BATTLE OF THE BANDS!!!

The Democratic Republic will be holding the first NS Battle of the Bands. Do you have a band that you think are great. Do you have the will and drive to be successful? Can you entertain a crowd of thousands? If you answer Yes to all these questions then sign up!! The Battle of the Bands will be a series of concerts and festivals at the following locations.

Resa Stadium
The Resa Stadium is in the heart of Londim and its capital of Resa. It is the biggest stadium in Londim and has held many concerts over the years. It is a modern stadium with all the latest entertainment technology avaliable. Seating 20,000. Standing 14000.


Jihnburg
Jihnburg is Londim main festival site. Many festivals have been held here including Jihnbaroo, the biggest festival in Londim. Holds 4 stages and can allow a maximum capacity of 7000 tents which can hold a mximum of 5 people. Apart from the music there are many other attractions like all the weird and wonderful stalls. This is a place not to be missed.

Linton Arena
This is a new arena which finished construction a few weeks ago. The Battle of the Bands will be the first show to be put on here. Standing capacity 7000 seated 14000.

Brief History: The band formed in 1995 when all the members were in grade 10, they jammed a bit. The entered a few local band contests and they won. A major record label heard them at one of these and signed them. The rest is history.

Hi I was interested in hearing about the battle of the bands....

Might i suggest the prospective bands set up a virtual mypace (type) site, which might be used for our propsepctive audience to get an idea of what to expect at the festival...

It might also be an idea to run a preemptive podcast of a good selection of the bands playing, before the festival, possibly working with traditional media to gain further exposure..

I suggest that all nations/regions particpating hold smaller partner events, to give each region involved an interaction with the format, which will also serve to develop partners in each region required to produce a truly international event...

In the meantime I hope all goes well and I'll suggest participation to any bands that i might know in our region...

That is an interesting idea
. Nations can propose bands that are big in their nations. The Battle is to showcase music from around the world.
If bands can setup their own myspace (not in RL just for the sake of the RP) then they can. Anyway many places are still avaliable so sign up NOW!!!!!
