Waiting for you at The Oblivioar Restaurant, Tark replied. The truth was he wasn't quite there yet, but either way he might as well put a sense of urgency into Boaz's mind so as to hurry him up.
Boaz replied, Waiting for me at The Oblivioar Restaurant? You never said anything about a restaurant Tark. Boaz ran into his closet and ran out with a slick dark grey suit on. He checked himself in the mirror and made sure everything was okay. He then replied back, How long have you been waiting? He grabbed his weapons and ran out of the door towards his garage to get his car.
Negative three minutes, give or take a few seconds, Tark responded as he guessed at how soon he would be there.
Leave it to my men to screw up on tracking Boaz. Figures given that they never track him, Tark thought as his car drew nearer.

Boaz hit a button on his remote key to unlock the door to one of his cars. He jumped in and pulled out onto the road. He lived a couple minutes away from The Oblivioar Restaurant so it wouldn't take him long to get there. On his way there he asked, So what is this about anyway, Tark?
Women... Tark said cunningly. If there was one word that would get Boaz moving quickly, it was women. Besides, it was true.
Tark was two blocks from the restaurant when he asked his driver to stop. He hopped out and walked into an alley that was on the side of the restaurant.

Women, huh? I'll see you in thirty seconds. Boaz floored the gas and sped quickly down the road. Within fifteen seconds he had parked his car inside of the parking garage across the street. He jumped out car, made sure everything was straight and ran to the restaurant. Once outside he walked in calmly. He looked around and tried to see if he could spot Tark. He then voiced to him, Where are you?
Outside... Tark replied as he moved from the alley and stood just to the side of one of the restaurant, still in the shadows.

Boaz turned around and looked out one of the windows. Tark was acting strange. He looked at him and voiced, Are you coming in?

"I am beginning to be suspicious of her," Michelle then stated.
"Oh she's fine, nothing to worry about," Jacen replied with a mouthful of elven bread.
Wooshaba']Boaz turned around and looked out one of the windows. Tark was acting strange. He looked at him and voiced, Are you coming in?
Tark hadn't really wanted to discuss the matter inside. Let's talk outside. I am in the alley.
Boaz appeared in the alley a few seconds later. "Boaz," he said in soft and quiet tone. "We have a problem. The woman you were with... Jade... well she is a hired assassin who just knocked off her target. Aeschia is the woman I met a couple of days ago and is quite... unique. Now the problem is, is that Jade's target and now dead victim was one of Aeschia's close friends..."

Tark hadn't really wanted to discuss the matter inside, but perhaps the loud chatter of the restaurant would muffle their conversation.
He appeared inside a few seconds later. "Boaz," he said in soft and quiet tone. "We have a problem. The woman you were with... Jade... well she is a hired assassin who just knocked off her target. ooc: Aeschia would have seen both of you as she is outside on a bench right in front of the restaurant next to the door.

Boaz looked at him and said, "Okay and why does that matter to me?"
"You probably don't want to get in the middle of a fight of these proportions..." Tark said as a warning. An assassin versus an ancient vampire was not something to mess with.

Boaz nodded in agreement and said to his old friend, "I don't think that you should involve yourself in it either Tark. It is too dangerous for both of us."
"Believe me, I am not," Tark replied as they stood in the shadows conversing. "I have stayed away from both of them since I learned of this... tis best to let them settle it when they do."

Boaz shook his head and said, "I was starting to get attached to her too. Damnit. I am hopeless." Boaz looked across the street.
"Believe me, I know how you feel," Tark responded as his gaze to left the other and scanned the area. "I was feeling that me and her connected in a way that I have not felt in a while."
"We will just have to sit and wait out the storm..." he said with a sigh.

Boaz nodded and sighed. He then said, "I wonder who will win?"
"I wonder if either will..." Tark responded, letting his comment hang in the night's cool air.
"I will watch them... but for now, I bid you good night."

Aeschia walked around and stretched a bit prior to entering the restaurant, rather angry. She read Michelle's mind when she was outside.
So, she does not trust me. Shit! Reminds me of one of an old song I like... this whole city reminds me of this song. It was by 'Radiohead' called 'Paranoid Android'. I am going to confront her and leave. Although I must speak with Jacen and I have to see Tark.
Aeschia walked in and sat down looking disgusted with Michelle. "I do not see any reason to stay for dinner with someone who does not trust me." Aeschia glared at her. "Why you would come to that conclusion, I have no idea. I have told you no untruth, and thought that, because of my skills, I could help.
"Apparently, you do not want to bother with me Michelle. I do not stick around people who do not trust me.
"Jacen, may I please speak with you outside for a moment. It will just take a second. It is important that I do." Aeschia added as she stood up.
After that, she would contact Tark. He said it would take about an hour to get the info he needed. She wanted the info.
Hypocritical as it was, she was thinking, Fucking assassin! Although in her many thousands of years on the planet, she was considered an expert assassin. Part of the way she proved herself to be of the same caliber as Marius on her own. Another line from a song ran through her mind:
Conscience's just a mutherfucker locked in the dark.
While she was waiting for Jacen, and/or some words from Michelle, she projected to Tark.
Tark you told me you would have the rest of the information in an hour... that was yesterday. I would like that information and I need to see you tonight. I will leave a channel open for you to respond. Looks like I am leaving the restaurant. The bitch here, for no reason whatsover, does not trust me. I have to see you tonight... for sure. Please answer me and tell me where we can meet.

Michelle coldly stared at Aeschia but said nothing.
Jacen shrugged that off and stood up, following Aeschia outside. He too said nothing and just waited for her to speak.
I will be out front of the restaurant in five minutes, Tark replied via thoughts. There I will give you a packet with all of the information you will need... but then I can do nothing else. This is your battle...
The communication ended with those final words hanging in the air. The truth was he was only five seconds away from the front of the restaurant, but there was no reason to let Aeschia know that. He would step out of the shadows in a few minutes and present her with the information that he had in his coat pocket.

Aeschia replied to Tark:
Are you saying we cannot see each other anymore?
As they stepped out of the restaurant, Aeschia spoke to Jacen. "Jacen, I am inviting you, no begging you to stay with me for a while. You can have run of your suite and do anything you like. You will be catered to like a king.
"I have to say that I am saddened by the fact that this person, Michelle, who is supposed to be close to the prince, does not trust me. It hurts me actually Jacen. Zanaar's people keep behaving as if they cannot trust me. All except you... and you are the one who is right.
"I do not know how she expects me to dine with someone who does not trust me. I suppose she will tell that lie to the prince. Michelle does not even know me.
"I appreciate and am honored that the prince would pay for my dinner, however, I do not want to have dinner with people who do not trust me. Can you understand that Jacen?" She asked. "And will please stay with me. I am... a little concerned, not to mention I love your company, sweetie." Aeschia said.
She waited for Tark's reply in her mind.

"Even so, will you take a break and stay with me? Just a few days Jacen?" Aeschia begged.
"Also, do you think I should stay for dinner and go in the limo, or no?
"One more thing... you do not seem yourself and I am concerned. What is wrong, Jacen? I can tell something is bothering you, and I would like you to tell me." Aeschia looked him in the eyes, very concerned.
All this while she waited for Tark's response. Jacen and Aeschia walked around in front of the restaurant waiting for whatever it was.
What is going on!? She thought.

Jacen looked around, avoiding the question for the moment.
"The limo's not here," he said, leaning against the wall.
He watched the traffic drive past.
"Are you trying to buy out my loyalty?"

"You already are loyal to the prince! What are you talking about?!
"I see you like... someone I want to make sure is OK. I am waiting on something here...
"Jacen... I do not know why I am asking you if I should stay with you and Michelle. It sounds like you do not trust me either." Tears formed in her eyes.
Aeschia cared greatly for Jacen, and now he doesn't trust her either.
She looked at Jacen, tears still in her eyes. "Oh I see, now you do not trust me either. I thought we were friends, and I would enjoy your company, and I know you liked my condo. Nevermind then. I will not come back to the table since neither of you trust me. Obviously the prince had something to say, but he keeps sending rude people to speak to others.
"Go back to Michelle if you trust her so much and do not trust me." Aeschia told Jacen, holding back sobs.

Jacen pulled his trenchcoat tighter around him as a cold breeze blew past. His eyes turned to the ground.
"It's how they get people to switch loyalties," he said, his voice growing cold and distant. "They've done it to alot of the princes trusted people, lavishing gifts and homes. It's how vampire politics are played out."
A tear rolled down his cheek.
"They keep trying to buy out my loyalty, over and over again someone tries to tempt me to turning against the prince."

"I see." Aeschia responded to Jacen. "Well, if you cannot believe that I genuinely like you and enjoy your company, that is your call and my loss." A tear fell down her face. "Trust is implicit in a friendship, and if you do not trust me, then we cannot be friends... and I had so much fun spending time with you.
"So I assume you do not want me to join you two for dinner. I cannot believe you used me, my money, everything, when you did not even trust me! It is cruel! Who is the one who feigned friendship here? Not I." Aeschia said through her tears.
"I will just walk home and get my car another time. It was nice knowing you Jacen, and a lot of fun, when I thought you really were my friend."
She also did not hear from Tark. Everyone was abandoning her. I will avenge my friend, and leave. I mean nothing to Tark... he will not even respond, and this whole time, Jacen suspected me. Well, when I am gone, they will know I did not give a shit about power.
The tears would not stop, as she turned on her heel and walked away.

Jacen hadn't heard that, he hadn't her turn and walk away. By that time his eyes had gone wide and bloodshot, his hands were now upon his head, pushing at his temples. He yelled through gritted teeth.
But people ignored him as if he was some lunitic on the street. Sure he was insane and on the street but that was beside the point. The pain sheered through Jacens head, the taste in the bread he had eaten that was strange he had put down to it being elven bread. No he had been poisoned with silver.
Michelle watched through the window as Jacen fell to the ground. A job well done, with their little talk outside, it could easily be blamed on Aeschia. It could take minutes or even an hour for the silver to bring final death upon Jacen if he was unlucky that the silver would do so. Michelle smirked as she headed out the back of resturant and disappeared into the night. One of the princes loyal followers and a scrapegoat, it was just to easy to manipulate the pair.

Aechia looked back at Jacen to see his reaction, and realized he was in trouble. She was at his side in a second.
Time to find Michelle. Her eyes turned solid red.
She grabbed Jacen and went airborne. She will not make it three blocks.
Sure enough, there was Michelle running down an alley. Aeschia read her mind.
Zanaar, I hope you hear this, Michelle betrayed Jacen and poisoned him with silver! I will stop her now!
Aeschia pulled out an assassin's pistol from her thigh holster. It was full of silver jacketed bullets. Aeschia shot her to pieces. Michelle fell in a second.
Aeschia landed next to Michelle, set Jacen down, stepped on her chest, and pulled her head right off. "Bye bye Michelle, you sick traitor!" For extra measure, she lit her on fire.
She grabbed Jacen and flew home in a second, while telepathicaly informing the Tremere house doctor that a kindred friend was poisoned with silver and needed tending to. The doctor responded instantly, meeting her at her home, where she already had Jacen in bed.
"Please... it is silver poisoning. You must save him!!
"Jacen Jacen! Hang on!" Aeschia held his hand sobbing while the kindred doc worked on Jacen.
"Doctor, if he needs strength, I have very strong blood... would it help if I gave him blood? I actually have a bag in the refrigerator."
"Yes, Lady Aeschia, I am aware of the strength of your blood, and it may make a big difference."
"I will get some bags and an IV stand!"
She flew to the refrigerator and back with three bags.
"Give him all of these if it will strengthen him enough to get him through this.
"Jacen, Jacen! Hold on Jacen... Michelle did this to you! I avenged you already." Aeschia held onto his hand and put it next her face and cried... "Jacen, you must make it!"
She wondered if the prince could see this. Aeschia wanted him to know who the traitor was.
Most importantly... Jacen, you must live, my sweetie! Hold on! If you can hear me, it is Aeschia. Please hold on! she projected this into his head hoping he was well enough to understand.

Jacen was drifting in and out of concousness, his insides were burning from the effects of the silver. A few times he coughed up blood. He probably wasn't even aware of his surroundings.
The door to her home burst in followed by two heavily armed vampires. There were both rather large and wore all black. They made it to where Aeschia was and between them stepped the blond man from the picture that Jacen had shown Aeschia before.
"Where was he?" he demanded.

"Your excellency, if you need my services with these two, please do not hesitate to ask."
Aeschia turned to Jacen and the tears started falling. She talked soothingly to him. "Jacen, you will be OK. We have a lot more fun to have together, so you must stay. You will never believe who is here!" she whispered. "The prince! See how much he cares about you!"

"You can trust me, and you can trust Jacen. He is a little goofy. I had so much fun with him and he has nothing but wonderful things to say about you. He is dedicated to the end.
"As a matter of fact, I offered to let him stay at my place here in his favorite room, and when we were talking he thought I might be an enemy bribing him.
"I started to cry and left, and turned to see his reaction and he was on the ground screaming. I ran back and grabbed him, found 'Michelle' and riddled her with silver jacketed bullets and tore her head off.
"You know, Jacen is so sweet, naive, innocent, and unpredictable... In two days time I began to feel like his caretaker. I know he loved it here and that is why I asked him to stay. Now we know someone is trying to assassinate him. Such a sweet boy... how anyone could hurt him..." A tear ran down her face.
Aeschia snapped her fingers. "We need an infrared sauna!" It will detoxify the silver out of Jacen's pores! I will get the concierge to get one now. He is kindred, so it will be quick. I do not know why I did not think of this before!"
Quickly an infrared sauna was brought in and set up, Jacen was put in it, set for 30 minutes. "I will put on a bikini and sit with him. I do not want him to be alone.
"Doctor, do you need any more of my blood?"
The doctor replied no, that it was extremely strong blood and had done a world of good. The infrared sauna would completely detox him and he would be fine.
Aeschia cried she was so happy. She ran into her room and put on a bikini and entered the Infrared Sauna with Jacen. Prior to entering the sauna, there were obvious stares from the men in the room at seeing Aeschia in a bikikni, all her curves showing. Aeschia did not even notice. She wanted to get to Jacen right away.
"Jacen, you are going to be fine! The silver is almost out of you. This is the final step and it will be gone!" Aeschia hugged him and smiled at him. "I am so happy! The prince said how much he cares about you, too!"
Meanwhile, Aeschia wondered what Zanaar would do with the men with the pretzel shaped guns.
Who and why would someone want to kill Jacen?

Aeschia was shocked. "That means you are Malkavian!" Aeschia exclaimed. "That is what everyone is afraid of, is it not?" She looked at the prince as she brought Jacen out of the sauna. He was finally purged of the silver. However he was weak and needed lots of rest.
"If you are Malkavian, would it not make sense that the other clans are afraid? Jacen has done some pretty off-the-wall things." Aeschia explained.
As the doctor changed Jacen into a clean robe, Aeschia paged Darlene and had him moved to the suite he loved to recover.
"Prince Zanaar? If you are Malkavian, I understand why others may be afraid of what you may do. However, it does not seem you have done anything improper to this point. As I said, I have seen and listened to Jacen come up with some extremely wild antics.
"Please sit down. Is this the case? Someone is trying to assassinate Jacen. I see now. May he stay here while he recovers? I want to be with him. I am afraid for him. He is so sweet." A tear ran down Aeschia's face.

Jade was sitting on her phone in her apartment. She talked to the person who had hired her to kill Jacen. It was a high ranking member of the Malkavian clan. For some reason he wanted to kill his own clan member. Something about getting closer to the prince.
Jade nodded and said, "Uh-huh. Sir I promise you I will handle this myself. I will not let this mistake. I swear that on my blood."
A shady voice replied, "You better not. I already had to cover for you too much. Kill the target and get the money. It's easy. I do not expect to talk to you until I have a body on my doorstep."
Jade replied, "Yessir. I will personally deliver it."
"Good. I will see you in two days." He hung up the phone.

Zanaar sat next to Jacen who groggily placed his head on the princes shoulder. The prince ran a hand through Jacens hair.

"No offense... I am an experienced assassin, Camarilla, and an ancient... Your Excellency, may I come along. Something strange is happening. One of my very good friends was recently assassinated as well. Tremere... by the name of Victor. Are you by chance familiar with him?" Aeschia asked him.
"I have the address of the assassin. I wonder if they are connected. There is someone I need to get in touch with, then I intend to go to that address, possibly, and I would like to help guard Jacen.
"Sir, will you allow me this privlege. I fear there are people on the inside... maybe someone on the inside has ordered this. I see now why you stay out of public.
"If you allowed me to help, I would also help discern who hired the assassin if it is someone in your inner circle, sir." Aeschia waited for his reply.
Aeschia quickly telekinetically contacted Tark again.

I do not know if you are aware of some of the crazy things he did and said when we were out, but he would not be a threat to anyone except perhaps himself. And he is so... he is precious." "I also was not aware that all Malkavians were not completely off the wall. I am quite surprised. You are very sane. I thought all Malkavians were like Jacen. I guess you learn somethingn new every day.
"When I hear from the man I am waiting on, I am going to ask him to get information on this attempt. It is quite possible that he can, however I have a feeling he would not as he would not like to be involved, which I must say is an attitude I do not care for, but understand." Aeschia explained

"I guess everything has to be investigated in that case. I am so glad Jacen is OK. May I ask you a question? If you do not want to answer, that is fine. Why did you turn him at such a young age?" Aeschia asked.

"There are younger looking vampires," Zanaar replied.
He gave Aeschia a look that said, 'I won't tell, don't ask'.

"Sorry for asking something so personal." Aeschia looked at Jacen. "I find him to be so... I have said it before... precious and sweet. I do not think he has any idea how much joy he brings people.
"I told him he was lovely company and he said no one had ever told him that before.
"As soon as I get my information... which I have been waiting several days for, I will know more and see if I can get information on who may want to kill Jacen. It is unfathomable to me that anyone would ever want to hurt him. I only met him two nights ago, and I feel protective of him." Aeschia smiled at the prince.
"I imagine he brings you much joy, Prince Zanaar."

"Oh he does," Zanaar replied.
Beside him, Jacen groaned his body still weak from the silver.
"Unfortunately my enemies try to get at me through him."

"I will do my best to find out everything I can regarding this assassination attempt. You are right. I should have left Michelle alive, but I was so angry... seeing poor innocent Jacen screaming on the sidewalk." Aeschia's eyes watered up.
"She probably would not talk anyway. Not the truth." Aeschia sighed.
"Do you have any particular enemies. Names I mean. People that can be checked out?" Aeschia asked the prince.

"Unfortunately I have many enemies in my position," Zanaar said coldly. "They stay in the shadows with hidden faces, even Marie cannot see them."

"I want to find out who did this to Jacen, and who killed my friend. Those are two goals of mine." Aeschia said sounding as determined as one could be.
"By the way, who is Marie?"

"Marie is my seer," Zanaar said.

OOC: When did Aeschia become such a sleuth? ;) :p

ooc: She's 10K yrs old! She's an expert assassin, has rooms in her home with every weapon you can imagine over the ages, practice rooms, etc. She's done everything... martial artist, etc. She's had a lot of time to perfect everything!
I am not saying that we cannot see each other anymore. What I am saying is that I can not afford to get involved in another turf war, nor can I fight your battles, Tark replied via the mental link Aeschia had left open for him. I am not avoiding you. I said I would be in front of the restaurant in a few minutes, but when I arrived there, you were no where to be seen - I doubt that is my fault... unless my eyes are failing me.
Yes... we can meet. I will come to your place...
As Tark's words trailed off, there was a knock at the door.

OOC: So she is the ultimate being. I wouldn't want to meet her in a dark alley. :p
Boaz walked down the street towards his apartment. His heart or what was left of a heart was hurting badly. This girl had him stuck. He didn't know what to do. This had only happened to him once before and it was in school. He started looking in windows and thinking, I wonder if Jade would like this? I should by this. The more and more he thought about her the more crazy he became. He then said aloud, "What the hell is the matter with me?!!" This girl was driving him nuts.

Aeschia replied telepathically to Tark:
Tark, get here ASAP. I was out in front of the restaurant, only very shortly as my friend was the target of an attempted assassination. He was poisoned with silver. I had to take off with him immediately. Thankfully we were able to bring him around.
What are you talking about 'being involved' in turf wars? You said you have info on the assassin, and now I need info on this new assassin and I was hoping you could help me with information at least. It seems that you do not want to spend time with me socially. I hope this is not true, Tark. Please hurry, the prince is here with Jacen, who barely made it.
Aeschia turned to the prince. "A friend with some information is on his way over right now, if you could possibly wait before leaving."

ooc: How would anyone Jade knows get this info? No one saw Aeschia, she does not know Aeschia, the only witness is dead. As far as she should know, Aeschia doesn't even exist, there are no records on her. There is no way she could know Aeschia was involved...

OOC: The same way Aeschia found out about Jade. Spies. Jade has hers too. When I say pictures I mean the remains of Michelle's body. Michelle also had someone following her who I haven't introduced yet. He'll be coming around soon.

ooc: How can you just bring in a new major char in the middle without posting it on ooc at the beginning. Jade has no reason to spy on Aeschia, as she has no clue that Aeschia even knew the guy, or who she is... And if spys were following her, I think she would know. You're saying in retrospect that all of this happened, not as it happened. You're looking at my posts and then saying "X" happened before and I have a new char. That does not seem quite kosher.

OOC: Michelle had no one following her. She would not have gone to the resturant if she had considering what happened, she'd know if she was being followed.
If you're going to have someone followed, please discuss it in the OOC thread.

ooc: He means Aeschia has been continually followed by someone not brought into the RP and "spies" that were never mentioned until now. As it stands, Aeschia should be completely unknown to Jade or anyone she works with.

Yes, I have info on the assassin and yes, I will help you get a little more. However, I am not getting directly involved or in the middle of any brewing conflict, Tark responded. To her comment about not wanting to spend time socially with her Tark responded, I am not sure where you keep getting these ideas from. You infer something that is not there. I merely said I am not getting in the middle of this.
There was another knock at the door.

Please hurry, I think the prince wants to get Jacen to a safe place. I may go along. The social thing... you just sound like you want to back away, and I do not understand what any of this has to do with us.

"Come in Tark. Tark, that is my friend Jacen who was nearly assassinated tonight. And this... this is Prince Zanaar.
"Please sit down. I need to know everything. That is now two people who were friends of mine." Aeschia sighed.
"It is good to see you Tark. May I offer you anything?" she asked.

Zanaar nodded, but stayed silent.
"Good evening, Aeschia... Jacen... Zanaar," Tark said as he turned to each one in the room and gave them a slight nod of the head.
"No, no... I am quite fine. I grabbed a drink at the restaurant while I was mistakenly waiting." He took a seat, removed a thick file from his inner breast pocket, and laid it on his lap. "I believe the information you seek can be found in this..." he commented as he tossed the file onto a chair near him.
