Yes, it's back once again! The third season of the Nationstates F1GP World Championship, long name and all, has returned once again for another go around.

How to sign up:
There are some bare essentials that you'll need, of course.

First, there's some names.

Team Name:
First Driver:
Second Driver:
Test Driver:

Then, you have to decide on a point setup for your car. You will have 20 points to split between 3 categories, with a maximum of ten for each.

Aerodynamics: On tracks that have long straights, a higher Aerodynamics skill will make the car faster.
Cornering: On the twistier tracks, a higher Cornering skill will make the car faster as well.
Reliability: The Reliability of the car decides whether or not the car blows up on the track.

That's the bare minimum of what you need, of course. There's always a bunch of other stuff you can list if you're into auto racing, which we definately won't frown upon. There is a limit of one F1 team per nation at this time.

But what's a racing series without Races?

Submitting a Track:

To submit a track for a race, you need:

The name of the circuit,
a track map or description,
and if you drew/created it yourself, a fastest lap time.

Typical policy must require us to say- Keep it light on the Ovals, please.

The season will consist of a number of races that is pretty flexable, to be chosen from applicants. Feel free to apply with multiple tracks, but if possible, One race per nation will be adhered to. Each race will consist of a Qualifying and Race day, and possibly a Practice day before Qualifying day depending on the number of races involved.

-----

A Formula 2 Series will be run in parallel if there are enough entries. Signups would be exactly the same, with the series running Qualifying on the F1 Practice day, an Endurance race on F1 Qualifying day, and a Sprint race on F1 Race day.

Team Name: Team Backbreaker. This name, while an odd one for a Formula One team, originates from team sponsor, the Minister for Defence, Nelson Erazo's love of wrestling. Also sponsored by Data Dynasty Ltd, who are looking to plug their new handheld personal computer, the DD Compact
First Driver: Michael Verde, 29, nine years experience (three with F2)

Track: Affectionately known by fans as 'The Cattle Mutilator', the Agila Racetrack was finished in 2001, at a cost of well ove fifteen million karmic dollars. Among the many things it boasts are fully-equipped executive boxes, terraces at all of the major spots (seats in the area surrounded by track, seen on the left of the map, are now known as the 'Jeter Tribute', after Ken Jeter, who was crippled and forced to retire on this track. They can also go for anywhere around eight hundred karmic dollars, and Agila management are thinking of restricting Jeter Tribute seats to McPsychovillian fans should the racetrack be chosen for the F1GP season.)

Schiavonia
04-04-2006, 14:42
In case you're desperate to fill up the numbers at any point, a Schiavone team would like to enter. However, considering that there are no cars in Schiavonia, and thus no motor racing, we won't be able to submit a track. Or a team worthy of the name. But we have speedboats, so aerodynamics shouldn't be a problem.

Although the Fedala track has been closed for the time being, Tango et Kartuma is looking foward to participating once again in the Formula 1 Grand Prix. The drivers remain the same - Oscar Phillips, Xavier Delson, and as our test driver, Carlech Santiag. We're hoping to making a marginally better run than our two previous attempts - which didn't end as bad as others, but not as good as TeK had expected. In expectation for this new season, Tango et Kartuma released a new car. The relatively statistics are the following:

Aerodynamics: 7
Cornering: 6
Reliability: 7

http://img118.imageshack.us/img118/362/f1carstangokartuma6yj.png

[OOC: Maybe I should just wait until you get back from class, but does the formula take into consideration who is supposed to be the lead driver of the team? In other words, I wouldn't expect Delson to win as much as he would support Phillips for the victory. Meh.]

top class catering and hospitality on site, as well as excellent transport

make an excellent addition to the F1GP season.

Jeff Jordan paused from his Winter Olympicsery to drop his entry in for the Formula 1 World Championship. The Stellar cars had been getting better and better towards the season finale and maybe a win would be possible...

Same drivers as before, he decided. Roger Stoddard in the first car, Bob Turner in the second...give him another chance. Scott Stoddard in the reserve.

More emphasis had been placed this time on speed - they were bulletproof last year but this he needed something more. So he had 8 points allotted to aerodyne, 7 for cornering and the remaining 5 to reliability. Fingers crossed.

Would there be a Wentland GP? Time would tell...

PROVISIONAL TEAM SUBMISSION
GEM - Applied Engineering have submitted documentation to F1GP to renew Twin Crescent Racing for F1GP season 3.

Current drivers are likely to be the returning duo of James KeFlinger and the Casari native Scott LeCroix, with Steven Sloan's test driver position likely on the lock-down.

Although no official car information has been released, the car is likely to retain certain characteristics of last year's model, yet more geared for reliability. Last year's cars were well known for their track speed, setting fastest-lap times & lap records, yet were likely to not finish.
(8-7-5, and likely to be changed.)

CSEA approves Midland Park GP bid
Move made to honor agreemant of last season.

CSEA has announced that Midland Park will be allowed to bid for a F1GP Season 3 Grand Prix at the Candrian Empire. The track will be the Midland Park Raceway Circuit, outside Villa. The 5.8 km track (63 laps) will host it's second F1 race, and the Dominion's third. The race may not hold the traditional position as the start of the second half of the season and beginning of the championship runs of F1, but the race is expected to be exciting nontheless.

Non-livery images of new TCR F1 car released, vehicles tested on streets of Petronas
Intersting aerodynamics elements seen; final sponsors undecided

Twin Crescent Racing, the Candrian Empires representative in F1GP, has released images of their new racing machine, tenatively named the GA 447, in a testing grey protective coat. The car now possesses some interesting elements; winglets on the sides of the main intake, revised sidepods sporting new elements, and a box-wing under the front aerofoil; as well as other elements seen as more temporary that were added on a case-by-case basis during the testing day in Petronas, Candiria - many were seen added on the 3 cars after various mechanical modifications.

On the streets, over 4.3 km of closed roadway, the cars clocked in times of 59.889, 59.893, and 59.901, (James KeFlinger, Scott LeCroix, and Steve Sloan, respectively.) while achieving over 223 mile per hour on the longer closed city streets. Although it's difficult to tell if these times are improvements over last-year's model, considering that this is the first public test day in Petronas, hopes in the TCR camp are high that consistant success and a constructor's championship can be secured.

The race was the most important held in Wentland to that date featuring some Formula 2 entries from abroad, as well as the first sight the public got of the new Stellar SR102 from the Jordan stable. All three built cars were entered, duly finishing in a 1-2-3 order, with the Stoddard brothers either side of Bob Turner.

Already, the PureSpeed F1 team has began testing at their home track, in the lowlands near Atryau. The Atryau track, named the R3 Ring since 1999, has been the home of Ciramix F1 in its two NSF1 championships, and will now house the PureSpeed team again.

The chassis' are almost identical, save for some basic aerodynamic changes. The PS1 is it's name, and it runs on Polytechnic tyres, the PS1-001B engine and PS-070 fuel. Already, the car has been a hive of activity, with the three drivers getting large mileages out of their cars over the testing period. As you can see, a B spec engine has been released already. We are this year pioneering zero keel technology and advanced engine set up.
