A war is coming, a war between vampires. The vampire princes days may just be numbered, there are those loyal to him and then there are those who wish to be rid of him.

I have decided on starting a new vampire RP based around the vampire prince of Exetergrecia, Zanaar. Basically I'm looking for vampire characters who may be loyal to the prince, siding with those who wish to rid the city of him or even neutral vampires.

I will get a character profile up soon, but first I need to know a couple of things. I am not that familiar with RPing vampires (my knowledge of them is not nil, but it is not vast) and so I would like to know the basic abilities of a vampire (i.e. there strength compared to that of the normal human, their resistance to disease, their thirst for blood, etc).

Strength is more than your average human, pretty strong actually. Senses are sharpened, though most of the time they can't dodge bullets until their much, much older and their abilities increase.

Immune to disease since they're already dead.

As for thirst, once a day usually suffices, though there are some much greedier vampires out there.

Bio:

A very young vampire and still relatively inexperienced. Jacen hails from a small Malkavian clan known for following the orders of the voices in their heads. Jacen however decided to cut loose from the others and go into the world alone, the voice in his head had told him so.

Somehow the road led him to Kilasser and a new place opened up before him. Jacen does seem out of place compared to other vampires, a fact he knows all to well and actually enjoys. He can at times appear eccentric and often plays practical jokes on others, vampire or human.

As a young vampire, he is still learning and is always trying to learn more.

Tark is an experienced vampire who has trained very hard over the few centuries he has been alive. He wields his canesword well, though his real passion is that of education and the arts. As such, what annoys him over everything else is to see or hear stupidity around him...

Was created from a Turkish soldier and has many of the same attributes. He is a very talented killer and a popular contractor for his age and experience. Unfortunately he is still somewhat young and reckless. He is both undecided in the war and likely to do stupid things. He almost agreed to a contract against an Inconnu but thankfully came to his senses.

He is currently living away from the Assamite haven in Almut and is currently residing in a remote location while stalking a victim close to Exetergrecia's location and could be easily swayed at this point.

Not that experienced and is still learning. He only thirst for blood when he has to. The only people he sucks blood from are criminals. Irving thinks that overkill is not necessary. Irving sees himself as a hero. Likes reading books. Has not fought anyone that is a vampire. During his younger years he trained himself to use a saber. Wanders around the world to do tasks for his clan and hunting down criminals.

Do I have to be a member of a particular clan? Previously Aeschia was of the first brood along w/Marius, her lover/husband... Can you set me straight on this?

I'm having difficulty with the whole clan thing and bloodlines, etc. In the last RP, I was thousands of years old, along w/Marius, and one of the first... I don't know what that means. Is it important? Everyone has Clan and Bloodline, etc. The only thing that comes close is Antediluvian, but as I said, I wanted to be in the first generation, w/ Marius, etc. As far as weapons and powers, I had telepathy w/out others being able to read my mind, telekenisis, and extreme strength. I can't remember it all and I haven't been over to the old RP, however I recall being one of the strongest of the vampires. Flight, superior fighting skills, blah blah blah... I don't know where to go w/this.

In the last RP, I think it came out that I was 10,000 years old or more, but looked about 28 or so. Marius was slightly older. I'm confused as when we started the RP previously, we didn't have this clan stuff, etc. I went to the site and found it rather confusing. (Constant migraines haven't helped...) Anyway, I believe we were following more of an Anne Rice thing (at least when I was in it... ie: Marius, etc.) I left prior to finding more out, however, people just listed ages and abilities at the beginning.

Could someone help me out a bit w/out changing my char's age and bloodline so I am in the first generation? :confused: I should have a pic, but not until next week. (I'm in a hella lot of pain and exhausted, so I can't do a lot right now.) Personally, if I was a first generation original, I don't know what clan that would make me. As far as attributes, I guess I could just give personality traits. I don't want to make myself into a "game" character with absolute traits.

Appearence: Slightly-tanned skin, black hair tied in a braid which goes down her back. The hair is secured by a jade broach which is shaped like in eye. She usually wears knee high boots and a long leather trenchcoat.
Personality: Something of a workaholic. When she is on a job she is cool and detached. However when she dosen't have a contract she will relax.
Weapons: One sniper rifle, two hand pistols, one shotgun pistol, two kukri knives, and one garrote. (These are her favorite weapons, she can however pick up just about anything and use it as a weapon)
Bio: Daughter of an english merchant who made his fortune in Egypt. He eventually moved there once he fell in love with a local girl and converted to Islam to marrry her. (Though he was never really devout, but then again the same could be said when he was a Protestant) Her given name was Asra (which ironically means, one who travels by night. She was homeschooled by her mother. When she grew up she went to a college overseas to get an education. She got a job as a writer for a newspaper, then she heard that both her parent had been killed. She quit her job and traveled back to Egypt to take over the family business. In her first year back she began to see a Egyption, who had some strange habits. After a while he embraced her into the Assamite clan. The rest is history.

I'm just trying to fit the eons old thang in with this... and what clan would I be if I was the first generation?? Turned slightly after Marius, but by whoever the originator was... or something? And if you recall, Marius was over 10,000 yrs old because he remembered that Sith Lord Dude from 10K yrs ago. :rolleyes:

She is almost always in black… miniskirts, low cut halter tops and such, leather pants, leather bustiers and tank tops, as well as high heeled tall black boots, which she is unencumbered by, as far as fighting goes… “club clothing, semi-Goth” wear, dresses, almost always worn with a long black cape which is held together by a gold chain in front. Wears deep crimson red as well and occasional lace gowns w/a slightly modern twist, however, at times dresses in more historical clothing.
Personality: She makes her decisions based on the situation. What is best for her and her people, as well as getting rid of scummy criminals she may run across. She is outgoing and appears quite seductive. Cunning and very observant, she has been around for so long that she has learned much. She is very intelligent and wise, however very occasionally makes snap decisions resulting in a predicament for her. Although she is Tremere, she tends to make her decisions based on her own ideas. She is very much her own person, but is for the most part, dedicated to her clan.
Weapons: Telekenesis. Martial arts of all types. Traditional shinobi weapons, including but not limited to; katanas, wakizashis, throwing knives and stars, and such, as well as one high-powered pistol, with a cache that supports 20 rounds. She is a stellar marksman, as she has practiced relentlessly. Also, her Nihonto (katana) and her Wakizashi are custom made to split in half resulting in two blades, as well as having both sides of each blade being sharpened. She has been at this forever, and is capable of deflecting bullets with these weapons. Telepath, although she can stop other vampires from reading her mind.
Bio: Aeschia was turned by Marius, as well as being his wife ever since she was turned. She has lived her entire life with Marius until recently. Currently they are separated for unknown reasons, but this is likely temporary. She tends to wander and travel the world in search of places she can help her clan, as well as herself, not necessarily in that order. She loves to live lavishly, and has her entire life. She can be a bit of a hedonist at times... clubbing a lot, etc. The rest of her past, other than being with Marius, is largely unknown due to her age.

An addition to her char. She is Tremere, and because of her age and status, was to be one of the 7 leaders of the clan. She declined this, thus she does not have to drink from one of the 7 current leaders and she may travel freely.

I don't think my character would fit quite right into any of those clans, being that he is not very human. Can I just make up my own for this RP?

Weapons: A pair of long, narrow bullwhips, wich he wields with deadly precision.. Because he is so small, he can easily sneak up on his victims.

Bio: Dark Dino was a member of a special cast of assassins employed by future president of the Letter A, Plankton. Plankton created them specifically to eliminate his brother, King P. Lankton. Succesfull, Plankton dismissed the entire caste, and they separated to wander the world. Dark Dino is probably the only one to become a vampire.

Just asking how is a microscopic protozoa supposed to attack a 5' person with microscopic whips? I mean the person would even feel it. Also you mentioned that he can sneak up a people really well. When a protzoa can only go 3 feet in one hour? By the time the protozoa got there his target would have left already.:confused:

I never understood the difference between Brujah and true Brujah. From what I understood, the only difference was that the Brujah were descendents from the original Antedullivian and the the regukar Brujah were desendent of the vamp the diablozed him.

Well from that site I gave out earlier,

She raised him in a almost upperclass life style and shortly after his seventeenth birthday, she turned him into a member of the Sons of Discord.

He has since continued studying music, as well as practicing the 'gentlemanly arts'.

When the Daughters of Cocaphony were introduced in VTM, it was mentioned that very few were male. Years laters, in Vampire Storytellers Companion, it revealed the Daughters had recently purged themselves of all males.

In the Laws of the Night Revised, the male faction were referred to as the Sons of Discord.

In Nights of Prophecy (pg.44-45), there was a transsexual member called Celeste who was revealed to have survived the purge. Only he and his Sire known he was born a male.

I was just working off the site you posted, as I never played VTM.

In the Sisters of C page, it mentions that they can use they're singing to harm a vampires mind.
The Daughters of Cacophony are singers without peer, but their melodious harmonies are not their main claims to fame. It is the damage their songs can do to the mind that causes their Kindred concern.

The Toreador are of two minds in their dealings with this bloodline. While they cannot deny that the Daughters have incredible skill in their chosen art, more than one Toreador has been forever twisted by one disjointed note. The Daughters' songs can be as horrid as they can be beautiful, and there is no way to know their intentions until they act.

My experience is that if most of the people in the RP are writing long posts, everybody will feel like they have to and subsequently write long ones themselves.

My point wasn't that it is hard to make a long post in a character RP. My point was that character RPs are all about interaction between character (meaning conversation and such), so to say avoid interaction... well... that just doesn't work.

When I asked the question, DN said it was pretty much as is regarding weaponry... (IE... no laser guns, etc.), and that things are sort of the way they are now and this will take place on earth.

I asked you about it previously... How is the FT part going to be played out, etc. Space ships, laser guns? You said it will take place mostly on Earth and weapons are pretty much what is around now. Genetic tampering. It was basically an accident which he happened to survive, so the company which was working on him kept it going, until he escaped. In the old plotline, (and as I hinted at in the bio) this company was trying to genetically enhance/engineer "perfect" soldiers. That said, I'm not trying to make him anything like a first generation vampire. Since he was turned through unusual means, his strength, experience, and all that isn't nearly on par with some of the medium-strong vampires.

I never got too far in the previous RP, mostly due to a *coughgod cough coughmodding cough* Sith Lord who went ballistic in the RP thread. I did not want to deal with that crap.

Anyway, I thought we were on Earth in the last one! lol!!! I remember the Red Cow and some of the plot, but I left quite early, so we're sort of in the same position.

This one will be mostly, I hope, self contained, other than a few reoccurring characters.

This one seems more complicated. The last one didn't have clans and all of that. This required some research on my part w/a lot of help from DN. (TY DN! :) ) Research in which I've likely forgotten most of. :rolleyes: I printed out the clans; however, I hope that the fact that we are from different clans doesn't mean we are all going to be against each other. This is why I made Aeschia rather independent for a Tremere.

Yes! lol! I have a humador of my own. You should always use refillable lighters such as Colibris with butane bottles to refill. Lighter fluid will ruin a good (any) cigar. If you really want to get snobby about it, but I have tried it both ways, and a Colibri-type is the way to go. :D

Draconis, I was doing additional research on the Daughters and was wondering if I could 'add' the abilities/secondary abilities from the Clanbook.
There are no new 'dangerous' powers(except maybe one), just more generalized powers.
The possible 'dangerous' power is:

Princes on good terms with Daughters of Cacophony sometimes have the songstresses croon before they may an appearance, bolstering their fellow Kindred with a sense of loyalty.The song the vampire sings must also reflect the emotions she wishes to engender–no one's going to mob the concert security no matter how well she sings "High Hopes," but they might if she wails "Cop-killer'.
Essentially it allows a Daughter(or in my case a Son) to manipulate emotions to some extent.

Also, Gabriel would likely avoid a Daughter if at all possible.

Draconis, I was doing additional research on the Daughters and was wondering if I could 'add' the abilities/secondary abilities from the Clanbook.
There are no new 'dangerous' powers(except maybe one), just more generalized powers.
The possible 'dangerous' power is:

Essentially it allows a Daughter(or in my case a Son) to manipulate emotions to some extent.

Also, Gabriel would likely avoid a Daughter if at all possible.
