Sculptor Galaxy Story Arc:
This thread is designed for review by a specific group of players and not intended as a sign up or any other silliness, mostly due to my technical incompetance. Any posts not made by the group of players will probably be ignored.

Aumanii scientists discover a plot device that allows them to boost the range of their ship engines. The independent, civilian, organization "Aumanii Scientific and Exploration Society" announce their intention to travel to Sculptor. The military, keen on gathering intelligence of their own, offer their protection of the vessel with a Gorgon Battle Group lead by Naga. The Aumanii government, as well, finally relents to several requests by the Allaneans to form some sort of diplomatic relationship, in a somewhat unexpected move, the Aumanii invite them to the expedition, which the Allaneans accept. The Civilian Science Ship, which Naga's command labels "Vendetta" for the mission, arrives and begins aggressive scans.
Almost Immediately, they are beset upon by the Niiatar Empire. The Niiatar are an Iuthian splinter group, just like the Aumanii. The Niiatar were in fact supposed to relieve the Aumanii in combat operations on Mars just before the Iuthian Empire fell and as a direct result of their unexplained disappearance, the Aumanii were forced to stay and in the end, form the Aumanii Co-Prosperity Sphere, this would not have happened if the Niiatar took over as they probably would have returned to Iuthia...this single event was a major catalyst for the development of modern Mars.
Unknown to the Aumanii and Allaneans at the time, a malevolant evil force dominates the galaxy, any group that makes itself too conspicuous is usually attacked, brutally. The Niiatar learned this lesson the hard way, surviving several assaults, they soon discovered that fighting was not an option...the enemy messes with the minds of men, tricking them, driving them mad...no one, no thing, is to be trusted. Ever. So, when the Niiatar see the Aumanii they do recognize them, but obviously this would be too good to be true. Once again the Enemy is playing on the hopes of the descendants of the original Niiatar. The hopes that some day the Iuthian Empire would send their brothers, the Aumanii, to evacuate them.
The Sculptorese colony of New Havenics was formed some time ago. Upon arrival they tended to stay low key, probably the reason why they have remained unmolested by The Enemy. The most notable thing the Sculptorese have done was set up an array of heavy and elaborate defenses, this stability has made the Sculptorese colony a hub for local trade and its economic success is built upon their military strength.
The Enemy, well, no one really quite knows what the Enemy is...the majority of the races in the Sculptor Galaxy haven't seen or heard from them in a few millenia and damn well want to keep it that way. After a few million years of living on the brink of extinction several the races that managed to survive live their lives based on superstition. Some races believe that saying the Enemies true name, which no one knows anymore, will bring an immediate attack, some believe that wearing white after a certain day will kill your crops, some believe that stepping on a crack will force the Enemy to break your mother's back. It happens very often in the Sculptor Galaxy that one empire will go to war with another because they believe that they committed some offense that will bring immediate reprisal to them...or even worse, bring back The Enemy.
