster or the name of the coach, but I bet it will be Lisa Simpson. She coached us to World Cup 2 and has the team which could once again challenge us for this cup.
Now, the team is the mix of veterans and youth. Some untested youngsters are here but we have veterians from last two world cups here. Former captains Debbie Dallas (sis!) and Penny Handi have retired - both played in the real World Cups too. World Cup XXX captain Penny Gadget as also retired too, but we still have plenty of good players here.
Me and Finn had a vacation in Nedalia, and well those people are so nice. Nedalians recognised us and they also worship us, which is a weird experience. Finn is still in his shell, but I'm still working on him to be more adventurious. He's actually not dumb as some think, but some of his family are very protective, err, actually control freaks.
Hope you all watch the cup because we've won two in row, and frankly we have not done this in any other cup. Yes, U21 Champions 3 and 9 - one by default. We want do to a Reijistania, who won a few a row in U21. God bless you all and sweet dreams.

Rordettes World Cup Update
Tomorrow will see Rordia take part in their 2nd Womens World Cup, and the whole country will be cheering the Rordettes all the way. They have been drawn in POOL E with Qazox (ranked 5th in the world), New Montreal States and Toranat. On paper it looks a tough group, but head coach Charlotte Mayer believes her team can spring a surprise.
Mayer said: "We are the Davids in a Goliath tournament. Well, actually, it's more appropriate to call us the Davinas in a Goliath tournament. But whatever we are, we have a team capable of upsetting a big name.
"As expected, we are odds-on to crash out at the very first hurdle. But screw those odds. We are Rordians, and we are not renowned for giving up easily. We have players like Maria Baker, Kelly Richardson and Becky Lewis in our squad, and they are definitely top quality players. This will be the tournament when we will make the world sit up and take notice. SIAMO UNITI!"
They are determined to do much better than they did in WWC2. Back then, the Rordettes came bottom of Group D with five points and just four goals. Their squad consisted of a group of Rordic City girls hand-picked at random, so it was no wonder that they did so terribly. But now most of Rordia's players are professionals, and they are much fitter than the WWC2 failures.
The Rordia squad arrived in Rorysville for the tournament earlier today. As expected, the team contains NONE of the WWC2 Rordettes. After the squad was announced a few days ago, striker Zoey Morgan moaned: "I don't understand why Mayer didn't pick me. I'm one of the best strikers in the league, yet I never got a look in. Since when was Grace Carter a half-decent striker? I can score more goals in two matches than she can in two years!"
Zoey, here are some of the reasons why you weren't picked: 1) You're 46. 2) You weigh 22 stone. 3) You've only scored five goals in the RordWaste Amateur League Sixth Division.
Rordia will use a 4-4-2 formation throughout the tournament, with a +2 style.
RORDIA'S SQUAD
Goalkeepers
1. Lucy Bare, 26, Eisenhower
A top class keeper with lightning reflexes and excellent vision. She once posed for the Rordic Gazette's Page 2 - although she wasn't bare.
12. Pauline Docker, 23, Rordic City Bluebirds
At 6ft 8in, she is the tallest player in the squad. But there is concern about her nose, which is prone to getting broken by seagulls flying into it.
20. Susy Landsend, 21, LFC Tate Moss
Susy is the only squad member not playing in the top flight. She's only in the squad because better keepers are injured, suspended or foreign.
Defenders
2. Justine Montréal, 25, Comté De Forêt
A tough-tackling left-back with an, erm, tendency to swear. She has escaped several red cards because referees don't understand her language.
3. Joanne Turner, 26, Rordic City Bluebirds
Turner is one of the most unattractive members of the squad. But this is an advantage, as she easily scares off opposition defenders.
4. Tracy Walker, 22, Tigre Rossa
Despite being only 5ft 8in, she is excellent in the air. She has scored four headed goals in the league this season, but only one with her feet.
6. Becky Lewis, 23, Tigre Rossa
With her in your starting line-up, your defence is watertight. She is excellent at muscling opposing strikers off the ball.
15. Alison Moreau, 29, Eisenhower
An experienced centre-back with great tackling ability. Off the pitch, she scored a No 1 single earlier this year with "That Invisible Devil Called Alf".
18. Claire Bayley, 20, Rordic City Redheads
She may have ginger hair and terrible acne, but she's a real bruiser. This season alone, she picked up three red cards and nine yellow cards!
Midfielders
5. Nicki Cooper, 24, Eisenhower
Nicki is a fan favourite, and she has a massive box of tricks. But she has also been arrested several times for 'showing signs of narcissism'.
7. Imogen Abergynolwyn, 23, Rordic City Redheads
On the pitch, she's a key player with a tendency to score or get an assist at crucial moments. Off it, she's a part-time model with a male fan club.
8. Kelly Richardson, 29, Xaviettes
The Rordette's star player, and captain. She is the top flight's most prolific assister and top midfielder goalscorer of all time.
11. Bianca Griffiths, 19, Rordic City Bluebirds
Bianca is the squad's youngest player, and she has amazing passing ability. However, she tends to suffer panic attacks if a defender comes too close.
14. Katie Phillips, 22, Tigre Rossa
Katie's strengths are her shooting, crossing and pace. But she is not very brave, and she has also suffered her fair share of injuries.
31. Teri Williamson, 23, Saint Kitt's United
A very speedy winger with an ability to tear defences apart. She declined the number 13 shirt because "it is not one of her favourite numbers".
Forwards
9. Maria Baker, 20, Rordic City Bluebirds
With 23 goals, she is the league's most prolific scorer this season. She has also scored a respectable six goals for the Rordettes so far.
10. Cortney van Kol, 21, Comté Sauvage
Hard-shooter Cortney is the only squad member not born in Rordia. She moved to the country's Franco Region just five years ago.
16. Grace Carter, 26, Rordic City Redheads
Grace is regularly taunted by the national press for her poor scoring record. But 'Butterfeet' is always one of the first names on the teamsheet.
17. Bernie Hughes, 24, Rordic City Bluebirds
Bernie is very popular with both male and female fans. The tiny brunette always celebrates her goals with a previously unseen celebration.
19. Svetlana Sokolova, 23, Xaviettes
Despite scoring 19 league goals this season, she has never played for Rordia. Rordettes fans are dying to see Sokolova's superb free-kicks.

The party is about to begin and the lady jaguars desire to improve their performance
The women´s world cup IV is starting tomorrow, September 2th of 2006, and the Montegrandean lady jaguars are preparing for what will be their second women´s world cup ever, with all the eyes of the fans looking and awaiting good results and better performances this time.
The lady jaguars now their first participation in WWCIII Liverpool England was certainly quite weak and the montegrandeans have now to demonstrate all the talent of a nation in which football is the most popular sport and get at least to the second stage of the championship, and for that is prepared a team that has conserved most of their players, but has some important new faces willing to do their best and this time achieve the expectatives created in the country.
The team is in pool H, that will be played in the Invasion and Marceau University stadiums, both located in Marceau City, Marceau State, and it promises to be a touch competence to qualify to the next stage. The rivals of the lady jaguars will be Mcpsychoville, a team that had already defeated the team in the last WWC, Swilatia, another already known foe and current number 9 of the world, which smashed the lady jaguars by 5-2 in Liverpool England, the cohost nation of Marceau State, certainly a tough rival because of the support of the local fans even when its ranked 39th of the world, a place shared with the lady jaguars, and the unranked team of United Transylvania, that will be looking for a good debut.
The team has been preparing hardly for the first match against the powerful Swilatia, trying to revenge the humiliating defeat in Liverpool England and also start with the right foot this new opportunity for the young talents of the team, Romina Glahn and Graciela Belmar, as well as the other players of the team to show all the technique and style of the south american football.

Edwina Bluff was scouting the Northlands Colosseum with a pregnant Anna Kumble and assistant Nikki Griffin.
"Magnificent arena, isn't it?"
"Quite. But I'm a bit concerned...it's perhaps too magnificent."
"What do you mean, Nikki?"
"Well, look at the quality of the pitch. The high stands and frankly bizarre roofing structure have obviously affected the aereation of the grass. It looks good on the surface but feels as if it will break up at any time."
"I see what you mean, there seems to be a lot of water standing around."
"I think it might churn up. I'll bring the nylon studs, even if it does not rain."
"Mmm...and look at the skies..."
"Leaden. They don't call this place Thunder Point for nothing."
"And Magnus Valerius in the first game...we'd hope to outplay them with midfield skill, like we did before, but it might come down to sheer brutality."
"Yeah, Meld will be in her element."
"And I think the Foyster ought to be in goal. She will cope with it better..."
"And Spaam again..."
"Don't mention them...I'm trying to ignore them till we play them..."

In the practice field the montegrandean players were seemingly tense tense. The first game in WWCIV, the pressure of trying to make the fans forget the bad performances in Liverpool England and the fact of facing in their first game the powerful Swilatia, a team that outplayed the lady jaguars in WWCIII were enough reasons to be stressed, but the younger players were struggling with the desire of breaking in tears because of the pressure. Romina Glahn and Graciela Belmar, were the more affected players and the third coach Trinidad Cuneo decided to talk with them.
"You too shouldn´t be as stressed now, Romina and Graciela, you know that crying and feeling awful only make more difficult the challenge."
Romina Glahn nervously responded:
"That sounds great, Trinidad, but you know it´s irreal to ask us for absolute calm when you know the fans expect us to do too good presentations, and you are perfectly aware that we failed then once before..."
Graciela Belmar, seemed to terrified to talk and jut nodded, and looked scared to the third coach, hiperventilating.
Trinidad answered to the scared players:
"Yes, I know the pressure you have to manage is inmense, but all the players have to bare the same expectatives and also do the coachs. Also, you have gained experience in this and also have to seem more secure for the new players in the team. You also have seen how the swilatians play and that gained experience is very valuable in the challenge of trying to defeat Swilatia this time. You should focus in relaxing and doing your best, not please 100% the fans because that is impossible... And at last, did you decided to play football because of the fans or because you enjoy it?"
The nervous players answered at the same time:
"Because we enjoy it."
And Trinidad, smiling, answered back:
"So, you should show that you enjoy it and keep training for the big match today and have a nice lunch and focus in the game not in the fans.
And if you feel you aren´t capable of doing your job, just try to be strong and ask help if needed, your teammates and the coaching staff will be always to make you feel more comfortable and secure, so don´t wait until you´re crying and hyperventilating, am I clear in this?"
The players silently nodded, and then back in the training showed to be more confident about themselves, and that certainly made their teammates more confident. The training session ended well and the lady jaguars weren´t as scared to face Swilatia in their first game. This wasn´t the ocassion to feel sick about past defeats but for trying to win this time, to qualyfy this time for the next stage...

Jeruselem Government News
Dazza's Yap Up - 3rd of September, 2006
It's Dazza from Women's World Cup IV. And it's freaking cold down here in Rorysville... 20C and windy, not the weather Jeruselemites are used to. Add some rain and that's no fun.
We played some leet-speaking geeky girls from 1337phr33kia, and played like The Greatest Crap in the World Cup XXX. Actually, we actually won ONE NIL but it was a shocker really. Try playing flowing football in light rain? Not much point so he had to hack the win. The folks to 1337phr33kia aren't too bad but they lacked a lot of things that champion teams have - determination. Giving up to easily and making basic mistakes when it matters the most. We played badly, but the combinations needed tweaking and the new players weren't exactly settled either. The defense needs work but the geeky girls didn't trouble us really.
Lowland Clans had a much better time. San Haven are probably used to losing and well, it continues on. The Clan girls won THREE ONE and they played well indeed. San Haven wasn't much of a challenge to them but we should watch the Clan team and see how they play us. San Haven proved no match for the Clan girls and wilted badly. 1337phr33kia did well and we are interested if they are better than San Haven.
The usual suspects Yafor 2, Wentland, Haraki, Qazox and Swilatia all also won by bigger scorelines than us. Marceau State, one of hosts, upset McPsychoville FOUR TWO. Liverpool England also scraped home 1-0 and Chicanada had a draw with the team we call the Islanders (United Island Empires) 2 ALL. All in all, no real shockers except for one game. Starblaydia drew their game 2 ALL too but they were probably just trying to get team settled first - expect wins from them. OK, Starblaydia were playing the improving Quakmybush who are GOOD.
We played badly but never expect a Jeruselem to play well first few games. Slow starters sometimes but when we get on a roll, we are like a tank as you saw in II and III. We really need to improve but I think we zapped out some of the bugs today when we played the geek girls from 1337phr33kia.
Yow, a lot of people ask if I've done the naughty thing (you know) with my current boyfriend Finn yet. I'm trying but it's not working yet. Even a holiday in Nedalia didn't work - must remove that mind control device his mum planted. Not going to mention what I've tried because you're better of watching a pr0n movie if I did. The fun of dating a monk.
And who's coaching Yafor 2? No idea - no one wants to tell me. And I can't speak Yaforese yet. If someone knows, send the info to me. Dazza want to know, I'll even sent a gift. Do it - send it to dazza@jgn.net.jew.

Well, we've lost to a team that doesnt exist. Worse yet, even the team that does exist that we were supposed to play, doesnt even have an identity to show up with because they are a perma guest.
What the hell is a perma guest?
I don't know some bollocks about some log thing.
Logs? Like old trees?
No you fool, logs like little boxes you type stuff in.
You mean like a computer?
No you fool. On a computer. You type in the little box to Log In. They can't do it.
That's not true. They can do it, they just have been suggested not to.
When the hell did you turn from a freaking fool to a Mr. Know it all?
Just about now.
Great.
I don't see why they just don't Yafor it. Or hell, Yafor 3 it. Or Yafor II it. Or... I don't know, anything that has anything at all to do with Yafor, as opposed to something completely neurotic like a Gupta.
What the hell is a Gupta?
I don't know, you fool, why are we arguing, we're obviously piss and have work to do for the next match.
Right.
Rordettes World Cup Update
Qazox 3-0 Rordia - at Wildcat Stadium
So far, not so good. The Rordettes have lost their opening match of the Women's World Cup 3-0 to Qazox. But while a defeat to one of the tournament's giants was inevitable, it has still had a negative impact on Rordian morale.
The rout started just five minutes into the game. A defensive error from Joanne Turner allowed Kelli Renoir to round keeper Lucy Bare and slot the ball into the net. Six minutes later, Turner conceded a free-kick on the edge of the Rordian area for a disgraceful lunge on Julia Childress. Julia's sister Andrea then took the free-kick, and it blasted into the net. Rordia boss Charlotte Mayer was so furious with Turner's performance that she substituted her almost immediately after that goal! Turner couldn't understand why she was being taken off, and she shoved Mayer in the chest before trudging down the tunnel.
Qazox's strikers continued to pummel Lucy Bare with shots, although the Eisenhower star was equal to nearly all of them. At half-time, Bare was exhausted, and she had to be helped into the dressing room by team-mates Tracy Walker and Imogen Abergynolwyn. When Mayer discovered that Bare was in no fit state to continue, she decided to bring on Pauline Docker for the second half. Even though Docker's nose was all covered in plasters after yesterday's encounter with a seagull, Mayer decided against putting on Susy Landsend "because we can't afford to let any more goals in, and Susy will do just that".
Out came the Rordettes for the second half, and they managed to keep the scoreline at 2-0 for just eight minutes. Qazox co-captain Sunny Powers ran rings around the Rordian defence before nutmegging Docker to make the score 3-0. Mayer couldn't take anymore, and she substituted off-colour striker Cortney van Kol and replaced her with defender Alison Moreau. While the change did no good for Rordia's attack, their defence didn't leak any more goals in the game. By the time the referee blew the whistle for full-time, Rordia's players were inconsolable. Although they had just been thrashed by a world-class team, it felt like they had been humilated by a pub team.
Mayer fumed: "My players should grow up. There was no way we were going to beat Qazox - they are just too strong for us at the moment. Nobody showed any heart at all - only Lucy Bare gave 100%, and she's now in hospital for goodness sake! But the others really need to get their heads together if we are to beat New Montreal States and Toranat in our next group games."
When asked about Joanne Turner's performance, she replied: "No comment." Meanwhile, Turner is said to have stormed out of the stadium and walked off to the team hotel. Onlookers believe that she is ready to pack her bags and leave the squad.
In Pool E's other game, New Montreal States won a tight match 3-2 against Toranat. That means Rordia have started their WWC campaign at the foot of their pool. They really have a lot of work to do if they are to qualify for the next round.
RORDIA XI: Bare (Docker 45); Montréal, Walker, Lewis, Turner (Bayley 11); Williamson, Abergynolwyn, Richardson (c), Cooper; Baker, van Kol (Moreau 54).
Wentland
03-09-2006, 16:50
The Wentland team ran out for the opening game against Magnus Valerius. They were not overly impressed. "Eurgh, this rain is going to make things tricky..."
"And it'll ruin our nice new change kits," said fashion-conscious shampoo model Thalia Pellegrini.
"The key's gonna be to get things out to the wing," said Lucinda Rhodes. "There's less standing water there...but the midfield's gonna cut up...Meld, your power's gonna be useful there..."
From kick-off the team promptly tried to get the ball over to Pui Lee but the ball held up in the standing water and a sliding tackle sent the ball out of play. And the wingers found to their cost that the unusual structure of the roof was concentrating the rain in various odd places which meant a run down the wing was as likely to be interrupted by a stream of unexpected water as by an opposing defender.
Most of the play was taking place in the Magnus Valerius half but it was dreadful stuff. The Lady Boyars were soaking up the pressure metaphorically and the drizzle literally. The penalty area was getting more and more churned up until it looked like a quagmire.
After 40 minutes Yates finally bombed over a killer cross. Pellegrini was up but did not make a move for it. "C'mon, Sham...you could have bloody got that..." yelled Imelda Davies. "Are you thinking about your bloody hair?"
"It's not just that...there's water in my eyes and I couldn't see it..."
"Well you're gonna get the next one..."
The next one did not come straight from the second half kick-off. Yates cross, hip height, and this time Pellegrini launched herself at it. In a perfect horizontal position she met the ball and diverted it into the net.
For a very brief moment Pellegrini thought she had got away with it. This area should be pretty clean after the first half. But in the instant of landing she suddenly realized why Anne Foy got so muddy in the first half despite only making a couple of saves - she had been bellyflopping in a giant puddle to keep herself entertained.
And Thalia was landing smack dab in the middle of it.
Splash. Eurgh. All over the nice new kit.
And worse was that, over the cheers of the Wentland supporters, she could hear a yell from Imelda Davies. "GET HERRR!!!"
The Blue Tits piled on top of Thalia Pellegrini in their joy at taking the lead. Thalia felt her head being pushed into the mire beneath her and when the team had disassembled themselves she looked in horror as her bronze shirt was a fetching shade of brown. Very seventies.
"Cheer up, Sham," said Lucinda Rhodes as they trudged back to the halfway line with muddy boots. "They say it's good for the skin."
Ah well, thought Thalia, in for a farthing, in for a guinea. Twenty minutes later she slid in to turn home a Lee cross through the self-same puddle she hurled herself into it. And when sub Honey Weeks made it three with almost her first touch she decided that her fellow striker should not get away unscathed and pulled her into the mud for a wallowy celebration.
The one fly in the ointment was the goal conceded. Edwina Bluff decided to blood Kirsten Cassidy to allow Anne Foy at least to make a start on cleaning her kit but Cassidy's only task in the game was to pick the ball out of the net. A harmless long-ball got stuck in the mud and as Cassidy launched herself at it a striker beat her to it and made it 3-1.
Still, a good start for the Blue Tits. With Spaam losing unexpectedly to Virginia Nova Wentland had immediately shortened their odds for progressing, but it added a frisson to the game against the Lady Eagles.

Divensi lose first ever match
The Divensi Defenders have lost their first ever match against real opposition as our unnamed women off the street lost to Liverpool England 3-0.
*Man puts down article*
"WE LOST 3-0! HOW BAD IS THIS TEAM?!?"
"Pretty bad sir, remember you told me to pick 11 random women off the street"
"One is 60 years old, One is 3 years old, two of them said they like takilan football better, and one is an immigrant from a country I've never heard of."
"Ok then, hold try outs, make them one day and the 11 best will form our team"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, anything is better than 2 takilans on a team."
"True that, true that."
Wentland
04-09-2006, 22:27
It was estimated that the streets of Bransford were filled with around twenty two thousand Wents, mainly clad in the royal blue that their team would wear.
Unfortunately the Bransford Municipal Stadium could only hold 45,000 and with various packages being held back for sponsors, locals and neutral supporters only twelve thousand tickets were available for Wentland.
"It's a disgrace," claimed Otto Sump of the Wentland Supporters' Club. "How come we have the smallest stadium? We were quarter finalists last time, semi finalists the time before that and took the bronze. Yet Qutar and UIE have nearly forty thousand each for their wooden spoon match. How come they've fobbed us off with Bransford?"
Although angry at the stadium allocation the Wentland supporters were not venting their fury at the hosts. The area around the ground had giant visiscreens in strategic areas and train travel had been suspended during the match so those without tickets were able to soak up the atmosphere whilst watching the match - and hearing the sound effects inside.
It was an eerie experience for the Blue Tits. Walking out they were met with a wall of sound. On three sounds the noise rolled down from the tiers of seats...whilst the cheers outside from those without tickets rivalled those of the lucky ones within the ground.

Dear Dazza
I'm official bored. Just realised how boring the Fumbles family really is - no one has any concept of fun. My brothers and sisters spend all their reading the bible or related literature while my parents spend most of their time preaching the bible. I'm the odd one out it seems. They say I spent far too much time on football - wasting my life going to training, playing 90 minutes once in a while and going home. I do some bible reading and go to Church every Sunday, but the local church people are as boring as my family. The stupid thing is I earn 4 times more than the rest of family combined - Jerusalem United keeps my family fed and healthy. The rest of the family work for peanuts at various church-related. They complain when I spend money, but I earn more income than they do! People are silly sometimes.
I miss your insanity. You drive me nuts, but then at least you're paying attention to me, maybe too much but it's better than none. My family don't actually like you because you're Catholic, and they are Protestant and you dress like "whore" says my grandmother. Actually, I think they don't like Russo-Germans for some reason, and we aren't even Jewish! I prefer smart crazy people to dumb uneducated ignorant people now.
Getting my family into intellectual conversations is impossible as they always fall back to the bible when they are losing. Doesn't surprise as no one in my family have even gone to university as my family never have money. If we do, it goes to the Church. I'd like to go to university, so I'm saving up to go Jerusalem University - I'm sure you'd have no problems getting in but my high school scores weren't the best. I'd follow into uni - even if my folks complain. Save save save, must save money so I can go places.
Thanks for the new computer game for my XBOX 1000. I know it's probably from your surplus but I don't get computer games from anyone else apart from my friends. Funny thing, as soon as I was playing Ninja Girl IV, all my brothers and sisters wanted to have a game too. One of characters look like you, and well guess who I use too KICK ASS of my siblings? I'm getting better but I haven't beat you in an computer game yet. Oh yes, I'm not allowed to play CounterStrike as home because it too violent but I can play Ninja games, strange.
I heard it is "freaking" cold out there in Rorysville. I hope you don't catch a cold, as they aren't nice. Due to bad hygiene of my younger siblings, colds spread like the plague in my house. Good thing football has built up my immune system and I don't suffer badly. The last flu was pretty bad though. Some people in my family still can't work out how to sneeze away from someone else.
That vacation in Nedalia with you was something weird. I under-behaved and you totally misbehaved. Maybe, that's how this relation actually works - we kinda offset each other's insanities. I don't need to buy pr0n when I have you around - but then I've worked out why your sister has so many kids. Damn I miss all the attention, some who cares about me as a person and not another slave to my Church. Bring some gifts but I don't really have to ask - you'll overdo it.
Love
Finn Fumbles

LAKE PORTER SUN
The strange elctro-magnetic asteroid that has caused much confusion around the Continuum still is bothering transmissions around the world and assuch the 1st three days of the Women's World Cup were not shown in Qazox, but we do have the scores:
MD1: Qazox 3- Rordia 0 at Wildcat Stadium: (goals scored by: Kelli Renoir 5th minute, Andrea Childress, 11th minute, Sunny Powers 53rd minute)
MD2: Bye
and for the 2nd match against Toranat, at Rangers Stadium; Qazox once again came out strong and in the 14th minute, Kelli Renoir scored to make it 1-0 Qazox. But Toranat didn't roll over like Rordia. In the 28th minute, Kelsi Opaline scored to tie the match at 1-1, but Toranat wasn't finished as they took only 4 minutes to score again this time, Katelynn Hughes, scored to give Toranat a 2-1 lead which they took into the half.
The Lady Oxen, after possibly recieving a sharp tongue lashing by Head Coach Kylie Rena, came out in the second half and within 20 minutes the 2-1 deficit was gone and Qazox had a 4-2 lead that lasted to the end. In 50th minute, Rene LaTreque scored off a croos by Andrea Childress to tie the match. After an awful Toranat corner which curved into the crowd, Kelli RenoirScored here 2nd goal of the match in the 58th minute weaving through the defenders with skill. The final goal in the 65th minute, came off the foot of Aki Fa'Mau-Tana, whose gaol tied her for the all-time lead with 15.
Up next is New Montreal States, a powerhouse football nation with something to prove after failing to qualify for WWC3. should be one of the better matches on day 5.

Two losses to begin the tournament and things are looky pretty dismal around the team's hotel. Players are even refusing media contact of any sorts, which has this reporter quite worried as to what the manager might be doing to the lasses. One should hope that nothing illegal or immoral is taking place , and that the team is preparing dilgently for their next oppenent, and trying to work some chemistry. For now we must all wait and wonder.

Rordettes World Cup Update
Rordia 0-4 New Montreal States - at Wildcat Stadium
Morale in the Rordia camp is rock bottom after a 4-0 spanking by the New Montreal States. The Rordettes are now bottom of the group after two games with a -7 goal difference.
Rordia boss Charlotte Mayer made several changes to her starting line-up, but it didn't give them any points. It only took NMS ten minutes to find the net, as poor marking from Justine Montréal and Alison Moreau allowed a striker to run past them and fire home. The Rordettes wanted to go home when NMS scored again in the 23rd minute. Mayer was so furious that she ran onto the pitch and confronted keeper Pauline Docker. Docker then headbutted Mayer, and was given a red card as her punishment. Mayer was also sent off - she'd have to watch the rest of the game from the stands, if she wanted to.
Rordia could have brought on Susy Landsend to replace Docker, but instead they decided to put midfielder Katie Phillips in goal. And to be honest, she was quite good. She constantly denied the NMS strikers from increasing their lead, and she looked like goalkeeper was her natural position. At half-time, Rordia's defenders gave Phillips a pat on the back - she was the only Rordette that had 100% commitment. In the dressing room, Mayer, who had been watching the game on TV, decided to make a change up front - Svetlana Sokolova was coming on to replace Maria Baker. But would it be a shrewd tactical decision?
The answer: no. Sokolova missed a whole host of chances, and most of her shots ended up in a spectator's arms. Meanwhile, at the other end, things weren't looking so good either. In the 57th minute, Phillips finally lost her clean sheet when an NMS winger ran past a hapless Bianca Griffiths and hit the net from 30 yards out. Then came even more bad news, as Phillips sprained her wrist while making a save in the 80th minute. She was substituted, but her replacement was not Landsend. Striker Grace Carter became the fourth Rordian to don the gloves in WWC4. A minute after coming on, Carter conceded another goal after fumbling the ball into her own net. Thankfully, Rordia's nightmare game was over.
After the game, Mayer blasted: "What on earth has happened to us? Have our players spent the night in a nightclub? They were completely useless, and to be honest, we'd be better off with a team of 11 statues! I am not happy, and it's absolutely vital that we don't lose to Toranat. If we do, then God knows how angry I'll be!"
In the pool's other game, Qazox maintained their 100% record with a 4-2 defeat of Toranat. Qazox and NMS both have six points after two games, while Toranat and Rordia are bottom with zero. So that means that the loser of the Toranat vs Rordia game will almost certainly be going home early.
RORDIA XI: Docker; Montréal, Moreau, Lewis, Bayley; Williamson, Phillips (Carter 80), Richardson (c), Griffiths (Cooper 65); Baker (Sokolova 45), Hughes. Booked: Montréal, Richardson. Sent Off: Docker.
No worse than expected
After two matches, the Dames en Rouge are struggling yet again in the all-female event of the World Cup, prompting fears that the ladies’ team will never rise above its record of mediocre performances. Despite featuring several players from the mixed-gender team, the squad simply did not shine.
New coach Juanita Jimenez has perpetuated the team’s strategy of focusing on attack, but the Dames en Rouge were at the receiving end of all the action in their opening game against Becquerelia, and, when faced with Yafor 2, were only able to score by leaving their defence wide open – conceding four goals and scoring only two.
In consequence, Ariddia has already dropped to the bottom of its group, and supporters back home are losing interest in the Women’s Cup.
“This makes absolutely no sense!” attacker Michelle Dru exclaimed in frustration after the second match. “Most of us are used to working together and performing well. We do great in the other World Cup, and we won the damned Olympic silver medal for goodness’ sake! I just don’t know what it is we’re doing wrong now.”
Jimenez has attempted to reassure players and supporters alike by pointing out that these are “early days yet”, but many will be haunted by the team’s poor performance in previous Cups.

Thalia Pellegrini was HOT. Well, everyone knew that anyway, especially those nice chaps at Venus Shampoo who were paying her a fortune to appear moistly fragrant in their commercials, but after scoring two in the first World Cup match she had scored another two in the first half against Virginia Nova.
She was bubbling as the teams came off. "Did you SEE that shot? Keeper never stood a chance. Whoo! I'm on a hat-trick! We're on our way..."
Edwina Bluff had one concern though. Yet again dark clouds were coming over and threatened to turn the second half into a lottery. Nikki Griffin was busy preparing the nylon stud boots but for the first few minutes after the restart the Lady Eagles were throwing everything to get back into the game and when Jones slipped in the area Mayor made no mistake to bring it back to 2-1.
Then the rain came. Much to the delight of Edwina Bluff, and to the chagrin of Thalia Pellegrini, it bucketed it down. "Aw, no...I've only just got clean from the last game..."
And suddenly it was Virginia Nova struggling. The Swifts were able to keep their feet much more easily and Honey Weeks, who had been preferred to Gemma Hunt, rose above the Lady Eagles to power home a header from a Yates cross for 3-1.
But Pellegrini was still after that elusive hat-trick whilst trying to keep her hair clean. And Tricia Yates had a wicked sense of humour to go with her wicked right foot. After some poor crosses, and with a minute to go she decided that the time was right to put Pellegrini out of her misery - and curled in a beautiful low cross.
As Pellegrini launched herself instinctively at the ball, she had the most appalling sense of deja vu. And as she picked herself up from the pack of celebrating Blue Tits, and glanced down at her now brown shirt and shorts, she sighed...OK, the match ball was hers, but she was going to have to use plenty of her sponsor's product to be clean for the big Spaam game...
And as they came off the pitch the rain stopped. It was a localized shower. Damn damn damn.

Dear Finny Boy
Oi, I told you you'd get bored when I'm not around. The sooner you move out of home, the better. Control freaks ruin your life. You're 21 and you're welcome to move into my place, but there's lots of little Dallas kids to keep you insane too. None are mine (yet, yet).
If you get really bored, drive over my place and grab that stash of old games piled near my PC. There is a condition, they go back there in same condition. I don't want stupid kids ruining my computer games because they can't be bother to put it back in the case and leaving them for dogs to shred or babies to suck on.
Rorysville is nice play, but it's too damn cold. I'm use to it but it doesn't mean I like the cold. And it rains alot. I know water is good for you and all, and Jeruselem doesn't have much fresh water but it is rains all day? The locals are used it but not me. Give a nice sunny day and I'm happy. So what do I do? Train in the rain, play in the rain and hide indoors when there's no training or game time. Thank God for computers, eh?
Well, as you know I'm team captain and you've been watching every second of the games over here. It's hard work but I don't intend to fail at all. The first game was bit of mess but it looks like the team are finally getting all settled. The veterans are really helpful as they been here and done that, but young girls are still homesick. Me, been to World Cup XXX and I'm used to it now. Err, not many guys to chat up here but you know me - gotta talk and talk and talk. OK, I sometimes I get homesick but representing your country is not something to dismiss. Dazza at two Women's World cups and one World Cup - not bad!
I don't have cold or flu yet but I'm not going near your younger siblings. At home, my sister's kids are trained not to be unhygienic because we tell them God will do bad things to them. Works well! I guess your parents should do the same. Or maybe we just put them in quarantine for the next 10 years?
I hope you enjoy those little videos I sent to your phone, you know the ones your parents call pr0n. OK, most of time I'm not wearing a lot but Dazza isn't some innocent clean white virgin type. I just a naughty Catholic schoolgirl. Don't leave the Bluetooth on your mobile on either - some idiot might hack into it you know. One was done when my brain wasn't working, you know which one but I know you enjoy them all the same.
I'm thinking of doing my uni part time. Football life isn't conducive to full time soccer as we all know. Do uni part time and spread the cost over time. I want to do a journalist degree with top honours so when my body can't play soccer, I'm be doing a Rachel Kool.
One of knees is a little stiff. The physio does great job in keeping me and girls all fit for battle but I think that injury I picked up during the World Cup was the cause. It's all strapped during game time to keep it warm and so I don't trip over myself all the time.

There was a flurry of activity at the Northlands stadium before the Wentland-Spaam game. "Hello," asked Nikki Griffin, "what's going on?"
"Just some freshening-up work," said a stadium official. "The rains last week were heavier than normal so we need to top up the paintwork, it got a bit damp."
"Just so long as it doesn't get on Sham's hair, eh?" said Rachel Horne to general sniggering.
Edwina Bluff had decided for the first game agaisnt Spaam that Honey Weeks, who had looked sharp in the last game, should start up front with Pellegrini. Also Crisell had a slight thigh strain and so Ellie Beavan was preferred at left-back.
Jemma James, who had been disappointing in previous World Cups, had been given a surprising start alongside Imelda Davies. Stacey Cadman, normally a fixture in the team, was aghast, but Bluff said she needed a rest after constant football over the previous season - she had been an ever-present in the Women's League. Plus, thought Bluff, James has something to prove...let's see how she does...
"You suck. We are doing so poorly and now we even have a team of people who play football. Yet we still lost 4-1. What gives?"
"First, we have not totally drilled in total karela with these girls. They are young and have really played competitive international football."
"So, they still should not be conceding 10 goals."
"True, also, the team still lacks experience and skill to follow the difficult path of Karela. It is a path chosen by a few for a reason it is much harder to stifle the natural instinct to be aggressive and to stop the opposition. Sayings like "The best defense is a good offense" show the world's want for more offense. The Karelan needs to stifle these instincts and needs to have the skill to back it up. As of right now they are stifling the instincts well but do not yet have the skill to stop the ball from scoring."
"What must we do then to get the skill?"
"Wait till next cup and train harder."
"Ok."

Cherries On Top
First spot in Group G
In their fourth Women's World Cup, Starblaydia's Cherries are on bit of a roll. Three wins in a row and undefeated in the four Grou p games so far is a string of results that the Women's side have not been able to put together in their history save at the Tyrellian Ylompics, where they won the bronze medal. They also finished fourth at the more-recent Ashford Olympics, but so far have not come close to glory in the Women's World Cup. A tenth-place finish in WWC2 has been the peak of achievements for this tournament so far but so far, with a win over Liverpool England under their collective belts, the Cherries are perhaps on their way to something special.
This 4-3-3 formation is certainly beginning to work out for the Cherries, with the triumvirate of Jackie Maitland, Janica Rocca and Kaza Matranga up front, ably supported by Talenii Karo, Tara Niodonna and Marissa Cortez. At the very back, don't forget another World Cup threesome, Paola Mendez in goal and Tabitha Di Bradini and Magdelena Ruiz at full-back.

Ariddians astonished by win
Just when the critics were beginning to say the situation was hopeless, the Dames en Rouge hosted Vilita, seemingly undeterred by the nation’s flagging confidence in their abilities.
And then proceeded to stun said nation by thoroughly thrashing their opponents.
Najmah Majrashi got her team off to a confident start by scoring in the sixth minute, while the Vilitans were still getting the feel of the game. Jostled into responding, the latter counter-attacked, but Ariddia’s defence held steadily, and Michelle Dru made the most of Vilita’s focus on attack to score a second goal in the eleventh minute.
After that, the Vilitan defence pulled itself together and held fast for the remainder of the first half. A shot by Kyaw narrowly skimmed over the top bar in the twenty-eighth minute, while the Vilitan keeper superbly blocked one of Nathalie Simon’s in the thirty-fifth.
Not content with a two goal lead, the Dames en Rouge resumed their attacks in earnest, and cheers erupted from Ariddian supporters when Hanifah Kyaw finally made it three-nil in the fiftieth minute. And that was more or less that as far as Vilita’s hopes went. Unable to find an adequate response to the Dames’ playing style, they conceded twice more – to Kyaw and Majrashi – and Ariddia finished triumphantly with a morale-boosting score of 5-0.
“That’s the kind of playing we’d all been hoping for!” one fan said. “They played superbly. Just as they did during the Olympics!”
Nonetheless, Ariddia remains third in Pool B. But the Dames en Rouge have regained their honour, with great style.
Rordettes World Cup Update
Toranat 0-2 Rordia - at Rangers Stadium
Rordia have sealed their first win of their Women's World Cup 4 campaign, beating Toranat 2-0.
However, it wasn't all plain sailing for the Rordettes. They started the game on the back foot, and in the 6th minute, Toranat striker Kalysta Chrysanta came within inches of scoring. Five minutes later, Rordia defender Justine Montréal conceded a penalty after barging into Katelynn Hughes. Montréal was booked for her troubles, but Lucy Bare spared her blushes by saving Hughes' penalty. In the 34th minute, another Hughes had the chance to score from the penalty spot, as Rordian pocket rocket Bernie Hughes was sent tumbling down by Mojca Martina. But like her namesake, Hughes sent her shot into the hands of the keeper - Doretta Erika.
The half-time whistle blew with the score still at 0-0. Rordia coach Charlotte Mayer gave her team a team talk with more swear words than "Graham Ramsley's F***ing Food" television show. She also made two substitutions. Misfiring Grace Carter was hauled off to be replaced by Cortney van Kol, while Katie Phillips came on for the shaky Bianca Griffiths. Both substitutions would eventually be key to Rordia's victory.
With 53 minutes on the clock, Rordia made a breakthrough and scored their first goal of the tournament. Nicki Cooper dribbled past Toranat's left-sided players before crossing to Hughes, who saw her shot saved by Erika. But van Kol was on hand to fire home and send the Rordettes into the lead. The scoreline became 2-0 in the 76th minute. Phillips did a one-two with captain Kelly Richardson before lobbing the ball to van Kol, who volleyed it into the back of the net. Rordia's win was in the bag, but in the 88th minute came a low point for them. Young defenders Tracy Walker and Claire Bayley had a heated argument and nearly came to blows. Luckily, Richardson resolved the situation, and Walker and Bayley only got bookings.
A jubilent Mayer said: "That was the first time our players actually bothered to give 100%, and I'm very glad they did give 100%. That's our first win in the bag, and we're back in contention. A defeat would have been disastrous for us. But thankfully, Cortney was on hand to score two superb goals and give us that all-important victory. Next up, we've got Qazox. If we beat them, then we'll be neck-and-neck with them in terms of points. But a defeat means we will almost certainly be going home early."
In a top-of-the-pool clash, New Montreal States triumphed 4-3 over Qazox. That means that Rordia's hopes of progressing to the knockout stage remain intact. However, that could very well change when they play Qazox.
RORDIA XI: Bare; Montréal, Walker, Moreau (Lewis 80), Bayley; Abergynolwyn, Griffiths (Phillips 45), Richardson (c), Cooper; Carter (van Kol 45), Hughes. Booked: Montréal, Abergynolwyn, Walker, Bayley.
ABERGYNOLWYN TO THE RESCUE!
Midfielder Imogen Abergynolwyn has said she is willing to solve Rordia's defensive problem.
The Rordettes have Justine Montréal suspended from their next match against Qazox. Joanne Turner hasn't been seen since storming out of the stadium during Rordia's previous encounter with the Lady Oxen, while Alison Moreau has a throat infection. Head coach Charlotte Mayer is also unwilling to play Tracy Walker and Claire Bayley at the same time after yesterday's bust-up.
But Imogen has vowed to help, saying: "Oi'm prepared to player en diffencer 'n salve or problem. Oi'm a vairy voisatail player, and oi vil do anyzing for Wardayer. If the lady bossy wantser meh to player in goalkepper, oi vil happerly do zat."
Please bear in mind that Imogen has an unusal accent, and the person who interviewed her is not very good at translating.
Wentland
07-09-2006, 20:50
Thalia Pellegrini stood in the coach park, thinking "don't cry, don't cry, they're all looking..." as her team-mates looked on in hysterics.
It had all gone so well as well. Eighty-eighth minute with Wentland holding on to a precarious 2-1 lead a corner kick was punched out, wellied on by Jemma James and Thalia was off and running with 80 yards to cover and Spaam defenders desperately chasing back. But she'd kept her head, dummied the one challenge that came in and curled a left-foot belter just inside the far post. 3-1, her second hat-trick in consecutive games, and even Spaam's goal with the last kick could not dampen her joy. It had even been dry.
And as the Wentland team emerged from the dressing-room she had another surprise. "Thalia, some people from Northlands TV want to speak to you. About appearing on a kids' TV show?" said Edwina Bluff. "Normally that would be a no-no, but we've got time for the next match and you deserve something because of your work. So long as the fee goes in the team kitty, of course."
"Of course! But this could be a break...thanks, boss!"
The agent for NTV spoke to her. "Shall we speak over here? Sorry about the mess...it's a bit chaotic with all the renovation going on..."
The agent explained that she would be invited on to a television programme to be interviewed and then take part in a comic sketch - she would have to read amusing news stories. "It's great fun, they like celebrities taking part and will be really good publicity. Plus it'll make Wentland a bit better known to the kids as well as being a plus for the tournament."
"Sounds great. Where shall I sign?"
"Here's the contract, all fairly standard...do you need someone to look at it for you?"
"No, it looks clear enough..."
Pellegrini leant on a wooden plank to sign the contract. It was finely balanced on a fulcrum and the other end shot up. "Oops, sorry."
As Thalia turned to lean the contract on the wall, she did not notice that the plank had struck the plank of wood on the level above which the painters used to stand on. The knock on wood jogged the upper plank and tilted it slightly. On the end of the plank stood an open pot of white paint that was resting against a safety board at the bottom of the plank. The board held the pot of paint onto the newly tilted board - but not the contents of the pot, which poured out directly underneath.
The first the team knew about this was when they heard a little yell as they boarded the coach. "AAAUUGHHH!!! It's in my hair and everywhere..."
Thalia Pellegrini stumbled out into the coach car park and stood stock still, her official dark grey Wentland suit looking like a giant moa had done something disgusting over it and her long raven hair looking more like that of a dove. "It stinks!!! Anyone got any turps?"
The only response was uproarious laughter. Not that sympathetic. Never mind, thought Pellegrini, I've scored two hat-tricks and now the telly's noticed me. I'll still have the last laugh.

Newfound confidence brings new victory
Ariddia’s “Red Ladies” continue the arduous task of trying to edge back up into a qualifying position – a task made easier, however, by their confidence-boosting five-nil hammering of Vilita.
Aware that a victory against Becqueralia would be an important step towards qualifying, the Ariddian ladies gave it their very best, and opened the scoreline with an impressive two goals in rapid succession, in the twenty-fifth and twenty-seventh minutes (signed Simon and Majrashi). Becquerelia closed ranks, regrouping in defence for the remainder of the first half, but the Dames en Rouge were able to slip one more past the Becquerelian goalie, as Najmah Majrashi scored her fourth goal in two matches.
Unwilling to concede defeat despite being down by three goals, Becquerelia were in much better form in the second half, and counter-attacked skilfully. They had narrowed Ariddia’s lead to an unexpected 3-2, before Hanifah Kyaw put an end to the worries of Ariddian fans by scoring a final goal for her team in the eightieth minute: 4-2.
“They seem to have really woken up over the past two games!” one supporter said. “They’ve dominated their opponents, and they’re playing much, much better than they were at the start of the Cup.”
Ariddia is now in second place in Pool B, but will have to continue playing well to hold on to its tenuous position.

Jeruselem Government News
Angels out-geek Geek Girls
4 qualifying game into the Women's World Cup and Dazza's team are undefeated as are five other teams without dropping a point. Jeruselem played 1337phr33kia for the 2nd time and once again won. Not the mere ONE NIL like last time, but a much better FIVE ONE. So it's four games without a loss or a even a draw for the Angels including a narrow TWO NIL win over The Lowland Clans.
Jeruselem leads Pool A conceding only 3 goals but incredibly The Lowland Clans have conceded only two goals so far - both of them in one game to Jeruselem. Pool A is clear - two good teams Jeruselem and The Lowland Clans. 1337phr33kia and San Haven get beaten everytime they meet better team.
Jeruselem, Yafor2, Wentland, New Montreal States and Swilatia have not dropped any points yet. There are more undefeated teams too, so everyone is having a field day at the expense of weaker teams. The favourites from past women's world cups are not weakening at all.
In fact, Jeruselem are on a rather long unbeaten streak starting from Women's World Cup 3 - first qualifier. Yes, no losses from cup 3 and none in 4 yet! Remember Reijistania in Under 21 Championships? We just need to win this one to match that effort! Reijistania won 3 a row, we only have two.
Jeruselem build their defense on the cup on a defense which is not quite Karelan but we score enough goals to match it with best attacks. It's the defense which is what separates us from our rivals. We don't aim for zero goals conceded per game because our mainly attacking style does not allow that. However, we concede few goals and score a lot more. The secret is so simple, the best midfield. Jeruselem strangle possession of the other team but not allowing the opposition midfield to provide supply to the attack. Add a potent attack and solid defense, and we are hard to beat.
Anyone watching our 1-0, 4-1, 2-1 and 5-1 wins so far will note our midfielders can sprint from defense to attack and back at a speed. Captain Dazza Dallas who is only 18, is known to take a ball from defense into attack dodging opponents all way when the opposition think we have slowed down. Jeruselem's ability to suddenly raise the tempo when people think we are running out of ideas is our key to success. We can also slow things down to annoy our opponent.
In other related news, team captain Dazza Dallas has earned herself a new car for leading her to qualifying. In the past, team captains didn't get anything for this but with influx of money from the increase popularity of the women's game the Jeruselem FA are now rewardining it' women's players more. Dazzas say "Whoa, it's not Ferrari though" when she got the news.
Rordettes World Cup Update
Rordia 1-3 Qazox - at Rangers Stadium
Rordia's WWC4 campaign is set to end at the group stage after a 3-1 loss to Qazox. The Rordettes must now win their last two games and hope Qazox lose their last two games if they are to reach the knockout stage.
Rordia's weakened defence held out for 20 minutes before Qazox took the lead. Andrea Childress took the ball off Becky Lewis before passing to Rene LaTreque, who curled a shot past Lucy Bare and into the net. Bare was so angry with Lewis that she threw the ball at her and knocked her unconscious. Bare was yellow-carded, but luckily, Lewis regained consciousness after two minutes. Rordia struggled for the rest of the first half, but in the 41st minute, they had drawn level. They had won a free kick after Stephanie McDonald pulled down Kelly Richardson. Imogen Abergynolwyn took the free-kick and sent the ball to Maria Baker, who headed it into the net for her first goal of the tournament.
At half-time, Rordia boss Charlotte Mayer went into the record books. She became the first womens' national team coach NOT to make a substitution at half-time! It may be a record that nobody gives a monkey's about, but it's a record nonetheless. In the second half, the Rordettes started off as the better side, as Baker and Cortney van Kol both came close to putting them 2-1 up. And in the 56th minute, Qazox defender Olivia Garden was sent off for a cynical lunge on van Kol. Five minutes later, Qazox brought on defender Winnie D'Poh as a substitute. Rordia winger Nicki Cooper made a joke about D'Poh's name, and the sub then floored her with a hard punch. D'Poh was sent off for her actions.
Rordia were now two women up, and they almost took the lead in the 68th minute. Only a Juila Kidd save denied Katie Phillips her moment of glory. Three minutes later, disaster struck for Rordia, as Kelli Renoir scored from 40 yards out to send Qazox into a 2-1 lead. Qazox made that 3-1 in the 81st minute after a magnificent overhead kick from Renoir. That was her third goal against the Rordettes in WWC4. As the final whistle blew, Rordia's hopes of reaching the last sixteen had all but vanished.
After the match, Mayer said: "We were disgraceful in those last 20 minutes. We were far too arrogant for those dying moments. When it was 1-1, our players just sat back and hoped for a point. But there was no way we were going to draw against Qazox by sitting back. I want much more determination from my players against New Montreal States and Toranat. If they're not 100% determined, then we definitely won't be going through."
In the other Pool E game, New Montreal States secured their place in the knockouts with a 6-0 humiliation of Toranat. The Lady Rockies are now out of contention after losing their first four games. Pool E's other knockout berth will almost certainly go to Qazox, but Rordia have a very slim chance of taking it from their grasp. However, anything less than 6 points will see Rordia bow out at the first hurdle.
RORDIA XI: Bare; Walker, Lewis (Bayley 76), Abergynolwyn; Williamson (Griffiths 76), Phillips, Richardson (c), Cooper; Baker, van Kol, Hughes (Sokolova 65). Booked: Bare, Williamson, Griffiths.
AWOL TURNER RETURNS!
Joanne Turner has finally returned to Rordia's training camp after going AWOL from their last three games.
Defender Turner walked out of the Wildcat Stadium after being substituted during Rordia's opening-day loss to Qazox. She hadn't been seen since, until she arrived at the camp earlier today. She then revealed all to fellow defender Becky Lewis:
Becky Lewis: Joanne? Where the f***ing heck have you been?
Joanne Turner: Me? Oh, I've just been travelling around Kingston looking for the perfect girl.
BL: The perfect girl? What do you mean?
JT: I'm talking about a life partner! You know, someone to get married to and have it off with...
BL: Why do you want a girl as a life partner? Are you a...
JT: Yep, I'm a le...
BL: Shh! (Whispering) Bianca's homophobic, and she'll scream if she hears you say it!
JT: She's a wimp.
BL: No she's not! Now, back to the topic... have you found the woman of your dreams, or is everyone scared of you?
JT: Nah, not everyone! I've flirted with one of the Qazox players, but they turned me down. However, I have started a relationship with her sister.
BL: Oh, how nice! Do you want to tell anyone about it?
JT: That's just what I'm going to do... EVERYBODY LISTEN!
Kelly Richardson: Joanne? You're back?
JT: Yep, and I have to announcement to make. I, Joanne Turner, am a lesbian!
Bianca Griffiths: (Screams)
And so Joanne Turner is Rordia's first lesbian footballer.
Wentland
08-09-2006, 21:03
So Thalia Pellegrini did not get her triple hat-trick, but she notched another one, along with Jemma James, her substitute replacement Stacey Cadman and Honey Weeks as Wentland cruised into the Round of 16 with an easy 4-0 drubbing of Magnus Valerius. Spaam's 6-2 demolition of Virginia Nova, gaining revenge from the first match, means they are favourites for runner-up spot and if Wentland defeat the VNs Spaam are almost certainly through.
Edwina Bluff therefore decided that, to be fair to both teams, she could play reserves in both remaining matches. Magnus Valerius had played a pretty under-strength team as the likes of Layton and Greenwood were given rare starts and Kirsten Cassidy came on for the last half-hour - and kept a clean sheet.
And Thalia Pellegrini was very, very pleased to finish a match in as fragrant a state as she started. Especially as she was due at the television studio that night to record her part for Northlands Television.
"Oh, yeah, Sham...which programme is it?" asked Lucinda "Sis" Rhodes.
"It's called Emma and Sally's Cavalcade of Whimsy," she replied.
"You're joking?" said Ellie "Hedge"Crisell, with a note of astonishment and a hint of a chuckle in her voice.
"No, that's the one...set in a big top or something...why, do you know it?"
"I've seen it with my little niece, on the satellite...she loves it...are you going to do the newsreading?"
"Er, yes...why?"
"Oh, that's the, er, highlight of the show. Only the very best guest stars get to do that..."
"Oh, goody! This could be a career break...well, see you, serfs..."
With that Pellegrini was limousined off to Northland TV studios.
"What's the newsreading bit, then, Hedge?" asked KC.
"Well...let's put it this way...we MUST get a tape of that show..."

LEWIS: I'M NOT GAY!
Rordia defender Becky Lewis has denied claims that she is dating Qazox midfielder Andrea Childress.
After Rordia's 1-3 loss to Qazox, Lewis' defensive partner Joanne Turner came out as a lesbian and revealed she was dating a Lady Oxen player's sister. And shortly afterwards, Andrea Childress came out and said that she was dating Lewis. But Becks says this is totally untrue.
Lewis said: "I am not a lesbian. Joanne's the only gay in our village, and it will stay that way. I am totally straight, and I am currently dating Ahmed Saheed - a member of the Rordia men's team. Rumours of me dating Andrea Childress are totally off the mark, but I have to admit she's quite cute."
So, Joanne Turner is still Rordia's only lesbian footballer. Stay tuned for the New Montreal States vs Rordia match report, and to find out if any other Rordettes have confirmed their sexuality.
Wentland
09-09-2006, 12:37
The team got on board the coach for the fifth match. Edwina Bluff had named an entire reserve team for the start; Kirsten Cassidy in goal, Cutie Quddus making her debut at right-back, the newly-married Heather Jay taking over the captain's armband for the game and Leigh Fraser starting for the first time in midfield.
Thalia Pellegrini had been strangely quiet on her television appearance when she returned from the studio. "How did it go?" asked Lucinda Rhodes on the bus when it started.
"Oh, OK...I think it went well..."
"When are they broadcasting it?"
"Um, dunno...presumably today, whilst we're playing."
"Oh, so we can't see it then?"
"Probably not, no. It's a kids' show, you wouldn't enjoy it."
Rachel Horne had a gleam in her eye. "Did you get good coverage?"
"Eh? What?"
"You know. Publicity."
"Oh. I suppose it will do, yes."
Ellie Crisell said it was a shame that the team couldn't see it, so they may as well put on a video to entertain them on the way to the stadium.
So the video went in and Thalia Pellegrini watched in horror as the whizz-cut opening titles slowly formed themselves into a gloopy title...
Emma and Sally's
CAVALCADE OF WHIMSY
"Where did you get that?"
"Oh, the studio delivered it. They thought we'd might like to see it..."
Horne fast-forwarded through the initial skits, jokes and games. Thalia had not seen much of this but was astonished at how quick the show was. Her interview was an oasis of calm...and everyone on the bus cheered when she said scoring hat-tricks was not difficult when you had a good team around you...
Emma: But you are the star of the team, aren't you?
Thalia: Well, if you say so...
Jeering all round.
Horne fast-forwarded again to the end bit...
Sally: And after the break it's time for the Closing Goos...with our guest goos-reader Thalia Pellegrini...
Thalia: What?
Thalia had half-heard what was said but Sally reassured her all she had to do was get behind a desk and read out what she had read in rehearsal. Thalia had said it wasn't that funny but agreed to do it anyway. "It'll be funny when you do the real thing, Thalia...it's all in the context of the show..."
So when Thalia sat behind a desk with plastic on the floor she had not considered anything amiss.
After the first couple of "stories", which finished in groan-inducing puns, she came to the final item...
Thalia: And Agatha Montagu, the owner of the Sweetly Pudding Factory, won her divorce battle with her ex-husband in Court today over who looks after the children. She got custody.
Emma [off-screen]: She got what?
Thalia [puzzled]: Custody.
The camera caught Thalia's confused look - which then turned to sheer mouth-open horror as she realized why there was plastic all over the floor...the contents of about six buckets of custard were making their way to her.
Thalia [dripping yellow]: AUGGHHH!!
Sally [off-screen]: There's one more story!
Thalia [looking forlorn behind a gooey mask of eggy milk]: Her ex-husband, who owns the Oaty Breakfast Cereal factory, was arrested for a breach of the divorce order. He is now doing porridge.
Emma: [off-screen]: Doing what?
Thalia [resigned]: Porridge...AUUUGGHHH!!!
The credits rolled and Rachel turned off the video. "Well, I'm very impressed. No other Wentland player has ever received such mainstream coverage..."

Rordettes World Cup Update
New Montreal States 4-2 Rordia - at Rangers Stadium
Sadly for Rordia, their WWC4 campaign will end at the group stage. They have been beaten 4-2 by New Montreal States, and must now fight it out with Toranat for Pool E's wooden spoon.
The Rordettes had started oh so well, with Cortney van Kol scoring from 25 yards in the 3rd minute. Van Kol then had several chances to increase Rordia's lead, but none of them really troubled the NMS keeper. And in the 16th minute, that keeper played a big part in her side's equaliser. She took a goal kick which ended up in Rordia's end, and an NMS midfielder volleyed into the net from 30 yards out. The scoreline became 2-1 to the pool leaders just four minute later, as a defensive error from Claire Bayley allowed a striker to run past her and slot the ball home.
Rordia had gone from 1-0 up to 2-1 down in just four minutes! But the nightmare was not over yet, as NMS went 3-1 ahead in the 26th minute. This time, Tracy Walker failed to clear the ball in time as another striker sent a thunderbolt past Pauline Docker. Walker and Bayley, who had clashed against Toranat earlier in the tournament, had another massive argument after that goal. 15 seconds into the argument, 'Ginger' Bayley sent Walker crashing to the floor with a hard punch. She was then sent off, and then went on to knock out the referee. Looks like her tournament's over, then...
Things got better for Rordia in the second half, as they pegged a goal back on the hour mark. Bernie Hughes crossed the ball to Bianca Griffiths, who then sent a header past the keeper to make it 3-2. But when Griffiths received a peck on the cheek from Joanne Turner, she screamed and ran off the pitch and into the changing room. Her replacement was Teri Williamson, who also scored a goal ten minutes later. Sadly for Rordia, it was in the wrong net. Williamson made a 20-yard back-pass to Pauline Docker, but the keeper failed to clear it up and the ball went into the net. It was a sad end to the game for the Rordettes, who must now avoid a two-goal defeat against Toranat if they are to stay clear of Pool E's bottom spot.
Rordia head coach Charlotte Mayer was not very pleased with the performance. She said: "We were f***ing useless! Mind you, they were top of the pool, but we were still f***ing useless! Teri's f***ing useless, Pauline's f***ing useless, Claire's f***ing useless and Joanne's... a f***ing lesbian!" And with that she stormed off and fired a host of other swear words in her players' faces.
Qazox have qualified for the knockout stage after a 3-1 win against Toranat, who stay bottom of the pool. Rordia's last opponents are Toranat, and they know that even a one-goal defeat will be enough to stop them from finishing bottom.
RORDIA XI: Docker; Montréal (Turner 45), Lewis, Walker, Bayley; Griffiths (Williamson 60), Abergynolwyn, Richardson (c), Cooper; van Kol (Baker 54), Hughes. Booked: Walker, Cooper, van Kol. Sent Off: Bayley.
CORTNEY COME HOME!
The Rordettes have been hit by the news that striker Cortney van Kol has been forced to return home early.
It is not known why van Kol has had to return to Rordia, but it is not because of a family bereavement. She has been the Rordettes' top scorer in WWC4 with three goals, and her loss is a massive blow to her team-mates.
Captain Kelly Richardson said: "We're obviously all going to miss Cortney. She's been a key member of our squad, scoring three of our five goals. But hopefully, we should be able to cope without her against Toranat. We've got Bernie (Hughes), Maria (Baker) and Svetlana (Sokolova) in our team, and they're all very good scorers. Oh, and Grace (Carter) as well, but everyone knows she's useless."
In other news, Becky Lewis has decided to donate 500,000 Qazoxian Zaqs to lesbian rights group GAGA (Girls And Girls Allowed). The Lake Porter Sun newspaper in Qazox have stumped up the cash after wrongly reporting that Lewis was dating Lady Oxen midfielder Andrea Childress. Andrea is in fact dating Joanne Turner, who secretly told our reporter she is considering proposing to her.

"Top of the group, and having a laugh..."
The Wentland supporters were utterly delighted with the performance of the reserves; Kirsten Cassidy kept a clean sheet up until the 80th minute by which time the Blue Tits were 4 goals to the good. Two for Honey Weeks, one for Mo Sule and Thalia Pellegrini came off the bench (to the delight of the neutrals, who had seen her on television just before the game) to keep her scoring streak going.
Con"cutie" Quddus had proved an excellent deputy at right-back, creating two of the goals with exquisite chipped passes from the wing that invited finishing. However she picked up a knock which will keep her out of the Spaam game.
***
With some time off before the next game the team had different plans. Thalia Pellegrini had nothing set up but Stacey Cadman had an idea. "Sham, a bunch of us are going fishing at the lake...fancy coming?"
"You must be joking, I'll probably get soaked, the way things are going. My poor hair..."
"It's OK, you don't need to fish, just come for the craic?"
"Oh, alright then...I think I could do with some relaxation..."
"Good-oh. There's only tiddlers anyway, there's rumours of a giant pike but not much chance of landing that."
Dames en Rouge now unstoppable?
The away match against Yafor 2 was to be the big one for Ariddia, and there were some whispered fears that the team’s upward progress may be brought to a sudden halt. Everyone agreed it would be a difficult game, and Ariddians all over the country gathered round television screens to watch the drama unfold.
The Yaforites scored the opening goal, reminding the Dames that they faced some tough opposition, but Jeanne Finnan responded with an equaliser in the thirty-fourth minute, making it an indecisive one-all come half-time.
There was some concern in the second half when Najmah Majrashi suffered a tackle which left her clutching her ankle in obvious pain, but she was back in the field six minutes later, just in time to help team mate Hanifah Kyaw take her country into a two-one lead. The Yaforites equalised once more in an increasingly close match, and it was not until the eighty-first minute that Adèle Nord scored the goal which gave Ariddia a full three points.
Despite their solid performance, the Dames en Rouge are not out of the woods yet, however – unlike Yafor 2 who have now qualified. The Ariddians will need to keep up their form a while longer if they want to qualify for the first time ever. . .

LAKE PORTER SUN
Qazox is going back to the Round of 16 after a deceptively easy 3-1 win. The score could have been even more lopsided, but the play of the subsititutes allowed Toranat to score a late goal. The scoring started in the 9th minute as Andrea Childress scored her 1st ever international goal off a penalty kick. She was taken down hard during an attempted corner, and the referee, a Howard Duck, heard a Toranat player, Mojca Martina, chastize Ms. Childress about her lifestyle choice. The referee promptly red-carded Mojca Martina for instigation, and Toranat's coach played the rest of the match under protest.
The next goal was set up by Andrea as she expertly bent a free kick into the box, and her sister, Julia Childress put the ball into the back of the net giving Qaxox a 2-0 lead at the 27 minute mark. The last Lady Oxen goal came from Stefany Heisel, one of the up-and-comers in the 70th minute to put Qazox up 3-0. a late goal by Kelsi Opaline in the 83rd minute gave th impression that the match was closer tah it truly was.
Scoring:
QAZOX: Andrea Childress (1- 9' PK), Julia Childress, (1- 27'), Stefany Heisel, (1- 70')
Toranat: Opaline- 83'
Up next in NMS which also has clinched a Round of 16 berth. Qazox needs to win by 4 goals to overtake NMS for the top spot, but its highly unlikely as both squads may rest players for the knock-out stages.

"Are you sure you don't want a go, Sham?"
"No, I'm fine here topping up my tan..."
The fishing had gone fairly well, plenty of banter between the girls who had gone and a decent tench for Jemma James to go with the other small fry that the others had got. No sign of the massive pike though. Thalia Pellegrini stayed true to her word and kept well away from the swampy water's edge to avoid another disaster.
Near the end of the day, however, she decided to make a cast or two. Lizzie Greenwood offered to show her how to do it. "It's OK, I'll just try one myself first..."
"Hey, good cast! You've done this before!"
"Oh, didn't I say I was junior champion back in Newchurch?"
"Oh wow, you've landed something already..."
***
The girls arrived back at their hotel. Edwina Bluff was in reception and asked how it went on.
Stacey Cadman was chortling. "Oh, very well...we got a few little ones but Sham managed to get that big pike on the hook..."
"Hm, did she land it?"
"See for yourself..."
Lizzie came in, followed by Jemma and Mo Sule...and then the Swamp Thing.
"Eurgh, what's that?"
Thalia Pellegrini wiped a reed out of her hair. "I hate fishing. I'm retiring."
She glooped off to her room for a shower, mud, algae and pond scum trailling after her.
"She wouldn't let go of her rod," explained Lizzie. "And that pike was bigger than we thought..."
"ZOOOOM!" said Mo. "She just shot through the air...then SPLAT!!"
Edwina Bluff looked horrified. "Is she injured?"
"No, no...fortunately the mud on the edge of the lake was very, very thick...although Sham's not feeling fortunate now..."

Dazza Dallas is reading a local newspaper under her underwear in her room ... it's nearly time to sleep. Her mobile phone rings.
Dazza: Yo ho, this Dazza!
Finn: Hi, it's Finn.
Dazza: Hey, you haven't rung for while. Been busy chatting up the girls at the football eh?
Finn: Err, no. I want to borrow your car.
Dazza: What's wrong with your old bomb?
Finn: Older brother killed the engine. Can't afford to fix it at the moment.
Dazza: He's a rev head?
Finn: No, just a really bad driver.
Dazza: You do realise how much my car costs?
Finn: I know. I'm banning my family from touching it.
Dazza: Can't you borrow the family car?
Finn: Err, I can't. Mum and Dad use it all time.
Dazza: I got a new car today. I get it when I go home!
Finn: That's nice. How'd you get that?
Dazza: By being the captain of a Women's World Cup that qualifies.
Finn: That's nice. I wish someone would give me a new car.
Dazza: Anyway, you can borrow it but make sure that idiot brother of yours doesn't get his hands on it
Finn: I'll just tell him it's been used by you. That will fix it.
Dazza: Now, what's wrong with a few girl germs?
Finn: It's all in this head.
Dazza: Do, what you are doing doing now - we can yap all night.
Finn: Have to finish something, now ...
Dazza: Paperwork? Insurance paperwork?
Finn: That's it, pages of legal crap. I don't think my claim is going to get through because it wasn't me who was driving.
Dazza: I assume your idiot brother doesn't have ant money
Finn: Nope, people it all goes to the family. Parents won't help either because it's my car, not theirs.
Dazza: Just take off my car. It's got to be all clean and shiny when you return it. No dinks either.
Finn: Yeah thanks. I take care of my stuff, I wish other people had the same courtesy.
Dazza: Wish you were here, hehe.
Finn: Don't tell me. Lazing around in bed wearing very little.
Dazza: About that, want some more videos then?
Finn: No no, I have to go finish these forms. Good night - but not for me. Can't be distracted right now.
Dazza: Can't you parents help?
Finn: Them? They delegate everything to someone else. Useless they are
Dazza: SWeet dreams.
Finn: Bye
<Dazza dials up her sister Debbie>
Dazza: Oi, sis!
Debbie: Dazza, shouldn't you be asleep for training by now?
Dazza: I sleep when I'm dead as you know.
Debbie: Or when there's male company around
Dazza: Oh yeah. Can you do me a favour? Finn needs to borrow my car. Can you drop it to his place tomorrow?
Debbie: What's wrong with his car or is that old bomb.
Dazza: Someone killed it for him
Debbie: Family idiot right?
Dazza: Yep. Don't forget to bring the car cover along too. His place isn't the cleanest place in the universe.
Debbie: Sure. No problem. You sure he won't trash your car?
Dazza: I've seen him with his car. He spends hours cleaning, polishing, vaccuuming and fixing. Obsessive with his cars.
Debbie: That's good. Maybe he could come around to clean my car, hehe. You had a quiet game against San Haven.
Dazza: No motivation. You know me, I play my best in the finals - qualifiers aren't my type of game.
Debbie: Better let you sleep.
Dazza: If I get to sleep, freaking cold down here. Rain rain rain.
Debbie: Good night
Dazza: Sweet dreams sis
Debbie: You too.
<Dazza turns off lights and curls up to sleep>

Women's team fail
It has been a horrible performance for the women's side in Divensi's first appearance in international play. With no wins, no draws and seven losses we might end up doing than Ravea, or more recently, The Greatest Crap. This ridicoulous record has led to many things, first a new overseer for the FA being Rejistanian and karelan monk, Monk Sikeri. Since Karelan Monks have no last she will be referred to as Monk Sikeri and only Monk Sikeri. Sikeri has been a Karelan for a very long time and is also fluent in English which will help the Divensi FA.
A new head coach is also being summoned after former head coach `~~~~~` led the Haganot to this horrible perfomance. The new head coach is former Rejistanian goalie Visnu Kanavan who was the World Cup winning in World Cups 23 and 24. Kanavan was known for being a spectacular shot stopper and the back of one of the strongest Karelan teams ever assembled in the World Cup 23 side. Kanavan also coached third division Iik~hana Hetaki to succesive promotions after a relegation. He is considered an up and coming manager and Rejistania and was quote, "Very happytake on new challenge of international football. I think I lead Divensi to many success." These confident to start a regime which will begin during the Baptism of Fire Cup which Divensi will compete in soon.
The last game now is on the Women's World Cup where we hope to avoid humliation but getting at least 1 point in our final match against whoever we play.

Rordettes World Cup Update
Rordia 0-0 Toranat - at Wildcat Stadium
Rordia have ended their Women's World Cup 4 campaign with a 0-0 draw with Toranat. This stalemate means that the Rordettes finish 3rd in Pool E.
Despite the final score being 0-0, the game was a very exciting affair. In the 15th minute, Rordia striker Bernie Hughes made a mockery of the Toranat defence before sending her shot just wide. From the resulting goal kick, Toranat keeper Geertje Ursula sent the ball 80 yards up the field. Kelsi Opaline headed the ball towards the Rordia net, but Lucy Bare saved her effort just in time. The Rordettes came close again after 25 minutes - only for Maria Baker to scoff her shot over the bar. In the 36th minute, things got ugly, as Toranat midfielder Tanika Kimberly was yellow-carded for a hard tackle on Teri Williamson.
At half-time, Rordia made a change to their squad, as Baker came off to be replaced by Svetlana Sokolova. One minute into the second half, and Sokolova almost helped her side take the lead. Her free-kick ended up at Kelly Richardson's feet, but the skipper's shot went wide. Five minutes later, and Sokolova came close with a shot of her own. On the half-hour mark, her performance started to wane and most of her shots ended in the stands. And after missing from two yards in the 62nd minute, her defensive team-mate Justine Montréal had seen enough. After swearing at her in an incomprehensible language, Montréal headbutted Sokolova! Montréal was sent-off, and Sokolova had to be stretchered off.
On came Grace Carter, and she wasn't much better. In her first ten minutes on the field, she had missed nine chances. Meanwhile, at the back, Rordia's defence held up very well against Toranat's five-man attack, and Bare didn't have to make a save in the second half. Ten minutes from time, the 4th official held up the substitution board: Imogen Abergynolwyn was coming off to be replaced by Katie Phillips. Rordia keeper Susy Landsend, who hadn't yet played in WWC4, ran towards Phillips and shoved her before running onto the pitch. In the first minute of injury time, Landsend had a chance to score the winner for Rordia. But her shot went out of the stadium, and the referee blew for half-time early because there weren't any more balls left.
Rordia head coach Charlotte Mayer said after the match: "We beat them in our previous match, but why couldn't we beat them in this one? Our attackers pummelled their defence, and our defence did likewise to their attackers! It's obvious that Lady Luck was wearing a Toranat shirt today, otherwise it could have been 3 or 4-0 to us by full time! The only thing I'm happy about is that we didn't finish bottom."
Qazox won 3-1 against New Montreal States in Pool E's other clash. Despite their loss, New Montreal States win the pool and meet Chicanada in the last 16. Qazox will play against the WWC co-hosts Rorysville in the next round. Rordia finish 3rd with four points, while Toranat are bottom with just one.
RORDIA XI: Bare; Montréal, Turner, Lewis, Moreau; Williamson, Abergynolwyn (Landsend 80), Richardson (c), Cooper; Baker (Sokolova 45 (Carter 63)), Hughes. Booked: Richardson, Cooper, Turner, Landsend. Sent Off: Montréal.
RORDETTES HEAD BACK HOME!
Rordia's squad have now left Rorysville after their Women's World Cup 4 campaign, which ended in them finishing 3rd in Pool E with four points (in case you haven't heard).
They are expected to be given a mixed reception when they land in Rordic City. Some of their fans are proud of the team for not finishing bottom, while others are disappointed that they were walked over by Qazox and New Montreal States. On the plane, captain Kelly Richardson said: "I really hope we didn't disappoint our fans. We ended up with a goal difference of -9, so they're likely to question both our attack and our defence. But we'll back stronger next time, and who knows? Maybe we'll manage to get through to the knockout stage..."
Only 19 of the 20 Rordettes have gone home. Defender Joanne Turner has decided to stay in Rorysville to support her girlfriend - Qazox midfielder Andrea Childress. Turner plans to stay in the country as long as Qazox are still in the tournament. Joanne is also planning a special surprise for Andrea if they reach the semi finals.

Starblaydia Play Extra Match?
Divensi beaten for third time, doesn't count in rankings
On Matchday Ten, Starblaydia's Cherries were looking forward to relaxing after eight matches of group play in the fourth Women's World Cup. However, when they woke up on Matchday Ten they were told their final match was against Divensi - a team they had already faced and defeated twice.
So, with no preparation and barely a pre-match warm-up, Starblaydia went out to face Divensi and defeated them 3-0 over ninety tough minutes. Coming back off the field, ecstatic that they had pulled off a win to keep Liverpool England below them, terible news came. Not only had the match not counted for the Group G rankings, but also Liverpool England had earned themselves three extra points by way of a phantom 3-1 win over nobody, while Starblaydia's unannounced victory against Divensi earned them no points at all!
Corruption! We hear you cry, in favour of Liverpool England (didn't they win the first Women's Cup?). Down with cheats! Starblaydia to go through as Group winners!
[OOC: Rorysville, what is going on?]
Ariddians celebrate qualifying
It was an utterly unexpected result after a very poor start, but the Dames en Rouge had thundered triumphantly through their past few matches, clinching a qualifying spot for the first time in history. Could the women’s record as under-achievers finally be behind them?
Led by the indomitable Hanifah Kyaw, and containing many Olympic silver medallists in their ranks, the team are determined to keep on surprising even their most confident supporters. Their direct qualifying place, however, was only earned after a difficult match against Vilita, which held Ariddia down two-nil at half time, before Dru, Simon and Teh reversed the lead in the second half, giving their country a three-two victory.
“We’ll see what happens in the group draws,” team captain Kyaw said, smiling. “But I’m confident we can keep up our momentum. We’ve worked hard, we’re doing well, and there’s no reason why we shouldn’t keep going.”
Jeruselem
12-09-2006, 15:14
Finn Fumbles is watching TV. Dazza Dallas (his girlfriend in the number six) is on the field along with the rest of Jeruselem World Cup 4 team. He is focussed and watching every second. Normally he didn't watch soccer games but in this instance, the only games we watched involved his girlfriend. He was quite content watching TV and munching on chips. His elder brother Bob walks in and looks "You watching a bunch of girls running on some grass again? Come on, watch the Lord's Salvation Channel." Finn was used to this inane crap from this brother and ignored him.
A Lowland Clan defender put in clumsy challege on the number 6, sending Dazza crashing to the grass. Normally, Dazza would wait until the ref showed and issued some kind of penalty - then she would get up slowly and walk off as if nothing happened. This time, she didn't get up. She was just lying there, not moving.
The ref looked the defender who went redfaced, she looked as a yellow card came out. Jeruselem players flooded to see if Dazza was getting but she's wasn't. Finn just looked - totally ignoring his brother, who didn't know what was going on. The Jeruselem girls tried to wake Dazza up, she was out cold. The team called for help and medics ran into the field carting Dazza off the field. Anna Goldstein ran into the field as Dazza's replacement.
"What's going on, Finn?" asked Bob. Finn who was a little upset snapped "My girlfriend got knocked out cold, can't you see that! Use your brain". Bob said "Sorry ..." and disappeared quitely. Images of an ambulance with Dazza inside were shown. Then it showed Jeruselem players attacking again in numbers to score the winning goal.
After the game, Finn's mobile phone rang.
"Hey, this Finn Fumbles?" was a female voice.
"Yeah" Finn replied wearily.
"I'm Holly Cambridge, the Jeruselem women's coach. You're her boyfriend right?" the voice said.
"I am" said Finn, more awake.
"The doctor says she'll be alright. Just some concussion. Don't worry about her. She's bounce back even if she's accident prone." the voice said
"Thanks for that. It looked really bad on TV" Finn replied.
"She'll be fine. I've seen this happen a lot when players hit ground when they get bowled over forward. She was unlucky today. Good night." and the phone hung up
Finn cleaned up and prayed for the rest of the night while looking at the picture of Dazza on his wall. He knew he was in love now. The scene of Dazza crashing kept on replaying in his head, and caused him a bad night's sleep. She was an attention seeking, nympho, Catholic, yabber-mouth, shameless and crazy girl - the type to avoid but it was too late now. He was hooked.

Edwina Bluff decided that the team needed time off. Too much media pressure as they had stomped their way through the group and they looked tentative against Spaam. Indeed it took a late goal from - who else? - Thalia Pellegrini to restore a point. So that was it. Milchama were a similar team to Spaam so it was going to be back to the first choice but letting off steam was the order of the day.
***
Pellegrini, having a degree in anthropology, had decided to head to the south to see some ancient remains. "Cool, can I come?" asked archaeology student Lynn Layton. "Yeah, no probs."
Pellegrini had had made available a smart Ocelot drop-top, perfect for the warm climate in Marceau State. And she had satnav to take her through the country lanes.
What she did not have was a degree in mechanical engineering, so on the way back from the remains when the car conked in a country lane she was at a bit of a loss.
"Try your mobile."
"No signal, dammit. We're a bit remote."
"There was a farmhouse about a mile back, can we get help there?"
"Yeah, it's the best bet. You go, Lynn, I've got to stay with the car...and you can't drive anyway."
Lynn Layton somewhat reluctantly jogged back in the heat of the day whilst Pellegrini decided to listen to her a-pod and drift away in the summer breeze, lid down, seat down, the sounds of the Anouilh Quins taking her to another place.
***
"You look all hot and bothered...do you want a cup of tea?"
"That's OK, madam, I just need a phone...or someone who can fix cars."
"My husband could do that, but he's out fertilizing. You can have a break, surely?"
"OK..."
***
A couple of hours had passed but Pellegrini had not noticed, she was still comatose and completely insensible to the heat and noise as her a-pod filled her brain with surreal folkpop. She had not noticed that Layton had been gone for a heck of a time.
***
"...and this is one of Uncle Ted by the back of the house, but you can still see the side of the house."
"Fascinating...look, can I call someone to help? My colleague will be getting worried."
"Oh, Frank can sort that...he'll be back soon..."
"Where is he now?"
"You can just see him, use the bins..."
Lynn Layton peered through binoculars to see a tractor spraying fertilizer out from both sides of a huge tank of slurry. "Hey, he's over where our car is. Maybe Thalia's seen him. He won't spray the car, will he? Heh heh."
"Oh, dear, he might...there's a problem with one of the sprayers...it's stuck on and when he does the edge of the field it sort of goes over the hedge...we then go back and mop up..."
"Oh oh, I hope he has seen her...do you mind if I run back?"
***
Pellegrini's dreams had been getting a bit stranger. She was on a train but she had not got a ticket, but that didn't matter as she had the correct jumper on. The archdeacon was not allowed on, which was a relief.
Then it started to rain. Somewhere deep in her brain her subconscious realized this was not part of the dream and Pellegrini started awake. For a brief moment, her thoughts were to the weather forecast - "they said hot and sunny" - then she detected the smell.
She pulled off her a-pod headphones and wiped her eyes clear of some liquid as her pearly-white car and white t-shirt and white skirt were all a rather greeny-brown.
And stinking to high heaven.
***
Lynn had run for about 2 minutes when she heard the yell. "AUUGGGHHHH!!!!"
When she arrived, with an apologetic farmer desperately trying to calm down what looked like furious faecal matter railing against agriculture, Ocelots, archdeacons and the world as a whole. "AUGGHH!!! Get some WATER!!! And some SHAMPOO!!!! And some MAKE-UP!!!!"
Layton wondered what she should say. Whatever I say now, she thought, is bound to be the wrong thing.
And it was.
"Er, do you have insurance for this?"

Also I need someone to Scorinate the Marceau Play-In and the Rorysville v Qazox RO16 Game
GROUP H NEEDS RE-SCORINATION AS WELL.
YOU MADE A BIG MISTAKE HERE RORYSVILLE. McPsychoville had played all of its 8 matches. the match-ups should have been:
MARCEAU STATE VS. SWILATIA
UNITED TRANSYLVANIA VS. MONTEGRANDE.
You need to re-scorinate those two matches before anything else.
The Play-off games will need do not need tobe re-scorinated as they would still contain the same four teams. (the re-scorination is really for Ranking purposes only thanks.)
LAKE PORTER SUN
Qazox came ever so close to taking the top spot in Pool E from NMS, but a misplayed cross, ended all hopes as NMS' #4 scored in the 89th minute to make the final score 3-1. Qazox got on the board early in the 1st half on a goal by Andrea Childress, her 2nd straight match with a goal, in the 15th minute on a direct kick. The Lady Oxen bumped the lead to 2-0 in the 3rd minute on a goal by Risa Klyn. The lead was extended to 3-0 in the 56th minute when Andrea Childress scored again this time off a corner kick that was deflected into the goal by the NMS keeper #11.
Qazox does advance to the Round of 16 against hosts Rorysville, but there is some controvesrsy as Group H teams seemingly were confused by the schedule and some teams wound up playing 9 games while another team had a 3rd bye. Hopefully it will be settled out.

Coach Lacey Chabliss was more than willing to rest her ladies and take the loss, although it does prevent us from another go at Qazox. Chabliss is very clear, though, that the Kodiaks have one thing in mind - a winners trophy.
"Of course we're still disappointed," Chabliss said at a press conference after the loss, when asked if the Lady KodiKits collapse at the Summer Olympics in the Quaterfinals, "but it only drives us to finally break through the Semis and win the damn thing."
Chabliss, in her first year as coach, could easily be out if the ladies fail to meet expectations of a nation used to the side being in the top 3. Anything short of another Semifinal sprit (and a Finals appearance) could make the CFA bring in a new fixer of the problem - Olani Pjan from the Risa-Aramour National Team is the favorite to take over should the ladies falter.
Next up is a team we beat back in Chicanada I, New Montreal States. We'd never expect a victory considering how random things have been, but we think it could go well. Of course, a win then means a battle with either perennial Mens side (and rising lady side) Starblaydia or the defending champs. Now, we have beat them both (right?) in Chicananda I but lost to Jeruselem in Chicanada II so that could be all fun.

Jeruselem Government News
Dazza's Yap Up - 13th September 2006
I'm back from hospital. Yes, Rorysville hospitals are colder than the weather especially when you're wearing those very unfashionable things they give to wear. Don't have much a memory after getting knocked out during the game against The Lowland Clans, apart from the cute doctor assigned to me. He was a nice fellow and he did comment I was the most attractive patient he's had for a while. Not that being in hospital stops the workload. Everyone wanted autographs from a famous football player (me) including the staff. Some patients even had Dazza Dallas DVDs to sign.
Yes, we won the game against The Lowland Clans 3-2, the girls scoring after I got disabled. The Clan girls did play well but we are still unbeaten. Apparently everyone else is not. And our next opponent? Starblaydia of all teams to run into. The last team to beat us - Starblaydia in Women's World Cup 2. Yes, it's going be one of those games. On rank, we should win as the Starblaydia had to play two games after the qualifying stage just to make it. But then there's history - Starblaydia beat us all the freaking time.
And it gets worse, the The Lowland Clans had to tackle the leg with bad knee so I'm limping about at the moment. Don't think I'm playing next game so Sophie will be the Captain. My sister broke her arm during Women's World Cup 2 but we still won even if we did lose to Starblaydia during qualifying. Now, Penny Handi did not injured during Women's World Cup 3 - and I get injured like my sister. Oddly, no Dallas got injured during the first world cup.
So I probably going to be sitting out the nexy game. On the good new front, the Dazza Dallas DVD is sold out again! First run got sold out during the World Cup XXX and now, the 2nd run is gone. Sales are so fast, I had to requisition one for my boyfriend who just missed out. He's got the real thing so it's not real problem. So people keep on making Dazza rich! Oh it is illegal to rip the DVD to non-copyrighted video folks, but I think you all know that.
I get some weird people sending me mail. Not the perverts or fans who want to see more of me - actually the people in other direction. They call me whore, slut and other not nice names but give me free advice. My advice to the people out there are the people who give free advice don't take their own advice. Yes, hypocrites.

OOC - I BEAT STARBLAYDIA? - w00t!
<Hot blonde 18 year old sitting on a lounge in slinky dress>
He ho, this is Jeruselem captain Dazza Dallas. I'm not standing because my knee needs rest and it's more fun sitting down like this anyway.
Now, you all know I didn't play today because of my knee. We are the World Champs and we played our biggest bogey team - Starblaydia. So the Vice-Captain Sophie took over on the field, and everyone was fearing the worst. Remember, Starblaydia beat us everywhere and even in unimportant tournaments. Now did the Starblaydia Cherries pick the Angels, or did the Angels have a Cherry picnic? Well, God was on our side when we played Starblaydia.
<clutches knee for a second>
Man, this knee hurts. Well, things didn't start all that well. The Cherries took a 2 NIL lead pretty quickly as they just hammered the defense. Our girls spent all the first half doing what they don't like doing - defending. Starblaydis were just running amok and controlling the game in the first half. Our defense was being worn down and they scored 2 goals in 5 minutes. Things were looking bad as we had lost control of the game. The goals scored in the 30th and 33th minute forced us to change tactics. Sophie need ideas as the bogey team would once again defeat Jeruselem - it would be very long time before we could beat them again.
Second half, we send in the small brigade. We subbed out the slower tall players and put on the younger agile players. I would have been one of them but too much pain from this knee. I don't I'll be playing in the finals either, so I spend lots of time sending indecent images to my boyfriend instead, yeah. The girls changed the gameplan, instead of trying pass our way into their half we ran the ball. It worked as the Cherries must have been stacking the midfield to block supply.
We ran straight at their players with our smallies. The game changed as our smallies too direct approach forced them to run a lot more because they were not expending too much energy intercept our passes before. Still, 2-0 to the Cherries at 55 minute but Anna Goldstein reduced the deficit to 1 goal when she slammed home as left foot shot. Scores were even then Shinita Habashi performed a bicycle kick into the corner from a hard fought corner. The Cherries who played two extra games to make this game were looking tired as they chased the small Jeruselem girls while big defenders easily brushed off any attacks. 2 ALL and Jeruselem were fighting to stay in the game in the 70th minute.
The Cherries put in an effort to attack but this made them more tired. Defender Fetha Gosha Asha performed one of her massively long throws to Cue Epie who had a quiet game so far. Cue took on a defender, chipped over her, ran past another one and faced the keeper. Stuka Bomba turned up after running from defense and decoyed the keeper who didn't know what to do. Cue fired under her legs and Jeruselem was in the lead.
By that time, the Cherries were really tired and Jeruselem blocked out the rest of the game. Yes, a classic win against a team who was going to beat us.
We now face Chicanada, who are a great team. The belted the New Montreal States girls 4-2. Jeruselem and Chicanada don't sit and defend, they attack - meaning goals and excitement for all.
The other quarter finalists were teams we all know and love. Bridesmaids Yafor 2 make on Haraki, after both had easy wins. Wentland had fight their way past Milchama 2-1 and face the attacking Swilatia who disposed of Arridia 3-1. Liverpool England will not be champs as The Lowland Clans beat them on penalties in shock of the round. Don't what happened during the Rorysville v Qazox, but one of them will play the Clan girls.
Jeruselem cannot complain as we've avoided Yafor 2, Haraki, Wentland and Swilatia before the finals.
Keep buying those DVDs everyone, so I can get a Ferrari and drive in style. A Mazda MX5 is really nice car, and so is my Renault but Dazza wants a Ferrari. Actually an F430 - 490 HP 4.3 litre V8, 0 to 100 K in 4 seconds, and a top speed of 196 miles per hour. Just like me - desirable, tempermental, sexy, fast, attractive, expensive and noisy. But for some reason I'm dating VW Beetle in Finn Fumbles - I don't know why he puts up with me.
That's it from the Women's World Cup 4. Tune in for the latest results and my sex life if you are interested. The Angels are still flying and they beat Starblaydida, a miracle.

"Jeez, what are they doing??"
"I dunno, boss...they're making basic mistakes..."
"Just welly it, Sis...no, no, no...don't pass it there...ohh, that was nearly two..."
"Come on, just belt it one..."
"OK, here's a chance...go Gem...nooo!!!"
"That should have been the equalizer..."
It was the worst Wentland had played for some time. The simple things were going very wrong. They were not finding each other with passes; the dribbling was not working; even Tricia Yates could not get down the line.
And to make it worse some dilly-dallying at the back had put the Blue Tits one-nil down as a weak back-pass was interrupted by Salas who went around a hapless Sarra Elgan to make it 1-0.
The Blue Tits were having difficulty with the press and attack of the Milchaman team and could not get going. Even throw-ins were going pear-shaped. And when they got a corner it was swept straight out of play.
"They're too nervous...they've been thinking about this game too much..."
"We need something. Gem's confidence has gone..."
At half-time Edwina Bluff took Gemma Hunt off and replaced her with Honey Weeks. Also Pui Lee had been anonymous and Jemma James went on to try to get some spark.
It worked to some extent. Finally the Blue Tits started to find each other and claw their way back into the game. And Jemma James, fresh against a tiring Milchama team, was beginning to show her club form. With her on one wing and Tricia Yates on the other suddenly the Blue Tits were looking dangerous.
The game turned in one mad minute after 68. Imelda Davies put in a typically tigerish tackle in midfield as Milchama set up a break. But the ball ran kindly and Yates, on a run, found it right in her stride and she took one touch to take it down the wing. With Pellegrini haring up in the middle, Yates sent the ball across...over the head of Pellegrini...but also the two Milchama players who had gone back with her and Carlisle...to find Jemma James, tearing up from the other wing, almost horizontal as she powered a bullet diving header into the near-empty net. 1-1.
And straight from the kick-offDavies won the ball and Cadman found James on the left wing...James beat her woman and with the Milchaman team still at sixes and sevens no-one was sure whether to mark Pellegrini or expect Yates to come in...or mark the charging Weeks...the ball was instead pulled back to Cadman, whose 25 yarder was parried by Carlisle...straight into Pellegrini's path and the in-form striker made it 2-1.
More nerves for the final 20 minutes or so...but the Blue Tits hung on.
The last 8.
***
Edwina Bluff decided that the team needed their minds taken off things for the quarter against Swilatia, a team with a 100% record to date. So she announced that there would be some minor public appearances for some of the players.
"Do you think that's wise, boss?" asked Nikki Griffin.
"Oh, I think they're sensible enough...they won't go too mad..."
Just as Edwina Bluff responded there was a commotion as a naked Anne Foy charged through the lobby, dripping with soapy water.
"YAAAAYYYYY!!! I'MGOINGTOAPIEFIGHTMGOINGTOAPIEFIGHTMGOINGTOAPIEFIGHT!!!!"
"There are always exceptions, of course..."

LAKE PORTER SUN
The last time Qazox faced a host nation in the round of 16 was way back at WWC 1 and on a goal still denied to have gone in to this day, Qazox lost to Chicanada 3-4. Well today we faced the hosts, but this time Qazox came out victorious 4-1 against Rorsysville. Rorysville came out strong and quickly scored, the third straight game that Qazox has fallen behind early 1-0, but once again the Offensive prowess of the Lady Oxen proved to be too much as Qazox scored 4 unanswered goals in the 2nd half.
Summary: Rorysville's Alexandria Banner scored in the 17th minute, sending the sell-out crowd at NATIONAL STADIUM (99,950) into a loud sustained chant that lasted for most of the 1st half. Down 1-0 at half, Kylie Rena decided to shift the formation from a 3-2-5 to a 3-1-6 and the extra attacker, Risa Klyn paid dividends quickly as she scored in the 50th minute to tie the match at 1-1. With the crowd quieted a bit, Qazox seemed more relaxed and in the 61st minute, A goal from Kelli Renoir off a free kick gave the Lady Oxen the lead. Rorysville seemd stunned and Qazox took advantage again in the 68th minute a Kelli Renoir scored again this time on a 16yd chip shot. The momentum was all Qazox' after that and Andrea Childress finished off the scoring in the 82nd minute with a 40 yard direct kick that took a wierd hop and went right past Irina Svenernsky to make it 4-1.
Scoring:
Rorysville: A. Banner: 17'
Qazox: Klyn (50' Renoir: (61', 68') A. Childress: 82'
Up next for Qazox is The Lowland Clans, a team Qazox faced in both qualifing and in group play at the last Cup with both teams winning a game by only one goal. A Very close match is expected but most experts think Qazox will reach its 1st semi-final.

Rorysville's Run is done
The Mighty Moose who took on all comers bowed out with a bang in the Round of 16 on Home Soil in Rorysville the Hottest ticket in town was RV's Womens Team and the Final Time We would see them was at National Stadium in the Heart of Rorysville. The GAme caused much of the City to Shut Down and the Area around the Stadium had all the Streets Shut Down and they were packed with RV's Fans the Estimated RV Fanbase both in and out of the stadium was 300,000 al either seeing it in person or on Large Video Screens around the National Sports Complex as well as St. Antone and 46th Streets. Among the Notables in the Crowd were President Ron Baase Jr. and RV National Men's Legend Mike Jasper.Let's Take a look at the Match
The Game started out with a bang as Alex Banner got things rolling setting the crowd into a frenzy and singing the Anthem at the 17th Minute and the crowd would continue this Singing all throughout the First half nearly deaffaning the Oxen Fans in the Satdium. Unfortunatly for Rorysville the Potent Lady Oxen Offense took things into hand stunning the FAns and Players alike with a goal at the 50th minute and would relax into a deadly attack as they would score at the 61rst minute putting the RV players into a state of panic and Qazox would capitalize netting another at the 68th minute.By now all of Rorysville's Chances were being thrown but teh Oxen Defense had taken over and they would net another insurance goal to put the Icing on the cake at the 82nd minute.
Now after this we must all stand proud of our Ladies Performance they have proven to us all taht they are a force to be reconed with as they ran themselves into First place in the pool from Matchday one and never looked back.
"We Are really disapointed that we couldn't get more for these fans they were amazing and really helped push us through I heard the same from Coach Turcotte that the fans really motivated us to go even harder and further and I think this experience here will do more to help us in World Cups Future wereever they'll be held"--Coach Federov after the game
We'll see you again in WWCV see you then

Anne Foy was thrilled as she got into the car with Thalia Pellegrini. "Wow, a pie fight...I've always wanted to be in a pie fight..."
"I don't think you're in it, Exy...I think you're just the guest of honour, you have to start it off."
"Yes, but SOMEbody might have asked to be on a team."
"Amazing, though, that they have a national championship..."
"Yeah...it's some sort of bakery festival or something. Part of that arty farty thing."
"It is NOT an arty farty thing, Exy, it's a very distinguished art festival."
"Yeah, whatever. I'm glad it's not me going there."
Pellegrini pulled up and parked. An eccentric came up and approached Anne Foy. "Oh, pleased to see you, come this way, I'm glad you're here to open it, everyone's been talking about you."
"What about me?" asked Thalia.
"What are you here for?"
"Well, I've got to open something as well..."
"Oh, yes, the festival. I'm sure someone will be along in a minute."
***
Anne Foy marvelled at her surroundings. They were going to have a pie fight in the museum? Amongst all these paintings? They seemed to be worth a few guineas, would they not get ruined?
***
Thalia Pellegrini marvelled at her surroundings. There seemed to be a heck of a lot of food laid on, she knew the River Citizens had a great reputation for bakery and pastries, but they seemed to be going a bit over the top with the spread.
***
Anne Foy sat on a stage as some boring old fart droned on about impressionism and pre-raphaelitism and organism and Inspector Chisholm and whatever. Jeez, was this a pie fight or a discourse on painting? Surely it was just a grab-hold-and-fling thing, there's no philosophy behind it?
***
Thalia Pellegrini sat on a stage as groups of people stood below in groups of four. Ah, she thought, the art theory of Mervyn Griffith, the reductio ad minutam of art movement. Obviously explicated via the medium of bakery to demonstrate the transcendence of worldly goods, the wish to devour and the inability to retain, and so on. Very intriguing.
***
"And now, we would like our guest of honour to say a few words to open the Festival. Please give a warm round of applause for Thalia Pellegrini..."
"Er..."
***
"And now, we would like our guest of honour to say a few words to open the Festival. Please give a warm round of applause for Anne Foy..."
"Er..."
"And Anne's going to be in the first bout today, the Pie Pitchers against the Sweetcakes...she's joining the Sweetcakes team..."
***
"Well, I'm sorry, girls, but it must have been a mix-up. I'm glad they didn't mind getting the wrong ones. Did you enjoy it?"
Anne Foy was happy. "Yeah, they had all these painters who kept throwing paint at the white thing. There was one bloke who just stabbed it with a chisel. I never knew art could be so violent."
Thalia Pellegrini was still wiping cream from her ears. "What did you say?"
"I said, did you enjoy it?"
"I get caked about a billion times, I've been in the shower twice and still stink of custard, I've got cream in my knickers and jam up my nose and chocolate in my eyes, what do you think?"
"Ah, never mind...who's this?"
"Miss Pellegrini? Sign here, please..."
"What's that, Sham?"
"Oh, it's the trophy...we won..."
"Well let's hope it's not the only thing we win. Swilatia today...they've a 100% record...it's gonna be very, very, very tough..."

"The ninety-fourth minute...the last chance surely for Swilatia...Wentland holding on to the lead given to them by Tricia Yates' free-kick on the hour...corner and everyone is up...even the goalie...over it comes...punched out by Foy...back in...oh no...it's there, it's there, it's there...Swilatia have equalized with practically the last kick...Wentland were seven seconds away from the semi-finals but now it goes to extra-time..."
Edwina Bluff rallied her team after the final whistle blew. "You've won it once, girls," she said. "Go out and win it again."
***
"The hundred and twenty-second minute...the last chance surely for Swilatia...Wentland holding on to the lead given to them by Thalia Pellegrini's header in the 112th...corner and everyone is up...even the goalie...over it comes...punched out by Foy...back in...oh no...it's there, it's there, it's there...Swilatia have equalized with practically the last kick...Wentland were seven seconds away from the semi-finals but now it goes to extra-time..."
Edwina Bluff rallied her team again. "Bloody hell..."
***
Bluff reflected on the emergency change made before the match. Sara Elgan had been throwing up all morning and having just come back to the team after the gentle jog of the group games she was back out for Anne Foy. But that was a slight advantage, perhaps; Foy was an excellent penalty-saver and that might prove crucial.
However, similar to the last shoot-out Wentland had had at the Olympics, they were going to be one short. After all three subs had been made Sule had gone off with an ankle injury sustained in the melee leading up to what should have been the winner. And as she had come on in place of Weeks the only striker left for the shoot-out was Pellegrini.
The Blue Tits had been practising penalties in training but this was a different situation, more pressure. Perhaps the Olympic experience would assist? There was one stroke of luck though - captain Rhodes won the toss and Wentland would take the first penalty.
Bluff jotted the line-up down for discussion. Meld, Sham, Frankie, Sis, Ken. The forward, the two best dead-ball strikers, the captain and the joker. If it went to sudden death the blonde bombshell Cadman would be an ideal replacement. The only risk was all 5 had played all 120 minutes. But with one sub off and the other subs not being natural goalscorers it was better to go with those that were acknowledged as better takers.
Imelda Davies therefore strode forward first. The regular penalty taker. She placed the ball on the spot, walked back to the edge of the D, turned around, snarled at the opposing goalkeeper and charged. With goalkeeper almost visibly cowering Davies approached the ball at a run...and miraculously shifted her body and slowed to sidefoot the ball just inside her right-hand post. Keeper was statuesque. 1-0.
Swilatia's first penalty. Anne Foy put in a miraculous dive to her left and covered almost the entire goal. Alas the ball went to her right. 1-1.
Thalia Pellegrini for number two. Ball down, almost no run-up - three steps and the ball again went inside her right-hand post. Not powerful but inch-perfect. Goalie had half-dived the opposite way, 2-1.
Swilatia's second. Straight and high, it almost clipped the bar as it went in as Foy had gambled on going the same way as before. 2-2.
Tricia Yates for the third. A pure striker of the ball. Both penalties for Wentland had gone to the kicker's right, would the third? Yes. Swilatia's goalie had gone the right way but was just beaten by the power in the strike. A relieved Yates trotted back to the half-way line smiling broadly. 3-2.
Swilatia's third, obviously the Swilatians had noted that Foy had gone the same way for the first two penalties, so how would they cope? Gamble that she would go the same way again? Yes. Ball went straight, Foy went left. 3-3.
Lucinda Rhodes now had to play a captain's part. She strode up for the fourth looking as if she were the coolest person in the ground. Placed it carefully and the Swilatian goalie complained that the ball was not placed on the spot properly. Mind-games or nerves? Half-a-minute went by as Rhodes re-placed the ball and picked at a bit of mud on the ball. Walked backwards like a rugby player and glanced at the referee. Whistle blew.
And it was a terrible penalty, there was some power but no direction. The ball just fizzed straight as a die along the ground.
Fortunately the Swilatian goalie had gone to her right, expecting a double-bluff, and the ball just evaded her studs as she flicked a foot backwards. 4-3.
Swilatia's fourth. Anne Foy decided to have some fun. She picked up the ball and handed it to her opposite number - but as the Swilatian kicker tried to take the ball off her, whoops, Foy dropped it. Sorry about that. Foy skipped back to the goal-line, making sure her opponent could see her, and pranced around the goal-line smiling the broad smile of the innocent child.
The kick went to Foy's right. For the first time Anne Foy dived that way. And although she lacked in height she did not lack in spring. The ball bounced off her stomach and comfortably into the near distance. Easy enough for a predatory striker to prod home but this was a shootout. 4-3. Still.
Wentland's fifth penalty. Rachel Horne. A quick bit of maths meant that it was clear that if this went in it was over and Wentland were into the semis. Horne put the ball grotesquely in front of the spot and moved it back with feigned ill grace when ordered to re-place it.
Horne ran up to the ball. Right foot. Went clean over the ball and the goalie had already started going to her right as the left foot struck the ball from behind the right and sent it spinning back to the goalie's left. Not the fastest of penalties but it did not need to be. Horne's party piece was familiar in Wentland football but not in Swilatian.
It was over. 5-3. The fifth Swilatian penalty was pointless. The Blue Tits were in the semi. To face Yafor 2. Conquerors in WC2. The third semi - would this be the charm?
(ooc: Rorysville got a BIG Questionfor ya.. just who did win the Chicanda-Jeruselem match? The Way you've posted it QF1-Jeruselem v Chicanada (2-3/ET), it seems to me Chicanada won, but then you post this:Jeruselem v Qazox.. so who actually won the match???)
LAKE PORTER SUN
Qazox is going to the Women's World Cup Semifinals for the 1st time and this time they didn't have to comeback at all. After 4 straight matches in which Qazox gave up the 1st goal, this time the Lady Oxen went out and controled the match right from the beginning as Kelli Renoir, a favorite to win the Golden Boot, scored just 11 minutes into the match to make it 1-0 Qazox. The momentum stayed with the girls as in the 17th minute, Rene LaTreque scored her 5th goal to make it 2-0. TLC answered back in the 27th minute, but as per their custom, there are no numbers or names on the uniforms, so we don't know exactly who scored, just it wasn't thier keeper. The match stayed 2-1 until the 76th minute, when a hot Andrea Childress knocked home the final goal making it 3-1 Qazox. 14 minutes later, the whistle blew and the Lady Oxen celebrated thier 1st semi-final apperance.
After the match, there was a bit of history made as Andrea Childress, during the press conference, asked her girlfriend, Joanne Turner, to marry her. Joanne squealed yes and both ladies celebrated their engagement with a long kiss. Since the conference was on tape-delay back in Qazox, most people did not see the kiss. The historic part was an estimated 450 million people downloaded the kiss on to their Q-pods, easily breaing the old download record of 17 million which was for the finals of Qazoxian Idol.
But we don't know just who we are palying in the finals as both Chicanada and Jeruselem are claiming 3-2 extra-time wins. Since no tape of the match has offically been released to the public, one can only wonder just which side is telling the truth.
Scoring:
TLC: Unknown 27'
Qazox: Renoir-8th: (11'), LaTreque 5th:(17'), A Childress-5th: (76')

OOC - WoMan I got confused
* Funky theme music *
Dazza:
He ho, this Dazzas Dallas at the Women's World Cup 4 for Jeruselem Government News. I'm the official captain of team but I can't play because of my knee but as official JGN reporter I've still got a job to do. Those of you looking at the latest results might be confused! The scoreline says Jeruselem lost to Chicanada in extra-time 2-3 but the semi-final list shows Jeruselem as the winner. One of those is wrong, we know we won the game. Eh, why would you put Jeruselem as a semi-finalist when we lost the game?
<sneezes>
Sorry, Dazza's not a cold weather person. Anyway I'm really Jeruselem won in overtime which is a rarity in itself - like beating StarBlaydia. Chicanada are great team and could have this game but I'm sure we won this one. Me thinks someone made a typo when putting out the scores. I'm not going to describe the game in detail here because I want people to see the replayed game on what really happened. Some people think we lost, I'm sure we did not. So, watch the replay on free to air or cable! It was the best game EVER, OK if we win the final that's the best game ever. Actually, last Women's World Cup final was best game I've played in. Hat trick bimbo here!
It's official, I can't play for 4 weeks. Knee needs to rested for a long time so I cannot play. Sophie will be Captain for all remaining games. She's retiring so it's good time for her to finish her career on a big high. Dazza's only 18 so there's plenty of time for me to do more in soccer unless I go break something permanently. Dazza's still sad she can't play. So it's either writing reports for JGN, talking crap to Finn, talking crap about soccer or being Dazza the nuisance for a while.
In the other quarter-finals, the Ox girls or Qazox beat the Clan girls THREE ONE. Yes, we have played Qazox before and they will be hard to beat but Chicanada weren't actually easy opponents either. Yaforites roll on and they beat Haraki TWO NIL. It looks like another Jeruselem versus Yafor 2 final to me but we still have some great teams in contention, like Wentland who like their pie fights. Wentland or Blue Tits, beat the mighty Swilatia in a penalty shoot-out. Scores were locked at TWO ALL but the Blue Tits prevailed 5-3 in the shoot-out.
So, the remaining teams play in semi-finals. Jeruselem take on Qazox and Yafor 2 fight on to slug it out with wentland. It could be Jeruselem vs Yafor 2 again but it could be a Qazox vs Wentland final as well. I have no doubt my girls will be in the final but the other game is much harder to predict.
And it's now time for YAP YAP, when we talk about soccer and my sex life. A viewer asks if women's football is different to men's football. OK, this is my opinion but it is. Men's football is rougher and they are much hard physically although some women players can be just as rough and tough. Skill-wise, both sexes are the same but the bigger frame of the men means more rought stuff can be handled. For little petite girlies like me, we prefer a fast game with more running and less getting whacked about. I've played the Women's World Cup and the biggie World Cup, and I know the difference. So, the only real difference is level of rough play because women's bodies don't cop the damage a man can, in general. We are the child-bearing gender and don't need to be so macho to play football.
See you all next time on the FOOTBALL LIFE, sweet dreams and keep your underwear on, hehe. Sometimes Dazza doesn't but err that's me.
Last thing, some web sites have supposed videos of me swimming around in pool, err, nude. It's not me. it's a hacked video. Dazza doesn't swim, she floats around in a inflatable bed on the pool. I can swim but I can't do all that well. The only thing is I sometimes forget to wear stuff, but that's another matter. Anyway, it's fake OK but they did great job!

QSPN NEWSFLASH
The controversy as to which team had actually won the quarterfinal match between Jeruselem and Chicanada is over and Jeruselem in fact won 3-2 in extra time. It is unknown why the Chicanada press corp was reporting they had won at this time. So Qazox will take on the 2-time defending champions in the semifinals.

OOC - There goes the hat-trick ...
Jeruselem Government News
Yafor 2 and Jeruselem - married at the Women's World Cup? Jeruselem no longer the Queen of Football.
Women's World Cup IV proved a surprise today in the semi-finals. Two champions Jeruselem (that's us, if you don't know by now) lost the Qazox, the Ox girls. The World Champs lost in a finals game for the first time since Women's World Cup I. It was an upset for the Ox girls who got beaten by Jeruselem last time they played. Qazox won TWO ONE in a thrilling game where both teams playe like it was the end of the world. Jeruselem were probably tired after beating Chicanada 3-2 in extra time and Qazox team seemed the more energetic in the 2nd half. At half time the scores were tied 1 ALL but the better rested Qazoz team scored the critical goal to sink the Angel's hopes of the making it THREE in row.
Yafor 2 had to beat Wentland to make the final and finally win the cup. The problem was the Wentland team - they beat the Yaforites 3-2. Jeruselem who had already won two cups, and they took the loss badly because they had lost a crown. Yafor 2 took it worse - two losses in the final and them they blew a chance to make the final. Wentland won the game 3-2 where a desperate Yafor 2 tried and tried, but the curse continued - they lost when it mattered. The Blue Tits deservedly won and march into the final to face the Ox girls.
This means, Jeruselem play Yafor 2 AGAIN. Not for the final, but the 3rd spot. Good news for Yafor 2 is Dazza Dallas is out and is not playing, so she can't trash the Yaforites again. The bad news is Jeruselem don't play for fun, Angels play to win and the Dazza-less Angels will not be sparing Yafor 2 when they play. The Angels will not be world champs, but 3rd spot is still better than 4th.
Looking at Women's World Cup 2 to 4 - Jeruselem play Yafor 2 everytime in the pointy end. It seems the two teams are probably the strangest couple in the Women's World Cup. Both teams are one of the best, it's just one happens to have more finals wins that the other. Wentland and Qazox have glory for IV, but we can be sure it is very possible next Women's World Cup final could be Jeruselem vs Yafor 2 again.
We apologise if Dazza Dallas could not host the regular THE FOOTBALL LIFE today. She was too upset because Jeruselem had lost and she was injured and had played her last Women's World Cup IV game against the Clan girls. Next year, we will be sure Dazza and the girls will be back ... to take back what was ours - from Wentland or Qazox.
Pending some retirements after this World cup, including vice-captain Sophie Olmat will hit hard but we champion players like Dazza, and Anna Goldstein. Dazza was the captain of this team but could not play the quarter or semi finals due to injury. You bet she's going make sure the new players in the team shape up.
Wentland
19-09-2006, 22:45
Bang. Bang. Bang. Three shots in ten minutes. Three off the woodwork.
It was an utter siege of the Wentland goal. The Yaforites were rolling forward in a thunderclap and it was all the Blue Tits could do to hold on, like shipwrecked survivors in a lifeboat. Lucinda Rhodes had headed a corner off the line.
The curse of the semi was about to strike again. The team had frozen stiff and could not string one pass together let alone two. After every clearance the ball came back straight away for chance after chance. Anne Foy was bruised all over as she performed miracles.
The statistics after half-an-hour made sobering reading. Shots on target: Wentland zero, the Yaforites seven. Possession: Wentland 34%...it was looking grim.
The darkest hour comes before the dawn. In the 32nd minute the Yaforites poured forth for a corner in typical numbers and only one person had been left back to watch Pellegrini. But as the corner came over Yates darted out toward the centre circle, Foy caught it and managed to release a massive kick towards her. And suddenly the break was on, two against one, Yates was fast fast fast and past the defender and one on one. The shot was parried back out straight to Pellegrini who shot home.
The Yaforites were stunned as the Blue Tits cavorted on the touchline. 1-0 against the run of play. But there was confidence there and Wentland started to come back into it a tad.
Still it was mostly Yafor. Half-time was a blessed relief. Edwina Bluff did not say anything at all. Just gave them the tea. And yelled, yelled, yelled. Each player in turn. You're a bloody hero. You're beating them single-handedly. Your heart is not going to give up. This is your moment. This is your time.
Second half. Yafor had made a substitution to gee things up. Going forward again but Wentland looking more dangerous on the break. It was Pellegrini's turn to hit the woodwork as another corner broke down. The attacks were still there but the sting had been taken out. Watch your back.
The 54th minute. Cross. Headed out by Rhodes. Davies in midfield flicked on to Cadman, who megged her opposite number. And suddenly Pellegrini was in the middle. Inch-perfect pass. Pellegrini's strike back off the post. Out wide to Yates. Cross in the box. Yells. Handball? Yes. Penalty. Penalty to Wentland.
Imelda Davies strode up imperiously to take. Ball placed, long run up, blam, the goalie was lucky to go the wrong way as had she gone the correct way she would have broken her hand. 2-0. Forbidden fruit.
Yafor had to throw all caution to the wind. Hold, hold, hold. Laura Jones was exhausted and taken off for Heather Jay. She had not the time to get into the game when the Yaforites pulled one back. Not yet gelled with Cap'n Sis. 2-1 with 25 minutes to go.
Green light for Yafor. Attack, attack, attack. Pound, pound, pound. Hold on, Achilles against the Scamander, beating off the waves of attack. When assailed by ocean storms look for the gap. Break the wave. Long ball to Pellegrini. Flick backwards over her head for Tricia Yates. And Yates flew. The hounds of hell after her. She did not look back. Eighteen yards out, before collapsing Yates tried one.
No-one in Wentland heard what the commentator said next. Everyone was too busy yelling. All over Bellstead, Warpstone, Glavin. They were dancing in the streets of Crowhurst. It was 3-1 and six minutes remained. This was it, surely?
Surely?
Even if we let one in now?
Like just then? Eighty-nine minutes and four of injury and it was back to 3-2.
The 300 seconds or so were later proved by scientists to have lasted for three and a half years, as perceived by the Wents watching. But the eleven woman wall of defence, with no pretension of attacking, held out.
After ninety-four minutes and eleven seconds, a corner was punched out. The whistle blew. "What's she blowing for?" asked a prostrate Cadman. "I think we've won..." gasped Rachel Horne, on her knees. "We've WON!!!!" yelled Anne Foy.
Within seconds the bench was on the pitch and the penalty area was a writhing mass of joyous blue shirts. Wentland had done it. They'd only gone and bloody done it.
***
The news media were a bit confused by the outcome. Jeruselem v Yafor 2 to come. That must be the final, surely?

THE QUEEN IS DEAD....LONG LIVE THE NEW QUEEN???
In one of the most thrilling matches played at this Cup, and there have been many, The Lady Oxen knocked-out 2-time defending champions Jeruselem 2-1 in the semi-finals. Avenging the 2-1 quarterfinal loss from WWC 3, Qazox came out having easily won its Round of 16 and Quarterfinal matches, while the Angels, without star player Dazza Dallas, struggled past Starblaydia inthe Round of 16 and had a tough extra time win over Chicanada in the Quarters.
Both sides came out onto the sold-out National Stadium with all 99,950 fans seemingly split between the two sides. Both teams played tenatively for the 1st 20 minutes, feeling each others defenses out. A misplayed cross in the 22nd minute, however, allowed the defending champions to get on the board first as Anna Goldstein took the errant pass and scored. The crowd then seemed to be Pro-Angels, but only 7 minutes later, quite possibly the best player in this tourney, Kelli Renoir scored her 9th goal to tie the match at 1-1.
All momentum after the tying goal went towards the Lady Oxen, as they continued to pressure the Angels keeper, Marcia Materazzi, but every shot that went towards the net, she caught or deflected out of the box. At half both sides seemed worn down by the faster pace of the last 25 minutes.
The second half started much like the first, as both sides were careful not to leave themselves open for a counter. Jeruselem did pick up some momentum in the early going, receiving 5 corner kicks by the 58th minute, but Juila Kidd, whose play this Cup has been largely overlooked, stoned all attempts at the second goal. The Lady Oxen regained some momentum in the 73rd minute when Risa Klyn was subbed in for Sunny Powers. Risa started to attack the flanks of the Jeruselem midfield, and without Dazza, Jeruselem seemingly had no answer for Risa's fresher legs. With time winding down until extra time, Head Coach Kylie Rena, moved up the Childresses, Andrea and Julia, for what was effectively a 3-0-7 formation.
With only 2 minutes until the end of regulation, Andrea Childress lined up for a direct kick from about 40 yds. The kick was perfect, and Risa Klyn was standing in just the right spot to deflect the ball past Materazzi and gave the Lady Oxen a 2-1 lead. The side ref raised the injury time indicator, and 6 minute showed. Jeruselem seeing their chance at a historic 3-peat slipping away, began to attack with reckless abandon, but to no avail as Juila Kidd turned away shot after shot after shot. After what must have seemed like an
eternity to the players on the pitch, the whistle finally blew and Qazox was going to the finals.
Scoring SUmmary:
Jeruselem: Goldstein: 22'
Qazox: Renoir (9th- 29'), Risa Klyn (2nd-88')
Up next for Qazox is Wentland, the team that beat us in last year's playoff, but whom we beat in the semifinals in the Olympics. Both matches came down to the last minutes, and the Olympic Semifinal came down to penalties. So the rubber match between these two teams is for the Cup. Will Wentland avenge thier Olympic loss or will Qazox become the first team men or women to have won an Olympic Gold and a World Cup?
(ooc:btw the Risa Klyn of this team is not...repeat not the same one who died during the Olympics..just happens to have the same name that's all..and also plays football.
I will of course update the NSWiki and the qazoxian rankings after the last two matches. The ranking will be released in both the WWC 5 sign-up and the WC disscussion threads as usual. GL wentland :) )
LAKE PORTER SUN
WENTLAND VS. QAZOX
The finals of the 4th Women's World Cup will be between the Wentland Blue-Tits and our own Lady Oxen. Thr first time these two teams ever met was at the 3rd Women's World Cup at Liverpool England, in the 5th-8th place playoff match up. Wentland's Weeks scored all three goals in a match that was not as close as it looked. The re-match came during the Olympics in Casari, and with neither team scoring after 120 minutes, to penalties they went. The current Head Coach of the Lady Oxen, Kylie Rena, blasted home the winner as Qazox escaped witha 3-2 win on penalties.
So now these two teams will meet once more but for more than a 5th place finish or a Olympic Medal. They meet for a chance to be declared the best in the world. Both teams each have an impressive Defense having allowed only 12 goals in 9 games. Qazox has the very slight edge in scoring 28 goals to 27.
This match will either be a 4-3 shootout or go to penalties once again, but the one thing that is certain is that after this match, one team will be on top of the world, while the other will go home in dissapointment.
In the 3rd place game Yafor 2 will try once again to beat Jeruselem, the team that had beaten them in each of the last two Cup Finals. I predict that the 3rd time's the charm as Yafor 2 beats Jeruselem 2-1 in extra time

ooc: GL to you too, Qazox...a win would be just reward for your work on the wiki. Plus I'm away for the next few days so my final RP is going to be mediocre at best.
The teams lined up for the national anthems. The Qazox team had been at a similar stage before, where their triumph ended in strategy. More than one of the Wentland team had the shock of seeing that they would face Risa Klyn, the poor victim who got gunned down at the height of her ecstasy, but it was someone with the same name. Unnerving.
The Wentland national anthem had never been played before a major final...and some of the team held back their tears as best they could as the words were sung by tenor Sir Henry Loder...
As you go through life, it's a long, long road
There'll be joys and sorrows too...
As we journey on, we will sing this song,
For the girls in Royal Blue...
We're often partisan,
We will journey on...
Keep right on to the end of the road,
Keep right on to the end.
Tho' the way be long, let your heart be strong,
Keep right on round the bend.
Though you're tired and weary, still journey on,
Till you come to your happy abode...
Where all you love, you've been dreaming of...
Will be there...at the end of the road!!
The Went cheers from 50,000 fervid throats nearly flattened the Blue Tits. Such emotion had never been felt before by this bunch of part-timers and rank amateurs.
Lucinda Rhodes won the toss and elected to kick off. A good omen? Or was that all she would win today?
Thalia Pellegrini and Honey Weeks stood over the ball, the remainder of the team lined up in 4-4 formation behind them. They looked at each other and awaited the whistle from the referee...

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!!
THE FRUITS OF OUR LABOR
The Lady Oxen of Qazox have completed their journey which they started 16 years ago on a college campus. Twenty young women were chosen to compete in the first ever Women's World Cup in the nation of Chicanada. While they lost to the hosts in the Round of 16 that year, a seed was planted.
Four Years later, they returned to Chicanada, and this time they had to qualify. They qualifed with ease, and advanced to the quarterfinals where they lost to Yafor 2. The seed began to grow.
Four years ago, in Liverpool England, the team had to win a playoff to get into the round of 16, but a tough loss to the eventual champions Jeruselem caused some doubt, but the seed still grew.
Two years ago at the Olympics in Casari, the seed had grown, and the first fruits of labor began to show, as the team won the first ever gold medal, but the fruit was not yet quite ready.
This year, in Rorysville and Marceau State, the fruit was ripe, the time was right and the 16 years of work finally came to fruition. Two easy wins over Rordia and Toranat set-up a match with NMS. That loss soured some of the fruit, but 2 more wins over Rordia and Toranat and a defiant win over NMS, made the rest just sweeter.
Next came Rorsyville, who wanted the fruit to themselves, but an impressive victory sent the hosts back with a bad taste in their mouths. TLC came next and some scoffed that the team would advance past the Quarters, but they did.
Then came the Champions, Jeruselem, unbeaten in the Cup the last two times and unbeaten this time as well. Surely the Lady Oxen had come as far as they could, but a team-defining win later, Qazox was in the finals.
The rubber match, the Olympic Semi-final re-match which ended 0-0 and went to penalties. The chance for either side to make history;and here's how Qazox made history....
Both teams have played each other before, so neither side expected much of a surprise from the other. Back and forth each went, a shot here, a save there for most of the 1st half, until Gemma Hunt, broke free and scored in the 43rd minute to give the Blue-Tits the 1-0 lead just before halftime. The Lady Oxen had been here before, in fact until the Semifinals, they had allowed the 1st goal in 5 straight matches, so with that fact in thier minds, Qazox came out in the second half knowing they could win.
But in the 49th minute, the match looked like it was over. Thalia Pellegrini's goal had not only given Wentland a 2-0 lead, Juila Kidd injured her leg and had to be taken off the field. Alice Springs, who was the starter until a similar injury during the Olympics, came off the bench ready to go. But injury struck once again, as in the 54th minute Alice dove for a shot and collided with the post. The crack of her shoulder onto the steel was heard through-out the stadium. Now just 9 minutes into the 2nd half, Qazox had lost not one, but two keepers and were trailing by two goals, the cup was seemingly as good as lost.
Gidget Zingarelli, who was only the practice keep, never thought her World Cup debut would come in the finals, but the young woman was ready. After a barrage of shots over the first 5 minutes she was in net, things began to look up for the Lady Oxen. In the 70th minute, Andrea Childress lead a counter-attack deep into the Wentland zone and sent a cross into the box. The whistle blew and the ref pointed at the penalty spot. A penalty kick for the Lady Oxen!!, but Kelli Renoir was down on the pitch clutching her leg. The only thought on most of the Qazox fans were "no... not another injury and our best player!". But Kelli stood up took the ball from the ref, spotted it and with her good leg, edged it just past a diving Anne Foy. 2-1 Wentland. After that ball went into the net, the momentum was Qazox' and Wentland could do nothing to stop it.
But the Blue-tits defense held firm and Kelli hobbled up and down the pitch, waving off Kylie Rena's repeated attempts to sub her out. 10 minutes to go.. a missed shot just off the post. 8 minutes to go... Foy with a diving save. 5 minutes to go.. another shot off the crossbar. Time was running out and chances looked dim that Qazox could force Extratime. But then Aki Fa'Mau-Tana, who had seeming dissapeared from the map recovered a loose ball and there was only one defnder to beat....she juked, kicked the ball through Ellie Crisell's legs and then there was only the keep. Left or right? Right or left? Aki thought and just shot...GOAL!!! She guessed right and Anne Foy went left and with 2 minutes left in regulation it was tied. The whistle seemed to blow quickly after that and now onto Extratime.
Extratime went by without either side attempting a shot as both teams seemingly sensed that destiny wanted a shoot-out. And after 120 minutes of play, they did once again.
As she did in the Olympics, Gemma Hunt, scored first to gove Wentland a 1-0 lead. And as she did in the Olympics, Aki Fa'Mau-Tana tied it at 1-1. Wentland's Pui Lee came up and she scored and so did Sunny Powers to make it 2-2. Thalia Pellegrini came up third and she put one past Gidget Zingarelli to make it 3-2. But Genny Gump missed her shot, opening the door for Wentland to win. But Stacey Cadman had her shot ricochet off the far post and Rene LaTreque just got her shot into the near post to re-tie the kicks at 3-all. Tricia Yates, the young 19 year-old had the pressure of the world on her foot, and she could not cope as her shot went hight over the cross bar. Now hobbled up Kelli Renoir, she'd played the last 50 minutes of the match on her foot, which was found the match to be broken, refusing to allow the pain to keep her from destiny. And just as Kylie Rena sent one home in the Olympics, Kelli did in the Cup. Anne Foy had no chance. 4-3.

(OoC well done Qaz, richly deserved)
What can you do in 120 seconds? Not much. You can brush your teeth. Get changed. Set a video. Or lose a world cup.
In truth the effort in holding on against Yafor got to the team. They had gone above and beyond. And that was borne out in the first half an hour with both Weeks and Davies off with injuries.
Gemma Hunt was the old inspired Gemma we all know and love and her goal was cathartic. Pellegrini kept up her remarkable run of scoring in every game. But Horne was injured in the build up and Wentland had lost 2 of their penalty takers. That wouldn't matter, would it?
But the rejig cost. Crisell played through injury and her mistake led to the heartbreaking equalizer. Hunt nearly won it in extra time but in the shootout Cadman struck a post and Yates slipped on striking and skied the ball.
So it's over. Wentland's search for a world crown continues with another runner up finish. If Kumble had not been pregnant, what would have happened?
Qazox then add the world crown to the Olympic one to become the unstoppable force in women's football. But oh how close Wentland came to stopping them.
