The nature of the Fractal Megaverse was difficult to comprehend. At one moment a nation could be your greatest enemy and the next it could completely cease to exist without a single person on either side realizing. Auman, one of the greatest military powers on the face of the planet Mars was a hightech and industrious nation. Its war fleets had gone beyond the solar system. Its Shock Troopers were renowned for their stubborn determination to hold Aumanii soil closer to their hearts than their own wives...
Usually, anyway. Today, however, the Aumanii are a laid back people who reside in the Greek archipelago...Their massive population of six billion somehow live in extreme comfort in the tiny little scrap of land, and, in an almost complete reverse of their futuristic counterparts, their military is quite small...almost insignifigant in comparison to the powers. Earth V, or just Earth as the local Aumanii call it, is paradise!
...Paradise indeed as Auman, Earth V's Auman, is one of the greatest tourist destinations on the face of the planet...Tourists are the nation's #1 Import.
Security is lax, at best. The military prefers to drink Ouzo and play the mandolin and the government is easily bribed. Thus is the laid back atmosphere of Auman.
