SoulScience Golf Magazine presents "Tee to Green": A look at SoulScience Golfers on the NSPGA tour

- - - - - -

It is 6am and Drew Jacobsen has already been on the driving range for nearly an hour with his father/coach/caddy Hugh Jacobsen. While the 23 year old phenom tries to act nonchalant, his eyes betray extreme amounts of stress. Every eye in his nation is upon this youngster - he is considered SoulScience's only hope of winning an NSPGA tournament this year. Expectations are incredibly high...

Some people crumble under pressure, Jacobsen simply becomes a workaholic. "I haven't really slept much this week - I lie down and try to close my eyes and all I see is the course. I have only played a few practice rounds on the Sunny Southern Links and certain parts of the course scare me. For example, this course can play very easy if you are long and accurate off the tee. I am anything but long off the tee, so I will be playing a lot of mid irons into the greens. And the greens are so well protected that if you miss, you have a difficult up and down. So, I have spent hours and hours lying in bed, looking at the ceiling and going through every hole in my mind - I want to know where to miss and where not to miss. I want to be one hundred percent clear on where to place my tee shots. I want to be one hundred percent clear on when and where I can gamble. There are way too many great golfers in this association for me to leave anything to chance."

When further questioned on the field and his place in it, Jacobsen rolls his eyes, "I am not sure that I really belong with these people. I read their golfing resumes and feel barely qualified to carry their clubs, much less play golf with them."

His father interrupts, "Drew has always been like this - he minimizes his own abilities and maximizes everyone else's."

The brilliant young golfer's recent history seems to suggest that he absolutely belongs on this tour. In four years of SSNCAA golf, he lead his team to four National Championships and won individual "Player of the Year" awards three times. His senior year was ultimately a golf clinic - the youngster was ranked number one in the SSNCAA in driving accuracy, Greens in Regulation and Putting.

This fact makes Drew Jacobsen turn away in embarassment, "I had a good year, last year and I managed to put together some great rounds. Those three aspects are extremely important to my game - I am not long enough to play a power game, so I have to play a finesse game. And playing finesse golf means making the most of opportunities that are presented to me. WIth that....." he pauses for a moment and looks back at the driving range, "I have an opportunity right now to go out and hit some more mid-irons. With your permission, I would like to make the most of that opportunity." He stands up to signify that our interview is over and shakes my hand.

In other news, SoulScience's other golfer in the NSPGA, Pete Anders has been painting Reichsburg red all week. A regular fixture in the pubs of Reichsburg, at one point, Anders was so drunk that he tried his best pick up line on a speaker cabinet. There is no word on whether the speaker cabinet was impressed, but the fact that Anders was not electrocuted seems to indicate that he went back to his hotel solo.

The badly hungover Anders shot an 88 in a practice round today. After the round, he was on his way to the 19th hole and he commented, "Well, at least I know how not to play this course. Why do you *censored* people even *censored* care what I'm *censored* doing? Go find Drew..."

Danny Biggs & Henry Jui to tackle round one:
While the entire tour players had ups & downs on the practise day yesterday, Jui & Biggs shot a round in the high 60's. Jui scored a handsome 68 while Biggs had his ups & downs but managed a three under par 69. Both players agree with most players that the course requires accuracy on the course otherwise your score wont be real good. Jui known to Fade & Draw the ball 90& of the time said that the draw helped him master the fairways yesterday while Biggs known for his short game said middle-short irons had to be used accuratily & smoothly if your not a long hitter. Both players said they could shoot high 60s twice, but the weather that had been whipping the course could effect the next two rounds. However dispite the weather Jui will master the winds with his long game, and Biggs should get up & down the course easy with his shortgame but his long game may suffer for that!

T4. ------ Debrigo Lanso ------- Round - 68 ------------ Total Score -4

T10. -------- Carlo Dimatraz ------------ Round 75 ------------- Total Score +3

The Opening 9 proved its a beast of course after Lanso dropped into the last ten after two consective double-bogeys & a triple bogey. But Lanso made a excellent return shooting several birdies & an eagle in the back 10 holes. His playing partner Levi Jones had a bad day shooting worse than par quite often. Crowd favourite Greek Carlo Dimatraz severly embarrased the San Haven Players shooting three over par. The front 14 holes he coped with making only one bogey with the rest being par. The 15th long par 5 saw a double-bogey which was the worst score for any hole on his score-card. After a nice swing & fade, Carlo ventured up the fairway, badly hooking a 3 wood into the savanna grass to the right. In an attempt to get the ball out of the thick stuff, he fired a 5 Iron onto the fairway. From there he shot a 7 Iron over the green, came close to returning the chip but double putted the remaining 8 Feet. The Official Representing the San Haven Tour players Freddy Brown said Carlo needs to pull his game up tommorow or risk being knocked out by the cut which would embarress San Haven on the International Tour. Around One Hundred & Ten Million people have turned into the event thanks to International Airing & the number is expected to double as the tour continues. The San Haven Population has the freedom to watch every event of the tour! Meanwhile Lanso needs to stay ahead as well as he only shot a 4 under par. He needs to maintain that ready for the cut.

OCC: Good RP! Now my turn!

Jui & Biggs managed excellent rounds under par dispite a 7 point difference. Biggs go through the day paring every hole except the 17th which he managed a far to easy birdie. The 17th par 3 plays rather short. 90% of the players get par or better & 85% hit the green from the tee. Biggs 9 Ironed onto the green missing the pin by several inches. He went up & tapped it in. Jui used his long game advantages & scored 8 Under par just one off the lead. However he is currently in a tight spot as he as stiff competition behind him. Both players hope to make a better comeback tommorow & make the cut. Jui belives he can grap the lead while bigg believes he can climb high!
Jui managed 6 birdies & an eagle on the 3rd, 5th,6th, 7th,9th, 13th & 18th.

Drew Jacobsen - 69 (-3)

The round started off quite poorly for Jacobsen - he did his best impression of an amateur and sliced his first drive of the tournament into the thick rough to the left of the fairway. His lie was quite poor so he was forced to hit a pitching wedge back onto the fairway and took a double bogey on the hole. From there, he calmed down slightly and was able to par the next eight holes to make the turn at a disappointing two over par.

The back nine started off with a bang - on 10, Jacobsen hit a six iron to the green, then dropped a 15 foot putt for birdie. He proceeded to birdie 11 and 12 before finishing off with birdies on 17 and 18 to card a 69.

In an interview with SSTV Jacobsen said, "This course is amazing - the front nine is some of the hardest pressure golf I have ever played. In a word, I got lucky. My timing was off at the start of my backswing so my swing felt funny. But I'm going to go to the range and hit a bucket of balls now to get it back inline. And just in case my approach shots take a beating tomorrow, I want to spend some time chipping on the practice green!"

With those words, he zealously vacated the premises, leaving a surprised reporter and the 23 year old's sheepish father left staring at each other.

Pete Anders - 72 (E)

Due to some bizarre twist of fate, Anders was paired up with Colonel John Stuart. Anders called his playing partner "Colonel Sanders" the entire round. Every time Colonel Stuart hit a good drive, Anders would say, "You added 7 herbs and spices to that one." It barely qualified as funny the first time, but by the 18th hole most people present, including Anders' caddy, wanted to strangle him. To his credit, Colonel Stuart demonstrated considerable poise and shot a four under 68.

His play from tee to green was quite good today, but his putting let him down once again. He three putted for bogey on three holes (2, 5, 17) and somehow missed a 3 foot birdie putt on 18. In a tense press conference arranged by the network, a reporter from SoulScience Television asked, "How do you plan to improve your putting? By our calculations, with a touch of skill on the greens you could have easily shot a 68 today, which would have put you in a tie for fourth place with Colonel STUART."

Anders shrugged and replied, "Once the kid has gotten the old TV jitters out of his system, we're going to ditch his father and hit the putting green. Until then, I'm going to stay away from the course when I'm not playing."

Drew Jacobsen - 61 - (-11)

Drew Jacobsen's game was firing on all cylinders today as he carded a 61 - the lowest score not only in an NSPGA tour event, but also the lowest round of his entire life. The round started off with a bang, as he rolled a 5 iron to within six inches of the cup on the first hole. From there, he kept attacking and finished the extremely difficult front nine at -4.

The back nine saw Jacobsen elevate his game. He sunk a chip from off the green on 10 for a birdie and then proceeded to birdie six of the remaining eight holes to walk into the clubhouse with a 61 on the round. The gracious young golfer seemed surprised by his score and took time to sign a few autographs on his way to the club house.

After the round, the relieved looking youngster thanked his playing partner, David Danzig, who carded a 69. Then he said, "I feel like I'm in a good position for the weekend, but there are some amazing golfers in this tournament so I will have to put together some great rounds to hold onto a spot in the top five. I hit some putts today and my short game bailed by out a couple of times - it was a great round and I am very happy with how I played."

Taking the time to answer a few more questions, Jacobsen concluded the press conference by saying, "I will always remember today and the warm welcome I got from the fans at this great event. But now I have to go and get back on the range before I start to get stiff."

Pete Anders - 65 - (-7)

The long lost magic was back today as Anders carded a round that he will likely never forget. With the raging 'Colonel Sanders' controversy in the back of his mind, the crafty 50 year old veteran brought out his A-game. Unlike yesterday's round, putts were actually dropping for him.

His experience shone as he played the hazardous front nine at -4. He hit some good putts for birdies. Disaster nearly struck on 8 when he hooked his approach shot into a bunker far from the hole, but he calmly stepped up and hit his sand shot to within six feet, then calmly sunk the putt for his par.

He was solid on the back nine, and finished the round at 65.

Strangely, Anders refused to be interviewed following the round and apparently went back to his hotel room. We are not sure if he injured himself, but we will keep you posted with any developments.

Perhaps a good-bad day for San Haven, as one maintained his spot up with the big guys while another plumpted & missed the cut!

Debrigo Lanso scored a round of 67 and finsihed at nine under par. The back nine tested his long game while the front nine tested his shortgame which could of been better according to Freddy Brown. Brown analysisted his swing & concluded that his back swing is 'out' Brown escorted Lanso to the drive to assist in 'healing the wound'. Lanso said he needs to perform a heap better because he was a hard six shots of the pace & had a 'trio' of players right with him. Lanso hopes to come back & shoot something in the low sixties & put him up the ladder more.
The weekend looks dull but has promise for the nations favourite.

Meanwhile popular Carlo Dimatraz failed to make the cut after shooting a two over par totalling a 5 over par for both rounds. He missed the cut by just one stroke. Freddy Brown said he would advice Carlo to hit the range & return to his normal self. Carlo suffered mental injuries after an accident several weeks ago & hasn't been himself. He is though recieving help. The 31 year old once practised on the range from 6am till 2 pm then play 18 holes to conclude his day. He did that when he wasn't playing an event. But over the past months he hasn't made the cut in any events.

A Course of Conflict, The Sunny Southern Links became locked down as players fought of hard weather for the third round. To shoot low, you can to send the ball low. Only four players played in 60s while others shot 70s & even worse with yesterdays leader falling down the ladder after carding 80.

After the match a tired & weary Lando said his physical side of him may not cope with the final round 7 emotionally he has become stressed & again locked down with the big guys, He is now chasing down SoulScience Drew Jacobsen who climbed nearly the entire leaderboard overnight sending yesterdays leader down.

With the winner of the event to recieve $1,500,000 after the next round Landso said he will if he plays a little better maybe looking at around the $700,000 mark if he succeds.

Lanso may join others if he cards another 60s today. There is currently no record for anyone carding 4 straight rounds in the sixites but there will be & some how a lot will take it.

The 31 year old father of four, said his family & wife was supporting him the whole way & had to thank them & his fans for their support so far. 'The Atmosphere is tops out here' he said in an after-round Interview with International & National Reporters.

He finally made his way back to the range for a hard 4 hours on the range along side other players on top of the leaderboard including the SoulScience Leader. He will haveto perform well to get that mil & a half & start the tour nicly by leading the money list & performance list.

OOC - It doesn't make much sense to rp the 3rd round, so I will just pick it up for the 4th round of the last event.

Drew Jacobsen - 70

The 23 year old phenom started the day up by two strokes and played in the final group with Henry Jui. The obviously nervous youngster had trouble on the first hole and shanked his approach shot into the thick rough off the green then was hard on his chip shot - overshooting the hole by 12 feet. From there he two putted for the bogey. With his lead whittled down to one, the SoulScience golfer settled down and parred the next eight holes to finish the front nine at +1.

As he has done all week, Jacobsen got hot on the back nine. He birded 10 and 11, then parred holes 12 through 16. At 17, he hit a wonderful drive, then managed to hit a seven iron to within six feet of the cup. He sank that putt for a birdie and went to the 18th tee with a lead of one. The gallery gave him a warm ovation on his way up the 18th hole and then erupted when he sank his three foot par putt for the victory.

After the round, an incredibly relieved looking Jacobsen thanked the organizers of the tournament saying, "I can't say enough good things about this course, or the people of Tinusvilia. This was a first class tournament and I can not tell you how incredibly honoured I feel to walk away with the victory."

When asked about his plans for the NSPGA Championship, Jacobsen smiled, "Well first, I would like to publically invite Carlo Dimatraz to join me for some yoga sessions. He has not been the same since his car accident. Not many people know this about me, but I was nearly killed in a car accident when I was 17 years old. I took a nasty blow to the head, but I found that Kundalini yoga helped me get back into playing shape. So, my first plan is to find Carlo and see if I could teach him some basic asanas and breathing techniques. Who knows what they could do for him?"

A SoulScience Television reporter asked him what he felt his chances were of winning the NSPGA Championship. Jacobsen smiled and replied that he had only seen the course on television and that he would be in better position to actually answer that question after have played a few rounds. He went on to say, "But, I have to keep my fundamentals in line. I have to be accurate off the tee, my greens in regulation have to be high, and I have to sink putts."

Pete Anders - 63

At the beginning of this season, Pete Anders was not expected to seriously contend for a tournament. Most people (including Anders himself) felt that his best golf was behind him. Well, today proved that the wiley veteran still has some great golf ahead of him.

He shot the low round of the day, primarily because of a blistering front nine which he navigated at an amazing -6. He had an eagle and four birdies and found himself right in the thick of things. The back nine contained his only major mistake of the day - he three putted on 10 for a bogey. However, he recovered and birdied 11, 12, 13 and 17 on his way to a 63.

Anders finished the tournament tied for 3rd and seemed overjoyed by the finish. During the press conference after his round, he quipped, "Who would have thought that I would have finished third? This course is great, this tournament is great, and I honestly believe that I played one of the best rounds of my life today. Without that foul up on 10, who knows what would have happened? However, I am incredibly happy."

When asked about his plans for the NSPGA Championship, Anders said, "I am going to be spending a lot of time with 'the kid' (meaning Jacobsen) while we prepare for this tournament. He has never experienced the pressure of a major tournament and I know for a fact that winning this tournament will only put a lot more pressure on him. I want to make sure that he stays light and remembers to have fun. I have been playing professional golf for most of my life - there have been ups and there have been downs. However, the one thing I can say about my career is that it has been fun - a whole lot of fun, in fact. This is the greatest 'job' in the world - how many people get to play golf all day, everyday and get paid for it?"

A disappointed loss to Los Mexico after the final round of the first NSPGA Event. Levi Jones only just made the cut in Round two & finished at the bottom carding one over par nearly twenty strokes from the leader. His hopes however for winning a major wont dim, as after a practise rounds on Palms International links went good. He managed to play the course twice scoring a 65 first time & a 68 the second. If he plays like that, his chances of winning are good. David Harren also played the course with him, proving he can 'drive' and his long game is exeptional after a 66 & a 67.

Both players went to the same schools & Tour Schools together & even grew up together in the same street. These two good mates practise heavily both starting their day at 5am with non-stop Practise on the range until 2pm. Then they venture off & play 18 holes then return to the range for another 4 hours. Both players do this 5 days a week then just play a round or two on the weekend & relax.

Jones is known to be the better player, but Harren is known to beat him. Both players will be returning next season. With the tour only beginning, both players have numeriously said they will put as much effort into their games in hope of boosting their nations Sporting Status.

Practice Rounds -

Drew Jacobsen: 73/69

Drew Jacobsen was up on the range at the crack of dawn. His father gossiped with other caddies, attempting to learn more about the course while Drew hit a large bucket of balls. Following the warm up, they went out onto the course and played a round. Drew played the round at a disappointing 1 over par - taking a double bogey on 6, but managing to get a birdie on 9. He parred every other hole.

Following the round, he went back to the clubhouse, did some stretching and deep breathing in the clubhouse, then met Pete Anders for their practice round.

Jacobsen's second round was better - he avoided the problems he had on 6 and managed to play the round in 69 strokes. The round only had one bogey (on 8) and four birdies. After leaving the course, he stopped to talk to a reporter. "This course is definitely a difficult one - it is a major and the rough is cut very veyr thick. Literally, if you miss the fairway, you are toast on the hole - that last round, I got into the hay on 8 and took a bogey on the hole. The greens are deceptively fast - sometimes it feels like putting on a pool table."

After his round with Anders, the two went to the practice green, where they practiced putting for an hour.

Pete Anders: 70

A contrast to the stressed out youngster, Anders slept in and went out for breakfast before meeting Drew in the clubhouse for their practice round at noon. Anders spent the round joking with Drew and trying to lighten the mood. He seemed surprised at his score after adding it all up after the 18th green. He played a very up and down round - carding 4 bogeys, 4 birdies and an eagle on 13.

Drew Jacobsen - 68/70

Up at the crack of dawn again, Jacobsen appeared at the range without his father in tow and hit a few buckets of balls before joining his father on the first tee for his first round of the day. The round was almost flawless - though he was never flashy, he played incredibly solid golf and completed the entire round without a single bogey on his card. Birdies came at 4, 9, 11, and 14.

During the leisurely solo round, Jacobsen took time to walk through the rough - scouting for areas where it was extremely thick. He also did some calculations about tee shot placements with his father.

After the round, he ate lunch with Pete Anders, then the two golfers and their caddies went to the driving range for a slow bucket of balls to warm up for their afternoon round.

The afternoon round wasn't as good for Jacobsen - his accuracy was a bit off on the back nine and he hit two balls into the deep rough - settling for bogey on both. These were balanced off by four birdies - again at 4 and adding 6, 12, and 18 to the list of holes birdied.

After the second round, Jacobsen spoke with SSTV Golf Reporter, Tad Howell. During the interview, he talked about the course almost reverentially, "The Palms is an unbelievably difficult course. The fairways are very narrow - which is a good thing because I'm usually quite accurate. The problem is that I am not long enough for some of the holes. There are three holes on this course that I have to tee off with a driver to have any chance of attacking the green with a club more lofted than a 3-iron. And there are six other holes that I have to use a driver to have any option of using a club more lofted than a 6-iron. With such small greens, exact greens, I want to be able to attack as much as I can with more lofted clubs. So logically, I'll be using my driver a lot - on likely 9 holes. The problem with the driver is that it really magnifies any minute swing imperfections so I could find myself in the rough a bit on these holes unless I am very precise. And I learned today - avoid the rough at all costs - getting any more than three feet off the fairway is an almost guaranteed bogey unless you hit two perfect shots to recover."

After his interview, Jacobsen met his father on the driving range and hit a large bucket of balls with his driver under his father's tutelage.

Pete Anders - 71

After lunch and a stint on the driving range with Drew Jacobsen, Anders played his second practice round on the course. It was another up and down day for Anders, during his afternoon round with Jacobsen he carded 5 birdies and 4 bogeys. While he is still long enough to attack many of these holes, Anders big downfall today was a lack of accuracy off of the tee. He had to pitch back into the fairway on 6 holes and picked up bogeys on four of those.

After the round, Anders was asked for his impressions on the course. He had sat through Jacobsen's long answer and he smiled, nodded and said, "I agree with Drew completely...I have been around a lot and have played on quite a few courses, but the Palms is a crazy course. We were lucky today, the weather was good, but I guarantee that if the wind picks up, or if it starts to rain, this course will see a lot of high 70s. These fairways are unbelievably tight and there is no give around the greens."

Jim Downs: So Fellows how have you accepted this tour so far?
Henry Jui: Well Jim, must say its been a great start for me placing second in the first event on tour taking home $750,000. Its just been magnificent, not playing my best on my first major though.
Danny Biggs: The atmosphere makes me feel great you know, im not playing my best golf, but im adjusting to play greatly on tour. My first event i took home $115,000 but i felt i could of taken a lot more than that. I missed the cut on the NSPGA Championship (Major) & felt that the field i was competing in was just too good for me, i need to work at it & deserve it.
Jim Downs: Thats real great fellows! What do you both see on tour in the future? Like what do you hope to acheive?
Henry Jui: Well as i have said to my fans i hope to finish on the top 5 money list & be in the Top 3 for the events & hopefully come back next season & dominate, but the field can change, so i can only hope for the best, jimmy.
Danny Biggs: Good Question, Jim. I hope to find a great Caddie after the little accident on my second round yesterday, & increase my Reptuation & just keep being myself & you know. But i would like to see my Long Game show itself, that way i could be a better contestant on tout.

At 9:45 this morning, Layton Aykenne arrived at Palms International Links, alone. He walked from his car to get dressed at his locker after which he made his way to the practice tee. It's not an unusual sight, unlike most tour players, Aykenne, even with his caddy, seems always in solitude. "Many people believe that my solitude is a form of mental preparation, but I don't think of it like that at all. It's just who I am, I just happen to be very indpendent, I just don't need a support structure. The motivation to practice, to compete has always been a result of my own choosing ." Without an entourage, mentor, or even any kind of support figure, only the bag of 14 tools slung over his shuolder distinguishes him as a NSPGA Tour player. "Fundamentally, golf is about the indivudal and his own abilites. Only the clubs and the player determine success and failure." As the leader going into the final round of the NSPGA Championship by 1 shot, the 20-year old could become the youngest major champion in the history of the NSPGA and many believe that his silent, self-reliant nature is what will have him hoisting the cup after sunday's round. "He just has what it takes. All the guys out here have got the game, he certainly does too, but his competitive spirit, his drive to win and its all the product of the himself."

Golf. Unlike most sports, golf has retained a place within high society - for a whole variety of reasons, most golfers are those viewed as being upper-class, and with technological improvements coming thick and fast within the sport, it takes riches to keep up.

Colonel John Stuart fits the bill. Born in 1957, his military career, coupled with the wealth and status of his parents, gave him a solid base with which to build his life upon, and with the 1965-1985 period being a relatively peaceful time, Stuart's golfing career took off. Upon his retirement from the Armed Forces - having been awarded the Golden Cross just the year before - he surprised the golfing world by winning the 1987 MPGA Tour, defeated established champion Clarence Underhill by two shots.

So when Stuart chose to participate in the first world-wide PGA Tour, it was not seen as surprising. His superior short game had brought him victories a-plenty, even if his reputation on the world scene was fairly unknown, and his placing on the first round - finishing in a four-way tie for fifth place, with a score of eleven under par - reflected it; the drives may not exactly have been going quite his way, but it was a good opening performance. The second round was not as good - finishing two under par, ninth overall - but Stuart himself has sad that this is down him just finding his feet to start with.

Harren managed three birdies, an eagle & a bogey & scored par on the rest. His accuracy has increased by nearly 50% & has had a great start to the tour! After accepting his cheque of some $750,000 he returned to his home town in Northern Los Mexico to continue his practise routines ready for the Old Havana Open which starts shorlty.

For the Four San Haven Players on Tour, the first round was a night mare even for Lanso & Jones III.
Lanso proved he is a stable guy, showing his skills but it wasn't good enough on the wild links. He birdied the 8th, after a bogey on the 7th two putting the severly sloped green.

He then responded to jacobsens eagle with an eagle himself on the 14th after hitting the green in two then putted out with a 12 footer down hill.

Jones III made four attempts at birdie & made three of them. He managed his day well, making par for the other holes, but even that tamed the beast that once dominated San Haven Tours. He drove well & accurate, but his fine short game failed him badly, bad enough to not have a reach at the lead all day long, round two could prove otherwise. On his third birdie on the 17th, he drove 360 yards, the longest drive in Round One & one of the best drives for the IPGA Tour but still baby compared to a 402 Yard Drive by Drew Jacobsen in the NSPGA Championship.

Crowd Favourites Long & Dimatraz settled for 1 & 3 over par after a rough day. Dimatraz spend a fair amount of his 4 hours in sand while Long spend his around the thick stuff of the greens, due to his inaccuracy.

All Four players feel theres hope for better rounds tommorow after a not so good round today.

No more evidence was brought out, but people blame his alcholic problems on it. Meanwhile the other three are out on the range after being out there for five hours already practising together, waiting for their late afternoon tee offs with Los Mexican & SoulScience Players. The day has turned out rather good for a nice sunny morning, with a very calm if not still wind. Tens of Players are on the range with thousands of Balls out past the 200 Yard Marker, it seems only a small amount of players are shooting short irons, but most are preparing for a Distance & Accuracy day to match the tighten fairways after the greenskeepers efforts at 4am this morning!

Overnight William Jones III, the best performing player from San Haven in the Open has moved up one spot to be tied for second just behind the Leaders. Jones III Shot a round of 69 to move to nine under par after making three straigh birdies on the 9th, 10th & 11th holes.

'I was rather impressed, and the more i play this course, the more i feel comfortable. However the other players from here are not performing their best, but i am fully supporting them as i would like to see a San Haven Player win at our own capitals open. This is the second year that the course has hosted the open, but the first on an International Tour, and its going well so far. This morning i was out on the compact driving range with Drew Jacobsen, an outstanding SoulScience player & he said he is considering returning next season due to his excellent start on tour.

I will be go after a major this year, so that San Haven can boast about it & to put us on the Golfing Map throughout the world. We need at least one major, to show we have got it!'

After a good round, William said he was dropping his 5 wood from his bad to replace it with a brand new Lob Wedge from his major sponsor Ali-Carlton (A top golf brand in San Haven). William signed with Ali-Carlton for a $5.5 Million to play under their name for the entire season. William said he is rather impressed with their equipment & advises others to take it up. Ali-Carlton only sponsors two players on tour the other being Los Mexican Elite Henry Jui who has being player under their name for the past seven years which was when it founded itself.

William hit the range after his round for a two-hour practise with Jui & the Ali-Carlton CEO Jeff Johnson. Both Players hit 2 hours worth then went out together for dinner at the Private Blue Oyster with their wives, or Girlfriend for the 24 year old Jones III, while Jui went with his wive of ten years.

William Hopes to make a good comeback to win his first event on an International Tour with Hundreds of Thousands supporting him. Meanwhile other San Haven players are not playing as good, and are solely embarrasing San Haven.

He had a little trouble on the start of the back nine, but 2 eagles changed that on the 14th & 17th par 4 & par 5. On the short par 4 14th, William drove to within 6 feet of the hole, then nailed the putt for an awesome eagle. He holed out from the bunker on his third shot on the 17th par 5, with a pitching wedge to win the tournament, an excellent feat as that!

Crowd sensation Debrigo Lanso came 5th at ten under shotting a 67 final round, a long 8 shots behind Jones III, another San Haven Player.

Long & Dimatraz were clearly embarrasing San Haven Players & did not want their round 4 reports published.

Officials say the event in Old Havana went so good, it will return next season, with San Haven William Jones III defending it, hoping to grasp a second win at the course & event in his career beginning.

Next event - Toraquan Caribbean-Atlantic Country Club (Glasis, Toraquay)/Toraquan Colonial Classic.

The Internationally reknown course will hold its first event on Tour, and will host the entire field for the first two rounds, with the cut being very challenging at 3 over par. The course has a tropical design & its very challenging both with the layout & weather. Winds as high as 26mph can hit the course. As what William Jones III did at the Old Havana Open, Toraquan players Danny Biggs & Henry Jui will try as much as possible to defend their nations event from being taking by an International Player. Both players are yet to grab a win on the NSPGA!

After a wind-torn practise Round with the rest of the San Haven Players (4 Player Practise Round) William Jones III rested after possibly damaging his ankle. Carlo Dimatraz spoke to the Media that reported the Practise Round & said 'Jones III pulled the round of well shooting a 67, leading all us fellows but he began hobbling around from the 17th. William however hopes tommorows round one won't miss him as he is geared up for a second win which would put him on top of the ladder. He is also practising hard ready for the next major on the wicked St. Marks Course is Joehio, Qazox.

Meanwhile Ali-Carlton is in talks with David Harren from Los Mexico in hopes to gain a third player on tour by sponsoring him. They are offering Harren a mere $2.55 Million compared to William Jones III's Pay of $5.5 Million. However Harren is only young & has great potential but needs experience and it would be a shame to double his offer. Ali-Carlton is competing hard against sponsors like Red Tree & El'Grena which are huge brands mainly in Toraquay & Los Mexico but has gained the spotlight in San Haven & other regional countries.

Meanwhile Ali-Carlton is in talks with David Harren from Los Mexico in hopes to gain a third player on tour by sponsoring him. They are offering Harren a mere $2.55 Million compared to William Jones III's Pay of $5.5 Million.

Overnight in Toraquay, Ali-Carlton has signed on David Harren for a total of $2.65 for the rest of the season before a seasonal review to see whether they will continue with him next season.

David Harren finished a tight round at four under par with a 68, while Levi Jones was tight for a mere 5th at two under par with a nicely settled 70. Both players are contesting very hard to establish a win for Los Mexico not yet succedding....

For the first time since the start of the NSPGA, a Carlo Dimatraz is 'on top' at four under par carding a 68 with two birdies & an eagle on the 11th, 14th & 18th.

Antonio Long not at his best, but his tie with Carlo has shown some major improvements for his game, a William Jones III finished at two under 70 for a tied fifth while Young Player Debrigo Lanso took home a disappointing two over 74.

With Ali-Carlton sealing its third player, it now tops the NSPGA in Popularity but needs more players to be the 'most populated player' brand. Plans to take Carlo Dimatraz, Levi Jones & Other Promising players are underway, but no direct communication is yet to be made. Since signing on the third player recently, daily sales Internationally have gained an extra 9%, but that will come & go....

OCC: Ok, its finally working!!!

Henry Jui, tied for fouth felt the second round jitters & as there were several large moves by other players, Jui knew he could not move up so he decided to remain event ready for a big gap tommorow he can slip through. He bogeyed the 5th after a three putt on the 'valley' green. He then worked off his mistake with a easy birdie on the 8th par 5. 'After i drove 270 Yards with a slight draw, I was in the position for a nice mid-iron shot but the wind said other wise. I drove a very, very straight 3 Wood to within 6 feet of the nasty pin, but i felt pressure & has to two putt for a birdie instead of eagle. I have a late tee time tommorow with David Harren so i can hit the range prior to the 3rd Round. I am only three shots off the lead & not boasting or anything but i am known to 'bounce' back very, very hard & strong.' He said shortly after finishing the 18th. Commantators & Other Key Officials said its so very true & will most likely shoot something in the mid to high 60’s for a great comeback, but the pressure may affect a possible win in the 4th Round, so people betting should not try to hard for him in the 4th.

In an awkward position is Danny Biggs who in his early days dominated the Toraquan Champions Tour for nearly 11 years has not really seen ‘happy days’ on the NSPGA yet. Officials say due to his age, he has a major disadvantage but there are half a dozen others that are older than him (Biggs is 43) & have found a lot more results.’ Todays Tours are a lot more difficult than the past’ & playing with International Players with exceptional talent is something I have to adjust too. I have not won or placed in the top 10 since 2001 when I won my last major in Casino Rock, but somehow I still managed to make some $3,535,352 in the past 5 years & a playing card until 2009. If I comeback next season, I reckon it will be a big turn around although I may retire this year from International Tours & play the Champions Tour back home followed by the Seniors tour a few years later.
Danny Biggs sits near the bottom at one over par, 8 shots back & since 2001 he has not made any good comebacks besides the Toraquan Masters in 2002, where he was tied for 88th at 1 under on the final round & finished at 10 under, at 11th just six strokes back.

With David Harren now sealed an a lethal weapon for Ali-Carlton Pty. Harrens future looks more decided than ever. The Young Player Harren said 'Well, Its very well for me, now that i am with Ali-Carlton. They have be covered & have great expectations this season. I am in talks with them for them to consider signing me on for another few seasons, although i may sit next season of the NSPGA out to play the Los Mexican Players Tour then return after, its up to me, i suppose coz ali-carlton will back me wherever i go i suppose'. David is expected to perform very highly in the next two rounds of the Toraquan Colonial Classic but has some serious contesters trailing him.

Meanwhile Levi Jones, a bidding Player on Tour that suddenly has gained the spotlight since joining the NSPGA Tour has turned Ali-Carlton down for a proposed $1.65 Million & accepted El'Grena's $2.8 Million after switching from Red Tree. Levi Jones said Red Tree signed him on late last year for only $410,000 but added more for a total of $1.05 if he played on the NSPGA Tour this season. But the Invincible Levi Jones kept the dough for himself only after a few events & has switched El'Grena for more than double what he got paid just to play the rest of the season with El'Grena. El'Grena is also in talks with Harren to see if he would play next season for a large sum of $3.4 Million. The now huge company is also in talks with Crowd-Favourite Carlo Dimatatraz to see if he would play the rest of the season for $2.6 Million although Ali-Carlton is offering $2.85 Million & could go up higher, dispite his failure on tour so far....

Another one bites the dust: -
Antonio Long finally made National headlines as the first time on the NSPGA he actually achieved something. A nail-bitting round trailing Mike Loyke the eventual winner, made him the hot-shot realise he can go extremly well if he puts his mind to it. Although there was a 4 stroke differenece between them, he performed very well & earnt $750,000 & puts him over the million dollar mark for the season, only having played in less than half a dozen events.

Officials have claimed he will perform well, but will not win an event, but there is speculations of a possible major for him. Antonio long believes he will return next season which may very well be his 'peak'

In other news William Jones III, a new face on tour has broken his own record of 64 replacing it with a 63 after a 'very big' jump on the ladder finishing at Tied for sixth. Jones III was disapponited but he knows Toraquan Courses are very difficult, but he walked away with $190,000 adding to his already earnt money putting him around the million & a half mark.

Carlo Dimatraz finally earnt some dough taking home his $190,000 while Debrigo Lanso finished dead last (Forgot to add him) with a small $50,000.
Dimatraz & Lanso are the only San Haven Players that are yet to break the half a million dollar mark.

Although all are looking for a major, Jones III & Antonio Long believe they 'have' what it takes & know the extremes to taking after a major. The entire field will chase after a first-prize $1,750,000 when the next event, the second major of the season begins...

The Toraquan Colonial Classic was considered a huge success, although it is never clearly going to be anything bigger than a small 'on the side' event.

With several Events yet to be played on Toraquan Soil, the Toraquan PGA Committe have high hopes & are hopefully returning next season with a big major event for the NSPGA.

Meanwhile Jui has signed on with Ali-Carlton for $3,100,000 while Biggs took on Red Tree & nabbed their $2,900,000!

Jones III Takes down the course with spectacular Play:
By Reporter James Harrington

http://www.herald-mail.com/albums/golfseptember262005/Adam_Scott.sized.jpg

A Completly relaxed Jones III took down the course, ripping it up so hard he is looking at a possible major win...
He came back after a one over par round yesterday to be tied at fourth at seven under, shooting a 65. He shot 5 birdies & an eagle on holes 2,3,4,6,9 & 17. The course is very mean, but they players seem to cope with most of it. Layton Akyenne got a good start & finish in his round to be two strokes ahead of Drew Jacobsen, the 'Phil Mickleson or Ernie Els' of the NSPGA.

Finally a Major Victory for San Haven!!!
Report by James Harrington. Based in Old Havana

1.William Jones III 68 -13* (Won 5th hole of Playoff)

The second major of the NSPGA, The Joehio Open on the Wicked St. Marks Course was won after a narrow playoff by San Haven William Jones III. Sir Jimmy Lee lost on the 5th hole after a violent hook into the wind which threw in into the thick rough some 400 yards from the green on the driveable par 4
5th. Dispite winds up to 20mph, Jones III went for the green from the tee, shooting low under the wind for a rather short drive for his talent & reputation only a mere 220 Yards. He pitched a 100 yards perfect, so perfect the crowd in the gallery knew he had the major sealed...
He then was faced with a difficult 10 footer downhill, but took it for birdie, while Jimmy Lee was forced to make a double bogey after taking three shots to get out of the nasty stuff on the right of the fairway.

William Jones III know leads with Drew Jacobsen after both their dominance & play, but Jacobsen is yet to hit a second win!!!

After San Haven finally gained its spotlight in the NSPGA winning its first major by San Haven New No.1 William Jones III, the question lurks 'what is the future for San Haven on the NSPGA?'

San Haven has played in around 5 or 6 events & taken two, but can they keep taking more. Lanso, Dimatraz & other SH Players are yet to experience a win, especially a major, but Jones III has....

All 4 players from San Haven Lanso, Jones III, Dimatraz & Long took home the blues after a devastating round at Doauo, one of the tougest courses in San Haven on the NSPGA.

Lanso took a two over par 74 after playing the trecherous 17th Par 4 while Long took home a One Under 71 following his birdie on the par 3 1st. Dimatraz was by far the worst taking home a 80 at 8 over par.
But Young Tour sensation William Jones III seemed to be in the right direction of a 66 at 6 under par for his practise round. Jones III played the course many times while playing for his High School, even became a member for a period of 5 years but dropped it when he turned 22 to take on more courses in life...

Drew Jacobsen & Layton Aykenne seemed in the 'position' after both scoring their 65s,a remarkable feat on the course. Jacobsen said the course is just waiting to be cracked but come Rounds 3 & 4, it will be more than tamed...

Meanwhile Ali-Carlton has paid $450,000 for Appearence Fees for Henry Jui after he refused, but later accepted the money & will play. Jui shot 5 under 67...

Debrigo Lanso Annouces his retirement!

Lanso, a NSPGA Tour player who has yet to encounter any success said he will retire from Professional golf to become a Commentator on the San Haven Seniors Tour...

Lanso who has only won around $50,000 in the events he has made the cut, announced it just after his wedding anniversary. Lanso, 56 believes the NSPGA was never for him & decided he will retire & become a full-time commentator on the Seniors tour.

Dimatraz, Long & Jones III all have benfited from the 'Once Invisible Lanso'. He was Longs mentor in his earlier days, he is Dimatraz Swing Coach (Which will change) & was a huge inspiration to Jones III especially in his early teens.

All are sadened by Lanso's plan to retire & wish him well. Lanso was a big star on the San Haven Tour & the Caribbean Tour in the 70s & 80s winning 9 majors & 51 events in his 17 year 'prime peak'.

Lanso will continue to inspire many. Other great things he has done is designing several courses around the world with more to come. In his last 12 years or so Debrigo has made around $120 Million designing multi-million dollar courses, clubs & links.

Overnight in Old Havana, the National PGA officially said that San Haven would play next season but with different players.

William Jones III, Carlo Dimatraz & Antonio Long are comback for sure, but Debrigo Lanso who is retiring at the end of the current season will be replaced by Tour Rookie James Mosely. Mosely is an exceptional young player around Jones III age who in fact grew up in the same street as Jones III.

Mosely only turned professional 11 months ago & joined the San Haven National Tour & has already won 4 of his 17 events & taken some $672,236

Jones III hopes to comeback after his domiance this season to win more majors & is expecting to go well at the Blue Bay Classic thats starts on Monday.

The Caribbean Americano Vs Internationals Cup (Yellow Desert Links, Palm Springs - San Haven):

The NSPGA Committee finally added the final event that needed to be put on the ladder. The International Cup - Yellow Desert Links, Palm Springs - San Haven! No more events can be added for the current season, so please wait at least 6 weeks until season II!

The International Cup is to be held at Yellow Desert Links in Palm Spings, San Haven. There will be two teams of six players each playing against each other in various styles of play over several days. The first team will consist of 6 players from Toraquay, Los Mexico & San Haven while SoS will captain & choose their six from the remaining nations.

Antonio Long is to captain the Caribbean Americano Side who will take on the Internationals captained by an SoS player.

The Yellow Desert Links is set out in the middile of the desert, with many bunkers & long holes (Think Sun City, Africa - South i think). The course's diffuculty is 8.8/10 one of the most difficult course on tour.

San Haven is yet to release their team players & profiles, but must do it before the 18th June. The event takes place sometime next month, most likly early! If all goes well the event may play again next season, with hopefully the CA Team defending it!!! :)

OCC: Cool, can i sent both of my two players?

Plans for the The Caribbean Americano Vs Internationals Cup!!
In response to the event added, the Toraquan Association will sent both players who are yet to achieve success on tour. Danny Biggs a lethal player from within 125 yards, will play on the course especially since it is known as bunker world, his short game will master the bunkers.

Henry Jui more of a long hitter & fairway man will be very dangerous with his top stats - Accuracy & Distance, a must for the Links that is known to be long epecially the par 5s that take at least three shots to get the green instead of the normal two.

As for the money, every player choosen recieves $250,000 (Can we have this? I just added it for RP! Hope you don't mind!?!) & the chance to gain lots of International attention.

Hundreds of Organisations are expected to show & support the event with their coverage & anayalis. Over $200 Million will be spend world-wide just broadcasting the event! It will be big, but its name of the event, is a little 'out' so a better name for next season will hopefully exist!

OCC: Sure can & two from LM & two from me thats six!

Yeah ok $250,000 each plus each player on the winning team gets an additional $250,000. So $500,000 for winners & $250,000 for losers! :) No offense!

I will sent Antonio Long (Captain) & William Jones III, so now we only need the Los Mexican Players!

Thanks!

OCC: I need to edit the events title i put the wrong one down this is the CPC at Marlin Reef! Sorry!

William Jones III shot furthur up the leaderboard with a stunning, yet easy 63 on the Marlin Reef Course. His round included eagles on the 2nd & 13th & 6 birdies 3,4,5 & 10,12 & 15th but a bogey on the 17th. After his 63, the Media interviewed him in the clubhouse & asked what he thinks of the course, he replied 'well for a major championship the course seems very easy, but there are still people struggling out there, but our scores can easily change if the predicted rain & thunderstorms come in over the next few days.

Just two strokes back in 3rd place is Antonio Long at 9 under after carding a difficult 65. Antonio Long made two bogeys & 7 pars on the front nine, but then after a birdie (a near ace) on the par 3 tenth, he was on fire. He birdied the 10,11,12,13,15, & eagled the 17th & 14th. But all but one of those shots was a struggle as his legs were throbbing. Antonio Long is due to go into Hospital in coming days with injuries to his leg & may miss several events.

Tied for seventh is Carlo Dimatraz & legendary Debrigo Lanso at 3 under. Carlo double bogeyed the 2nd par 5 but made it up on the easy, open back nine with three birdies on the 10th, 13th & 18th. Carlo later interviewed said he could of down much better & does not know how people are out there with 12 under pars & numbers like that, but he does know it is an easy course with the clubs lowest recored round of 61. He believes William Jones III & other leaders will strive for a 60...

The Famous Legend D. Lanso stayed at level par 72 remaining at 3 under for tied for seventh. His game was not all pars. He bogeyed the 1st,3rd,5th & 11th, but eagled the 13th & birdied the 15th & 16th to stay even for the day.

The Marlin Reef Course is known to be easy as mentioned has very few bunkers & water hazards. The par 72 has a hard, tight yet characterised front nine & an easy, back nine which is very open - fairways are wide greens less protected & rough not so thick. This would tell why there were tens of birdies & over a 20 eagles made for the day. Drew Jacobsen was the best at eagles making 4 of them on the 2nd, 5th,13th & 17th but made a bogey on the final 18th.

The infamous & one of the hardest, possibly the hardest course on the current NSPGA tour. With over 90 bunkers & 11 water hazards, stradegy will be the only way to play & win with the exception of well executed shots.

After a great day & round 3, William Jones III made a dramatic comeback winning the 23rd hole of playoff against Michelle Bee.

After 2 eagles on the 2nd & 16th & three birdies on the 3rd,9th & 10th with a bogey on the 18th, Jones III tied at twenty under. He then went into playoff thinking negative but came out victorious on the 5th par 4. Jones nearly drove the green landing 20 yards up front on the short par 4 while Michelle Bee drew the ball to much to land in rough left of the hole. She then took two strokes to reach the green then three-putted for a 6 while Jones III took a 3 after his pitch landed within 6 feet of the pin.

The win was his 3rd so far on tour this season & his second straight major. He looks set to perform well in future events. He now leads the tour with most wins & most money!

San Haven Trio Kicking up some Dust but with costs:

World Number One William Jones III from southern San Haven was very disappointed after carding a 77 at 5 over par, 9 strokes back behind the lead. His round included an eagle & birdie on the 2nd & 10th with bogeys on the 1st,4th,5th,7th,8th,11th,13th & 17th. The worst aspect of Jones III game was his short game. He hit all but one fairway all day long, but missed 13 of 18 greens some by just a little some were just way off line. The par 3 4th saw a birdie oppurtunity from 4 feet but he 3 putted.

Jones III said this course is which other courses should play like. Offering blokes like me a challenge, but i just didn't perform as well.
The best shot of the day from Jones III was holing out a 3 iron from 208 yards on the 12th par 4, sickening only for par though.

Antonio Long & Debrigo Lanso paired together with the SoulScience Players had a late tee off at 1:30pm. Both players shot 68s to be tied together at 4 under par for the first round. Antonio Long made 5 birdies & a bogey on the 1st,3rd,4th,11th,14th & 18th. Antonio lead the players with the best accuracy from approach shots. On the 18th par 4, after a nail-bitting drive, Long went for a fade with a 7 Iron but the shot went bad landing 30 feet away. Long made the putt, which was the best putt all day on the course.

Old man Debrigo Lanso has a round of ups & downs with an eagle & 5 birdies but a double bogey & bogey on the par 3 10th & par 5 17th. Lanso, in his older years these days still play wonderfully, which will most likly see him perform good on next years San Haven Seniors tour. The 53 year old said his only hopes this season is to win a major championship, which he could hold for the rest of his life. Lanso a star player in the 70s & 80s has won 52 events mainly on the San Haven Tour including 5 majors, a feat that William Jones III is yet to break on the home ground events. Jones III has won 4 majors back home, 3 which came within 6 months of each other.

Biggs & Jui preparing for frontal assualt at Titawon!

Two players, both Toraquan said after the first round that they were gearing up for a frontal assualt on the titawon course so that Toraquay will finally gain some wins & top performances to remove the embarrasment they have caused to Toraquan Fans & People.

Henry Jui finished with a 4 under par 68 for his first round after consective birdies on the 11th,12th,13th,14th & 17th with a bogey on the final 18th par 4. Jui looks set to be a major contestant for the lead as the second round of the event continues tommorow.

The 18th par 4 saw Henry fire a draw shot from the nasty tee position which finished in thick rough 10 yards to the right of the fairway some 280 yards up. He then attempted to pitch back onto the fairway after he found he could not get a gap through the trees. He failed & attempted again chipping back onto the fairway. He then took a Loft Wedge to the green where he holed out from 18 feet. It was a great hole out on the wicked greens according to Frank Spencer the Head of the NSPGA Tour. Spencer attends as much events as possible & watches performances to see where he can repair or make difficult the next round. Spencer said tommorows pin locations will be the most difficult for the entire event. It will also see a lot of people missing the cut or bordering it.

Meanwhile at 4 over par Danny Biggs took a first round 76 after 6 bogeys & two birdies on the 5th,7th,8th,9th,10th,11th,15th & 18th.
The Titawon Course is one of the three courses on this seasons tour with a course difficulty higer than 8.4/10. Dispite good conditions Biggs tinkered with the course & believes he can survive the cut tommorow at 5 over. He believes that the winner of the event will finish with about a 7 under. The course is extermelly difficult & demands accurate yet well executed shots from tee to green.

Jui was all but accurate on the course although he did nail several putts including a 40 footer & two 30 footers. Jui has a remarkable short game, one of the best on tour according to International Golf Digest & Caribbean Americano Golf World.

Both Jui & Biggs have officially said that they will return next season which may very well see a good dose of Toraquan Assualts on the tours courses & hopefully some major championships....

Antonio Long world number 5 showed yet again he was capable of placing himself within the top 4. With over $4,000,000 in winnings he future looks very well. Long shot a 71 after two birdies on the 4th & 7th & a bogey on the 16th.

Meanwhile World Number One William Jones III perhaps wasnt at his best after a one-under par 71 for the final round. He shot only one round better than even & that was todays final round. Meanwhile the round left his world ranking in jeoparady after a major shift on the ladder. He needs to place within the top 5 for the next two events otherwise his ranking will be lowered and players like Biggs, Loyke & Jacobsen will snatch it.

Carlo Dimatraz, once a popular player on the NSPGA Tour just a few events ago left titawon with a 67 staying at Even Par for the event. He is the only player from San Haven that is yet to pass the $2,750,000 mark.

Bogey costs Jones the Titawon Classic....

Levi Jones left Titawon on flight 101 from Titawon after a costly boegy on the 18th cost him a loss. A par would of seen a playoff between Jones & Biggs, but it was not meant to be. Jones finished his final round at 6 under par after a very stable day only one bogey that being on the 18th.

Jones later said after the round the course didnt beat me today but Danny Biggs did. He just came out of nowhere shooting a course record of 60, at twelve under. He remained at the bottom of the table until today. Well i will head back home for two days before getting ready for the next event on tour. This course (Titawon) is what many courses should be like on tour even for majors, the course needed accuracy but a bad shot was still very playable & those greens running very fast were a great contest. Bunkering throughout the course wasnt very severe but still smart play avoids the shallow bunkers.

David Harren, 3 times major winner in Los Mexico & World Number no. 8 left empty handed if $78,500 is what would class as so. Although at the very bottom of the money list, Harren is using all winnings to not only boast his own carrer but to develop his own course development company & encourage women & junior golf throughout the Caribbean Americano Region.

Tied for tenth at one under par for the final round, Harrens world ranking was also left in doubt like the San Haven World Numer 1, the famous William Jones III. After a unsteady round consisting of 4 bogeys & 4 birdies, harren posted a 72. Harren also left on the 101 flight will practise his long game ready for a lethal yet easy going course in Toraquay.

Harren, former tour pro on the Los Mexican Professional tour has won to date some 21 events & $8,326,925. He will continue to seek a win, even better a major winner. His earnings this season is only around $1,800,000 compared to WJIII who has earnt at least $7,500,000 & continuing....

Danny biggs finally broke through at Titawon for a second season win & a first prize of NS$900,000. After shooting a miricule 60, 12 under par for the final round, it was announced that he broke the club record of 61.

Biggs day begin on the 1st par with an eagle holing out a 108 yard Pitch from the fairway & he played up to the 10th under par. The back nine, perhaps more challenging slowed him down. He pared the entire back nine except for two bogeys & two birdies & an eagle on the 11th,15th,16th,17th & 18th.
The greens seem to be affected by the hot dry weather of the final round, he had 4 attempts of birdies, nailed two of them & 2 attempts of eagles but only made one. In his entire round he did not shoot bogeys or anything over par.

However on the 15th, after a crooked pitch he was faced with a 50 footer putt for birdie missed by miles & had a 30 footer back to the hole with around 1.2 metres break. He nailed it for a stunning par.

Biggs now joins a better world ranking & is now in the top 5 for the money list.

Henry Jui trailed the leaders for a short 5 holes but lost the lead & fell back & carded a final round 74 to be at 8 under par. Jui double bogeyed the 4th & 7th, bogeyd the 9th but made a dramatic comeback from his mistakes on the back nine carding 5 eagles on the last 7 holes, the best being the 17th where he holed out 40 yards away from a deep bunker for birdie.

Henry Jui has announced his new goals this season is to finish the season with the best possible world ranking he can get, while Biggs wants to finish out with a major & on top of the money list.....

Jones III back from devastating loss as a major force in Toraquay:

After playing some very bad golf recently, William Jones III has announced he will be a major contestant at Mount-View after shooting two practise rounds of 67 & 69. Mount-View is rather easy, but still offers the greatest players in the world a challenge especially on the tighter back nine.

The three time winner & two time major winner played alongside Drew Jacobsen for both practise rounds who shot a 65 & 71. Antonio Long shot 70 & 71 while Carlo Dimatraz shot a 69 & 73. It still seems the course, relativly easy is offering players a great challenge some shooting in the high 60s while others shooting low to mid 70s.

Within 3 strokes of the lead lies Carlo Dimatraz after 6 biridies & a double bogey. After sinking a 10 footer for birdie on the second par 5, the large crowds gatherered knew that Dimatraz would pose as a threat to other players in the lead. It so happened, Cochcroft & Yellowstone had their share of the lead for several holes before loosing it on an ugly back nine.

William Jones III shot a 70 to take forth at two under while lanso shot a 73 & Antonio Long shot 84 at 12 over, it is known there is little chance he will make the cut tommorow, which will be 3 over par.

In the hunting, but still distant:
Report by Felix Jones Snr.

After a wind-torn first round, both Jui & Biggs were left with scores that the average golfer could beat regulary at their home course. After a short hour at the 19th hole, both players attended the press conference, but made their time short in which they both went to the range, which was by now very crowded. Jui spent 4 hours before calling it a day, mostly on his short game, while biggs went well into the night spending 7 1/2 hours on all aspects on his game ready to make the cut tommorow.

Henry Jui paired with Mike Loyke began his first round at 11am Local Time finishing up early late afternoon. Loyke was on a roll after a 5 under par round while up ahead in the group in front Los Mexican Levi Jones shot a 7 under. Henry Jui is 4 years older than Levi Jones, but in Jui's younger years mainly as an amatuar, Jones looked up to him. Jui had a day of ups & downs firing an eagle & four birides but 8 bogeys to finish two over with a 74.

Danny Biggs who teed of at the first light of dawn with Debrigo Lanso & David Harren clearly has an unfortunate day after 6 bogeys & a birdie with a 77, five over par. Biggs who has played Mount-View on a number of occasions just wasn't prepared for the course, unlike William Jones III who spend 3 rounds before teeing off for the practise rounds, all geared up.
Biggs who missed 70% of GIRs & Fairways did have some luck though, perhaps a little talent. Danny nailed three putts from outside of 20 feet of his attempted 4, but those small 3 footers kept bugging him especially after three-putting from 4 feet on the par 5 17th....

SoS Invitational Report:
The entire 4 San Haven Players are in the top 5 for the second round at the SoS Invitational. A good fine & Sunny day showed the players that the Weather does & will help scores.

Antonio Long who is in the lead at 6 under carded a 67 after 4 birdies, eagle & bogey. Long hit 90% of the fairways, but only 60% of the greens yet walked to the 19th hole with a share of the lead ready for the third round.

Debrigo Lanso in his last weeks of his professional career had a nice round of 66 at 4 unde par taking the third position for himself into round three. 6 Birdies & 12 Pars was in his reach & he took them. Lanso hit the practise green to work on those 'putts' after several birdie attempts were missed from within 3 feet.

Wolrd Number William Jones III is up there just a few strokes back after carding a 68. His round included an eagle, three birdies & a bogey made from 22 feet on the par 5 13th. Jones III looks set for a great round tommorow & hopefully a go at the lead.

The most disappointing round from the San Haven players was that of Carlo Dimatraz after he signed for a 74 at the end of his round just after lunch. His round included three bogeys, three birdies & a double bogey on the par 4 18th. Dimatraz hasn't played '5 star' golf, since his grandmother died at the ripeful age of 91. Although she was not a mentor for Carlo's game, she raised him since he was 6, after his mother died in an accident involving a semi-trailer.

Greetings organizers and competitors....

There has been great speculation over the last few months about my nation's complete silence. Our two gifted golfers - Drew Jacobsen and Pete Anders - have refused to speak with media or answer any questions. And no SoulScience reporters have been covering the events.

My brother who once helmed SSTV was involved in a plot against my rule and has been removed from his position. While the investigation was going on, I felt it most prudent to shut down all contact with the outside world. Now that the crisis has been averted, our full media services are back up and running.

Thank you for coming to Orwell and playing golf in our most beautiful of natural settings.

It has been a trying few weeks for Drew Jacobsen.

His last place finish at the Titawon Classic brought him great shame and his game has not recovered for this week's Soul of Science Invitational. The hometown hero disappointed his fans in both the first and second round.

In an interview with S.S.T.V. reporter Mike Smith, Jacobsen said, "My putting has been shot these last few weeks, and my long game hasn't helped me out at all. I have been working my butt off on the range and the practice greens but nothing seems to take. Maybe I should find a new coach?"

When asked to comment, his father/coach/caddy refused to speak with S.S.T.V.

A Sunny Saturday has began with the first of the players Jones III, Anders, Jacobsen, Dimatraz & Danzig are already on the course with players just about to tee off.

San Haven Tour Representatives & Officials welcomed a cheery SoulScience media after their period of Silence, with SoulScience saying that they believe their own can win on the very difficult course. There are roughly 20 players, the world's best chasing down a first prize of $1,750,000.

Interviews with the San Haven Players suggest a possible San Haven Win, a major win, but the SoulScience players on the home ground are doing extremelly well to block them out. For the first time this season, all four players from San Haven are in the top 5, quite a feat to San Haven who are new to the grounds of International Golf.

Antonio Long met briefly with the media inside the conference centre to say these very words 'Listen folks, i must go & continue my practise, i can not afford to loose the lead, i want to finish this tour right up there on all the lists, so please no questions, but i will say My Accuracy is very off i hit what? Something like 8 Fairway, although my Short Game got me the lead'
Antonio sits at six under par tied for the lead. Fellow Debrigo Lanso is just two strokes back after his previous birdie-birdie-eagle-birdie-birdie round yesterday with no bogeys, an excellent round for Lanso as he enteres his third last professional Event, before he retires to take up Course Design around San Haven.

World Number One William Jones III is 3 strokes back from the lead after his ups & downs round yesterday which he took 3 bogeys, 5 birdies & an eagle. Jones III leads with most fairways hit since Round One hitting 32 of the 36 fairways.

The Worst performing San Haven Tour Player is Carlo Dimatraz, fresh from his operation on his quads. He is 5 strokes back after a pure, yet shocking game yesterday. Carlo finished with a 74. Carlo pared everyhole until the 17th par 5which he took a devastating 9 after six putting from 50 feet. He then shaved off some of that aceing the par 3 18th, which put him back to a 74 for the day.

A cheerful William Jones III went out at the SoulScience Invitational in the fourth round to get the best postion available.
He needed a Top 3 finish to save his World Ranking (1st) from being taken by SoulScience Player Drew Jacobsen, the World Number 2. Both players paired together finished in the top 3, in fact both tied for second place.

Jones III shot three birdies & a double bogey to finish with an easy 71 at ten under for the championship. Drew Jacobsen however had more fuel than ever after his 7 under round at 65 finishing the day at ten under tied with Jones III. If Jones III had not of positioned himself in the top 3 & Jacobsen had, Jacobsen would of taken the World Number One victory.

William Jones III looks set to finish the season & whats left of it, very hard indeed. The Whitsundays Cup & the NSPGA Masters are the remaining events for the NSPGA 1.

Unless Drew Jacobsen can gather a Win or two top 3s, Jones III will finish up with an official NSPGA world ranking. Jones III has been World number One for the past 13 weeks, the NSPGA 1 has only be running for 15 weeks. His feat will go into the NSPGA Records, one that is yet to be broken, although there are at least a dozen or so players so far registered into the NSPGA II that have a good chance of getting him.

Jones III has so far taken NS$8,200,000 (Estimate) home after he added NS$1,100,000 from his second place at SoulScience. Jacobsen is at least NS$1,750,000 behind him, but has a good chance of taking him over in these last days of the NSPGA 1.

'The Cup' is a 4 round Team (4 Players) stroke-play at Whitsundays. To win, your team must post the lowest possible scores. eg. DJ +1, SY -4, LJ E & GB -1, total score = -4. This is done for four rounds.

Team 1 (SoulScience, Prolestan, Los Mexico & New-Lexington)
Captain: Drew Jacobsen
Player 1: Susan Yellowstone
Player 2: Levi Jones
Player 3: Grant Bouknight

Team 1 consists of Jacobsen, Yellowstone, Jones & Bouknight. They have Bouknight & Yellowstone who are very lethal players from within 120 yards, while Jacobsen & Jones are very consisten ball strikers. A Great combiniation for Team 1.

Team 2 (Toraquay, Bernardus, San Haven & MeusDomus)
Captain: William Jones III
Player 1: Tremaine Wright
Player 2: Mike Lokye
Player 3: Danny Biggs

Tean 2 consists of Jones III, Wright, Loyke & Biggs. Jones III & Loyke are great ball-strikers & very accurate & consistent while Biggs & Wright are a great partners with there better than best putting, scrambling & bounce-backs a sure challenge to Drew Jacobsen's Team.

Jones selected for 'The Cup' to play Jones III's Gang...:
Levi Jones from Los Mexico has been selected to play on Drew Jacobsen's team due to his Consistent Ball-Striking. Both teams were selected & made even as much as possible although Jones III's team has the advantage of Top Talent, but Jacobsen's Team has the advantage of bounce-backs (Jacobsen) & the best performing players under pressure (Bouknight, Yellowstone).

The Cup will take place at Whitsunday's, a very difficult course with a 9.8/10 something that is just not possible to achieve something better than about 3 under par. (Think Winged Foot, NY - US Open 2006). 'A Very Tough, yet great looking course. Its not the usual driver & wedge to the course's par 4s. Its usually Driver, Mid Iron. The greens are very wicked & fast with the meanist pin positions in all of golf. I believe the winning team might get 4 under par if they are lucky. We are lucky that we do not have 'a cut' because if there was i would be struggling to make it, hopefully we will win.

This is a different sort of play, but it sounds very good. Well i am teamed with the World Number One William Jones III & his team. Sounds good. But the opposing team has just as good as players as our.

San Haven - I will do a heap of RP for the Whitsunays Cup & The Cup since its near the end of the season.....

OCC: The NSPGA 1 Season has finally finished & it was a great success, now onto the NSPGA II, which starts this week...

Following his teams loss at Whitsundays, William Jones III came back hard, but not as hard as it could of been to win the NSGA Masters, the final event of the first season of the NSPGA.

Round One saw a magnificent array of shots including a chip in from a greenside bunker, holing out with a 4 Iron from the fairway - 182 Yards from the green, a 40 footer & 28 footer putts. Another excellent shot was on the par 5 13th with a 318 yard fade from the tee, he finished with a 4 footer eagle.

Round two was more difficult for him, after a round of 71 following a bogey on the second par 4 & an eagle again on the 13th (Jones III eagled the 13th all four times). Looking at a 5th win in the third round, Jones III did some catching with three birdies & a bogey..

Jones III was a very lucky man indeed, after forcing a playoff following his 12 footer par on the 18th. He then went into late afternoon - darkness with a 9 hole playoff with Jason Cochcroft, a tour pro that has yet to see anything better than a runner-up finish.

Jason finished the 9th hole with a bogey 5, while Jones III brough a second shot pitch to within 6 feet, although Jones III two-putted for a par 4, which brought Jason Down hard & Jones III walked away with his 5th win & third major of the season, which will very well see him be up there in the top of the ladder again in the NSPGA II.
