Howdy all, Ive not posted all summer but Im finally back and can commit to an RP:
Here's the background:
Parallel to, but in a different dimension than our world, is another, one that mirrors ours but is nonetheless very different- full of magic instead of technology. (think the lion, witch, wardrobe or "the Talisman" by Stephen King)
This parrallel world is full of standard fantasy fare- wizards, witches, knights and goblins ect ect. In terms of government it is a confederation of baronies united under a powerful but leanient king- Charles IV- supported by an equally powerful but mostly benevolent Church- this land has its own version of the Bible and Christianity. There are thousands of pagan sects however, which are tolerated by the Church, though frequented by its missionaries. Most of these sects are holdovers from the ancient Elvish Empire which united almost the entire known world before human barbarians invaded and left it in ruin. It is mostly the elves (a vast minority in the human dominated Middle Empire) who follow the pagan, nature centered religions.
Geographically, the Middle Empire is hilly prairie land dotted by small farming villages and occasionally larger trading towns. In its center is the massive city of Delain, the Empire's capital. The city is a perfect circle, rotating the massive royal palace and Grand Cathedral. To the north lies a massive mountain range ("The Almighty's Crown" to humans, "El'Ashye" to the elves) dotted with ruins of the mysterious Dwarven Empire- the dwarves all disappeared five hundred years ago, the cause is unknown.... To the East lies the Azure Sea, it's scenic coast peppered with fishing and merchant villages. To the West, a vast and barren desert- the Archaric Wastes- ending in tall and unexplored mountains far in the West. The south is a pine filled wilderland from which the first humans emerged.
Now that you know a bit about that world, you should know abit about ours:
Year 2027: The world is much the same ten years from now as it is today. Technology has advanced, cars are beginning to get their power from the sun instead of gasoline, China is still communist, and the US of A is still embroiled in its war with Muslim extremists. A powerful, young, and charismatic player has stepped into the global scene- Andrew L. Kurtz, CEO of NoirTech Inc. NoirTech is the fastest growing international company in the world- it's business? Weapons. Legal, illegal-it matters little to Kurz, who deals his high tech arms to anyone who'll pay. NoirTech has control of nearly all organized crime along the Eastern sea-board of the US, and nearly ten Mayors on its payroll.
Now for the plot:
NoirTech, experimenting with new energy types in a hidden desert base ripped a hole in the wall between the dimensions, a hole in reality. It did not allow people or objects to travel between the two worlds, but allowed Kurtz to communicate with a rather ambitious- no to mention crazy- wizard, Artemis Velim, who also happened to be the advisor to the king of the Middle Empire. Velim immediately began using his exceptional skill in the arcane to complete the hole in the rift, allowing people- and weapons- to travel between the two worlds. Kurtz and Velim scheme to use NoirTech weaponry, and Velim's orcish soldiers (who live secretly in the sewers beneath Delain), to dominate the Middle Empire.
Characters:
Badguys:
Andrew Kurtz: played by me
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 37
Physical Desc.: Tall, in shape, handsome with and a narrow, wolfish face.
Eyes: Iceburg blue
Hair: jet black
Powers/abilities: accomplished fencer; marksman. Skilled with weapons of all types.
Occupation: CEO of NoirTech
Bio: Andrew Kurtz, originally Anthony Carpeggio, was born and raised in the slums of New York. His intelligence, coupled with his ruthlessness- a trait he inherited from his herion addicted father-allowed him to quickly rise the ranks of the local mafia. It was at age fifteen, while Carpeggio was working as a coke mule for low level mob boss Michael Bello, that he first started selling weapons. Anthony started with automatic pistols and revolvers, then graduated to submachine guns. Soon he had replaced Bello as the crime boss of the area. It was two years later that he started NoirTech, and with help from the extremely wealthy Saddler family his company started to branch out. At the young age of twenty one Anthony Carpeggio changed his named to Andrew Kurtz and NoirTech went international, selling weapons to anyone who'd buy. He married Jessica Saddler at 25, and had a son with her. Two years later Jessica discovered the truth to NoirCorp's business practices and died "mysteriously" in a subway accident. NoirTech has continued to grow under the strong leadership of Kurtz... and now is looking to spread its markets to new... unexplored territories.
Osmond Saddler: played by me,
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 35
Phys Desc: Very tall, thin, lanky, pale. Gaunt, leering face
Eyes: Emerald green
Hair: White, shoulder length
Powers/Abilities: Skilled martial artist, knife fighter; sniper

Bio: Osmond Saddler, the second child of Ferdinand Saddler- an extraordinarily rich and mentally unstable pharmecutical executive, grew up in a world full of physical comforts and lavish wealth. As a boy Osmond could have anything he wanted... except of course, his fathers love and attention. Ferdinand was too absorbed in his first daughter and cocaine habit to pay his strange and slightly flamboyant son any heed. Saddler grew increasingly unstable and lonely as he got older, until he met a young, ambitious business partner of his father's... Anthony Carpeggio. Carpeggio, who soon changed his name to Kurtz, quickly befriended the lonely Osmond, and the two schemed to build an arms empire using Saddler's money and Kurtz's cunning. Over the years Osmond has grown exceedingly eccentric, but ever more efficient at his work- namely killing those who stand in NoirTech's way. Other than Kurtz and several scientists, he is the only NoirTech employee who knows of the discovery of the Middle Empire.
Artemis Velim and lackies: King Arthur the Great
Want to come up with a bad guy of your own and tie him into the pot somehow? Perhaps Kurtz or Velims right hand (wo)man? Just give me a bio and Ill approve her/him if he/she fits into the story...
The Good guys:
King Charles IV: N/A, played by all

High Father Gregory XII (like a Pope in Middle Empire): N/A, played by all if he plays any role in the story
Prince/Princess: Son/Daughter of Charles- Open. Trained to be an excellent warrior and scholar (pls post teachers and training in bio), suspicious of his/her father's advisor
Son/ Daughter of Kurtz: A good kid, teenager, unaware of father's evil. Will eventually discover father's plot and realize it must be stopped. Goes to private school, rich kid ect- Starnell

Any ideas for a character? Feel free to post a bio and how he/she ties into the plot...
Thanks for your time, pls feel free to ask any questions I know the descriptions were long winded... I got a bit carried away...
