(OOC Intro: Trusted enemies is the name of this RP because all people trust children and do not see them as a threat. Just jump right in with your character. I will play the staff and enemys if one of you is sent on a mission. Enjoy)

John Hart paced the entrance hall of the Academy looking at the 30 kids in front of him. Some of the kids stared back at him while others looked away when he met eyes with them. All these children were the new recruits to the Academy aged 12 and with no family connections on the outside world. These kids would be trained to infiltrate and gather information on nations and organisations who threatened the world. But that wouldn't be the only thing. These kids would also be given a normal education so to succeed in the 'real world' if they left the Spy business. John stopped pacing the room and faced the kids.

"Well boys and girls, I'm Mr Hart the founder and Head of the Academy. You have been chosen to attend here because you all possess unique skills. You are here to help protect the world from large threats by gathering information and maybe taking the threat out of the equation if you know what I mean. However if you want to leave right now go ahead. The doors right there."

He paused for a moment scanning the sea of kids. Not one of them had turned to the door but many were talking to their neighbours. He let the talking die down before continuing.

"Right from here on in you are students of the Academy. You have all been allocated rooms which you will share with4 other people. The rooms contain new TVs, consoles, computers and an ensuite bathroom. Lunch will be served at 1400 hours but usually just go to the canteen whenever you feel unless in lessons and obviously when you are away on missions."

Here he was greeted by nervous laughter. All kids reacted the same way when they heard they may be sent on missions so he had to reassure them.

"Don't worry you won't send you on missions until we are 100% sure you can handle all that is expected of you. Lessons start tomorrow. You have all been given timetables and there are also extra curricular activities avaliable. As I can see from your timetable your first lesson is history followed by self defence. If you have any problems ask one of the older students, teachers or come to my office but I may be unavaliable some of the time. Now get used to your new home."

With that the kids all started talking to each other. Some stayed in the entrance hall looking around others went to their rooms to unpack and see all the little gadgets that were in them. John left the entrance hall and went to his office.

(OOC: so how old are these kids?)

OOC: They are 12. I chose this age because they are just entering the teenage world and their whole world will change as well as their mentalilty. Also no bad guy expects a 12 year old to bring them down..

ooc: Are these regular kids, or those with enhancements/psionics, or a mix?
if psionics = yes, is is Telekineses or Telepathy only, or are Precog, Clairvoyence/Farseeing/Remote Viewing, Pyrokineses, or Telempathy) allowed(and I'm guessing weak level abilities(small campfire, surface thoughts, 20kg ect)
if enhancements = yes, assuming would be mild strength/speed/reaction increase(about adult level), regen(about 10 % faster) ect
Also are the rooms co-ed or gender only?

OOC:Regular kids who have been picked for the very reason of being kids. Also rooms are co-ed.The Academy is relaxed about rules like this. Helps build relationships and confidence. The kids do not have special powers otherwise life wouldn't be so much of a challenge...

ooc: Ah, reason I asked was because you mentioned them possessing unique skills.
Also I'm guessing these kids are/were orphans that got 'adopted' by this group?

OOC:That is true. They have been 'adopted' from care homes where they have been scouted out by older children who are sent on these scouting missions. I got this idea from a book I once read and thought it could make an interesting RP.

After the man finished talking, a redheaded girl stepped forward and spoke, "And what if we don't want to do these 'missions'?" She asked, as she had a bit of a temper and likewise a problem with subordination.

ooc: So they're just regular kids, correct?

OOC: Yes they are.

John looked at this girl that had approached. He automatically, due to his spying background, took in every detail of the girl. She seemed to be very upfront.

"Well young lady. You can easily refuse to go on thes missions but you would have to leave. We would set you up with a foster family trusted by us and would make sure you received a decent education. If you want to leave just tell me now and we could have a new family for you by the morning."

John looked at the girl waiting for her response...

"Since that situation hasn't come up yet, it's a non-issue, but I retain the right to tell you to fuck yourself if I want to refuse a mission." She replied

This girl had a temper which could be good or bad depending on the situation. John stared at her. "She could make a good spy yet", he thought.

"Well you could tell me to fuck myself but you never know you may even enjoy the missions. Do you want to stay at home go to school and thinking what if in 20 years time or do you want o travel the world and do things only a handful of people have done? Think about it."

"I will." She commented as she headed off toward the largest and most well appointed room. She was after the lion's share of confort.

John watched as the girl walked off and chuckled lightly. It was only the first day and already he was noticing the stronger characters. He turned and walked to his office but stopped to talk to his receptionist/bodyguard. Her name was Melissa Green. She had been a spy for many years before retiring at the age of 30. She was offered the job because she was a valuable source of information and also knew everything concerned with the running of The Academy. She had long black hair and was very attractive. This attractive exterior hid a deadly foe. Melissa could kill with almost anything as many o;d enemies had found out a little too late however on at the Academy she acted like a big sister with the kids.

"Hey Mel", John said as he approached her, "any messages?"

"Well", she said turning in her chair almost gracelike, "messages have come from the situations in Singapore and India. The Singapore situation is almost ready to complete but the Indian situation may need more time. The target seems to be very tricky to catch out. Anyway what are the new kids like?" she asked this every year. The kids were like family to her and she would do anything to protect them.

"Well some seem nervous others seem excited but this one girl caught my attention. She has a fiery temper and is very inqusitive. She could become a great spy or if she fell into the wrong hands a dangerous foe."

The last thing had happened once with unpleasant consequences. It hurt the more because the person who had turned had also been his and Melissas best friend when they were growing up in the Academy. They both fell silent remebering what had happened.

"Anyway. We've all got work to do", he said as he went into his office.

History Class

Linda Green looked at the class in front of her. They were talking to each other and just getting their stationary ready.

"Right class. I'm Miss Green your history teacher. Now before we start I want to hear what you think of history in general. Is it boring, exciting, strange? What are your opnions?"

She did this every year to determine each students character from their answer. Also she found some of the opnions interesting.

"Hello Miss Green." The redhead commented, "I know what I think of history, but what do YOU think of history?" She asked, turning the teacher's question back on her.

ooc: I've been busy, also we need more people

OOC: I know but they're not joining. Tis saddening. Maybe I'll make a belated OOC/Sign up thread

Miss Green looked at the redhead and smiled.

" What do I think of history? Well I think without our history there would be no present or future. I think history is interesting and shows humanity at its best and worst times. To me history also acts as a warning to us because if we don't take heed of it then we are doomed to make the same mistakes over and over. Now I've answered the question how about you do to."

Adam was in his dorm practicing knife drills. Although they were traditionally done with a wooden dagger, he had "obtained" a real one last year. Staring at his reflection in the blade he thought What's stopping me from walking straight up to the headmaster's office and stabbing him in the throat right now? He paused, trying to get that thought out of his head. Ever since the incident almost two years ago...he had already been at this school for one year, but he felt that he still had so much to learn, not about the world but about himself.

All of a sudden the bell rang and Adam took a drink of water, untied his black belt, changed out of his Escrima uniform to the nondescript gray tunic that he usually wore and went to algebra class.

"Well to me, histroy's history and a tool to use when necessary." She replied

ooc: Do you want me to do a ooc template as well?

OOC: If you want to you can.

History Class

Linda was interested in this statement.

"Okay so when is history necessary? All the time? When we are repeating past mistakes? When we have nothing else to turn to? Remember history is not all facts but also analysis."

Algebra Class

Jacob Merton, teacher of Algebra, looked towards the door as a student entered. It was Adam.

"Adam you are late. Get to your desk and start copying these notes."

Jacob seemes stern but he was doing this to get al of the students prepared in case they were called for missions. They needed to know that punctuality was needed to avoid suspicion in the criminal world.

Mallorey looked at the teacher, "It's necessary when you're facing a problem you're unable to solve from your own experiance, knowladge or situation, or when you know the problem has already been solved." She replied

History Class

This girl was very clever. Linda saw potential in her.

"Hmm interesting. Right class we need to get on with the lesson. Todays lesson will be the history of this school. This school was first set up by Nigel Frad in 1949. At that time there was a Cold War brewing and so people needed to know what was going on. Who better to find out than a child? Clever, innocent and never suspected of being a spy. However in the 1980's the school was closed after the Cold war ended as it was seen the school wasn't needed. But John Hart, your Head, re-established the scholl in the late 1990s as global crime was rising. Any questions so far?"

"Which side instigated this program in 1949, who does John Hart work for, and what kind of missions due we go on?" She asked

" The founding side of the school is classified information which is only distributed to those who need it so I'm not allowed to tell you. John Hart works for himself. He has taken it on himself to protect the world from corrupt leaders, large crime syndicates and other illegitimate organisations. The missions you are sent on vary. You could be sent on a recruiting mission in some care home or you could be gathering information on a leader who is trying to instigate a war or take over the world. Sometimes it will be upto you to stop them."

"Alright." She replied, "What is the fail rate, mortality rates, have there been any double agents or turn coats, and if so what's happened to them?" She asked

Linda was very interested in this girls iquiring nature but she also felt they were stepping into dangerous waters.

"Well the mortality rate is very low. If we feel an agent is under threat we pull them out quickly and as safely as possible but there is always a risk. Fail rates are also low but when there is a fail there is a large situation. Drug trafficking could go through the roof, a war could break out. And turncoats...", she paused. This part was always difficult to talk about because it seemed so surreal.

"There has been one turncoat. We don't know why but ever since they turned they fled and is now in hiding. If he had been caught then he would have been expelled from here and put in a prison or kept under surveillance for the rest of his life."

Mallorey nodded, "Are we going to learn about him?" She asked

"No. As he is still a major threat we cannot teach you anything. It may be that one day you may have to go on a mission involving this man and everything you need to know about him will be given in your mission briefing. Mr Hart did not want him studied due to the turncoat once being one of his closest friends. Right you have each got a textbook in front of you. Turn to page 32 where you will find additional information on this academy. Make notes. If you have more questions just ask."

She frowned. She'd have to go perster Hart about the man. Looking through the text she found she didn't have any questions and just waited as the other students read.

Half hour later

Linda had to answer a few questions from the other kids but they were basic ones. The only thing she had been thinking about while the kids were writing was Andy...He had broken her heart when he did what he did. The bell rang.

"Right kids its time for your next lesson. Pack your stuff up and off you go."

"And what is the next lesson?" Mallorey asked as she shoved the book into her bag and stood.

"Well", said Linda picking up a piece of paer from the floor and unfolding it, " according to your timetable it would be Self defence."

She just nodded as she headed off to the next class, wondering what it would compose of.

Adam copied down the notes on polynomial factoring. His martial arts training had taught him to focus, but in his mind he was practicing knife drills. After he was done he put his pencil down and stared at the blackboard.

Martial Arts

Terry Nate stood in front of the class. He had martial arts training in all forms and had spent 5 years with the Shaolin Monks. He was a calm focused person who could kill an enemy with his little finger, something these kids would learn eventually. The class settled down in front of him.

"Right children I am Terry but in class I shall be addressed as Sensei. Martial Arts is not about attacking an enemy. It is a way to focus all your energy and to defend yourself when attacked. This class will not be easy. Many injuries result in this class from students mucking around and not listening. There are many forms of Martial Arts but we will mainly focus on Tai Chi and Karate. Now before we begin have any of practised a martial art before or do you have any questions?"


Algebra Class

The lesson had been quiet today focusing on their work. As he sat at the front going through other work when he received a message through his earpiece. All teachers had this earpiece to receive private messages. Jacob looked stood up in front of the class.

"Right students each of have a meeting with Mr Hart. This is only for the people in this class so it must be important. You are to head to his office immediatly and wait in line in alphabetical order outside. Off you go."

"What is Tai chi, what is Karate, and what do you know of the traitor dude?" She asked the teacher from where she was sitting.

"Well Tai Chi is a form of meditation martial arts. It has been used for centuries to relax the body and also to increase the health of the body. It is usually done in slow motion to relax your body and mind. Now Karate is almost the exact opposite. It is fast and is used for defence. They both help you focus. Now you ask me about the 'traitor dude'. What little I can tell you is that he betrayed the people of this Academy to join the enemy, who was Hilton Graft who was trying to release a dangerous biological weapon upon the world. He was long disposed of but the traitor is suspected of trying to continue his predecessors work."

Mr. Hart? Adam thought. What the hell does he want?. He left the class and lined up with the other 'S' people for 'Slade' his last name.

John looked out of his office window while waiting for the next student. The kids so far he had talked to had left the room differently. Some were scared others anxiuos and a few excited. He looked down the list. It looked like Adam Slade was next. He spoke into the intercom.

"Mel send in the next student."

"Then how will those two styles work together?" She asked, "Also what kind of bio-weapon is he trying to use?"

"It is true that the two styles are complete opposites but the reason they are taught is because Tai Chi is moving meditation which keeps you healthy in body and mind and helps you to relax. Karate is used in combat if you are being attacked and should only be used in such situations. Tai Chi you can do at anytime like before a big event to calm your nerves. The bio-weapons he was planning to build is classified information. You will find this alot because we can never be too careful. Right class if you stand up and follow me to the gym we will start the practical training."

Mallorey shook her head as she followed the teacher. She wouldn't be surprised if thier marks turned out to be classified as well.

Terry waited for the students to stand on a mat. He watched the red haired girl, he looked down the register, Mallorey her name. She was very questioning, maybe to questioning a factor that could get her killed in the real world.

"Right class we are going to start with simple breathing exercises to relax our bodies and minds. Take in a deep breath then release slowly. Do this a couple of times."

He waited a couple of minutes as the students did this.

"Right now we are going to do stretches. If you don't do stretches before exercising you risk injury. Its happened to me a few times before and it is very unpleasant. First put your right leg as far out as front as you can while keeping your left foot steady. Stop once you feel a strain on your right leg.."

He then proceeded to talk the class through some other simple stretches..

Mallorey did the stretches as she wondered what the heck these were suppose to do as she was more flexible than the stretches.

"Right so has anyone here had any martial arts experience before? If so raise your hand because for the next part I will need a volunteer. I'm going to tell you throwing is involved."

Adam walked into the room. Let's see what happens.

Mallorey waited for someone to volunteer.

Martial Arts

"So no volunteers at all. I guess we may have to improve the general confidence of this class. Right we'll forget the throws for today. Instead well concentrate on kicks..." At this point the bell rang. "Hmm seems we spent more time stretching than we meant to. This is your last class for today so you can go exploring of the site. This evening is movie night in the lounge.off you go class."

Harts office

John waited for Adam to be seated before he began.

"Well Adam you've been with us for year now so it's time for your first mission. A situation has occured in Japan. A large technology company seems to be invested in some new type of weaponry that could be very dangerous for the rest of the world. We need as much information as possible so we are sending you. You will be undercover as exchange student who will be based with one of the managers. The manager has much information on the project. The managers son will come here and will be based with one of our families to make it seem like a real exchange. None of this information should be told to anybody. Go get packing."

Mallorey had been about to point out that maybe none of them had any martial arts experiance when the bell rang. She then began exploring the building, wondering if she'd run into anyone.
