The Toraquan Giants are officially known as Toraquays National Rugby Team, although they play against 11 other teams in the national league, the Giants have been chosen on a number of occasions to represent the nation due to its finest offensive play. Since 1976, when the Toraquan League started, the Giants (Originally known as the Howling Wolves up until 1979) have claimed some 11 championships & have played in 16 grandfinals, missing narrowly a small 5 times. Dont be fooled by their looks!

The Locke Harbour Blues (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Locke_Harbour_Blues), members of the PopularFreedom Rugby League (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/PopularFreedom_Rugby_League) would like to sign up for this tournament.

The league we play in was formed in 1984, though our team was formed in 2005 for the 2006 season.

GEOGRAPHY
We are situated in the capital of Locke Harbour, in the neighbourhood of Locke Harbour South (http://www.geocities.com/pf_ssa/apfm-lhcs-detail.html).

A picture of Locke Harbour Stadium, home of the Locke Harbour Blues, can be found HERE (http://img83.imageshack.us/my.php?image=lhncslhs1zp.jpg) to the south of highway PHS-116.

A highway map of Locke Harbour (http://img394.imageshack.us/my.php?image=20060101phsinlh8vo.jpg) can be found here. Locke Harbour Stadium is located along highway PHS-116 just west of PHS-103.

All international flights to and from Locke Harbour enter Locke Harbour International Airport which is located along highway PHS-107 (http://img394.imageshack.us/my.php?image=20060101phsinlh8vo.jpg) in the Locke Harbour neighbourhood of Skyview (http://www.geocities.com/pf_ssa/apfm-lhcs-detail.html).

The airport located just east of Locke Harbour Stadium is Locke Harbour South National Airport and is only available for domestic travel (in case anyone was curious).

HISTORY
Despite only being around for a year, the history behind Locke Harbour South earning a franchise is extensive:

In 1983 when the city of Locke Harbour along with the remaining PRL teams were assembled to begin the first season of rugby play in the spring of 1984, the biggest debate focused on where the games would be played in the metropolis of Locke Harbour. In the southern region of the massive metropolis you had the main downtown core, and a newly built Locke Harbour Stadium. In the north however you had the aptly named Champions Heaven Stadium. Located closer to the international airport and in a more centralized location the mayors of the supercity through much debate choose the northern facility over the southern one, despite protests from the mayor of Locke Harbour South.

Locke Harbour South has since that time pushed for an expansion franchise. This push has been continually blocked by the northern Locke Harbour franchise however.

In March of 2005 the town of Camelot, in the southwest of PopularFreedom, was granted a rugby franchise (the Camelot Sentry) to begin play during the 2006 season. The unknown Camelot backers however were unable or unwilling to pay the franchise fee on time. As word of this leaked to the media, the mayor of Locke Harbour South quickly arranged to pay the fee if the team could be set up in the southern part of Locke Harbour. Before Locke Harbour North, home of the Locke Harbour Dragons could object, the PopularFreedom Rugby League (PRL) accepted. A major reason why the PRL accepted despite the harsh objections from the Dragons franchise was that the other expansion team in 2006, the Magna Carta Crusaders, had insisted that they be brought in with another team. Therefore with Locke Harbour South so willing, after the collapse of the Camelot entry, to pay the franchise fee and accept a team, coupled with the quality of Locke Harbour Stadium (home of the Locke Harbour Blues), and with the knowledge that it was unlikely any other offer would appear to take over the team, the PRL executives accepted the Locke Harbour South proposal leading to the creation of the Locke Harbour Blues.

The 2006 season was not kind to the Locke Harbour Blues. They were woefully outclassed in the PRL and came in dead last with 16 points, 12 back of the next team. As the 2006 PRL standings (http://www.geocities.com/PopularFreedomTicker/2006-prl.htm) attest, they were only able to win 2 of 18 matches. Next season they do expect to be better however with the proper preparation, and should do well in tier 2 of the PRL. This tournament/league will hopefully help in their preparation for the upcoming PRL rugby season in February 2007.

The Mexican Bulls are proud to annouce their home stadiums entry into the NS Rugby League following a nail-bitting compeition for a stadimum.
The Stadium officially known as Winchester South Stadium will host a number of games in the season & will put in a bid to host some of the finals & possibily the Grand Finals. The Stadium can currently hold 42,900 people although an additional several rows can be added in certain events to top the 50,000 marker.

Founded in Los Mexico's Capital Kingston in 1997, the Stadium has hosted 3 Los Mexican Rugby Grand Finals, 2 National Soccer Championships & has hosted all of the Los Mexican Grid-Iron Finals since 2001. Although many teams play at the World-Famous Winchester South, only one team, the Mexican Bulls can call it their home-ground.

"Beautiful" declared Leon Gebbert, foreman of the Green High Stadium project.

As he gazed upon it's marvelous contours and gleaming steel (OOC: Think Mile High Stadium in Denver, CO, but bigger), he could barely believe that he had been the one to bring this project to from paper to reality.

"So, how many can it hold?" asked Wolfgang Hagan, director of KCToker's Athletics.

"123,550 people can be confortably seated in here, although, with that new rugby league about to start, I don't think alot of people are gonna be sitting!" mused Leon.

"I know what you mean, I'm going to go right now and tell the President that it's ready and to send off a telegram to the league officials, telling them our stadium is ready".

"Hey, just between you and me, any chance of getting free tickets to the home games?"

"I'll see what I can do"

My nation is very open to the world and we let our citizens come and go as they please, but as they leave our borders they are still our citizens and we will protect them as so, As a developed nation and one of the few free and safe countries in the free modern world, we ask that each nation protect our sport teams as they visit each nation in the league. As other sporting teams play in our sporting venus from our capital in Houston to our largest city Columbia we will protect each team as if they were our own. They however will not be portected in motorcades or with armed military personal nor do we expect our sport teams to be done the same but we pormise that each nation will be protected as best as our local police can with help of other governmental agencys as long as our nations teams are protected and treated respectivly.

This is a new club. But the experiance is there. With The top coaching staff Delesa could find, the staff ahnd-picked the team after intense try-outs and scouting. The team put together here should prove a challenge for the other teams.

Coach Sean Louis belives in strong offence but with out a strong defence they would loss many games. The staff thought the same way and came out with a +4 team. With the strong defence and a even more powerful offence, Delesa United is a team to be messed with.
