BUM DA DUM!

Are YOU sick of moving your football team from one nation to another, in a competition that is nicknamed the "Cup of Losers"???

Are YOU sick of the hosts saying "but it was THEIR turn to scorinate!!1!"???

Are YOU sick of competitions being given to nations like LE by default because noone else could be bothered with them???

THEN HAVE WE GOT A DEAL FOR YOU!!!

Come to Spaam, experienced host of past Cups of Harmony (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=306375), experienced roleplayer, experienced scorinator, and a nation which is NOT LE (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=474238).

Some of the highlights:

RP Bonus

Using our top-of-the-range RP Qualit-o-matic™, we will detect your quality roleplays, and add a fraction of a KPB point to your ranking. With a limit of one RP counted per matchday, this prevents Spaaming™, and gives lower ranked nations a bigger bonus for roleplaying!

Past Hosting

IGNORING WCVI... Spaam has successfully hosted a number of tournaments, including CoH 12 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=306375) and the Veterans Cup. Plus would you trust the nation that hosted WCXXII???

Number of Teams

If Spaam qualifies for the World Cup, then we shall have 4 groups, and the number of teams shall be a multiple of 4. The top 4 from each group shall go on to the final series. If Spaam does NOT qualify for the World Cup, then we shall have 5 groups, and the number of teams shall be a multiple of 5. The top 3 from each group shall go on to the final series, along with Spaam. Hey, there has to be SOME benefit to hosting this tournament!

Scorination

Since the current World Cup has proven so successful, we shall use the same method of scorination, possibly putting a little more emphasis on RPing.

Ranks

Same deal as the current World Cup, though with post-WC ranks. Who doesn't like +/- 5 styles? Ridiculous scores = better RP. And who is LE to comment on something like that anyway?

Stadium

We will include the obligatory and worthless pictures of stadia a bit later. But Spaam IS well known as a leader in stadium technology, being able to cram over a quarter of a million people into one stadium. And no, our people are NOT 2 inches tall!

Artanis National Football Stadium

One of the most famous stadia in the world, it holds up to 250 thousand full-size people. Most famous for causing stadium-envy amonst other nations. This stadium has held countless international football matches in the past 80+ years. Situated in Spaam's capital Artanis, in the south of the nation, it is a busy metropolis of almost 200 million people.

Holding around 200 thousand people, this stadium is situated in the desert oasis of Moladias, a city of over 50 million people.

East Spaam National Football Stadium

In the northern-most city of Austraea, this stadium is East Spaam's finest. It seats just over 200 thousand people.

Gall Island Football Stadium

Spaam's only major off-shore stadium, this stadium in Gallunias features the best take-away Chicken 'n' Waffles in the world. Seats almost 150 thousand.

There will be one stadium for every group, so if there are 5 groups, the following shall also be used:

Interesting bid, Spaam. A few questions:

-What will be the sign-up method? That is, will it be invite only, or will you take all comers, provided the guidelines set already.

-Will the method be better than LE's? ;)

What a GOOD question! ;)

I will personally invite all the teams that lose the playoffs. Any team in #sport shall also be invited. Otherwise, teams can sign up if they have posted at least one RP in the RP thread.

Will this be better than LE's?

Well, this will provide revenge for all the teams that just missed out, provides for all the teams that participate in sport discussion, provides for ANY team that has bothered to RP, while preventing any obvious leechers. Not knowing what LE's method is, I can still GUARANTEE you this is better. Cos I can.

Are they supposed to trust the nation who so miserably failed to host WC6 (when it wasn't even awarded to them but cried for hosting because they were "in the top 10") after being given the right to cohost?

a) Who remembers WCVI? About 5 nations.

b) That was more than 2 years ago.

c) You're failed a lot more recently and since then I have successfully hosted multiple tournaments. Including a CoH.

What, pray tell, have I failed? Nothing. WC22 was a "failure" due to SO, if anything, get your fricking facts right.

OK now - play nice... Bid threads aren't really supposed to be an excuse for the leaders of the opposing bids to imply nasty things about each other.

Doesn't really look good to voters, does it?

Oh please, it's much more fun this way! Besides, the (EWCC) voters for CoH will have made up their minds long ago that Spaam is a fool.

Or that LE is. Just for neutrality's sake. Pick your own fools, I'm not getting into trouble :p

Please play nice, and don't air dirty laundry in public - there's AIM or MSN or a zillion others if you want to debate/argue/feud/whatever.

Thankyou.

Wow. This got ugly fast... Some people need to learn to not take things so seriously. In any case, there's no more to say, so I'd like this thread locked!

If you want to have this thread locked, you should post the request in Moderation.

I wonder who reported this thread? I was prepared to have there be a bunch of RP'd incriminations and advertising claims and all that stuff, but that quickly went out the window. I was also prepared to make my own IC "case" either for or against this bid or the other bids.

As a note, nobody reported this thread; I read it myself.

Thread locked at author's request.

Have a nice day, everybody!
