Introduction:
Rotovia is essentially divided into three levels of Government; The Commonwealth -the 236 nations aligned under the Empress of Rotovia, The Republic -The Constitutional Republic of Rotovia, made up of the Four True States and an assortment of Territories, The Provinces -the nineteen provinces that make up The Republic and are allowed to send members to The Senate.
The Senate is the supreme legislative authority of The Republic, in addition to being the 'chamber of second thought' for any legislation passed by a Commonwealth Parliament.
Standings:
The Senate is currently controlled by the "Grand Liberal Coalition", a coalition government of the Liberal Party of Rotovia, the Rotovian Republican Party and The Liberal Reform Party, with the Liberals holding the Head of Government status and it's national party chair, Crown Prince, Senator Dionysus Bacchus, standing as President.
