Order, At Last

Austar Union

Translated from German...
... I find it personally unfortunate that these days could not have come sooner, and that a more peaceful transition from the less capable governments of yesterday may not have occured as it should. It is only natural however, that out of the situation that existed--that being, a vaccumme in which no dominant force existed; for a 'rule by arms' to commence. A war of which is not so much formed nor fought by actually shooting and killing one another (although much of that went on), but rather one of which each side attempt to convince others into submission. He who has the most guns wins, and as it had seemed, the one to negotiate control over the remaining police and armed national forces, and the one who actually knew how to use it effectively, would win. Who would have known, that the lesser known capitalist dogs of society, would ultimately dominate over chaos. But of course.

The order of things, they facinate me ...

-T. J. Stryker, Advocate of the " New Order Society "

Months had already passed since the New Order Society had taken form as 'government' over the chaos and lawlessness which had previously been known as the Federated States of Austar Union. And from the conflict which had since arisen, many questions had come to pass and be presented to the world which may or may not have known.

"Why did our former leader surrender so quickly?"

"For what reasons did our fellow citizens actually revolt?"

"What ever happened to Lord Indigo Blue?"

And a common one...

"Is Indigo still alive?"

All of which, remain unanswered. Naturally, when there lacked an answer there were always men and women to speculate. Many such stories and conspiracies came to be published within the public eye, within books written by previously unknown authors and the occasional newspaper tabloid. But the government of today had sought to establish quickly fact from fiction. It was important that the fragile sense of stablity remained in place, so that the people could slowly but surely rebuild. This was this home, and only months before they attempted to burn it to the ground.

They failed.

It was fortunate that they came when they did, these individuals that established this newfound order. A group of powerful individuals, linked only by their most recent "investment", to formulate a provisional government, eventually leading to permanant governance. And among them all, they had selected their various positions within government. Their rise in the meantime had come at a heavy price. Multi-Billionaires were made almost overnight by a simple banking transaction; those who previously commanded large contingents of the former police and national guard units. Those who still remained loyal to "the vision". That being, to re-establish true order among a people turned violent. This group in the meantime; the "New Order Society" arose to strength when they purchased command over said contingents, and as one united force, dominated the lesser who fought others street to street.

It had only taken a day, or two.

In the meantime, it was only expected that foriegn media and the various intelligence enterprises would have been investigating this new government for themselves. Mostly, they would find that a similar system of governing had been formed. That under the leadership of Wolfgang Milano, a benevolent dictatorship had once again been re-established. He was not an oppressive man, but also knew the importance of his due dilligence. As such, the Judicial Departments were regarded as one of the most important. First on his priority list was a matter of National Security. Second, was Education. And for the fact that Austarians had a general tendancy to be born as natural businessmen, entrepreneurs, and general capitalists, economic prosperity would surely ensure.

Furthermore, Wolfgang would be expected to honor most of the various commitments the former government did also. During the reign of Indigo, he supported many of his political affiliations. And he hoped, that such a change of government would not affect this country, too much. Of course, his actual foriegn policy would only be dictated and revealed with due time.
