After over three years of being on NationStates, I'm leaving. For good.
As of now, The Republic of Syskeyia no longer exists.
Syskeyian Mars will be given to Tarasovka and Allanea. They can divvy it up whichever way they want. Don't worry about the Syskeyian people - they just disappeared.
I know that there are many RPs I have yet to finish. I'm sorry to say that I won't. It would just be hypocritical for me to write this, then finish the threads. I am sorry.
I've been throughout most of NS history so far. I remember back when the Empress of Daemonesu went missing, when Darkskye was a major military power, when Pure Evil had the world's only storefront. I remember back when Athenys outlawed Christian missionaries, and when Matty I ruled Iesus Christi. And I sure as heck remember the Amerigan Slaver War - I was the one who blockaded Amerigo in the first place! :) And I remember much, much more.
Most of my Syskeyia pictures on my photobucket account I have deleted. I have saved a handful for RP reference reasons. Dowload or transfer them if you want them - I will take the rest of them down by the end of this week.
Deleting these pictures made me realize just how much NS has come to take up my life. That is not good.
I have my reasons for leaving, and it should suffice to say that many of them contributed to Vegana's "Let it Snow!" thread. But they are not the only reasons, and ultimately what I choose to do is my responsibility, and I choose to end my run here.
