Rabo Karabekian, Head Reasoner of State of The Free Objectivist Republic of Tangled Up In Blue, has announced that the Free Objectivist Republic of Tangled Up In Blue will be raising three light infantry regiments, forming the beginning of the country's defensive force. Arms purchases and pay for the soldiers have already been authorized in the nation's Year 42 Budget, as has a $20,000,000 training center. The regiments' commanders and staff have already been named, and will be announced upon completion of the training center.

Enlistments have already been opened, and are expected to be full well before the planned September 15 completion date of the training center. The three regiments will train together from October 1 until February 1 Year 43, and will then begin their respective active deployments to defensive posts across the country.

While we appreciate your position on Tangled up in Blue's policies and somewhat less than diplomatic ways of expressign them to foreign powers, and are ourselves ruffled by Tangled up in Blue's behaviour, we cannot condone using these circumastances as justification for military action. We formally request that you cease hostilities against Tangled up in Blue and attend a peace conference in which reparations can be made to the Tangled up in Blue people for your attack. Asa neutral country in this conflict, we extend our Capitol, Mondoth City, as neutral grounds for peace talks.

As a matter of policy, we are unable to accept offers of assistance from non-Objectivist nations, no matter how dire our need. However, since your missile defense systems were placed in international waters, there is not a whole hell of a lot we can do about it. As we cannot publicly express gratitude for this assistance, we will understand should you choose to remove the defenses and will not attempt to engage in any action against you, now or in the future, as a result of this particular event; on the other hand, if they should remain stationed we will not attempt to forcibly reject them--your stationing them in international waters enables us to save face and still benefit from their presence.

Offering to provide a neutral location for negotiations is a different story; there is not, as far as we can tell, any particular material benefit to holding negotiations in one particular neutral location over another, and so we do accept that offer. Would your nation be willing to act as an intermediary channel to work out the details of the time and particular location between our nation and Pythogria?
