Foreward: I don't want anyone reading this and having no idea why I have it listed as 'Part III' of a three part story without giving you all the necessary means to read Parts I & II. Also, these first two were posted by 'Kalyfornia', I nation made prior to the the deletion of 'California and Alaska' and the resurrection of 'Sovereign California' for use of continuation of roleplay as California before my use of 'Sovereign California' to continue all roleplays relevant to 'California and Alaska'. Standing on the rooftop of a building in downtown Greater Los Angeles, KRCG/KRWN News Reporter Alex Royce stood with his microphone reading the recent tragedy to the camera. Behind him, one could see the jagged, gaping hole rimmed by pieces of structural steel supports, twisted rebar, pulverized brick, concrete and glass that until recently was the Californian Capital Building. Alex strained against the fierce turbulence generated by the downdraft of helicopter rotors overhead as the news camera cut to a recent picture of President Vassaretti with September 18, 2217 — August 24, 2259 listed below the photograph. Within a few minutes the camera cut back to Alex standing atop the rooftop and the smoldering ruins of the GCP Executive Tower 1 clearly in the distance, its thick greyish-white smoke creating a colossal pillar visible for over one-hundred miles away in San Diego.
Alex cut in giving a somber mood to the whole event, "So far this cloud has been visible from San Diego, San Francisco, and even as far as Bakersfield. Right now the members of the Parliament have met in an emergency session. We will wait and see the decision given by the new President, Jennifer Jourgensen."

Hours later, Alex Royce stood in front of the capital building of the Los Angeles Special Autonomous Region facing the camera. Gone was the shock and horror that had worn worry lines onto his face, looking towards the camera his face was a mask of grim uncertainty. He didn't like it... nor did the current President Jennifer Jourgensen or the 2.36 billion Californian citizens who were glued to screens across the nation. From the Phoenix Islands in the Pacific to San Mateo & San Vittorio on the Atlantic coast to the Californian republics in the Middle East the mood was that of absolute tension.
Western Mediterranean Sea
the CVN-77 Sandra M. Devnostraeva Battlegroup sat in the Alboran Sea roughly 70 miles of the coast of Cartagena, Spain. With the Sandra M. Devnostraeva sat the heavy battleships Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Alaska and the Colorado as well as several cruisers, and three attack subs. Katherine Portman was sitting on the flight deck of her carrier in a lawn chair wearing a navy blue bikini with her hat covering her face from the Meditteranean sun when Petty Officer 2nd Class Julianne Cardiff approached her "Ma'am, we have a message in the CIC that just came in from the mainland under direct orders from the President herself". With that Katherine got up and walked with her into the CIC without even bothering to think of changing into something more professional. Once inside the Combat Information Center she read the message herself before grinning ear to ear "Ladies and Gentlemen... raise anchor, plot a course for 21.50°N, 83.00°W. We've just been given orders to invade Cuba!"

President Jennifer Jourgensen stood at the podium in the Parliamentary Assembly, while she waiting for everyone to be seated and quiet she downed a half glass of Courvosier cognac while looking over her information she sliently nodded to herself before looking up to see that everyone was seated and accounted for. "Ladies and Gentlemen, our international intelligence network has uncovered information that has shed alot of light on the recent attack on our capital." She paused letting the weight of her words sink in, causing murmurs among everyone in the room. "Recently we sent the Central Intelligence Department into action and when they brought the news back we were taken back by what we found. Sure we destroyed all of the Revolutionary Alliance of Socialist California's bases here within California, but we have discovered they have been operating out of Havana, Cuba for as long as we have known about their existence... which means they could have been operating out of Cuba for longer prior to our taking interest in them, and they could have been operating inside of California for just as long."
