Welcome to the InterNation Competitive Horse Racing Thread:

All major horse races will now take place on this thread instead of the NS Sports Betting. However we still run both threads in association with each other! The NS Sports Betting Site - http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=475287

We created this thread to attract people away from the sports betting thread so that the horse racing won't clog the thread, thus people can bet on other sports! We always have races going on! Each event usually lasts about 2 RL Days, but we can have several events going at once!

Basic Rules:
The bet cannot exceed more than $5 Million USD (Make it Realistic)
No Cheating (I dont know if you could Cheat!)
All winnings are handed back in Universal Standard Dollars (USD)
Min. Bet is USD$5*
Win is Win, Loss is Not Win & Tie is No Win!
All bets must be placed before a race
Cannot place more than two bets on each race
All bets must be paid for buy a company, private company or a Government Budget. Please note its proberbly best not to take from a budget!
Money must be paid or transfered to Univeral Standard Dollars (USD)
All scores are random but are influenced by skill, talent & reputation
Subject to change*

Submission for a horse to race:
- Each nation can only submit one horse
- Each nation may be on their own horse
- Must follow the 'basic' rules
- Upon Submission, each horse must race in each race of the event, unless injured or in some way kicked out of the event
- I may occasionally RP the major races. You may RP after i do!
- Must provide the horses name, the type of horse isn't needed
- Must provide a little info (A sentenance or two) on the horse
- You may RP you & your horse being in front of the media or whatever but must wait to RP a race until after i do
- Must abide by the above rules
- Bet Hard, RP Hard & Win Hard!

Gwazzaria would like to submit the racehorse Swamp Robot. Gwazzaria has never had much of an interest in equinary sports, an thus Swamp Robot is not very experienced. We will also place a bet of 5,000USD on him.

World Famous StrongHold set to retire:

Today, the trainer of StrongHold Bruce Rabon admitted that rumours of StrongHold retiring were true. StrongHold was an icon on the National Level, but only raced a little on the International level and now will be retiring after the NS Derby. StrongHold is now too old and loosing focus on the track, Bruce admitted. New Horses younger than her will soon dominate the International Industry. Horses such as Swamp Robot, White Magic, Majestic & Al Santiago will soon replace horses eventually such as elite horses Black Knight & Sky-Rider. Although they still have plenty Left.
Bruce has high-hopes for StrongHold in the Derby, but feels she cannot make it, but will try anyway. It is not yet known if the is a successor of StrongHold although there is a Throughbred, Daisy Dare related to her in blood, that has some reputation on the National Level.

• Avoid betting on the same horse the race after. He may be a little tired and maynot gain such position.

• Avoid betting on a horse that has just moved up in class. He may be out of his league.

• Look for a horse that has a decent chance of winning but is not bet on too heavy.

• Avoid horses that are said to be the very best & gain all the attention. You will soon no what i mean!

• Look for value for money and not just the bets most likely to win.

• Be selective - don't bet on every race & the same horse.


• Always give preference to a horse that has run recently. A horse that has not raced for a few weeks may have suffered some setbacks like an injury or an illness.

After an amazing start, the competition soon started when the horses passed the 500m line. Honey, Eight Lifes Prince & Black Knight headed the rear while Swamp Robot mananged to lead. After the first corner, Al Santiago had a few hundreds yards of straight ground ahead. He soon took over & lead, however fell back to 2nd allowing White Magic to lead around the second bend. On the third Straight the clash was between the trio (Al Santiago, Majestic & Black Knight). Black Knight was on Majestic's heels & Al Santiago out back. On the final bend, black knight eased off allowing a few hundred yards sprint between Majestic & Al Santiago. Majestic Lost his breath in the last 50 yards but managed to gain third, allowing Al Santiago to clasp a first place and letting notirous Black Knight to get in-front but kept Sikhonia in her place keeping her behind him on the last few yards.

Al Santiago again made a first place in the 3000m shortly after taking the 2500m. She was slow to begin but kept up with the mob the first 2400m. Sikhonia lead the entire time, but eased off with the gap, but made the mistake of easing too much and Al Santiago who was advancing in the mob, managed to take over, but the last straight and the two horses were side by side with only a very small gap between them, but Sikhonia missed the first place when her opponent mangaged to win by a head's lenght. The 'Trio' was the same as it was the following race.
