World Cup 31 Rejistania & Quakmybush Bid Thread

Hello, soccer fans, welcome to the Rejistania and Quakmybush World Cup 31 Bid Thread. First, lets meet the co-hosts.

Rejistania: 4 Time World Cup Champions, former World Cup CommitteePresident, one of the most constant RPers in the game. Rejistania has been around since World Cup 9. She has also hosted 3 World Cups, some Cups of Harmony (or co-hosted unofficially), and has also hosted one Baptism of Fire. Do I need to say anything more?

Quakmybush: Very new to Nationstates, however he is a very constant RPer and can be found on #nssport a lot of the time. Quakmybush has been around since World Cup 29. He has not hosted yet anything before, however he is ready to take on the challenge.

Nuts & Bolts:

The Competition:
We will try and accommodate as many nations as we can. However we will try to avoid bye-days and breaks. QMB and Rejis will RP the opening ceremony as well as group-draw ceremonies to give some ideas for the RPing. It worked in World Cup 23 well.

The Scorinator:
We will be using Leagion to score all matches. Linearized KPB rankings will be used. This means, the KPB-points are projected into the area of 1-200 and a formula for linear ranks will be used. Style modifiers will be used and even though the temple of Karela will hate it, the formula will not make every match end scoreless.

RP Bonus:
A three tiered RP bonus will be used. Since Rejistania has designed it, it is overly complex uses higher mathematics and will be very influential so RPers will have a significant advantage over non-RPers. Since Quakmybush has assisted in the design, it will value quality as well as quantity. To prevent Eizening, Spaaming or other non-fun exploitation, we will not release the exact formula until after the World Cup happened.

Rejistanian Venues To Come
Rejistania
05-09-2006, 01:47
Estadije Ines Karela Lines:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v42/allanea/Karela_New_Stadium_inside.png
Location: Kalimnintan kalesa, KaMaRi kali
Capacity: 149,700
Karela Lines never was able to afford expanding the Estadije Karela Lines themselves, but after the revolution, a prestigious venue was built for the team by the temple. The "EIKL" (pronounced: eh-ee-kah-lee) was planned by Progressan architects, who fled from from their nation as it ceased. To ensure there is not too much capitalism in this new stadium the advertising boards behind one goal have been replaced by a fence, which has been called the 'D-Fence'. Despite popular belief there are no force fields protecting the goals and the devices which where used to deliver electric shocks to the conceeding team have not been used for at least 20 years

Estadije Sen-La-Sa~o Relekhati
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v42/allanea/sls-relekhati.jpg
Location: Riandu kalesa, KaMaRi kali
Capacity: 149,000
The club Sen-La-Sa~o Relekhati (pronounced as: Zenlazou relekarti) was one of the most famous clubs but fell into mediocracy. Their stadium is an impressive building, and was the biggest stadium in Rejistania. Its architecture is remarkable due to the roof reminding of many arches.

Estadije Hetlasane Hetkali
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v42/allanea/hetlasane.jpg
Location: Hetkali, Rejistania
Capacity: 105,000
"Theteam from thecity" (which is the translation of the majuvedian name Hetlasane Hetkali) is one of the most successfull rejistanian teams ever. The stadium is the third largest in Rejistania. Its nickname can be translated as 'hellhole' because hell breaks lose (in a positive sense) when Hetlasane, or a team which qualified for the XTSR plays there.

Estadije Hanin Sekhika
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v42/allanea/hanin-sekhika.jpg
Location: Maiju kalesa, KaMaRi kali
Capacity: 99,000
The Estadije Hanin Sekhika is another stadium in the fascinating city KaMaRi kali. The biggest city of Rejistania is located in the central north on the border between the territory of two ethnic groups: the Minokaje and the Majuveda. For foreigners these differences are not really obvious, but the Rejistanis distinguish between the 'Maiju kalesa' (minokajeti speaking) and 'Kalimnintan kalesa' (majuvedi speaking). Hanin Sekhika are a successfull team and were the first rejistani champion.

Estadije Najajara Ynu
http://www.fussballtempel.net/caf/RSA/FNB.jpg
Location: Najajara kali, Rejistania
Capacity: 90,000
The town Najajara kali is a beautiful port town known for its relaxed atmosphere and the fact that it changes as soon as the Blacks (Ynu) play an important match. The Najajara Ynu Stadium is the only stadium on this list, which is not just used for soccer, but also for a southern Rejistanian sport called Mjinen, a strange sport, which rules are not comprehensible for anyone, who did not grew up with it. In that respect is it similar to baseball and tennis.

Estadije Vaje~n Sekhika
http://www.fussballtempel.net/caf/TUN/7_novembre.jpg
Location: Vaje~n kali, Rejistania
Capacity: 84,200
Vaje~n kali (pronounciation help: it rhymes with the french word "matin") is a rather small city in southern Rejistania, but it always was a perfect place for high class soccer. Vaje~n Sekhika was the first professional soccer team in southern Rejistania, and the stadium is not the newest, but after renovations it is a worthy venue for international matches. The only problem is the really hot and humid climate, which maybe a reason why teams from the south overperform on their home ground against northern teams.

Estajie Sijitalatirikimidateme Xkora
http://www.fussballtempel.net/conmebol/CHL/Nacional_A.jpg
Location: Sijitalatirikimidateme kali, Rejistania
Capacity: 78,000
"The team from the city with the long name" is a typical name for Sijitalatirikimidateme Xkora, while everyone knows that the city is called "Sijitala...uluhet" by Rejistanis from other cities and "Sa~etahti~lki~ndae" by seleke. During the world cup, the stadium will be called "World Cup Stadium Northwest". Also many signs in the seleken language and alphabet (which is written vertically) will have translations in English, French and Rejistanian.

Estadije Hades Lavamje
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v42/allanea/hades-lavamje.jpg
Location: Kalimnintan kalesa, KaMaRi kali
Capacity 77,005
The Club Hades Lavamje is nearly as old as Hanin Sekhika and is its biggest rival. The name Hades does not refer to the greek underworld but to the to (at that time independent) cities of Hanin kali and Desnike kali. Both are now suburbs of the by far biggest city in whole Rejistania: KaMaRi kali. Hades Lavamje started as amateur soccer club accepting both Majuvedian and Minokaje players. The people living next to the stadium will be urged not to show 'welcome to hell' transparents on the road to the stadium like they used to during champions league matches at home. It not only hurt the rejistanian image, the pun also is old.
