ooc: open to anybody BUT, no future tech, no large death squads or anything like that

It was nearly noon when four members of the Red Guard stormed into the Office of the People’s President
“Comrades! What is the meaning of this intrusion?” Demanded President Dylanshki.
“President” said the young faced sergeant leading the group, “we were ordered here by the Minister Kalif, in concerns for your safety.”
“What has happened comrade?”
“Sir, about two thousands protestors are marching towards the hall of government, we believe they are being led by bourgeois leaders of the Catholic Church, in response to the proposal in Congress to tax ninety eight percent of all monies given to the Church.” Upon hearing this Dylanshki picked up the red phone on his desk
“Captain, place guards at the gates of the complex, but instruct your men not to engage the protestors unless the order comes directly from me” he said sternly then hung up the phone “Comrade, take your men outside, and position them in the hall leading up to my office, I want you to send word to Congress and my executive cabinet.
As the Red Guard left the office, the president stepped onto the balcony above the courtyard, he could hear the approach of the protestors, who seemed to be chanting prayers. Below he could see members of the Red Guard and Regular army taking up positions just outside the gates to the great complex that housed the entire executive branch of the government.

The speaker of the Presidium of the Congress was proposing to end the day’s proceedings when the doors to the chambers swung open, and a young commander of The Red Guard came running down the aisle, up onto the Presidium and whispered into the Speakers ear
“What!” he exclaimed looking at the officer is disbelief, “Comrades, I have just been given some most disturbing news, it seems that outside the Hall of Government angry religious protestors are defending the church against the proposal scheduled to be voted on tomorrow!” He continued speaking, but could not be heard over the commotion in the Chambers.

President Dylanshki sat scratching notes onto a slip of paper, while the sounds of the protestors just fifty yards from his office window came from below. Leaning back in the chair, looking at the slip of paper he lifted the black phone on his desk. Comrade, activate the PA system in the courtyard. Suddenly the hiss of concealed amplifiers could be heard coming to life. The president straightened his tie, and walked onto the balcony over the courtyard, when the protestors saw him, loud “boooss” ensued, followed by a chanting of “Government out of religion” Dylanshki lifted his hands, in an attempt to silent the crowd
“Comrades” he begin “Comrades please listen to me..” as the crowd slowly began to settle down. “This is a turbulent time in the history of our people” he began sternly “Our great nation has only begun to show its true potential, and is beginning to make a name for itself in the international community. For years we lived as slaves to the oppressors, to the businessmen, the military leaders, to those who would see us suffer for their own gain. I come to you now, not as your president, but as a fellow Comrade! It is well known that throughout all the fascism we have seen, through all the oppression we have endured, throughout all of it, the church was always behind the bourgeoisie. The church has always conspired with the oppressors, so that its leaders can benefit!” At the sound of this much of the crowd booed and hissed, but others begin to look up contemplating what was being said; “I ask you, no I beg you, do not be blinded by these so called men of god, do not let the sow the seeds of counter revolution when we are so close to being a great land. Please go home to your families, your friends, and let this matter be settled in Congress where it belongs, not on the streets at the hands of the bourgeoisies.”
He looked over the crowed, stern faced and was pleased to see about a quarter of the protestors walking way, but the rest started to pray aloud, almost twice as loud as before. Dylanshki sighed, motioned for the PA to be shut off, and returned through the class doors to his office.
