Thinking of starting a Future Tech RolePlay, open, of course.
Here's the basis for it...
Starts off after a successful liberation of a backwater planet by a small joint coalition lead by the Corporate Empire of Krowemoh, and on the return journey home with a load of both political prisoners from the liberation as well as New Government appointed delegates, the six ships in the task force come under some form of attack/invasion.
Here's some more info. The task force consists of four Krowemohian Colony Class Ships, and two Krowemohian Light Battle Cruisers. The RP will take place on the fourth Colony Ship to start, and maybe move to one of the Light Battle Cruisers. I plan on ending it with *CENSORED*. Sorry, censored so there are no spoilers for the ending.
While most of the task force consists of Krowemohians, there will be a number of other races/nationals etc who took part of it. These will be your characters, obviously. :P They will all, conviently, be on the fourth Colony ship. While obviously military types would be perfer, any character archtype would be accepted (Mechanic, medic, etc etc.)
Tech level is Future Tech, so energy weapons, Mono-filiment weapons (In fact, there is a very deadly Mono-filiment wire trap I have planned for the RP to axe off most of the NPCs), etc will be allowed. If your character has access to it, then he/she can use it in this RP.
Of course, these weapons will be stored in the Armory when not needed (Not in a combat situation), in a personal locker bearing your character's name. The locker is locked by a keypad lock, six number code is needed. Make one up and TG it to me when you post your chara. If you want. I'll write it down in Word, so if you forget, just TG me and I'll TG it back to you.
Your characters, having spent the last few months on the ship prior to the mission, will know the lay out of the Colony ship pretty well, and be at the very least familiar with the other PCs. In fact, I think we'll all be in the same squad probably. It will work like this, for a month at a time, half of the crew on each ship will be up and awake and around, while the other half is in Hypersleep. Our charas are all on Shift B, the half of the crew currently in Hypersleep.
This RP is a Stand Alone RP. It doesn't Has to have any effect on your nation or your nation's relation to my own. If you want, it can.
If enough people show interest, I'll post up the chara template, and my own characters and the important people EVERYONE knows on the ship (The Captain, Chief of Security, etc. etc.). In the mean time, feel free to ask questions here and I'll answer.
